Good food. Extremely friendly staff. Will return!

Lovely place and people with massive portions for relatively cheap. Came late at night and the place was still incredible and very respectful. Could not recommend more for soup rice and beef

They say that Chef Mis has the best hot and sour soup in St Catharines and they were not lying. It was phenomenal. My lips were still in flames, 1/2 an hour later. The wife was was very surprised by the substantial amount of food that came with the curried chicken, which was deliciously spicy as well.

Great noodles for a great price

The best Chinese food I have had in Canada since I arrived 2 years ago. I have tried several dishes and they are all very tasty, on the menu I recommend changing the steamed rice for fried rice

We went as a family after a long day of travel and this place was exactly what we needed. The wonton soup was packed with wonton (not like 2 at other places) and everything was made fresh. The gentleman running the place gave us recommendations as he saw we were not overly familiar with authentic Chinese food. This was a great place for folks that want Chinese style food as well as American versions of the same. Thank you for being so nice. Chef Mi also made my 9 year old daughter easy chopsticks and she was so happy to be able to use them. My other daughter who is a dumpling expert gave it 5 stars.

My wife and I drove in from Toronto just to change up our environment and we re so glad to have our final meal of the day at this certified BANGING establishment. I consider myself a Chinese food connoisseur as it s my favourite cousine and this place was an absolute delight to eat at. I will be back. The food? - Flavourful The service? - Excellent. My stomach is happy. My taste palette is happy My mind is satisfied and satiated. EVEN MY EYES were full of delight-as the food we had was even pleasant to look at with its rich deep colours. We ordered The grilled broccoli, mushrooms and chicken wings chefs kiss, the mushrooms were flavour bombs , BOOM!!! Kung Pao Chicken was a KNOCKOUT! POW!!! The fried rice forget about it just make sure when you re in downtown St Catherine s you make it a priority to eat here.

I support not wasting food, however! You don t need to put the head of the chili pepper (the part with the branches) too...who eats the roots?

Chef Mi is a hidden gem amidst the rough downtown of St.Catharines. Every plate of food is created with care delivering a delicious flavour in every bite. This is my go to spot for dinners with friends and take out! Make sure you order the Mapo Tofu for a truly authentic experience!

The servers and chefs were great! So accommodating and funny! 10/10 experience, will be coming back Vegetarian options: Veggie options arent marked strictly but the waiter will make sure you get what you need!

Definitely a great place to go if you want authentic Chinese food, home cooked style comfort food, always order from Chef Mi s when I don t feel like cooking. Great selection, I recommend the egg fried rice Delicious home-cooked stir-fries, I recommend their saliva chicken and egg fried rice! The scallion pancakes are also good. I usually eat here when Im too lazy to cook.

Sour and spicy noodle was delicious!!! This place satisfied my Chinese BBQ craving. Kong Pao chicken was a bit on the sweet end but it s definitely a place worth visit!!

The owner/manager of this restaurant was exceptional. I ordered an Uber order and when it came to me the bag had busted and there was liquid leaking everywhere. A very chef-fy spot. Chef Steven purposely served and also sold us on all the plates we had for dinner. The boiled fish with pickled vegetables perfectly showcased the high quality peppercorns the restaurant uses. If you re familiar with Szechuan cuisine, you ll know it is done well here. Very hospitable and a great dining experience.

You order from a menu and write down the number of the dish you want to try. You will be asked if you want it spicy or milder. I tried the chicken and mushroom dish and it was so delicious. A quiet restaurant near the downtown farmers market. The food is very authentic and deliciously prepared. It has a great variety of foods available as well. The server took her time with us and helped us to choose something else when a certain item was not available. A wonderful dining experience! Parking: It is downtown so on the weekend parking is not too bad at all, but otherwise you might have to pay. We walked because we live nearby.

Food were ok but a bit pricey. We got a parking violation ticket within a few minutes cuz we didnt know parking on the street has to pay. Dont see the sign or the sign isnt big enough to be seen. Parking: Got to watch out for the parking violation notice

if you want to taste the best and true delicious typical Chinese food, come and have a try! No steak served, it is not western style. But you will definitely be impressed by its Chinese food! Service might not be the best, but food will be!

Ordered Uber, desperately needed some spicy food. Very diligently packed. Taste overall great I find veggie a bit too much oil. Spicy noodles is my favourite. Orders with tax was 500cad but Uber ended up 70cad.

