Dont get anything seafood. They dont know how to time it with other dishes that take longer to cook so it sits there getting cold while other meals are being made . Thankfully they are fine with refunds on bad food. Go to Rizzos instead for pasta. 100x better for only slightly more

Fabulous, fabulous and more fabulous. We moved to St. Catharines from Toronto three years ago and had basically given up on a nice local restaurant date until last night. What a wonderful dinner was served to us at Coppola s. Every one of our party thought the food to be absolutely delicious. Finally, far fewer treks to Oakville and Toronto.

Recently dined here and had a fantastic dinner. We had the veal chop, linguini surf and turf , lasagna, garlic bread and the antipasto. The food was excellent, well proportioned and served hot. Our server was very attentive , we had comfortable seating with low lighting and a little lamp on our table. Nice atmosphere. Lots of food choices and an extensive wine list. Everyone we came into contact with was welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend both dining here and the need for reservations. Parking: Large parking lot with additional overflow parking around the side of the building. The main large lot is paved, the overflow is gravel.

Coppolas is amazing! Each time I ve gone the food is always amazing. I had a small wedding in August and had my reception dinner at Coppolas. They were very accommodating, set up our own private section in the back of the store, the servers were very friendly and all of our food arrived very quickly and was delicious! So thankful they helped make our big day special and I cannot recommend them enough.

We love this place. We drive 90 k each way and have done this several times a year since a year after they opened.

Dropping our son off to university and after hours of traffic and move in, plus a Sunday?!? Whats open?!?!? This place blew our minds. If you want to eat amazing food, with great atmosphere(a little odd, but fun) and our server Peter(hilarious, attentive, professional, but not stuffy) made it memorable and we will be back for the pizza, the penne and the short rib papardelle. Highly recommend.

Went for an impromptu date night and couldn t have been happier with everything! Started with a Caesar (drink). I don t usually love them at restaurants as my husband makes a killer one but it was excellent. Shared the carpaccio appetizer and it was possibly the best carpaccio we ve ever had. My only complaint is there were SO many amazing sounding dishes on the menu that it was hard to pick. I had gnocchi and hubby had a linguine dish. They were both excellent, and we both brought home half of our meals. They both come with unlimited salad (I had the Caesar and it was delicious). So great that I made reservations on the way out to come back for my birthday in a couple weeks

Waited over an hour and a half for main courses. Arrived at restaurant at 6:30 pm and main courses served at 8:10 pm No updating or apologies along the way. No complimentary wine. Just thoughtless.

After years of waiting for tables at Antica in Niagara for decent Italian food, we found Coppolas randomly one year. Ever since then, theyve become our go to spot. We have not had a bad experience whether visiting in a group or a couple. Weve tried multiple dishes and everytime weve been super happy with the food. Their pasta, aside from the tortenilli, is all homemade and made so well. It doesnt sit heavy. The tortellini with sausage and rapini is my favourite dish. Their Ceasar salad is my favourite anywhere. Its fresh, not drowning in thick ceasar dressing and has so much flavour for a salad. Their calamari is fantastic as well. We always end our visits with their tiramisu which is also very good. The service has never been less than good and is often great. Our last visit was on Sunday and our server was welcoming, funny and personable. We always leave talking about what we want to try next time. Cant wait to be back!

Delicious Italian cuisine with generous portions and exceptionally friendly staff.

We had dinner there last night and I was a bit disappointed in the meal. The service and atmosphere was good but the meal was way over priced. The veal was two small pieces placed on the plate to look like a bigger piece. The penne pasta was about 17 noodles on my plate with a few roasted vegetables. I wish I had taken a picture. This was $39.00. Totally overpriced. Very disappointed in the meal but everything else was great.

Food is super delicious. Portions are huge. Couldn t recommend this spot enough. I had the four cheese lasagna and it was fantastic. Will definitely return when we re back in Niagara. Vegetarian options: Several pasta, pizza, and app options for vegetarians. Lasagna can be made with tomato sauce. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is amazing. Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, amazing staff. They commit to the little details that make it a fantastic experience.

