**5 Stars - A Hidden Gem!** I had the pleasure of trying the breakfast fish cakes with over-easy eggs, fried potatoes with bacon and onions, and toast—and wow, I am absolutely blown away. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, which made no sense considering how fantastic the food was. This was hands-down the best breakfast I’ve had in the downtown core. The fried potatoes were the star of the show. I know it’s a simple dish, but they were absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, tender and fully cooked on the inside. I couldn’t stop eating them! The fish cakes were delicious as well, and the over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Now, the toast… I don’t know what kind of magic is happening back in the kitchen, but it was something special. The toast was like the gold at the end of my breakfast rainbow. Honestly, it was so good, I’m convinced there must be a leprechaun working their toast-making magic in the back! This place is a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be back. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour and stop by—you won’t be disappointed!
I ordered the Pb&j burger, substituted brussel sprout salad. There was 4 brussel sprouts on my arugula Ceasar salad. A bit deceiving to advertise brussel sprout Ceasar salad. It was tasty none the less. Burger was 10/10. Not dry. Every bite was a sweet and salty sensation. Perfectly balanced. Atmosphere and service were average.
Stopped in for supper while at the pedestrian mall. Sat on the patio, unfortunate that Duckworth st doesn’t get closed like Water st does, but it was still a nice experience. Food was fantastic and the service was great. Definitely recommend and will return!
I was really looking to the PBJ burger with an upgrade to garlic parm fries and was unfortunately very disappointed. The burger was dry. The fries were soggy. I mentioned the soggy fries to our wonderful server, and she insisted on bringing us new orders. The new orders were still soggy, just a bit darker (I just said thanks) Also shared Mac n cheese as an appetizer. It was OK. Nice and creamy but not cheesy enough, and the pasta was a bit too al dente Great ambiance inside, very nice place!
Bernard Stanley Gastropub nails it with their bacon cheeseburger and bacon mac and cheese. The burger is juicy, packed with crispy bacon and melty cheese. The mac and cheese is creamy and loaded with bacon bits. Plus, the staff is friendly and fast. A perfect spot for comfort food!
Excellent food quality, flavor, and portion sizes! We were so impressed - everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The service was also excellent from Hailey! We got 2 burgers (and they accommodated my lettuce bun for no charge), the cod bites, and the UNREAL chowder!
The reservation we made wasn't recorded but they got us a table. Table was by a beam so we moved to another one which was much better. We ordered 3 appetizers and a main each. The apps were wonton nachos, bacon wrapped Buffalo chicken stuffed jalapeño poppers, and spicy shrimp. The food looked amazing and tasted amazing but the portions were a little underwhelming, especially the shrimp. 6 shrimp with sauce for $18 seems a little steep but, as I said, the flavor was fantastic. The apps took long to come out as the had originally burned our nachos and the ones we received seem to be overcooked still. It also had a lot of pulled pork and toppings under the wontons so it was basically half and half toppings to wontons. We both ordered burgers, i got the Pierogi burger and she got the Geraldine Hot Honey Southern Fried Chicken burger. They both cane with fries and spicy ketchup which was awesome, really enjoyed the spicy ketchup. My Pierogi burger was pretty good, burger patty was a little overcooked but still juicy and well seasoned. Her burger was a little less impressive. It came with coleslaw which was large chunks of cabbage which had a bitter taste. The batter on the chicken wasn't that good either but the sauce was the best part, she didn't even finish half of it due to the coleslaw tasting so bad. Hers meal was 24 and mine was 23. Overall, the food was fairly good but the apps pricing was a turn off. Don't think we'll be returning but it is worth a try.
Huge portions, incredible food. If you are dining with two people split a burger - they are too much for a single meal. Update 2024 - Stopped in with a co-worker in September and had the best service from all of the staff. Food and drinks are still top notch!
Great fish cake breakfast. Decent prices. Very friendly staff.
Maybe the best burger Ive ever had ....
Good food, good vibes
We just experienced the best meal from our entire trip here !!! Amazing food. Absolutely delicious !! Highly recommend.
Delicious! Worth the cost by a landslide. Great place for lunch. Try the cod bites!
