Ordered margarita pizza and Roma salad. The salad was good! The pizza wasn t what I expected. Overall the sauce was far too salty and it could have been cooked longer. The crust was very pale.

The food is good and cheaper compared to restaurants with similar menus the atmosphere is really nice a mix of modern and old fashioned the server was very friendly

We had a family dinner at this location. Servers and staff were friendly and really great. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Food did not come close to expectations. We ve been eating at il fornello for many many many years. honestly can say I would not return for this food but maybe just an off night?

Prior comment is correct. I remember visiting Il Fornello in Mississauga almost 20 years ago and it was very good and more upscale. This place is even a downgrade from East Side Marios now. -The meat balls may have been made with saw dust -The pizza tasted like paint primer This may have been the most disappointing meal ever.

Horrible food, medium service, great atmosphere. (We got three pizzas that were barely cooked and filled with salt, calamari that I swear it was from a bag at Costco, and a chicken salad that had old lettuce) not a good experience and would definitely not go back

Restraunt was empty when we dined. There pizza oven needs to be oiled because all we could hear was it squealing out entire meal. We each ordered the chicken Parm sandwich with fries. Server advised us the fries are actually potatoes. We didnt quite know what to make of that cause arent all fries potatoes? I than asked to add the aracini as an app. When she brought out food she did t bring my sandwich. Assumed I wanted the aracini instead? She rushed a new one from the kitchen for me. Tomato sauce smelt burnt in both the aracini and sandwiches. Bread was also burnt. There werent fries. It was just roasted potatoes, unsure why she didnt say that. Other friend ordered the asparagus and that was actually good though! Wont go again

Don t make reservations here they are not honored at all Revise After writing this review I had the pleas of speaking to someone thru email who was very nice and willing to rectify the situation, we will be trying again when we have time can t wait to write a review on the food.

My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere and service was great and the food was fantastic! The garden salad was really large and had lots of toppings, and both of our pastas were amazing! Can t wait to go back!

My wife and I recently had lunch and the food was very good and as both of our kids love pasta we ordered 2 regular meals to be taken home. We did not order a kids meal or a starter, these were regular meals at the same price that you would pay eating at the restaurant however the portion was less than 50% of what you get at the restaurant. When we got home and opened the boxes the bottom of the box was covered to a height of about 1/2 an inch and that was the extent. I called the restaurant immediately and asked to speak to a manager and was advised that they would call me back. Two weeks later Im still waiting for that call. I would NOT RECOMMEND ordering anything as takeout without checking the portion before leaving the restaurant. Update: August 9,2024 As requested, I replied back to the restaurant on July 29 and have yet to hear any response to my email. Perhaps customer satisfaction isnt all that important after all.

Editing my 5 star review Bring back the old gf crust!!! I used to come here all the time but stop months ago when they switched the crust. This place is a hidden gem! I have a gluten allergy and if you ve ever had a gluten-free pizza the crust is like card board But not from here, I was blow away the crust was so gooooood. 10/10 best pizza I ve ever had!! The staff and service was also great!

5th time come here, 2nd time stayed, 3rd time the pizza oven was broken. For a restaurant that has 25% of the menu as pizza, how can this problem linger this long? And therefore, how long can the establishment continue? Is this place front?

Three meals and an appetizer were ordered during my family s visit. We ordered the scallops, the veal chop, The pappardelle, and the children s pepperoni Pizza. None of my family could finish our meals. They were flavourless and raw. Scallops were a little undercooked and didn t even taste like a scallop all the brine that is seafood was I suspect washed off. As for the veal i asked for medium rare and got a chop that was mostly raw and fat. The vegetables were the best part of my meal. My daughter s pizza had no flavour, which I found really odd, The pasta was one note and flavourless . Safe to say we didn t finish our meal and left all of the leftovers behind. Was a very expensive waste of a meal. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are trying to go out for a bit fancier meal. After a hour 2 out of the 3 of us ended up with upset stomachs. To say Completely dissatisfied would be an understatement .

