Worst experience ever, got a veggie pad thai with egg, dont know if their egg was stale or noodles or veggies, gave me a bad food poisoning and left me sick for 3 days. Wont ever recommend it, cleanliness is poor and quality sucks.

The cook started yelling at the woman taking the order because someone in the back agreed to give me half chicken and half tofu (which I get at every Thai express without a problem and I ask them to charge me the price of chicken.. so it actually saves their company money since I only want half the amount). He yelled at her for 2 minutes straight while I stood there with my jaw to the floor watching him in disbelief. I then asked if he was the owner or manager and he ignored me and then I asked him again and he ignored me again and then he said it didnt matter who he was. I asked him why he was yelling at her and he told me it didnt matter and it had nothing to do with me. I cannot even believe someone would treat their coworker this way. It was incredibly disturbing. I then asked to speak to an owner or manager and he said one wasnt there. I asked for the name of one and was ignored. It wasnt about the price, I ordered extra broccoli, extra sauce and my husband ordered extra meat, extra noodles, and extra sauce. The issue is that I do not enjoy that much chicken. The cook then started yelling at me. I told them to cancel the order as I cannot morally support such a disturbing situation. Tbh I am a bit worried for the female worker. The man wasnt her manager or boss in any way and should NOT be treating people that way. Especially since she did nothing wrong in the situation (she got approval from someone in the back). Then they told me you can only do half and half meat when its chicken and beef .. which to me only solidified the fact that the amounts of meat are not pre-dished out and there truly would be no reason they wouldnt want to do half chicken and half tofu. The chicken option is more money. What a wild experience. I hope that girl is alright! I will not support this location while they continue to have this psychotic man working. He should be locked up.

Food and service is alright, but the self-service station is still closed 3 years after covid started. The notice refers to Ottawa Public Health covid guidelines, which are no longer a thing 3 years later. Feels like the employees just don t want to deal with it at this point.

Ordered a vegetarian Pad Thai extra veggies medium spice...got a vegetarian Pad Thai Xtra Xtra spicy; the spice over powered the whole dish...as someone who regularly eats spicy food (think Northern/Central India spice level tolerance) thats saying something. If I was to search for one positive? The veggies in my dish were an equal mix ratio wise.

not very friendly. Ordered a stir fry. only veggies were red pepper, onion and a few slivers of carrots. Nothing green. Very bland assortment. Cost $2 more than menu showed. Container was far from full. And the food was cold. Will not be going back.

Ordered a shrimp pad thai and they put no shrimp in it, but chicken Drove 30km to hotel before opening my food and realizing that. Very frustrating.

I ordered the tom yum soup in size large. The broth was ok, not spicy like i asked. There was little to to vegetables, the shrimps tasted like giant tiger special and there was a massive amount of noodles. It was larger than usual noodles and the broth was mostly all absorbed. I will not be returning.

Requested to make my pad sew extremely spicy. It s okay that they declined, but then proceeded to swear at me and use vulgar language thinking I wouldn t understand however I did because it was my native language. Won t be coming back again. Extremely rude and unprofessional and quite frankly, I m pretty angry. When I was walking out the door they started raising their voices again mentioning it. Can t believe a franchised establishment does this to their customers. I ll be contacting HQ. Update, April 4/22: Reached out to HQ as suggested by reply on three separate occasions. Didn t receive a single reply.

Always good. There may be better thai food out there, but if you need it quick this is the place.

Service is fast and I ve coming here since 2019. Usually go for tofu pad Thai and Tofu Thai fried rice. The food taste great and it s consistent at this location, something I noticed isn t always the case with Thai Express. Keep up the great work

Vegetarian options: I order vegetarian fried rice. The rice in it was ok. But the vegetables in it was not fresh it smalls and test like they are so spoiled.

Generally, I like Thai express and the food at other locations. But at this one, the cashier is rude and so are the other staff. I ordered general Thai chicken and I saw them skimp on the chicken. When I pointed it out to the cook, he very rudely said youve to pay more if you want more. I told the cashier I want extra sauce or paste when she took the order. The request wasnt even communicated to the cook. Day of order: 28th March around 7 pm.

Yesterday I was shopping in Lowes and went to this Thai Express as it was close. Ive never been to this location before. They packed me my order to go and I didnt check it expecting the same service here as I usually have at the other locations. When I get back home and open my container I was shocked because I got half of the portion that I usually get in Thai Express. I ended up hungry, frustrated and very angry. Ill never go to this location again and highly recommend people to stay away from this exactly Thai Express

This is a terrible terrible location! This is my second time giving this location a try and its waste of money! I ordered general Thai chicken with Mango and theres literally 2 pieces of mango about 2 cms each and the chicken is undercooked! I cannot even break the piece of chicken even with a steel fork! The meal is literally a waste. If people are trying to support the local restaurant during Covid, is this the sort of food quality to expect? This is literally $14 down the drain.

Ordered vegan pad Thai for takeout. Received pad Thai with eggs. Their app didn t even have an option for no egg because duh! Very disappointed!