I had to try the pb&j burger. It didnt disappoint. The desserts were heavenly too. Glad Im about to do a walking tour of St Johns Food
Mac and cheese is deadly and the service is amazing, definitely recommend.
I ordered the mozzarella sticks for appetizers and the Mac and cheese for main dish. The mozzarella sticks were delicious and spicy. The Mac and cheese was the best restaurant mac and cheese I ve ever had. Our waitress (Emma) was fantastic and super friendly. Will definitely go back
Great place for a pint and dinner.
Have been trying fish and chips all over St. Johns. This one was pretty good, maybe a little expensive for what you get, but fresh and tasty. Hostess and server were friendly, service was quick, tables were clean. Not super busy when we were there, an outside patio is also available.
The Bernard burger was fantastic! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a big burger in town!
Food is unreal here, been in St. John s for a week now and this has easily been the best spot for food. I d recommend their pb&j burger as well the clam chowder. Also had an amazing spicy ceaser here with proper garnishes. Food : 5/5
5 stars across the board for this place! The seafood chowder was maybe 1 of the top 5 chowders Ive ever had. And being a life long New Englander, chowders are my favorite, I get them all the time and I always prefer a clam to a seafood chowder. Not this time, this was incredible. So much fish and so much variety but none of it was lost in the entirety of it. The cod sandwich special was also fantastic, with the garlic parmesan fries. Add your choice of Quidi Vidi and it topped it all off nicely. Also, having a Quidi Vidi with a burger or sandwich made the beer the same price as a pop(soda). The staff worked hard to keep the place rolling and our waitress was excellent. Parking is easy after 6 and Id love to go again if Im ever in St Johns again...
Great tasting food and excellent service. A little on the expensive side though.
Every visit back home, I always make a stop at BSG. Everything Ive ever ordered here has been solid and flavorful. The staff is warm and inviting with an incredibly cozy atmosphere.
Great place to stop and get a poutine!
Awesome burgers
The PB&J burger and fish and chips were delicious and our servers were wonderful. Cool layout and atmosphere, too
This place always brings great food to the table. The staff are also very friendly. This is a semi-frequent place for me to eat.
The food was very good, prices were good too, service was great. I forgot my cap after my visit and they are even shipping it back to me!
If you love burgers this is the place to go! The burgers are unreal good!
This is a great place to eat. The waiters are all charming and fun to talk to, the menu is filled with excellent food which comes in giant servings. I had a salad with a steak on it. I was imagining a few shrivelly bits of chopped up steak on top but it was a full New York strip (I think). It was the best steak I ever had and the salad just made it better.
Quite possibly the best burgers in town.
Food is good. Reasonable prices.
Great food. Comfortable pub style atmosphere.
Battle Burger was great but fries left a little to desire. Over cooked and clumped together.
Tried so hard to like this restaurant but my last visit was so bad that I will never be back. Went with a party of 5 and ordered 2 appetizers between us and then 5 main dishes. We were there for 2.5 hours. Firstly, I ordered the Feta stuffed salmon with risotto. The risotto came out in a dome shape on my plate. It was very dry, hard, and still raw. I know it was lemon risotto but it was SO acidic, like they had just poured bottled lemon juice on it. I ve never sent a dish back in my life but I had to as it was inedible. I asked for a different dish which they then brought out to me in a TO GO BAG! This was over an hour and a half since being seated. After placing the bag in front of me (I was almost too stunned to speak) The sever then asked if I wanted it to go, and I said no I did not ask for it to go. They then went and put it on a plate and I finally got to eat. We then all ordered dessert, and about 15-20 mins later the waiter came back and said there was a miscommunication with the kitchen and the desserts were *just* put in. We said cancel them we have somewhere to be and can t wait any longer. We were there from 7-9:30 pm. I don t know if it was just a bad night or what, but it was the worst dining experience of my life. One of the desserts were cooked by the time the bill came so they gave us one free dessert to share .lol.
Very good experience overall. Perfect burger gastro bar. Excellent, home made, piping hot and well seasoned onion rings accompanied by a selection of local bears. Had the Stanley for a main dish and was not disappointed. Fresh, juicy, seasoned to perfection greasy goodness. My kettle chips were somewhat burned but for me this adds to the slightly worn charm of the place. Place to be for junk food lovers.
