Once a much loved clothes shop in the heart of Stratford Upon Avon, Loxleys Restaurant & Wine Bar is now one of the top venues in town. With many glowing reviews from locals and visitors alike. A great place, with great food and great people! Loxleys Restaurant has the perfect environment for you to indulge in relaxation, enjoy a cocktail or two and treat yourselves to a wonderful dining experience. Our family run team welcome you to visit and experience Loxleys Restaurant & Wine Bar in Stratford-Upon-Avon. You won't be disappointed!
The staff at Loxley’s are outstanding! Really made our dinner special. Food was great and in a great location in the centre of Stratford.
Very Good restaurant, enjoyed a tender steak, rib eye, and my wife had a king prawn linguine. Both meals were excellent. The waitress, Lauren, was polite, friendly and efficient. The only downside was our table was adjourning a main walkway, but someone has to sit there.. Excellent establishment. Price as expected , Bearing in mind Stratford isn't a bargain town.
Lovely restaurant, staff engaging and helpful. Food served quickly with no lengthy waits. Food was also tasty and nicely presented. Small choice of cocktails which were also nice.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Friendly trendy place with loads of atmosphere serving great food. My wife is a coeliac and the range of gluten free options was amazing. She paid compliments to the chef and said it was the tastiest gluten free food she had tasted when dining out. Take note all those who are gluten free. Really friendly place with cool music background - nothing booming in your ear. In short, just go.
Dined here yesterday with my Mum and Godmother. One of our party has reduced mobility, and she was able to negotiate the entrance and restaurant without problems. We had 3 courses, starter, mains and dessert and all 3 were delightful. Staff were friendly, attentive ( but not overly) and helpful. This was our second visit and will not be our last.
I recently dined at Loxleys Restaurant and Bar in Stratford, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was lovely with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The highlights of our meal was the charcuterie sharing platter. It was simply amazing. In addition to the lovely food, they had a fantastic wine selection. Overall, Loxleys offers. superb dining experience with excellent food and drink in a lovely setting.
Amazing meal at this intimate restaurant in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The shrimp tacos had a wonderful sweet oriental relish. The risotto was perfect. The wings were satisfying for our Texan palates. The chicken was a little dry but was excellent with the mustard based sauce. The saffron potatoes were fluffy and tasty. The spicy shrimp pasta was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the onion rings were crisp and delicious. The best balsamic vinegar I've ever had that's made in house. Scallops were nice as was everything else. Service was friendly and efficient. We ordered everything at once, but each course was perfectly timed. You won't be disappointed if you eat here!
Chose this restaurant to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary after reading previous reviews. Was definitely not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and congratulated on our anniversary. A hand written card was waiting for us on our table too which was a lovely touch. We had the sharing platter to start and it was enormous, followed by the best chateaubriand we've ever eaten. The staff were what really made the evening, they were so friendly and personable and made us feel relaxed and not rushed. Too full for dessert which was a shame as it all looked amazing! Would highly recommend and would also drive 3 hours just to visit again!!!!
A warm welcome on our first foray into this gem of a restaurant in Stratford. Busy as it was the xmas market weekend, but the staff were unhurried and our orders were quick. Mussels on the lunchtime menu did not give the weight, but was plentiful for the price. Could do with more craft beer choices. All in all a very pleasant experience. Wheelchair accessibility: In an olde worlde eatery spaces between tables were quite tight. Wheelchair users would be wise to book ahead as we did (we are deaf with vision impairment).
A wonderful restaurant in the city centre, superb food ,ambience and service. Our waitress Annie was very helpful and friendly
The bbq chicken wing starter was an impressive start for taste. Fish and Chips were alright. Chips were nice, fish batter overcooked and fish itself was small. Then the tiramisu dessert was disappointing as the sponge layers were so dry. I may have been unlucky and got the end of an old tiramisu? So overall I would give an average review. I was hoping for a bit more wow given the restaurant is on the more expensive side but if I had chosen other dishes it might have been better?
Excellent restaurant
There wasnt room for us when we came in, sat us in the bar area until a table became available. Great service from the get go. Arguably the best Rissoto Ive ever had. My GF is VERY picky and the Sunday roast is near the top of her list of favourites. Readonly priced for the area. Next time we visit we are reserving a table definitely!!! Shout out to our server Russel
Had our anniversary here today, the staff went as far as buying a card for us, the food was unbelievably good, the staff were impeccable. We will be back. Thank you Loxley team.
