Le Café Siam: Thai Cuisine is a family-run Thai restaurant, owned by two Thai royal-linage-brothers, James and Yoh, and their Canadian wives, Megan and Grace. Our passion for authentic Thai cuisine is deeply rooted in our heritage. Therefore we're all about preserving and sharing the rich flavors and traditions of Thailand. Every dish we serve is a testament to our dedication to authenticity. We are the ONLY restaurant in the area that crafts our dishes with homemade ingredients and the finest, most authentic elements like the holy basil. Our restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's an immersive cultural experience. The charming decor and our warm family members create an inviting ambiance, reminiscent of Thailand.
If you're looking for high-quality food, this is THE place. Authentic food that is made with fresh vegetables - by the time you're done, you'll be beyond satisfied and your stomach will certainly thank you. If you're from London or even further than London, take the drive to St Thomas - this food is 200% worth it. 👍
We loved Le Cafe Siam! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was extremely friendly, provided great recommendations and helpful in handling our 2 young children. The kids loved watching the resident fish. We will be back for sure.
I loved it. It was so mouth watering and beautiful 1 of my new favourite places to eat. I ordered the delicious pad Thai.
I was craving for Tom yum Goong soup. It was perfectly cooked. All veggie and shrimps were fresh. The service was great with a very sweet woman. Very recommended place.
Why is this establishment in St. Thomas, Ontario, rather than in the celestial realms serving the Gods? Regardless of the culinary genre, this hidden gem on Talbot Street epitomizes authenticity. Never before have I experienced cuisine with such a harmonious blend of flavors. The ambiance is both warm and inviting, with decor that is a feast for the eyes. The food is absolutely extraordinary, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in both preparation and presentation. My respect to the chefs is immense; it is abundantly clear that they are masters of their craft. I am utterly astounded and fervently recommend this restaurant to any aficionado of Thai cuisine. This is not your run-of-the-mill eatery; this is luxury gourmet dining at Kentucky Fried Chicken prices. The staff was exceedingly gracious, and even the ice cream seemed to be divinely inspired. Thank you for the wonderful time and experience good sirs and mams. I will be returning soon :)
I am compelled to write my first review after dining with Le Cafe Siam. Food was delicious and authentic, ambiance was tasteful and represents the rich culture, people who run this place are a lovely family who treat their customers with great warmth and hospitality. As Asians we struggle to find a good Thai place and this is the best spring roll and pad Thai we’ve ever had in our 5 years in Canada. James the co-owner & co-chef is super knowledgeable about Thai food and it’s history. He and his brother cook with love and hold a high standard of the food quality and authenticity without compromise. We ordered 4 dishes and another to take home. Will definitely be coming back.
Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Le Cafe Siam. The atmosphere was just right - the restaurant was perfectly lit, relaxing music playing overhead and just a hint of conversation from other patrons. We were seated promptly, and had a few moments to peruse the menu over drinks. From appetizers to our main course, the food was exquisite. Amazing care was put into every dish, and the tastes and flavors were so enjoyable. Due to traveling, my wife and I have dined out a lot over the past couple of weeks, but this by far was the best dining experience we have had. If you're in the London / St. Thomas area, do yourself a favor, and try them.
This was a perfect day-time getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. I went here for a lunch date with my wife and we both loved it. The restaurant is absolutely stunning inside with artifacts straight from Thailand. Tables for 2 with a window view of Talbot Street and a picturesque interior design. We spoke to the owner James and he told us all about coming from Thailand and importing all the designs and artifacts around the restaurant. The food was amazing. Very authentic and delicious. Hands down the best green curry I've had in Canada. After a great meal we tried to pay and the owner was apologetic because of a single missing ingredient from the meals we ate. Don't worry a single ingredient didn't change the outcome of the meal! The meal was amazing and I will definitely be coming back.
