The worst customer service I ever had. The food was tasteless and the chicken was undercooked. The service here was terrible. I wish I could give them a zero star .

I visited The Back Room today and ordered a mojito and a double shot of Jameson. The restaurant was quiet, with only five tables occupied. While waiting, I observed the bartender, who had been resting on a couch, get up, adjust her pants and hair, and head straight to the bar without washing her hands. She then proceeded to handle various bar utensils, chop limes, and squeeze them directly into drinks all without any handwashing. This level of unsanitary behavior was very concerning, especially since I had a clear view of everything happening. Although I ve visited before and had no complaints, today s experience left me disappointed. Proper hygiene should always be a priority, regardless of how busy or slow it is.

Fantastic place to have delicious food with wonderful presentation in good ambience . We came in happy hour and loved stuffed tangri. Chef Harmeet was great and recommended us the main course in paneer as well which we enjoyed. Service was fast and staff are welcoming. I can 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone. Ownership has changed. We ordered take out and the food was terrible. The Shahi paneer was hardly anything like what weve ordered in previous times from other restaurants. Other vegetarian dishes were terrible as well. The bhindi was undercooked. Not sure what happened, but zero compliments to the chef. The management team was unhelpful and didnt offer a refund.

Came for Valentine s Day dinner.. it was moderately busy but nothing crazier than a weekend night. Waited over 20 minutes for our reservation to be seated and over an hour for food, service was so slow and had no one check on us. ended up leaving before our mains came out because other tables sat 10-30mins after us were getting food. definitely put a sad end to our day as we never go out and wanted to have a nice evening at a restaurant. Emailed and never got a reply . horrible customer service overall. What a bad look for your restaurant.

This is the second time we are visiting this place after year and a half and the quality has gone down. We ordered crispy corn and it wasn t at all crispy and did not have any taste. Also it was cold. Next we did paneer tikka masala but again there was no masala and completely blank. Honey chilli cauliflower was like curry . Chicken tikka was good. Overall it was really bad and we did not like the food at all. I will have to think to come here next time because what will I do of the atmosphere and service if the food is not at all good.

Food was good but service was very slow and bad. Order the liquor drink and food. Requested waiters to make sure bring drink first but still they bring food first. When we ask to take it back they took it back bring same cold naan and all that again. Requested to change to fresh one and they charged for it even though it s there mistake. Also waiter screwed the liquor order she decided to left the wrong drink on the table by stating it s going in to garbage and later they charged on the bill. Will going to dispute the transaction if I don t get wrongly charged amount back. Thanks

First time ordering yesterday. I ordered online then arrived there 5 min later. I was greeted at the door by a staff member who promptly opened the door for me as I had my grandson in a stroller. My food was ready and bagged! I paid and left (another staff member was promptly at the door to open it for us). I ordered the rogan josh lamb, plain rice, samosa, naan. I got back to my daughters 5 min later. The food was piping hot and abundant. I mean, overflowing! Generous portions and the packaging was excellent. No spillage. The food was delicious! I swear there was enough for 4 people!! $33. I give it 4* and not 5 because I have had better but this is up there and better than most Indian food restaurants in this part of the world. I would give it 4.5/5 if it was possible to do so. I will definitely be going back when I am in Sooke again and would love to go with a group and order several different entrees to try. You really cant beat this for the courteous staff, quality of food, and price. Thank you folks, keep up the great work! My only real complaint would be the lack of chutney that should have accompanied the meal but it did come with raita and some very runny flavourless red sauce that I am guessing was for the samosas but nothing like any chutney I have ever had or made. I am sure they could kick up that notch a bit ;)

I love this place so much, they were so helpful when I needed to order trays of food for a loss of a family member. I really can not think of any other restaurant that offers such amazing service and is Halal as well. If you are close by come check them out, you won t regret it.

I use to love this restaurant but now service has fallen greatly. Food doesn t taste same. Charged 3 dollar just for a little ketchup. No managers in the restaurant. Portion size has also reduced greatly. Saw bunch of customers complaining about that. Not a recommended place at all. Went for dinner but just ate starters and came back.

