Amazing vegan food that your non-vegan friends will still love.

Asked for fish tacos after a 4 hour drive and they served me green gew deep fried... with no sides and it was 25$ for 3 ..... by far the biggest disappointment on a road trip. Go to taco bell

This place is a great change of pace from traditional Mexican food. I was unsure since it is all vegan, but every dish was flavourful and all the ingredients were complimentary. The Phish Tacos, Green Goddess, and especially the Texan Chili tacos were all superb. Their lemonade (I had it with jalapeño syrup) was also the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Food was very good, we sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Went to Tucos for the first time today and I was super impressed. I had their crunchwrap and mac & cheese on the side and it was super tasty. The mac & cheese was so creamy! Their homemade salsa is delicious too. The service was super friendly and timely. Definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: The whole menu is 100% vegan. Im not vegan myself but I loved everything I had. Dietary restrictions: This restaurant is vegan and has some gluten free options (but also has gluten options so is not a completely gluten free place). Wheelchair accessibility: There is a really good ramp from the parking lot into the restaurant. The washrooms are a little small so that could be a challenge.

When we found this spot, we saw they had vegan food and figured they had some good vegan options (we are not vegan). Turns out, the entire menu is vegan. Had I known that, I might not have opted to eat here, which would have been a mistake. The sopes and Crunchwrap were awesome! Great service and great food. A Sudbury gem!

This place is wonderful for everyone. All of the options are plant based, which means vegetarians and vegans do not have to worry about any of the ingredients. There is a variety of options that are all delicious. The Hawaiian Nachos are one of my favourites at Tucos for sure. Me and my coworkers (a mix of vegans/vegetarians and meat-eater) have gone to Tucos multiple times and it always has something for everyone. One of my favourite places to go by far. The prices are unfortunately somewhat high, but the food is very good. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan, so every option is totally vegetarian. And the options are delicious. Parking: There is a lot next to Tucos with at least 10 spots, with some street parking around.

Tuco s has been a favourite spot of mine for years now ! The food, atmosphere, and staff are always wonderful! We had Bre today and she was super knowledgeable on the menu items, very kind, and quick to serve! :) thumbs up !

We did not realise that this was a vegan restaurant and we had never eaten vegan before. We were glad that we decided to give it a try and our food was excellent. My wife had the burger and fries and I had the Texas ugly burrito and everything was tasty. The margaritas were top notch too as was the service and laid back atmosphere. This was our first visit to Sudbury and we will probably eat here again if we get back to the area. Parking: Small lot maybe 10 spots available

Food is vegan only. Nothing wrong with it, if you like vegan then it s probably for you. But even with vegan food, it seems like the taste was missing something. Overall a 4.5 for sure.

I just had the most amazing nachos Ive ever enjoyed in my life! We had the Hawaiian nachos, they were spectacular. The Pineapple was fresh, the chips were cooked perfectly. I am so impressed. The staff we spoke to upon arrival were also so kind! I would highly recommend:)

We were passing through and had lunch here in Tucos. The food was well presented; The food had good flavor. However, I would like to complain about a few things. 1.The indoor environment, as summer is approaching and the kitchen is open to what connects the tables inside, the space is super hot and being with babies can be stressful because there is no ventilation, they only had a fan that opened to the kitchen. 2. I ordered some quesilladas for my baby and they brought them fried, they didnt ask me if I wanted them grilled or fried. Therefore in my experience it is not a place that I would go again with babies, they do not have menus adapted for them and they will not offer any alternative for comfort. 3. Despite being vegan food. Everything was fried. Just as a fix, replace so much fried food with something healthier. 4. Attention; Even though from the moment we entered the girl treated us very well and friendly. She was alone, she was in a bit of a rush for everything. I had missed a beer and so did my husband and by mistake he brought us a monitor and a beer

Food is unreal along with service, was visiting from Toronto and I wish I had this restaurant in my area. If you are leaving a review less than 5 stars you are lying to yourself.

Gonna be real - as an avid meat eater, while vegetarian/vegan food options arent my style, these guys make it WORK, for sure. While I personally enjoy it for the food quality, those with dietary needs will have said needs met and then some.

Whenever I come up from Ottawa, I always hit Tucos. Its my favourite vegan restaurant but doesnt even need the qualifier. Still my fav by far even when put up against the dining scene in Ottawa.

Hipsters galore, but friendly and inviting. I must deduct a point for not having a meat option for their tacos. For every animal you dont eat, I will eat three. Im kidding, the food is really good and I do wish there was a meat option, but overall an excellent place

I truly enjoy eating here, since renovations there is no longer various hot sauces, nor cutlery on the table. Makes eating natchos a bit of a challenge.

The place is a little uncomfortable, the table for 4 people is very small, I dont know if this is always the case but the day I visited them, I ordered asada tacos and the meat was too seasoned!! I will return to try other dishes on their menu.