I often jump back and forth between this and the other thai place in town (lotus Thai). Both great restaraunts. My regular order is about the same price at both places. Cafe Siam: - the food tastes more authentic, slightly fresher - portion sizes are a bit smaller - more flavor Lotus Thai: - food is a bit more bland, more so the fried rice and pad Thai - larger portion sizes - spring rolls are the best - somewhat greasy compared to Siam If I had a choice I would combine Siams flavors and freshness, with Lotus Thais portion sizes and spring rolls. Both A+ in their own way
Have been hear several times, always excellent, I liked there old menu better especially there mussels #20, but there green curry is my new favorite
makes the best massaman curry, consistently good!
Hands down the best Thai food Ive had. I order take out from here every week. They are always friendly, timely and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
True hidden gem in such a small town! I had ordered Pad Thai (veg option) and I loved everything about this place! Must try if you live around or just passing by. Personally, it was worth the drive of 50 km two-way. Parking: 2 hrs parking on street from Mon to Sat until 06.00 pm.
Best place to eat in St Thomas! Highly recommend the yellow curry with tofu and jasmine rice 10/10
Stopped in on an unassuming Tuesday and was treated to a fabulous dinner and a surprising dessert! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted even better .how is that even possible?! Thank you for the great evening!!
Always great, wonderful family business. Support local
As a big fan of Thai food, this restaurant is absolutely amazing!!! 5 stars
Very great.
Delicious meal served quickly. Their pad thai was so fresh! The green curry was beautifully balanced with spice and flavour. We will definitely be returning!
Excellent Thai cusine, and amazing staff. My favourite dish is the pinapple rice.
I love this place! The food is really good, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful dinner! Troy Food : 4/5
We had a fantastic lunch here with delicious food, friendly staff. Red curry is good with shrimp and basil fried rice is one of good recommendation for you all.
Super tasty Pad Thai
Some of, if not THE best Thai food I ve had outside of Thailand. Very authentic dishes. The Pad Thai and the Massaman are outstanding. Looking forward to trying other dishes. Panang is next. Atmosphere is very nice and the service is excellent in this small, family-run affair. I don t think St Thomas knows what kind of gem they have here.
Always love going to Le Cafe Siam, this time we had the drunken noodle and peanut Thai curry, both very delicious.
Always spectacular! Great, authentic food and a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff.
Very authentic homemade tasty and delicious cuisine
Le Cafe Siam is absolutely worth the drive from NW London, and beyond, I think! Delicious food and fantastic service
authentic Thai cuisine - small, intimate space. Great service
What a beautiful experience, Grace was so gracious and made me feel so special walking in. I ve ordered takeout before and the food is always amazing and today was my first dine in experience and it was so so lovely. Thank you very much!
I love it here it is the best!!! Try the garlic pepper stir fry and the herbal salad!!! Food
Great food, service and staff Friendly atmosphere Food
Really friendly staff. Very good food. Corkage fee of 15.00 - byob totally worth it.
The green papaya salad is incredible. All the food is great, but that is my favorite dish
Food & service outstanding. Had 4 meals recommended & all unbelievable Food
Fresh cook food, the best
I took my family out here for lunch. The service was great. Owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. Real authentic Thai food! Would highly recommend
Had lunch here yesterday. Small restaurant but atmosphere was lovely. We had stir fry with jasmine rice. Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend Food : 5/5 | Service
Great Valetines dinner. Food wonderful and hot. Only one waitress. She was swamped. Courses were brought out to soon. Entre served before we finished appetizer!
My husband and I had dinner tonight at Cafe Siam. Everything was delicious. We had shrimp wraps as appetizer, mushroom and scallions with shrimp over jasmine rice, and shrimp pad thai. Can never have too much shrimp! There was not a dessert menu but Grace said the chef would make something he had been trying out which was vanilla ice cream infused with whiskey topped off with little candied medallions of his creation (I can t remember her exact description). So uniquely tasty. We loved it. Cozy atmosphere for intimate dining. Great service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
One of the best Thai restaurant I have every been to!
The best Thai food in town. Great service.
