Country Charm Cafe in St Thomas

First time having breakfast at this place, experience was great. We got just what we asked for, and very friendly service.

The breakfast here is delicious, good portions and reasonable prices for the food.

Comfortable, relaxing place for breakfast. Always busy for their meals because the food is so good.

First timer to this place and i loved it .came here with my wife while visiting port stanley we were looking for a breakfast place in that area but decided instead for st thomas .and thats where we found this gem of a place .ohhh man what a great breakfast we had .never seen thick cut back bacon before it was delicious! Service was nice and cordial and quick! Next time we visit the are we will be coming back for sure

My wife and I thought of checking out this cafe on my first visit to St Thomas and we were very impressed. The food was delicious and the staff working there were very sweet. The atmosphere in the cafe was great and this place is definitely a must visit. Well be returning for sure. Parking: Over 8 parking spots on front of the cafe Kid-friendliness: The staff are great and very friendly with kids.

The one place to go if you just want a basic breakfast. Bacon , eggs and hash browns done like no other in town . At least not compared to service and pricing.

I remember when breakfast here was affordable. I just ordered 2 eggs with bacon, toast, home fries, and a coffee. Was just charged $17.50! Used to love coming here on my visits to St. Thomas, but no more. At that price, the presentation needs to improve and the coffee should taste fresh.

Best place for breakfast and lunch hands down!

Food was great! One thing I didnt like was not even at the table for 2 minutes after getting coffee and menus and had someone ask if we were ready to order. Said nope need few more minutes not even 2 minutes later ANOTHER WAITRESS asked again. Didnt like that. We get the bill put money on the bill and no one came we had to actually ask someone for the change. It was a $35 bill paid with a 50$ NO WAY I would be leaving a $15 tip. Just odd how they are pushy to get you order but then slow down once its time to pay.

I asked to substitute pancakes to French toast. They refused unless I paid a $9.99 upcharge. Sausage wasnt cooked fully and eggs were runny...on top of everything they have 2 small notices saying they dont take debit or credit...it cost me 40 for 2 people for breakfast...

Cozy little place. The staff / waitress was amazing. My steak was over cooked they redid it. The place is very CLEAN. I was amazed even the bathroom was CLEAN. I was a bit surprised at the prices for a cash only place and my husbands can of ice tea was $4.00 shocking. All in all a neat place.

Excellent food here. I love their breakfast. Service was fast. Cash only, but they have a machine in the restaurant. Will come back.

Staff very friendly. Huge amount of food as had to take some home. Very clean and very busy. Get your moneys worth. Would recommend if you are looking for dine in or take out. I have done both.

Down-to-earth, cash-only place with diner classics and brunch staples, all served with a smile and small town hospitality! Highly recommend the French toast with cinnamon sugar! Special thanks to Cathy for making it a great Easter brunch!

I have always loved this place! You may pay a bit more than somewhere else, but if you leave hungry, its your own fault!

I wish I had looked into what I was getting before I did. 16 dollars for 3 chocolate chip pancakes, 7 dollars for a tea, and coffee, 850 for an egg sandwich. That was 2 pieces of brown bread and I egg. Staff was wonderfully atmosphere was lovely. Just a bit shocked at what I got being almost forty dollars.

Even though the food is great, the staff is friendly, the place has a great atmosphere for what they are going for and the service is quick, they still have limited hours and do not take debit and only cash. They do have a machine onsite but you are paying for that. That is the reason that I have given them 4 stars ****.

This place is great, it is like stepping back into Grandmas house for Sunday night dinner. There is Great laughter, good conversation ,people are not loud its a nice place to have a quiet dinner if thats what you choose to do. The staff always seem to be upbeat and happy always smiling very friendly & the food is fantastic.... its a great place to be

We visited in August with my aunt and uncle from Nova Scotia, and then more recently with my dad. Both times we had wonderful service, delicious home-cooked breakfast that was perfect and not a long wait. We love country charm.

Enjoyable place for breakfast and lunch. Not the chain restaraunt type place. More homey without the work!

Upon questioning server said its posted in the window It is but not clearly visible and not mentioned till chq came. Visible signs are that its trip advisor approved and other accolades. Had a nice lunch with my mother. Cute decor, tables are maybe a little small. I had the liver and onions, which was delicious. The liver was cooked perfectly. Not overdone, still tender. Huge, generous portions.