Absolutely love Tucos. The best vegan mac and cheese ever! And even though they arent on the menu anymore, the quesadillas are one of my favorites! Spent mothers day lunch there this year and it was amazing.

The fact that this place has high ratings boggles my mind. Ordered taco salad received a bowl that was 90% cabbage, 5% pico, one tiny scoop of lentil crumble, one little scoop of quinoa, and two measly slices of avocado. Don t list your salad ingredients leading with quinoa when it s not even a quinoa salad. And it was pitiful the amount of lentil crumble that was included. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Not worth the price whatsoever.

Fabulous vegan food with great service and youll love the patio

I love Mexican food and know fresh ingredients when I taste them. Even the mint garnish for my Mojito beverage was fresh. If more restaurants used fresh grown ingredients and realized that people actually have taste buds, more places would do well. My wife and I will definitely go back again next time we visit Sudbury. All vegan affair at Tucos Tacos Lounge, good Mexican restaurant in town. Very friendly service and nice patio to enjoy in summer. We had Texan Chilli Taco, Phish (pun intended) Taco, Mac n Cheese Burrito, Black Bean Burrito, The Works Nachos and all items were pretty looking n tasty.

Still keep going, and they still make great food.

Its a fantastic place with a great outside eating terrace! On a sunny day, you dont want to go anything else. Cool atmosphere! Friendly and polite staff! The portion sizes and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our lunch at Tucos Taco Lounge!

Everything was amazing. We started with the original nachos which set the tone great. Then ordered 4 different tacos and all are what we felt like. Every one was amazing, definitely suggest ordering family style. Super satisfying and my three growing boys were all stuffed with nutritious food. Will definitely make the long drive back. their food is absolutely phenomenal i much prefer going here then at any other Mexican restaurant in town. i never leave feeling unsatisfied. the staff is kind and always in a good mood but some of the wait times for the food can be longer then usual. other then that i definitely recommend!!

This place was a cute little vegan taco spot. Patio was rlly cute. Service was amazing. We didn t get the nachos but heard those are rlly popular and looks good. I ordered green goddess tacos which are cauliflower amazing my favourite. Also ordered Asada tacos also a good pick! The guacamole the best! I would recommend this spot!

The food looked great but did not taste as great as it looked. The service was awesome and the place was good. The taco shell was piecemeal definitely the not what everyone was raving about. We ordered 5 different tacos to try as many as possible.

My mom came to town and wanted to get Tucos (her favourite spot) and we were pretty dissapointed with how mediocre some of the food was. We got: Phish tacos, green goddess tacos, chili, torta and chips and salsa. Phish tacos and chili were good- no complaints there. Torta was also good but the portion was incredibly small for a main, more like a lunch portion. Chips were delicious as always, probably should have ordered the nachos. The green goddess tacos however, were mediocre bordering on not good. I absolutely love battered cauliflower and I found it kind of gross. There was like 70% batter, 30% cauliflower in some of the pieces. The batter itself was unseasoned, dense and tasted sour, almost like a chicken ball and with there being so much of it, it tasted kind of gross. The green goddess dressing was really underwhelming and I couldnt really taste it over the sourness of the batter. I feel like with as much batter as there is, the red cabbage needs to be tossed in a vinaigrette or something to make the tacos less dry. I had to add jarred taco sauce to them to be able to eat more than one

Some of the best Mexican food around!

This is an edited review. Quite some time ago I lowered my review to reflect a small business that had amazing food, but some shortcomings that I think every small business was experiencing a few years ago. Since this time, Tucos has done nothing short of impress me with consistent quality, flavours, food, and staff. The current staff is polite, fun, and respectful, and a joy to be around. The food is as good as its ever been. This is, without a doubt, the best vegan food you will find in northern Ontario.

Totally delicious all vegan food! The vibes were so calm and nice and the staff were all so friendly. The portions were also huge, well worth the money.

Love this place, but they are never open.

This used to be one of my favourite spots in town. I was excited to have tucos after having been away for a couple years and it certainly isn t what it used to be. Portion sizes are much smaller and the flavour is lacking. I love vinegars and pickled veg but it was the overriding flavour of the meal. I wanted more Spanish spices. Taco salad was more like a tomato/quinoa salad. Nachos were over sauced and under seasoned as there were some purely soggy areas. It also seemed like I got a whole jar of pickled jalapeños on my nachos. Most areas all you could taste were buffalo sauce and pickled jalapeños.

My favorite! Great service, Tasty and delicious foods aswell as big portions. I always have leftovers!

Best vegan option and im not even vegan

First time at this Sudbury hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy. The servers are super friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! I never dined at a vegetarian restaurant before, but this place set the bar really high. The mac & cheese tasted amazing, and the Buffalo Tempeh Taco had so much flavour packed in every bite. I highly suggest this place. Take a look of the pictures, it will make your mouth water.