We are fairly frequent visitors to Loxleys and once again it didnt disappoint. There is a very varied menu. Staff are attentive and friendly and the service is quick. We had the fritto misto and the feta spring roll for starters - both of which were very good and then our mains varied from sole to steak to pork to chicken - all well presented and cooked. They left us a birthday card which was a nice touch. The only thing that would have been better was to have sat in the main restaurant - we were out the back where the atmosphere wasnt as good.
Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. Highly recommend :)
Amazing service and food, probably best in Stratford
Fantastic quality menu, and food very tasty
Great experience, we had the sharing Mediterranean tapas platter and it was fantastic. Lovely place and friendly staff , very professional and attentive. Food
Dietary restrictions: Excellent clarity on allergens! Lots of GF options! Food
Wonderful food combined with excellent service & atmosphere. Would recommend. Dietary restrictions: Excellent for gluten free for those of you who are coeliac Food : 5/5 |
Tired to make a booking but impossible without leaving a deposit! Outrageous!! Take your business elsewhere plenty good places on the same road !
We had the chateaubriand and it was honestly the best weve ever had. That aside the service and ambiance were perfect. A lovely cozy relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to visiting again Food
Excellent meal. Food, service, atmosphere everything was perfect.
Good food, great service, kind people will definitely go back the next time I visit.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious Vegan options. Would highly recommend Food
We went in intending to have their lunch set menu, but once we took the time to look at their main menu we soon changed our mind when we saw the Prawn Linguine. So glad we did, the linguine was amazing, so much flavour! And lots of prawns! Desserts were also lovely, my husband had the treacle tart (which you dont often see) and said it was very tasty. I had the chocolate mousse, which was lovely & was perfectly complemented with the gingerbread ice cream. Overall it was a lovely meal, with great service & atmosphere. If we are in the area again we would definitely return!
This place is so lovely. Received amazing service from Russell, who served us with a smile throughout our whole meal. The Sunday roast is so delicious! Excellent quality for a very good price.
Back again for another visit and yet again amazing. Food, wine selection, service... You cant fault the place. Would love to live nearby so I could work my way through the menu in its entirety !
Lovely atmospheric setting, with lovely food and friends.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Eaten twice here in a week (on holiday) and it s awesome can t recommend them enough. Sunday roast and Friday night dinner fabulous!
Stunning food, beautiful service and elegant atmosphere
Best fries EVER! Dietary restrictions: Choice of gluten free options Food : 5/5 |
A very pleasant evening with good food and friendly staff
Nicely decorated restaurant with good food and service. A safe bet while in Stratford.
We had dinner and can say it is really a nice place. We booked beforehand and would recommend doing so. Since it was a birthday they left a card from the staff which is a nice gesture. Food is good and presented well and the staff is friendly ....really nice
Lovely place excellent service and exception cheese
Nice place, didnt eat here just came in for a drink.. margarita cocktail wasnt great but the atmosphere was still good and would still highly recommend
What a great find, had a lovely greeting when we arrived and was shown our table for 2, wed pre-booked as we were away for our wedding anniversary, and they had a card for us at the table congratulating us. Nina was our waitress and did an amazing job, nothing was too much, she gave us plenty of time between courses and was still very attentive. Food was fantastic, sharing board to start and we both had prawn linguine, couple of glasses of tempranillo. It was a great experience, would highly recommend, and will go back when we return.
Nice venue and efficient service however the food was incredibly average and incredibly expensive for what it was. Would not go there again and wouldn t recommend to others.
The butter-poached chicken was the best non-fried chicken dish Ive ever had, honestly
We had a wonderful anniversary meal at Loxleys. The food was absolutely delicious with the feta & filo spring roll & the slow roasted pork belly both being standouts. The staff were extremely friendly & attentive especially our waitress Karolina. When booking Id mentioned it was our anniversary & asked for a nice table. Not only were we sat in a perfect spot by the window there was a card waiting for us at our table wishing us a happy anniversary. It was a really nice touch. Great food, great service, would definitely recommend.
The food here was lovely & lots of different choices compared to a few of the other resturants in the vicinity - they still had great food but Loxleys had more on offer for a change
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today for our Wedding Anniversary. The service was outstanding and Lauren, our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and our table was in a really lovely position by the window. We were given a card for our Anniversary which was a nice touch. We will definitely be returning.
