Had soup of the day, hot takeout. It was excellent. It hit the spot on a cold day.

First time here did not disappoint! I had the carrot ginger soup with sourdough bread and it was so good, very decent prices. I just wish there was an option for dine in so I could have sat down inside to eat.

Loved the soups! Wish we had similar here in Toronto. Could have at least a high table for people to eat inside - coz baby it s cold outside .

Amazing craft soups, tasty and great selection of fresh, piping hot soups to consume right away or large frozen selection too.

We got 4 frozen soups, just trying the first now, spicy chicken samosa and it is amazing!!! The service was wonderful, very helpful in choosing. I can t wait to try the other soups!!

First time customer and was a bit disappointed. Wish I could give half stars, as I would of given them a 3.5. Ordered the Moroccan tomato and chicken noodle. The Moroccan tomato was very delicious but heavily seasoned with cilantro which I am not a fan of. The chicken noodle flavour was spot on but again over seasoned with salt. Love the concept of all the frozen options. Will return to find my favourite.

Phenomenal experience! From the moment I stepped foot outside my car the entire street was filled with the smell of their amazing daily soups. I grabbed two frozen (Creamy Comfort Chicken and Maple Bacon) to make for my wife and I for dinner as well as a Chicken Noodle for us for lunch. Right off the hop the aromas, smells, and taste of the soup was hands down the best wed ever tasted. Coupled with the freshly toasted 12-grain bread, the entire experience couldnt have been better. Will be back for more!

My boyfriend and I ordered the Moroccan tomato soup for lunch. It was so flavourful. Absolutely delicious and perfect on a cold day! The homemade toasted bread was so good with the soup. Friendly service. We will definitely come back next time we are in Stratford!

My favourite restaurant! I don t even live in the area anymore but when I go back home it is one stop I have to make!! I am obsessed with the vegetable chilli, it is to die for!! The best staff, the best food, amazing location in the city, just all around the best!!! Can t say anything bad because there s nothing bad to say!!! Vegetarian options: I m vegetarian and the vegetable chilli is to die for!!!

Awesome food and awesome people here. I tried their all the vegetarian soups and it tastes really great. I got the chance to meet the chef and the owner he is awesome and he really makes food with passion. Keep doing what you do Soup Surreal is Awesome.

Amazing flavor and great homestyle soups. Were very picky when it comes to soup and were not disappointed. Great friendly service. We forgot a bag and the guy caught us a block away and gave it to us and gave us free cookies. Definitely check it out

Oh my goodness! This was the best choice we made for our wedding! Soup Surreal made all of the soup for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond making sure everything was perfect! I would highly recommend Soup Surreal, for an event or for easy delicious meals! We are still enjoying leftover soup!!

I am never disappointed at soup surreal. Their soups are very flavorful and clearly made with high quality ingredients. Their new takeout window setup is quick and efficient. I love their hot chicken noodle soup for a comforting lunch. Some of my other favorites are the Jamaican jerk chicken, creamy dilly spuddy and chicken samousa.

Best soup i ever had. If you haven t tried this , you are missing out and the prices are so reasonable.

Had your soup today as a first time customer. I have never had better soup in my life. Ever. The sourdough slice of heaven you served alongside your amazing soup makes me want to drive from London weekly. I will be back with more friends and family, as well as this will be my lunch stop at work when I come into town from time to time. I wish you could give 5+ stars for places that are a little more extraordinary.

You could smell it a block away, we chose the veg chili and sweet pea with sourdough toast, both are amazing. We also brought home the dillyspud and broccoli cheddar. Cant wait to try them too!

Guaranteed to have a good meal every time! By far the best soups Ive ever had. Owners are nice and locally-minded. Easy for take-away or has limited dine-in options (outside of Covid-19 closures of course)! By far one of my favourite places to eat in Stratford!

I wasnt expecting much tbh because how good can soup get?? But then answer is SO FREAKING GOOD. Oh my word. I got the Thai Peanut Broccoli soup, and tried some Creamy Dilly Spuddy and they were both 10/10. We also bought some frozen soup to take home and Im pumped!!

The soup that they make here is literally some of the most delicious soup that Ive ever tasted. Five stars and then some! I love bringing home Frozen containers and pretending that I created them. Its a win-win situation! Keep on doing what youre doing, your flavors are surreal!

We tried cheddar mushroom and coffee porter beef chili soup. First, I hesitated to try coffee beef chili, but OMG it was delicious! We will definetely come back to Stradford just for their soups! Highly recommended!

Great people, imagination and quality soups. Better than 90% of any soup served in restaurants at a fraction of the price. Freezes well so stock up! Great any time meal paired up with fresh bread.

The soup here is SO good! Always served hot and it smells amazing in there. Theres a nice variety of flavours and the staff is so kind and have good recommendations. Ive been to a lot of good restaurants but Ive never come across one specifically for soup until this one. Check it out!

Since day one we can t go without having their soup on the freezer for our cozy nights or busy days. Can t pick a favourite but, really, do we need to? Just amazing!

My wife and I made the three hour trek to visit Chef Derek and Ashley (should have been 90 minutes, but thank you 401 construction). Yet again, we have been amazed. We bought 18 frozen soups to take home, and I had a medium Thai Peanut Chicken to go (my first try). I am not a religious person whatsoever, but I swear, on this day I met Jesus. The flavor was out of this world. The next day my wife cooked up the Split Pea and Ham. Again, fantastic!. I am waiting to try one of the soups I really do not care for. However, this was our third trip to get soup to take home, and I am still waiting. Great soup, great service, and such nice people.