What an absolute gem hidden in St Thomas I highly advise you ask for the traditional pad thai soon to be permanent on their menu. Amazing ingredients amazing flavor the right portions not shy to pack your meal with high quality toppings and protein The decor is very cozy yet rustic and cool to see the thai-esque feel. Will definitely come back again and again
First time dining in today. Restaurant was beautiful and cozy inside. Staff was friendly and super helpful when choosing our order. Ordered the Authentic Pad Thai which is the best pad Thai Ive ever had! Looking forward to many more meals here! Parking: Street parking in front. Possibly parking available at rear but Ive never needed it as street spots are always available. Kid-friendliness: Has an upscale feel to it but its a family run business and sometimes their young daughter makes an appearance for a super cute mid meal interlude haha!
Great spot, not very intimate dining room but great food, service and tea. Highly recommend.
My husband and I went to Le Café Siam last night for the first time and we were very impressed. It is a cute, cozy place, very intimate and romantic and nicely decorated. The owners brought a small piece of Bangkok in our St.Thomas town. Service was impeccable; Grace and Megan were wonderful, quick, polite, patient and most importantly, they knew their food ! We were indecisive due to the many options they have, and we went with what it was suggested: amazing ! Very tasty, ton of flavors it reminded us the time spend in Thailand. The food is very authentic ! We are already planning to go back and try different things. See you soon. Thank you for accommodating us on a busy night. Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant.
Me and Wife went there for dinner I got super joyful when we finished our dinner. It s really feels like home Thank you so much
Food was delicious! Great spot for Thai food. Parking: Free 2-hour parking on the street out front if you can find a spot. There were lots of open spaces when we went for lunch during the week. Food : 5/5 |
The food was amazing and the staff were so nice.
The food is amazing. The restaurant is really small. But The cook is super talented. Mmmmm so tasty. Our favorite red curry and pad Thai.
Honestly the best Thai food anywhere except maybe Thailand. Everything is made completely fresh to order and takes time accordingly. I have never had a dish I didnt like and portions are great for their price. I make the drive from London just for the food despite their being passable (but not great) Thai in London.
Great food and atmosphere.
There was a large group of us that came for dinner last night. I ve never had Thai food before and was very impressed! I had the Drunken Noodle with beef and now want to try everything. The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely incredible and the restaurant itself is so beautiful and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved this place! The moment my wife and I walked in the atmosphere was lovely and warm. Beautiful antiques and friendly staff. The food was amazing and really really good! If you are looking for authentic thai cuisine I 100% recommend this place!
What a great experience. Small well decorated restaurant, great service. And cannot say enough great things about the food. First visit but we will definitely be back
Order the coconut rice
I had to update my review because my family and I have been coming here for years! This is the only place to go for Thai food. The food is always delicious and fresh, the quality is second to none. Everything on the menu is delicious, Ive tried probably 85% of the menu. My favorites are the spring rolls, papaya salad, green curry, and green curry fried rice (yes i love green curry). The owners are wonderful. They always put a smile on my face with their delicious food AND humor. They also really care about and support the St. Thomas and surrounding community. We will keep coming back for years to come.
First time food was good. Second time the 2 curry dishes were horrible. They were so watered down they had zero flavour and were undercooked, the veggies were still raw. The hot sauce was so salty I vomited. Not sure if its worth trying again. What really sucks is first time was not bad.
Great food and a cozy place.
This was one of the most delicious Thai meals I ve had in 25 years!! I ll be telling everyone and I ll be back, likely too many times!!
Every dish has its own sauce unique to that dish. Absolutely delicious!!
We had take out. The flavor was good but the ingredients of the meal were less than appealing... We ordered red curry and the only vegetable was slices of mostly green and some red peppers that were uncooked. We were very disappointed. It came highly recommended but now apparently new owners have changed the menu. We will not eat here again.
Le Cafe Siam never disappoints. I ve brought many family and friends here over the last 15 years and not one of them had a bad experience. Favourite dish is yellow curry. Nice light sweet flavour with a kick. You can also bring your own wine to the restaurant. I ve been to plenty of other Thai restaurants in Canada and this one takes the cake.
Wonderful food and service. Everything is fresh and the portions are very generous.
What a beautiful quaint place with food that was bursting with flavours!! Besides the dishes we ordered the Chef also provided free of charge a delicious bowl of soup to offset the saltiness of our order. Great service and great family!! Thank you!!
Excellent service! We were visiting the town and came across this little gem.
