I go to Kathmandu very often. I like the food, yesterday me and my friend went in there and we ordered some food. We finished our food and there was this menu sitting on the table that clearly says If the server does not mention the deal of the day you will get a gulab jamun for free . So not to be rude but I called the server very nicely I said you guys did not mention it so as per this we will get a free gulab jamun. She said oh I will tell you now, I said but that does not make sense we are were here for 2-3 hours we finished all our food. She said no no this works after you pay but you guys were still eating so we did not mention it you. I said okay I get it but why is it not written here then. You should mention it very clearly that after your payment. Like isn t it common sense, why would a customer get drinks once they finish and are ready to pay. Anyways listening to this, a lady from the Bar came (super rude), she was like you can get gulab jamun after you pay. I said I mentioned it you then only you told me otherwise you wouldn t have mentioned it. She took our plates, gave us such a bad attitude and very rudely said it s okay we will give you. ITS NOT ABOUT GULAB JAMUN, ITS ABOUT BEING FAIR. It s not like I have never had a piece of gulab jamun in my life. But if you have written something and don t follow that, on top of that it s you mistake and you are being rude that is so bad. I really like the place the only problem I had was the attitude. I also work in customer service, just accept the fact that you made the mistake if not atleast don t give us an attitude, it is not going out of your pocket. I hope they change the menu and mention it clearly.

Tasty food and very soft spoken servers. Probably first restaurant in Vancouver area to charge take out boxes for left over food on a $150 food bill . Manager needs customer retention training as you may lose a customer although your food is very tasty.

I visited here to pick up food for a friend and decided to try some food as well. There Nepali noodles were exactly street style noodles you get in India. I will highly recommend it. Food : 5/5

I have been going and ordering from here a couple of times now. My recent experience was not good. We ordered hakka noodles, momos, Nepali Thali and paneer chilli. Thali and momos were good. I believe the noodles were not fresh. Why? At that time I did not notice anything. Back home I had stomach pains and had to go to toilet a couple of times. I suspected food poisoning but my wife was ok. We did pack leftovers, my wife did not have noodles in the restaurant and had it for dinner. She also complained the same. I too had the leftovers and got the runs again. This did confirm my suspicion. Overall the food is good but I think they should monitor more on the freshness of the food they are serving.

Must try hot mustang wings, Hakka noddles,chilli chicken and fish chili. If you like biryani get their prawns biryani. Good deals on beers

We went for a dinner yesterday. All the dishes we ordered was good but not upto our satisfaction. Our expectations are more than we had. We are not visiting here anymore. Server who attended us is very well behaved and very helpful.

I tried four types of momos and chicken wings, but none of them were good. As a momo fan, I was disappointed, especially since the highly recommended Mustang hot didn t live up to expectations. However, I did appreciate the service staff members were always smiling and ready to assist, which made the experience more pleasant. I ended up leaving a tip for their good service.

Absolute garbage! 3rd grade service & food. Somehow they charge 10% PST & I have a receipt for it. Servers are horrible and know nothing about customer service. Owner doesnt wanna listen anything about his food. Dont waste your time & money here.

Ive only experienced pick up & delivery service however really enjoy the food especially the momos & nepali chow mein. Not a fan of the butter chicken not like traditional indian style. Nice selection & diverse. Prices are fair, servings are large.

We often go to this place & the food is just amazing we have tried veg & non veg dishes theyre all incredibly tasty & well cooked. We tried different drinks & cocktails are awesome too. My kids love their panipuri & shakes. So far we tried Manchurian chicken, Momos, Butter chicken, Biryani, Wings, Vege thali, Chicken friedrice, Singaporian style chicken chowmein...tried thin noodles and our favorite Fish tikka

This place used to be my favourite place but after 45 mins of waiting they cancelled my order at night after that I have no place to order noodles/momo afterwards, really disappointing

It was my first time in kathmandu bar and grill. We came to Vancouver for our vacation and want to try authentic Nepali cuisine. We tried Momo, butter chicken, chow-min, waiwai sadeko and nepali khana set. Everything was delicious and serice was top notch. We were really impressed with the quality of food, service and atmosphere of there. Keep up the good work and would highly recommend everyone to go there.

Ok, so this has been only one restaurant to which we travelled from Langley always, we haven t even tried other s yet. I visited yesterday, and I specifically mentioned I don t want any cilantro in my food as i am allergic. My food came with cilantro, I asked the server lady to please change, she got it changed and I starred eating, then I realised that they didn t change my order but removed cilantro from top, I obviously had started eating by that time. I realised there were cilantro leaves at the bottom. This is very casual. I would have never left a review if I was not sick. I am sick since last evening obviously because of my allergens. I hope this issue is addressed. Very disappointed, you cannot take allergens so casual. Please be mindful.

Consistently excellent food. This is our go to place in the neighbourhood. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend the dahl, the chow mein noodles, and their rumali naan.

Food is good but the atmosphere is more bar like than a family restaurant. Food took longer than usual to arrive, although it was delicious.

