Bentleys is one of our favorite restaurants in Stratford. The menu has many, many awesome choices for young families. The atmosphere is always rocking and the staff is great.

Excellent food and service. Hadnt been in awhile and didnt fail us. Best burger of the summer. Walkability: Downtown Stratford. Food and drinks: GF had the cutlet with a beer from St. Marys. I had the pulled pork burger with Monterey Jack cheese and of course a Guinness. And a quick dash across the back parking lot to Rheo Thompson bf it closed.

We go to Stratford at least twice a year. The food menu is varied and we have all enjoyed it. They are always busy but the staff are very attentive and caring

Been going to Bentleys off and on for 30 years, whenever were in Stratford...I believe theyve been in business that long. Stayed in the lofts...amazing. Food is great, service is great. We stopped for a bite and some football a few Sundays ago. Service and food exceeded expectations, and our server Jess G was top notch. We will see you again soon!

The fish and chips were awful They were boxed frozen fish that was awful and soggy If I wanted grocery store fish and chips I would have eaten at home but I am sure I could have cooked them so the fish and batter was not soggy

Had a late lunch today and our server was inattentive and not at all friendly. Fries were ice cold and it took forever to get our server to have them replaced. Ended up just not having them. Disappointed as normally the food and service are great.

First time here on Friday Aug 23. Brooke W servered us at approximately 1245pm We had the Antojitos and Salmon and Crab cakes. And I also had the Caesar salad I have to say the flavours I tasted were 100% the BEST Ive ever had in any restaurant!!!! Food great Low wait times Brooke was Ace!! Loved everything about this restaurant! My best friend and I had stumbled upon this Gem while visiting in Stratford and we were so happy to find this cozy cool get Pub style restaurant! They had some really good vegan and vegetarian options my best friend had their Ravioli and I had their French Connection burger! Both were delicious. Service was 10/10 Thank you Allan for the great service!

This used to be a great restaurant but no more. Service is absolutely terrible. Our waitress was clearly in a bad mood and took it out on us. She came back to check on us once and left before I could ask for a refill. The cost of food has gone up more than other similar restaurants. This place used to be a regular stop on my visits to Stratford but no more.

Great food & service. Place was full, had to make reservations as there were 13 of us visiting St Jacobs over the long weekend. Loved everything we ordered which included Thai noodles, Beef burger, Fettuccine Alfredo and fish & chips.

It was the busiest Ive ever seen it and we still got our drinks and food in good time and it was delicious!

Its odd that there is no star rating for the food! The service is always incredible and all of the staff have so much patience. Its always busy the the team is always accomodating. Rooms are nice! Id give the food 3/5 for pub fare! Service : 5/5

We stopped in for a quick lunch on the patio because of its convenient location and quick service. The food is mediocre at best. Save your well earned cash and head somewhere else for a meal. Can t speak for the drinks as we didn t order any.

We regularly attend Stratford for the theatre, particularly the Festival Theatre. Weve mad e Bentleys Restaurant a regular eatery to hit before or after the show. There is a great atmosphere there and the service is always great. I had a pulled pork and hamburger meal on my last visit. Scrumptious!! No I dont take pictures of my meals but check it out if youre in town.

The Gourmet Burger was probably the best burger Ive ever had. It was flavourful, juicy, and the perfect size. I can see why it was so popular! The staff who served me were also very friendly and acommodating.

Stopped in without calling ahead, I know, ignorant right!? Well, yes, it was with 30 of a ball team from a tourney nearby. As we entered, the place was already pumping with other teams, but they were able to find us a spot easily. With slight confusion, our orders were taken and food delivered at a price point that larger spots would charge another 20 percent. Like my draught was 8 bucks... my blue cheese burger and beer were actually perfect, cooked just right, which I imagine is a challenge in a large joint like this. My daughter commented that her Reuben was literally the best she has ever had! High praise from a teen.

Such a cute little inn! Newly renovated and conveniently located in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay here again. I was worried that the noise from the bar would be heard in the rooms but everything was quiet. Food in the restaurant was good also!

Great curry

Service was fantastic! Best part of the visit , my partner and I both had different draft beer and both were flat with no carbonation at all. Tough to drink even. Had an appetizer and to say the least it was mediocre. Recommend for the service but not for the food or beer

Stopped in for after theatre dinner. Dined al fresco. The wait staff here maintain a consistent level of excellence. We were checked on at a good interval by our server and others. The hamburger and chicken sandwich were excellent and large servings. My friend requested and was served an off-menu shandy which was excellent. Bentleys continues to provide an consistent, yummy dining experience.

