Disappointing Food Experience, Service Was Good We recently visited this restaurant in Surrey for a birthday party dinner with a group of five. It was our first time there, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations, especially when it came to the food. We ordered several main course dishes, including Dal Makhani, Chicken Korma, Egg Bhurji, and Raita, along with a variety of breads like Garlic Naan, Butter Roti, and Lacha Paratha. Sadly, none of the curries tasted good at all. To make matters worse, the Lacha Paratha and Garlic Naan were undercooked, which really took away from the meal. For dessert, we had Amritsari Falooda Ice Cream and regular Falooda Ice Cream, but both tasted like they were just made from syrup, lacking any real flavor or authenticity. On the positive side, the service was great. The girls serving us were polite and attentive, which we appreciated. However, the food quality really needs to be improved. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it. I hope the restaurant considers upgrading their food quality for a better experience in the future. Thank you 🙏
Indian styled coffee was one of the major reason to visit this restaurant and thank God coffee was superb. Other than this I tried Dahi bhalla chaat, Malayi chaap, and Amritsari kulcha. Bhalla chaat was really tasty a must try item, even Malayi chaat was sizzling hot, yum. Amritsari kulcha was okay for me because it was too much spicy. It’s a quick suggestion please ask guests about their spice level priorly. Overall, I enjoyed the vibe thanks
I visited Ambar surrey dhabba unfortunately, received a burnt butter naan with my order. The naan was charred and had a bitter taste, which affected my overall dining experience. I wanted to let you know so this can be addressed..

selected Ambar Surrey location as it was close to my friends house and advertised vegetarian options Food, service and atmosphere were ok We advised the server that we wanted to avoid spicy, but one of the dishes was to spicy for our taste tried two non alcoholic drinks - quantities were generous and they presented well odd experience that the women’s washrooms lights were non functional - this was annoying
Excellent food quality guys I could give 5 stars for that. Dal makhni was really good. My order was ready to pickup and I still ended up waiting more than 15 minutes, an advise for you guys to not to update the status of the order to ready if it’s not ready. Also the packing of the container wasn’t good either as you can see in the picture.
Visited Ambar Surrey Restaurant & Dhaba for dinner since I wanted to try out the Punjabi dhaba food after a while. The ambience of this restaurant was above my expectations. It was nice and the layout was great. The server for our table was very pleasing and regularly checked with us if the food was good or if we needed anything. We ordered vegetable noodles, vegetable fried rice, vegetable manchurian and vegetarian thali with an extra tandoori roti. The vegetable noodles and rice were okay but the manchurian tasted good. However, the manchurian balls were small in size. Since white vinegar with cut green chillies wasn’t served with the Chinese dishes, I asked for it and when it was brought, there was only vinegar without the green chillies. That was kind of a letdown. The vegetarian thali was good. The mixed vegetables and shahi paneer were delicious. The roti was crisp and tasty too. We ordered another tandoori roti and that took longer than expected to arrive. In the end, for desserts, we ordered kulfi faluda. The presentation wasn’t good as it didn’t look like an actual kulfi faluda. I was expecting something much better since this is something very much liked by people. Overall a good experience trying out a dhaba in Surrey.
All food we ordered tasted great. Service was quick and the waitress treated us well. Menu has many traditional north Indian food and chats. Presentation of the food was good as well. Clean bathrooms and decent parking lot.
Great food and excellent service here. The Paneer Tikka Masala is my absolute favorite rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend! And both girls are amazing!
The food was pretty average. We ordered paneer Tikka masala, malai kofta, malai soya chaap and tandoori prawn. Everything was below average. Service was really slow. I wouldnt recommend going here

We visited Ambar today and it was the best Indian food we have ever had. The food came quick, very delicious and the service was great. We had the butter chicken, lamb biryani, aloo gobi, garlic naan, raita, and the samosas. The masala chai was also amazing! All the food was very flavorful, well prepared, and elegantly served. Would definitely come again! Kid-friendliness: They have their own kids menu and all the food is very good. My daughter got the chicken nuggets and fries and everything was prepared fresh.

The food was amazing, and the environment was also very unique; there are different parts of Punjab in each sitting area. I loved the food. I ordered chicken tikka and sides, and it was delicous. We ordered food for our Diwali party and the food was amazing. Loved their signature malai soya champ, chilli chicken and chicken pizza. The main course food was also great. And the quantity and cost was very reasonable. Strongly recommend their food for any house parties. Shout out to their manager Amrit who was great to work with.

We ordered 2 rasmali first of all they packed both in a single box, there is a reason someone asks for two. The other things was, after I went back to correct my order they only gave one spoon for two dishes. The food quality was terrible milk in rasmalia was sour and rasmalia itself was stale like its been sitting for a week before serving.

Right from the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were captivated by the beautiful ambience and the smiling faces of the servers who kindly escorted us to our seats. Then came the most delicious food, which was served by Gurleen. She was ever-smiling, very kind-hearted and humble. She was extremely approachable and was very prompt in answering our doubts. Everything we ordered right, from Honey chilli potatoes, Chole Bhature, Aloo tikki, and Pani puri to Veggie Noodles from the appetizers, was not just wonderfully presented but also won our hearts tastewise. My son loved the veggie noodles so much that he ordered it twice . The chefs, indeed, knew how to entice our tastebuds. Not to forget the desserts that we ordered like Rabri falooda and the complimentary Rasmalai. It was heavenly . I called in the evening and asked to order a specific chicken dish that I had seen on their menu. The person on the other end of the phone took my order and asked me to wait on hold. After about a minute the call dropped. I called back to confirm the order and was promptly hung up on. One could reasonably assume I had done something to offend them, but I can assure anyone reading this I didn t. I went out of my way to be conversational and polite. All in all a pretty bizarre experience. I hope they serve good food, but I doubt I ll ever find out.

I have been living in Surrey for last 28 years and usually try different restaurants , I have never had such bad goat curry probably the worst I have had in this city . It had big chunks of raw onions and tomatoes not properly cooked . I don t mind thr curry chicken but goat curry is a BIG no .