Food was great - Green Goddess Tacos always hit the spot. The tacos are always filled generously and taste fresh. Deep fried cauliflower was cooked perfectly. My drink was another experience entirely, though. I was extremely disappointed with the Caesar i ordered - it wasnt mixed, all of the Worcestershire sauce was pooled at the bottom and I had no utensil to mix it with. It turned out so dark it looked like a glass of balsamic vinegar. The most egregious part was the absence of a rim on my glass - often you order a caesar and they give you a straw with a rimmed glass (whats the point?), well at Tucos it was the complete opposite. No rim, no straw. At a premium price of $12, their Caesar takes a fat L. Not worth the cost.

This place is amazing!! We had been here once a few years ago, and wanted to return on our way through Sudbury. Unfortunately, our ETA was 15min past their closing time. We called them and explained the situation, and they happily made our food anyway! We were able to just run in to grab it and pay, despite them being closed for 15 minutes. So needless to say, the service is fantastic! On top of that, the food is incredible, with lots of variety. It s great to see a vegan restaurant with such creativity. There is definitely something for everyone, vegan or not! Meat will not be missed. The portions are also huge! Very filling. Tuco s Tacos is a must-try if you re in Sudbury. Thank you again for accommodating us, and for such great food!

Tucos is a favourite place to go when were in Sudbury. The vibe is incredible, the staff are great, and the all-vegan food is top notch. The outside eating area is really nice because its walled off from the street. We always feel a little cooler after a meal here!

The nachos alone deserve 5 stars. They were the best nachos we ve had and we ve had plenty! We couldn t believe they were vegan! Perfectly crunchy yet very creamy with balanced colourful toppings. The works nachos plate was the star of the show for sure. The black bean burrito was too mushy for my liking. I would ve liked to try their Tuco salad and guacamole but they ran out of avocados, which was disappointing for a Mexican style restaurant. I never complain about too much green but the bowl I ordered had too much kale. The popcorn cauliflower and the dressing were top notch on the other hand. The decor was beachy coastal boho style with lots of live plants. Enchanting! Would return to try some more items on the menu, hopefully with avocados!

Unreal! Now I can only speak for the patio, because we didnt go inside. But its so cute, like a little vegan paradise! The atmosphere is amazing, the drinks were fabulous and the food was to die for. Please open a sister location in Sault Ste Marie! Best vegan eats Ive ever had, hands down. And the waitress and service was dabulous as well. Thank you Tucos! Bonus: there is a vegan bakery and vegan ice cream shop right across the street if you have room for dessert!

2021 Love the food..such a variety. Thanks for great service and the great food. In order there at least 4x a month. Yummmm. 2022 Aug A 4 because not open on days I wish it was opened. Whenever we want to eat out they are closed. I know prep time is needed...but 4x a week its open so loss of business as other restaurants are adding vegan meals to their menu.

Used to be a lovely place, a baldish guy probably mexican would be always so cranky and throw a great fit. He would lock doors and talk to some visitors before early hours, then his uncle hector used to drop by frequently. One day the old man got paralysed by some ailment and had a bell fitted to his wheelchair and would ding repeatedly if he had a request. Lately a guy named Lalo on their behalf camps here, hes good at cooking, loved the tamales. That Ignacio is a good kid.

Honestly, I had kind of a nacho revelation at Tucos. Normally I find them a boring dish - not real food, tasting like nothing or maybe like cardboard. The nachos served at this place actually taste like something. Really crispy, full of flavour, outright delicious. If I ever make it back to Sudbury, Ill absolutely visit Tucos again.

We recently moved to Sudbury and were nervous about having vegan/vegetarian options here. Tucos has shown us that we need not have worried. Their food is delicious.

Excellent experience eating in. Helpful, friendly staff. Multiple GF items on the menu. Nothing enhances atmosphere quite like a feature portrait of Bill Murray.

For a meat eater this is the best vegan food I have ever eaten. The flavors and portion was best. If I stay in Sudbury Id love to go there every week.

Vegetarian options: Entirely vegan taco & Mexican inspired menu that is so delicious that you will never miss meat at all. Insanely creative dishes! Parking: A decent amount of free parking but due to its location you may need to park on the street as there are a handful of other trendy businesses near by without their own lots so spaces fill up fast.

As a Meat eater I want to hate it. But its good, very very good.

Tucos is a treasure of the Donovan. The food here is incredible! As non-vegan I would take anything from Tucos over their meat counterparts. The atmosphere here is very open concept, with great tunes playing in the background! There is not much seating indoors, but enough for dining in during irregular dinner hours and they always have takeout! There is a patio open during the summer months. The service is as just as you would expect, good. If you have not been to Tucos yet, I definitely recommend it. I love this place! I am from Toronto where there are a plethora of great vegan options and Tuco s Tacos is still at the top of my list. It s the only restaurant that I go to when I m in town. My favourites are the buffalo tempeh kale salad, The Good mac n cheese burrito and the torta jackfruit sandwich.