Absolutely incredible intimate vibe, decorated in authentic feudal Japanese antique armour and weaponry. Very unique. Very cool. And very delicious. The food is as authentic as the people who own and operate it. Among our favorite places to go, and by far some of the best food in town! Highly recommended.
Our team of 12 ordered take out for a dinner meeting we had last week. Each month we choose a different independent restaurant in the city. Supporting local is important to us. Le Cafe Siam will definitely be on our repeat list. Everything was perfect! Our large order was filled with care and enthusiasm. The food was absolutely delicious and all 12 meals were devoured. The service was amazing. You can tell that their little restaurant is their pride and joy. From the smiles on their faces and their warm demeanour; to the delicious, well executed dishes on their menu, Le Cafe Siam truly cares about your dining experience with them. If you haven t been, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Le Cafe Siam, we will be back! First Optometry Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy but am unable to have a lot of the dishes (shrimp, shrimp paste etc). They took the time to ask me what I liked and customized a dish to suit my needs. They also suggested a dish I could try in the future. Thank you for truly listening and for treating my allergy as a creative challenge instead of a nuisance.
Our first visit to Le Cafe Siam, wow, what a great little restaurant. From the moment we entered the restaurant. We were welcomed by our waitress. She was very knowledgeable on the food and drinks. Told us about some of the local craft beers they had available and gave us some information on the food and they could add or take away from some of the dishes if we didnt like something. We ordered Spring rolls for an appetizer, Cashew Chicken for one of the mains and the other main was Tropical fried rice, plus a side order of coconut rice. Everything was delicious. The service was also perfect, very attentive but not in your face. This will not be our last visit.
Awesome little place! Very tasty.
Ordered pad Thai and a Curry dish. Pad Thai nodes seemed like they were cooked fresh. The Currey dish had an abundance of zucchini and lacked a variety of other veggies. Service was okay. Say a young child leave the kitchen with no shoes on. Concerning. Room for improvement
Le Café Siam is absolutely fantastic, highly recommend dining here. Hard to pick a favourite as they are all good!
Everything from the table, to the service, to the food was awesome. We had green and yellow curry, spring rolls, fries rice and coconut rice. Who could forget the delicious soup? Everything was incredible. Thanks for a great date night with my Leanne DeLouw
We ordered pineapple curry with pork, served with rice. It was delicious!
I ordered pad thai last night and it was beyond! Lots of flavour in each bite, unlike other places. The tofu was cut up small, so each piece was flavourful and had a nice crispy outside.
The food is always excellent. Fresh, flavorful, with generous portions. Great service without being intrusive. Highly reccomend. Dietary restrictions: One of our number is allergic to garlic.
Nice atmosphere, tasty food, great service!
Great selection of thai food. Decent portions. Pad See Ew was really good. Very kind staff, wonderful interior
This family owned Thai restaurant is the best Thai food Ive ever had, and I eat lots of Thai food. Everything is so fresh and top quality, flavours are unbelievable. St. Thomas has a hidden gem that people should know about. Vegetarian options: They cater to vegan and vegetarian and make your dining experience enjoyable.
Absolutely awesome food and service!
Cafe Siam is a gem in St-Thomas. Great service, Amazing food and the atmosphere is awesome. We are never disappointed and will keep going back for sure.
This place is so good that I always give carte blanche to the chef and he makes whatever he wants. Its sooooo good. Its the only place I order from and it always blow my mind.
A hidden little gem!
Le Cafe Siam is the best restaurant in St. Thomas. I ve had Thai food in many different major cities and nothing compares. The flavours are impeccable. Whether you dine in or take out, you will not be disappointed. This family run restaurant cooks with all their heart and it shows.
Beautiful family-run restaurant. The food is excellent. Theyre very knowledgeable about allergens and happy to modify dishes as needed.
I get takeout every time I drive through St. Thomas. The green curry is amazing!
The atmosphere here is absolutely beautiful, and very traditional. Our group was in awe of this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredible. Highly recommend the Iced Thai Tea and Pad Thai, although we shared several dishes and they were all wonderful!
