Really hard to order food when they don t answer the phone all afternoon. Ordered again and the food is just very bland tasting. Not impressed. Won tons taste like they ve been undercooked in old grease. Will not order again

Poor service. Poor food, Food uncooked and uneatable, no replace of food, no apologies no refund, The service from the employee/ management was ignorant to the point when food brought back to them as my wife was sent to hospital, I was told I could not leave the food with them and I had to take it out of the restaurant. If this is the kind service of service the manager says no one complains about, I would suggest that no one eat there do to the no responsibility the restaurant takes in respecting a customer when they are completely 100% wrong and should not tell people they get no complaints when three different people were talked to and nothing good to say about there service and online has many not so good reviews. So no matter how many good reviews there are many bad as well. You will not be any chance for good service or refund but you can be sure to be told to eat the bad food, they do not care you are sick from it and you can not leave their own product in their restaurant. Unheard of for any restaurant or store that sells food to act this way towards a customer or not refund their money. Yes this is a bad review and I refuse to be treated with disrespect or expect anyone else to go through it as well. Unheard of for Steinbach but totally except able from Mr, Q restaurant.

It use to be great. Now its not. Simple as that. The new owner. Took a great family restaurant and jacked up the price. To a point its just not wroth it anymore. The food has gone down hill so bad. Its gross and food poisoning is a very likely on any given day there. So many peoplei know have gotten sick from this east India street food type restaurant now.. Plus the new owner took away the won tongs from the Buffet. So charging alot more for less options Its unbelievable. That someone is allowed to come to this country buy up a restaurant and jack up prices and give less. Very un Canadian.

We have used Mr Q quite a bit for take-out in the past and it has become our go-to for Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately I am afraid that is going to change basis our recent experience. While the food was OK we actually had to check the numbers on the take-out boxes to make sure that we got what we ordered. The ginger beef and Kung Po chicken were unlike anything we had ever seen before in any Chinese restaurant and definitely different from previous meals from this restaurant. We were really disappointed as it is close to our place and really convenient but we definitely wont be going back for a while, if ever.

Really crazy prices for what you get. Don t get the hot and sour soup it s so sweet it tastes like they poured sweet chilli sauce inside, with a very thick and syrupy unpleasant texture. Way cheaper and better Chinese places outside of Steinbach.

Bro, this place is awesome. You gotta go for the buffet as it has lots of food selection and great ice cream. This chinese food is as close as a restaurant in Winnipeg can get to. No need to drive to Winnipeg to get awesome food when we have one in Steinbach. Love this place, will keep coming back.

Today for lunch we went for buffet at Mr. Qs we were Disappointed that the changing of Ownership has led to Very bad tasting food. The Fried Rice was burnt and the fried shrimp tasted like it gone bad. After going to the till To pay for our food, the owner has jumped up the buffet to almost $22 a person. Which is total outrageous and pathetic. The food was not even worth $22. Im not trying to be rude but a Chinese Franchise is no place for an East Indian. East Indians know nothing of Chinese food. This place has gone downhill in the food area. Tasting like somebody had the food in their pants. Where in my post doesnt say I was ever looking for a job? I think you need to learn how to read. I was not asking for a job. I was saying how bad your food was. And how bad your service was get it through your head or go back to school and learn how to read English!

Food was aweaome, service was awesome, selection of food was large, atmosphere was pretty. Lets just say we loved the over all experience. Will be coming back for more.

We ordered here for Christmas eve. The food was fresh and amazing. Service was great and portions were generous. We will be back!

WAY OVER CHARGED!!!!!! I ordered a simple chicken fried rice which is $10.25 also ordered dry breaded veal which is $12.75 also I got a case of sweet-and-sour on the side which is an extra five-ish dollars, I GOT CHARGED $60.26!!! and I was never made aware of it until I found an old receipt and notice that they have added extra charges of food that I did not order and I did not receive with my order. also they will NEVER pick up the phone if you are try to place an order! can t say i will recommend this place to anyone

Went here for supper with a few family members. It was okay, maybe even pretty good. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was what youd expect from a North American Chinese buffet. Too much sugar, too much breading, but good for what one might expect at a place like this. Might have rated better if the decor had more than a cafeteria feel to it.

Buffets are getting few and far between, but at Mr. Qs they are carrying the torch with their excellent selection and great prices. The dry breaded pork is mind bendingly astounding.

Been here a few times now and every time the food is really bad. Its as if theyre reusing the same oil over and over again because everything tastes the same. Your average Chinese person would not find this food acceptable... But I guess thats not their audience. Service was ok and the space itself is alright but the food is the real let down.