Great experience in the restaurant portion. We sat on the patio and the food and drinks were so good. I had the smothered chicken and it was wonderful, I paired it with the mini baked potatos and those were some of the best potatos Ive ever had, chicken was so moist and tasted amazing. I also had the fruit punch margarita, dangerous drink! Barely taste the tequila and it tastes just like juice (which is exactly how I like my cocktails) but the tequila is definitely in it! The one thing they couldve had was a sign that tells you how the seating works, it was a seat yourself situation and especially for the patio there was a line but others who didnt care about getting the patio or not got stuck in the line when there were tables open inside. The waitress kept having to inform the line and she was super busy already, she did amazing though!

We had a girls night out, theater then dinner. Had an amazing dinner, great service!! Will definately be back

Great food and great selection

Attempted reservations on their website for same-night room and were going to be charged double taxes. Went through Expedia and taxed correctly. Upon arrival at 6pm on busy Tuesday show night, called to find the free Inn parking. Was gruffly told we needed to come in to check in to get fob. No parking spaces so husband circled with car. I walked through loud, slammed restaurant to front of building where servers were not concerned about this lost lady and I had to raise my voice to get anyones attention to find the check-in desk. Soon someone came, and after completing paperwork she gave me a (literal) key and a garage door opener for parking which is a block away, a little piece of paper with a map of how to get to garage and told me to take a photo of a laminated flyer that showed picture of the garage entrance. Went up the stairs (no elevator) to the newly remodeled 2 singles loft room without a phone (or a/c?). Its a nice setup with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, sink, table for two, and desk with chair when you get in the door. The sofa bed thats mentioned online is actually a portable bed that has its very own closet near the kitchenette. The light switches for the can lights are everywhere and very convenient. Opposite the entrance is a sofa that comfortably sits three, if you like very firm sofas. Theres a coffee table, and the sofa faces a gas fireplace on which there is a flat screen TV (includes cable and the ability to connect to your own streaming accounts). Up the stairs are the beds and bathroom as well as another desk and chair. Like the sofa, the beds are extremely firm - not my fav. There was one pillow with a pillowcase on each bed and sheets but the bottom sheet wasnt fitted and came untucked throughout the night. Theres also a duvet and pillow with a sham. Since I need more than one pillow. I took the pillow out of the sham. The bathrooms very nice. Its clean and new. And includes single use, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Theres also a hair dryer. Everything looks new and clean except for some crumbs that were left in the tray on the coffee table. I was surprised to find there wasnt air conditioning - theres actually a little sticker on the climate control. There is a ceiling fan that has a wiggle to it and after applying some muscle, we were able to open the window near the sofa to let in fresh air. Unfortunately this also lets in the copious noise from the sidewalk restaurant seating downstairs as well as the traffic that is LOUD, ends late at night and begins very early in the morning. Personally, I slept poorly. My husband slept okay. We went to the restaurant last night for a drink and I ordered wings. The wings were good, though the rub was too heavy for me. My long island ice tea was great but my husbands half liter of Chardonnay was only 5 out of 10. The waitress was very nice and helpful, though when we were ready to leave, she was elsewhere and we had to wait to pay bill. Compared to the other experiences weve had in Stratford, this one does not come close to the level of friendliness and service oriented experiences weve had in our previous 4 days in Stratford. Tonight we will return to the Mercer where were not just another face shuffling though the establishment. Ive written this review while sitting on the couch and again I just have to say, THE TRAFFIC IS LOUD!! UPDATE: 9:41AM We missed a few things: A/C is a unit on the ceiling upstairs which my husband tried to turn on last night. We missed the black switch labeled AIR CONDITIONING thats rather high on the wall. I suggest the establishment leave a hint about this to newcomers. USB PORTS: Conveniently located on some of the *many* black outlets throughout the loft. IRON: Missing. NAPKINS/PAPER TOWEL: Missing. VISITOR BOOK: Being travelers, we shouldve looked for this, however after finding it in the desk drawer by the door we decided it wasnt much help; it didnt tell us about the a/c switch, for example. Also, its worth noting that traffic noise is not an issue if the window is closed. Nearby activities: Tons to do nearby like the Stratford Festival, a distillery, a Cat Cafe,*many* theaters, the river & River Walk and a lot of fun original stores! Nearly everything is in walking distance!

Food and drinks: The food was awesome. Friday night prime rib was done to perfection, and Georgia, our server, was so attentive and very welcoming . We will be back for sure. Thank you Bentleys for a great night.

I went here for lunch. I had the soup and 1/2 sandwich with a side ceasar salad. The soup was a creamy parsnip and apple. It was very tasty. The sandwich was a buffalo chicken wrap. It was made with breaded chicken and was pretty good. The ceasar salad was average. It could have used more dressing. The service was prompt and friendly. I would go here again if in the area.

Lots of options on the menu. Service was good even with how busy things were. Have been here for both dinner with friends and drinks with friends. Lots of room but it does get busy on a Saturday night which is a good sign!

