I recently ordered the Regular Chicken Fries Boutine for delivery from Shelby’s Shawarma, and it was delicious! The flavors were spot on, and I really enjoyed the meal. However, my only concern is the inconsistency in portion size. Some days you get a great amount for the price, while other days it feels like you don’t. Overall, I still recommend it for the tasty food! Update: I recently ordered lunch (the same dish) via delivery and the team acknowledged a previous issue and sincerely apologized, ensuring that the portion size was perfect this time. I appreciate the outstanding customer service and am happy to update my rating from 4 to 5 stars!
Food is always 5/5 but the wait is always very long. Very friendly nice staff but seems to be constantly understaffed and too busy for 2 people to handle. 28 minutes for 2 rice bowls with 2 people ahead in line is ridiculous. Still occasionally worth the wait as the food is worth it, but would suggest ordering ahead if you are in a rush or expect to wait awhile. Would get a 5/5 for sure if the wait time for walk in orders was more reasonable.
I come here with my friends all the time cause we all love their food and the workers are super polite and the food is always just as good.
The staff made the incorrect food and was delivered. When I called they expressed keep your receipt and come in later date to get food. When I called today they told me to pull up phone records and all to accommodate there mistake. Worse part is I had a staff member calling me back like he was some sort of management to find out he is not and just a regular staff member. He tried to express I was swearing at him directly and I was not. To then tell me he won’t honour what they said they would do. This is unfortunate and I truly hope no one supports this Buisness and focuses on the local small restaurants that deserve our Buisness. Not some one from out of town who doesn’t honour or respect locals.
The service is fast and you have tons of options to choose from. Sides and salads as well as fries are great. The missing point is the quality of the shawarma itself. It’s disappointing. The chicken was not delicious and looked like low quality dark meat. I think if they try to improve their meat, everything else works just fine. Also the staff were friendly and respectful.
We live in St.Thomas and Shelby's is one of our family's favorite restaurant. We usually order through Skip the dishes.I decided to come today for in-person order but quite disappointed because before we even ordered, the staff said that the waiting is between 30-40 minutes. So we went home and I just order through courier which arrived on time. Shelby's should improve in-person service and up staff your employees as there are only 2 people working especially busy hours. This is the second time I came to the store that the service is very slow, but before I was not rushing, I was patient enough to wait for the order as it is worth the wait because I love the taste and Shelby's is my go-to meal. Thank you, otherwise please continue to make good food Shelby's.
shelby’s is soooo good. i am addicted to shelby’s, so much so that i could need an intervention. the beef and lamb shawarma boutine is the best thing to ever grace my tastebuds. thank you shelby’s. Edit: I also wanted to add - this is the best shelby’s location. I’ve tried multiple, the one in Windsor specifically cannot even come close to matching what this Shelby’s location brings to the table. They’re the silent warriors ensuring we get the best shawarma we can get. I order my boutines with half reg garlic, half spicy garlic - if anyone was looking for a good recommendation 😋
First time going here. Sign at the cash says order here. We waited while other people came in and went to a different section to actually order. Maybe put that sign where you want people to actually place the order. Pictures don't show pink rice. Wonder what makes the rice pink?
Chicken is okay Forget the meat But how about shawarma when the teacher is not Arab!!!! The price is very exaggerated

What is going on with fusion shawarma? We just moved down the street from this location and we were super excited to try out Shelbys. I ordered the chicken wrap and asked for no fries because why are there fries in the shawarma? What i got was very different from the description, the pita itself reminded me more of naan bread than a pita, i got a few onions but zero vegetables and not very much chicken, no hummus or anything else included in the photos and description. I have not had a shawarma in ages and this was such a disappointment. The service was very slow as they were busy putting together pick up orders for uber eats etc, i wish i was able to see them make mine but you do not have the option of seeing the ingredients before hand. there was no one in the restaurant eating which i should have taken as a sign. Unfortunately we will never go back. One wrap and a bowl no drinks was over 30$ which i find very over priced for what you get. We really wish St Thomas had better options for middle eastern food as this place really misses the mark. Parking: The parking was the only good thing going for this place.

Finally had the shawarma wrap Shelby is known for here, the Shelbys I went to in London lost their touch IMHO - oily bread and bad taste in chicken. Please dont become like them if u need a quality control man contact me
I went in today at 2 pm and ordered a chicken rice bowl, my rice is pink. I am really disgusting by the pink rice that I could not eat this. I use to order the rice bowl all the time and the rice use to be yellow/orange so not sure why it changed. I would not return I am really grossed out.

Had the worst shawarma ever today. Shelby s used to be good, but now its pathetic.
I love Shelby s been eating it for years but I had a chicken bowl yesterday and fue hours later I was feeling sick today Iv been throwing up can t eat or get things done I had to wait 35 minutes because they weren t working I notice they slack off if you don t tip Iv gotten my order wrong Iv paid for extra stuff I didn t get and I find it rude to watch them do nothing then do a bad job and get me sick the food is wonderful when done right so I m kinda 50/50 right now hopefully this ll get fixed
Usually visit london locations with much satisfaction. Happened to be in st thomas. Placed an order in store and waited over 35 minutes before they even started making our food. Then it wasnt even an appropriate portion for what I paid for.

