We was there last Friday I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiter were committed to great service ( Jehan) she we re very friendly, and excellent job, The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely like that way you have very modern style

Bad service. I found a fly in the food plate

I was excited to order from.this restaurant as it was showing high end restaurant and lots of good review. I ordered for pickup and was craving kebab platter and fries. Unfortunately the kebab was dry, flavourless and the fries were the worse fries I ever tried. The price was very high for just one person. Not again I will believe reviews until I try for myself first before ordering for my large family.

I wasn t very happy, they couldn t make me a Caesar drink even though they had every type of hard alcohol you could imagine, Had no white wine, I ordered the most expensive lamb dinner, they didn t have the whole meal, wanted to substitute with something else which didn t happen and a very small portion of meat and some kind of beet that I did care for. Sorry but never again. Service was not there either, everyone at the table was half though there meal before mine came. Furthermore one of the girls wearing gloves was picking her teeth with a toothpick at the computer right in the middle of the restaurant, then back to work she went. Sad!!!

My experience was very bad and surprising, the restaurant made a lot of marketing videos that they serve authentic Iraqi food and unfortunately nothing was true The fish was not fresh and types of salads were executed badly nothing related to the original dish. The lentil soup was a joke you can t even taste lentil Adding to that the service not much better. I would recommend and I hope they get better Dear owner you don t need to get so intimidated by my review Yes I am from Iraq but I don t know you or have any idea who you are and I am not writing a review so I can get something out of you or wishing for a refund simply I am disappointed it took us around two hours to get to your restaurant yesterday we were craving for a masqouf and were hoping for something better the fish tasted like a frozen fish and that s my opinion I don t know how you make it around here but it sure doesn t taste like a fresh river fish, the lentil soup doesn t taste nothing like lentil soup back home so if I don t like your food you don t need to get intimidated and angry you should be more professional in replying to customers I am really surprised by your response instead of offering something better you act like you wanna start a fight Anyways I am sorry but it is just a food review nothing personal

We went to this restaurant with hubby on Sunday evening. We were coming from Spa and decided to check it out. It was at 8pm. When we get there we waited 5 minutes for someone to come talk to us and give us a seat. When the server finally gets to receive us, the owner or the manager came quickly and said they can t get us seats because they are closing! We mentioned that it is 8pm and the restaurant closing is at midnight. But they refused to give us seats. In all of this we are black and African people. The only reason they refused to accept us is the colour of our skin! I don t recommend this restaurant to anyone who is black! People here are so racist! The worst thing, others people showed up with theirs women covered their heads and they were received with a big smile!! If you are a black person and you decide to go to this restaurant, please check out.. if you get a chance to be given a seat, check if you are being served fresh foods or reft overs! Very disappointing and shameful behaviour!!!

On October 13th, 2024, my wife and I were denied a table on the pretense that they were very busy and were closed. Yet their doors were open, and it was 8:00 pm, and their posted closing time is 12 midnight. There were some vacant tables, and I know the manager declined to admit us because we are black, unlike the rest of their Mediterranean/Arab customers that we could see. Racist attitudes are no way to run any business. It is a shame.

I went on saturday with my friends, it was a nice experience, They had a singer and belly dancer, it was a bit loud for me, but a lot of people were enjoying their time. The food was good portion-wise; some were really good, some were ok. great staff very helpful and attentive.

The first step is amazing place for family and friends to have wonderful times and meals!!

the service and the crew is super friendly, I I loved the place! It was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. However, I wasnt impressed with the food, dessert, or even the espresso. Theres room for improvement. Ill definitely return in the future and update my review. Please work on your food, as your establishment deserves to be visited. Cheers!