DON T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! My family and I went for the first time tonight and it was absolute garbage. We even asked what did the food ever do to deserve this treatment.?. We started with the $20 scallop appetizer, then waited about ten minutes to get cutlery. Afterwards the scallops got to just above room temp when we got started. The top was browned nicely but the underside didn t even kiss the pan. No salt or butter was used and the scallops were definitely rinsed and waterlogged. Underdone and cold in the centre left them flavourless. For our mains my daughter started with French fries and a kid s pepperoni pizza. The fries were a single fry and were solid starch in the middle. One of the larger fries was solid in the middle, at least they use real potatoes. Now the kid s pepperoni pizza she took one bite and refused to eat any of the rest. Curiosity lead to her mother and myself to try it out, unbelievably bland. I am still wondering if there was any yeast in the dough. It was completely missing that tang you get with a properly fermented dough. It had that giant missing flavour note that lets you know something s wrong. The sauce was simple and the cheese was fresh. No basil or oregano and if they were suppose to be there you couldn t taste it. The undercarriage wasn t spotted like a wood fire pizza should be. This was completely bland. Her mother ordered the veal chop medium rare. It was raw with white fat for nearly a third of the chop next to the bone. $38 btw. She basically just ate the veg and left the rest. Inedible. I ordered the pappardelle with sausage and unidentified flavours. All you could taste was the fennel seed in the sausage. The pasta wasn t tossed and served with the sausage, parm and arugula served on top. Also I think the pappardelle was rinsed. It had no starch at all for even a hint of flavour. I left over half my meal. I tried but my stomach turned while I ate it. Service was bare minimum. As I stated before we were served our appetizer without utensils. We were only checked on when the mains came. I will say I was glad she brought a large glass bottle of water to the table, little did I know we wouldn t see her voluntarily again. She was asked twice to bring the bill by calling out across the entire empty patio that only had a one other couple in it. We paid over $110, left all the leftovers including 3/4+ of the pizza and will never return. Can t wait for this place to go out of business. Go anywhere else. Would have preferred the burger or chicken joints within eyesight over this garbage. All our stomachs turned by the end of the night. If you re a health inspector reading this, go get em. Shame on you for serving this trash. Shame.

Great dinner at Il Fornello last night. Had the vegan margherita pizza. Wasnt sure what to expect as restaurant vegan food can be hit and miss, but the pizza was excellent. Thin, crispy crust, sweet tomato sauce, cheese was nicely melted and fresh basil on top. Also had a very well made martini. Our server was friendly and prompt. Only complaint was the acoustics. It was busy, so lots of chatter and it bounced around, making conversation sometimes difficult. But otherwise, highly recommend.

Stopped here after a long day of driving and the food was excellent the decor was perfect and even though it was a bit busy the service was excellent and fast Amanda I believe it was gave us a great service and was very informed

Inconsistent hours. Ordered one day at 5:30, tried to order the following week because the deals were great just to be told ordering hours end at 4pm. I can appreciate having a set schedule but when it s applied inconsistently it s just a waste of customers time. Not customer friendly either.

The best gluten free pizza crust I ve had in a restaurant! Ask to be seated in Amanda s section - she s lovely and her recommendations are bang on. Dietary restrictions: Menu is very clearly labeled with many gluten free options.

We had an amazing experience in this place, our server Bailey W. was AMAZING! She was extremely friendly and kind! Our food was terrific, we ordered calamari, arancini, pizzaz, and pastas, each was delicious! We had mishap with one of the pizzas and they corrected it right away! We would definitely come back here, and I would recommend this place if youre looking for a casual Italian experience

The quality of the food was very good. We all enjoyed our meals and appetizers. The service left much to be desired. Right from the start, it took a while to be acknowledged and seated (we had reservations) drinks and appetizers were ordered at the same time however the drink is came much after. The entrees were well done but could have been warmer.

Wow. I was very unimpressed with my experience here. Went during happy hour and ordered drinks with some friends, the place was empty at the time. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then we ordered our food, I ordered gnocchi with extra chicken (7$), which we didn t receive until about one hour in, in an empty restaurant. Once I got my meal, immediately my friends and I were confused where the chicken was. After looking, I found about maybe half a chicken breast worth of chicken. After asking about it, the manager came, holding my plate and explaining that they just cut it differently . Let me be so honest in saying, I was uncomfortable even bringing it up, I really didn t want to complain, but I can t express enough how there was not nearly 7$ worth of chicken. The only solution offered was to take the entire meal off my bill. Sure, whatever. Then they came to collect our dishes, and the manager dropped cutlery on my friend, and didn t even apologize? Absolute cherry on top, was that they didn t add the happy hour discount, and we had to have our bills corrected several times. Upon leaving, our group realized that after splitting in some appetizers, they actually never put the happy hour discount either. Overall, I left the restaurant, still hungry, and honestly pretty disappointed at the service and hospitality, especially from the manager. Our server was fine and was nice, but end of the day this was probably one of the more sour experiences I ve had in a while. Boo! I was so excited to try this place /:

Brought my 5 year old son for a pizza making class. We both enjoyed our visit here! Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The pizza making class was informative and fun and we were able to enjoy what we made. Overall a great time. Kid-friendliness: Pizza making class was great for my 5 year old with a little assistance from myself. he loved it!

