My husband and I both ordered the burger with fries. Both burgers were burnt on the outside and under cooked on the inside and a soggy bun. Only taste was the charred beef. Pretty horrible.
I always have a great time here. Especially on Friday Nights for Karaoke. Well known for their breakfast. Tuesday deals are my favourite with 3 Beef/Chicken Tacos for $9.99. Their burgers are amazing too. Their whole staff is polite, engaged and provide excellent service. You feel like family. Very clean, always stocked. Great place to spend time with friends or family to catch up or watch some games. Occasionally host live music on weekends as well.
Was staying in St.Thomas On for a couple weeks. Stopped by the Upper Deck for dinner last Wednesday. My husband and I LOVE a good burger - we are very particular and kind of tough critics. We ordered The UD burger and fries (by chance It was their Wednesday special - so price was also fantastic) It was by far one of the best cheeseburgers I have Ever had (and I’ve had a lot 😂) Outside was charred perfectly and the inside was so juicy and perfectly seasoned! They used good cheddar and a brioche bun and It came dressed with a yummy pickle, shredded lettuce and fresh tomato. I will Definitely be going back for another burger the next time I am In town. Owner was in the bar at the time, so after the waitress pointed him out, I went and told him just how much we loved the burger. He has been working on the perfect burger for a while now he said - I think He achieved It!!! Go in and try the burger!!!

Honest rating...0☆ For starters, we selected our table and sat down and began a conversation. Then we were asked to move for the karaoke dude. WE picked up our drinks etc and moved one table over. There were 4 in our party. And only a couple of smaller tables occupied. We order our food which was pretty simple. From the time of placing our order to being served it was about an hour. Meal 1 My husband ordered the 'funguy burger'. It was a mediocre burger. The fries were good. Meal 2 I order the chicken wrap with a garden salad. The wrap was bland to say the least. Basically iceberg lettuce and skimpy chicken. No evidence of dressing and there was no 'house blend cheese' in the wrap as stated in the menu. House salad was iceberg lettuce with a bit of red onion, green pepper and diced tomato. It was not a satisfying meal at all. Meal 3 'Club sammy' was barely toasted, and not assembled correctly, the tomato was mush, the chicken was tasteless and the ham was rather thick! He order extra onion which consisted of one outer ring of red onion and nothing more. AND the fries were missing. The presentation was less than appetizing! Meal 4 Was also a chicken wrap prepared the same as mine but with fries. This meal was served at least 5 minutes after the first 3 meals were served. The fries were hot but overcooked when it arrived! Good points...The beer was cold! The fries were hot, for those that got them with their order. Thank goodness for water cause the pop was flat. This was our second attempt to give them another shot after an extremely terrible experience last year. We will not return.
What an amazing find! We came in as a group of 15 and wow. Servers were right on drink orders! We were still coming in while the first of us were already getting drinks! Food was served as it was ordered and prepared. No complaints of," I ordered first but they got their food first!" It was awesome! Kim, our server, (please forgive me if I forgot your name). You were terrific! You kept everyone happy and we never had to look for service! I will be back!
My family and I are here for our son’s baseball tournament & according to the locals this is the place to be. We made reservations for our team, which was 42 and we certainly filled the space. I rather support a local business than a big corporate franchise. Unfortunately we were very disappointed, as I just think our group was far too large for what their staff could handle. Pretty sure the kitchen staff took a lunch break after they served 1/2 the group, the consistency of getting meals out was far from a timely manner. My kids had the good old chicken fingers and fries, my husband and I both ordered the fish tacos. They must have cooked and reheated our fried 4 times before they were served to us. Our fish tacos were made incorrectly, without slaw. Slaw makes the fish tacos, plain and simple iceberg lettuce just doesn’t do it. So I politely asked the waitress who was unfamiliar with the menu explain Slaw is only on Fridays. Thought that was writer but okay I went on my way with to go containers. Moments later, the waitress came back with apologies they just ran out. They were discounting my meal. Just my meal, not my husband’s. Even thought my husband also received the same. I’d suggest steering clear if you’re hoping for a good local pub.
Casual place to go to, but certainly, the place you want to make your regular spot for the chicken wings and beer.
Food has improved dramatically under new owners. Great spot.