Good small atmosphere.the thai tea and spring rolls were amazing. I ordered the papaya salad and it was bland and had no spice to it. The curry was a bit bland and the pad Thai tastes like it was just fried in soy sauce and oyster sauce with no tamarind paste. Authentic atmosphere but not the food. All the authentic thai flavours ( lemongrass, chillies, galangal, tamarind etc) were just water down and bland. Definitely catered to the Caucasian crowd. i should have known since i was the only Asian in the restaurant the whole time. Stil on the quest for authentic Thai food in SWO.
This place, is like home. I ve gone to Le Café Siam: Thai Cuisine for over 15 years. I can t say enough about it. I ve tried a lot of their dishes over that time - and I don t think I can say one bad thing about the food, company, or staff. All of the books, history and stories. They have real items decorated all over the restaurant from Thailand. We re so lucky to have a place like Le Café Siam in St.Thomas - and I feel like there s still a lot of people that need to experience the culinary abilities that go on in the kitchen. Feels like you ve travelled across the world. I ve even gotten my wife now onto it, and she s super picky especially with different/unique dishes. One of her favourite dishes is glass noodle & yellow curry powder. She mostly orders it with an add on of shrimp. It s her go to. She also likes the soups, and shrimp wraps. And for myself, my most popular are Pad Thai, Soya-sauce & Chinese broccoli noodle, any of their curries, apps and soups. When I was younger we would always get Cashew Chicken, and coconut steamed rice. I wish I had pictures from everything I ve had. I usually dig right in and forget when it s too late to even think about it. Everything that they do, is done in house and authentic as it can possibly be, fresh daily And that s really hard to find, especially for the price. This place is truly a gem. 10/10. Pictured is the Pad Thai added shrimp, Chicken wings, and hand rolled spring rolls.
Fantastic Thai food made by passionate cooks.
Best thai food in town. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend and will continue to return.
Ordered for pick up, got the Pad Thai and papaya salad. Quality and taste was exceptional. Authentic and mouth watering. Service was fantastic as well. This will be my go to in the area. Better than most places in the GTA! You re missing out if you have not tried this gem.
Best authentic Thai food I have ever had . Very friendly staff This place is a gem !!!
Best food in St. Thomas.
Folks, the food is positively superior, and the place is a real asset to St. Thomas.
I was traveling through from out of town. They had empty tables in their dining room but refused to serve me in the restaurant. I asked if I could order take out and sit down at one of their tables and eat it. No. I was given no reason other than they didnt feel like it. Based on the other reviews their food must be very good. Its a shame this hospitality business no longer offers any hospitality. I am leaving St. Thomas feeling unwelcomed with no desire to come this way again.
Best Spring rolls I ve ever had! Pad Thai and curry is out of this world!! Worth the wait!
Fast and delicious local Thai joint
What a rare beautiful gem this family run business is. Such a welcoming environment with kind staff aaaaaand the most amazing food. We will be back again and again.
Best Thai food in SW Ontario
Edited: I had an issue during my visit and it was quickly resolved. Excellent customer service and food at this establishment. Looking forward to my next visit.
Outstanding food!
Delicious! Highly recommend the Pad Thai and coconut rice!
