Had our Christmas party here. Food was amazing. Never waited on a drink. The staff treated us like a million bucks. Was an amazing experience for all 25 of us. Thank you

Incredible experience & service

Last evening, my family and I decided to go here. My husband called to see if there was parking available. The receptionist hung up on him. He called back to ask the same question and she hung up again. The third time he called she immediately hung up. All he was able to say was hello. He proceeded to call three more times and he was sent straight to voicemail. My cousin decided to call from her phone and the receptionist answered. She answered the same question my husband asked of her and even gave us her name. When we arrived the hostess, Mikayla, who was also the receptionist, seated us. The tables were dirty and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. I dont understand why she would seat us at a dirty table to begin with. That was the first red flag. There were only six people in the restaurant. This was the second red flag. We decided to stay because we were already there and the dining options are very slim. Everyone ordered burgers and fries. The fries and sweet potato fries were horrible to say the least. They were hard and dried out as if they reheated them. However, I must say the burgers were good. We told Mikayla about the fries and she immediately wanted to fix it. Although we declined she brought them anyway. The fries were definitely a better batch and hot. Mikayla should not be the face and voice for this establishment. She lacks customer service and needs training. Our first time in Canada was not a great experience at all. Everyone is rude and can never give us a straight answer as if we should already know. I came, I saw, and dont need to come back.

I had a fantastic experience at The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro! The customer service was outstanding; the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised when they let me use the restroom for free, which is not always a given in many places. Their respectful and courteous response really stood out. The ambiance and atmosphere were top-notch cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The food was amazing, but it was the exceptional service that truly made my visit memorable. I highly recommend The WORKS for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming environment!

Food is delicious as always, no matter which city you eat in! Service was impeccable - our server Julia was chatty and told us about the local things to check out in St Catherines - I will definitely go back! Parking is not free though and the meters hardly ever work - Julia was amazing and recommended a workable solution there too! The cook was super friendly too altho I didnt catch his name - he brought out a second serving of spicy cactus cut fries as they were out of regular cactus cut chips, much to our delight!

The kitchen was playing their own music over the music that was already playing in the restaurant. They took forever to get out burgers out, and when they did, they burnt both burgers they were super dry and almost could eat it. For a 20$ a burgers, not even close to worth, im never going back

Everything was on point it was during the day so it was not busy. Food was great. I recommend.

I used to love coming here, it has been a long time since I have. I went with my family today and was honestly not impressed. The food was amazing, thankfully. Service was friendly and very good with my boys. My only issue is the place doesnt look like anyone has been maintaining it... lock in womens washroom doesnt work... the faucet fully comes off of the sink so I had to use family room to wash my hands as sanitizing stations are also empty. Cleanliness and maintenance of a restaurant is honestly more important to me than the food and service.

Wanted to give a shout out to the kitchen staff - I got take out and my grilled chicken burger was cooked to perfection, the best one Ive ever had at the Works, Ive eaten at quite a few the Works. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and my order was ready really quickly. I came back for a second order for my daughter because she had one bite and insisted I get another her. Thank you very much!!!

Worst burger Ive ever had. Took 45 mins to get our order and it was burned, dry, missing toppings (no avocado or beechwood sauce which were supposed to come on it) and cold like it had been in the fridge. My kids got the wrong sides. So disappointed as Ive wanted to try this place for awhile. Server was nice but extremely slow as well.

Waited 40 plus minutes for a cold burger and fries. The burger was dry and the patty tasted bland. For a place that specializes in one thing and charges a premium for it... its kind of sad that they couldnt do that one thing better.

Burgers were okay but missing the traditional lettuce and tomato. Onion rings and sweet potatoes fries were garbage. Onion rings didnt have any flavour and hard. Sweet potato fries didnt have any salt/flavor. Overpriced menu. Washrooms are small and semi-clean. Overall, unsatisfied and will never go back. Waiter was friendly and efficient.

The burgers are great:) the meat was nice and juicy toppings were delicious. My burger had their BBQ sauce on it, while it wasnt mind blowing, it was really good. The fries are fresh cut and very crispy which I loved. Their gravy was good, again not mind blowing but very good. The overall food experience was above average. The waitress we had was attentive and accommodating. I have no complaints. She was lovely. The restaurant itself was comfortable and the location is def easily accessible. Had a pleasant meal over all.

Our FIVE STAR server Tasha was excellent!!! Califlower, burger and fried chicken were great too. Fries and sweet potato fries were cold. The big disappointment was when we paid the $50 gift card received from my wife in January 2020 that couldnt be used for 2.5 years due to COVID turned out to be worth $6.61. Disappointing!!!

Excellent wide variety of burger options for everyone. You can customize your burger however you like, down to a science. The onion rings are top notch! Great date spot! :)

We crossed the border to try this burger joint and its definitely worth it! We were lucky that the place werent so busy so the service was fast and friendly. Absolutely amazing service. Dinner was awesome. We asked our server if they gave veterans a discount. She said only around remembrance day. Ill make a suggestion to the manager next time we go there for a meal that all year round would be the right thing to do. Cheers

Staff are excellent here and the manager is always around to make guests feel welcome and taken care of. Going the the Works, St. Catharines location, you know you are going to get good food no matter what. The burgers are always excellent, great appetizer options and their sweet potato fries are to die for! Its never a hit or miss in my experience, Ive been quite a few times and always had a great experience. I would recommend the blue cheese burger and pickle spears, with a glass on Wayne Gretzky Cream on the rocks! The staff do an excellent job, best of all they seem pleased to work here, which is a good sign.

