Streamliners Espresso Bar in St Thomas

Very disappointed. Met a friend for coffee, had been here before and love the cafe decor and ambiance. Ordered a simple Americano, which, when served to me, was a weird golden color with zero visible crema...I actually wondered if they had served me tea by mistake. The flavour was correspondingly weak, so I approached the girl at the counter and told her that my Americano was very weak. She proceeded to explain to me, a tad patronizingly, what an Americano is: I know what it is, Ive been drinking them for years. So I inquired about the beans used, and received a vague and not overly helpful answer. Since she just stood there and looked at me after that, I returned to my table and drank the insipid brew. I dont know if that particular batch of beans was underroasted, if the grinding of the beans was incorrect, if the dose used was too low, or if the machine itself was having an issue. I do know that for 87 cents a pod, my Nespresso machine makes a far superior espresso. More disappointing than the beverage itself was the fact that, when faced with an unhappy customer and the cost of a single shot beverage, no offer was made to re-make the drink, and make the situation right.

Streamliners is so good that once you have it all other cafes will be ruined for you forever. Haven t had coffee from anywhere else since I first went here 3 years ago.

I come here at least once a week. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the coffee is delicious. We especially love the seasonal specialty drinks. We also love the fun events they participate in, like the Pumpkin Crawl. I recommend this cafe to all my friends. When Im not able to go to the cafe, I have their beans at home to brew for myself.

Excellent coffee. Flat white was superb. Nice high ceilings. Interior brick wall. Unfortunately no A/C. But lots of ceiling fans.

A great locally owned space to meet with friends, colleagues or family for a local coffee and treat that sources their products locally. So happy they have dairy free options, the wolverine with almond milk is my favourite! As local as you can get for a local small coffee shop!! #StThomasProud

Most amazing coffee shop on earth!! The staff takes the time and extra care to brew perfection in a cup. There are tons of unique espresso drink options and so many yummy house made syrups to choose from. And best of all it s actually affordable and reasonable prices compared to other chain coffee shops (and tastes better). Streamliners is by far the best coffee and espresso in St. Thomas! I highly suggest you try it out!

This was my first time at Streamliners. While the staff was incredibly welcoming and super warm, I was a little disappointed with the limited choices in pastries as I had hoped to grab a little j as I had missed lunch. My latte while being gorgeously prepared was I overpriced at $7 given the competition in town. Not to say I wont give them a second try but first impressions were a meh! Wheelchair accessibility: The front door does allow for wheelchair access, however the back of the restaurant where the more comfortable seating or where groups congregate does not allow for access ( unless they have a ramp that I was not made aware of or offered)

Absolutely my favourite coffeeshop Ive ever been to. Atmosphere is perfect and coffee is always delicious. They have lots of plant milk options and they offer fun feature drinks. Signature drinks are very fun: New York Central and Wolverine are my favorites

The coffee was great, and the treats were delicious! We really appreciated the large space in the back because we could fit our double stroller, and there were even board games for the kids! The front end of the coffee shop is bright, and the seating area seems like a nice place to do some work with your afternoon coffee. Kid-friendliness: Theres a nice space in the back with a couch and low table if you are coming with children. Theres also a change table in the staff bathroom.

Streamliners owns a special place in my heart! We are always welcome with a friendly greeting, small talk, and the best coffee and pastries around! The space is intimate, you can converse with friends and family with ease! 10/10 everyday!!

I was in St. Thomas for the morning and had not been here in a few years. Was looking for coffee and a friend recommended streamliners I was not disappointed the double Americano was delicious and the oatmeal trail mix cookie really hit the spot. I will be back.

Went in for a coffee this morning. The service was amazing and the coffee cookie was delicious. The only thing that brings down the food star is the lack of lactose free milk. They do have almond, I just am not a fan. Other than that, I will definitely be going back.

Feb 5 at 1125 I was served a most delicious cappuccino. The two employees very orientated to customer service. Combined these two comments made for an extremely pleasant experience.

I really like this place, I started going here shortly after Coffee Culture closed down. I didnt even know it existed. Their Wi-Fi is surprisingly very good, I completed my website and got my side business up and running on it in a week :D and the coziness of this place is what allowed me to sit there for hours doing that :D Most the staff is extremely kind and pleasant, one of the girls makes a fancy coffee with a leaf design on top and it tastes amazing. The prices are fair, and the large windows at the front are a nice touch except for the gigantic Food Basics sign that youre forced to look at but its not their fault. I moved to St. Thomas 2 years ago and its always nice to discover places like this as I am still not familiar with everything around here. Starbucks and Tim Hortons are trash so this will now be my go to spot for coffee, tea, and to work on projects whenever I want to get out of the house.

Check times before visiting!!!!! Wrong times on google!!! Great coffee and nice place. Good food. Only dislike is how when we came in last time. Google maps said its closing at 4. But it was actually 3. We came in at 2:38 and it looked like they were packing up. My friend was visiting from London. And we were turned down. Because it wasnt fair to us to stay past 3 to close up. Servers words. Even tho we stil had time to take coffee to go. So my dislike is for the times its open. And the wrong time on Google.