Lovely food with the warmest of service. We had a wonderful time.
Fabulous lunch, excellent service and not rushed. Would highly recommend. Can t wait to go again.
We had 3 course set meal. Everything cooked well and very tasty! Recommended. Food
Anniversary meal with my wife and they even left a wee anniversary card on the table. Nice personal touch. Food was brilliant and staff very polite and attentive. Would definitely visit again
Happily accommodated our 2 young children and gave us a table with extra space for the pram. The food was top notch, atmosphere/the building is beautiful and feels very old and traditional. Staff were all lovely. Very happy all round
Food was absolutely lovely and full of freshness and flavour. The staff were very efficient and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning!
Superb food in Stratford-upon-Avon well worth a visit if youre in town
Was nice.
Anniversary no 62! A delicious Sunday Roast (pork) and two fabulous starters: one of them a carrot and chick pea fritter, lightly chilid, unusual and exceptional! Great service, cheery and helpful staff (gluten free absolutely no problem). What else is there to score? Oh, the wines, first rate. Thank you: memorable, and well be back.
Russell served us and was brilliant told us some history of the building and the area, atmosphere is great lovely location, my only feedback would be although duck was beautiful the two pieces were very small and it s an expensive meal. On the whole a lovely place
Incredible service and stunning food
Beautiful vibes, amazing food, and such lovely service. Would highly recommend if youre looking for somewhere for dinner in Stratford!
A great experience. The food was excellent and tasty. Best onion rings weve eaten for ages. The service was exceptionally relaxed and friendly and efficient.
Excellent evening with superb food. My favourite restaurant a few doors down has competition.
The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We would definitely go back.
Normally I dont expect much from a restaurant at the heart of a tourist district. This one is, however, reasonably priced and offered food in decent quality. We ordered some burgers, sandwiches and pasta. Good value for money.
Russell our server was amazing. His recommendations were excellent. Definitely will be returning!
Lovely place to eat, relax and socialise with friends
Very nice afternoon lunch.
We booked a table for 9 people in advance and sat at two tables. I ate a Rib Eye accompanied by delicious mushrooms. Delicious quality food and good service.
The experience was very good, the food was good but not exceptional Wheelchair accessibility: Null
Dined here for the second time for my birthday this evening. Everything from walking in to walking out was perfect. Had a drink at the bar on arrival and was sat down shortly after. Staff gifted me a card for my birthday which was a lovely touch! We had a chateaubriand to share which was just outstanding! the meat, veg and chips were mouth-watering. My partner and I always ask for tomato and red onion salad and they did it perfectly for us. Would definitely dine here again. Thank you so much to Abby and the staff for giving me a wonderful birthday.
Believe the hype on this place. Superb food, service and atmosphere. Its as simple as that really.
Visited Loxleys today for Sunday lunch. We had amazing service from friendly staff and food was amazing. Outstanding restaurant and wine bar, which provided us with some fab memories
Linguine with mushrooms and spinach, Butterscotch risotto, Caesar salad Everything was great
Food fabulous, went after 2pm so not very busy, service was great and we were able to take our time and enjoy our meal and wine
Stayed in Stratford Upon Avon Booked a table at Loxleys for sunday lunch It was so tasteful we had Pork with cauliflower cheese & vegetables Highly Recommend Thank you
Really good vegetarian options, lacking vegan choices, but overall a good place to eat in Stratford-upon-Avon.
We stopped by for a Sunday roast, and it was excellent.
Decent wine and food. 8/10
good nice
Lovely atmosphere, fabulous food highly recommended.
Went for the Sunday roast for dinner. Extremely nice and helpful server and very fast. The roast was great!
Had a great meal. Will be back.
Popped in for a couple of cocktails and was very disappointed with the service. Waiters were miserable and didnt smile once! Maybe we caught them on a bad day? But unfortunately you dont get a second chance to make a good first impression! Cocktails were nice though.
The most lovely evening ..fantastic atmosphere, amazing service by karolina. family owned restaurant. The steak was cooked to perfection. If you are visiting Stratford 100% visit here!!!
Walk-in for early dinner, made to feel welcome by all staff. Waitresses were all interested in us having a lovely evening and the food was beautiful. Ate far too much!
