Bugsy's in St. Catharines

We had a reservation for 6 people for a family meal. We had all been chatting about how it had been at least a decade since any of us had been, but all had fond memories and hoped the food would still be as good. The food exceeded everyones expectations. The service was great. The server was someone who had served us all many years ago. We were all shocked at the continued consistency that Bugsys still offers. Its kind of a shame that it had been so long. But it definitely wont be that long before we are back again.

A good place for Pizza and a beer! Lots of good food and drink choices. Long time St. Catherines favorite..

Been coming here since highschool! Now I get to enjoy it with my wife and kids. Staff are incredible. Id love to review the full menu but I cant get myself to order anything other than the sports special pizza & wings!! One of my favourites in the city by far. Kid-friendliness: Staff are great with my two kids!

Bugsys has been a favorite restaurant & bar of mine for many years. If you love beer, their selection of 100+ beers will keep you coming back for new taste experiences. The food & service are also pleasures.

Great service and atmosphere!

I have explosive diarrhea after every visit. The food is not even worth it. I went to the bathroom, and found human feces on the floor. I told a waitress, and she told me she would have it cleaned. The next day, I came back with my buddies, and went to relief myself, and the whole bathroom smelt like a dumpster. It was crazy. I left in tears. They charged me for somebody elses bill, and didnt fix it. Horrible experience, I do not feel safe entering this establishment again. Do not recommend, stay safe people.

The reason for the 1 star is exactly what it means. If I could make it a NO STAR I would. Manager has issues too numerous to mention. She is really something to look at.

Couldnt decide where to go tonight and ended up at a classic choice. Bugsys, they have great food. Huge portions. Had deep fried mushrooms, onion rings and Cajun chicken wings. So much food. Such a great beer selection obviously. Great staff and service. It was quieter than usual tonight but had some great conversation and the waiter (Polly pocket) was awesome.

I ordered a French onion soup last evening still not recovered the trauma from it. It was horribly salty. I had to waste the whole soup.

Wings are good but $21 for a lb . Seems like a rip off . Chicken parm was mediocre at best . Used to love this place , seems to have gone downhill

This has been a staple in our family for birthdays get together and just dinner with anyone really food I amazing even though its a sports bar its always great with my grandparents and family too never had a bad meal or service

Great chicken parm and awesome staff

Bugsys is just a short 2 minute walk from our house and has become one of our favourite places to eat dinner or have a drink. The service is always very friendly and welcoming. My wife loves the quesadillas and the wings are also delicious. Highly recommend this place.

A st Kitts institution, theres never a bad time to come here. Theyve mastered the fried pickle. The pizza is god level, and its an affordable choice for the whole family.

The place has always been busy when I come in, but the servers are nice. You just have to wait a while. Their mains and apps are solid, but their sides have never been good when I go. I try something different each time and havent enjoyed any yet.

Ordered a Cheeseburger and fries. From what I could tell the burger was a boxed frozen Burger, I expected a homemade burger, definitely not homemade. French fries were dried out, the bun seemed stale. I probably wouldnt go back except maybe for a beer , but definitely not the food the restaurant seemed nice inside and the atmosphere seemed okay but I definitely wouldnt recommend that hamburger or maybe its just me too picky. The people I was with seemed to like their food okay but they never complain about anything.

It was very busy on a Thursday night. Found it very dark and loud. Food was not very good. Sky high corned beef was flat. Salad was tasteless and soggy.

Have been here multiple times and each time I feel the service declines a little more. Arrived at the front and waited 10 minutes for someone to seat us - despite 4 different staff members walking right by us multiple times without even a simple Hello. Requested a drink menu, the server simply said no we don t have one. She didn t ask if there was something we wanted or were looking for in particular. I find it very odd since half of this place is a bar - and no drink menu. I saw what looked to be delicious frozen cocktails but no idea what is available or how much they cost so we didn t order any alcoholic beverages. The server never came over to our table on her own accord. We had to flag her down to order water, then again to place our food order, again to request a take out box and one last time for the bill. Food was average pub fare - nothing special. Won t return.

Good hometown watering hole. Servers get to you as fast as they can but no matter how busy they get I ve always got a full drink and everything else I need. Food is unbelievable, think top top tier pub food made with love at an awesome price. Definitely recommend Bugsys, a long time Niagara Region establishment that I get to call a new home.

The Bugsys gangster burger was really good. The steak was okay, wanted medium well but the middle was more done medium. Servers were great. Gonna visit again for the burger for sure!

Not a bar/pub not sure what they call it I would recommend. Waited at the front door for 10min as the sign said wait to be seated then went to the bar waited there for 10min to get a drink and a menu amd that was the last time anyone talked to me. Left the money on the counter after waiting 20min later and left. Was only 3 people sitting at the bar.

Great spot in St. catherines. It is one of the most consistent restaurants in the area. Crowd is always great. Servers are polite, knowledgeable, and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. One of myself & my fiances favorite spots! Great job bugsys team!

What can I say about this place that hasnt been said a thousand times below ... 5 stars all around ! Never had a bad meal there . Pizza is reasonably priced and amazing . Good friendly atmosphere, great staff.