My favourite place to go when visiting St T!! Maria & staff put so much care into the menu, and each hand crafted drink! Summer time NY iced latte is my GO TO. I finally bought Las Chicas espresso to make it at home - so yummy. Kindest , hardest working staff who put love & care into what they do!

Waste of money. Coffee was an under extracted sour mess, overpowererd by syrups and a mountan of spices dumped on top. Buttertart was a hollow void with 3 nuts on top like all the filling dripped out. I not going to even touch on they technique of the baristas th one who served us would be a better fit over at a tims

They offer a wide variety of specialty espresso drinks that are hand crafted by their baristas. Very friendly staff! Vegetarian options: Variety of meal options - numerous baked goods that are vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options and dairy free drinks. Parking: Free street parking at the front and large lot at the rear.

The absolute best peppermint mocha I ve ever had! Amazing espresso, sweet staff and gorgeous space. They ve recently added an incredible line up of pantry goods and as always fully stocked up on Las Chicas coffee roasted right across the street. Love love love!

This is the ONLY decent coffee in St. Thomas. Ive had a few americanos and theyre ok. I feel like the beans are holding them back. Theyre from a local roaster. Excellent service and a wonderfully inviting interior.

Absolutely top quality coffee and espresso! The beans are roasted right across the street too so you couldnt get it any fresher than this. Definitely a place to visit in St Thomas if you like coffee. The price is reasonable for an independent business that provides such high quality beans and services. Some of the tables were a little bit unstable though, so be careful haha.

I moved from East Toronto to St. Thomas recently and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever find the piece of heaven that Streamliners is. How on Earth did they get everything right? The coffee, the food, the music, the atmosphere, the events and the service all spectacular. I never found a cafe in Toronto that was this amazing. 10 out of 10 people!!! Holy smokes. Parking: Great large parking lot in the back and parallel parking in the front.

We came here while traveling and this place was crisp clean bright and airy. Perfect for a break from a long drive. The staff service was excellent and the baked goods were fantastic and went along with the great coffee. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of street parking available and the washrooms were clean and bright. Im sad that Im only passing through!

Best place in town to go for meetings! I recommend a vacation tea latte (made with coconut milk). If you need a bite to eat get a quiche, they are luscious! You also cant go wrong with Nica breakfast once a month!

Superb! Had a Cortado and a French Press. Yum. Excellent espresso and dark roast coffee from Las Chicas. The staff is very informative and kind. Great atmosphere to sit for a bit. Grabbed a London Fog to go. The tea is from a local company also. I was just passing through St Thomas and so glad I stopped here to get tea and coffee.

Horrible service. After 10 minutes of waiting for my coffee I was asked if I had ordered coffee. No one seemed bothered. I was then asked to reorder it. Our work place is always on the lookout of using local businesses but this one I am definitely not recommending.

Love to support local businesses, but Streamliners needs to work at a faster pace in an attempt to take orders and make the coffee. Lots of workers behind the bar but no one seemed to be doing anything or as a previous customer stated, did not seem to care. Am confident Streamliners can turn it around. Great location and cozy atmosphere.

Hands down the best coffee around because it is truely a farm to fork business! How cool is it that her own family grows the beans and then we receive them right away in St Thomas?! A wonderful surprise hidden in plain sight. I drive by this place daily and I have never entered until today. It is an amazing experience. The coffee was delicious. I ordered a chemex coffee which was a slow drip artisinal coffee. It was not only a really cool visual, but the coffee was amazing. The front of the store was a lot busier than I expected. It was relatively packed full of people. Close to the front they had paper and different shades of coffee to paint. It seems they select a few of the best and hang them on the wall. The back of the store is a little art showcase where they have a selection of local artists work for viewing and some for sale. They also have shirts, filters, and other coffee merchandise for sale.

They have a great selection! I love how they have a local company provide their teas. I have tried the Pitta from Wildflowers Farm both iced and hot and it has been amazing! The atmosphere (when we are allowed to dine in places) is peaceful and productive.

I am so excited about this place! When things open up, there will be music and community events. They sell the excellent coffee from Las Chicas del Cafe, and all the coffee varieties they serve are delicious. I am not eating sugar right now, so I cannot directly review the baked goods, but my husband tried them and liked them too. I am sure it will be one of my favorite hangouts in St Thomas.

Awesome little coffee shop! These guys really care about their community. They sell local teas and sometimes host open mic jams with local artists. Fantastic atmosphere and incredible staff. A++++++

First time there this morning. I had my first ever Wolverine, and all I have to say is, perfect. This drink was light, not too sweet, espresso-ey, it was amazing. Would highly recommend you stop in. A real coffee shop! I love the local vibe. Its so welcoming and bright. The coffee is offered two ways - French press or Pour Over, both are great! Such a great variety of sweets and treats, as well as grab and go cold drinks and snacks. The staff all know what theyre doing! I had breakfast for the first time and it was AWESOME!

A1 service; incomparable tasting coffee and a great selection of healthy food items. Their brownie is free of gluten and full of yummy goodness. This place is nothing less than spectacular, with plenty of seating and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