I recently visited Laylina Restaurant Surrey On Fraser Hwy & 152nd and unfortunately, my First time experience was far from pleasant. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely ignored. The staff didn t acknowledge my presence or offer a menu. It was as if I was invisible. Service: The lack of attention was disheartening. I waited for several minutes without anyone approaching my table. Not even a simple greeting. After waiting 25 mins my husband put a timer for 5 mins to see if we would get noticed. Timer went off and we stood up and walked right out and none even noticed or paid attention that we left. Food: I can t comment on the food quality because I never got the chance to order. The poor service overshadowed everything else. Ambiance: The restaurant itself seemed nice, but the atmosphere was ruined by the neglectful service.

The food here is absolutely amazinggg! The portions are also very large, worth every dollar.

Food was great, very nice crew, awesome singer. But when we called to book the table, they said they have live bellydancer and charging $10 extra for that and she will start at 8:30, so we booked for 7 but at the restaurant they said she will com at 9, then they said at 9:30 and then they changed it to 10:45 and eventually she came at 11 while a few people already left. That was disappointing, other than that everything was great!

The food is okay, but the roasted chicken, took literally 1 hour waiting time, and too dry. Service was bad. The waiter had no idea what he was doing. The atmosphere was great tho.

It was a very positive first experience at this restaurant, my friend and I had an amazing dining experience....we walked in and the ambiance was bright and airy and the staff very welcoming...first thing we noticed was we were served a bottle of water each.....which from my experience is uncommon...as I am sure most restaurants use tap water ....Ahmed was our server and he was top notched ....he knew it was our first time and patiently answered our questions regarding menu items....we decided on the Fattoush salad which was fresh and tasty (my friend fell in love with the salad) .....and we ordered the Tikka Lamb platter and to our surprise Ahmed added a skewer kebob on the house which is a grounded version to try as he shared with us that it most popular.......well after a taste I must agree I can see why as it is perfectly spiced and grilled......and my friend said it was her favorite though the lamb tikka was delish too..I loved all the different pickled vegetables and grilled tomato and onion....and just fresh and healthy eating.....then again to our surprise at the end of the meal we were served two baklava and hot tea on the house as well..baklava was very tasty with a hint of cinnamon and honey sweetness......we really enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely go back to try other items on the menu .......oh by the way the washroom was squeaky clean ..........THANK YOU Ahmed for the wonderful lunch experience we had today...... Parking: There is parking behind and in front of the building.

I recently ordered from Layalina Restaurant, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The food was incredibly delicious, with each dish packed full of authentic flavors. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients.

The service was not good at all. The music was way too loud and this caused our waiter too get our order wrong many times. The food was dry and the meat was rubbery. However, the worst part was when we were about to watch the belly dance the staff told us it would be $10 per person! Overall, I suggest you dont go to this restraunt.

Best restaurant in town

I have recently tried their kabab and let me tell you it was delicious and very different from other Iraqi restaurants in the Lower Mainland that brought nothing but disappointments. I will be looking forward to trying their other dishes. We were served by Ahmad who was very attentive and ensured we had everything we need to enjoy the food.

Incredible service by Ahmed , suggestions were perfect . The food was so amazing and it felt as if I was back In Beruit, Lebanon . We had a combination of different dishes. The chicken, lamb and beef were very dry. Rice was good. Service was OK as the server may not be experienced with different types of wine. The music was great at the beginning, but after the fabulous bellydancer, the music became extremely monotonous and monotone. Definitely need more variety of bellydance tablas. They should perhaps have a selection of Dr. Samy Farag collections.

The best Arabic restaurant I have tried in British Columbia. As someone from an Iraqi background, I can say that this restaurant is currently the only one in BC that serves Iraqi and Arabian food with perfect taste and recipes, and the staff is very nice, and the most important thing is that there are more than 40 free spots for free parking in front or behind the restaurant, and my favorite dish is the grilled Iraqi fish (Masgouf) + the beef shawarma, and the best appetizer I have tried is their hummus, which has the perfect texture and taste so this is my final review for this restaurant:- Food 5/5 Free parking 5/5 Hospitality 5/5 Prices 5/5 The Restaurant vibes 5/5

Hit and miss, my advice check your receipt so you re not over charged. I was, and the food is the hit & miss, mine was burned and the beef not good, had a smell to it. I ve been here before and the food was good. However last night was terrible. The chicken Tikka Kabob was burned including the onion & tomato had black burned edges. My mom orders the Beef kebab and that was burned also and had a smell to it. The waiter was new and my receipt included an additional kebab I did not order. So I was over charged. Overall I was disappointed with the service more training is needed and manager can maybe jump in and assist. New waiter had a party of 14 and obviously too much for him.

