Excellent dumplings, mapo tofu, dim sum items! The BBQ pork buns were soft and pillowy, and the filling was just right. Vegetarian options: Tons Kid-friendliness: No problems with the 5 kids we brought there tonight.

Bad service. Server don t even offer water the entire time. Not authentic Chinese food, but the choice in Sudbury is limited anyway.

Ordered take out. Picked up. Once I got home noticed order was missing items. Call the restaurant. And the said was sorry and we will pay more attention next time. Its really expensive restaurant you would think they would try to fix the error. Wost part was they didnt pack any sweet sour for the chicken balls. Complete waste of 20 dollars for the chicken balls. Kids will not eat them with out it. Do not recommend there are other better Chinese restaurants.

Weve lived in Asia for almost 20 years and this spot nails the real thing. Our host (Ryan?) was amazing. We had a chance to meet the chef and she was so sweet and proud of her amazing food. Would highly recommend this place particularly their fried and steamed dumplings.

Food was absolutely disgusting, ended up feeding it to the dog.. the sweet and sour sauce was watered down and tasted awful, nothing had any flavour to it and we ordered a 4 person meal and got only 1 small packet of soy sauce!! Worst experience ever and a total waste of 75$ we spent there. If I could I would give negative stars

We live around the block from 7 star and figured we would order online to pick up, and not use skip the dishes to save the fees and tip. We figured we try them again after a couple of lack luster performances in the past. Their online order for pick up asked for a tip! So we chose to give them a 15% tip because we didnt want to get a lack luster or poor serving of food from not tipping before you get your meal. The beef broccoli/ garlic had a good flavor but the house special fried rice seemed under cooked and lacked meat but had lots of frozen mixed vegetables. The moral of this story is....Dont step over a dollar to pick up a dime! We saved 2$ for a lack luster meal compared to our regular place.

Ordered take out. Both chicken dishes were barely edible. Bone dry rubbery over cooked. Lemon chicken had no flavour and barely any lemon sauce. Sesame chicken had flavour which helped with issues already mentioned. Had this been dine in both would have been sent back.

Our family of 4 and another family with two kids were traveling together and made a stop in Sudbury for dinner as our kids love dumplings and noodles. When we arrived and asked for a table for 7 (3 adults and 4 kids), it seemed to take a long time for the employee to suggest a table to sit (there were two large tables and there was only one other family of 3-4 people). We even had to keep saying 3 adults and 4 kids and the person seemed to have difficulty comprehending. She managed to suggest a large table in front of the cash, so we sat down. It took a while for us to get menus, and to get another chair (as there are only 6). When asked for drinks, we had waters all around. She brought them to our table and said something to the effect of asking us to be careful not to spill because of the kids . They are kids ranging from 3-6 years of course they re going to make a mess somehow! I then asked for spoons and she said they ran out. When we were stating our food order, she kept glaring at the kids who were grabbing the ice from inside the plastic cups to eat. Then when she brought plates and cutlery, I asked for chopsticks and I said 3 for the adults. She seemed to have a hard time with us asking for chopsticks and she said she wasn t sure she had enough. This is a Chinese food restaurant ? When our food arrived, they kept handing it to us at one end of the table, like they were incapable of moving to the other end to put the 5 dishes on the tables. We had to keep passing them down our selves to make room. We also asked for spoons for the kids and for the fried rice because it would be hard to eat it off of plates with forks. This rice was very dry and did not stick together at all, unlike other fried rice which tends to be fluffier. The server brought us back forks. In terms of the food, the pan fried dumplings were almost burnt on the bottom. I ve never had them so crispy and dry on one side. Had I known, I would ve ordered them steamed. We also tried ordering their har gow and siu mai and they said they didn t have any. They drive it in from Toronto, so if no/one gets it then they don t have it..? So they only had one or two things from their appetizer menu which are dim sum dishes. We re from Toronto and very familiar with authentic Chinese food restaurants. I was hoping that this would be similar from their menu listing, and the pictures from their website. The food looks nothing like the pictures. On top of that, it didn t taste great, but was ok. The beef and broccoli had a ton of broccoli and hardly any beef, and was a strange colour. The shrimp lo mein was one of the better dishes that the kids really enjoyed, but had a far too strong of a soy sauce flavour IMO. The sesame chicken tasted more like a sweet and sour. And again, the fried rice was super dry and the dumplings were hard/overcooked one one side. Being Asian myself, I had higher expectations of the food, but that combined with the bad service, left a bad taste in my mouth. They were stingy with the napkins and takeout containers for our leftovers, and the hostess/server kept giving the stink eye to he kids, who I admit were rambunctious, but again, are quite young and overall, sat down while eating until they were finished. there was no-one else in the restaurant at this point so I didn t see a problem. we didn t leave a tip. I never do that, but the entire experience was terrible. Young kids will likely make messes when eating, and this is a family restaurant. If you don t want kids in it, then put up a sign saying so. and after a 3 hour drive, I think the kids did very well!