I started out last year wondering about this place. My wife and I would always talk about it, but we never ordered. We decided to take the plunge one day and got their Pad Thai. It was hands down the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten. They have a good lengthy menu, so we have worked around it a little bit and have yet to be disappointed. The wife and I agree, the Number 41 dish is amazing! We won t go anywhere else for Thai. I can t wait until the day Covid is gone, or non existent so they can open up Dine In! One word of advice. If you want to get food from here. Call when they open as they get slammed pretty quickly! Will be back time and time again! Thanks Le Cafe Siam Family for always making our experience the best it can be! We went back again! Tonight we were invited to Le Café Siam: Thai Cuisine for dine in! They open in about 2 weeks or so for dine in for anyone wondering. (I think James Issara just wanted some practice) His daughter was our lovely waitress as you ll see in the pictures! (Posted with permission) Kept us smiling! We had planned to get out for our anniversary dinner for the last month or so, but had been super busy. Where to start? We started with Chicken Satay - Chicken Strips skewered and grilled, topped with a peanut sauce and served with a dipping tray. This was one of my wife s favourite appetizers! The peanut sauce felt so fresh and inviting and really popped with flavour! Very enjoyable! Saltyish with a hint of sweet in my opinion. We also got Kai Tod - Small Chicken Wings deep fried with herbs and garlic! It came with a Thai sweet and hot sauce. The wings were crispy, and succulent and the dipping sauce paired very nicely with them! We would get both of them again! From there we moved to the main course and decided to branch out a bit. My wife got the Pra Rama Lhong Song (Rama in the River) - it was a Sweet and salty sauce with rice (rice scooped in) and Broccoli and peppers. I enjoyed it, but maybe found it a bit sweet. (We switched meals) My wife was eyeing my Pineapple Curry with Pork. She found it quite delicious and that s why we both agreed to switch. I found it too sweet for me. It was still very good, all of it! James made our favourite for us to have/take home. The 41! Some even call it the 21! Whoon Sen Pad Phong Karee - which in English translates to Deliciousness. Just kidding! It should though! We got it with Pork and Shrimp. Utterly amazing! James and Megan Issara came out with Dessert after! Donuts with a condensed milk and it was warm, light and paired perfectly with the Chai Tea which was served warm and I thought was utterly amazing! Sweet and warm in a cool night with window seats! What more could you ask for in a cozy shop that has been revamped? Beautiful floors, new table tops, decor showing the beautiful Thai heritage. 100/10! When you get a chance, don t delay! Book those reservations. it s about the only way you ll get a spot! Let me tell you! It s worth it!!
Best Pad Thai in St Thomas! :)
Had are here multiple times and never had a bad meal. Covid has changed things to take out only and great service. Suggest to call ahead if you want meal at a certain time. Awesome family own business.
This is the best Thai I have had since leaving Vancouver.
Fantastic Thai food in downtown St. Thomas believe it or not! The best Thai food anywhere around here and London! There vegetables are always fresh, we love their curries. Coconut rice is super tasty! Big portions and great prices! Oh, and their Tom Yum soup is very unique and packed with different flavours!
Let me start by saying this is hands down the best Thai food I have had since I lived in Markham or Vancouver. My husband and I had tried this restaurant once years ago when we first moved to the area and had been wildly underwhelmed wth the rather... Westernized food. However we noticed tonight that their menu seemed to have changed since the last time we tried it, and we decided to try it again. We were certainly not disappointed! The food was delicious (and beautiful) as well as being far more authentic than anything else I have been able to get in the area. My husband I and had the red and yellow curries respectively, and both were delicious (though I would say there was far less heat than I am used to. I may ask if I can get things spicier next time) The service was very helpful and polite, and the covid pickup was streamlined and easy! I would definitely say if you are in the London area and craving some good Thai food, this is the place for you!
Visited on a recommendation from a friend from London whos spent time in Thailand, and who goes to St Thomas for take away. Ordered pad Thai, yellow curry, satay chicken, spring rolls, and beef with broccoli and oyster sauce, and it was beyond expectations. We will be back. THANK YOU!!
Hands down the best place for a meal in town. You should eat with a few people so that you can try more dishes! All of the curries are great!
They made a fundraiser for our local outreach and I had the opportunity to taste one of their take out dishes, Holy Basil Pork with a side of rice and a bit of veggies. It was absolutely delicious! When my husband went to pick up our order he was very impressed with the friendly owner who is also a collector. We cant wait for things to open up so we can dine in!! Highly recommended.
Had takeout. Food fantastic, good portions, warm and on time. Its a nice place also. Good job!
Had the shrimp pad thai tonight. It was absolutely amazing! Super authentic taste and you can tell that it was lovingly made. We love supporting our local talented chefs like James! We will be back again and again!!
best ever.
Love their massaman curry. Awesome pad Thai. Highly recommended.
Excellent Thai - vegetables are very fresh and a nice change of pace if you re staying in port Stanley, worth the 15 min drive.