The store was very considerate. When I ordered pasta, they reminded me that I didn t need to order more salad, but I expressed that I wanted to eat more salad, and the store was happy to provide me with more salad. The salad is very fresh, especially the small tomatoes in it, which are obviously carefully selected by the store, and are very fresh and sweet. The bread is also very fresh. The only downside was that the salad was a little on the salty side, even though I asked for a smaller amount of dressing the second time. The restaurant has an elegant environment, attentive service, most of the guests are formally dressed, and the overall dining experience is very pleasant. Although the meal took a little longer, it can be understood that the chef is carefully preparing each dish. (I just saw that the general meal time is 1.5-3 hours )

Asked for veal parmesan with light sauce and penne. Served bathing in tomato sauce and over cooked ( black crisp and dry) a handful of pasta soaked in tomato sauce. For the high price they charged it is not worth it. This restaurant is over rated and wont be returning to this restaurant.

June 1st visit It was a sweltering hot day and we had come back to town to celebrate my high-school reunion and 51st birthday. We hadnt eaten at the event , it was at 3 pm to 7 , and wed over dressed for the weather. Hotel in Thorold offered nothing appealing . But I was home and was craving AUTHENTIC Home made Italian Cuisine! A light bulb , call Coppolas. Wed changed into concert tees and ripped skinny jeans and shorts by this time so we more than happy when the hostess said we could find room for the 2 of us at the bar. Gosh we would have grabbed takeout ! We got there and instead welcomed like family and ushered to a table ! The staff were all so kind and we felt very comfortable regardless of our lack of proper dinner attire . And thank you for the superb non -alcoholic daiquiri! The meal was excellent as per my previous experiences and we couldnt have left fuller. Thank you You are the Gem in Niagara .

I have been to this restaurant a time or two. I even had my wife s retirement party here about 5 years ago! If you desire authentic Italian cuisine and unbelievably fresh salad greens, this is the best place in the region! I have not yet found an equal! Staff are great servers and are funny and congenial. Coppola s deserves your business! Their wait staff deserves the higher tip options! This restaurant deserves high ratings! I swear this to be my truth!

We had our wedding reception here 2 years ago, and our friends and family still talk about it. Communication before the event was very responsive and Gerry worked with us to plan an event we would look back on fondly. On the night of our reception: staff service was incredible, food was delicious with generous portions, and Coppolas collaborated with our vendors incredibly. We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception (not to mention the lovely restaurant we return to now each year for our anniversary).

Went last night for dinner with a co worker as we where out of town for work. We sat bar side for our meal and some drinks. I can say with complete confidence that this the best italian food Ive ever had. The service was delightful. I told my spouse about the meal we experienced and we will surely be stopping in every time we travel to the area.

This place is one of a kind. Very welcoming. The food was to die for. From the mozzarella En Camice to the fig flat bread to the pasta entree. Gerry the owner and staff were very accommodating.. will be back again for sure.

We made reservations for a table of 13. I understand the service needs to be efficient with a large group but our server was unbelievably rude. He was pushy, annoyed with questions, short, interrupted and didnt wait for people to finish talking, condescending and very rude, he was trying to take plates off the table while people were eating and also brough over tale out containers mid-meal We all felt like we were bothering him by being there. I would suggest that if you have a server who is rude to people, (which you shouldnt) dont put him at a table of 13. This server pretty much took all the joy out of our night and ruined it. This was for a reunion of elderly family members who flew across the country to be here. It was very unfortunate. Dinner was good. Service was efficient but horrid. Dessert was overpriced and made from frozen. I wouldnt waste the money on dessert. Better creme brulee from all you can eat sushi and omg lava cake was on par with the one you would get from dominoes pizza. Cheesecake looked ok. The service was very unfortunate. But there wss one girl who came to the table with pepper, she was amazing and she took a picture of our family. Wish she had of been our server.

Booked one they told me i had 3 hours to get in and get out lol Small fam of 3 looking to eat no biggy but the place was dead!!!! I get offended when the false sense of urgency is designed to make you feel lucky your gonna spend a couple hundred bux on average food in dated place... in the ugliest part of st kitts... just saying...

