Honestly, I had this restaurant almost 5 years ago, but I still can t get it. Taste out of my mind and I m craving to go back. The food was delicious and great option for vegetarians as well. I personally loved the chimichanga. My friend very much enjoyed the cactus salad and I really need to go back.! Vegetarian options: Chimichanga, cactus salad, cauliflower tacos, vegan chorizo, Tres leches cake, etc.

We ordered take out yesterday 11/5. The quality was atrocious. Fajitas tasteless and watery. Burritos were stuck to the wrapping leaving the paper liner stuck to the wrap. $150 for two people totally wasted.

By far the best Mexican food I ve had in Niagara Region. I ordered through Uber Eats and the food arrived perfectly packaged and warm! My husband who is a picky eater loved it too! Excellent all around.,. Probably the best spot I have been to for a birthday celebration. They play on the loudspeaker Mexican happy birthday time to everybody in the party gets a sombrero the staff claps, and you get a dessert with a sparkler, an amazing experience.

Amazing!!! Just went here for the first time and could not say enough good things! The staff were super friendly from the second we walked in the door, going above and beyond. Vegan options were outstanding! Lots of choices and they even made the chimichangas vegan for me! The vegan chorizo is delicious and they were super generous with the vegan cheese, none of that skimpy stuff a lot of other restaurants do! Also very accommodating for my husband who cannot eat gluten, he loved the birria tacos! Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back! EXCELLENT service and staff feels like I m going to someone s house to eat a delish Mexican meal. Tried something different than my usual order of fajitas. Had Birria tacos with blue corn tortilla. It was FANTASTIC and so so fresh. Can t wait to come back! Also Margaritas are toppp notch tried the mango one instead of original lime and it tasted FRESH!!

Went here with my dad for a drink and some churros as well as their cheesecake. The service was great, and rather quick. The food was amazing and the drink was amazing! I had a frozen strawberry margherita and I know Ill be back for that and more of their food soon!! I definitely recommend this amazing restaurant.

So thankful that they have a full vegan menu! Ordered the vegan chori queso and the vegan chorizo tacos. The rice and beans that came with the tacos was some of the best rice and beans I have had in my lifeeeee. I wanted more of it! The tacos were good although I wasnt a fan of the sauce on them. However the vegan chori queso was amazinnnnggg. Overall, 100% recommend. We also took a vegan carrot cake slice to go. Vegetarian options: Amazing vegan options! Full vegan menu!

We tried the vegan enchiladas and fondue. Both were really good. Our waitress was pleasant and made sure everything was good. Definitely popping back here soon to try more of their vegan options..

Bought a car locally and needed to kill an hour until it was ready. Wandered into this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant! I love Mexican food and did not know this place was here. Had a great meal of enchiladas and will return next time I am in town! Highly recommended!

Yes to gluten free options

This is the last time I am trusting reviews on Google. Cold, Oily and stale taste. Even the soup was not good. And ppl from India who gave five star reviews, like seriously . Pls pls stop this nicety crap in your reviews. Any mediocre dhaba there would make better food than this. The atmosphere of the place is cheerful and our waiter was good (only reason for leaving tip).

Very bad service today, I had the opportunity to visit this place on another occasion and it was good, so I wanted to go back and bring my family so they could see it, I had a reservation at 3 pm but I had to call 2 hours before to move it to 3:30 pm and they told me there was no problem, when I arrived at the restaurant they had not organized any tables, only until I arrived and asked for a table for 7 for a reservation, they put 2 tables together without asking me if the location seemed right to me, I did not agree with this, I think they should have told me from the beginning that I should call that this was going to be the problem because of the last minute time change, we decided to try to stay but the waitresses ignored us the whole time, it was as if we were not there, we made the complaint and they responded with terrible service, I had never been treated so badly and so ignored, it was a shame because in the face of this we preferred to leave, it was horrible, this had been a surprise for me niece for her birthday,

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was almost no one on the place. We waited thirty minutes as place filled up and saw folks that came after us being served while we waited with menus at the table. Ended up leaving without ordering.Wont go back. Nit worth the aggravation