Was very disappointed. $26 for store bought gnocchi, as someone who eats store bought and has had handmade many times before. I think it s outrageous to charge that much. Flavour was flat as well.

Cora was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, she was warm and welcoming. We came in on Easter Friday and were happily greeted with a Happy Easter and a run down of the special. The drinks were incredible, the food delicious and the conversation even better. Only downfall is I didn t know this restaurant was here sooner. I ve lived in the area for 4 years now and had no idea. I will happily come back though! Parking: Parking right outside the door. Kid-friendliness: We brought my son who is 8 months and there was a clean, safe highchair and he was happy and content.

We visited for the first time last night. It was AMAZING and we can t wait to go back. The service we received was incredible. We met the manager and you can tell he is so passionate about Il Fornello. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a personalized experience that was top notch. The food was super fresh and delicious as well as the craft cocktails. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was perfect for a date nigh. We can t wait to return! We came in tonight and we re SO disappointed. The service was definitely lacking and the food was terrible. I ordered a pizza that was soggy and sloppy. The pasta with chicken tasted frozen and microwaved. The drinks were also all wrong as far as being way too sour. Definitely not worth returning. Don t know what changed since the last time we were here.

Good value, food was a bit cold. They offer a CAA discount, which in todays economy is a nice touch.

This is a terrific spot. The gnocchi was the best I ever tasted. We had a large group, and the server was great about accommodating dietary restrictions. The vegan options are extensive and delicious- all of us (vegans and non- vegans alike) loved the vegan calamari. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Its a really good spot for booth vegans and omnivores.

This place has no atmosphere. It sounds like an airport inside. Not a great date place. Service was good. Still hungry after we left. Pasta portions were small and this is one of the only Italian restaurants that doesn t serve bread. Food took over an hour and we noticed a lot of food stuck under a heat lamp for long periods of time. Seems disorganized between kitchen and wait staff.

I signed up for a pizza-making class with my daughter and grandson. It was fantastic. I learned so much! My oven doesnt get to 800 degrees, so Ill have to continue getting my Neapolitan pizza at Il Fornello.

Extremely disappointed and will never go back. We went for my birthday and it took over an hour to get appetizers, mine was half cooked half raw. Then waited another hour for meals. Several were sent back for being tasteless. My meal comes in a massive bowl just to fit the bottom of it and was only half a bowl. They discounted our meals but for 6 people.it was still over $200. Such a waste of money and it was the worst birthday dinner ever. I wish I never went here.

Had the calamari app, chicken Parm sandwich and chocolate torta dessert. Everything was great, the calamari stood out, delicious batter and seasoning. Service was great as well.

The first time we went it was amazing, we did dine in and went fairly early for dinner. The service was great, the food was super tasty and the atmosphere was lovely. This time I ordered take out, the Pear and Gorgonzola pizza....I was told 15 mins, no problem, the timing was perfect for me, I get there and was told it would still be another 10 mins, as they were behind on take out orders, ended up being another 20 mins. I totally understand being busy and backed up, but the pizza isnt even cooked....super doughy in the middle, for the money also i didnt feel it lived up to the expectation....I feel like it was a rush job, which is quite unfortunate as its a 26.00 pizza.....I would recommend dining in and avoid take out. The hostess/runner was super apologetic for the delay. If you are running behind and someone calls in for take out, a heads up of being delayed is always appreciated.

The General Manager, Cora, was wonderful! Brought my parents for the first time and her hosting skills were exemplary. When it comes to real Pizza, this place is right up there! So if youve never come here and need a quality pizza, you wont go wrong!

Had the Italian Sausage Pappardelle - just lacked some seasoning or spice. The chocolate torta was very good but the caramel sauce was too hard. Ill be back - looks like a good menu!