We experienced very bad and rude behavior from staff on the front desk. Yesterday I was there with family on Fathers Day and asked for dine in at front desk. We were told that they were busy, and they asked if we had reservations. I politely said no, but then I said I could wait ... She replied that it can be 2 hours long, when I can see empty tables and vacant patio as well. Other girl said something to her and then she said I can take you in for 1 hour dine in limit. I agreed, and she offered a table to 4 of us where 3 people can sit on one side and one on the other side. I said I could sit on the patio. She took us to a total empty patio, and I asked her if I could sit under the umbrella she denied and said they were all reserved when there was no one, The whole patio was empty. It was not acceptable to receive the treatment from the front entrance to the patio. There was no gesture or effort shown to stop us when we decided to leave. I felt no customer service and I think its too bad for the owner who spent a million dollars on the restaurant and staff is dealing with customers like this. Staff dont care they are getting paid, in the end owner is loosing business. It was total failure from the staff, and there was no smile on their face. The owner needs to work on these things. I understand reservations, but walk in customers also need to be welcomed the same way.

I order Chicken Tikka Masala. But Chicken was boiled not Tikka in that. Whats the point ordering Chicken tikka masala if you get boiled chicken rather than Tikka. Very disappointed

The service was really bad. The server would serve the food without giving any plates or cutlery. We kept on waiting for cutlery. Servers barely did any follow ups unless called.

Honestly, not worth to spend money and your family time here. extremely expensive and very low food quality as well as quantity. I had a Patiala chicken its comes with 2 chicken legs and pre-made butter sauce nothing else in there . cost $23. these days mostly 95% Indian restaurants serve all pre-made stuff no taste and stomach pain later ! BE CAREFULL GUYS.

Yesterday, I ordered food through doordash in which 1 item was missing(received 1 bag). When I called them to ask they said it was dasher s fault as they told the dasher to wait for another bag but he left. Things happen but it was restaurant s responsibility to pack all the items in one bag and not put the blame on dasher.

Food was good, however server (wearing sindur, don t remember name) was beyond rude and unprofessional.

We have been to delight bistro many times. The food and service is always great. But Today we had guests over and we placed an order through uber. First the order was late. The driver had to wait over 20 mins for the food to be ready. We recieved our order 2 hours from the order time. The chaat smelled so bad. The amritsari kulche were burnt and were extra extra spicy. Very very dissapointed. We were very loyal customers at this restaurant.

The staff doesn t take orders properly. Also, they do argue after that. Very bad service. I went there with my friends but it was very bad experience I ever had. I really recommend not to go this place, better to try others.

If you want the worst service ever with arrogant host/manager then go to this place. The manger was very disrespectful to us. They lied about a promotion that we asked about and charged us for it. When we spoke to the manager, she was extremely rude and didn t care at all. Server didn t clear out our table or provide any decent service. Add to this that there was only two tables on the whole restaurant and both the server snd manager were sitting around doing nothing and on their phone the whole time. I requested to speak to the owner and the manager basically kicked me out of the restaurant. If you are the owner, i urge to reach out as we need to have a serious conversation about your staff.

Food is really good no doubt but Service are very bad. We were not asking the bill we enjoying our main course but someone came on our table and asking to pay the bill that s very unprofessional.

I love this place before and we celebrated few occasions there but now I don t like this place at all because of rude staff and staff was busy chit chatting and doesn t respond you. We came and sat outside and all the tables were dirty and when we asked them to clean they didn t even clean properly. Our server also didn t give us all of the menus and plus after that they never even came to ask us for what we were going to order and were instead sitting inside and eating their own food.

I had ordered a chicken rara dish from them but received an order where the chicken had gone bad. It was part of our birthday celebration dinner for my brother. It was such a bad experience and took away all the joy from the family dinner. Having had a couple of bites before realizing the issue, my stomach is all upset. Unfortunately, I m not going to be giving any further business to this place. I called them to report the issue was told to reach out the delivery app. They couldn t resend the order as they had no driver and I was certainly not going to drive and pick up in middle of family dinner. The food was delivered by DoorDash.

This used to be our fav restaurant. We cherished every aspect of it. However, their food quality has declined lately. Yesterday marked the third occasion when the quality wasnt up to the mark.

Management needs to do better. Only 2 servers were handling the whole restaurant while the other 4 were just gossiping & idling. This restaurant just went downhill since the last manager left. The new management sucks and needs to improve. I don t blame the server who was serving us although appetizers & food was late with the wait time of more than 30 mins only if the other employees were doing their job and helping them had it been a different scenario.

Ive been a loyal customer of Delight Indian Bistro since its opening, but my recent experience was disappointing. The service last night was far from satisfactory, unlike my previous visits. We ordered chicken tikka, but the chicken was tough and lacked flavor. Despite requesting a change to tandoori chicken, the replacement was similarly overcooked with a tough outer layer and lacking tenderness. To make matters worse, the wine we ordered arrived after the appetizers, causing them to turn cold. I tried to address my concerns with the owner, only to be brushed off by an inexperienced server who had no clue about fine dining etiquette. She even admitted to being on the job for just a week. This overall experience left me thoroughly dissatisfied with both the service and food. The disappointments didn t end there; our mains included my all-time favorite, Peshwari Paneer. However, the dish failed to meet expectations this time. The paneer lacked freshness, and the gravy seemed to be a perplexing blend of lentils and spinach, emitting an unpleasant odor and taste. The once rich and sophisticated flavors were completely absent. Regrettably, I wont be returning unless I hear substantial improvements and I cannot recommend the restaurant anymore, as I faced an embarrassing situation in front of my relatives after having praised the place for the past 20 days.

