Doniar is yummy but only thing I am not giving them all stars is they made doniar very juicy,in result bread wrap get melt and meat & veggies came out, food fell on my t-shirt, need headsup Parking: 148 st Surrey

Payment Caution: they don t take credit card. The price was fair, I ordered a regular lamb donair and pop ($16). The food was a decent portion, the lamb was good. Overall it was good but not the best you can get in the area No washroom available for customers. The staff were pleasant.

One of the best donairs Ive ever had. Perhaps it was because they were busy and everything was fresher on Friday night, but they listened to my requests, made my order perfectly-no onions and light sauce with a Greek salad combo. Delicious! Was really nice for a change from Subway. Less bread and more ingredients.

I har left my debit card at home, came to realize when I paid for my food, the owner let me eat my food, then went to grab my card to pay. Super nice gesture and I appreciate that! Amazing food and great service

Their regular sized Donair is stuffed enough to feed a house and their largest is enough to feed an army. Definitely worth every dollar if youre hungry and on a budget. Food

Their donairs are always really good. Always get one of the super wraps if you ever order from there. I went there with a friend one time when the old owner was there quite a few years ago. Very friendly guy. It looked like they changed hands a couple years ago. When I went there last time, the customer service was definitely lacking. At least with my experience, the girls making the food werent rude, and my donairs came out right. If youre bothered by the customer service, they do deals on Uber every now and then, where you can do buy 1 get 1.

The food is great, but sauce is not spicy. I used to frequent this place for many years since 2011, but after bringing fellow crew members and finding that they have an outdated debit machine, which only takes Canadian debit cards, but not any US debit cards and maybe one type of charge card, we ALL quit frequenting. Last night I drove 25 minutes out of the way to give them another try, after nearly five years of all of our staff not visiting. My crew was met with the same old debit machine problems, and two having to go down a couple stores to pay high ATM fees to get Canadian cash. We put the word out that we will not be coming back. Well stick to frequenting places that take all cards.

I usually come here at least once a week and the food never disappointed me once. The service was great too.

I dont know about the other reviews but I love their food. Never bad experience. Best hummus on the planet in my opinion.

This review is from May 2013 posted by me on Yelp. Hope they are having a better customer service now, all the best. Today I visited this place for a chicken shawarma. I have had from here once last year. I am a very particular fan of middle eastern and and Indian food. Even though the first time I ate it (a treat by my brother) was not that great nor bad I wanted to try it once more. The lady who was serving was very helpful and smiling, I had a small issue at the time of payment. Other than the regular charges there was an additional charge of 25 cents added to my payment and I questioned it. the lady who was serving me very politely said it was a regular charge to every customer and offered me to talk to the owner. The owner came to the scene and he tried to convince me by saying all the places charge the same amount, but when I stated that other joints like the holy falafel and donair spot does not charge it he got aggravated and started swearing at me. I retaliated by saying you are a liar and is trying to cheat the customer of an extra quarter. I left the food there and left, he was keeping on swearing. I just wanted to bring this into other customers notice. I dont have any bad remarks against their food or their service but the owner if questioned starts yelling and surely will shout at you asking you to get out. Just for questioning the extra 25 cents being charged you get to hear middle eastern way of swearing ( I dont think he has any sense of belonging or know where he is) he didnt know that being brought up in the middle east I would understand a little bit of arabic and persian. I will surely go back to the place and try to reproduce the scenario and record all the things once again on my mobile. I am really adamant on showing him that, this is not the way to treat any customer. He is going to pay for it.

Absolutely the best around. Ive been getting chicken donairs from Donair Affair for over 20 years. I have never been disappointment. Great taste, fresh ingredients, large portions and affordable prices.

The females working here have the worst customer service ever; they are unfriendly, dont say hello to guests, and just generally seem to dislike their jobs. Please teach your workers; even though the food is excellent, youve lost a customer today coz of poor customer service.

There are many donair places on town, but the impression I got when I stepped into Donair Affair was that they had the whole cooking process down to a science. These guys know their donair and they are generous with their sauces.

Staff were terrible, asked for them to grill the chicken a little extra to make it crispy and they denied the request. Asked to speak to management but the manager or owner just sat in his chair and shook his head. All other locations I have visited have had zero issue grilling the meat a little extra. Very disappointed and will not be returning here.

Great food Service depends who s there? I tried they re new rice bowl a few weeks ago it was amazing popping with flavour 2 weeks later I had another, it was missing ingredients corn, cilantro mix I order it again and was told that cilantro cost extra..??Also no rice on our rice bowls?? I understand cheese and extra meat costing extra but cilantro?? What a shame I won t be going as often Make sure they include all ingredients!