My second time trying this restaurant. I had hoped the experience would be better than the first time. Sadly not, which is disappointing because we really enjoy the Toronto location. The atmosphere is rather cold and unwelcoming, especially the overhead lighting which shines directly in your face. This time I ordered the Gnocci special, as I believe that it should be top notch due to being the daily special. The sauce was nice but the gnocci was very hard and chewy. The pizza my companion ordered seemed on the raw side. The Caesar salad croutons definitely need to be improved on as well, they are hard as rocks. Won t be back again

We are from Port Colborne and had an appointment in St. Catharines. We always try to find different places to eat and IL Fornello came up in my search. My husband is vegan and it is hard to find restaurants that can accomidate both of us. This is the place! Awesome food, atmosphere and service. Ask for Cora the manager....she is great. We will be back. Dante and Cynthia.

Went there last night for dinner. Arrived at 5:30. Waited over 1 hour for food. My partner ordered chicken parm which was lukewarm and tasteless. I had butternut gnocchi and they were fine. All in all was not impressed and will not return

Our family had dinner here on February 17th and even as first time visitors it became apparent early into the evening that something was off. We came to find out that earlier that day their pizza oven had malfunctioned, and shortly before dinner their cook and a server were absent for legitimate reasons. The result was significantly fewer menu options, delayed meals and in a few cases quality that I m assuming was below their typical standards. Still, we had an enjoyable meal and I m confident when we return on a typical night it will be a great experience. What really stood out for me though was the service. Despite what would have been a very stressful night for her, the manager served our large party with a fantastic attitude. She did everything she could to make the evening enjoyable for us and genuinely cared about our experience. For this reason I definitely look forward to giving this establishment another chance and given the circumstances I hope anyone dining here last night can have a little bit of compassion for the situation.

Tried this place for the first time last night. I understand the place was busy, their pizza oven was broken, and they looked like they did not have enough waitresses to accommodate everyone. My issues were the following.. * we sat there for 45 minutes without a refill on empty drinks. *we were not spoken to for 45 minutes after we placed our order. A quick apology or explanation as to why things were taking so long or checking if we needed a refill would have been appreciated but no one followed up in between. *when our food arrived almost an hour later it was under seasoned, and my pasta was sitting in a large amount of water from the pasta being not drained fully. I was a little disappointed considering the price point, the time waited to get our food, and the lack of refills. * the atmosphere was cold and uninviting. We ended up going to get our dessert at McDonalds afterwards because it was just easier. I don t think we will be back anytime soon.

We had an issue with our Uber eats order and the general manager was so lovely and went above and beyond to correct it. Our whole family enjoyed their food. And love that they have so many vegan and gluten free options!

Service was excellent but the food was just okay. I found it to be very pricey for the size of the servings. I would of liked bread or a side salad as an option with my meal. I ordered the garlic cheese bread and my pasta dish and found I was still kinda hungry afterwards. Apparently supposed to be popular for their pizza but my kids didn t like it at all. Unfortunately I don t think I would go back. Vegetarian options: Good choice of options for vegetarians and gluten free meals

Food is delicious and Dan was a fantastic waiter. It was mid week and early evening, so quiet but still very nice. Dan made great recommendations, advised us of the chef s ability to modify recipes to meet dietary needs and omit any ingredients that we didn t like! Portions were good everyone (5 of us)were all very pleased with our dishes. Parking lot is a bit of a challenge(located on the other side of A&W) But found it obviously! Definitely, looking to return very soon.

I had a wonderful experience at ail Fornello. My dish the gnocchi Asiago was delicious. My only criticism is for the price of the dish it would have been nice to have complimentary bread or rolls.

Very cozy, comfy, warm, welcoming spacious atmosphere The staff are great as we were ushered to our seats. This locations has some delicious Niagara tailored treats: like the Florentine pizza for example. They also have some excellent mock-tails. The food is hands down delicious, and is great value.will definitely visit again. Great spot for a dinner date. Lots of parking, and just off the QEW, so it is easy to get to

We have dinner here more often than we should! Personal favourites are the gnocchi, Casareccia Cacio E Pepe, and diavola pizza. Service is always friendly and food is top notch. They also have a good sized patio for outdoor dining.

Lovely happy hour menu at Il Fornello in St Catharines. Pizza with fresh Figs was as good as it sounds. We got great service from our waiter Mike and the delicious cocktail #Thyme in a Bottle made with raspberries was an unexpected treat.

