My wife and I went here yesterday. I kept telling her we should go based on the great food and service Ive received at the wpg location....boy was I wrong! When we arrived, there were only 2 people tucked away in the corner, but all the rest of the chairs were up on the tables like they were ready to close shop. The man at the til had to ask his manager if it was alright to take 2 chairs down for us t sit. That should have been my 1st and last cue to get out of there, but unfortunately, I stayed. We ordered 2 burgers and a small fry. Everything was absolutely horrible! The fries tasted as though they had been reheated. They were tough and had no flavor. If I had been blind folded I would have thought I was eating cardboard. The burgers had no sesame seed buns like Winnipeg has, not to mention the patties were dry and overcooked. The baon on my burger i could barely bite through! I was discussed, to say the least! The sign outside says, Under new management! I think they need to try that again or pack up shop. Youre giving Georges Burgers a really bad name. I gave it a 1 star because there is no -5. Read the reviews people and stay away from this place!

Just want to share my thoughts about this place. I had good amount of experiences with their menu. However, Today, i have notice that this place having negative influences about multiple things. i just want to make clear statement about this place that all the negative thoughts are meaningless. I am pointing at this negative review about their cleaning. I have noticed their cleaning for particularly in dining area. Its neat and clean. In fact, i am adding current pics of this place which i took today in the afternoon during i am having my lunch. Just ignore all negativity about this place and visit without any hesitation.

I m sure there other burgers are good but from my experience today stay away from the chicken burger. The bun is about 2 times the size of the chicken patty and honestly it s like they use a chicken patty that you buy in the frozen foods section at the grocery store.

Whether you re in the mood for a great burger, tasty salad and/or fries (galore!) George s will make you smile. And FULL!! Large serving portions and friendly service are an extra bonus. Vegetarian options: We didn t order vegetarian but I did see a vegetarian burger option and sides. Parking: Plenty of parking directly in front of the building

Ive been going to multiple locations of Georges for years. This location has new owners. Not sure if theyre following the original recipes for their chilli. I found the chilli from my chilli fries to be very dry and lacking its normal flavour. It was almost as if the ground beef was boiled. It lacked all of its normal greasy tomato flavours. Not impressed, if this is what I have to look forward to for chilli fries. I was so excited when Steinback finally got a Greek-style burger joint. Now with this new ownership, Im not so sure. Dont mess up what was already perfected. Theyre a multi-location company for a reason they know what theyre doing and have perfected their recipes over decades of serving their customers.

I ordered the salami sub and chili cheese fries. Nothing special about the sandwich, just your standard cheap sub. The chili cheese fries were inedible. I m not sure what that grey minced up stuff on my fries was but I took one bite and immediately spit it out. It was disgusting. After telling people about my experience I m told it s under new ownership now and the reviews on here are from before the new owners took over. I do not recommend this specific location at all. I hear the Winnipeg locations are top notch if you re looking to give this franchise a real go!

i used to order from here kind of frequently but the last time i was there i saw some kind of nasty things when it came to the food so i havent been back since but i heard they got new owners so maybe ill try them again and update if necessary

Hands down the worst burger I have eaten there. The last 3 times I went have been there it was nothing but disappointment. I think this is the last time. Like seriously what with the soggy shredded lettuce, extreme amount of mayonnaise and mustard. The patty is a much lower grade of ground beef from what I remember. The Greek fries are the only thing I somewhat enjoyed out of this last preset. Hands absolutely the worst burger I have attempted to eat. Also the place is not very clean.kind of disgusting. I m sorry to say this is the last time I will be going here.

Horrific service. After stumbling through trying to order a bunless burger with a girl who couldnt communicate and then told it would be 10 minutes for my food (Georges Express?) I have now been watching a lineup of people having the same issues 4 staff on, all wondering around and I was just handed another persons order. :(

Fries were overdone...left 3/4 of them...Chicken fingers way to well done..we all felt sick after eating dinner there. Not going back.

Hi, My husband and son loved the burger poutine. Unfortunately, my chili and cheese fries were not very good. The fries were very overcooked and dry...and the chili had no vegetables or beans in it. Not much flavour, just hamburger with not much sauce/tomato in it. I wish I could have liked it bc this is my favorite way to have Georges fries. I hope this will help so your restaurant can improve this dish/ item on your menu. I have confidence in you! I see that you have caring customer service! I hope you will contact your customers who care.

