Great music, burgers and people

Trash atmosphere typical of old taverns. Probably one of the best Burgers Ive eaten in my life... wow with excellent fries. A nice surprise.

Food was amazing. Only thing I wasnt pleased about was being directed to what i thought was the womens bathroom..to see a all gender sign... luckily no biological males walked in. Shame seeing amazing the food was .

Try the buffalo chicken poutine!

Love this dive bar!!!! Fantastic bar food. Probably the best burger in Sudbury. It is also a great venue, although the sound system is not great.

They have a great vegan menu (just ask and they will bring it for you) and they always have the ingredients (not the case in some places)! The staff is always nice, like your friend is your server. Theres a patio for those summer months, perfect after a visit at the market for a quick drink and snack!

Food is always delicious. Definitely the best burger you can eat in Sudbury. Fries are super good too, definitely not frozen!! Service is excellent and fast.

The food was delicious. Went to the after-hours or the Bloom festival and the bands playing were amazing. Is a bit uncomfortable having to leave the table to be able to see the bands. Also bad they only accepted cash.

Went for lunch, music was loud, watch were you sit. But good music. Not a fan of kids at a tavern running around but.... Service was ok. Food: MOJO burger delish, butter bun a bit greasy and Cajun fries could use more Cajun, but good. Great beer and cocktail choices. Typical. Food

Order take out for the Barrie Colts - OHL. Burgers & fries were very good. Quality meat patty and fresh cut fries with a chipotle-type dip was fantastic. Portion was significant which is important when feeding hockey players, not one request for more food after this meal. Our one coach who ordered the vegan burger claimed it was one of his fav, all-time. Organizing with staff was quick, efficient and easy. Hockey team managers I highly recommend you order out or dine in after your game/tournament in Sudbury!! Quality meals for athletes means better athletes! Great music and drinks.

It has been a long time since eating inside but always had amazing experiences when going. Was the go to place to end a night of fun and binge eat. Most recent experiences have been ordering out and so far food is great as always. I had the mistake of accidentally ordering pick up rather than skip and wondering why my food didnt arrive.. someone gave me a very friendly courtesy call reminding me of the order. Super friendly staff over the phone. Cant wait to get back into the restaurant. The atmosphere and live music was always a treat!

Best burgers in town

I am assuming this place has been around for a while. It was suggested by a local resident when I was visiting town last weekend. There is a good selection for vegans so I would say thats a good benefit. Other than that, good selection of beer on tap, which would be expected at any bar and grill. ample seating, and street parking.

A bit on the pricier side, but the food is amazing and so are the workers!

Quick stop through town and walked into this dive. Didnt expect much but they did everything right! Staff were friendly and attentive. Burger and Cajun fries were spot on. Honestly, if youre a burger lover this is a great place!

First time back here in a year. Came back to have a drink and bite. Staff had no desire to come to table and ask if we wanted anything to drink, or even bring a menu. Came to wipe table next to us, looked at us like why are we here. Sat for 10 minutes. Both staff looked at us, and continued not acknowledge us. We left. I used to work at this establishment years ago, and it was nothing short of disappointing. Maybe I ll try again in a year.

hands down the most relaxing place to sit and have a few drinks and bite to eat with your friends! would recommend to anyone looking to just sit and chill

$18 for a dry burger and still have to pay extra for cheese and cant even be arsed to put some condiments in the burger.

Service sucked because I got my drinks 20 minutes after I ordered

Expensive but the Food is pretty damn good. Sometimes the Gravy tastes burnt. And usually up to hour wait times for pick up orders. But nonetheless, its worth wait. Highly recommend the portabello mushroom sliders.

We ordered takeout and it was phenomenal! Cant wait to order again. Havent dined in yet, maybe this summer.

Amazing food !

We were well received by the place, we were invited by a festival called La Slague and this is where the after party was. We were here in 2017 also. Great venue for bands.

Great place for some food and drinks. I had the burger with almonde butter. Never thought that could work but it really did. Worth checking out!

Great spot for burgers with a bunch of variety to pick from. For sides we tried their spiced fries which had nice flavour but were a little overdone. Service was a little slow for how busy things were but overall still had a good time. Looks like it would be a great spot for live music so it s too bad we missed out on that.

Best burgers in town with a great draft beer selection to pair with them! Lots of live music and some indoor games to play if youre waiting. The patio is decent on those nice sunny days. Good options for any taste. Vegetarian options: Beet burgers and portobello burgers and delicious too Parking: Lots of spots across the street

If you re a band looking to play here, you ll be very happy you picked here. This bar is so kind enough to provide musicians with a meal and two free drinks, all very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely wish I lived here to play here more.

A welcoming spot for a relaxed night out. Its a classic neighborhood tavern with a friendly atmosphere, cold drinks, and traditional pub fare.

There is no safe space for women & children at the Townehouse Tavern. There is however a safe space for Men but not women & small children. Adults will have to guard their children when they use the washroom.

Heard they had amazing burgers had to check it out and try it, was delicious. Fries were good too especially with any seasoning free. Drinks we re decently priced. Service was good waitress said she had been there for years due to being a good place. Was upset they didn t have the same patio as last year or two ago with umbrellas and lights.

Met a friend and had some great burgers and fries! Wonderful service, food and company! Thanks!

Best burgers in Towne! Dont sleep on the chicken sandwich either...or the deep fried pickles...or the deep fried oreos....unless you have high cholesterol.

