Food is okay but what s going on with the service? I ve been here twice and the staff are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I rarely leave reviews but I m genuinely shocked.

I have ordered alot of great food from Lotus Thai on my way home or had it delivered, there food is fantastic, the Pad Thai is so delicious and the folks who run this restaurant are fantastic every time...I get my food on time and hot, thank you for making my dinners incredible

Just moved to St. Thomas and so happy we saw Lotus Thai at the market this morning. It looked so good and we ordered it for our fathers day dinner. Everyone loved it. The food tasted great, the portion sizes were the perfect and very prompt service/ delivery. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food everytime

My first time ordering from Lotus Thai. I ve been missing out. I picked up the all day special Thai cashew with chicken. The portions were good and the price was fair. Considering the price of the all day special is on par with a fast food combo but gives you more filling food of a far higher quality makes this place a go-to for everyone. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Impressive me when I just look at outside of the restaurant. We got meals for 2 people. I wish the mango salad they could cut it smaller. And this is weird version of mango salad I ever eat in my life.pad Thai is good. Spring roll and wonton a bit greasy but tasty. But my curry is shame. Sticky coconut rice was too wet already and on top of it is all salty curry.it very salty I cant even take 3rd spoon. Let the girl know already hope it just one time mistake from the kitchen. UPDATED: This is ridiculous. First time I have to update my review just because of the responses. I dont ask because when I come to restaurants, to try what is original from the restaurant and I give feedback as my opinion of myself. How I know it big or med or tiny to ask to cut it smaller or thicker. And u said it not enough for me to take it home???? If u say that dish it not enough. It mean u serve me something smaller than usual. Because I dont have to lie about the salty dish (which as I already said it may be a mistake from the kitchen) missing only 3 spoons. 1 from me and 2 from my bf. He tried for 2nd time but give up with saltiness. And we dont even want to send it back to the kitchen never. Its is just an experience. We order and willing to pay what we called. And that time no one comes to ask if everything ok like they always, or ask do I need to go box because we leave a table and pay in the front so how someone can see my table and think it ok to leave like that????? . I understand working in a restaurant is very stressful and being busy in the kitchen may have a lot of mistakes. but make it fun of my word and say something it not true that I dont agree with. I give a review as my opinion to improve to better with all kind of customers. If u dont want to take my opinion or we as customers. It totally fine also.

I often get takeout from Lotus Thai. It s always great! My favourite is the pho soup and the way they package the takeout is very thoughtful and ensures it makes it home safely without spilling.

I had my first experience at lotus Thai last week. My friends told me you have the best food. I came in at lunch to pick up, was waiting behind a lady picking up hers. The lady asked the girl behind the counter if so and so ( not naming so and so) was working? She looked at her so rude and said do I look.like so and so it came out rude as well. Then the girl that works there was telling a little girl that she stinks and to tell her mom she needs to use the washroom . No one would speak to my child like that The food was amazing but I only gave a 3 star because of the girl behind the counter. Ill try another time at night when someone more pleasant is working.

Delicious food! I ordered take out. Ordered the Massaman curry and the Beef Pho. Simply delicious! So much flavour. I also ordered the banana chips and those were so tasty I wish I bought more. I will be back here again to try more dishes!

I LOVE this place. The pad Thai is always amazing and it s the best won ton soup ever. They re always friendly and helpful. And their delivery man, Adam, is just fantastic. Always quick and polite.

It gets quiet when food for my hubby and I is served because its too delicious to talk. This is a trusted restaurant for gluten free dishes. Every item on the menu tastes so-o-o-o good, lots to choose from, and its always a generous portion. The atmosphere is excellent. Its never too loud to talk quietly. The owner and her staff are all on it, they never leave you wanting. I absolutely recommend Lotus Thai. The prices are quite reasonable, dine in or take out no disappointment expected. Oh, and what a friendly place! Thank you to who we see the most, Pom, Pete, and Karen~ Dietary restrictions: Nearly all dishes are or can be gluten free. Parking: Theres always space to park on the street directly in front of the restaurant, or we could park in back.