First, I wish I had taken better pictures but when I smelled the food, I just couldn t focus! Let s start with the Coconut Rice, which is made perfectly with the right amount of stickiness and a hint of fresh coconut. The moment we opened the box, the fresh sweet smell of coconut burst into the air and filled the house. It was fluffy with the right amount of sweetness just a savoury wonderland on its own. Second, let s talk about the Pad Thai boy am I glad that this is the second time I ve ever had Pad Thai in my life and it was a heavenly experience! The peanuts are so fresh, they burst out too when you open the box! The aromas, the flavour, the onions, the noodles, down to the smallest detail was truly wonderful. I am not exaggerating! Last but absolutely not least and incredibly highly recommended and an absolute must try is the Kang Supparod Pineapple Curry Oy Vey! Now I know for a fact that I have to travel to Thailand to try their food in person because this curry alone had a world of flavours that is far to amazing to be able to put in words. I could probably just eat that for the next 20 years and be the happiest person on earth. Great job! The hype is real, this is THE spot for Thai food in Southern Ontario. Highly recommended and I will 100% return to try every single thing on their menu. Great job!
Love the Pad Thai, green curry and chicken satay. Everything made fresh to order makes things slower than elsewhere, but it is worth the wait.
Ive eaten here a few times and the food is outstanding but the man who took my order was incredibly rude and even raised his voice at me over the phone. Unfortunately I wont eat here again.
In my opinion, the best Thai food in Canada. Definitely in my top 5 restaurants. My partner and I have been to Thailand, learned to cook the food and I can safely say that this is the definition of real Thai food. If you havent tried it, get the massaman curry. You wont regret it. The service is prompt and when it isnt busy, they are usually happy to tell the stories of the dishes. When its busy, they arent as warm, but Ive never been treated with anything less than respect. To be honest, they could do everything but spit on me and I would still eat here, the food is THAT good.
Best Thai food Ive had... And Ive had a lot of Thai food. Very reasonably priced.
Hands down the best Thai food around. It is the only reason to head to St. Thomas! The food is incredible and the wait staff are very friendly and care about each patron.
Excellent food and friendly service.
Authentic, delicious food prepared and served by people who cared! Everything we had was excellent!
Have been there for both lunch and dinner. Nice quiet atmosphere and excellent Thai food. Cashew chicken and coconut rice are my favourite but many great choices. Licenced.
This was our first and last experience at Le Cafe Siam. The food is fresh, delicious and authentic thai food, but the service is SO terrible which is a deal breaker for us. To keep it simple for anyone else, do not try to customize your dish in any way, shape or form. What you see on their menu is what you get and if you have any food allergies or an intolerance to spicy food, we highly recommend going elsewhere because they do not care. We called two days ahead and we had to call 17 different times before someone answered.
I miss this place most of all! So delicious every single time I ve visited the restaurant or ordered take out. The people are pretty great too.
Amazing
Delicious food, large portions, and great prices! Highly recommend!
Fantastic Thai food and great service.
I never expected to find this delicious and authentic Thai cuisine in St.Thomas. Would definitely recommend!
The red head in the kitchen was great server and cook...FLAME ON!
Excellent food and service!!!
Amazing food. It is hard to get a seat without reservations and this is because the food is so good. But you can order take out.
Great food and service the Menu is here under the title Menu!! (Some one said there is no menu)
Love this place. Great food, Great staff. Great portions no matter if you are eating in out taking out. Would highly recommend this Restaurant.
We were just here again last night. Cafe Siam never fails to be amazing. It is by far our favourite spot in town to eat. You could pick anything off of the menu and not go wrong.
The food is fantastic but you need a reservation to dine in as the place is very small. Massaman curry and the satay skewers in particular are exceptional. It was such a pleasant surprise to find such a high quality restaurant in our small city.
Always a great meal. Family owned and they do an excellent job. Keep up the great work Yoh and staff
Incredible pad Thai! Excellent food reasonably priced! Excellent service! Restaurant is a little dated and dark but over all a great Dining experience
Cafe Siam was excellent
Absolutely loved this place! The food is authentic, delicious and the owners are very nice. Make sure you reserve ahead of time as tables fill up fast.