The food is fantastic but having to pay a 10$ cover to order some food togo is crazy. One of the go to places when were in town but Im not sure its worth it on a Friday or Saturday if youre looking for takeout

Local pub, great environment, I dont drink craft beer but heard they have good choices all the mixes Ive tried are well done. Food is amazing, all the burgers are great, nuggies and deep fried Oreos are my favorites. Great spot for local music, generally more rock oriented but also a great venue for any show thats booked.

I love the food, its really nice to be able to have a decent gluten free bun rather than a lettuce wrap.

Came to celebrate my birthday with my mom, who had never been to the Townehouse. We had exceptional service from Kayla B! Food was amazing (I had a lettuce wrapped euro burger with a Caesar salad which is pictured with this review (highly suggest if you like/love bacon!) and my mom had the sliders). Mom s first time but certainly won t be her or my last time here. Thank you Kayla!

Burgers are delicious and great service! Cant say much for anything else as I only tried their burgers.

Ive come here twice so far with friends and both times I had a blast. The food is fantastic! The only thing barring me from giving it 5 stars is that the food can take quite a while to leave the kitchen sometimes and that the interior of the place isnt the greatest. But with the taste and flavor of the food it definitely deserves 4 stars at least.

Fantastic food experience. A little aged indoors and you can tell its definitely a hometown kind of place. Out of towners, dont be turned away by the look of it, the food is top notch and made with care. Eating outside can be nice as well on good days. Highly recommend the burger made just the way its recommended!

We walked in and almost walked out, looks like a run down bar and we were there with kids. We decided to sit on the patio which was fun, the waitress brought out a giant connect 4 for the kids to play, as well as bean bag toss. The service was great, our waitress was cute and super nice and helpful with suggestions. The real win here, was the food! Great place for vegans to eat with their carnivore friends, extensive vegan menu. I had the corn dogs and side poutine with their house made Chipotle aioli recommend by our waitress, and it was fantastic! She also recommended the deep fried oreos which we shared as a table because we were all so stuffed. Will definitely be back next time Im in Sudbury, what a gem!

Towne house is an excellent place to go for dinner. Server was absolutely amazing. I was actually surprised with how good the service was. I wish I knew her name because she was such a lovely young lady! Music was good. Food was a little pricey but worth it as it was excellent. The only thing I dislike is the bathroom is gender neutral and would rather go in a womens washroom. Other wise still deserves 5 stars!

Bar closes early

Took an hour for two burgers. Then half way through our cold burgers a mouse Ran across the floor in front of us. Never going there again!!! Health sudbuy checked on Jan 17th 22. bs!

Place is falling apart with mold by the windows. Building is in need of some serious renovations. Very dry burgers and the wrong burger was brought out for one of us. They had no mint for the speciality mojitos on their menu and they had probably the worst nachos Ive ever eaten. Luckily its hard to mess up beer.... Vegetarian options: Had lots of vegetarian options. One of us had the vegetarian corn dogs which were good.

SO GOOD!! I did the Anchor (Buffalo Chicken) burger and absolutely blown away. The chicken was perfect, tender, breaded with in house magic and that sauce is mental.. raised the bar for me big time and highly recommend.

Ordered via delivery service on a Friday night. Order was for a poutine, a Superstack burger, and nachos. Wait time was minimal - about a half hour. Presentation was fantastic! Loved the custom nacho box - the nachos looked like they had just come out of the kitchen. Superstack burger was super and stacked. They say its the best burger in town, and Ill admit its a contender for sure. Fantastic job, Towne House! Edit - I forgot to mention that the gravy for the poutine comes in its own container, so you dont wind up with soggy poutine when it arrives. Its little touches like that that will make me come back.

Nice chill atomosphere, and a large patio section. Nearby train tracks are noisy, but that cannot be helped. The fried dill pickles are really good, and the olive & mushroom tapenade is delicious.

Lots of space. Great waitress who was very flexible :) also, gender neutral bathrooms are a great inclusive touch, bravo!

This sudbury based pub has a fantastic menu. For me, they are a top 5 burger joint in the province and I have tried a lot of burgers. If you visit sudbury you have to plan a visit to this restaurant and order a burger!

Looking for a quick bite before a long drive we found this place. We had come from the train so it was very convenient. The food was a little expensive but the burger I got was very tasty. It had a Wasabi sauce. My friend also liked his. We didnt drink because of the drive but the bar looked well stocked.

I enjoyed an evening at the Townehouse outdoor patio on Friday August 13th. The food and the company were fantastic. Service was a bit slow and they forgot to bring out my beer at first. I still had a great time and will definitely return.

Great staff, and equally great food. The place is accessible from the back. They have seating outside and there is enough seating with umbrellas. The service was quick and the staff was super chill. They were dilegent with Covid-19 measures like masks and sanitisation. Would recommend. Portions are good as well.

Google says this is the best burger in Sudbury. So here I sit just having finished one of the best burger/fry combo Ive had. Cute little waitress was friendly and good at her job. I just had the basic 4oz done to order. Quality fresh beef, squishy-fresh bun and nicely crisp add-ons. I wasnt sure what all the napkins she brought me were about. Yeah, I used every one of them. I will be back....with friends! Outstanding!

They have a vegan menu, was open late. Notified staff needs to be vegan 100% Food tasted great, and was made quickly.... But may have been made with dairy based products as I had terrible stomach aches and was quite sick for the whole day afterwards.