This place is crazy good. It s our second time here. The shredded pork with chili is a a silent assassin, but the flavour will fill your senses with Asian ecstasy. If you find yourself in Sudbury, YOU GOTTA EAT HERE. If Ryan is working, get ready for one of the nicest dining experiences you may ever have.

Out of town, looking for a good restaurant: this place hit the spot. Fast, friendly service for our sit down meal. Dishes arrived quickly, directly from the wok. The food was excellent. I will eat here again if I m ever back in town.

Enormous serving of hot and sour soup was a great accompaniment to delicious homemade pork and chive dumplings. Kids very happy with broccoli and lemon chicken. The staff is very personable and sweet. It was very fun to be also served by a smiling robot. Prices are reasonable. Thanks for a great dining experience!

We ordered the Pork and Chinese Cabbage dumplings, and the Mixed Seafood dumplings, both pan-fried. Food came out hot and fresh; service was fast and friendly; prices were good ($12.99 for 10), and dumplings were amazing! Would highly recommend if youre in the area.

Food was great but our experience was completely ruined by the older, hunched-back lady, not sure of her name. My girlfriend had placed the order online and told me it was under my name. I arrived at the cash and was asked what the order number was. I apologized and said I didnt know. I gave her both my full name and my girlfriends phone number (both of which were on the receipt, I had checked afterwards). The older lady gave me a scowling look, muttered a couple things under her breath, and gave me dirty looks the entire time she was looking for my order. I understand that this can get confusing when busy, but there was one table in the restaurant and they had already received there food, and there was literally only my take out order. The worst part of this whole ordeal was that she brought my order to me, extended to give it to me, but once I reached for it she pulled it back. She then began aggressively scolding me saying you NEED to say the order number next time or else you wont get your food while simultaneously swinging my bag of food around. You guys have been on regent for a very long time and your food has been a staple in my take-out experiences, but this lady is newer as I dont remember her from years ago. You guys have excellent food but you need to do something about that crusty old miserable lady out front. Im not the only person who has had negative experiences because of her. Maybe stick her on dishes or something away from the customers because she is for sure ruining your business reputation.

I normally have had a very good experience with Dumpling house and their variety of different dishes. Today was food I had very super runny, cold and messy as I opened the bag . I am disappointed in the food received and could not enjoy my dinner.

This Chinese restaurant is the real deal just take a look at the number of Chinese customers, and youll know its legit. If youre feeling a bit overwhelmed by the menu, go for the pan-fried dumplings, try the eggplant, or go all-in with Combo 4. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

I was really looking forward to these Asian dumplings a few weeks ago and when I walked in and placed my order for two types of dumplings, I was content in waiting for almost 20 minutes to get them. When I came back to my hotel to tuck in, I did and I was disappointed. One set of dumplings was like mush. There was no dumpling - it just fell apart. It tasted ok and I was hungry, so I ate the mush. The other set was a little better but not by much. At least the dipping sauce tasted great. I dont know if I showed on an off night - everyone experiences this from time to time and maybe its just my turn. I might try them again should I get that craving but if its the same result next time, it will be my last time.

The YuXiang eggplant and Mapo tofu was not so good. Specially, the eggplant tastes like soaked in vinegar which I have never tasted in my life. I ordered tour times in the restaurant and didnt have a very good experience once (all dishes ordered are satisfying). So I wont recommend this restaurant.

Perfect little restaurant for personal or business, with quiet music in the background making for a comfortable atmosphere, perfect for dining. This was my first visit and it will not be my last. About the food: Well priced Amazing portion size Tender and moist meats (we had beef, chicken and pork) Veggies were cooked firm and to perfection. Speedy service and awesome staff!! I will definitely be returning.

From the cook to the hostess this restaurant is perfect for an authentic meal highly recommend wonton noodle soupe with their chili oil thank you for the fantastic service! Also if you like spice highly recommend giving their hot spicy Sichuan style chicken a try!