Incredible chateaubriand, gorgeous wine list, waitress (Nina)was brilliant, she really looked after us. It was a faultless dinner service
The food was incredible, perfect portion sizes, a good range of options. Our dietary requirements and allergies were no problem. Our waiter Nina was so friendly, helpful and hard working on a busy night. Very luck to get a table as a walk in as theyd had a no show (would recommend booking!).
We had a lovely meal here last night for our anniversary. The staff were welcoming and wished us a Happy Anniversary with a card as we sat down. Every course was delish. Excellent range to choose from. Great wine, beer, cocktail list also. Our waitress Emily (and her twin sister) were so lovely, very attentive and polite. Would 100% return and recommend. Thanks
Excellent food and service highly recommended
Great food exceptional atmosphere Second visit will definitely book up again Food
Nice food, great service. The portions are on the small side
OK - I could bore you to death about what an amazing place this is - You have already read all the other reviews so you know that - its a given. So the food is perfect - the staff are amazing - awesome atmosphere - but I want to focus on something else too. I have two daughters - both of whom are employed at Loxleys. They treat their staff like a family. Without going into the finer details - the love and compassion they have shown my kids is beyond words. They truly are a family business in every sense - and I have no doubt this is WHY the staff are so friendly - because they really are empowered and made to feel like they are of value to the business. Cannot thank them enough.
Excellent service from Russell. Food was amazing. Thank you. Highly recommend
Delicious lamb
Lovely food, everything very well cooked and good size portions. We went twice and had Sunday roast beef (good quality and lots of meat) and a la carte. Lamb and fillet steak very nice. Treacle tart, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate mousse all great and generous. I especially liked how there were lots of different elements on the plates (e.g. goats cheese and pepper and sumac sauce and redcurrant sauce and pistachio lamb belly all with the lamb, and raspberry financier and salted caramel and gingerbread/gingerbread ice cream all with the chocolate mousse), so lots of flavours to try that all worked well together and made it seem better value too. We spent quite a lot trying nice wine but the house wine was cheaper. Service was excellent, very friendly and I was astonishes by how fast the dishes came, especially the roast and desserts on the Sunday. The building is small in places but could accommodate us with a wheelchair. There was an accessible toilet but this was up one step. However there was a ramp they could get for us if it was needed so they have tried to make an old building accessible. Staff were swift and polite even though it was quite busy. Food didnt hit the mark quite disappointed although I did have quite high expectations. also air con wasnt on so room was incredibly hot.
Great food and great service.
Everything was a ok, staff even had patience to go through 3 menu changes. All was propper and would recommend.
Good food, over salted and some staff a little supercilious in attitude overall enjoyable.
Fantastic restaurant. Menu was interesting to say the least. Loads of different flavours in each dish. Service was great and atmosphere wonderful. Best meal of our recent holiday - highly recommended!
My husband and I dined at Loxleys restaurant recently after deciding to spend the day in Stratford upon Avon before heading home to Somerset. The staff were really friendly and accomodating. The food arrived promptly and was delicious, perfect location and loved the aesthetics of the restaurant itself. I left some belongings behind and only realised a couple of hours later, I called and asked if it was possible to send the items via post. The person I spoke to assured me they would sort this and was nothing but helpful! 3 days after my phonecall my items arrived. I would definitely recommend this place.
Excellent food in a lovely setting. We had starters, mains and my wife had dessert. My wife is coeliac and they took good care of her with several gluten free options. Extra points for offering Hooky on tap. Dietary restrictions: Several choices from starters to desserts were GF, ok for gluten intolerant customers.
Food was superb, we both had the duck breast and cheese board, and the service was excellent an I would highly recommend it.
Chose Loxleys to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. What a fantastic experience. Everything was perfect, Abbey went out her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Sent us a card to congratulate our anniversary.
Excellent food and drink.
A beautiful Tudor building with as beautiful food. Excellent menu although our chosen dessert was a little disappointing. Other than that would highly recommend.
I had a pre-theatre meal there. The food was delicious and the service was delightful - welcoming and efficient
Came here previously for cocktails & liked it so much we came bac for lunch on Easter weekend. The chicken wing starter with blue cheese sauce is a triumph & the duck main was delicious. Portions really generous and everything cooked beautifully. We were a little early but our table was ready and in a lovely side area of the restaurant. Service was warm, welcoming and really well timed. We will definitely come back again.