FOOD & SERVICE WAS GREAT

Several of us would ride our bicycles from Tillsonburg to the Country Charm for breakfast. Great breakfast for a great price. Tried the Big Breakfast once, I believe it was called. It came on 2 plates, eggs & toast on one plate & the biggest piece of peameal bacon Id ever seen! Couldnt finish it, even after riding 45 k.

I can t say enough good about this local favourite of mine! I especially love Kenzie, the hostess. She is always there to greet patrons with a smile and a kind word. The food is top notch- from the peameal bacon they are so well known for to their fluffy pancakes. The name country charm is perfect for this charming little gem of a restaurant in St. Thomas. Country Charm is a breakfast and lunch must-go to in St. Thomas! It is a family-run restaurant that is friendly, fast service and very clean. Absolutely the best breakfast choices, including g/f for all ages and appetites!

An amazing restaurant that s been a staple in the community for years. I strongly support this small business by a man of colour who has an exceptional place to visit, with good staff, fast food, and a good atmosphere. 5 stars isn t enough! Kudos for being a st Thomas must eat here restaurant!

We ordered a large breakfast and coffee. Everything was awesome. Bit on the high side price for coffee but it is very good and bottomless so considering all costs going up...this place is definitely not a disappointment. Will be back for sure. All quick friendly service too.

Always good food and lots of it. Never been disappointed here, mind you we normally only come for breakfast. I cant speak for the rest of the menu but the place is always packed.

Excellent service and food. Our breakfast was hot and delicious! Our coffee was topped up before we even asked. The line up out the door on a Sunday morning shows you just how good this food is. Don t let the line intimidate you- the hostess keeps things moving and the potion sizes leave you beyond full. We will definitely be back.

Dine-in space is pretty small, a bit over a dozen tables. Food selection was ok, but the menu wasn t descriptive as to what certain things were. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for things repeatedly but never got them. Overall you could just make the breakfast at home, wasn t unique. Unfortunately I don t think I ll go back. Also it s cash only, they have an atm on site but you should bring about $25 per person.

Been here many times now. Nothing fancy, but quality food with consistency. Service is always great, and the atmosphere is what is because of the all wood throughout / antiquated charm of the place. The thick cut peameal bacon is amazing!

Best place to get breakfast in my opinion and the service is wonderful.

My spouse and I love this diner! The staff is so, so lovely. Our regular order is the eggs benny and corned beef hash. Seriously, worth checking out! Please note that they accept cash only. While they do have an ATM, I recommend bringing cash rom home or your bank to avoid those pesky ATM fees.

Once again the Hungryman Special with 3 eggs and 3 thick pieces of peameal bacon hits the spot! Prices are great, quiet atmosphere, SD rules followed, and great service. Bring cash, its the Charm!

Love going for breakfast on a weekend. Drove all the way to Country Charm and we were not disappointed. Great service .great portions. We are coming back as long as the gas prices aren t to high lol.

This place has changed. I was Not impressed with their breakfast. As well as their coffee is gross! I used to love this place . The waitresses are Great! So, this is a cute little cafe that weve visited a few times now, and it has been pretty great each time. The serving staff are welcoming and attentive, and the overall ambiance really does have a country charm to it - so, its aptly named. We stopped in for pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, and were not disappointed. Fresh coffee, fluffy pancakes, light and airy scrambled eggs ... and a side of delicious baked beans - all quickly prepped and served with a smile. There is no shortage of local options for breakfast around town, but if you are a fan of homestyle cooking, you should put the Country Charm Cafe on your list - but just for breakfast and lunch ... they are not open for dinner.

Wow - this place is a great gem! We will most certainly be back when we are in the area again. The staff is warm and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. The food is delicious and the portions are generous! We felt that management takes health and safety seriously as there were partions between booths and there was sanitizer readily available.

Waitress was very nice, food was questionable. Eggs were great, peameal bacon was cut way too thick, sausages were slightly burnt, too heavy on the butter for the toast, and lastly cash only at this restaurant (yes even durring covid-19). you must pay a fee to use their ATM.

Best food in town

We went there for breakfast yesterday. Portions were great, as well as the food. They also have a gluten free menu which looked just as good as meal I had. Bring cash with you. Its really not that big of a deal. Their website states cash only, as well as the sign on their entrance. Theres an atm inside in case you forget. This place might be our new favorite Friday breakfast spot.