Best burgers and best Mac and cheese ever. Jakob was our server and he did a fantastic job!
The GM was very nice.
Great brunch and awesome service. Girl that served us was witty and sweet.
Quite honestly the best meal I had while I was in Saint Johns. This pork belly dish was the best bang for your buck. It was cooked with such quality. It melted in your mouth and was so tender. I could not believe how affordable this dish was.
Visited twice. Once for dinner (amazing food & service), and again this week around 3pm, and again...it was such a great experience. Server was phenomenal, recommended a great pint. Stanley burger was amazing! Highly recommend!
Great food and great staff!!
Food is always great. Love their burgers but the service lately is so slow. Waited over 1 hour tonight for food at downtown location with reservation.
Too loud couldnt hear
Cant just order a beer. Need to order food with it fyi. I was basically ordered to buy food under the direction of the owners. Overpriced food, I left after paying for my 15 dollar draft.
Best burgers in town. Great variety too! Pork wonton nachos are a great appetizer selection. But then again, you cant miss here with the grub.
Wow. What a great spot . Will definitely be going back
If you wanna eat, dont go here!! Waited over 2 hours for breakfast. Server (who was also the manager on duty) said our food got burnt and some sort of kitchen trouble, although everyone else was getting their food. Server kept saying 5 more mins. Well that turned into hours and a half. When we did get our food it was ice cold. We didnt eat. Very poor service. Needless to say, we wont be returning. So, if you want to eat dont go to this place. We saw 5 tables get served and feed and left before we even had our cold hard food. Not acceptable.
Took over an hour for food to be served. Some orders were wrong. We were upstairs, it was quite cold. Over priced.
I had the chicken burger and my friend had the beef burger. Best burgers we have both ever tried!!!
I was excited to try this restaurant and had high hopes. The waitress did not come to the table until 20mins after I arrived and did not seem knowledgeable about the menu items when asked. After we ordered, it took 40+ mins before we got our food (the place wasnt even packed). A different waitress brought our food this time, and she was nice and more knowledgeable. Unfortunately, my friends food was undercooked whereas my meal was practically burnt, so it had to be sent back. The food isnt worth the price youre paying for it, it definitely left alot to be desired. Very disappointing experience!
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very laid back and inviting. Great service.
After looking for the best seafood chowder restaurant on google, I finally decided I would try Bernard Stanley. The seafood chowder did not disappoint (good portion of seafood, good sized bowl and delicious bread), I even went back for a second time and they were out of seafood chowder because another group had come in just for their chowder. Would highly recommend .
Best burger ever and the pork belly was delicious and very big!
Love the breakfast until 4. Good food and good service.
the server was super nice but we wished the fries were better fried and bigger. we loved the curry sandwich though!
I had the Pork Belly Burger with kettle chips. The burger was so overcooked that it was crunchy. The pork belly and bacon were nicely cooked but unable to save the burger. The kettle chips were completely devoid of salt. The service was atrocious to say the least.
Awesome mussels!
Delicious food and friendly staff.
Never got to eat there as we had a reservation and 1 hour late sti l no food. The table next to us had waited 1 hour and 20 for their food. Service was okay what we saw of it. The staff blamed a large party upstair, but i sorry that doesnt wash for fòd service mgr. So we left!!!!
Excellent service and a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff is attentive. The portions are a good size and taste good. This is a hidden gem in St. Johns
A delightful surprise! This pub serves very good food in a very ordinary pub. The place is a little run down. The table we sat at was tacky/sticky. The service was very good. I would definitely go back for the food.
Good is good.
Really great spot for food and drinks. There were a few nice vegan and vegetarian options on the menu too. I had the Thai corn fritters and cauliflower tacos and they were both delicious!
The food hear was really delicious but the service was very very slow, we waited over an hour from when we placed our food order and the server checked on us so infrequently for more drinks or to clear plates.
Diverse menu ,neat food. Nice boss
Be hungry, food was great, lots of it. I got a burger and had to cut it in half and still had to go anaconda on it. One of the best burgers Ive ever had.
Excellent food and very friendly service. Portion size was great. Would recommend.
The PB&J burger was amazing and the service was great.