The worst taste! First visit to the place, expecting good taste of Italian dishes. Ordered piccata and was shocked with bad oil taste and smell very clear. The veal was bad quality. Though the waitress was good and the place looked clean and nice but unfortunately bad experience with food

I had Diavalo pizza for lunch which was excellent, and for people like me who enjoy their pizza with a nice kick, this meal definitely hit the spot. However, the main reason I feel compelled to write a review is the exceptional service by Bailey who takes a very genuinely caring and thorough approach to serving her customers. She is an A+ server. Add this to the excellent food and reasonable pricing, I highly recommend Il Fornellos St Catharines.

Excellent experience! Our group had a great time. Our server, Hailey, was lovely. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I normally do the pizza but got the vegan pistachio spaghetti....it was delish!! Lots of great vegan options.

We (group of 6) celebrated a friend when we visited on a Thursday night. We were served by Hailey who was fantastic with our picky group with different dietary needs. Cora even made our friend s night and sent her home with a brownie!

Love Il Fornello! Tonight we tried the Pesto Shishito Fries and I almost passed out. Thanks to Hailey for her amazing suggestions and service!

I have been to Il Fornello across the GTA and loved for years but this location in St. Catharines was terrible. Bruschetta was burnt, pasta was overcooked and pizza was undercooked. The atmosphere wasn t warm, welcoming and clean like other locations.

Second time at this location as we like the food especially the pizza and apps. The food is excellent, reasonable priced with generous portions. Our server (Alex) was friendly and provided great service. We will be back! Parking: Ample free parking close to Il Fornello restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended by a local resident of Niagara on the Lake. We LOVED it ! Reasonable prices, friendly staff, fast service. Oh and good food. 2 orders of fettuccine alfredo . One with chicken, one with shrimp. Food : 5/5

We arrived with a party of 6 and we got our food very quickly. Our server was Cora and she was amazing, always checking in on us and asking if there was anything that we needed. The food was exemplary and the chocolate brownie cheesecake was amazing. I definitely will be returning for more delicious dinners!

Went there for a dinner, food was delicious. But the kitchen messed up with the order, ordered were missing items. However, our server Courtney were handled it right away and the manager came to took care. Both of them were made the situation right and definitely deserved a five star review. Good job

As an avid cook, going out can often fall flat to hopes and expectation. With that said, I had the most phenomenal pasta dish here. Il Fornellos menu varies from location to location, but always keeps a handful of staples (Looking at you, Avocado Caesar) Im deeply grateful to whomever curated the menu for this location. The pistachio spaghetti is completely out of this world good - To the length that I dont even want to attempt to make it at home, Ill just leave it to the professionals. I always recommend Il Fornello when someone is requesting plant based/vegan menu options. Ill ensure to isolate St Catts in that recommendation. When I went, the service was also amazing. Cheers to the management, truly. Vegetarian options: FANTASTIC

The Gnocchi is an absolute must. Kids loved their pasta. The manager Cora was very helpful and replaced our wobbly table. Friendly service, great atmosphere and good quality food. Been here a few times and the food has been consistently delicious.

Amazing place! This was my first time here and I loved everything about the atmosphere. Cora, the manager served us, and she was very kind and personable.The environment was quiet, with county music (bonus in my books) with an Industrial aesthetic. Very fair prices, for amazing food. I will definitely be coming back!

First time here. Clearly understaffed. Took 20 minutes to be served. Food was underwhelming. Small appetizer of calamari. Pizza was lukewarm. We will not be back. Server was nice, but apologetic a number of times. Clearly in a bit of a muddle.

We dined last night at Il Fornello for the second time, and we loved it even more than the first time! I am gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian, and I was impressed with the menu layout, and how clear options were for me. There was a lot for me to choose from! Our server, Caroline, was fantastic! What a delightful, efficient and knowledgeable server! Wed go back just to sit in her section again! We had delicious pizza and pasta, lovely mocktails, and a wonderful chocolate torte for dessert. I highly recommend this place, especially for those with dietary restrictions like myself. Leave room for the chocolate torte! Definitely worth it.

LOVED the vegan options! Finally, an Italian restaurant that I can eat at! Well be back! Not keen on the industrial look- too cold and un-romantic for me. Our server, Caroline, made it a very pleasant experience.