Delious hot tasty food. Great service, and our waitress was very good. This place has a lovely atmosphere.
Great Food, lovely ambience and very friendly helpful staff. One of the tastiest Special menus I have had.
Low level food, poor value for money, does not deserve a better rating
Superb food, excellent service. Staff friendly and professional. Annie was exceptional. Definitely going back!
On a short Hotel break and decided to eat out. Ordered Lamb for mains unfortunately having problems with delivery so no lamb. Ok Ill choose the duck .. no duck !! Right Ill go for steak yes they have it just under £30 so its going to be good ...Unfortunately tough not tender. Friend ordered butter nut squash risotto. Tasty but portion so small it left her feeling hungry ....come on how much does rice squash and little white wine cost enlarge your portions !! Very noisy table nearby. Im afraid the whole experience left our party cold. I have to say there was one positive , the staff were attentive and pleasant. Unfortunately I can NOT recommend this place and couldnt wait to leave. Overpriced ,cramped space .They just didnt deliver.
Thought Id booked but it never confirmed , but the staff were great , despite being packed they found me a seat for Sunday dinner . Opted for the chicken, with an extra Yorkshire which they offered for a £1 extra. Was well worth it , very hearty Sunday dinner , fantastic flavours including cauliflower cheese , and lashings of gravy and root veg. This deserves a high rating , great place
Had a lovely meal here on the last night of our trip. We were served by the lovely Annie, who was so attentive and friendly. As we were visiting from Ireland, Annie made great conversation about her favourite place to visit in Ireland and she really looked after us, wishing us safe travels on our way home. The food was delicious and a good variety to choose from on the menu. Would definitely return if we are in SOA again
Absolutely brilliant food and equally great service. Definitely up there with the best meals I ve had. Special thanks to our very friendly and attentive waitress, Emily. Would very highly recommend to anyone visiting Stratford.
We loved Loxleys! Great service combined with inventive, tasty European dishes, and excellent drinks. The team graciously accommodated us on a busy Easter weekend without a reservation. We particularly enjoyed the steak sandwich, prawn tacos and burrata salad.
Had a lovely evening here. Food was really good and great atmosphere. Service was excellent too.
Fantastic service, amazing food. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back
Best Sunday Roast in town!
Really great meal with friends for our birthday celebrations. Food was delicious and well presented. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is also a really cozy atmosphere, the tables are not on top of each other and the décor is lovely.
Awesome as per normal. Fantastic Service Fantastic Food
Great Sunday Roast!!! Portions are fulfilling, reservation recommended :)
Fabulous
Lovely food and very attentive, cheerful and helpful staff
The Sunday Roast was outstanding. Beef was delicious. Attentive but not overbearing staff. Lovely atmosphere. Recommended.
Me and my Mums visit to Loxleys was nothing short of spectacular. We were served by the lovely Russell who gave us guidance on how wed like our beef cooked and on what the starter consisted of, as well as just sharing some really welcoming chats with us. On top of this, the food was incredible. The starter which was a black pudding and pulled pork riff on arancini was unlike anything weve ever tasted. Incredible. This was followed by an incredibly succulent roast (we had beef and chicken respectively). We finished with dessert and I had easily the best sticky toffee pudding Ive ever had with banana ice cream and a butterscotch crisp. Probably the best meal weve ever had in Stratford. Highly recommended!
Could not have asked for more. Superb staff, very welcoming on arrival. Very personal service throughout and food that was very well prepared, presented and enjoyed to the full. Friendly pleasant ambience and thank you for the card on the table explaining the service charge. Worth every pound spent.
Lovely Lunch
Great pre theatre dinner, great menu, and delicious food. Atmosphere and service were excellent, very reasonable on price. Food
Best meal Ive been out for in ages. Busy on a Sunday evening, so youll need to book in advance. I had the lamb and my wife had an amazing hake croquet. Stunning. Well worth the effort of going there.....cant recommend it enough.
A touch of style for a drink or two after theatre. Cosy, small and try to get the bar stools in the window.
Stunning place, food was fantastic, Emily served us, she was absolutely brilliant, Definitely recommend
We have just had an excellent pre theatre meal at Loxleys. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, food was delicious and service was prompt and unrushed. Can thoroughly recommend, and grateful thanks to Lily who was incredibly helpful and accommodating with regard to a food intolerance.