Employee working was nice. Its a buffet so they seat you and you never see them again. The food was terrible. We went around 4 pm, the food was hard and dry. This was our 1st time and we will not be returning. Its also double the price of ste. Anne chinese food.

Myself and my husband attend Mr.Q s on Saturday August 12 2023. Previous to this date we attended one other time approximately a year ago. We remembered it wasn t too bad. This time it confirmed it was mediocre at best. We arrived at 4:30 pm when the doors opened. Now, many years ago I managed a restaurant and we certainly didn t provide the experience to out customers as what we had on Saturday night. It was disgusting. Now, I do know it is fall and the flies are coming in, HOWEVER, there are products you can purchase in your restaurant. In addition, you only open up at 4:30!! The tables should have been stripped off, all cutlery and machines covered and at minimal sprayed that restaurant out!! Left for min 1/2 hr to and hr and then wipe down everything and sanitize and reset for service. Then vacuum carpets. I don t even want to quess how bad that kitchen was! They were flying and landing all over the buffet food. I was killing them at my table! I am sorry, to have mediocre food or even service we may have still chosen to attend your restaurant, however not anymore. The reason why we did like it was the lighting was better, not so dark like Lee s Village. Explore your options for pest control and please do better for others. Unfortunately we will not be attending your establishment again. Respectfully, Sandra Loewen

Ever since Mr. Q has gone under new management. The food is very badly cooked and the chicken Ive gotten sick off of 5 times already. And the restaurant is bought even run by A Chinese Person Anymore. Its an East Indian so what do they know of Chinese food? Food

Basic Chinese food, with no salad items whatsoever. For the cost of almost $20.00 per adult plus taxes they should have some fresh salad items.

Friendly staff washroom was exceptionally clean. Food was hot and very good. Parking: The parking lot is shared with Giant Tiger so theres plenty of spots. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap button for the doors and theres a handicap stall in the washroom. There is room for a wheelchair to go around the food bar if you need to get your own food.

Went to eat two times over the past three weeks and the food has been dramatically better than it s been for a very long time. Almost made the decision to stop going there. Glad I gave them another chance. They ve changed their shrimp and it s no longer battered but rather, a nice crispy light coating. The lunch buffet now has as many options as the dinner buffet and it included the best veal, which was crispy and juicy. The noodle dishes need improvement; too bland. Would be great if they added hot chilli oil as a condiment and added even one spicy dish. Veggies were crisp and fresh tasting.

Lucky I even gave atar on the food NEVER EVER eating here again! My 2 and 1 your old have food poisoning I have it my auntie and her 2 kids the food was cold not even warm they will not give our money back at all!

Well im sure regularly ur food is hot and fresh, but sadly well i was there with my niece my kids and hers one of the workers came right to the buffet warmer and looked underneath the warmer and saw that the burners to keep everything hot qere not even on and put them on well were standing there. My niece myself and her kids were sick a few hours after eating there. My kids were ok but they only ate fries the rest of us ate the many options that were there. We did call to complain a d were told on the phone that because no o e else had complained that there would be no refund or anything. Then the next day we looked and more bad reviews. This was my first time there and well service was good and friendly staff the food made me sick so not a good experience in that aspect

Wonderful lunch buffet with lots of delicious Chinese style food to choose from. Amazing breaded veal and fried shrimp. Broccoli was awesome too!

First time there. Rice was good. Beef and veg was good. The battered chicken dishes were very tough and hard to eat. And other dishes tasted like they were sitting there for a long time. Big letdown. :(

They have good food but overpriced

We were so impressed. We had amazing service, so friendly. And the food was fabulous. My daughter asked for gluten free food and was treated like a queen, she got 3 huge plates full for a very good price.

Its definitely worth the drive to Steinbach! Sisters and I went for our birthdays which are pretty close together. Manitoba Small Towns Drive-Ins Review on FB gave it a thumbs up so we decided to go check it out! Wasnt disappointed! Basic restaurant atmosphere and we served ourselves as it was a buffet so really cant rate the service. But the food was FRESH and hot! $25 got you an all you can eat Chinese buffet, various flavors (8) of hard ice-cream to choose from (I recommend the Mango ) for dessert and soft drink - that also included a 15% tip! The only items we werent too crazy about were the honey garlic and sweet and sour sauce. They were really thick and didnt have any flavor. A thinner sauce with flavor would have made this a 5/5!! Will most definitely go back though - just bring our own sauce !