Very disappointed!! I and my husband came all way from other town to have dinner at 8:00 pm. We have been told that we can t dine-in at 8:00. But it s showing it closes at 9:00 in the site. Senseless! I never recommend this place.

The service is really bad. From the moment you walk in until you pay the bill, no one pours water, and no one asks how the food tastes. But when dealing with Western guests, they are busy pouring water and asking with smiles how the food tastes. There is a male and a female waiter. They don t have much expression on their faces. When paying the bill, they stare closely at the POS machine to see if you leave a tip. I left a 15% tip and I will never stop coming back again.

Ive always ordered from the south end location and Ive never had any issues but decided to do the new sudbury one because its closer big mistake they missed half our order that we had already pre Paid for my husband had to go back in 4 times because they kept missing items and tried to charge him again by the time I got home my food was cold waited over an hour for them to fix all the mistakes for a take out order we placed very early in the day to be ready at 4:30 to beat the rush they were completely un organized multiple people were calling to complain there orders were missing items and not right and the owner wasnt even at the restaurant so needless to say I wont be ordering again very very disappointed and not pleased in the slightest

The food is a solid 4 always, and sometimes its a 5. Unfortunately, 50% of the time, they listen to your requests (for example, no bean sprouts in the noodles, please), and 50% of the time they dont... not the end of the world, just a bit frustrating. Id be more concerned if it was an allergy thing, though!

My wife and I were craving for some good Chinese food during our long road trip from east coast to west coast and we found this hidden gem online. By looking at the pictures and dishes, I know it wont be disappointing. We ordered the spicy sour soup, cabbage and pork dumplings, pan fried chicken and fennel dumplings. The soup is 1 of the best I have ever had, and the dumplings are absolutely delicious! Its so good that we ordered extra dumplings and fried rice for the meal next day!

Let me tell you about my trip to the 7-Star Dumpling House in the South End. It was -40 with the wind today, and I wanted something Hot & Hearty to forget all about that. On the menu I see an item with not 1, but 2 spicy spice emblems, meaning ARE YOU SURE ? LIKE THIS IS A VERY SPICY DISH Challenge accepted. The ever friendly waitress came back to, again, warn me that this dish is very spicy Undettered I was served a (huge) bowl of Spicy Boiling Fish Soup. It was hot. Not painfully hot, but defenitly left a small film of sweat on my scalp & forehead. (Dont push yourselves, they are right to warn folks) I then forgot all about the -40 weather, and enjoyed the warmth of the meal and the subtleties of flavours of the broth and of course the fish which worked well and was not over powered by other ingredients in the soup. I enjoyed every bite, took the leftovers home and my mouth is still hot hours after eating. 10/10 would try this dish again. Very very good

Awesome authentic cantonese style cooking. Place is clean and well kept. You wont be disappointed. I ordered char sui bao, green onion pancakes and sui mai. Will definitely be back.

The issue I have with this place. Is they seem to argue when u have a issue with there small take out at outrages prices. Went back in person. Very rude. Unprofessional. And argumentive. Dont go there. Alternative. Go to the oreint. Up the road. For take out. That twice this place has done this to me.

The boiled fish soup was good, very hot and filling. The portion is meant for two but I ate it all myself. Probably won t order this again since the heat was achieved with dried peppers which I had to constantly pick out of the soup.

Really nice meal here, got the house beef dumplings and the flavour was very tasty. Also had the chicken lo mein, and the noodle texture was very satisfying. I didn t even have any leftovers to take home! Also very clean and service was on point. I would eat here again!

Best Chicken Fried Rice and Sesame Chicken I ve ever had, the Mapo Tofu with Pork is rich, spicy, and delicious. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful, and the one who cashed us out even packed our leftovers for us. Wonderful establishment, great food, and great people. Thank you so much!

The general tso chicken on okayyy ... Ive had better and for the price they gouge you with for the portion size is absolutely ridiculous to say the least I was just there 15 mins ago for take out and my husband got the fried wantons 12 PC can fit in his hand and the portion of meat in them were the size of my baby finger nail and that aint big at all throughly disappointed guess Ill be going back to OKinawa sushi there food is way better can say much for their service but the food is good and thats what counts

Ive eaten at this restaurant twice and my objective review is: its considered authentic among Chinese restaurants in Canada. The best thing to eat is the spicy chicken, which is very fragrant and tender, not spicy and slightly numb; the second is the stir-fried green beans, which is delicious and not salty; the dry pot cabbage is good and goes well with rice; the dumpling filling is slightly salty and the skin is too thin; the hot and sour pepper soup There was too much rice noodles and it was too spicy; the large intestine noodles were actually rice noodles and had an average taste; the boiled fish was pangasius and had an average taste; the mapo tofu was good but a bit spicy; the sizzling beef was acceptable, not as amazing as recommended. The only drawback was that I ate a caterpillar in the dish, which affected my mood. Overall, its an okay store.