Lovely spot for some tasty British food, with decent variation from the usual pub/bar menus. Great place for a family get together.
Superb restaurant, stunning food and superb service! Favourite place to eat in Stratford!
Great place, super menu, even for Vegan an Gluten free. Really lovely friendly staff, super helpful! Small point, the mango cheescake pud, which was vegan and GF, just tasted weird, not if mango. But it didnt spoil an excellent lunch Food
Great meal last night celebrating our last night at Stratford-upon-Avon. Went in for wine and snacks and ended up getting a large meal and plenty of wine & cocktails!!! Welsh rarebit was tremendous, scallops super tasty but a touch over. Steak was cooked excellently, lush chunky chips and the best peppercorn sauce Ive ever had. Fab service and lovely time!
Exceptional. Food was exquisite and the service was wonderful. Highly recommended.
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere!
Great service, great food and beautiful period building. Of course I will repeat. Thank you!
Delicious food with plenty of options for allergies. Sunday roast was good with lots of choice and we appreciated having the full menu to choose from as well, even on Christmas Eve. Beautiful decor throughout. Nina was an absolute star and made everything perfect for us - thank you!! Dietary restrictions: Good range of choice including DF + GF
Excellent experience for dinner. Easy to book online. Lovely atmosphere. Fantastic service throughout. Delicious food with excellent vegetarian options
A relaxed dining experience. The food was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly.
Fabulous food and great service... highly recommended
This is a great little local restaurant. The building is an old Tudor style property with wooden exposed beams, low doors so you have to mind your head if you re over 5ft 6in. It has a great atmosphere. The staff are so attentive and want to ensure you have a good time/experience. The food was great - tbh. of all the times I have eaten here I have always had a great quality of meal. The waitress (Emily) was really friendly and looked after us and Alice was great ensuring we had the right food and condiments. This is a gem of a restaurant.
We were a party of 3, and all thought that the food was fairly good but a little on the expensive side at £55 pp for lunch . We did, however all think that the service was excellent *
Just wow... Had a nut roast and Im not a veggie. Really really great vegetables Russel was the best too..
Service was very friendly, Nina served us and was very helpful and polite and friendly
Fantastic food and service
Awesome food & excellent service
Fabulous Sunday dinner!
Food was good service was fast and good cider
Fantastic go and enjoy
Food was decent, wine selection decent. Our server was an odd mix of overly attentive/rushed early on and then kind of absent later. Not sure what to make of it other than it was made for a bit of an odd dining experience. Both dishes we had were well done, interesting and had some complexity to them, would definitely recommend giving them a go if you re in Stratford
Loxleys never fails to disappoint. Food fantastic and service second to none
Great food and great service from Lauren
Amazing food and great service
Absolutely delicious pre theatre dinner
Lovely atmosphere, friendly and relaxed.
Great place for a family meal
Very tasty food and friendly service. Really enjoyed my dinner here.
We had a great meal and would highly recommend
We did not think the price-quality ratio was good. Food was tasty, but not as special as the price suggests. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Nothing to complain about that. There was a card on the table stating that a standard 10% tip was added to the bill to make it easy for us. You could then lower or increase it at your own discretion. We find this a bizarre way of doing things. You give a tip if you are very satisfied. We have therefore refrained from giving the tip. After all, it seemed to us that this had already been included in the prices of the food, given the size of the portions.
Upmarket yet cosy restaurant set in adjoining rooms and a quaint courtyard. Excellent menu with beautifully prepared and served dishes.
Had a very nice Sunday lunch with some friends . Everything was cooked to our liking we had the beef and pork . We were made welcome, and when shown to our table, a birthday card was waiting from the restaurant. Great little touch made my friends day. Would definitely recommend it.
Brilliant, excellent menu, food and service.
Natasha was funny and kind. Great service and food. Sticky Toffee pudding was best we had on our trip.
Loxleys always delivers. Great food and service, at a decent price.
Fantastic Sunday roast meat was delicious and very generous vegetable portions...
Had a wonderful evening! Food was quick to be served even though the restaurant was busy and it was excellent quality! Our waiter Russell was brilliant, professional but great fun too! Nothing too much trouble. Thanks, Will definitely come back!