I went into upper tonight to have a drink and do some karaoke I was served 1 drink and was declined service after 1 drink. But they will serve people that sit at their bar sleeping but won t serve me after 1 drink. I will not be back to upper deck

Breakfast was so so. Coffee was not very good, shedded potatoes had a strange taste, the bacon was greasy and not crisp as requested, and it took quite awhile to get our order. The temporary menus were just on paper and stained with food and coffee .very unappealing.
I go to the upperdeck quite often. Once or twice a week. They always make me feel special. I am alone so that means alot to me When the new management took over I thought I might lose that special feeling but they just increased the warm feeling of home for me. The food was good before changing hands and I must admit that I was skeptical of the change of menu. However the new menu is even better. The kitchen staff and chef also make it work well being friendly and welcoming not to mention the food tastes spectacular . I am never disappointed. I highly recommend the upperdeck from young to old. Fyi the waitresses also go out of their way to make everyone happy. Take it from this 70 year old young lady. Cheers ya all .

Ive eaten here twice now, Ive had the fish & chips, which was good but it was my more recent experience that has me HOOKED! Their menu is traditional sports bar/pub fare, that being said the Upper Deck Clubhouse sandwich was easily the BEST Clubhous sandwich Ive ever had! The atmosphere is fun, full of regulars, staff seem to genuinely enjoy working there! If youre looking for exceptional pub food with friendly service, and karaoke on a Friday, I highly recommend!

We went to Upper Deck Sports Bar and Grill last night for the first time in a while and were really impressed by the service and food. Place was busy but service was really efficient and friendly. Wings were great and bigger than most other places. Will definitely be going back.

Every time I try to order from this place, therecis always a problem. Either they dont have the food is on their menu or theyre closed at random times. I just tried to place an order and the guy who answered the phone told me that they are closed for a staff meeting to go over the new menu. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. They are supposed to be open until 11 and its not even 9:30. They clearly dont care about business. Im shocked that they are still in business. At the rate theyre going, they wont be in business for long.

My son and I went out for dinner and decided on the deck. Angelina, our server, let us know about the $8 burger and fries deal. We both decided on it. I had mine as it came , while my son had it with cheese. It was a very very good deal. It was a great burger, loaded with all the veggies. So very impressed.

UPDATE June 2023 ... Still the best breakfast in SW Ontario. Shredded hashbrowns are the best. Great food at good prices and fantastic service. Still the best breakfast within 150km radius. Real grilled, shredded hashbrowns. Best anywhere. Great coffee and I drink it black.

So my husband and I went here to hopefully find good nachos. However, we found the worst. The pictures online show nachos with real cheese but we got nachos with liquid cheese. The menu said veggies and if u want to add beef or chicken it is an extra cost. We didnt add the meat since it wasnt needed and Im a vegetarian and we were sharing....so much for that beef all over the nachos and veggies were seen in a few places. Sooo disappointed! The upper deck app platter was good however. The one and only waitress was slammed with a 90% full restaurant, so Im guessing that why I never got a drink refill like her regulars (which she knew by their names and drinks of choice.) I dont think we will back for a very long time.
Its a bar and eatery, its not very big inside. We usually go for the all day breakfast. The prices are decent and the food is good.

I love it here they have such good food amazing service and the waiters are amazing! Parking: There is pizza works and circle k beside it with some other areas and it is a little hard to fin parking but not to hard
Every time I have gone to Upper Deck, it has been a great time. Especially for karaoke!!! I enjoy going to watch/listen to all of the talented people who go there. The staff are always friendly, and the atmosphere is calm, happy, and fun.
Can t say enough good things about this place. The new owners are great, the food is amazing and the prices are unmatched. Definitely worth checking it out. 89 cent wings on Mondays and Thursdays and they re great. There s always a deal on though so you can t go wrong

Another fine gem of a restaurant in St Thomas. Its under new management and all the food is homemade and superb. The portions are big and I can tell you that no matter what you order you will leave satisified and full. Its a great Sports Bar to have a drink or a full meal with family and friends and watch sports in 1 of the 4 big screen tvs there.