Have never done dine in before but have ordered takeout on three occasions. Last time, I ordered the Pad Thai and its honestly the best Pad Thai Ive eaten, in at least 10 years! Even reheated the next day it is simply fabulous!!!!

Just moved to town and this has been hands-down our favourite place to go to. Weve ordered twice now and the food has been super fresh and delicious both times. Would definitely reccommend Lotus Thai to anybody looking for a tasty meal!

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in St. Thomas. Ive been working my way through the menu and thus far everything has been delicious, with the curries being my favourite. Something about their blend is just to die for!! Orders are always available promptly, usually ~15 minutes.

I orders food for delivery, they were pretty busy but the delivery driver delivered my food fast, was very professional and friendly. Would definitely use their delivery service again.

We eat out a lot and have eaten at many different ethnic restaurants. And I can tell you this, that at this Lotus Thai restaurant will be the best food youll ever eaten at!!!! Absolutely love this restaurant. You have to try this place.

Food is absolutely delicious! We order from Lotus Thai each time we get together to scrapbook and its one of the highlights for everyone -especially those coming from out of town. Last time, we ordered 18 meals and it was fantastic! The chicken pad Thai combo is the most popular in our group. And the spring rolls and sauce are like candy theyre so good! Highly recommend for eat-in and take out. Vegetarian options: Options are available Dietary restrictions: Are very good you not include peanuts or to exclude a particular ingredient for one dish.

We love Lotus Thai, Pete and his wife and the team make each one of our visits whether dine in or take out special! We love we can have GF options available with our allergies and absolutely love the Pho soup! It is one of my favourites, I think I could eat it daily! Vegetarian options: Yes there are lots of Vege. options. Dietary restrictions: Can accommodate our GF and Dairy Free needs and we have enjoyed many meals without issues. Parking: Lots of street parking available and close by. The best Thai restaurant! The food is so delicious. I never been unhappy with my orders I have had delivered.

A beautiful place filled with statuettes of Siddhartha. The Pho (Thai style); I found overly salty, and lacking in typical aromatics. It was however tasty in all aspects of simplicity. The noodles were meak standard, however the added $ steak component was fresh and well portioned. Good amount of basil and shrimp for yet another $ charge. Rather an expensive lunch for a basic bowl of soup. But I dont regret it.

Our group ordered from here for a scrapbooking event yesterday. It was my first time eating here. I ordered the all day special. It was so good! And very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

The food was not authentic Thai food at all. Maybe they used some Thai spice dry rub or something, but my curry was not curried properly and the Masaman dish tasted the same just with pineapples. The rice was mush. Maybe 5 minute rice. The food was slop with some sort of Thai spice added. I will never get food from there ever again. Also, when I get Thai food and I say sawadika, I expect them to at least know that. They looked at me confused. Kahpoonkahp.

We have always loved lotus Thai and get take out all the time. However, this time we ate in and shared the all day special. Little did we know that there was a $2.00 up charge for the beef. Thats totally understandable and maybe we just missed that. What was extremely crazy was the $5.00 charge for us to share the meal. How on earth can you charge $5.00 if you don t offer the meal in a lunch portion?? We love the place but this is crazy! Do better Lotus Thai.

Great little place on the west end of St Thomas - they offer very good genuine Thai cuisine. We had the Thai cashew nut stir fry to share between two, as well as the vegetarian spring rolls. The prices are definitely reasonable too for the amount you get. Very traditional atmosphere, plenty of space inside.

Very tasty Currey dish. Pad Thai was quote good. Could ask to have spice added Id desired. Might be night to have some shaved carrot ) other veg. It seemed like an authentic pad Thai that said. Bother were enjoy. Far better than the other Thai place in town. Server was very pleasant and helpful in answering questions. Would be eager to see more dishes added for variety versus rice / noodles choices. Very positive experience.

