120 New Gower St, St. John's, NL A1C 6K4, Canada
Serving fresh, local cuisine in the heart of St. John's. Located in the Delta Hotel St. John's.
Tasty but pricey. Chelsea is great 😃 it's a bar, but nice atmosphere and very clean.
Consistently the worst part of every stay at this hotel. Dinner and bar is fine. At breakfast, they just don’t care. Service and food are awful.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant located within the Delta Hotel in St John's. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is open yet cozy and there were meal options that suited my gluten free preferences. I was lucky enough to enjoy a 1.5 lbs steamed lobster with vegetables before there were no longer any available. It was steamed perfectly and the vegetables were seasoned just right. Breakfast the next morning included an egg white omelet which also hit the spot and fueled me for my journey to Cape Spear. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're visiting St John's. One more thing: try the gluten free carrot cake. You won't regret it!
Very nice restaurant, great menu. We had a great time eating with my family here. It is located inside the Delta Hotel and was informed that it is owned by Delta Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pinnacle Restaurant and Lounge located in The Delta St. John’s Hotel, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, with well-spaced tables and a cozy lounge area with plush couches. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which always adds to the overall dining experience. I ordered the steak, cooked medium rare, with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, with flavours reminiscent of Montreal steak spice. It was also well peppered, adding an extra kick of flavour. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice balance to the meal. The only downside was that the mashed potatoes were too creamy for my taste, but that's my preference. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Pinnacle Restaurant and Lounge. The food was delicious, the staff were attentive, and the ambiance was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Delta. Ps. I stayed at the Delta on a Saturday evening in June, and the kitchen stopped taking orders at 11:00 pm, while the last call for drinks seemed to be around 11:30 pm.
Had a convenient dinner here with the family after a long day of sightseeing and it offered the right touch from the comfort of our own hotel. We continued our seafood focus while in town so enjoyed the lobster roll, seafood fettuccine and coconut shrimp. Portion sizes were quite generous and we savoured the seafood. Only mention is the lobster roll was a tad too salty for our liking. Service was very attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a quick bite if you simply want to relax and do not want to venture out downtown.
Missed breakfast, so we had lunch instead. Food was good but nothing special, would certainly go again (hopefully in time for breakfast!). Lighting was kind of dim for a lunch but the main bar area code night next was open and bright so it wasn’t as dark as it could have been, but would have liked a bit brighter
Really enjoyed our food on the first night at St. John's. My lobster was delicious and my hubbyliked his seafood bowl! We were advised on local beers, so we could choose the right one. The service was great. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Angie took wonderful care of us, food was delicious!!
Awful customer service. I ve stayed here many times and whenever I try to sit down for food I have to wait for 20 mins or more to be waited on. Always seems to be understaffed even when there is only 6 people in the room
excellent food!
Service is friendly but extremely slow. The need more people working when it is busy.
Half of the fries were un-edible small leftover pieces and tasted bitter. Pita bread was stale, a weird chunk in spinach dip. Cod in seafood chowder tasted weird, and the scallop in it was undercooked. Asked if we could have garlic bread with chowder and the server said yes without telling us that 4 (triangular shape- like half of a slice bread size) pieces of their garlic bread cost $12!!! They also served these $12 garlic bread on the plate edge of the chowder, which made every single piece of them soggy on the bottom. This place is ridiculous. Never again and will tell everyone we know to avoid here. Ridiculous.
Food was ok/good. But the price is on the expensive Side. It is worth it for people already at the hotel and dont want to go out.
Food was delicious and the service good. The restaurant atmosphere was ok.
Excellent food, great servers and great beer on tap.
Food is delicious. Service is fantastic Love the atmosphere Food : 5/5
The food here was great and the staff we super helpful and friendly
Nice place to sit and relax ,staff service was excellent
Great staff. Tasty meal.
3.5 feels more accurate, but breakfast is okay, typical hotel buffett and options. Nothing special, and prices are inflated since youre at a hotel. I wouldnt do the buffet unless you are really hungry, the food cooked to order is much better quality. Also tried takeout, wanted to do room service but it was unavailable as they where swamped with events at the hotel and low staff with covid, pretty normal in st. Johns. Food was all fine Nothing to crazy. Typical hotel place.
Buffet breakfast was ok . A little expensive for the quality you receive. Scrambled eggs were over scrambled and were broken into tiny pieces that couldn t be picked up and they were watery, bagel I had was stale (toasting didn t help it), fresh fruit was good, array of cold cereals was good and bread selection was ok. Would I eat there again - only if I have an early flight.
I loved the fish n chips. Really lovely cod and crispy coating
One of the best pan fried cod Ive ever had. Great food and excellent service.
Nice
Awesome food and amazing service !!!
Food is meh, prices are high for the offered quality.
$$$$$ very expensive for a buffet. Just go to the timmies next door. You dont even have to go outside.
Nice restaurant
Good breakfast but service is average.
Great food by new cook
Good quality of food and great staff
I had the steak sandwich with the atlantic blue beverage and they were both amazing the staff were super friendly and helpful it was an amazing dinner
over priced
Food was alright but the service was awful. Eleven people were in our party and the restaurant wasnt that busy.... everyone who came after us got their food and left while we still waited. No explanation, no apology, nothing. After 65 minutes we got bread and after 70 minutes people got their food but delivery was so slow some we re finished before others got served! No discount was offered. It really soured our experience. The waiter said the manager was aware but again she didnt speak with us. Hard to enjoy supper when youre angry and rushed!!
I had been in St. Johns for a week, staying at the Delta but always chose to dine elsewhere, never having had looked at the menu at Mickey Quinns. On the last morning available I decided I would take advantage of the convenience of eating at the hotel and stopped into the restaurant with my traveling companion. It was about 10 in the morning and I was surprised to see only two other tables occupied. My companion informed me that it had been this way on the two other occasions she had the opportunity to see the restaurant. As I received the menu I was not surprised as to why. The prices were outlandish! A bowl of fruit was $10, omelettes ranged from $16-18 and I think even a simple bowl of cereal was $5-6. The menu items were very standard - which is FINE if you are going to charge a standard price. I should have purchased the $20 buffet and expanded my choices. I was warned by another dining guest against ordering the Belgian waffle, which was quite basic. I ordered the vegetarian omelette which had asparagus, tomatoes, spinach and cheese. I think the omelette would have been more successful if it had been feta perhaps - less greasy. Our service was polite and efficient - one of our coffee mugs was very stained and our server was quick to apologize and was good about checking in with us. Apparently this had not been the experience with another server the previous day when my companion had taken breakfast. She had to remind the server (in the near-empty dining room) that she had ordered coffee. Furthermore, she was not asked if she took milk or cream and was simply brought milk, which she couldnt drink. This restaurant has potential for more service if they either lower their prices or increase their quality. A smaller menu with more creative options would serve them well in my opinion. The hotel is currently under renovations - maybe they can add the restaurant to the list!
Mickey Quinns no longer exists as part of the Delta Hotel remodel it was replaced with a new restaurant / bar called the Pinnacle
Poor
I just paid $27 for bacon, sausage, and eggs. Toast was cold and hard, as were the eggs. As I am almost finished, I notice staff cleaning up trays of items around the corner. I asked the waitress about it, and she said oh, yes, they are cleaning up the breakfast buffet . Apparently it is $21 for that unlimited breakfast including coffee, but she forgot to mention it. The restaurant was not busy at all, how could she forget? Total BS
Cold chicken in my Caesar salad. Not sure if it was freshly grilled. Lettuce was not very fresh. Cheddar cheese in French onion soup....must have missed that on menu.