I bought a fish and chips and hated it. Both the fish and the fries were very dark, the oil in which they were made must have been very old. This is the second time this has happened. I wont go back.

hamburger tasted sour ,pickles soft tasted bad, since the the new owners took over its hasnt been every good ,not eatting there again !

I eat here regularly and don t really have any complaints about the food but I forgot to get a side of gravy for the fries and went back for it, it is $3 + tax for a side of gravy! That s an outrageous price for a side of gravy made no doubt from a powdered mix!

Horrible service, slow and felt very disrespected when I asked my messed up order to be corrected. It s very unsanitary and nobody was wearing gloves. Very disappointed and will not be coming back sorry Georges.

Great food we love the fat boys and their Greek salad the chilli fries are also amazing. We have tried so many things of the menu and will keep coming back. Staff has always been so incredibly kind keep up the good work.

Ate here several times. It has yet to disappoint! However for those expecting this to be like every other fastfood burger it is not! The burgers are huge and heavily topped and a meal in themselves. This being the case you do gotta eat the burger fairly quickly as if you give it 15-20 min the juices can make it soggy so just bear that in mind. If you order poutine it is a heavily filled one (heads up for those who arent fans of heavy gravy on poutine!) However it is a value cost for the servings you get compared to large chain fast food spots!

Not impressed no we re near as good as George s in Winnipeg. Everything seemed over cooked gravy tasted burnt. Fat boy burger wasn t like a fat boy should be wasn t messy enough and tasted very bland

I absolutely love your food, but this Wednesday ,not so much. I ordered 2 fat boy combo meal, and side of chili and someone goofed big time, its a dull grayish color,no taste at all , I picked it up around 4:30 -5ish . Just letting you know, so u can figure out which staff screwed up... thanks UPDATE AS OF FEB 8TH....ty for getting back to me, very fast response, Ill be back

We recently ordered from Goerges Burgers, through Skip the Dishes. It was the best delivery we have ever had in town! Some had burgers, I had the gyro. Everyone was satisfied and the fries were amazing. We had one meal that needed a special request and they followed through. Thank you!

Haven t had George s for quite awhile and decided to get for supper tonight. Well won t eat there no more!! And we loved George s burgers. Our burgers were super thin and hard, no flavour, and they forgot my fries so went back in and the fries look like they were cooked 3 times. Wow. Disappointed and my bf didn t even eat his burger it was that bad.

Georges has a good go to menu. Unfortunately, the Steinbach franchise is horrible at service. Super slow crew. Waited 20 minutes for 1 Fat Boy!!!! Finally took an angry wife to walk back in and ask why we have been waiting 20 minutes for a burger?! Drive to Winnipeg you will get quicker service!

The fries are good and there is lots of them

Stay away from the Steinbach location. Nasty. Waited 15-20 minutes for clearly reheated fries and a stale moldy bun (which, if you actually read through the reviews, youll see thats a common thing for this place). Get your act together, guys. The girl taking our order was super friendly and easy to deal with but the cook staff needs to be replaced with people that actually care about food quality. Shame on you for carrying the Georges name.

Their burgers and subs are terrible, I would not recommend ordering them but their fries and poutines are absolutely delicious. Perfectly salted and deep fried. They give you a LOT of fries too. Order their combo fries and see for yourself.

Finally a Real Burger restaurant in steinbach! And theres loads of other options besides burgers! The portions are massives! Such a great restaurant!

I wasnt impressed with the burgers to be honest , they need to toast their buns and the meat was burnt The buns are too big for the size of patty . My fries were way too brown , my guess is the oil they are using is old and they were over cooked . I did like the chocolate shake though ! I like to think i am a bit of a hamburger expert considering i used to own 3 of the largest hamburger restaurants in the world !

I was hoping for the same taste as the other locations, and they didnt disappoint! I had the fat-boy combo and it was great! 10/10 would recommend. There was something about the bread that tasted different, I doubt it was stale, it was probably that I hadnt had Georges in a while. Fries tasted great, and you get ALOT of them. So far Ive only had the fat boy meal at this location but I will be coming back to try other menu items. Staff was friendly and quick to help me, I cant say how fast because I ordered in advance, Im sure they are quick!