Had lunch with a friend today (Tuesday). I had one of the Tuesday pasta specials (Penne a la vodka) with smoked chicken added and an espresso afterwards. The pasta was al dente and the sauce and chicken were very tasty. The service we received from Bailey was attentive and very pleasant. The seating was comfortable - we got a corner table near the back of the restaurant so it wasnt noisy at all.

Very personable service from Emily and so family friendly. Also excellent from an accessibility perspective. Highly recommend this location. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spaces werent obvious (but lots of space in the lot) Curb cut locations could be improved but the restaurant itself was very accessible.

Cora and Caroline helped provide an excellent dining experience. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a restaurant with an excellent atmosphere and well trained staff. I had a vegan pizza and my wife enjoyed her lamb shank. Will be back!

2 of us went for lunch at around 12 and there was one other table. Appetizers came pretty quick and were ok. Mains took forever and when they arrived the pizza was almost raw and my tortilini pasta dish was soup. We sent the pizza back and didnt want another one because we had waited so long for it. The server was very pleasant and friendly. We paid by cash but the manager who was at the bar enjoying her glass of wine couldnt open the safe so we had to wait for her to run to another business to get change. Very disappointing wont be back.

I go for lunch here once or twice a week. The food is very good!! I ve had many things on the menu and have always been pleased. The staff is always so nice, and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is always good. I highly recommended trying this restaurant. Recently in someone else s review they mentioned a manager sitting enjoying her wine and couldn t open the safe etc. no. I m a customer who was enjoying my lunch and wine. I was there that day and everyone was very kind to those folks. Hope they come back and try again. I m sure the restaurant will go above and beyond to accommodate their requests.

Went here for a friends birthday. Servers were great. The fried bocconcini was delicious, arancini was underwhelming. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, it was ok, but I wouldn t get it again. Was something I could easily make at home and taste maybe even better. My husband ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and we were really disappointed with the portion he received. Looking around at all our friends pasta dishes it seemed like he received nothing, especially when you re paying 20 dollars for pasta with no protein :( our friends had to offer him some of their pizzas and I gave him some of my dish aswell so he wasn t hungry. Overall, it was ok. I wouldn t return on my own. I felt kind of disappointed in the quality for the price we paid. Wine, service, and atmosphere was good tho!

Excellent meals are found here. The meatballs are to die for. The vegan pastas are amazing and up to Michelin star standard. I will surly return. The venue is very cosy and my waiter is awesome . Knows when to appear and disappear. In all, great meal experience. Parking: Very easy to locate

I had scrumptious food. I ate gnocchi with Asiago. I can say the best gnocchi I had in Niagara. Vegetarian options: We had Caesar salad, vegan calamari and rice ball. It was so delicious.

Once again we had an incredible dining experience. Ambiance they create is perfect starting with an inviting greeting from Cora and John when we walked in. Great menu choices. Only problem is we cant decide. We try something different every time with the exception of the homemade gnocchis. We are addicted. Cora made us feel genuinely welcome, very personalized service, makes you feel at home. If it were polite, I think we would of licked the plate off the chocolate torte. Caramel sauce is amazing. We look forward to going back. Thinking great Christmas gift too for my friends to enjoy a wonderful dining experience like we have.

We had the arugula and prosciutto pizza as well as the diavlo pizza, it was fantastic! Our waitress Emily was so personable and lovely we will be back for sure. St. Catharines, let s make sure to keep business booming for this new restaurant in our city. We need more great places to eat not just repeats of what we already have.

Im not a fan of not having uniforms, this is not a pub. Its pricey food. Everything else was good Thank you xo Parking: Difficult to get into parking area. Really confusing, but at least we know foe next time.

Two of the meals looked and were very different

While the restaurant has a good atmosphere, the lamb shank I ordered was woefully underseasoned (a greivance shared by several members of our party). The portion sizes were good but we were not very excited to finish our plates. Service was friendly but incredibly slow.

Ordered through Skip. This was the first time trying il Forno and I was looking forward to it. The food arrived piping hot and unfortunately that was the only positive. I ordered their chicken parmigiana. The chicken was black on the bottom and very dry. The pasta was over cooked, almost mush. Nothing had any flavour. Just bland.

It is a beautiful restaurant, he has experienced food, it is clean, and his treatment is very nice

Chicken Parmesan was burnt around the edges. Vegan pasta had minimal sauce and seemed less desirable than getting take out across the street at Farmboy for a fraction of the cost