I visited this restaurant 2 week ago, don t get tempted to biryani, if you are looking for Indian style, this is no way near. Ambience is good.Tashreeb lamb is good with tandoori roti, a different taste.

On behalf of St. Joseph Damascene Church we want to thank Layalina Restaurant for accommodating our group of over 80 people for lunch with excellent service and delicious food. The manager Dani went above and beyond to make sure all the meals were brought out hot and fresh. He made sure each person was satisfied and worked seamlessly with the chefs and waiters to ensure everything went as smooth as possible. Everyone raved about the superb quality and taste, which reminded them of home country in the Middle East. Well done guys and we will definitely be back, Maybe on one of the live music nights !!

You wouldnt expect the interior to look so nice when looking at it from the outside. The portions were very large, I shared one chicken shawarma with my 2 kids and had left overs, although they loved the pita and ate a ton of it (free refills). They definitely did not skimp out on the meat! They mentioned having entertainment for the evening but it didnt start in the time that we were there. The falaffels were very fresh, extremely crispy.

Drove by few times and chatted with the staff. The restaurant wants to combine Middle Eastern food style with more western atmosphere. In my opinion, this always rejects lots of middle eastern customers who don t drink , don t watch belly dancers , those who have kids as this style is not kid friendly at all. this was a breath of fresh air for me beautiful restaurant wonderful fresh food served warm and my new favorite go to place ,lovely olive oil on their dishes the portions were abundant and absolutely delicious. The portions were great however the prices reflected that. But great experience definatly will recommend this place.

I went with my daughters for diner in the second day of Eid Fitr the service was great and fast. The food is so delicious I am a chef and when I say it is delicious I mean it. We had a great night at Layalina this Saturday! The manager and staff were nice and helpful. The food was generous and tasty, especially the chicken shawarma platter. We got completely shots too! The music was great. We had so much fun. It was a great cultural experience for my Canadian husband. We d recommend it and come back.

Recently we made a very big order from Layalina restaurant and it was amazing. We had a funeral which had over 250 people and ordered a very large amount of food and it was perfect. Every single dish was very well cooked, prepared, and was smoking hot when we got it. The prices are great, and the service they gave was fantastic. If anyones wanting to give this place a try it is absolutely worth it and I recommend this place 10/10. Thank you to Layalina Restaurant and all the restaurant staff for the wonderful service, excellent food, and moderate prices We had our condolences for the death of my mother, and Layalina Restaurant was the custodian of all the funeral supplies by feeding and serving more than 300 people. The food was delicious and served hot, and the service was more than wonderful. I advise anyone who has any occasion to visit and get to know the wonderful owners of the restaurant first, then for the rest of the details. Thank you, Brother Fares. The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful, fabric tablecloths and beautiful dishes. But I didn t like the food at all. We ordered grilled lamb with rice and salad, the lamb had a very unpleasant smell of spoiled meat, we asked for a replacement and they brought us beef kebab, which was half burnt. Very expensive price for food.

The food is just bad, at least the dishes we ordered (lamb shank and biryani rice with beef). Most of the food was reheated and didn t taste good. The portion sizes are small. I am not an American, I am an Arab living in the US, and I was very excited to go to an Arabic restaurant. I didn t mention anywhere that the food was expensive, I mentioned that the portions are small compared to other Arab restaurants, but this isn t the main reason for my negative review. The main reason was that the food wasn t good. I finished my plate because I was hungry, but if you share the footage as you are claiming, you will see that my wife left most of her food (hers was worse than mine). Also, the fact that I am laughing at the table has nothing to do with the food and is frankly none of your business. I was just enjoying a conversation with my wife, I am not going to get depressed just because the food isn t good. Anyway, my sole purpose was to leave a review for other customers and for you to improve, but obviously you cannot take criticism and went out of your way to build a conspiracy theory around my review. I reduced my rating from 3 stars to 1 star after the owner s very offensive response.