Oh my goodness!!! Sooo good! Im so happy that theres a Georges Burger & Subs in Steinbach. Ive been craving a good ole fatboy and man they did not disappoint, it was delicious! The portions are so huge and filling but we love that! You definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

I find the morris location is better for sub sandwiches but all and all a great place to eat been coming to georges for many years now

Awesome footlongs & veg burger

I was on a time crunch so i called to make an other to eliminate waiting, they told me 20 mins. So when I came to get my food I was told it would be another 15 mins since they didnt even start my order. I asked for refund because I didnt have time to wait but they said no and I had to wait for my food. Food was ok but dont think I will ever order by phone. Thats not acceptable.

I called and ordered from outside the restaurant. I ordered a bacon burger, fries and gravy with a milkshake. The person on the phone said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I went in after 8 minutes and it was ready! Which was great fast service I thought. Before I left I asked if I could get a fork and condiments, the person serving me said it was all in the bag. When I got out of the restaurant and removed my mask to take a sip of the milkshake, I noticed it had a sour taste. When I got into my truck I removed the lid of the cup to find curdled milk in the cup. I figured I better wash it down with the food. I proceeded to open the bag to find no fork or condiments. The fries were dry and over cooked. The burger was decent minus the soggy bun all around the burger. Ive never had a bad experience with any Winnipeg location. Georges has always been a favorite so I was looking forward to it. Sorry Steinbach big fail.

Tonight was our first time ever trying George s for supper. I had the Greek burger and my mind is blown. Best burger I have had in my life. I also ordered the Greek fries. it was so impressed I had to call the manager to let him know how incredible our meals were. The fries are pretty good here but I was excited to try their gyro as I am part Greek and love trying Greek food. Overall for the gyro I d give it a 4/10 when compared to other fast food restaurants the pita is good, the meat is okay but what really gets me is that the Tzatziki is really runny and flavourless not sure if this is a deliberate choice or if it s them trying to be cheap but the quality of the tzatziki is almost blasphemous. I know it s a burger restaurant so I shouldn t have high expectations for their tzatziki but I thought I d leave a review to let the owners know that they need to step up there game. Hopefully once the pandy is over they can take a well deserved holiday to Greece or even Toronto to taste what a real Gyro is supposed to be! Would recommend in a pinch better than getting a Mcchicken but not authentic.

We love Georges food but the last two times we ordered they messed up our order, the first time we ordered the girl on the phone was too busy talking to other staff and messed up our order, she had to call us back as she did not comprehend our order, to busy yapping. And when I went to pick up the food I still had to straighten them out on our order. Today I ordered food again and again they messed it up. The bill had everything we ordered on it one burger no chili onions or mustard but I ordered a double hamburger as well with only chili and onions but when I got home it had chili and onions but also had cheese, I hate cheese but I ate it anyway as I didnt want to drive back. How hard is it to get a order correct when it is all written on the bill.

We went here for dinner and it was definitely a disappointment. The staff seemed very chaotic and unorganized, they didn t quite to seem to know what they were doing. Waited half an hour for the food to come but in the meantime we were able to enjoy the worst milkshakes we ve ever had in our lives. Once the food did eventually arrive both of our burgers were wrong (we ordered doubles and got singles instead), the fries were layered with salt and were basically inedible. Overall a terrible experience, if you can I d definitely recommend going to the Georges in Winnipeg where they actually know how to make good food. (Side note; I noticed the owner try to disclaim another negative review on here by saying that it s possibly fake, I d like to assure you that I have eaten here and will not be making that same mistake again.)

Friendly cheerful service. Huge portions of homemade fries that stayed crisp better than the average homestyle fries do. They were accommodating when we ordered our burgers without mustard and onions and got the order right. However I might order with 2 patties next time as I would like more meat for the amount of bun. Thank you Steinbach location Georges. We will be back.

The classic arrives in Steinbach and they bring all of the quality with them. Fantastically huge burgers, a massive helping of fries to go along, and an excellent fusion of Greek and Diner. The flavors are quite distinct and present, so be aware that there is at least a little chilli on nearly every burger as some may wish to avoid that (I personally highly recommend).

Good Fatboy...I like that the patty hasnt been overworked. The fries were good...and we got a ton!! However the Greek Salad was a fail. The size (large) was great...but not a single black olive...not one! Thats not a Greek Salad.

Love this food! Why did they wait so long to come to steinbach? Steinbach has needed a chip joint for a long time amd finally they have it. It is always busy when i go (6 times since they have opened) and every time customer service has been great and food amazing. 5 stars!