This place is fantastic, the food is great, we mostly go for karaoke on Friday nights and its amazing, the karaoke dj is fun and keeps a good atmosphere that matches the energy of this small loved bar. Havent had a bad experience and we go fairly often!
Had to wait a full 40 minutes (yes I timed it) for the waitress to actually come take our order because she was too busy talking to other customers who she was friends with. Had to wait even longer to get the bill so we could leave. The food was sub par and a few of our fries were actually rotten and tasted so sour and bitter that I actually had to spit them out. If you go here and have Cristina as a waitress just walk back out the door

Awesome place in St Thomas ON. Just moved here from TO. I love it, staff are amazing. Portions are good, price are reasonable and quality are superb. Breakfast are also amazing very tasteful. We love coming here with my Family and Friends. The environment on this place is like family oriented and its amazing because the waitresses remembers your name specifically Jen and your not just one of the customer but one of their family. Cheers
The food wasnt cooked and the Waitress rude and slow. I couldnt tell the Waitress. she was busy talking to her coworker about her blood work and bowel screening.
That we went to upper Deck they did not serve breakfast when we were there so we changed our menu you couldnt even do that they were owed a lot of stuff and I dont think Ill be back there again my son my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter were there July 2nd so we end up going to Dennys which it was a good idea thats the first bad experience I had at upper Deck
I only go on Fridays for Karaoke, but the food is good and the service is amazing. Will check it out other nights.

Just celebrated my wife,s 65th birthday at Upper Deck. Had a group of 40 people. Everything was awesome! Thanks to Rick and staff - food, drinks, service and hospitality were top notch. Recommend using the Upper Deck for any type of social gathering in St. Thomas. Thanks again Brenda & Vince Penney

Always a great breakfast Unfortunately this time around it was the worst. Everything came to us cold. Always loved their hash browns but the last three times they were like chewing on half cooked rice. Undecided on a return. Service was excellent

Best wings at a reasonable!
Tried this place for the first time in 10 years. The waitress seated us and got us drinks right away, no complaints whatsoever with the staff. The food, however, could use a lot of work. I ordered medium wings, fries, and nachos for the hockey game. I asked for the fries extra crispy - they came soft and woukd bend over every time you picked one up. When I was a kid, I worked at a fry truck here in town, and you could definitely tell that Upper Deck fries were pre cut the day before and left in one of those big tubs. Definitely not fresh cut that day. The wings were even more of a let down. Barely sauced at all and had no flavour other then having been breaded and deep fried. The nachos were the only thing I put a dent in, did not eat the rest of the food. Another thing that was disappointing about the experience is, for a sports bar, you would hope for some variety - there were approximately 10 TVs in the bar, and every one of them was playing the Leafs game. I asked the server if it would at all be possible to change the tv closest to us to the Wings game, which she explained she was not able to do? We ended up going home to watch the game. There is a reason why there was less than 10 people in there that night If you re a Leafs fan and just looking for a drink, then this is your place If you re looking for anything more then that, look elsewhere. Upper Deck is not even worth trying, I will not be back.
Great steak for steak and eggs they can actually make it to order unlike other breakfast places but the hashbrown was kinda bland and cold highly recommend the home fries but other than that service was good would come back when in town again

It was ok. I ordered homefries and got hashbrowns and they tasted like nothing. Zero seasoning. Also was upcharged for rye toast and it wasnt even toasted

Last night was my first visit to the Upper Deck and I was extremely pleased with the food, but moreover, the service! Our servers name was Chelsea. She was so welcoming and hilarious! Will 100% be coming back for that experience, and bringing friends!!!
Absolutely the worst owner sitting at the end of the bar. We waited 45 minutes and still no food. Our drinks are empty and nobody around. One waitress eating at the window while we watch.

Upper deck has mastered the small town hangout place aesthetic. The food is great, and modestly priced, wait staff is friendly and even when it is the busier times of the day, they are fixated on making sure your experience is still positive. If youre looking for somewhere that is more laid back, and priced well, Upper deck is your go-to. Oh, and their all-day breakfast is the best.

The food is awful - super greasy fried food, rancid French onion soup, and not so fresh salads. Every time Ive gone, Ive been ill from the food. Its fine if youre just going for a beer, but otherwise, Id steer clear!

Food was good waitress was there in the first couple of minutes with coffee took our order and we had it in about 10 minutes not bad then more coffee I think they did a pretty good Job . One of the guys who was with us had half a rap left . The waitress asked if he wanted a box to put it in and then proceed to bring it . I feel the food and service was good and we will go back. The atmosphere was light and people friendly. What else could you ask for.
Came here for the wings, definitely was not disappointed. Wings are a good size, sauces are delicious, service was prompt and friendly. Good spot to go watch the game and have a bite and drink.
