Our server Craig was super friendly, patient and efficient. It was very busy but our wait times for our app and meals was impressive. I really appreciated Craig not making me ensure the singing of Happy Birthday to get my bday treat. They've made it easy to reserve a table online, now how do I reserve Craig for our next meal there?!
Our family absolutely loves Montana’s! Everytime we come we receive excellent service and absolutely delicious food, we’re big fans of the chicken fajitas! We had to leave a review after the excellent service we received from our waitress Janet! Such a lovely, friendly person!

Went out for a late lunch with my sister and friend, there was no wait for a table and food did come come out very quickly and hot. Our server was extremely kind and helpful. I thought my food was pretty good, but the two complained. The wrap was very burnt, and in the poutine, we found multiple long curly hairs. The gravy had a very odd taste and quickly became soild. We did tell the server who made a new meal for us to take home!
We had ribs and wings combo. Our friend had the nachos. Both portions were very large and extremely tasty. I particularly liked the ribs. My wings were great but our other friends wings were burnt (he ordered exact dish as me) . Actually black on one side. Perhaps the cook forgot about it. The fries were as good as you could get from bag frozen fries. I’ll definitely order this dish again. We stayed for an hour or so after our meal and we were not rushed out. Staff were friendly.
Everything was great! Restaurant was busy so there was a short wait to be seated. We received a text when our table was ready. Seating was comfortable, lighting was soft and warm. Service was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable about menu, quick to serve and checked in at appropriate times. I ordered 1 piece fish and chips with a pink lemonade. The seasoned fries were pretty good but the beer battered fish was very good. It also came with a fresh tasting coleslaw. The pink lemonade was very sweet and punchy, sweeter than I would prefer, I would've preferred something a bit more tart but it was delicious nonetheless and had the right amount of fizz.
Honestly, this Montana's is great. The service is awesome, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is fun and cozy. I'm usually not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but Montana's is special. My girlfriend and I both got steak dinners, and both were absolutely divine. So fresh, flavourful, juicy, and tender. I definitely recommend coming here! Edit: I came back here and had another steak dinner. This time however, the steak was tough and I could barely eat it. It was way overcooked and gross. Definitely some consistency issues here.
We ate here tonight on the busiest Black Friday and the service was EXCELLENT. Food came out so fast, kind people who never rushed you, and everything tasted delicious. Everyone took my mother in law’s diabetes so seriously and made sure she was taken care of quickly. Dara was an amazing server! Kenmount Road is the best location.

Been coming here for 15 years, and its always been a great time with great food and great service (thanks especially to Janet!). The oven baked antojitos have been my go-to appetizer for over a decade and theyve never let me down!
We had a great experience. The atmosphere and service were top notch. The food was also delicious. We had a spread of appetizers. The brisket potato skins were delicious.
We went on a Friday about 4:30 to beat the rush. We didnt have to wait for a table. Good thing we went early, it got really busy. Great service, food and atmosphere.
We always dine at Montanas when in St. Johns. On our last visit the food was perfect but our server was awesome! Craig not only gave great service he laughed with us and made our time the BEST! Thanks Craig!
Wing night doesnt start till 8pm
Danielle was our server and she was fantastic! We really enjoyed the spinach dip, and our meals were delicious! I tries the apple crumble iced tea and it was so yummy! Will definitely visit again! Great job Scot and team! :)

Montanas on Kenmount Road is our go-to place when dining out. Great choices on the menu and great food. The staff is what keeps us coming back. They always go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Vegetarian options: The Vegieburger is awesome!!

I work in food delivery.. and went there to pick up an order.. it was a busy day and i could totally understand that.. i went in and found them all busy so i just stood there and didn t ask for the order because i knew its not ready.. 10 whole minutes later i just wanted to ask if there is any update. I waited till one staff came to the computer in front of me and all what i said was excuse me.. and her answer was Cant you see im in the middle of something?? Exactly 3 seconds after she said what do you need? I asked about the order and when it will be ready.. she said i have no idea and just walked away.. so im guessing it is that kind of place where you need to pay for anything to get some respect.. and dont expect any otherwise.. i ended up just cancelling the order and left!!