Chef Mi is a place I discovered after being recommended to me by a coworker and I soon saw why it was suggested! Food is amazing and the employees are so friendly, definitely a can t miss spot if you re in downtown St. Catharines!

Once upon a time, a dear friend introduced me to this place, and my life changed for the better. There may or may not be a cult following around the dumplings at my work too. You dont want to miss out on this place.

Incredible food at great prices! Always hot (except for my favourite szechuan cold noodles) and extremely authentic, fresh flavours. I highly recommend the szechuan cold noodles and the chili oil wontons! Their menu is huge so if you re not afraid to try new things then I would 1000% recommend diving right in. When ordering for takeout, they almost always have my food ready within 20 minutes. Also available to order on uber and fantuan which makes everything super convenient. Parking: There s free parking in the lot across the street & on the street after 6pm on weekdays, but you must pay starting around 7am. All parking is free on weekends!

I go here for lunch and their customer service is awesome and the prices are not pricey. The staff care about their customers and take the time to get to know their customers. I enjoy supporting local businesses and this is one the is worth supporting . Vegetarian options: I find there Temporary broccoli is the best Kid-friendliness: Its a very mom and pop shop that is family friendly for any occasion with the kids.

There are basically no surprises. The spicy beef clams are delicious. The braised beef noodles are a bit salty and have too much soy sauce.

Stumbled to this restaurant after my wife and I had a craving for soup. I ordered the stewed beef and wife ordered the Kung Poa Chicken. We also ordered some dumplings to share. My stewed beef was absolutely fantastic. It had lots of flavour and there was plenty of beef. My wife absolutely loved the Kung Poa Chicken. She s very picky when it comes to Chinese food and she absolutely loved her meal. Everything we had was fantastic. To top it off the owner was our server and he was amazing. Our experience in this restaurant was top notch and will definitely come back. If you re craving authentic Chinese food, I highly recommend Chef Mi

Dumplings are great :)

Amazing menu at a hidden in plain sight restaurant. From the outside it looks like a typical downtown chinese restaurant. Then you see the menu and realize its something quite different. Quite good! Its not your typical North American chinese food. Its authentic and SO good! We love the food and have been back multiple times! Each time, we order the chili dumplings, coupled usually with an udon noodle dish. The kung pao chicken is amazing. Truly we love all the dishes tried! Treat yourselves!!

There is a Chinese restaurant and barbecue place in the waterfall. It is worth recommending. The only drawback is that there is no beer for sale.

The food is awesome (and authentic) szechuan cuisine the owner is very friendly and accomodates special requests the place is cozy and tastefully decorated the prices are reasonable and, IMO, good value for the quantity. And did I mention the food is incredible ? and awesome ? You will not be disappointed.

Worst wanton soup I ever had. The soups broth had no flavor it was basically hot water. I was on my lunch and scrapped the salt from pretzels to try and a little flavor. The wontons in the tasteless broth were not too bad, breaking those open in the broth and stirring with the salt from the pretzels made a big difference.

The beef fried rice that costs 16 dollars a portion is terrible. The rice is hard and has no flavor. The beef is chewy. It s a terrible restaurant.

GREAT QUALITY FOOD.

We ordered from Chef Mi on Uber Eats and were thrilled with how quickly the food arrived. It was hearty and so tasty. We tried the Chicken Rice Noodles & Pork Fried Noodles, both of which were full and heaped platters. We also tried the Deep-Fried Dumplings. Everything had a lot of flavour and felt very authentic. I honestly wish we had ordered more and am very happy with the food we did order. For sure will be ordering here again whenever the Chinese food craving hits.

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant Ive ever been to. My fiancee and I walked in expecting the standard take-out fare but instead stumbled onto what is one of the best hidden gems weve ever found. We were in the area for vacation so we cant eat there again any time soon, but if we ever find ourselves in St. Catherines again, we will be coming back here.

They have very good chicken soup, and after we ordered, the chef wanted to make sure that we knew the soup was for 2 as we had also ordered a miso soup which I feel shows he is genuine and trustworthy. The place has a nice relaxed vibe and comfy booths. Very authentic, not westernized Asian food. The lamb and squid skewers were very good and the kung pao chicken. Would be nice to have a beer with the skewers but I guess they dont have a liquor license. They also dont have dessert but maybe that will change. We will back anyway.