The last time I stopped by for lunch it was great food, great service and a very clean restaurant. The staff is very courteous and also we didn t have to wait very long to be served. Another great time at Bentley s.

Food that actually arrives was good but we were disappointed with the service. We have waited 1.5 hours for food and it still hasn t arrived. Our appetizers took an hour. Give yourself plenty of time if you are seeing a show to avoid additional stress. We are about to cancel our order to be sure to get to our show in time. We thought 2 hours was plenty to eat and get there in time.

Went for supper last night, sat on the patio. I had the schnitzel, my wife the cobb salad. The schnitzel was ok but seemed like it was out of a box, my wifes Cobb salad, was also just OK but seemed a tad over-priced for a mediocre salad (spring mix and Costco bacon bits). The other couple we were with also had some issues, one asked for a water, when ordering a mixed drink but it took 2 more requests before it arrived. A beer that was ordered had some foreign goop in it that wasnt identified until a mouthful was taken and had to be spat out. This was our first and last visit here.

The best Inn, restaurant and bar in Stratford! The bruschetta with goat cheese is the best starter. You cant go wrong the cob salad with lemon dill avacdo vinegrette, Im my opinion it is an awesome salad.

Fabulous dinner! We found a table quickly (no hostess, so just seat yourself). The service was so quick & helpful. We ordered a Cobb salad to share & they even put it in 2 bowls for us. Their salad dressings are unique and delicious! Well be back.

WORST MEAL! The coconut lime Thai noodle is something I would be surprised if anyone liked. Mushy noodles in a salty gravy like sauce. Service was miserable and unhelpful in fixing the meal, it s bad when kids notice someone s attitude needs adjusting. Just a fyi I used to live in Stratford and have dined here for years, but I won t be going back! Edit: the few bites I had made me so nauseous it completely ruined my outing with family and I had to go home :(.. I am sooooo sick!!! :(

I literally got kicked out for dancing on St. Patricks Day, the band was great, if you want to dance and drink dont come to Bentleys, people having fun get kicked out full on truth. I bought two beers, OV. I think you need to drink more than two beers before you get kicked out. Maybe if I had a third I could have stayed

Went to the Bentleys bar and restaurant for a late afternoon lunch on a Friday. There was plenty of seating available which was clean and inviting. We were served promptly, though the waitress was not overly friendly. I ordered the turkey wrap and unfortunately was expecting real turkey but was lunch meat. The company I was with ordered fish and chips to which he was satisfied with. Price was reasonable.

After a lot of thought I feel I must address this issue. My wife and I have frequented Bentleys on numerous occasions and for the most part we have been quite satisfied. The visit before our most recent the food was served cold. On our most recent visit Thursday February 8th, we mentioned to our server about the issue of cold food. Oh that won t be a problem we aren t that busy was her response. I took this to mean that if you0 were there when it was busy getting hot food might just be a crap shoot. We ordered our food. It arrived nice and hot. The issue was my wife s order od sweet potato fries. It was a side to her salad. The dish was about the size of a small gravy boat with about 2 dozen fries in it. The cost for this little plate of sweet potato fries was $11.50. When we inquired about the outrageous price we were told very curtly that this was a premium side and was calculated by weight. That must have meant that they included the weight of the bowl as well. No attempt was made to adjust the price or increase the size of the order. We have always recommended Bentley s to other people, so now we have to attach the warning . Do Not Order the Sweet Potato Fries and don t go when they are busy.

We went to Bentleys for our traveling date night dinner. The steak dinner was well, it was food... they overcooked my steak. So .... it probably would have tasted better... the fries were soggy as they had the veggies beside them, and all the juice from the veggies made the fries soggy... for a $30 meal, I would not order it again if I ever went back... my wife had a chrispy chicken sandwich and said it was really good. She would order her meal again. The place was busy(which is good). Staff were great. The sunset martini was delightful. The best part of the whole thing was the gluten-free dessert. (It said apple rhubarb crisp. However, it tasted like just rhubarb and lacking apple.. still the best part.. it was gluten-free, so thats a plus in my books)

Decent spot with a good whiskey selection and classic pub food. Burgers and wings are solid.

I didnt go to the hotel part, just the restaurant. Food and drinks: We ate at the restaurant after seeing the lights show in Stratford. Food was great and cheap! I had the pulled pork quesadilla and it tasted amazing. Service was nice and friendly and overall great experience.