Amazing food all around. I love their burgers and enjoy how they do not skimp on the condiments. My only gripe is how the restaurant is always playing country music. Other than that, flawless experience. Dietary restrictions: As someone with a shellfish allergy, I was very pleased to find out that they don t cross contaminate other fried foods with their shrimp Kid-friendliness: All booths are covered in large sheets of wax paper children can draw on with crayons
Best part about this place is that, on the rare occasions the food is not up to par, they rectify things right away. Kind and generous whenever mistakes do happen. Great spot!!
Super food and ambience
Good place. The older gentleman manager is very nice, however our waitress was quite rude and ignorant on my sons birthday I guess overwhelmed with the amount of people but still dont excuse her attitude. Other then that. Good place for family.
I had the tacos with brisket burnt ends, I got 3 pieces on each taco. I had more lettuce then anything else.If I had known how little I would get I would ve ordered the chicken instead. Not worth $21.00.
Fantastic place to eat. Great food and staff.
The service is typically good, however the food can be hit or miss. This location tends to be cold, and sometimes the food can be served cold as well. It is very hit or miss but I usually have better experiences going at not peak hours. Strongly recommend their Mac and Cheese. Parking: Parking is great as there is a full parking lot that is easy to get in and out of and there is never a point when every parking space is full.

Our server was friendly and the food was hot and tasty. I suggest that the manager wear a name tag at least or a Montanas shirt so your customers are not taken back by a stranger coming to their table.
Kenmount Rd location is always consistent with their food and their service. You know what to expect everytime you go. Firecracker Burger is one of our favourites.

Great food, people and atmosphere
On average food and service has been good at this location. However tonight the service was excellent but unfortunately the food was terrible. We ordered Beef Rib, very tuff, spinach dip, dried up and no cheese or taste, chicken wings over cooked and dried out. Disappointed in the meal, these items we have ordered previously and they were very good and cooked to perfection. May try again and see if it was a bad night or going to be the norm.

Im updating my review of Montanas. The staff are great, funny and attentive. We went for unlimited rib night, food was good, the chipotle sauce isnt hot, dont expect it to be. But like my last review thus place still cant get beer right! Its one thing not to have some beers but this is the 2nd time Ive gone and beer listed on the menu as being on tap and part of the upsize deal wasnt actually avaliable on tap and they charged more if you wanted a bottle of it. Youd think a place with a cowboy setting could get beer right..... Oh well. Parking: This is a shared lot between the restaurant, gas station and strip mall. Its normally fine but can be busy. It still has a small snow pile in the middle from our winter.
Good portions, ribs were a little dry, but their chicken wings were very good. The daily specials apparently only apply after 8, which was not indicated anywhere on the website or the menu, it was only told to us by the waiter when we tried to order.

Very disappointed. Doesnt take reservations. No point of driving over a hour to get there and possibly not get a table. It shows on the website they take reservations but when you call to get one you cant.

This was my first time coming to Montana s and I must say it was just an absolutely amazing experience, the food was perfectly cooked and the Garlic and Cheese pull-apart bread was excellent. Our server Adi did such a great job and coming here was definitely the right desicion. Our food was out very quickly, we were waiting less then 13 minutes before the starter and the dinners for 3 people were already out. Overall all I loved it here, the staff, speed, and food are all astonishingly grand so we will definitely be coming back again. Great job Montana s!!