A really good all round dining experience and a lovely oasis in the hustle and bustle of what is a busy tourist area. The staff were really helpful and the food was really very good, especially the cheese board which provided a great example of three lovely British cheeses. Would certainly recommend if you are wanting something special as a dining experience
Epic food!!!
Must visit for a Sunday lunch! Emilie our waiter was lovely. Food and service is great. Vegetarian options: Vegi roast Dietary restrictions: They have options for intolerance if needed.
Amazing experience, the food was Devine, me and my wife had the chateau briand. The staff was incredible and the building is beautiful. We would love to visit again.
Fantastic value set menu served up till 6:30pm. Delicious food with great service! Dietary restrictions: Menu fully detailed with common allergies. No need to ask
Great food, atmosphere, and service. Lamb was perfectly cooked with just the right sauces and sides. Nice presentation and portions. Attentive and friendly service without being intrusive or showy. Would recommend and return!
Such great food! Every dish was incredible and full of flavor. Plus wonderful wine options. Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free and folks with celiac.
I recently visited Loxley Restaurant & Wine Bar and it was an experience I wont soon forget. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the elegant atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff, making us feel very welcomed. The menu was a great! offering a perfect mix of classic favorites and exciting new dishes. Each plate was a work of art, both in presentation and taste. The wine selection was impressive too! What really stood out was the attention to detail in every aspect, from the ambiance to the service to the branded napkins. Loxley Restaurant & Wine Bar is more than just a meal; its a culinary journey that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a sophisticated yet comfortable dining experience.
Had a really wonderful experience here. The restaurant is cosy and beautifully decorated and has a really intimate feel to it. The service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience. And it goes without saying that the food was brilliant. Can t wait to go back.
Beautiful place right in the heart of stratford upon Avon fantastic food and service at a reasonable price
Had a great meal here. Scotch egg starter was fantastic and the steak perfectly cooked. What really impressed me was the excellent level of service we received. The waiter would always make sure we had a drink and even got another jug of water when we ran out. Would highly recommend
I am a picky eater when it comes to how well the seafood and meat are done. But in this case, the scallops was perfect and not overcooked and the lamb was nicely pink. You will need to eat the lamb first otherwise the taste deteriorates as it cools. Service was great and immediate with a good personal touch. In terms of atmosphere and environment, it was cosy and comfortable but the small space and rocky table let it down a bit. But overall a very good experience.
A recent stay in Stratford and we stumbled across Loxleys by accident: what a find! We experienced only excellent food, warm atmosphere and professional staff. Totally wonderful. Thank you Loxleys for helping to make our Stratford weekend fabulous!
Absolutely amazing.. atmosphere, service , food all 10 /10 .. I literally felt like someone like James Martin had cooked for me ! ( the chef is obviously as good ) Loved it !! Food
Excellent restaurant, service was fast and efficient but not over zealous. Food was amazing.
Nice place, the food is really good and the service even better. Enjoyed it a lot, looking forward to go back
We had an amazing dinner here, food was top quality. Service was great!
Excellent food and attentive service.
Cool place to hang out Cocktails with friends
Lovely lovely place, but sadly I can t get in this time I m coming unless they see my glowing review. The fish and chips in here are to die for. I m not wishing for a lottery win tomorrow just a table for 2 at Loxley s
Lovely place and atmosphere with great service. Went as a party of four and all of the staff were really attentive. Never had an empty glass. Menu was lovely and catered for all. Would certainly go again.
Gorgeous food service was done by Sam brilliant polite helpful
12/23 Repeated the Christmas/Sunday lunch visit we made last year. Unfortunately it was the weekend of the Stratford Christmas Market and it took us over an hour to find parking, so we were horribly late. However, it was no problem for the restaurant despite being really busy and they couldnt have been nicer about it. The food was great again (I had ham hock scotch egg followed by the roast beef) and the service was also excellent. Already looking forward to next Christmas! 12/22. Sunday/Christmas lunch with a group of friends. First visit for all of us. Everyone enjoyed every course - really excellent food and very friendly and efficient waiting staff. Not cheap and wine stupidly expensive, but thats the norm for this type of restaurant. I would have liked an extra plate for my discarded moules shells and a finger bowl but thats the only fault any of us could find. Highly recommended.
Great place for occasion coming from Birmingham.