Ordered spring rolls, wontons and chicken pad thai. The pad thai was ok nothing special, the spring rolls and wontons were terrible, couldnt even finish 1 of each. Nice inside the restaurant and the lady at the counter was friendly and efficient. I love thai food but unfortunately would not return here.

So disappointed in the pho we ordered tonight. My partner got the beef pho and I ordered the chicken pho and we both got approx 5 small pieces of meat in each and the meat tasted like reheated chicken and beef not fresh. I don t think we will be ordering from here again. I d rather do the extra 15 minute drive to go to London for quality pho

We ordered from here after ages and were so pleasantly surprised! The drunk beef noodles were just phenomenal and the Thai Basil stir fry was really good too! We ll be repeat ordering those noodles anytime we find ourselves hankering after good Asian food in town. We ve ordered food before and didn t relish it as much so it s not been our go to Thai place in town but todays spot on order has us converted!

Been here many times. Love the Pad Thai and the spring rolls. Had a bad experience with the wonton soup. Wonton were completely raw in the middle. Told our waitress, not even a sorry or a complimentary drink, nothing. Would love to 5 star but that experience soured my score of this place.

Originally had a 5 star but after lastnights dinner I will change my review. We ordered a large wonton soup and wanted to share ($5 Upcharge- which is insane) anyways, all the wontons were raw still. We told the waitress and she took the soup back, but very casually just acted like it was no big deal. Raw meat is unsafe, especially pork. My husband ate 4 wontons before I got to bite into one and discovered they were raw. Dine in experience is usually not very good. Padthai is always delicious though. Service just sucks and the lack of acknowledgement to the raw meat situation set me off this place.

The Pad Thai lunch special was a great size and tasted even better would go back again for lunch when in town.

Tried this restaurant for the first time for my husbands birthday last week, we were absolutely delighted with the food, so fresh, flavorful - so we had it again tonight. Our new favorite - staff very friendly - would definitely recommend

The food is good, but the staff were rude when asked when our takeout order was going to be ready, which was already 20min later than what we were told.

Ive been there a few times in the last months, and food there is always great. Tried almost everything on the menu. Spring rolls are fantastic and Drunken Noodles are my favourite. Its definitely one place to stop by when Im around for work!

Very friendly service, low waiting time for lunch on a weekday. Fresh veggies, properly cooked. Very well cooked tofu! (Thats rare: tofu is often soggy and oily). The spring rolls were very good too. My only note is that I found the whole a bit too oily for my taste. I prefer white rice that hasnt been fried. I will ask next time. Price-wise it was somewhere in the middle, I believe, with the lunch special at $17.00 (soup.or spring rolls + either pad Thai or sauteed veggies w/protein, or a curry. Entrees are around $17-18, and everybody gets some left overs to go. Will come back.

First time there and will definitely be back! Shared the fresh rolls and chicken mango stir fry with my mom and even the two of us couldn t finish it! So big and so fresh, can t get over how fresh everything was.

Me and my wife eat here at least once a week, this hidden gem has become a tradition for us. Be sure to ask for the home made hot sauce if you like spicy things

Upon entering the foyer there is a sign that states please wait to be seated. The wait was a little odd. There was no front end host and someone yelled out to grab a spot in the dinning room. Outside of that instance the food and service was good,. The sauce for the rice paper spring roll was a bland peanut sauce. Needs more depth for sure. I tried a yellow curry it was good although I feel it lacked the complexity of flavours I have grown to expect in Thai cuisine. Over all I am pleased with my latest experience and will return as its one of two Thai restaurants in this area.

We made a stop here after getting a recommen and checking out the other reviews and I m glad we did. Service was quick, beer was cold and the food was absolutely delicious. The reviews aren t lying about the spring rolls, they are fresh and tasty. We also got the pad thai, lotus fried rice and golden curry - everything was hands down some of the best and freshest Thai food I ve had in a long time. If you re in St. Thomas or just driving by, it s worth it to stop in.