I m from the US and I am a hot wing junkie. I always found it odd that most wings here in Canada that claim to be Buffalo sauce are tomato/ketchup based. It is doubly odd since Buffalo is about a 30 min drive away. Enter Bugsy s. Best wings I ve had in a long time, US or otherwise. Chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce was heavenly. Wife also had the sesame ginger wings and those were great too. Oh and definitely recommend the fried pickles app. Just don t make the same mistake as me and continuously eat them while piping hot! Service was great as well! Only downside I would say is the wings are a tad pricey, but that might save me (and my waistline) from eating them every day.

I think bugsy s is one of the better tavern like places. That s why it s packed in there most of the time when we go there. Prices are on the higher end of the tavern food but it s worth it. You get a decent amount and it s tasty.

I am not sure whats happening but prices are going up everywhere and its just not making sense. We went and they had 10 wings for 18.95 how is this possible?? Wings by the case have not doubled. How are people affording to go out nowadays, is my big question? Anyway, very expensive now and the food is just okay. For the money they charge they should give you massive portions. Anyway I am in shock at how many people were in this place and the prices. What is our world coming too!!

Great Atmosphere and service...... Food is awful... What happened to you Bugsys? Our entire table was disappointed with the food the last couple times we have been there! And no one asked as to why most of the food was left on our plates. You wont see me back unless something is done to change.

We really like Bugsys and are here often. The service here is always superb and the food is great. There have been a couple instances of over packed pulled pork on pizza that made it soggy, and a cold soup, but none of that will deter us from coming back here. Not all places are perfect, but the food here has been consistently great despite the one or two hiccups, and the service is always top notch. Things we love are the Bugsys Super Smoke House Pizza, the sneakily good reuben they have here, and the gangster burger. Also one of the better chicken finger places in town. This is a spot worth coming out to with friends or family, and it has a little something for everyone.

I am basing my review off of the majority times I ve been there. My most recent visit wasn t the greatest. Service was slow (but the server was running around basically, I think he was doing too much at once) the apps were extra fried and generally the food was mediocre. Usually we have good experience here but the last time was tough.

Came in last night for a group dinner , only half of us showed up but the staff were cool with it. I have to say, I don t think I have ever had better service . Our server was so fast, my drink was never empty, she split all the bills perfectly. The food was also fantastic, best wings I think I ve had in years. Would love to go back again when I m in town, again server was amazing!

W went to Bugsy restaurant on a posting that the ribs were listed for $ 23.00 with the 2nd order was $ 6.00 this was taken from there menu that was posted on there web site. We got there and the price had the price had increased by $8.00 with the 2nd order had increased by double. We did not have the ribs so we ordered from the menu It was the the worst meal we have ever gotten the sandwiches did not have much meat on them and the fries were burned. I would suggest you update your website with the currant prices. We did not the eat the fries.

Always a great chill place to have lunch or dinner. Food is great! They have a pretty big menu, so everyone will find something they love here!

First time at Bugsy and for sure coming back again and also try take-out option. My friend and I truly enjoyed the late lunch seating. Price was unexpected at the time when going to a restaurant is almost prohibited, especially if you have beer or wine and the food is great. As a first time customers, we will come back!

Stopped in for a late lunch, my wife had the meatball sub, she loved it, I had a classic club with their fresh cut fries, thank you for still offering the traditional club,it was great and my son had a 4 slice pizza, he devoured that. The service was fast and friendly and priced right.

Always spot on with consistency! Great value for the buck and awesome pub atmosphere. Tons of tables and tables are never missed or forgotten. Had only 1 off meal in 3 years! Whenever I have a meeting with a client in St. Catherines, we always go here to discuss business. Our go-too food is a couple of pounds of wings and pulled pork pizza. The staff is ways friendly and excellent serving us. Thank you Food

Went here for a dinner date after finding it after class one day. And I have to say, i m surprised that i ve never been sooner!! Me and my partner got mozzarella sticks and garlic bread for an appetizer and they were fresh and absolutely delicious. Stretchy cheese, soft yet crispy slices of bread. An amazing start. For our main dinner we got an eight slice pepperoni pizza and 10 medium wings. The pizza was a thicker dough, yet had a nice crunch to the bite. The wings were crispy and the chicken was absolutely juicy. The location and atmosphere of the place give it a sense of home almost. With the lively environment. We will be definitely returning here in the future.

I took my wife and a few friends to Bugsys for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. I love the atmosphere there and the food was delicious. Our meals were delivered hot without much of a wait.

I ate here twice on my latest visit to Canada and found it a very enjoyable place to have a meal and so must alot of people cause it was busy both times but didnt effect the service no long waits

Went for my companys yearly Christmas party. Had the back room. It was really good. Ive been before to this place with my parents. The wings are fantastic

Had a great time here. One of the best pulled pork sandwiches Ive ever had and the drink menu is amazing. Only minor complaint is that service was a bit slow but it was so busy I think thats pretty understandable. Overall great and cant wait to go back!