Absolutely delicious food! Ive never had anything that wasnt amazing! The staff/owners are lovely people and the restaurant is beautiful! Definitely my favourite eatery in St Thomas, if not all of North America. I havent had Thai food better than theirs anywhere Ive gone and I try Thai in pretty much every city I go to. Cannot give it a high enough rating.
Yummy.
Panang is delicious!
Serves was good. And Friday.
This was our first visit since moving to St. Thomas. The staff was super friendly, helpful and attentive and the food was DELICIOUS! The reviews are great and we were NOT disappointed! Cant wait to go back. PS...the restaurant is very small and they JUST had enough room for us but we were recommended to make a reservation if we want to come Friday or Saturday since they are very busy. Cant wait to go back!
Delicate flavours, well presented and fresh ingredients. You could really tell that the chef cared about what they were preparing. We really enjoyed our meal as well as our young daughter.
Great authentic Thai food and great service in St Thomas. Food is easily as good as Pai or Khao San Road in Toronto. Good portions, very well spiced. Everything tasted fresh and appealing. I would recommend to anyone in the London/St Thomas area.
Slow service but the food was very good!
Loved it!!
Cafe Siam does not water down their food to local taste buds. Yes, they have adjusted some, but not enough to remove from the awesome Thai cuisine. James is very chatty, and we often learn something new about Thailand each time we walk in. Its a great family run business, and you can definitely have a taste of who they are through their great food!
Food was excellent as usual. We were discussing how disappointed we are whenever trying Thai food elsewhere. Ill always recommend this restaurant!
The best Thai place in the region. the type of quality one only gets in a bug city. The red curry is the best we ever had. Amazing place.
We have eaten here often over many years. Just returned from a two week trip to Thailand where we toured a large portion of the country and ate in many restaurants, both ritzy and ordinary. Cafe Siam is indeed authentic Thai cuisine and every bit as good (maybe better) as anything we enjoyed in Thailand.
Excellent
The food was sensational! Very tasty! I will definitely be going back there!
Love this place, great atmosphere, food and staff.
This place has the best Thai food around!!
The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. It can get real busy fast so I would definitely recommend that you make reservations, especially if you have a larger group. The staff are genuinely interested in your enjoyment. Definitely a good place to take your date to... You will not be dissapointed with that decision.
Great food and fantastic service! Even our 2 year old loved it! So glad you had room for us on short notice!
I ordered a take out meal picked it up and was driving home and realized I did not ask for gluten free. We have a family member gluten free and my meal all had gluten in it. Let Cafe Siam sent free of charge a gluten free meal delivered to my home. Great food and great customer service. Thank you
Excellent authentic Thai food!
Amazing Food! This is the most authentic Thai food you can get in SW Ontario. The owner/servers are so friendly and accommodating when it comes to choices. Vegan, Vegetarian, extra spicy, NO PROBLEM. I just love Le Cafe Siam. If you want to have Friday or Saturday take-out dinner make sure you call early. Quite often it gets so busy that they just cant fit in any more take-out orders. Which is a bummer, but just goes to show you how AWESOME the food is.
Fantastic quality food and the staff are very friendly. Try to make a reservation as the place is usually full.
Excellent
Unbelievably delicious! The satay chicken skewers were a song in my mouth!! A must visit!!
Le Cafe Siam is my most favourite restaurant of all time. Their cashew chicken and coconut rice are to die for. But I have also tried some of their other dishes and not one fails to satisfy. And, comparatively, the price range is very reasonable for such quality food. Just make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. Due to the fact that they are a favourite restaurant for alot of people, the facility is often filled to capacity.
Great Thai but a little claustrophobic.
Their food is absolutely delicious! They have gluten free, and also vegetarian options. I spent 7 months in Thailand, and the food brings me back to my favourite restaurants there. Their Masaman curry is the best Ive ever had, and their sweet and sour Tofu is absolutely scrumptious. Would highly recommend.
Food is amazing, but their service has taken a huge dive after their main front end server left. I dont know who the guy is who has had to take up the role now, but he wasnt meant to work with customers. Hes like a less talkative Soup Nazi.
Food has always been great here.
Did. Not. Like. it.
The yellow curry chicken with coconut rice is to die for. My new fav food!