I ordered always from your restaurant mustang hot momos and malai paneer tikka but this time mustang hot momos are burnt and all of the malai paneer tikka is full of salt .. I ordered online from uber eats just because we were not abel to dine in but the customer service is worsen than food .The girl name kanika told to the other girl aruna who is talking to me that just let the customer know that they can come to fhe restaurant and show to us in hindi language which language I can understand also thats a very rude behaviour. I will never visit now there just because of this behaviour even with their own mistake

I have to say this is one of the most underrated restaurants. From the first day l ate here, I fell in love with their food. Whenever I want something full of flavour, I just visit. Their dishes are packed with authentic Indian flavors. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves to try delicious food. I visit often, and they never disappoint. Vegetarian options: Chilli mushroom is one of the best dish.

Worst restraunt in surrey. I would never reccomend this restraunt to anybody. Tasteless food and terrible service. Owner have zero knowledge about customer service. I was not complaining i just went their to discuss my concern with the owner but he told me that i can go to their competitors ( Spice of nepal). I went their right away and now i can see the difference why spice of nepal is more busy than this place. Their food and service is always on point. They lost me and all my friends as a customer.

Ordered veg. Singaporean Noodles for the very first time... their menu says this-n-that about added veggies. But in real dish all were missing except some green onion... DISAPPOINTED

Great authentic taste for Indian food. I tried many restaurants in Canada but only very few gives a real taste of Indian food. Tried Pani puri, tandoori momos, Singaporean noodles, Desi style Tawa chicken (Spice level 4).

I did order Singapore thin noodle via Ubereats yesterday and it was the worst Singapore thin noodle I have ever had. I ordered it medium spicy but, it was at the no spicy level. Not flavorful and was very dry.

I recently visited Kathmandu Grill in Surrey and had an unfortunate experience with a server named Simran. The server made an inappropriate comment that left me feeling humiliated and affected my ability to enjoy the meal. I hope the staff can be more considerate in their interactions to ensure a better experience for all customers.

This place used to be my go-to place for momos and noodles. But my recent experience with this place is nothing short of terrible. I had placed an order over call for pick-up and was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. However the person taking my order forgot to punch it and only realized it after I arrived for pickup. Even then I had to wait for additional 20 minutes before the staff realized their mistake. I had already wasted a good amount of time and couldn t wait anymore and walked out empty handed and super hungry (mind you this was at around 11:20 pm and I had placed my order at 10:15). I understand that the place was flooded with customers for dine-in and the staff was overwhelmed but if this continues in future then this restaurant will lose it s loyal customers. I am hesitant to visit here next time, hopefully the owner addresses such issues for takeout orders

But from this year the food tastes pathetic every time.. went there yesterday for dinner whatever food we had was so bad and even the service is super slow now there are only 1-2 servers working for all the tables every time we have to wait for so long Literally our stomach is upset and hurting continuously since we had dinner Never going back again only good for Momos everything else is so bad now

Awesome Nepali Chinese cuisine .we had a party order for 25 people and Sandeshji arranged the order very efficient. Tastiest fried rice, Manchurian and chowmein ..100 percent recommended for someone who is craving indo style Chinese .

Worst Tandoori Malai Chaap i have eaten in my life.. Now i cannot un remember it. Please never order a Malai chaap here, poorly made, tasteless and bland food. I would say, Avoid any tandoori items. Chilli Paneer momos were below average, The chilli gravy of the momos was much better compared to the momos. Singaporean Chownein and Manchurain was average. Okay to eat.nothing fancy, service was okay. Nobody reached out to us after taking the first order. Seems they forgot about the table after they dropped the food. No courtesy or any feedback asked on the table like in good restaurants generally servers come to your table to ask for any condiments, any other needs and extra order, take feedback. Nothing , we were forgotten. Complete waste of money.

Went on Thursday evening. Food was mediocre at best, the taste was off. Service was quick . We ordered paneer momos , singapore chowmein , malai chaap , veg manchurian . Spent about $35 with tips.

Went in at 10pm on a Saturday night. The place was packed and it took us a few mins to be seated. We had decided our order ahead of time and called the server using the call button on the table, ready to place the order. The server showed up with water 15 mins later and took our order of 1 drink, 1 momo and 1 noodles. At 10:50pm we received the order of momos, took a bite and realized they gave us lamb momos instead of vegetarian. Apologized saying it is very busy so the order got mixed up with another table. We asked if we could at least get the drink while we wait for food, server went and put the order in and came back with it 5 mins later. At 11:10 we still didn t have any food on our table, so we left cash for the drink and walked out. While we were waiting, there were 5 other parties that weee seated after us and 3 of them with much larger groups had all received multiple orders. It was the most frustrating and disappointing dining experience. I am sure the food tastes great but the place is not equipped to deal with crowds.

I had a very disappointing experience at Kathmandu Restaurant yesterday. We ordered two plates of momos, and the girl with blue eyes who took our order assured us it would be ready in just 2 minutes. After waiting for half an hour, we had to call her over, only to be informed that there was a kitchen issue. She then offered us veg momos instead of the malai momos we had ordered. We declined, as this wasnt what we wanted, and ended up leaving without eating anything. It was a complete waste of our time. The lack of communication and poor service was very frustrating. We wont be returning.