Tonight s Three Pig Burger is arguably the best hamburger I ve ever had. We also enjoyed the Coconut cod Tacos, that were equally as yummy. Great foods mixed with great service was a perfect ending to and amazing day. First time and if we re back in town again it will not be our last time!!!
The burgers are delicious. Best burgers in town . Our server was Jacob he was very nice and animated he definitely deserves a raise his service was just excellent. The restaurant itself needs a bit of love but other than that is a great place to be with good music.
Yummy burgers, with excellent fries. Drinks are pricey, and selection is mid. Lots of interesting options for burger and fry toppings. Wheelchair accessibility: No easily accessible. There is a step up into the front door, and stairs to access the upstairs.
If it was my choice this place wouldn t even get a star only had to give one to make a comment the service is absolutely absurd it s take over and hour to get meals waitresses are very rude and ignore you and when you have a bad experience they do not refund your money back do not go here there s better choices :)
We ate at the CBS location, the service was really good. the food would get a great if not for too much salt on the fries, but not a huge issue. I ordered the Turtle cheesecake to go, it was delicious if I had ordered a plain cheesecake. There was no turtle flavor, no chocolate or caramel, disappointing but again still good cheesecake.
An excellent and varied menu highlights your visit to this charming and comfortable St. Johns pub. You will remember fondly the food and the service. The rich wood interior is welcoming.
Couldn t eat much due to my dietary restrictions (allergies to fish & nuts, gluten free) but server was very knowledgeable about safe options. I usually inwardly groan about ordering salad but it was the best salad I think I ve eaten in my life
Decent pub food (ordered the pulled pork tacos) pleasant staff handled our big group and enjoyed partaking in our banter with us.
Great food and service... nice to have something a little different. My only criticism would be the $4.50 pop that comes in a jam jar. Fountain pop is cheap, if youre going to charge that much, at least serve it up in a bigger glass and throw a lemon or lime in there. Ill go back, its a unique menu especially for the bay.
Fantastic burgers and poutine. A cool little spot to stop at for a modern/ Canadian take on pub classics.
Love the food, love the service. Thanks for accommodating our large group!
Great staff and service. Good food.
Good food and atmosphere, breakfast are really good. i had to chance to go there multiple time i was never dissapointed.
I love Jess she s the best server in the world and the food is good :)
Food, beer, and service was excellent. PB&J burger was better than I expected. The sweet jam paired well with the jalapenos Food
Had a great brunch here! The QV strawberry guava beer was very nice, but the meal took the cake. Poached eggs over fish cakes and the seafood chowder was well worth the upgrade. Best meal Ive had here so far. If I had more time, I would come back for dinner. Definitely will be back for my next visit to The Rock.
I recently had lunch at there and overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food. The flavors were excellent. However, my experience was marred by the discovery of a hair in my burger, which left me quite disappointed. . Kid-friendliness: Yes
Went to brunch with my children and grandchildren for my sons birthday and Brandon took excellent care of us all right down to the last details. All hands enjoyed it all from the food to the service. Thanks again.
Great place for lunches!
Amazing menu and lots of options to choose from, at affordable prices. The main reason to visit this restaurant is the taste of the food, the location, and the option sizes. You get what you pay for. 10/10 will visit again.
I had the Thai Chilli Beef Panini, it is one of best sandwiches i ever had.
The burgers were amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make my partner s birthday special!
Had the ultimate bacon cheeseburger which was pretty good, fries and gravy werent as good as I had expected for the price!
The Service was awful. we called the resturant on the Christmas Day just to make sure they can serve us (there were 11 of us). Thats why I cant believe the way they treated us, we didnt just walk in! weve been waiting so long for food (not actually the problem) but The lady was serving there was literally rude. everything we asked for, she kept saying Im the only one who works today, I cant serve you now. Im not saying that our terrible experience was her fault, probably the one who schedules staffs! since she seemed tired, dissatisfied to work on holiday, and angry most of the time! pick another place for your special events cause they definitely ruin it!
Ordered a meal for my family last night and it was amazing!. Ready 5:30 on the dot food was fresh fries were crispy!
Really nice spot. Best queso fries ever. Randomly ordered them and did not regret. Super friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out.