Went to the new stienbach location and I was more then disappointed... I got the grilled chicken burger and the meat was so dried out, hard and salty it was nasty. The bun was unchewable my dog wouldnt even eat it. My husbands fat boys looked like someone ran them over with a truck and slapped them on a bun then dipped it in water , then sat on them.. what a wast of my money and time. The Morris location is way way way better

Absolutely love Georges in Morris. I make a point of going there every time im in the area. Went to the steinbach location for supper today ordered the usual double fat boy and was i disappointed. Had to be the worst burger in a long time. The bun was so soggy it tasted like someone poured water on it and the lettuce tasted like it was old and turning bad. My wife had the chicken burger both the bun and the chicken was so dry and hard when she dropped it on the ground the dog sniffed it and walked away. Definitely not rushing back to this location

I dont get out to the Steinbach area to often because I live about 40 minutes away but every time I do go there I make sure to stop at Georges as it is one of the best burgers Ive ever had and the fried portion sizes are great, a large could feed minimum two people but closer to four depending how much you eat DO NOT EXPECT A MCDONALDS LARGE. Customer service is top notch and the most Ive waited for a burger was about 15 minutes and they were pretty busy during that time but I dont even mind waiting when I go there because they let you wait in your car and bring it right out to you. All in all nothing but love for this location highly recommended.

The left side of my brain a.k.a The Wife and I tried Georges for the first time at the Steinbach MB location on Sunday, Excellent Service, Excellent Prices, Excellent Food, Excellent Portions we will be definitely coming back again best burger in town and will recommend to friends.

Not sure what all these other negative reviews are about but this Georges is on par with all the other Georges Ive been to. I had one small issue and I spoke directly to the owner and he went above and beyond what I expected a business owner to do. He made it right, apologized and left us with a great impression of his restaurant. I think people, if they have an issue need to speak directly to management instead of attempting to publicly shame a guy for trying to do his best. Great work Georges youre doing it right !! Great addition to Steinbach !!

Tried giving them a 2nd chance, very slow service again, downgrade to 1 star. Original review: The food was good, the service was slow. Its a friday night supper rush, and all i saw was the front cashier and one cook. They took my license plate number and brought the order out when it was ready. They did NOT put cutlery or condiments in the bag which is an oversight in my opinion, they may be available on the counter but when you are waiting in your vehicle not so helpful, next time i will double check before driving off.

Worse burgers & fries Ive ever had. This was the Steinbach location. Burger was tasteless, bun was stale & dry. Fries were burned, wrinkled and hard. Looked like theyd been fried more than once. The meal was inedible. Ill never go there again. The one star is for the friendly girl who served me. The meal is a big fat zero.

Waited for almost 2 hours for one burger???? You guys had a full staff working yet printer was down so order wasnt going to the cook so the 2nd time I want in after the first hour you guys didnt just tell the cook? Unbelievable. Georges Burgers and Subs in Steinbach has so far hooked me up with Cheeseburgers on the go, and a couple of walk up orders. service has always been prompt and friendly. on one occasion the walk up wait time was about 15 min long which is understandable, the young kid who brought the order out to me was very friendly and apologetic. good service goes along way even if your just walking an order out. I grew up in South Winnipeg, and now live in the South East, it was nice to see a Georges open in Steinbach. As far as the food. the Fries were very tasty, nicely seasoned. even 30 minutes later they were still ok.. the Fatboy was hot, good amount of sauce, and veggies were fresh. Cheeseburgers were hot upon order. I would recommend and will return to Georges in Steinbach.

Update: last week I wrote a review chronicling an unsavoury experience with staff. My experiences for the most part have been great but last week left me not wanting to bring my business there anymore. My review was taken seriously by the owner. I appreciated a having a civil dialogue with a very reasonable man and based on my that experience I will be bringing my business back to George s in Steinbach. Thanks again.

Half an hour for a basic burger.

the food is economical and very good , always fresh and tasty . The staff is the best and always remember you by name when you come in to pick up. When is showed up to pick up my last order i was late and the girls let me know that they reheated my lunch and gave me a discount (what a nice suprise) . This is why i always recommend them to friends + customers. Keep up the excellent customer service.

We were not too impressed with the burger . Very large and hard to eat. Bun falls apart as does the pattie. Just very sloppy and hard to eat. Fries are good but end up wasting most of them.

I love this place! Always good burgers and poutine. Id give 5 stars if it wasnt for the fact that you have to ask for the poutine layered, otherwise you dont get anything on the fries underneath, and if they had a smaller size! I cant eat the whole $8 poutine myself and throw out at least half most of the time. Id like to see a half size offered!