Great food overall. The portions, the flavor as well as the presentation. The decor of the restaurant is amazing and friendly staff. I can see there being good functions at this place. Came in for the first time so went with a safe choice being Chicken Saj with fries. Will definitely be coming back to try the lamb main course!! Also when does the live band come in? Id like to see night time dinner with the lights dimmed with the table lamps and live music, that would be a vibe!!

I had a great time with my friends, the food was was SUPER and the ambiance was awesome. For a moment I forgot that I was in Surrey. The songs and the live performances was simply good. Irrespective of what ethnicity you come from you must visit this place, you must book your table in advance.

A nice restaurant and good service. As for the food, there is little rice. A little is not enough, and also the drinks are very few. I hope to increase the quantity of rice and meat and take more care of the food, and God willing, there will be a move forward. The generosity in the restaurant will attract customers.

We got Lamb Uzi with Okra soup, which was super tender and lovely, Hummus was ok, and chicken saaj rap was not really the best. The service was good, the environment was clean and nice. They have music events and belly dance as well. Fair price. We paid for this mich food with the tip around $61. I would go back.

What an amazing experience at layalina restaurant in surrey! We tried this restaurant for the first time for my grandmother s 83rd birthday and a great time was had by all. They were so kind to set up a balloon bouquet at our table and then customize a family platter for us for a group of seven people and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was so genuine and wonderful that made the experience a lot more fun than we had anticipated. There is a live band on Saturday evening, as well as, a belly dancer (much later on the evening) and just the energy was absolutely incredible. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside the restaurant!

What a unforgettable night at Layalina. We had a bellydance birthday party for our best friend. Restaurant were so kind to set up a birthday celebration slogan and balloon. Food was so authentic and delicious. Staffs were welcoming and kind. Dani, the manager of restaurant, was very professional and helpful. We will definitely come back soon! Highly recommended!

Great service but didnt like the taste of the food. Tried roast lamb, shish tawook, chicken shawarma and would not recommend any of them.

A beautiful restaurant and good food. Honestly, I and my family used to go to many restaurants, but I did not find the cleanest restaurant with the best food and the service is very good. I go there every week and I advise everyone to go there. The prices are really cheap and you feel good in Iraq and the food is good. May God bless them always.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The grilled meat was incredibly delicious, and the weekend performances were exceptionally professional. The overall quality, including the ambiance and decor, was outstanding. We highly recommend this place! Dietary restrictions: The hummus at this place is out of this world, and their grilled fish and lamb are equally exceptional. We had a party of over 100 people. The owner catered to make a successful and entertaining event with music and belly dances. We returned to the restaurant a couple of weeks later, the restaurant exuded a warm and inviting ambiance with excellent service. The food tantalized our taste buds with beef and lamb kebabs, and eggplant soup that left us craving for more. The grilled sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the baklava dessert was the perfect sweet ending. Overall, it was a fantastic Mediterranean dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere

I am really glad that we finally have a good restaurant in Fleetwood that serves kebab! The food was healthy, fresh, and delicious. The kebabs were very juicy and the salads were fresh. I really appreciated the roasted tomatoes and onions with the Koobideh. Super clean and great staff. I ll go back on a Friday or Saturday for the live entertainment. I will definitely be going here or ordering take out from here regularly!

Very elegant and tastefully decorated. The waiter was very friendly and personable. I had the eggplant salad and the red snapper for dinner. It was a large amount of food - very fresh and delicious.would recommend

The food is good. But a lamb shank was served when we ordered roasted lamb, which was unexpected for the price we paid (more than 30 CAD) I was expecting a spicy roasted lamb Food