Food was good for the most part. My favorite is lemon chicken and I was very disappointed in the lemon sauce it tasted very old. The spring rolls had a beautiful crunch but also tasted very old. Chow mein was disappointing as well. Not worth 80 bucks for only 6 items. Best part was the service very nice lady.

I havent ate out in a long time and decided for valentines day i wanted to order from mr. Qs. I heard they had the best everything. Starved all day Monday so I could Order every chicken they had on the menu. Several hours after eating their food I began to vomit. Next days were even horrible. From not being able to eat or drink anything 4 days after I was beyond dehydrated. Had to get checked out and sure enough it was confirmed it was salmonella poisoning. Have trust issues to ever eat here again. Lesson learned...just eat at home

Most of the food tasted fine. There was 1 dish none of us weee happy with, but that could of just been our preference. Everyone who ate any of the food ended up with upset stomachs for 2 days following this meal unfortunately.

Food is decent nothing to rave about. Been a few times and the buffet seems to stay the same which gets tiring. Gave a 4 star because the waitress there is friendly, personable and polite.

I actually give it 4.5 out of 5. I really enjoyed the food very much. Very fresh and warm. My lady really enjoyed the wonton soup. I really enjoyed the ginger beef. But every thing was very enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I will recommend for everyone.

Definitely don t recommend. The Spring rolls were way too greasy, chicken balls weren t good just soggy, The shrimp had way too much breading, and to top it all off the lady who was working at the counter wasn t very nice and she definitely had an attitude. Also got very Sick after eating here.

We came at 1:20 and lunch is only til 2:00. They were out of a lot of foods so we didnt have much to pick from as most favourites were gone.

Amazing restaurant in this small city. Food are amazing in general. The rice could be stored in a thermo insulated container so it doesnt get stiff. Good service. Iunch was not good. No beef dishes. Lots of rice and noodles. Chicken balls were OK. B bQ pork was horrible. Only one veggie dish. No variety. We will not return. There are much better Chinese buffets with huge choices.

The food is always tasty, regardless of whether youre ordering takeout or eating in at the buffet. I just wish that they could keep up a bit better with the buffet aspect, but Im sure thats with anywhere that has good food. The servers are also very friendly and keep up with clearing dishes / cleaning tables. Parking: Decent parking, considering the lot is shared be several establishments. Kid-friendliness: Tasty food, and drinks and ice cream are included in the buffet price.

The worst Chinese food I ever had mushy vegetables. Dry chicken inside chicken balls cold noodles. Etc etc. very sick tonight. Green peppers had horrible taste. Sure hope not sick from food!! Dietary restrictions: Did not know had MSG as it isn t listed on sign or anywhere.

Standard Chinese restaurant, chicken wings made like chicken balls was a bit weird but still ok, no egg rolls so was disappointed, not a fan of spring rolls, seemed expensive for 4 adults and 2 kids, charged $24 for the kids, thought it would be 2.25 and 10 from the online menu, Kids were happy, that was the main thing but my Neice took white rice and it had dried out and crunched like rocks, great waitress, we looked forward for this all week when I told my family we would go here when I came back into town Friday. perfect family night out. Kid-friendliness: 6 Basic ice cream flavors, nothing else. fries and ketchup, happy kids.

We have tried Mr Qs a few times hoping it would get better & rationalizing its bad food, but after awhile you just have to face facts that its not a very good restaurant. The selection is mediocre and the quality is very poor. Its always a buffet so the service is next to nothing but you would think they would concentrate on the food but sadly no. The dishes are not filled frequently enough so many inserts are left with remnants of what was suppose to be there & the taste of the dishes is quite lacking. Bland & doughy comes to mind. Do yourself a favour if you want Chinese food, head over to Ste.Annes for there Chinese buffet instead .

Been to every Chinese place in the area including Ste Anne and always been disappointed comparing to the Chinese food in BC. Today was the first day ordering take out from Mr Qs, and Id have to say its some of the best Ive ever tasted!!! The meats were tender and not rubbery my only request would be to add some green bean dishes to the menu. We will be ordering from here from now on, thank you

First time guest at Mr. Q. The buffet was delicious, service was awesome, the server had almost a full restaurant and she had a bright welcoming smile the entire time! Im not in steinbach often but will be sure to visit next time Im in town

First of all youre greeted with a friendly face with a sense of welcome to our restaurant. Fresh and hot food a great selection coffee and soft drinks included with your meal for a great price. My brother in law and stopped by for a great lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