We ordered online through Thai express and not one thing was made as ordered. The vegan item had egg in it and when brought up to the staff they pointed out chicken as well. The green curry ordered with extra sauce and rice had no sauce at all and the regular amount of rice. I would STRONGLY recommend going literally anywhere else. There is another Thai express on Terry Fox just north of this location, try there if you must have Thai express. And vegans beware!

Overpriced! I ordered a general Thai with extra chicken (no drink or extras) and my total came to $19.92 which included a $5.25 charge for extra meat. Although the food was good $20 can go much farther anywhere else.

Never available on Skip the dishes even though its advertised as a delivery service for them. I used to order 2-3 times a week, now they lost a customer at both locations

My favourite Thai Express in Ottawa. Lines do get long sometimes. However, the staff make the best version of their menu food of any location Ive gone too. They are generous with their meat portions, and are usually quite nice. It is decently clean.

This is a horrible experience brought to you by my mom and dad from last night. I really wish I was there to experience this first hand to stick up for them. I am writing this as i have also had 2 negative experiences with the same asian lady that works there and this is the final straw. We normally have great experiences there with the white lady as she is super nice and polite but the asian lady has always been rude. My parents went in to order some pad thai as per usual. They ordered some pad thai as well as soup and wings. My dad asked for a seperate plastic bag for the wings and the asian lady rudely rebutted just put it in the bag with the soup but my dad said he needed a separate one but the lady kept insisting to just put it in with the soup and just kept refusing to give him a bag (And of course now the wings became soggy since they never got the bag). All while this was happening one of the cooks was laughing during the exchange while staring at my dad. It was as if he was making fun of my dad. This is very terrible customer service and I dont understand what is so complicated about a simple request. I am never going back to this location in stittsville. Luckily there is one in centrum that still has yet to affect me negatively. To top it all off the parking lot was completely empty and a giant pick up truck decided to park right beside them so close that my mom was unable to get into the car (i know that had nothing to do with the restaurant but still adds salt to the wound).

The food was okay, I ordered a Vegetarian Pad Thai. I don t know if it s because I asked for medium spice, but the whole time I was chewing on pepper flakes. Also the food did not have any spice to it. The Bathroom has no soap in the dispenser. The one thing I hated was they put my spring role in a bag with the plum sauce at the bottom. Those condiment bags are so dirty!

Worst Thai express. I went in and the owner or whoever was working was not trying to help me. Ended up telling me that he didn t want to serve me. WORST PLACE!!!!! And Horrible Customer Service. I DO NOT recommend it

Bad website. Easy to order but have to make an account, which is awful. Hours are COMPLETLEY wrong. I was told they were open online and on their webiste yet when i went to order online, they said they were closed!

The place is clean, and service is friendly, but the chicken in the General Thai has been consistently bad so dry in parts that it s impossible to chew. I m not sure if it s just cheap chicken, if it s overcooked, too old, or what, but it s not like this at other locations.

Food is amazing, they are quite generous with the ingredients too. I once asked for cashews for an extra dollar or so and I got more than I wanted! But I think the staff at the cashier needs to be little nice to customers.

If you are trying to figure out which Thai Express to go to, it would be this one. I had ordered an item from this Hazeldean location that I normally dont order and was so surprised at how delicious it was. Later I ordered it from another location and it was completely different and terrible. Will never go to a Thai Express again unless it is this location.

Veggies could be fresher. Could see them as I waited, quite dry looking. Baby corn in my stir fry tasted old, and some carrots were a bit sketchy. Prob will try a different location next time.

Really great food for a fast food chain!

I have gone to this location 3 times now and I have yet to be impressed. The lady taking orders does not understand questions. We asked how the flavouring works and she didnt respond. We were left feeling like we had to settle because she was unwilling or unable to communicate with us. Then last night we went and I ordered the Pad Salad. Only when my husband got home with my order it was in a salad container but no salad!!!??? Again left to settle as it was too late to go back. I think the person taking orders needs to be better educated or put in a different position. Customer service is not her forte.

Fast stirfry. Not bad but nothing to get excited for. That said those that love it seem to be less adventurous with food so it might be a good first step into some new favours.

Been to different locations and always had good experiences. Went to this one last week and they where randomly closed an hour early. I went again today and ordered a chicken stir fry. Get home and theres no chicken. Zero people infront or behind us so no reason to be confused with orders. Just failure to simply listen. Wont be going back.

You should avoid it. The meat is missing, OK is very little, but the worst part you dont get even vegetables in your food. All you get is a ton of rice or a ton of noodles almost nothing else. The taste... is the same for everything .. very spicy even if you ask not to be spicy. Avoid it.

Paid for extra sauce and they gave me less than you normally get, over cooked noodles just fall apart when using chop sticks, ended up throwing it out

If you want to ruin your pad thai order the beef. I guarantee you will have a bad time. That being said the rest of the dish was alright, and I quite appreciated the available peanuts and lines to dress it with to your taste. Just dont make the same mistakes Ive made. The portion size is also massive which is technically a plus. Maybe Ill try the chicken version or maybe Ill just stick with full serve Thai restaurants.

Service was good and quick. I found the Pad Thai could have been better. The chicken was a little tough/chewy on this occasion. I would prefer more bean sprouts and less noodles. My wife had the basil chicken and she seemed to enjoy it. I would give the experience a 3.5 star rating if I had the option.