Went for dinner sister in laws 60 th birthday. There was 11 of us, very nice ambiance, and we had a area in the back with a nice fireplace. Our waiter, Pete, was super friendly, Unfortunately, when the food arrived, my stuffed chicken, had nothing inside of it, I was like told it would be 30 minutes for another piece, and I didnt want to eat alone, so I tried eating it, but it was soo dry. I had a few bites of mashed potatoes and a couple carrots. I was thinking they would at least comp something off our bill, since my meal was basically untouched. Disappointed..for sure. The pasta looked good though, probably wont return. 35$ a little pricey for potatoes, Lol.

First time eating here. We ordered our dinner at 6:30 and our food arrived at 8:05... the food itself was very good, but the extreme lateness spoiled things for us. Our server was engaging and pleasant. Unfortunately, she could not explain the delay but did offer us free coffee and dessert.

Came over to spend the weekend in Niagara Falls, but wanted to try something away from the touristy area. So glad we did. Hands down the best gnocchi I have ever had. We are from Syracuse, NY, and have some great Italian places, but nobodys homemade gnocchi compares to this. Oh, their homemade house dressing is amazing. We will definitely be back.

This was our second time dining at the restaurant and I cant say enough how large the food portions are. Along with the friendliest staff and amazing service this is a an amazing restaurant to dine or celebrate an occasion. You wont be disappointed in the food with so much variety to choose from. My husband and I celebrate our 10th anniversary there and the staff felt like family. They cater to all your needs and take the time to make sure your enjoying the food and having a good time. It was our pleasure to meet the owner Luigi who took the time to come to talk with to us and make sure we have enjoyed our dining. Truly a family atmosphere. We will definitely dine there again. We come here for family dinner quite often. Stuffed portabello mushrooms are awesome and I usually get the Tortellini Pavarotti, which is delicious. My father usually always gets the lamb rack, which Im told is very good. Ive never had a bad meal at this place in 20years. They have delicious desserts too. I personally like the creme brulee and the conolli. The lava cake is good too, very chocolately and rich. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta and many vegetarian options

Man who welcomed us into the restaurant was arrogant and made us feel unwelcome, Food was average at best, and this was by far the worst service Ive ever encountered. Middle aged darked haired server, she was so abrasive and ignorant. We have never felt so uncomfortable dining out. Pass me the fork! She demanded at the end when she cleared our table. We have both worked in the past for years in the hospitality industry, and this was by far the worst experience we have encountered. Dont waste your time with this overrated slop. Overpriced and underwhelming is an understatement. You would be better off going to a fast good place. At least the service is better

My husband and I went in for some drinks on Saturday, we had such wonderful service from Carley. She was so lovely to suggest a pineapple upside cake. It was so delicious. Attended bowling banquet. Appreciated that you did not cut up chicken breasts into sliced pieces like you did at last years banquet. Enjoyed the larger portions of chicken breast. The service was good however one of the servers had looks that showed we were inconveniencing her. The blueberry cheesecake was delicious. I wish I could have had Earl Grey tea instead of regular tea Vegetarian options: I cannot eat peppers which the vegetable dish was loaded with. I would prefer more carrots,green beans or broccoli or celery or brussel sprouts. Also not a fan of zucchini which has so little taste.

One of the best filets Ive ever had. Cooked perfectly and wow was it ever tasty. Everyone else ordered pasta and the portions were huge. Greeted at the door by one of the owners and we all had a fabulous evening. Highly recommend if you are celebrating an event or just a casual night out.

St. Catharines Ontario, is one of the most fortunate areas in the Niagara region to have Coppola Ristorante, an authentic Italian restaurant, in this charming Town. My sister and I visited St Catharines during the first week in June 2023. Following an iffy start to our weekend break, we went to Coppola for an early dinner. The restaurant is unassuming and a fabulous find. Superb Italian food with fresh high quality ingredients, presentation, service and attentiveness. We were prepared to order everything on the menu and the daily specials after Patty, our waitress described and answered all our questions. Thank you Patty for suggesting virgin Caesars for my sister and I as we don t drink. The salads, bruschetta, eggplant parm, pasta dishes and crème brûlée were mouth-watering delicious. You don t leave hungry! The entire staff was the best staff we have seen in a very long time. They made us feel like family. This was our first time having visited St Catharines and Coppola Italian restaurant and it certainly won t be the last. They did not disappoint. Luigi, excellent job in selecting, training and mentoring all members of your team. This is what sincere and warm hospitality ought to be, coupled with authentic Italian food. You and your entire team have shown us that. Having owned an Italian and French restaurant myself, I know a good thing when I see it. Keep up the excellent work. I was here to attend a celebration of life luncheon. The food was authentic, just like nonnas! The service was friendly and efficient. The tiramisu was the best ever. Too bad I live so far away, or I would be dining here frequently!