This restaurant was recommended by a lovely, helpful, local woman. Unfortunately we found her glowing recommendation to be reason for increasing concern as the night progressed. We absolutely adored the energy from our server, and can only wish the kitchen staff shared her enthusiasm and care about our experience. We struggled to find anything on the menu that would appeal to those with intact tastebuds. Pub food isnt generally known for strong flavors, or fresh/clean ingredients, but we should have left after the onion rings arrived with their side of BBQ ranch dip. The rings tasted of old fryer grease, and the dip was a chunk of ranch that sunk to the bottom of rancid watery ketchup based vinegar substance. Just wait! It gets worse! Our mains arrived and hesitation turned to regret. My boyfriend had the Bistro Burger. Although it is traditional for burgers to be cooked medium well, it appears that the chef fell asleep at the grill, as the burger he received was the texture and flavour of shoe leather. Even the numbing effects of a Moscow Mule, which didnt even come in a copper mug, were unable to make what was served seem appealing. Even leaving the establishment didnt end this nightmare as heartburn plagued him throughout the night. This concluded with a sickening finale in the morning that turned the bathroom into what I can only describe as Stratfords own Elephants Foot. Myself, I had the Smothered Chicken. The cheese had hidden gems of nicely flavoured and appropriately cooked mushrooms and small cuts of asparagus stems. The chicken underneath was almost entirely inedible. The breading carried the odour of fryer grease long past its prime, and the colour matched that of coffee beans. The vegetables that accompanied the dish could have been used as a prop on the set of one Stratfords finest productions, and may well be in such shape to do so until next season. They were nearly impossible to cut through and had a disappointing level of seasoning for market vegetables (as advertised) or a salad (closer to what they represented). They were accompanied by several full sized, roasted (overcooked), but well seasoned mini potatoes. Thankfully, common sense returned in time to skip dessert, and instead took a lovely stroll to the Shoppers for antacids and retired to our accommodations. Very grateful they were off site, as wed had enough surprises for one evening. The one shining star of the evening was our server. She was friendly and accommodating, and though Im sure she would have made every effort to improve our experience, we feel it was beyond her capacity to do so.

Always a good atmosphere, good food and great staff! We live quite locally so have never needed to stay over, but I hear good things about that too! Their patio is great in the summer. They re always hospitable and willing to cater for groups, families, and do whatever they can to make your visit a good one.

Meh. I was here in August and service and food was phenomenal, and it was busy went back on September service and food was not so nice and it was not so busy.

Im from Woodstock, this is where I make my 1-2 twice a year visit with my Clinton pal. We love inside and the patio, we love that we can sit there for hours and catch up, no pressure to move along. The chill atmosphere is perfect for our catch ups!

We went here for an anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. Good variety on the menu so that there was something for everyone. I had the ravioli, which was wonderful. Maybe a touch salty. Our server was attentive and it felt like the food came quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Would definitely recommend.

I was a little surprised at the seat yourself policy at this restaurant as they didnt post that or a please wait sign, but once I figured it out, there were plenty of seats and it was nice to find a spot I liked. Only place in town for great soup

A perfect establishment. Excellent service from employees who have been there for years (a rarity in restaurants). A large menu of lovely dishes all cooked well and made in house. Couldn t recommend it more!

This is the kinda place that would be my go-to-pub if I was living in Stratford. Its a cozy place, with a varied menu and lovely staff. I had a great time here, and the Wings with buffalo sauce that I tried were really good.

On my visit to Bentleys I ordered fish & chips and a half pint of Guinness. In my opinion the portion was small and the fish was missing something in the flavour category. I was in the restaurant after the dinner rush so it was slow but the service was great.

Awesome, fish and chips! Nachos were disappointing, totally standard store bought with cheese - for that price I expected better. Potato skins average, but it was nice cozy atmosphere! Nearby activities: Stratford Theater minutes away! Don t forget to drop into the Indigenous Art Gallery on the way to the theater!

We came for a hockey team meal between games. Our group was in and out in under 90 minutes, meals were delicious and servers were well organized. Very impressive and positive dining experience!

This was our first time here at this establishment. It was a packed reasturaunt. The food was awesome and the service was great. Not a bad thing I can say about this place. If you havent gone it is a must do.

Rooms: They were comfortable, clean stocked with all my needs Nearby activities: Everything was close and proper directions. Safety: Outside Doors were looked for clients safety. Halls were well lite. Exits were easy to see. Hand rails on stairs. Walkability: Easy to get to.. Food and drinks: Excellent food. Drinks were properly made. Service was great

the food was amazing, u can share ur meal and still be full. the service is fast and the staff is knowledgeable of each dish. there is a lot to choose from. there are also a lot of gluten-free and vegan dishes the only downfall is its popular so getting parking on weekends is kind of hard, but worth it.

Terrible server during the week. She had zero customer service skills and it was a painful experience. No tip from me.

Food and settings are top notch. There is no first come-first serve policy ,we had to wait longer to get a table. Tried antojitos, chicken fettuccine , smothered chicken and chicken flatbread.

Always the best bar! Great vibe, great drinks. I did have an Irish coffee, due to the winter weather. The coffee was tasteless unfortunately. Food and drinks: The apps are tasty!