Our family visited Montanas for a late supper and my son, Colton, voiced his opinion on how amazing the service was here. We all agreed! Emma, our server was so quick and super friendly. UPDATE: After posting my displeasure with our Montanas service, a representative reached out and apologized and offered a gift certificate for Montanas. Customer service to the rescue. ORIGINAL POST: Montanas has always been a favorite of my family but our latest visit not so much! They were extremely busy, we had to go on the wait list - 17 minutes (not bad, great system). My medium-rare steak was bland, not even any salt. I asked for steak sauce to mask the taste. My wife ordered a medium steak but was served a very blue steak that could have been in the meadow mooing. After having her steak replaced in 15-20 minutes she was no longer hungry. Worst experience ever at Montanas. The kapow shrimp and skillet cookie were still good though. The server was excellent. Kid-friendliness: They always have items to entertain the kids, from silly hats to fun worksheets. They have a good kids menu too.

Montanas has a great vibe, good food, and cold beer. There s really not much to complain about. But for the love of god do not order the burnt brisket ends. Im pretty sure it was literally just the charred fat caps of steaks that weren t fit to be served as entrees. Just a pile of blackened strips of grease served on Texas toast which was actually just a piece of white bread. Like I said, everything else was great, but the burnt ends appetizer was offensively bad lol.

Always attentive staff. Food is great! Steaks done to perfection and the nachos had amazing fresh toppings. Try the Caesar, it s delicious!
Initial order of Fish and Chips were soaked in grease, and over cooked. Ended up having a replacement chicken sandwich with the exact same problem. Finally finished with the steak to avoid anything from their clearly broken fryers. The steak was fine, not spectacular or worth the price, but at that point I just wanted to eat and leave.

If you want a reasonably priced steak that actually tastes amazing, side dishes that are incredible (their fries are wicked good and I dies for a side of baked beans), and a great atmosphere for the whole family, come here! We went recently for my best friends birthday and had a time! Their birthday jingle is great too! Parking: Huge parking lot! There are always enough spots! Kid-friendliness: Perfect spot for the whole family! They have crayons for the kids and you can draw right on the table cloth! Wheelchair accessibility: One floor restaurant with easy access for wheelchairs.

Our hearts were feeling extra heavy today, but we decided to celebrate Fathers Day at Montanas. Our Server, Madison, was fabulous, and she has no idea how much her great service and friendly personality cheered us up. She made sure our food came quickly, and checked back several times to ensure we were okay. At one point, we were trying to take a family photo and Madison offered to help. Thank you Madison, for going above and beyond your work duties to put a smile on the faces of four strangers. Our hearts felt much lighter when we left (And our bellies were full with good food!) PS - I definitely recommend the veggie burger!

Great family choice or have a beer while sharing nachos and wings.
The food here is always top-notch. All my kids (16, 11, and 7) can color together since the table is covered with craft paper. Also, they have an amazing kids rib meal, so they are able to have ribs without needing to get an adult portion just to do so. Our server Ryan was awesome too, friendly and patient and quick to help. Its definitely a great meal, and Im looking forward to stopping by again. Parking: Lots of spots, and plenty of handicap parking right by the door. No issues finding parking. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is very welcoming to kids, and it is great to have a giant sheet of paper on the table they can share and color on! Also the selection of kids meals is much better than most other places. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is completely accessible. Very easy to navigate.

I had my family of 5 here last night for my sons 7th birthday. When it came time to bring his cake out, our server said they were all too busy to sing while 5 mins before they sang to a guy next to us. Our kids meals were cold. Also our server didnt give us a bill. Just passed us the machineto pay .... Realized this after when we left.

Great food, we waited 42 mins for a table BUT that wait was worth it. Their app shows you where you are in line and the text feature lets you know when to come right in. We had garlic pull apart bread and wow, wow, wow!!! Amazing Appetizer. Then we had 10oz and 12oz steaks, done very well and so delicious. With a skillet of mushrooms and onions that smelled so amazing the tables on either side of ours ordered them too. As mentioned the place was very busy, so our server - while great - was spread very thin in our section. We had multiple people bring our dishes and wasnt checked on during the meal so never got steak sauce but still overall such a great date night. We will be back once we get a sitter again
Food was over cooked and they seem to be more worried about getting the table free to get the next couple in the door. Tv seems to have just the one same channel on all tvs.