Best momos i ever had!

Food is good, me and my husband have been regular customers since it opened as we used to go to spice of nepal earlier. This recent visit has been such a disaster we went for a lunch when we entered restaurant no one attended us we had to wave at the server who just looked at us from the kitchen and then she came and asked if we need a second menu while she could clearly see we were two people. When I asked for a drinks menu server if I m not wrong named Kanika rolled her eyes on me don t know why but that was really disrespectful. We tried ordering a pitcher and a cocktail but the server went onto asking so many questions leading us to take one drink each and eat our food get out basically as per her customer service was so great, never coming again and would tell all couples and especially indians to avoid visiting this place and go to a place where you get respect and service as this place with this server has 0 service.

Im a Nepalese and the chicken momo I got was delicious but somehow the sauce I ordered online wasnt the same as I got it at the restaurant and sadly my friend works there and I am a regular customer. Its disappointing to say but its not worth to get the monos online as its to go and eat physically.

The food was amazing, but what got me back to this restaurant is the service, and they didn t disappoint. Their server Salina is so hardworking and sweet, she made the experience even better. Saw both the girls working in the front put so much effort in making sure everyone was having a comfortable and nice time! Kudos to the management

I visited this restaurant yesterday night for the very first time, it was busy due to weekend but still we got served the best. Salina served us the dinner and made sure we were okay with everything. We had appetizers and dessert, and I was satisfied with the taste, the vibe and the money I spent. Would visit again for sure :)

Ordered their Steamed Momos, Mustang Momos and Malai Momos. I would rate Mustang Momos as the best for Spice lovers. Steamed ones were okayish And their Nepalese Chowmein were above and beyond. Loved the flavors and quantity.

Its a good place if you are craving chinese/nepalese cuisine. I was craving for thukpa so visited it. We ordered veg thukpa, monchow soup, steamed momos, chilli momos, mushrooms, nepalese noodles. Everything was served quickly. Servers were polite. Food was delicious. We customized spice level as medium and i think we did the right thing. Ambience was soothing with touch of buddhist culture in the background. They do have deal of the day but sadly it was not available the day we went. So a bit disappointed coz the pamphlet in the table mentioned about deal of the day which we can get free if the server doesnt inform us about it. But when asked it wasn t available. That feels like a fake promise to a customer. But otherwise it was affordable and delicious. Will surely visit again.

I usually dine-in in this restaurant with my wife we are from chilliwack but often when we are in surrey we go down to this place, Apr 15, 24 we visited sometime in the afternoon, no one greeted when we came in I had to wave at the server who was inside that we are here, so we sat ourselves on one of the tables. The server without saying any hi hello nothing in a rude manner said do you want another menu to which I had to say dont worry about it. She came back after such a long time to take order, again no hi hello just stood there at our table saying you ready, gave our order and asked her if I could get the drinks menu to which server Kanika rolled her eyes turned around and came back with the menu. Me and my wife wanted to order a pitcher to share and one cocktail to try but the server not sure she asked us so many questions who will drink what when why that was so rude we wanted to leave at that point but already had ordered food and then she ended up confusing us and rudely said she can t give out the pitcher which was really weird as we have been there multiple times and this has never happened. We were there to spend quality time and have good food, I don t understand why all that negativity from server, never going back to this place.

This is my go to soul food restaurant. The staff is kind, polite, remember you & if you re a regular, they also know what you might order. The food is absolutely delicious & phenomenal with fair quantities, considering the price. The manager is super friendly, checks on you when he s not overtly busy & the vibe is super chill. You have two television on both ends playing sports. Old school swing top glass water bottles & lovely dine in tables with their logo embossed with epoxy finished surfaces. I take all my friends here & it s the perfect place to chill and relax after a long day. Despite being a teetotaler, I can say they have a wide variety of options for alcoholic beverages. Try them. You shan t regret. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options to choose from! Dietary restrictions: They have vegan friendly options.

It was delightful experience with my Uber eats from this restaurant, the food arrived promptly and was still warm, which was a great start. I ordered the steamed momos, veg spring roll and manchow soup. It was absolutely delicious. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with this restaurant. I highly recommended giving them a try.

I usually go to this place for their momos, which I love. But the rest of their food is usually a hit or a miss. Their servers lack knowledge of drinks and cocktails. I was once served a gin and tonic with soda instead of tonic because the server didnt know they were different. The same night, I was served a margarita with vodka instead of tequila because yet again, the server didnt know what a margarita comes with. Something like this shouldnt happen at a restaurant that literally has Bar and Grill in its name.

So I usually order from this restaurant because food is delicious, but this has happened second time they kinda missed something in my order .. I did uber eats and they missed my sauces which I specifically mentioned and paid and upon calling all they had to say if i can comeover and pickup sauces .. i mean why i did online order if i had to pick it up . So what about it now nothing ?