We visited for dinner on a Friday night without reservations and they were super kind and seated us right away. We had a kid with us and they made him feel special. The food was excellent. It was a really enjoyable experience.

Don t go unless you have a reservation. The place was dead, and they have a whole banquet where customers were seated. They should mention this online, and shape up the attitude. When we left, all of a sudden they had a canceled reservation. Most likely won t go back, but thanks anyway.

Great food, honestly the best tmin the area. Been coming for almost 10yrs now. But since covid the servers are extremely rude. Ruined my entire anniversary dinner right at the end when the server felt the need to stop my husband and ask for more tip after we tipped 15%. I wish I could afford more but Ive never ever in my life had a server do that. Completely ruined my entire evening and that was Friday and Im still thinking about it today and its Tuesday. The mature Im assuming Italian women serving in the small section when you walk in, you are rude and should get a different job if you feel the need to come up to your guests. Did you expect him to give you more after that? Shame on you also seeing now that some people get desert on the house for anniversary? Not that I needed it but where is the consistency?

4 couples decided to take advantage of this restaurant s Date Night menu at a flat rate of $95.00, for two! The food was what everyone should expect when dining out! From the chicken parmigiana to the short rib to the fish properly presented, seasoned and in abundance the wine serving was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing food and service

Second time visiting. Had the soup of the day Roasted Pepper and Eggplant. Delicious. Decided to order the Spaghetti Pescatori for my main course. When it arrived I knew already it was not going to be what I expected. The pasta was not spaghetti, it was more of a thicker noodle. It was very dry and stuck together. The fish was on the sides and at the bottom of the dish so I had to dig through the pasta to find small calamari. A few clams and mussels. The sauce was decent but not enough for the amount of pasta that was in the dish. I had two twirls of pasta and couldn t do it. Left it in the dish and ate the seafood which I know was cooked from frozen. When the server came she asked if I wanted a to go container I said no. Right there she should of asked if there was a reason I didn t make a dent in it. But she didn t. We were a party of 20 I know it s a lot of people. Most of our party had mentioned the sauce was dark and not juicy enough. Very thick like the food is sitting under a heat lamp. I know this because I ve worked in many restaurants in my youth. Personally for $39 for a plate of pasta for 10 Pierces of frozen shellfish it s a bit excessive. Atmosphere is ok. Service was good. Salad is good. Won t be there on our own accord only if it s a set date for a celebration of sorts.

Went here for birthday dinner with the family for my wife. The food , service, and overall experience are a well-deserved 6 out of 5. Our server Cindy made the experience wonderful. We told her we were not in a rush and she paced the food perfectly. So many times weve had the experience at other restaurants where we ask not be rushed and than then get rushed out anyway. The place was busy, a couple of big parties were there at the same time, and the food still came out great, and Cindy managed to check on us regularly. The owner came out to check on us and threw in free birthday desert for my wife, which we would have been perfectly happy to pay for. This was just a cherry on top. On our drive home, even our kids were commenting on what a great experience it was. Will definitely be back again.

Love the value for money at Coppola s! It can be quite loud but the food and service is fantastic.

They are so accomodating! Make impossible possible!!! And ....everything is so GOOD and fresh Maybe the red sauce can be cooked a bit longer....but everything is amazing overall!!! Food : 5/5

Wow! This place was a treat. Incredible staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu, especially when it came to gluten and other allergies. They were extremely careful with the food preparation. The options are endless. The taste, incredibleness, the wine selection, beyond amazing. The specialty coffees are even better and even their dessert menu. Everybody enjoyed every single piece of food and drink that was ordered and again, we cannot express enough how wonderful the staff is.

Excellent food and service in this large Italian restaurant, great for groups. This is a cheerful place with excellent food and service. Particularly good for large gatherings, and they have a small bar area to hang out at after dinner. Their Tiramisu is the king of Tiramisus.