My fiancé and I just moved to Stratford back in April and we love soup. She didnt order anything (shes picky) but instantly regretted it as she tried the mushroom cheddar. So I shared it with her of course. Gotta say that was bomb! Friggin good! Delicious!

This is THE PLACE if you want to eat soup. Any kind of soup! The flavours are varied, intense, and delicious; the staff are wonderful and so friendly; and with the option of stocking your freezer or eating them day-of, you can eat soup around the clock and live your best life. Perfect for a light lunch or something to bring to a new mom or a sick pal. Cant recommend enough.

Super service. Delicious, made-from-scratch soup selections you can order hot or take home frozen to eat later at home. The sour dough bread/toast served with the hot soup is a perfect side dish.

This place has wonderful soup! You might wonder about the viability of a restaurant that just does soup -- but it works! A bowl of their soup, along with a piece of the very good bread that they serve with it, makes an excellent lunch! Ill definitely return here the next time Im in Stratford.

Tons of frozen take home soups to choose from. Daily hot fresh soups too. Always great flavour and reasonable prices. Too many to pick a favourite. They also have certain ones only at certain times of the year (corn, strawberry etc).

The name says it all! The soup really is surreal. We happened by this place on a bacon and ale trail and ended up sampling the new mushroom soup. It was so great we took some home. Along with a maple bacon and potato and cheese soup. Definitely worth the pit stop if youre in the Stratford area!

A local favourite. 3 different soups a day, sour dough and whole grain bread to dip. Frozen soup to take home. I live on soup surreal in the winter and Im mostly okay.

Every time we are in Stratford we stop for lunch at Soup Surreal. The variety is suitable to all tastes and the soups are hearty and quite filling. Everything is prepared on site with usually five or so available each day. They have various flavours frozen and available for take home re-heating.

Excellent food, excellent service, and a varied menu both for eat in and takeout, featuring locally baked bread. Will definitely visit again next time Im in town!

Always taste amazing! Fresh soups available every day it is open for dine in or takeout or frozen! Also very environmentally conscious in considering eco friendly packaging and lowering the use of plastics. Great lunch for with downtown convenience.

Delicious freshly made soups you can pick up daily. (I sometimes order over the phone ahead of time if I know theyre going to sell out of a popular soup that day.) Plus, you can grab frozen soups to go as well to enjoy at home!

I used to go here almost three times week during lunch at school. Sadly since the schools merged its very far and I cant do that anymore. Ive always loved this place and when I went today nothing changed since my visit last june. Still run by incredibly friendly people, amazing quality soups and lots of choices of warm and frozen.

All their soups are droolworthy. My personal favorite is the chilli (meat variety) but have tried many others. I would also like to mention all the people working behind the counter and in the kitchen, all are super friendly and happy to help and have a great sustainability program with recyclable and compostable containers and spoons.

I love this place. I was looking for a Vegan option in Stratford and stopped by. Since then my business takes me through quite a bit and I have stopped many times. Love the Beet soup but I have not had one i didnt like. I will always grab a few for the freezer also. If you like soup Vegan or not it is the place to stop!

I work in Stratford and it is a hub for great eats! With so many options available, I find myself coming back to Soup Surreal time after time. Their soups are AMAZING and there are always different varieties available everyday. Something for everyone despite your dietary needs and they even serve chilled soups on those hot summer days. The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff are awesome. I highly recommend Soup Surreal if you are a fan of comfort food!!

An amazing selection of fresh and frozen soups with a large number of both vegetarian and carnivore options. Soup Surreal also shows up at the Farmers market on Sundays where we also picked up a couple of frozen soups to bring home after the weekend in Stratford. The roasted red pepper coconut soup is a real tasty winner!

Small little place with only 4 tables and one outside but when not busy its a great place to sit and have some wonderful tasty soup.

Soup Surreal is my favorite place for a quick bite of lunch. The owners Derek & Ashley pour a whole lot of love into their work. I appreciate how conscientious they are of food sensitivities and how they offer a quick, affordable and healthy alternative when youre on the run. I appreciate their collaboration with other local businesses (local corn tortillas, Downie Street Bakehouses fantastic sourdough) and support in the community in general. Highly recommend!

This place is a must stop spot in Stratford. They only do soup, but they do soup well! Dine in, take out, or purchase frozen and enjoy on a rainy day at home. The couple that runs this restaurant put their soul into the food and it shows. Will come back here every time Im in Stratford.

Home made soups made with all natural ingredients. So many soups fo choose from. All soups are available for take home ( frozen) and a selection of soups are available hot fresh for the day.

Even though Im not much of a soup person, I really enjoy their soups. Grilled Peach Cobbler & Coffee Porter Beef Chili are favorites.

Wonderful place! Great soup. They have several wonderful soups and lots more frozen for take out. The soup is made in house and they have freezers full of it. From soups with meat to vegetarian and even vegan! We stock up nearly each time were in Stratford. They also have a soup card and a score sheet where you can log what soups youve tried. Delicious!

Great place to go after wandering the streets and visiting shops. I had the coffee, Porter stout chilli. It comes with a piece of toast and nacho chips. Hit the spot. Id definitely go again on my next visit.

Always delicious soup here, they have 4 flavours that change every day, sometimes they have chili or cold soup, and theyre elaborate, nicely flavoured mixtures. Always an amazing flavour in every bite. Prices go up to maximum $8 on the dollar for take-out or dine-in soup. 100% worth it.