Cold food for 100.00. Not impressed. Dog loved it. Wont be back
I really enjoyed the PB & J burger. Food was delicious and staff was friendly!
Delicious eggs Benedict! Went back for apps & drinks another time and it was great then, too.
Decided to try this place out this morning. My waffles looked more like mutilated pancakes that had the consistency of rubber and the taste was on par to rubber too. My partners cold breakfast was not cooked properly, how do you mess up ham and eggs? Seriously? Will not return. Save your money. I wish I had
Third time going to BS in the last few months and by far the worst experience. Ordered the Stanley and in all honesty probably the worst burger Ive had at a restaurant. The burger was blah! It reminded me of something from Harveys. Seemed to be a frozen pattie, cold untoasted bun. Very lackluster for a $21 burger. Spent $97 in total, probably wouldnt return.
Had the smoked salmon eggs Benny, so good. Coffee wasnt the best. Server was great
Food used to be good, but its clear they began to cut corners so the food quality has dropped drastically. Also the gimmicky food items are all terrible.
used to love the food. ordered chicken sandwiches for takeout which Ive had before and loved, way overcooked chicken, bad bread, Buffalo chicken was not Buffalo. if they tried their own food once in a while and theyd agree how bad it is. I wont be back, waste of $17 a sandwich.
Awesome Americana burger. Delicious meal. Service Awesome!
Food was great the chicken burger was definitely worth a try
Worst burger experience in my life. Ordered a salad, burger and fries. Salad was the best part, but not alot of taste going on in the seasar salad. fries must have been soaked in oil for weeks, not even crunchy. Burger was dry over cooked and lack of taste rubber is the closest thing. Yeah overall a bad experience, even though i got this place recommended.
Food was very good but the service left me unsatisfied. We arrived at 7.30 and never got our meal until 9.30. I ordered nachos for an app and they were great. I asked for extra chips and that took more than 20 minutes. By the time I got my chips, everything was cold. I am very disappointed.
Our favorite spot for food in St. Johns. Their food is amazing, parmesan fries are the best. All the sandwiches we have tried so far have been fantastic. Pear salad was also delicious. Highly suggested!
Many tasty options for Vegans that are already on the menu (no need to ask to hold the cheese or dairy here as vegan dishes are made with cashews and nutritional yeast)! BRAVO to the head chef for including so many vegan options. I will be back to try your other selections.
I used to love Bernard Stanley when they first opened around 5 years ago, but over the past year or so the quality has gone down hill unfortunately. Their takeaway hasnt been great, and ate in the restaurant the other night and noticed the ingredients they used in their food (notably the salad and the burger buns) have gone down in quality. We also had to wait around 40 mins for an appetizer, grab our own side plates from the trolly when we werent served them, and didnt have a great service experience overall. I understand times are tight, but its really too bad to see a place that had such exceptional food fall into mediocracy in my opinion.
All of my visits here were absolutely amazing! The service is great but the food is even better. Perfect spot for any time of day! The burgers and sandwiches are my favourite!
We went to Bernard and Stanley Gastropub two times during our week stay on the island. The food was exquisite with plenty of vegan and gluten options. The entire crew made it feel like home, especially Steve who waited on us both times! It was my favorite dining place in all of St. Johns, a city that is known for its remarkable food. Please dont hesitate to visit and please tell Steve that you were sent by me. You will have delicious food and a memorable time!
Had a few meals here. Good service. One night we did have a bit of a wait. We were given a discount and we didnt even complain! Now thats service and class . Well done. Excellent
Bacon wrapped meatloaf is superb. Jalapeno dip as well
They tried, bless them, but unfortunately not great service.
Had a really good meal. Not sure I ever ordered meatloaf in a restaurant before. The Bacon-wrapped BBQ Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potato and Green Beans hit the spot.
Arrived at 7:15. Took almost 15 minutes to get drinks ordered, which at the same time ordered our meals. Our server failed to tell us that there was a 1hr+ wait for food. Waited until 8:30 after having empty drinks and waters for over 45 minutes and had to settle for fast food elsewhere.