Chicken and beef rice platter had way too much beef. This was never an issue in the past but tonight was bad . Waaaay too much beef. Put them side by side instead of chicken on top of beef if your not able to gauge how much beef. This is very disappointing. i paid 40 for 2 platters

Donair affair is the bomb. This location is good and also I have been to other locations as well and they all serve excellent food. I go there regularly and I love it. Theres not much space to eat there and you cant get delivery as far as Im concerned but besides that everythings good to go. Theres lots of parking. Its a great location. right in the heart of walnut Grove where all the neighbors are welcoming and nice polite people. You can get your food fast and its delicious. I usually get the super lamb down there which is double the meat and its great. But they also have chicken and beef and they got other full dishes you can get with rice and Greek salad plus they give you drinks for cheap prices very affordable place to go eat and have your lunch or dinner or maybe even breakfast if thats your style but overall I like this place I like the location I would say to anybody to go eat there check it out for yourself let me know how it goes I almost guarantee that youre going to have a good pleasant meal and good environment and youll go back again once you try it once delicious sauces I forgot to mention as well go check it out holler at me

Be careful with these guys, they try to rip you off by over charging you without a receipt and your consent. Make sure to ask for a detailed receipt. Worst customer service and the staff are clueless standing there without any product knowledge. I would never visit again.

Good quality and tasty wraps. One warp will fill you out good. Since this place has so much volume, you can expect food to be fresh all the time. If you like spicy, ask the warp maker cut and put some green chiles and they are happy to do it for you. c50 charge for cheese not worth it. Update: Very poorest customer service ever received. Girl with glass was very rode working between 4.00 to 5.00on Sunday, April 3rd 2022.

Could ve given zero stars if it was possible. Worst place to have food at. The staff is very unhygienic and unprofessional. I ordered donair and salad and both of them had hair in it. I called the restaurant to talk to the manager and the employee refused to transfer me to the manager. She started blaming me and accusing me of lying to get free food. Worst place!

Food is delicious, but I disagree with the shady practice of putting every order large or small into a brown paper bag and then adding .25 to your bill without informing or asking. Terrible for the environment too. Shame on you. Check your bill!

I went 3 times to this place, the food is great BUT the customer service was HORRIBLE every time. The cashier rolled her eyes when I asked for one minute to choose a menu item lol... The staff get irritated when you ask them for small adjustments before completing your order (Some other reviewers mentioned that). They do not say simple things like Hello or Thank you and you could tell, they hate their job.

Ordered regular chicken donair and the chicken was dry. They leave it out too long. Hated paying for something I did not enjoy.

I ve lived in surrey for 10+ years and have frequented Donair Affair many many times over the years. This place has changed a lot, and sadly not in a good way. Seems like they ve sold or franchised it off, because the food quality keeps going downhill over the years. Really sad because this used to be a donair place to rave about. The rice platter went from being flavourful and cooked in chicken broth to plain cold white rice, quantity of chicken is less and less each time. I hope that the food quality can be improved, because this place used to be bomb.

The meat and rice are actually decent which is why this place even got two stars. But they DROWNED my meal in sauce. They put LADLES of sauce on top. The salad was drowning in dressing which was so sour. It tasted like they tossed the salad in just a ton of lemon juice. Had a few bites of whatever meat I could salvage and threw the rest out immediately. Waste of time and money.

Food is good. But brothers wash your hands. They sometimes handle your food without washing their hands. Let customers see you have cleaned your hands or make sure i dont see you touching my food at all. That should be the bear minimum.

The food is good but the customer service is bad. One of the lady cashiers who took my order was so rude (the one with the eyeglasses). She was so rude the way she got irritated and rolled her eyes when I told her I need a minute to look for the menu. Plus how talkative they were while preparing the orders without a mask and gloves.

I tried beef donair. Price and portion is alright but meats are pretty cold and soggy.

Got falafel rice platter and it was good. I tried other donair shops , they give full pita bread with platters but the girls there gave me half of it. They take more than $11 for that and cant give even full bread. Thats weird .

This used to be the go to place for me but due to the recent severe decrease in service and the younger male employee charging for three items when I only ordered two and walking away from the till to the back room before I could complain this is will be the last time I go.

First I want to say the food is amazing and well worth what you pay for it. That being said the customer service that you received is downright pitiful and quite disrespectful when you ask to make slight adjustments to make it easier to eat your your food like having it place in the container instead of a wrap. They accused me of trying to make your own menu and not understanding that youre just trying to save your clothes from all the mess. Its a shame that their outward communication ruins the food.

the works here handle your food with out gloves, so dirty hands. once they are done with your order they will touch there dirty computer and pain pad to take your payment. right after that they will help the next person in line with out cleaning their hands. I have now reported this to frasher health

This place USED to be awesome been going there since 2008. Think they have new owners. Staff was rue, if you made a request the reply was WHAT. The Donair was falling apart as he was placing it in the wrapper and tore the shell. I TOLD him that it was falling apart He continued to place in the wrapper. Will not go back

Amazing Donair! I order here a couple times a month and even though I get my donair by delivery, the food is still exceptionally fresh, flavourful and warm. Their hummus is amazing- unlike any other hummus I have tried. The lamb donair is my favourite. Never dry, always full of flavour. Quick, efficient service and well packaged.