Only reviewing the food because I got takeout. Chicken wings and diced chicken tasted great, but the spicy eggplant was so bad. The sauce for the eggplant was so sour that I couldn t finish the dish. I d stick with meat dishes and don t recommend that eggplant dish.

First time eating stuffed dumplings...dim sum. I enjoyed them. Hubby did not. Typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere retailing a lot of take out meals, so the coming and going of delivery staff and loud chatter was distracting. I would return to try a different dish.

I visited this restaurant twice post-Covid. During my first visit, I dined in with friends and ordered the pan-fried beef with onions. The dish was excessively salty, to the extent that we could visibly see and taste the salt on the meats exterior. We attributed it to a possible mistake by the chef and refrained from leaving negative feedback on Google. My second time was for a delivery order today, and we decided to give the pan-fried beef another chance, along with some Ha Gow (shrimp dumplings). This time, the beef was better, as it wasnt as salty as before. However, we encountered an issue with the Ha Gow they were stuck to the wax paper beneath them, and when we tried to remove them, the dumplings came apart, almost like the entire covering of the Ha Gow.

Had a wonderful experience at 7 Star this week! I ordered the pan fried pork and fennel dumplings, pork and cabbage house dumplings, and the Singapore noodles. All were delicious! Dumplings are made in house which is an added bonus. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely adding this restaurant to my list of stops in Sudbury when visiting.

YALL NEED TO TRY THE NOODLE SOUPS HERE, PLEASE. I ordered takeouts and they were the beef with cabbage noodle soup and pork and preserved cabbage noodle soup and omg both of them were amazing. Super savory and so so flavorful, the portions were freakin huge, the beef is super tender, the noodles (which were what i was worried most about) were extremely soft and slippery and it soaks up all the flavor from the soup, they were undercooked or hard at all. Overall noodles soups are very authentic and yall try it please

First time there. Dumplings were awesome, food was fresh and served hot. Portions were huge, brought lots home. Best Chinese we have had.

Food was decent, slightly smaller portion than Id expect for the price. Atmosphere okay. Waitress was pushy and rude.

First time ordering from here and not a good experience at all. They forgot items in our $60 delivery order and when I called I was told there was nothing they could do about it. No refund offered at all either paid $60 for $20 worth of food. As a takeout/delivery business you should be checking to make sure all items in an order are accounted for and you should be trying to rectify any mistakes made. The only good thing to eat ended up being the egg rolls. Very poor customer service and we will not be ordering again.

What a pleasant surprise. I travel for work and have been to many Chinese restaurants across the USA and now up in CAN. Hands down, the best Chinese food Ive had longer than I can remember. Everything tasted fresh and reminded me of homemade food. I would come back in this area just to eat here again. I had the wonton soup, fried crab wonton, pan dumplings, and dry fried shrimp noodles. I travel, so I got extra for leftovers for tomorrow, and Im glad I did.

I think that this place is pretty much overpriced. Food was ok but not great.

Amazing prices. Great food. Our server Chihchien was unbelievable. She was alone and was constant at the table, maintaining communication. She was very sweet and attentive. She handle her night so well, it was busy and big groups. Outstanding, will go there again for sure.

Tried First time. Chicken Fried Rice was bland. No flavour at all not even salt and pepper and chicken was chewy. Noodles was Good though with tender chicken and nice mild flavour to it. Not sure if i want to try next time.

I own my own restaurants and I know the importance of customer service and specially when you have dine in customer. This lady was super wack and should have a lesson in customer service!! Real sorry for this one , but this is the worst Chinese food Ive ever eaten. Noodles , showed up not cooked and no flavour. Chicken ball batter was so dense and flavourless. The seaseme chicken was the only eatible thing we ordered . Im glad I dont live in sudbury cause this is a embarrassment.

Excellent food, excellent prices, excellent portions.

My Order was over $41, I ordered fried Wonton $12.95 and it fit in my hand and NO sweet and sour sauce. Ordered Vegetable Lomeim $16.95 smallest portions ever! Do not order here the prices are way to much for the portion sizes. Crazy!!!!!!!