The atmosphere is nice enough but the service was very lacking and my meal left much to be desired. My server told me that I could try the beer and if I didnt like it she would take it off of the bill, I also had issues with my meal I tried the waffle nachos these were dry and had next to no toppings on them I had 2 bites and pushed my meal away. At no point did the server check with me to inquire about how I was enjoying my experience. She just brought the bill over. My girlfriend and I were out the door 5 minutes after the food hit the table. We will never come back. There is also very little on the menu that caters to vegetarian or vegan guests and there was an extreme lack of menu knowledge from our server when we were inquiring about substitutions.
Sometimes good sometimes not so good. Service can be slow. Food ok but nothing special.
Slow service. Cold food. Terrible portions
I had the pan fried cod. The sauce was the best ever. Couldn t have been more pleased!
Amazing food and staff is great. They keep you interested and chat with you about food and other stuff . Very friendly place to eat and relax
This place came recommended by a local friend and did not disappoint! Massive portions for very reasonable prices - I got the breakfast poutine and my partner got the Tex Mex Breakfast Waffle Nachos. Both were excellent. Service was great, our waitress was new but quick. We thought about coming back a few times during our trip but there were so many places to try! Next time.
I need to revise my rating. Several months ago I had a great experience. This morning less so. I sat on the patio full of optimism for my brunch, hopefully a repeat experience since last time. I was left unattended for about 15 min, then once I ordered it was another 37min to get my breakfast. I felt unattended to at the back of the patio and it was almost an hour before I received my food. This time the experience did not leave me with the same satisfaction as previously. Previous review - superb eggs Benedict, generous portion of ham, medium eggs served hot, real hollandaise made with butter. Customer service was exceptional also. Ill be back.
Had an awesome lunch here. Wasnt an upscale atmosphere if thats what youre looking for, but food and service were great. We started by sharing an order of cod tongue. I had a cod burger with kale Caesar salad as a side - both were delicious. Others with me had veggie burger and regular burger both with kettle chips, and also a chowder - all were great. Service was friendly and very accomodating, prices reasonable.
Lets start with this: the place smells kinda bad. We almost walked right back out. I think theyve got a plumbing issue, or at least they did when we were there. As far as the food, it was hit-or-miss - Half was poorly prepared, and the other half was pretty good. Some people will swear by this place for the big menu and occasional unique and well prepared item like the brie filled touton or mushroom sliders - but just as many are going to be disappointed by soggy shoestring fries and watery inedible fruit bowls.
First visit enjoyed it immensely. Cod bites were delicious.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Food was great as well as the service. Prices are a little higher but its good quality.
Walked in this morning with a friend for breakfast and was seated on the top floor - there were no other guests up there, not much light, and no server. There were tons of available tables on the main floor where all the other guests were, so I went down after a few minutes and asked if we could be seated on the main floor since it was so ghostly upstairs. He looked around awkwardly and apprehensively said sure . I asked where can we sit and he said any open table. We sat down at a booth near the front window and saw him and the other server/bartender exchange a look and laugh. I immediately left, weird vibes. Unsure what the problem was but I could probably venture a guess
We had the best food, chowder and cod bites. EXCELLENT!!! Good service and clean place.
Excellent food far exceeding my expectations the smoked meat sandwich was absolutely perfect
Unbelievable food, the nachos were amazing, ultimate cheeseburger incredible, Panini was also great. We as a group tried a wide variety of their menu between 6 of us. It was a great experience and our waitress was exceptional. I have read some reviews on here and it definitely isnt the experience we had. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I had the cod gratin. Delicious. pina colada was also nice.
Waitress brought a meat salad when I specifically asked for a vegetarian one. Both servers spent almost all of their time (while we were there) checking their phones. Didn t follow up to check on how we were doing or if we wanted coffees, water top ups. Would not go back there.
The person seating us was a great guy! Atmosphere was good!!! We had some fantastic food here. I thoroughly enjoyed three salmon tacos. Soooo meaty and tasty! My daughter had a great burger. Sorry the pic isn t the best depiction so just trust me! Small suggestion for the ladies room - add a hook in the bathroom stalls for our purses
Unreal food!!
Staff was nice. The food itself isn t anything special and the prices are bit high for what you get. I probably would not return.
Very good place for a dinner. One of the best burger I ve ever eaten.
Awesome seafood chowder, the best I ve had since I was in Maine Friendly staff . Cbs restaurant
Fantastic food.
