Ustaad G76 Indian Cuisine Newton in Surrey

The main reason you go to a restaurant is for food..and the food here was extremely disappointing. The achari chicken tikka and non veg thali were all too salty. Plus, we ordered a chicken biryani for take away. I can easily say this was the worst chicken biryani I have ever eaten. It s an insult to even call it a biryani. Not sure if this is the now the standard for all Ustad G or just the Scott Road one, but I m never going back to Ustad G again.

The food was so good we came twice in a row. We re visitors from California and everytime we come to Canada, ustaadji is a must for is. Tonight, Navjot, Puran, and Jaspreet were especially really kind hosts to us, we came in jist before closing and they welcomed my whole family, which was really sweet.

Thanks Navjot for accommodating us last minute, you were so kind and courteous. Best food in Surrey always! Loved Kulche, Goat Curry, Dal literally everything

Update: Amritsari Kulcha no longer worth spending money. We have been frequently coming here since last 3 years but the flavour has totally vanished. Previous review: I am so glad I went there. They have an amazing food and servers are super nice. We loved the food so much that we ended up going there twice on the same day. They were very kind to offer complimentary dessert on my husbands bday. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience at Ustaad G. We had ordered butter chicken with Lachha prantha.Trust me Lachha Prantha was mouth watering. It reminds me as I was at home with full of Ghee , coriander and the layers .... Considered as the best I have ever tasted. In addition to it , service was tremendous. Special Credit goes to Navjot who take care of each and every single thing of our menu and help to prepare the dish according to our own taste. Highly Recommended

Worst food and service ever get. No welcoming staff we have to ask everything every time staff is very rude and unprofessional. Talking continuously not a single server had interest in serving we have to call them from counter every single time now talking about food if I can give below than 1 star rating I will go for that doesn t have a taste at all very disappointed

After that we tried mix Amritsar kulcha, that was must try item which actually took me back to the memories of Amritsar, punjab. For the main course I chose butter chicken and it was a revelation. I ordered amritsari kulcha from uber when i received i saw the chutney be like mixed with water no taste and also get a hair in the kulcha when i called them they be like order something from uber and we will send you the kulcha again after a horrible incident how could i again take a risk to order from them. If youre craving Amritsari Kulcha, I recommend going elsewhere. Avoid this restaurant entirely. I usually rate places as either excellent or terrible, and this one definitely falls into the terrible category. If you truly want authentic Amritsari Kulcha, there are plenty of lesser-known spots in Surrey that actually serve something resembling it. Eating here feels more like having an aloo paratha. Their food was much better before the hype took over. Now, not only is the Kulcha disappointing, but they also cut down on portions with online orders. If youre charging $15 for a Kulcha, it should be worth the price. Dont exploit your customers.

Literally Ustaad g s reviews are 80% fake, I went to the Abbotsford location and the food was so bad but I figured might try this one and it was even worse, I was surprised to see how many good reviews they have until I opened up the profiles of them and you can clearly see that they re fake. Overall the whole experience not from one location but two was horrible.

The most unhygienic restaurant I have ever been to, mosquitos were everywhere, bathrooms were dirty. Food was very low quality, with extremely salty and watery gravy, naan was dry.

The food tasted Amazing but we didn t feel well after couple of hours. I just speculated that they use a lot more MSG to make their food taste better. I recommend you all restaurant owners to identify MSG free Meals on their Menu so that we can make an informed decision. Again, I am just speculating, if it s not true it could be a bad day.