1st time eating there and although it may seem pricey for a burger .... I insist otherwise! Likely the best burger these tastebuds have ever had, and I WILL be back! Highly recommend Food : 5/5

Fantastic burger. I tried The Works for the first time and I loved the burger. I got the sautéed mushroom & onion burger (forgot the name). It was extremely delicious! I would definitely come here again.

Food is good, but I usually order from Uber eats and they give you the smallest container for gravy and they don t even fill it past halfway. Probably won t order from here again due to pricing and having the same re occurring problem.

We had a very enjoyable evening. The food was great - unfortunately, they no longer have the portabello mushroom as a burger patty substitute. I am a huge fan of the wrecking balls and love the roasted bacon garlic aioli. Our awesome waiter - Dane - played along with all of my grandsons antics. Shout out also to the other waiter and waitress that were working tonight. They all made us feel very welcome. I think my granddaughter enjoyed her first time at The Works St. Catharines. Parking: Unfortunately they do not have their own parking lot but depending when you go there is reasonable parking within a block around the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: The meals for the kids are perfectly sized for the little ones. They offer a coloring page for the kids with crayons. The opposite side of the coloring page is the kids menu!

Hard to beat the burgers at the Works! Many creative burger creations to choose from. The Weeds with grilled chicken was excellent as well. If youre in St. Catharines, check it out. Vegetarian options: I didnt order it but they have a vegetarian option.

Okay so I got the cheese one burger. found it overcooked and dry. My son got the Wagyu beef burger again found it overcooked and dry. My wife got the pineapple one and said she like it. My daughter got the poutine with bacon and liked it. So two out of four!! sorry would NOT go back again

Somehow they managed to dry out a waygu burger, put carmelized onions instead of crispy, bbq sauce very mediocre. Bacon was good, bun was good, poutine not good. Fries were hard and undercooked and gravy tastes very bland. Finally tried this place but it s was terrible.

I recently had a deeply unsettling experience at The Works, and it is with a heavy heart that I share my thoughts on what transpired during my visit. My boyfriend and I decided to dine at this establishment, excited to enjoy a meal together last night (November 23, 2023) at around 4 pm. Unfortunately, the evening took a sour turn due to the discriminatory treatment I faced. From the moment we walked in, I sensed an uncomfortable shift in the atmosphere. The staffs demeanor towards me, a person of color, was markedly different from their treatment of my white boyfriend. It became apparent when our server, who was prompt in filling my boyfriends water glass, seemed to conveniently overlook mine. Initially, I brushed it off, thinking it might be an oversight. However, as the evening progressed, the pattern of differential treatment became increasingly evident. What struck me the most was the overt hostility and indifference I encountered throughout the meal. While my boyfriend received polite and attentive service, my requests were met with dismissive glances and delayed responses. It was disheartening to witness such blatant discrimination in a supposedly inclusive and welcoming establishment. As a customer, I believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race or background. Sadly, this was not the case at The Works. The discriminatory behavior I experienced left a lasting impression on what should have been a pleasant dining experience. I sincerely hope that The Works takes this review as an opportunity for introspection and reevaluation of their staff training and customer service practices. No one should have to endure such treatment based on their race, and I trust that steps will be taken to ensure a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons in the future.

My girlfriend and I went to this location and neither of us have any complaints, food was excellent, and our server was very nice as well, would highly recommend!

Very good value, especially if you get a combo from the lunch menu. I particularly recommend the smoky mountain burger which has bacon, bbq sauce and Monterey jack cheese. This comes with unlimited soda and unlimited fries as well. Plenty of decent to great food for a great value here and the employees are very friendly as well.

the food is only good if you re there to hold them accountable, when ordering takeout from them chances are they ll cut corners, happened for the second and last time to me, i recieved uncooked fries last night through delivery with my burger, i could tell they were uncooked because they were soaked like a sponge and when i squished it it was hard in the middle still. tried getting a refund and almost did until uber contacted the restaurant, i m assuming you saints called me a liar even tho i had picture proof because immediately after talking to you uber began ignoring me indefinitely

Probably our 4th time at the st Catharines location. This place always has smiling, friendly staff. The food as usual is fantastic and we always leave full.

The best burger I have tried so far! I tried the one with blue cheese called Blues burger and chose the patty filled with cheese. A very cheesy burger I can say, and so delicious! Still sitting in the restaurant with a big smile on my face My son loved his kids menu too and my wife tried the Juicy Lucy. Everything is delicious and the prices are reasonable! The service is very fast and the staff are awesome! If you need burger, this is the place. Id love to share some photos, but couldnt stop myself and finished it all

Had the lunch special which includes a burger, fries and pop. They call themselves The Works but the burgers are pretty plain to be called The Works. However, the quality of the burger was good. Service could be a bit more attentive I think.

Had terrible experience there. Burger came badly burnt black on both sides. My table was mostly finished meal and still no replacement. Left disappointed and hungry. Was a weekly customer, never returning. no one reached out after either. This place is a shell of its former self.