Came in to dine for dinner tonight. This was our absolute favourite Mexican restaurant in the region. It was a full house tonight both n the patio and inside. We knew coming in there would be a longer wait than usual most likely for food and we weren t in a rush, so we re ok with that. The server took quite some time to come to our table to take our drink order. I noticed many other tables waiting too, looking around, trying to track down their server etc so we continued to patiently wait. Our drink orders were taken and we waited quite some time for them to arrive. When they arrived one of the drinks wasn t what my partner ordered but wasn t given any other option. I would ve appreciated the server coming back and asking if she wanted a different drink rather than just giving an alternative. The server took our food order and asked if we wanted chips and salsa. No chips and salsa arrived. We sat and waited and waited and waited. Finally our food arrived. Before sitting my plate in front of me the server told me my order wasn t as I had ordered. I was annoyed by this point and said after waiting an hour I would ve really appreciated being served what I ordered. She was frustrated and started a long wind explanation stating she was really swamped and was trying her best. I understand that however when you pick up my Plate of food from the kitchen and you know it s not correct, why are you serving it me??? She was angry but took the plate back and came out with a fresh plate. I ve ordered the chicken suzia at least 5 times here. When I ask for it not spicy and with grilled chicken it s always delivered that way and is absolutely delicious! Tonight it was so spicy I couldn t eat it. When we complained I was met with so many excuses and not one offer to make it right. I simply Asked for the bill at this point as I m irritated, I m hungry and I ve now been sitting here for an hour and 15 mins. A different person comes along, charges me for everything $76. Absolutely wild. Never again and so sad. Honestly- if you re extremely busy so the point you cannot provide even BASIC customer service just say so when we come in and ask to be seated to save everyone a lot of grief. We would ve appreciated the honestly and we wouldn t have sat down!

Last night was an unfortunate visit. We were sat in a timely manner, which was about the last good service moment we had. Our waters came out about 10 minutes after sitting, at which point our server took our drink order. When our drinks came in, our server left for about another 10 minutes. We put our food order in, still waiting for the chips and salsa (delicious by the way) When ONE of the 3 people who served us finally came back around, we asked for our chips and salsa . 10 minutes later we asked another server for our chips and salsa and he said we were going to bring them out with your appetizer but we ll get it out now which was great! Chips and salsa showed up and we got to munch and talk. Our queso fundido showed up about 15 seconds before our entrees arrived which made for quite the full table. Unfortunately, our food was subpar for what we ve experienced before. Rice and beans were stone cold, tacos were lukewarm, but unfortunately we never had a server come back to ask us how our food was until we were done. Taste was great, but overshadowed by it being cold. When I finished my food, our original server came by to clear my plate and our appetizer dish while my wife finished her meal. 10 minutes later, we asked another server for a box and the bill so we could get going. 30!!!! minutes later our original server showed up with a bill and no box. We paid and left fairly upset by the service we experienced. It s unfortunate because when we came last they were understaffed and the service was worlds better then this visit. Unfortunately, we don t think we will be doing the hour drive again to visit due to this experience. Dietary restrictions: Willing to configure to any restrictions if possible. Parking: Smaller parking lot, not a lot of area parking for overflow. Kid-friendliness: Kids all over the restaurant, decent selections for everyone. Wheelchair accessibility: Patio is ground level

Stopped in for Sunday lunch, and were very glad we did! The shrimp tacos are AMAZING! The Birria taco and burrito are AMAZING! The kids menu was not overcrowded with too many options. Our youngests head starts to spin in he has to choose from more than a few selections. Drinks for the table were brought out quickly and the food was right behind. The rice and beans are unlike anything Ive had from our local restaurants. If we lived closer, we would be regulars!

A unique and intimate Mexican restaurant in St Catherine s! We had Birria tacos and carne asada - it was honestly some of the best we ve tasted in a while. Our server Armando was very friendly, attentive and professional. Many photo ops, cute decor and good vibes! Love!

Ive posted about this restaurant before and I just cant say enough good things about them! It is the most amazing Mexican food that I have found locally and all at a really fair price. I could eat there every day it is so good. Fantastic staff and very knowledgeable about their menu too!

I went here with a bunch a friends for a birthday and it was an amazing experience. The service was fast and very friendly and our server Armando made the experience fantastic, he constantly checked up on us and made sure we were having a good time. Will for sure be coming back again

Extraordinary taste

July2024: sadly have to drop 5-star to 4-star! Waitress was on a Karen-like tear when we discussed the bill. Menu says $3 for extra meat on nachos, she insisted $6.90 was right and the staff that charged us $3 in the past 4 occasions were dead wrong. Also had a warm beer, and when beer #2 came along and was cold she explained she should have run in thru the lines longer for the 1st beer. No apology or partial refund. Resulted in zero tip, and (sadly) we wont be here anywhere near as often. The food is A+, but not enough to pull me back in ....

Well, we came here twice in 2 days, so that says a lot. Vegan chimichangas yes! I can eat cheese, so I just subbed it and it was chef s kiss! The person taking our order was very calm and cool even though they were closing in a few minutes. I love how you get a special price with cash and takeout, so definitely plan for that! The entire vibe of the restaurant was awesome, super friendly and upbeat, I only wish that they had more eggless dessert options and that the vegan ceviche was in stock (must be popular then!) I ll definitely be visiting here again. The photos don t do justice at all, the food is really good! Oh, and the portions are hefty!