2nd time here. Its was absolutely delicious. Will be back for sure.
Used to be good, now its really bad. Got brunch the other day. Potatoes were barely cooked(and not seasoned), bacon wasnt cooked at ALL. This isnt the only time Ive noticed a marked decrease in quality from this spot. Avoid.
Another great night here with incredible food and service.
The food is so delicious, will be back to this restaurant soon
Great staff! Emma was kind, attentive, and engaging. Food was good pub food, simple and plentiful.
Very poor customer service. Food is great.
Food is great, however the service was a bit lacking. It was just fine, not bad, but as a table of four on a not terribly busy night, the wait time for food was incredibly long.
Not impressed. Didn t receive value for our money. Fish batter overly dark. Fries looked like they came from a large bag from a grocery store ..and $4.95 for a glass of Pepsi!!!!! The waitress was very nice and efficient.
Amazing food, great service
Food and services were EXCELLENT. First time here, will definitely be back. Montreal smoked meat pannini with Parm garlic fries
The burger had too much sauce on it. My salmon was overcooked and terrible dry. Some dishes are also clearly overpriced for the portion that you get.
Delicious food with great service, the waitress was very very nice
Dinner menu not nearly as good as brunch / lunch menu
The smores pancakes were delicious. Staff were friendly. Place was clean and had a wonderful atmosphere.
Delicious food, Reasonably priced! We will be back again soon!
Food and atmosphere were awesome !
Nice pub atmosphere. The air conditioning being unevenly distributed made the back area cold. The music was classic rock and not even the good kind: more Tom Cochrane than Tom Petty. My server was lovely; and although she made a boo-boo and initially brushed it off, she did offer to make up for it, so overall good service. Price was on the steep side: $48 for burger, fries, small salad, beer, tax and tip, but the quality almost made it fair value. The salad was especially good.
Paid $85 for two small, dried-up, overcooked burgers, a watered down cocktail and a can of beer. Standards have decreased rapidly.
Great food!
Really nice atmosphere, friendly and bustling but didnt feel rushed. Felt like a pub where you could take your time. Food was really good too - wasnt sure what to expect and was really pleased to find it delicious and well made!
The peanut butter and jam burger is to die for. The best burger place in town. Hands down. This is a frequent location for my friends and I.
Good brunch after a hard night out ! Hit the spot
The burger I had was absolutely delicious. The fries were great too, but they werent very warm. Was a little disappointed that they didnt have more local craft beers on tap. But the service was friendly. Overall, I would go back to try some of the other meals on the menu.
Good food! Busy place.
Cool old building, good local beer, and great food. I had the fish and chips, and it was excellent. The service was top notch and the people I was there with all enjoyed their various meals. If I am back in the area again I would 100% eat there again.
The staff is so nice and the buildings atmosphere has so much character. I love the look of the place and the food!
Awesome breakfast, kudos to homemade hollandaise. Tasty cocktails! Friendly staff. Would highly recommend!!
Definitely the go to for burgers and awesome brunch creations
Not impressed at all. I ordered fish and chips and was not good at all. The fish was soggy wet, I had to take the batter off to eat it. Also fries came out cold... did not enjoy my lunch one bit. As for the service, it was slow even when the restaurant was practically empty. Our server never came over and asked us how our food was. I doubt that Ill go back, no I wont go back. Too bad I really was very disappointed A VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!
Great food! Great service! Great Atmosphere!
Large group but only the bro in law complained his sandwich was very dry. Nice atmosphere.
Great friendly service and excellent food
Usually I really enjoy this restaurant. Last time I went there the food took a really long time to come out and when it did it was very cold.
We had a surprised birthday party, and it was incredibly amazing. The staff is really awesome, and allowed us to decorate some part of upstairs. Also, nice person worked there, named Emily who offered great assistance to have a wonderful surprise. The buildings atmosphere has so much nice and we love the look of the place and the food! We were in the upstairs and did not realize the time of closure, and staff didnt told us anything! Finally, we realized they stayed more 1 hour than regular time for us. That was amazing and remained in our memories.
Everything (food, drink, service) was great except the fries. Fries was old and in very small pieces (not classy at all!)