In 2016 I gave Lotus Thai a one star review. Now, in 2022, I see no sign of any of the problems I was concerned about then. They used to have misleading dietary claims that said vegan and gluten free which werent true. Thats very serious, but it seems fixed, so I im redoing the review. While there isnt any major fail point, everything is a little lack luster. I wish the food was a little more flavorful, I wish the ingredients were a little fresher (Im looking at you limes). The wait-staff was friendly and nice, but she was handling everything front of house, no complaint from her performance but she did look like her hands were really full with 4 tables, takeout, phone, bussing, and hosting. Oh, fyi, they do a $1 surcharge on everything if you eat in. Fine with me, I think that makes sense. Just think of it as a dollar off when you take out. Edit: I love when businesses reply in specific ways and not form letters, it shows they care. Caring counts for a lot!

The takeout Gem of St.Thomas...have to admit I rarely takeout anything but the daily..Pad Thai special, always the favourite..fresh and delicious! The owners make you feel like family friends and treat you as such. When dining in with friends, or out in courtyard, the relaxed atmosphere always leaves us feeling a return visit will be soon.

Delicious spring rolls - best Ive ever had. Serving sizes could be a TOUCH bigger but beyond that amazing resto.

Best pad thai around. Best spring rolls around. Best crispy wontons around. Cant go longer than a month without this place. You can also buy their pad thai sauce which is better than any other pad thai sauce you could find at the store. Always a treat.

I ordered the mango/coconut glutinous rice. What I got was a super overcooked, mushy rice (almost like rice soup) with thin strips of unripened mango twirled around in there. Ive had mango rice hundreds of times everywhere else, never have I ever encoutered this. Im native to Thailand so I can say this is not mango rice, Highly disappointed. To reply to your reply: NO REFUND WAS OFFERED by you whatsoever. You were pure rudeness over the phone. Please dont make up stories to make yourself look better. And there is not a myriad of ways only ONE type of this traditional Thai mango dish -- any other way (with soupy rice and unripened mango, for instance) is innovative and that I stand by. So no thank you for your gracious discounted offer -- thats a joke. I wont be returning ever and wont be recommending this place to anyone.

The service was very good and the portions were big, but unfortunately it was fairly bland. I had basil fried rice with chicken. Typically, Thai dishes like this have a mixture of sweet, sour and hot. There was a good amt of asian basil but no heat. I liked the place and would try again but not the best Thai food in St. Thomas.

This is one of the best restaurants in St Thomas. Not only are the kitchen staff and owner lovely, but the drivers are fantastic. I just received my meal and had to call and thank them for how wonderful it was. Growing up in Toronto I had high expectations and they have exceeded them over and over again. I urge you to try their wonton soup, and Thai cashew chicken stir fry. Absolutely fantastic. It arrived HOT and quick like always. My go to restaurant, any day of the week. WOW!!!! So happy we found this St. Thomas gem. We just moved here from the GTA where there are multiple options for Thai food, but I have to say none of them come close to how delicious the food is from Lotus Thai. We have dined in but mostly get take out and the service as well as the food have been amazing. We opt for the Pad Thai and get the spring rolls and shrimp rolls, and it is always hot and delicious. The delivery drivers are also very friendly

I am a fan favourite of Lotus Tai. They always deliver my food with a smile. Today I order my regular meal like I also do. I dont switch it up, because I love the Sweet Soya Basil its my go too if Im having a rough time it always cheer me up. Though as I received my food I had the most caring, kindest, sweetest delivery man I EVER had! He left me speechless and warm my heart with how he greeted me. Thank you to my delivery person, you honestly turn my October completely around and left me on such a good vibe. Loved the food! I had the fried rice with chicken, garlic chili hot sauce, and the oolong tea. The rice was amazing and even though I hate eggs I LOVED theirs!!! The food was amazing and the service was incredible! The garlic chili hot sauce was surprisingly spicy, and was very thick and had many chili seeds, I also loved the flavour combined with the rice. The oolong tea was delicious and I drank the whole pot, it was strong which I liked even more! (cute tea pot by the way) then as I left I had to get a jar of the hot sauce as it was delicious! (Could be my new favourite sauce!) then he gave me some Mango Pineapple Habanero sauce for free! The sauce was delicious and it had a nice burn just from covering my fingertip! It has an amazing flavour that had an amazing taste and a good scent! The place was also amazingly decorated and had a very nice feel! I would highly recommend going here, 100% worth it!!