Lazy service. Missing items/ingredients on delivery orders on 2 separate occasions. I wont bother throwing the ball for a 3rd strike. Ill throw that ball so far off into a completely different direction and walk away.

Authentic Chinese food northern Chinese style with more oil, salt and spices. (I prefer less oil and salt). But truly the best Chinese restaurant in our area. Love the eggplant dish and veggies dishes. The green beans are too oily (options to lightly stir fry instead?). Hope they will expand their veggies options with more exotic plants like snowpea tip leaves, lotus, bamboo?

Probably the worst food I ve had in a long time. Spicy boiled beef = boiled bean sprout with 5 slices of beef without any taste. Dumplings were uncooked inside. Mixed veggies were 80% onion. We were shocked and disgusted by how bad the food was. There was no service. Almost no Asians dining there, which was also not a good sign.

The food was a 9 out of 10. They forgot one of the appetizers but we were not charged for it and it would have ended up being to much anyways lol The poor lady was all by herself on a surprisingly busy Monday night....but maybe not so surprising as half the restaurants in Sudbury are closed Mondays. I complimented her service being along and busy and she said people dont show up Seems to be the usual thing these days, people feel they dont need to go to work. Shame and sad for businesses like this. I had the pork and fennel dumplings and the beef with veggies and rice as well as a few eggs rolls and and spring rolls. My hubby had the fried dumplings and spicy crawdads, which he loved. I would recommend this restaurant. Sorry, the photo was after my hubby devoured the crawdads. Lol

Excellent food and excellent service at the Lasalle location. The robot server is a fun novelty (humans do almost all the work, so no, robots aren t taking jobs ). Huge bowls of delicious wonton soup, and the crab Rangoons are stuffed full and plentiful! A definite craveable food location!

We went to this store on a rainy night. I felt very good. From the reception at the front desk to the chefs dishes, everything was very good. I hope I can come back next time. The price/performance ratio is very good and it is worth recommending.

Was five stars. Taking it down to three stars. Until recently, the veggie curry had black mushrooms and tofu and came with a side of rice. Now those three things are missing when I order. Otherwise, amazing food.

Bad experience!The reception, who s a lady in the front, is rude. She is inpatient to my request when I was asking for a bag for left over. Furthermore, before I asked for checking the bill, she gave the bill to me. I felt I am not welcomed by this restaurant. I hope I didn t give her the tips of 15%!

Bad service, far-fetched taste

First Asian restaurant I ve ever been to Sudbury Very fast service and the food is fantastic! Dumplings and fried rice are superb!

This place has some of the best authentic Chinese food you can find in the city. In addition to having your Canadian chicken balls/egg rolls/spring rolls, they have some of the traditional dishes you would even find in Toronto that could rival some of their dishes. Try the eggplantdish and the mapo tofu. But get the eggplant dish with meat, its heartier and more delicious. Both are best enjoyed with white rice.

Highly recommended. The dumplings are amazing, fresh, delicious. Really worth to try. Also Lo Mein, very thin noodles. Food is not over spiced as in other Restaurants.

The food was delicious, the serving portions were large, the staff was extremely friendly along with the service being great as well. We went dine-in and the interior looked great and felt comfortable. The Chinese food is authentic with a fair price, and service so good it will be unforgettable. Great restaurant overall which lives up to its 7 stars in its name.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Only complaint would be when I visited there was only one server who seemed a bit overwhelmed attending to dine-in guests and taking all the takeout orders over the phone. But we still got our food in good time.

Best dumplings ever

Much better than expection. If you want to have an experience eating in China, this is one of the best places to enjoy. This how Chinese cuisine should look, taste, and feel like.

Wow!!! Bravo! Great Ma Po Tofu, spicy, properly prepared and balanced. Also, I had the spring roll which were crispy outside and fresh inside.

Great food with fresh ingredients. Dont expect to get good rice noodles but was surprised with how good the quality of food.

Not bad for Chinese food so far from the GTA. Some dishes were very good, such as the Sizzling Plate Beef and the fried rice. The dumplings had a nice wrapper but the meat texture and flavour was lacking. I found some of their meat dishes a bit too salty.

I m a skip driver who comes here often ( Samantha ) , I also have ordered here before and they have amazing food. They re always busy but always ensure good service. The lady who runs the front of house is definitely a true warrior. Everyone should give her an amazing tip because she works so hard. You re amazing guys keep up the hard work. Without you guys I wouldn t have a job :)