The customer service is terrible. The lady, who I wasn t even sure if she was working as she wasn t wearing a mask and the other staff were, just stared at me until I finally gave her my order. When I went to pay I used my visa, it didn t work. The cashier asked if it was debit, I said no, it s credit. There was no further response for a few seconds. I then asked, does it have to be debit, she just nodded. Payed and tipped, and they just left the food on the counter and walked away. No smiles at all, seems like they hate their jobs, and the customers get their resentment.

Food is good. Customer service is awful. Item missing from my order and they said the delivery driver must have stole it. No item replacement, nothing. Just yelled at me like it was my fault. Won t be back

Absolutely rude and disrespectful customer service. Also very disgusting and terrible food handling, clearly the employees dont take food safe. There was a piece of chicken sticking out of my rice plate container and the employee pushed it back in with her un gloved, unwashed hand and then proceeded to touch money right after. I imagine they dont wash their hands in between as she did not do this before making my food. At any takeout place it is standard that they have 1 person on till 1 making food. I was so disgusted but was too hungry to throw my food out so I picked the top of it off that had the piece of chicken she touched. I didnt say anything because I didnt realize until after she touched the money how disgusting it is. They were also so rude. Any time you ask for any request they act like its the end of the world. Charged me extra for a tiny scoop of tabouli instead of greek salad. So messed up because the Greek salad would actually cost MORE to make than tabouli. Then when I asked for a fork they gave me the dirtiest look as if I am asking for the world. Rolled their eyes. Are you kidding me. I am always polite to customer service reps and know how terrible it is when customers are rude. But this was absolutely distasteful and I dont normally write bad reviews but I felt I needed for these c***s. The food itself was okayish but not enough to warrant giving more than 1 star.

Food is good but customer service is absolutely poor.

They use a good scam technique here: they ask you if you want everything on it (even though they don t specify what that includes, you can t see any of the ingredients they put in the donair, no written out list or anything), then they add cheese and charge you for it because you said yes to everything on it. The meat was salty, not well spread around the donair, all at the bottom, salty meat. Also they don t panini press the wrap just cold raw bread. Also a lot of lettuce and less other vegetables.

Not fresh...not even close: I am surprised to see los of good reviews fr food that is not that good. Either people dont know what real Middle Eastern should look and taste like, or they just dont have good taste buds. I am Middle Eastern an what I had doesnt even come close to true food: - falafel not fresh....they actually microwaved it infront of me. - chicken was dry. - Hummus was runny... disgusting. - Greek salad instead of fatoush or tabouli! Come on, really? Even the salad was not fresh because the tomatoes and cucumbers were mushy and not hard/ fresh - severe acid reflux/ heartburn - one of the servers was not wearing a mask - place is not that clean If you want authentic falafel and shawarma, then do your research online and pick another better place.

What the hell has happened to this place. 1.29 for sweet sauce. Very little meat, all the other donair affairs at the very least taste fresher and provide much better quality. Didnt even finish my rice bowl. This in particular Donair Affair went down hill.

Beef rice platter with extra feta, the works, extra pita bread and drinks. Our weekly cheat meal and worth every bite.I dont recommend any other DONAIR AFFAIR in the lower mainland except this particular franchise. The meat, sauce and the service is amazing. The owners been here and is a staple of the local community. His food is made with love. Which I found was not the same in other franchise stores of the same name. I personally ate at 3 other locations and the food quality isnt there. Sorry not sorry.

These guys dont know anything about customer service and they overcharge always, check your total as they are known for this. I bought a super beef donair, menu says 7.99 and a pop, guy charged me $14.50! When I walked in they all looked very angry, no smiles, no friendliness. They will be out of business quickly as why would anyone give them repeat business? I dont mind paying for good food but show some appreciation and make sure your charges are obvious. I dont mind paying $14.50, but I do mind when the menu says $7.99, pop couldnt be $6.

Ordered with Uber and it was absolutely delicious..I have been going here for many years and they are so top notch ..very fresh and very delicious

The worst rice platter I ve ever had. Meat and rice were cold and nothing tasted fresh. Bad customer service. Can t even see the ingredients and choices. I did not feel safe eating it.

I grab a Donair from here at least once a week. A generous helping of meat and a lovely sauce with lots of crunchy lettuce and Im set. Their rice platters are great, I love the rice and their meat portion is always large. Its at a great price. Im always satisfied with my purchase.

I ordered from this location today. I ordered a donair wrap with no onions or tomatoes. I received my order and my wrap had onions and tomatoes. I drove back to the restaurant, told them what was wrong, asked them to remake it. When they remade it, THEY STILL PUT ONIONS AND TOMATOES ON IT. Super disappointing that staff is incapable of following simple instructions.