Revolting. Who the literal F puts Mayonnaise on a shawarma??? No dressing on fatouche salad, just lettuce and a single piece of onion. Never will I EVER go back. So gross.
NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY !! After seeing countless videos of Shawarma man on YouTube I finally tried but sadly It s not worth the hype, portions are too small for the price. Fries were not cooked properly, meat was so dry. Only their rice and containers are fancy. Also their spicy garlic sauce isn t spicy and won t give you heartburn which is good but still I would suggest y all to go for some other shawarma spots than this. I would rather go for osmows or lazeez whose meat I find more tender even though formers garlic sauce gives me heartburn and laters wraps bread is not that good. So for wraps go for osmows and lazeez for rice and bowls.
First visit. Had the Shelbys Wrap w/beef and lamb. Delicious, especially the garlic sauce. Great new texture and flavour experience. Will be back and try something different next time. Bring your own napkins as they only have wetnaps.
We always enjoy the food here but today we ordered 2 legendary boutines and got 2 smalls. Super disappointing when you re paying almost $18 for one.

Food is great, but service is slow. Ive placed multiple online orders to be be picked up at a specific time, each time Ive shown up (10-15min after the intended pickup time) the order hasnt even been started.

I went in to grab forks, and they made me wait 30 MINUTES. No one was ordering food. The workers just stared at me and REFUSED to service me. Horrible staff. Do better.
Parking is only available on the surrounding streets as there didnt seem to be a specific parking lot. The food was excellent and very tasty. Came out pretty quick and was made to order. Had a good selection of different options and styles and I would love to try a different item there. They are a little on the expensive side which was a shame as it was $15 for one specialty shawarma.
The store is solemn and cozy. The food is beyond my expectation. The shawarma is legit. Ive been in Saudi Arabia so I can tell you the food here is authentic. Will come back for sure! Special thanks to Parth for accomodating me

Fabulous young lad behind the counter, very friendly and knowledgeable. And the food? FABULOUS!!!! Sloppy Moe and a middle Eastern style Burrito. Many more items in the menu we want to try. Will be back. (Both meals were enough to have leftovers for the next day)

I have been to Shelby more frequently in past 3-4 months .recently I went there and checked the price for interested items& for todays special. Service person mentioned todays special is13.99 ( regular price was 15.99$) so I thought let s try todays special. At time of billing i got charged 18.$ I understand tax but 13.99 - can t be directly 18$.I have asked for details so ,service person mentioned that sorry it was old price .like really? Even though I clearly asked the price before ordering. At time of billing u change the price ? It s not about refund and all but you can t rip ur customer and just say oh sorry it s old price . It might be genuine mistake - then there has to be update price. & specific mention for todays special . and it s not customers mistake if your employee mentioned that old price . I have been through Shelby in different location but was not expecting this . Good taste but disappointed by experience this location.might be genuine mistake but this is my experience . Vegetarian options: Recommend falafal bowl & shawrma .

Update: Tried them again - exact same problem. Ordered online for pickup, expecting I can pop in and out since its a working lunch. Placed order and arrived ~25 minutes later. Food was not ready and ended up having to wait as other walk in orders where completed until they could get to mine. Food is great if you have the time to wait. If you are trying to get something quick, go elsewhere. Dont bother to order online for pickup, you might as well just go in and wait in line. Terrible service. Great food if you are willing to wait an hour or more for a shwarma. I ordered online and gave ample time for the order. When I arrived, they havent even started on it. No point ordering ahead. Just show up and pray for a short wait. If you want somewhere more reliable, go to Shebaz or Osmows in town.

Ive been seeing Shelbys shorts in YouTube and was curious about the food. Sadly we dont have an outlet in our area but we drove through at Thomas on the way back from Port Stanley and decided to finally give it a try. I must say I was impressed with the homemade bread, the quality of the food, and the taste. The service was also great, provided by an international university student who was attentive and polite. Overall a great experience.

I ve been coming to this location for about 1.5 years. I don t know what s happened but the service has gotten so slow. Right now I m in the store and ordered my food over 10 minutes ago and they haven t started to make it. One guy is in the back washing dishes while the other makes an order. They aren t busy. Me and two other customers in the store. This is a quick service restaurant . If you can t handle 3 orders in an efficient time, you shouldn t be in the quick service industry. Update: it took just under 20 minutes to get my food. I got home and was eating my shawarma biryani and realized it was off then I realized he didn t add the mint sauce.

Got 2 legendary wraps, one chicken and one beef, they put 2 half scoops each the sandwich had barely any protein in it, yet they take pride in making the biggest shawarma, it was a very disappointing experience to say the least. I was expecting a fat sandwich, not a super skinny one i ended up eating both of them and i wasnt full and i am not even fat.

Ive had a lot of shawarma all over town to town. City to city. This one by far is the worse tasting place yet. And expensive not to mention. Serving ceasers salad? Its definitely not authentic. Mcdonalds is definitely better in my opinion.

Went for the first time. Ordered two chicken shawarmas. Was asked what I wanted on them and I explained. My bill was $10 extra then expected. When I realized and asked why, the employee told me it was for extra hot sauce and tahini sauce! Lol I ve never been charged extra at any other shawarma place ever! Not to mention the food was awful and didn t taste even close to any authentic shawarma. Go anywhere else!

When I came into the restaurant I wasn t greeted and was left standing there for 5 minutes when someone did serve me the person seemed high on drugs and charged me over 15$ for a side order of just chicken when all other locations charge under 6$ I won t ever be coming back to this location rip off avoid it and don t waste your money a lot of reviews are fake

The food was awesome
I ordered a falafel which is a staple product at any good shawarma place. The highlight was the wrap itself which was cooked right in front of me from a ball of prepared dough. It had the right amount of stretchy chew with a very fresh-out-of-the-oven taste. The falafel balls were prepared too and came out of a cooler. They were ok after they were deep fried but did not compare to the crunchy-on-the-outside-fluffy-on-the-inside delights you get from a typical family run falafel shop. I was also disappointed with the trimmings. The tomatoes had been cubes instead of sliced as had the pickled turnip. Tabouli or even just frah parsley was absent. And finally the hot sauce was bland and served from a sriracha bottle.