This place is a hidden gem. Its 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls but worth the drive! Great food options, staff was very helpful and atmosphere is very lively. Tacos were to die for, and so were dessert options.

Ordinary Fare If youre looking for standard Mexican cuisine, youll find it here, but dont expect much in the way of authenticity. We ordered the CHILE & AGAVE PARTY for two, which was more than enough food, but unfortunately, everything tasted quite similar, as if we were eating variations of nachos throughout the meal. My wife ordered a peach sangria, but it was disappointing there was barely any hint of wine, making it feel more like a flavored juice than a proper sangria.

They re birria is not better than Mexican Taco Zone. The food is very good here, but they flex the birra saying its the best birra in Niagara . This is false the consomè was too salty and didn t have much other flavour. This is better than some other latina food places in the area, but Mexico Taco Zone is 100% better and probably about 3$ cheaper. Whoever judged this competition needs to seriously reevaluate.

Very optimistic and excited to come however as soon as we got there our server wasn t very kind. She didn t bring water out for 15 mins and it was hot and half filled, water was never filled. 15 mins later we got chips and salsa given and it felt like it came out of a freezer. 15 more mins pass and we get our food, the rice and beans were freezing and our taco meat was chewy and rubbery. Ate one bite and we left the whole plate. Definitely wouldn t recommend coming. Waste of money.

My partner loves this place and was so excited to take me. We drive in from Toronto so enjoy. The staff were incredible, so friendly and welcoming!! The atmosphere is beautiful we loved each little nooo and cranny! Only reason we said 4/5 for atmosphere was the extreme amount of mosquitos. I was eaten alive it made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. The food was good. I had carne asada and my partner the fried cauliflower tacos. Everything tasted delicious. Though I felt rice portions were very small. Also was missing pico de Gallo on the carne asada so it was a bit dry and spicy for my preference. Overall enjoyable experience though.

Prefacing this review off with two things. We did not order any alcohol. I am not a purveyor of Mexican cuisine often. Those being said this place is a must avoid unless you genuinely plan on just getting drunk. The food is mildly flavored at best, and in our case, downright cold, stale, congealed and re-heated at worst. To start off, the place is barely big enough to house the amount of tables it does have, the entry way is completely cramped and you almost bump into at least 20 staff on your way to the table, my mother and I were sat at the tiniest of tables, barely able to fit BOTH our plates vertically aligned, width wise we resorted to putting our drinks, the desert menu and our belongings on the nearby shelf which is quite a telling start for a 1-1 dinner. The ceiling was filthy as well as the shelf we were beside and the stuff on the shelf was collecting dust. The art work was fantastic across the back wall, theres effort here, but it still spells someones living room renovated to hold a few more people rather than a restaurant that can handle the volume it does. We were served complimentary water, which was quickly shown to be lukewarm and metallic tap water which is a stark contrast seeing as the Mexican Cokes we ordered were $5 a bottle themselves. When I later asked for ice, i was given a hot glass with ice cubes already melting in it to put my drink in so.. kind of defeated the point of that. The chips we were provided were stale and barely warm, both batches we received actually were stale, which is a shame cause they were salted well, and the 1-2 chips that WERE fresh actually tasted great but stale, gross chips coupled with the watery salsa provided was a 2/5 at BEST. Our appetizer was the Chorizoqueso which came out served on a small sizzling plater with a constantly burning butane torch underneath. The cheese was 99% mozzarella and so whenever the cheese was pulled away from the plate, it instantly turned into gel, congealed snot that you can lay bricks with. The chorizo part of it tasted excellent however. While I see the necessity for the butane torch, it reeks of butane the entire appetizer. The plates that were provided to myself had dust/dirt on it, as well as my napkins too. Another thing, the appetizer listed as your choice of chips or corn tortillas. We were not asked EITHER of them, we were just left with the chips we were given for the salsa they gave for free, so fix that on your menu cause thats just false advertising. The main entree was Carne Asada Tacos for myself, and my mother got Tropic Shrimp Tacos herself. Each dish came with a side of refried beans as well as Mexican rice. Again, I will preface this by saying that I am not the biggest bean person, however the beans looked like legit concreate smeared across the plate and I could probably hold my plate upside down and theyd stick. The rice was very bland and tastes exactly like Uncle Bens microwaved rice, so either it was old rice, bland rice, or microwaved rice, regardless it was a waste of a side. Both of us avoided the beans and only ate 1-2 forkfuls of the rice they provided. The freshest part of the tacos were the tortillas as they tasted delicious. The Shrimp was battered and fried to perfection on the Shrimp Tacos as well, that is as far as the compliments go. The Carne Asada tacos came with a congealed slab of fake, grocery store Marble Cheese and cold, dry Carne Asada, which is a shame as real Carne Asada is delicious. If youre going to get either of these, stick with the shrimps, but youre paying basically 20$ for 3 medium size tacos (medium is stretching it) at best. You can spend that money elsewhere, probably on liquor. We avoided desert as this ran us 75$ for sub-par food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you wanted to get drunk with a few friends and go somewhere else to eat down the street, youd get more bang for your buck and probably have more fun. The staff were genuinely fantastic, our waitress being one of them. The manager barely checked in on anyone. Parking: Like, 10 cars spaces available, had to park a block over and walk. Youre better off ordering out.

