We were there for lunch arriving at 12:30 about 10 minutes later another table came in. They ordered basically the same meal that we did and yet ours took over an hour to arrive there’s took minutes. The server was giving excuses, but he is not the fault. The fault lies in the kitchen the management whoever chooses whatgoes on. I don’t understand why the other table got their food almost immediately, which was the same order as ours and yet we had to wait for over an hour. Offering us a cup of soup, which was mostly macaroni just didn’t help the situation. I noticed there was another couple who waited equally as long as we did for their food. When you’re ordering the chicken meals, why is it? They don’t give you a side plate to put your bones on? They cram everything onto the smallest plate that they can and you’re supposed to figure out how to manage everything. The tables are not wiped with a cloth. They are wiped with the servers hand just brushing the crumbs off not very sanitary. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in there and I really do feel it’s going to be a long time again before I return to the Swiss Chalet. We were not able to leave until 2 o’clock. I think that’s a bit outrageous to walk in at 12:30 and not be ready to go until 2 o’clock when the biggest holdup is the Arrival of your plate of food. I felt terrible for the server, but yet there was no manager to come out and talk to us. No offer of a manager to talk to us not even that that would make a difference but that’s not the point. It’s gonna be a long time before I returned to their establishment.
Horrible experience for the 3rd straight time. The last time we ordered from this location we said that's enough but we decided to give it another try. Well you know how the old saying goes. 3 strikes and your out. Took 20 minutes to get our food. By the time we got home it was cold. The chicken was half the size of the small ones you get in the grocery store. I loved Swiss Chalet as a kid but it is not what it used to be. Will never eat here again but I will say thanks for the great memories (as a kid)
We like this Swiss Chalet much better than the one in our hometown. We arrived at 2 pm on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly busy! Everything was perfect, appetizer was delivered in good time and the main meal shortly after. Our waiter, who is from Turkey, is very good at his job. He made sure to refill our drinks and was checking on us in a timely manner. Keep up the good work!
Popped in for a quick lunch during the busy holiday season. We knew what to expect: Festive special; fast food speed but with table service; clean, comfortable surroundings. What we didn’t expect was how charming our server, Sinu, would be. His attention to detail really elevated our experience beyond the usual. We came in for a quick lunch and had a memorable experience instead.
I haven’t been to Swiss Chalet in years!! Went with a friend and had the 1/4 chicken dinner, spring rolls for an appetizer and a piece of lemon meringue pie! The server, Demir, was fabulous! He was right there when you needed, was very attentive without being annoying, super friendly and just overall awesome! It really was worth checking out again after all this time!!
We had a great experience with a very large team order. It was perfect! No mistakes. Delivered on time/a touch early. They even threw in some extra chocolates for the kids. Very great experience. I'm glad I called the restaurant in advance to speak with the manager. Would order from this location again 100%

A welcome change!! My daughter and I decided to try Swiss Chalet in St Thomas today. To set the story, I promised myself I'd never come back. I had been here twice before over the years and both times the food was horrible and the service matched the food. I heard that they were under new management so we thought we'd give them a chance to redeem themselves. Well they certainly did. When we arrived we were promptly greeted by a very lovely and polite hostess. She took us to our table, opened the menus for us, and explained the specials. Off to a great start. The server came right away and took our orders. We got the 2 quarter chicken deal for $19.99 and my daughter got pierogis too. The server was quick, super friendly and attentive. She came back in less than 5 minutes with our chicken dinners and another minute or so, the pierogies arrived. The food was super hot, flavourful and everything you would expect from Swiss Chalet. The fries are homemade and delicious. I have to say, this was one of the best Swiss Chalet experiences I've had. Glad I gave them another shot and will definitely be back. Giant kudos to the new staff and management.

My wife and I had lunch at the Swiss Chalet in St. Thomas Ontario Canada. Our servers name was SINU. His service was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of what was on the menu and checked back with us during the meal to ensure that all was well. Wow! Came in today after years of not visiting a Swiss Chalet and I have to say, the food and service is amazing! Sinu was a fantastic server; hit every step of service and was the perfect amount of attentive. It s so refreshing to have a server who is genuine, knowledgeable and clearly cares about giving quality service. Food was fresh and quick! Will be back!

Came here after reading that it had improved after new management. Sinu was a great waiter!! He was kind, quick and very attentive. The food has improved and had no complaints this time at all. The restaurant is also cleaner than it has been in visits past. Will definitely be back. The festive special is always delicious and not a disappointment tonight! Our food was delivered promptly and was very tasty. Our server,, Kiran, was very friendly and wanted to ensure that we had everything we needed. She provided us with excellent service.
We were forgotten about after we were seated. Too long to take our order. My chicken was dry. The tables werent cleaned as others all left. Nobody checked in while we were eating at all, so we couldn t get more drinks. And we were forgotten again so it took forever to pay. Then they added a $10 tip and didn t give us an option. And to add injury to insult, we all felt really sick afterwards. We won t return.

Myself, my husband, my 17 month old daughter, and my inlaws visited this afternoon for lunch. I just wanted to say what an excellent job Demir did. He was welcoming and attentive, and the extra care and attention for my daughter was very much appreciated. Besides bringing her a toy and things to colour with, it was the small things that you notice as parents...how he served everything with her safety in mind. My husband and I both mentioned to each other afterwards that we noticed how he positioned himself in a certain way when serving soups so there was no chance of an accident. We were very impressed with him.

We ordered crispy chicken caesar salad, which was nice. However its changed, since the last time we ordered it. It used to have two Caesar salad dressings and a lot more solid. This time it came only with one salad dressing and not very much salad. It did come with the crispy chicken, which was of good quantity. I should have known something was up, do the price had dropped. I would prefer it would go back to the way it was. Or have an option to pay more. I guess shrinkflation. We also ordered the quarter chicken with the half back ribs, that turned out great. So a little dismayed of the change, we will order again from Swiss Chalet but just a little upset about it. The staff here are always nice and friendly.

What a dump! Tile missing from the ceiling, we had to seat ourselves, not very busy when we went but service really slow and my drink came in a cracked plastic cup which leaked all over. *Since under new management the place has improved immensely.