I had the All Day special, with shrimp Pad Thai. The spring rolls and dipping sauce I give 5 stars, the deep fried pork wonton also get 5 stars. The pad thai only gets a 3 star rating. Although the pad thai was good, it just wasnt great. The flavour for me wasnt strong enough, and the portion could have been bigger. I did like that the shrimp had the tails removed. I would still order from here again.

The spring rolls and wontons were very tasty and the pho noodle soup was a pleasant surprise on my palate. Great Job Lotus Thai, you made a faithful customer out of us!!!

Food was excellent

We had take out this evening, Pad Thai, a Curry dish, and Mango Sticky Rice. It was fabulous! Generous portion sizes, and the sides that came with this, Spring Rolls & Crispy wonton, were the best Ive had in a very long time. We hadnt eaten here for a while, and Im so glad we did tonight, its going to be our new Go To.

Best Thai food in SW Ontario. Pho is such a large serving and so delicious. Their Pad Thai and spring rolls are great, and fresh rolls too. My favourite is the Curry Radnar. Perfect amount of heat. Takeout is always hot, fresh and ready for pickup very quickly.

Amazing food and great prices! I had their veggie pad Thai and spring roll Lunch special and it was so good! Only about $11 with tax and so much food!

As I arrived the mood was set. A traditional yet expectional experience. As I walked in I could smell the spicy pad thai being made. Was greeted by an older gentleman very friendly. Waited 5 minutes or less for real thai food with authentic and voracious flavors. Oh and BTW paid less than 20 for food that could feed 3 easily

DELICIOUS and amazing service! Their menu is small, but there is nice variety for everyone. Their prices are fair and their portion sizes are perfect! My family and I love their fresh rolls, spring rolls and shrimp rolls, they are seriously the best! We like to order the thai cashew nut stir fry (mild spice), sweet and sour stir fry (mild spice), the drunken noodles (medium spice) and the sweet soya basil noodles (mild spice). Their pad thai is too sweet for our taste buds but thats a personal preference.

Portions are large, fairly priced and the food is always fresh! The man working was very friendly. Ive tried the wonton soup, Pho and Pad Thai so far and its all amaaazing!

Was in town for business, stopped in for a late lunch. The owner was incredibly kind and generous, giving us menu recommendations. Food was delicious, the home made garlic hot sauce was incredible and as hit as advertised. Recommend getting the noodles, and one of the best spring rolls Ive had. Worth the check in.

The atmosphere was amazing. Our hostess was over the top. My cashew nut meal with peanut sauce was delicious. I definitely will be back.

Beware of the Combos. The lunch express pad thai serving for $8.95 is the SAME size as the full dinner combo (half a small container) for $14.95. Ive ordered BOTH and got the exact same size serving (with 2 small deep fried shrimps extra only). I called to let them know after I picked up my order, and they said there was nothing they could/would do since I already picked up the food (ummm was i supposed to check the food before I walked away with it?!) and that it was probably the correct serving size (which would be INSANE. The serving size was the size of my palm, not even enough to feed a small woman who doesnt eat a ton). For the price, I expected a FULL dinner serving of pad thai, especially considering the pad thai is only $12.95 on its own. What kind of special combo is that to get HALF the serving with spring rolls? Not a deal at all, then. Ive eaten here a few times and the food is pretty good, but this experience has turned me right OFF. They could have just admitted they clearly made a mistake, and it wouldnt have been a big deal to me, but NOPE.

Just had our dinner delivered we received the wrong order. When I called to let them know was not impressed on how this was dealt with . They would not correct this mistake they only offered for me to come pick up free appetizers . I had my dinner delivered for a reason. Sorry food is good but when they deliver u the wrong meal that I paid $70 for & not correct there mistake loss my business