This is close to the best North Indian food we have had in Surrey. The icing on the proverbial cake is the Raj Kachori. We have tried their thali, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian which give you a great sampling of the flavors they have on offer. A highly recommended stop if you are craving North Indian flavors.

During our tour to Vancouver, we stopped here for dinner. Ambiance overall good but interior is too darker. Food was super tasty, spice level as desired. Service quick. Staff courteous. Paneer Tikka was superb.

Had one of the worst biryanis, tasted like you are eating masala rice. Ordered (2 biryanis) food for my family on thanksgiving and it felt like we gave thanksgiving of 55$ to the restaurant. The chicken tasted like lamb and there were barely 4-5 pieces of chicken. It s sad to see that you don t serve what your restaurant claims to be. Worst meal

The food was excellent overall. Ordered veg and nonVeg. The tandoori prawns and paneer starters were really good. Unfortunately, the music was too loud, which kinda ruined the experience. Still would recommend coming here to enjoy.

Their services are so disappointing as we ordered food by delivery and it has been several times that they always missed something in the order or they will exchange the order, which is so disappointed !! However if we call them they will say we will give you complimentary next time I mean what the hell man !! We had paid for the food and the food always come after long hour even we are living from 5-10 min drive from the restaurant. So please be careful while doing work such a bad experiences!! Will suggest other not to waste your time and money like this. Will never order again !!!

Things have changed here over the period of time. Their quantity of food has decreased drastically, like seriously??? And then when we ordered food, specifically told our server that we want appetizers and food together but they did bring appetisers one by one , forget about main course. Waited for main course to come in for 45 minutes. I collected the plates by myself and told them that please take them away and we need new plates. Took them 10 minutes more to bring the plates. Totally understandable that you guys can be busy, but atleast try to accomodate people who are sitting there for so long when you are charging us the same that shouldn t be our problem. Moreover, we were 7 people and got cutlery for 6 people. Nobody bother to give it to us even by the end of our visit, rather than wasting our time we preferred sharing. Got lucky enough that atleast we got glass of water later on considering we are seven people.Pathetic experience today. Another thing that I have noticed here is that when you are party of more than 6 people, they know they are going to add tip automatically, so they wouldn t care.This used to be our go to restaurant. Not sure if me and my family would ever go there again. Nobody really cares there anymore!

Very good ambiance. Enjoyed sunshine on patio outside. Ordered Amritsari Laddo khatte wale-just fall in love with it. I used to eat these laddoos about 40 years back in India at Amritsar. Today, it reminded me of my childhood. Crispy from outside and soft inside. The tangy chutney with it was perfect. Jal jeera cold drink is worth trying. Also ordered Maharaja veg thali for lunch. I must say that one thali is good for two people (big quantity). Same with Maharaja Indo-Chinese Thali, big portion and tasty Chinese food with Indian touch. Definitely going back. Oh yes!! Service was very good. Server came 3 times during our lunch to check if everything was okay or if we need anything.

Garbage it s so bad over cooked food.

Worst customer service.I m pure vegetarian and was served chicken noodles in my veggie platter.Instead of apologizing staff was giggling in back and pretending like nothing happened. Won t recommend this place at all. Vegetarian options: Please provide proper training and guidelines to staff how to handle customers and their requested food.

Got Angara Tikka Chicken. Portion size reduced significantly and its not even roasted properly. I dont care about your interiors, but when you cut costs on the quality and quantity it concerns me.

Very nice place for dinner. The food (tandoori chicken) was superb! And the shredded lamb stuffed naan bread with butter chicken sauce is my new favourite. It was so good!! Highly recommend this for a great meal!

Had a great experience at lunch here. Our server, Cherri, was polite and service-oriented. Food was fresh, well marinated and seasoned. My friend was delighted with the minced goat dry curry and Delerium beer. I was happy with my crunchy samosa chaat and we both enjoyed the tikka tandoor chicken, which was very flavourful

Takeout experience- No chutney with chaap, tasteless . Ketchup with Tandoori momos? Who does that. Momos were hard to eat.