Authentic Mexican restaurant! Different tasting tacos (in a good way). Their mango margarita was delicious too! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. The service was slow on the patio but a great experience overall.

GREAT Mexican food in St Catherines

Food is good, we said no appetizers, just entrees. The server proceeded to ask if we want guac with the chips & salsa that usually come out complementary, we said yes. Unknowingly that it would be a $13 charge. As well as the server asking us if we would like to add cheese to our tacos, not informing us of the extra charge. Food was good but if you offer extra items, let your customers know of the extra charges.

We had takeout from Chile & Agave and it was outstanding! One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Niagara Region! The food was so good, very fresh and far exceeded our expectations!

Friendly enough servers but lacking either training or experience. ie no plates with appetizers not bringing requested or offered items rushing the bill. Lively place, cool patio. Food doesnt knock your socks off but, its good and its not too pricey. Although the salsa is delicious Parking: Have a free parking lot but it fills up quickly.

Armando was the best

Came here on a Wednesday. I m thoroughly impressed from the beautifully seasoned carne asada to the stringy, sticky cheese. Comfortable outdoor seating area with a positive atmosphere, disappointed in the small glasses of water they give to you without any pitchers. It felt like every time I took a sip I d be scouting the nearest waiter for a refill. Date was a bit shy! (P.S the churros DO contain egg ingredients) 4/5 Stars.

Hot queso appetizer was excellent! The tacos and soups were also very good. However their horchata was extremely watered down and their side of beans were flavourless. Needed more salt. Still a decent experience and the vibe was awesome. Great decorations!

Ive had Mexican food from dozens of restaurants from both Canada and internationally. This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had, and its not even close. It was so bland and had zero flavour. I was actually shocked. How do people actually hype this place up? Im hoping something went wrong in the kitchen and this isnt the normal slop they serve. The ground beef had no seasoning, and I seriously mean none, just cooked beef with nothing on it. I could get the whitest guy in the world to make ground beef with more flavour. Wife had some chicken dishes that I tried with the exact same result. Not even joking, Id rather have Old El Paso tacos from a kit. But hey, maybe the churros arent bad, how can you mess up a sugary treat right? Well... they figured it out. Churros with absolutely no sweetness, just fried dough, with squeeze bottle ice cream caramel syrup on the side. Oh, also a side of guac was $5 for about 2oz. What a deal. And can you guess the spice/flavour content of the guac? If you guessed 0% you win (or lose, I guess). Same goes for their nachos and salsa for $8. I dont know what else to say. Ordered $70 worth of food and may have been the worst meal Ive had in a long time. We ended up throwing more than half the food out. I actually question the palate and mental faculties of anybody who gives this place more than one star and gives them repeat business. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Order your Mexican from ANYWHERE else. Absolute garbage.

I was just eating here with my family - we had Armando serving us and he was excellent! He regularly checked in on us, the food came out quickly, and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was excellent, the music matched the atmosphere and the decorations were nice. Easily my favourite Mexican restaurant I ve ever been to and will definitely look forward to having Armando as our server again!

Such an excellent night out with my besties to celebrate a birthday! The birthday girl, who wishes she lived in Mexico, her favourite vacation destination, said Well since I am not in Mexico this restaurant is the next best thing!! From the decor, to the margaritas, the delicious food and our EXCELLENT server, MADISON all 5 stars!!

Ordered the chicken fajitas. Received unseasoned and very slightly charred peppers, onions and one mushroom slice. The chicken seemed microwaved. The tortillas tasted like plastic. Adding cheese, which wasnt included in the price of the meal, didn t even help make the fajitas enjoyable. What a huge waste of money.

At time it got quite loud with the restaurant entirely packed but the service and food were amazing.

This place was awesome. The food was great, I ordered nachos and beware...... itll feed 2 people. The people there were friendly and always greeted you with a smile. Id recommend going early because it fills up fast. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience. Parking: Its a small lot so if you come later in the day you might need to park across the street.

Edit. I had the chance to dine in. I was so disappointed, I ordered a burrito bowl asking if I could get lettuce instead of the rice. They of course said yes. However when I my bowl, it was just thw toppings. They did remove the rice, but they didnt add any lettuce. Something so simple, I wont be going here again. Amazing food. It is so delicious. Service is great. The staff are fantastic. I would try here if you havent.
