Last week I had a business lunch at Browns Socialhouse Surrey Centre. It offers a welcoming vibe with speedy and efficient service. They had a decent menu and the food we ordered was well prepared, flavorful. Whether you are doing business with clients or just having a bite on your way, it is the place to hop in. I would come back for more business lunches or meals.

Good service

Food was okay, a little salty. Service was meh, understaffed, lack of attention to detail, didnt offer refills or water. Atmosphere was good, nice songs and games were on. If you want to get drunk and watch a game in a good Atmosphere with average service, this is the spot

I havent been to this Browns in a few years, so my friend and I decided to give it another try. The last time we went, the service and food were subpar. This time the service was great, the waitress was very nice and efficient. We were there for Happy Hour. They have a few food items as well as drinks on that menu. I ordered the spicy beef tacos. They were 3 small soft tacos, stuffed with spicy ground beef. I really enjoyed them. It wasnt a heavy meal,which was fine with me because I didnt want a full meal anyway. I would definitely order them again. I am quite happy with this location this time, and I will go back again.

We had an office gathering today and I have been here before but the service was absolutely the worst. We were on the patio and the place was not very busy but the staff were talking amongst each other inside rather than attending our table. Glasses were cleared from the table without asking from more than one of my colleagues and then we had to actually go inside to get new glasses as nobody was coming to the patio. Horrible experience.

Been ordering takeout the past few weeks. Staff is always quick, thoughtful and friendly, which means a lot nowadays. Love the Thai soup + salad (I chose Caesar) + garlic toast combo. Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken is also delicious. I would also consider them to be sensitive to and kind about food allergies. Great portions I do wish the soup was a bit bigger, but that s just because I love the soup. No fault on their part. Thanks all :)

Waitresses were amazing

Great service, very accommodating. Food was excellent. Only problem is the usual in restaurants, the music is so loud you cant easily talk with anyone.

The worst service I have ever had at Browns. Never was attended to by wait staff. Manager took the food order and we had to flag down the waiter from another section to pay after 20 minutes of finished eating and drinking. Will not be back to this location.

The chicken Thai soup! OMG! Honestly wish I got the bigger bowl, it was amazing! The chicken Dragon bowl was good and filling, didnt manage to eat it all! Definitely need to go back for more soup before leaving here! Food

called in to order the fettuccini alfredo with mushrooms, sub grilled chicken. they said it would take 15-20 mins. i arrived 15 min later. the restaurant did not smell very pleasant when i walked in, and also was not very busy, but my order wasn t ready yet. the waitress said 2 minutes as per the kitchen. i waited over 5 mins and it still wasn t ready. the waitress apologized and told me that the kitchen guy was new and hadn t actually started it yet, but that the head guy was now on my order and will actually take 2 minutes. got my order 10 mins after i arrived. took it home and found that the girl who took my order over the phone got my number wrong and also did not punch in to sub the blackened chicken for the grilled, so i had a very salty blackened chicken for my order. pasta was good but also salty because of the bacon. i ve had better from this place before so it was kind of disappointing.

Always a good vibe

We had a work lunch here of 17 people so we preordered for everyone for a smoother process. They had everything organized and had our orders ready when we arrived which was great! However, I ordered the southwest rice bowl as usual but this time it was not well made as it was quite dry. I had also replaced the chicken with tofu but they charged me extra without letting me know which was not good. The server we had was also not friendly and it just seemed like they wanted us out of restaurant ASAP since they made us pay while eating. So this ruined all of our experience so won t be organizing anything here anymore. Love browns but dislike this location.

Came here 4 years ago for my 18th birthday and came back for my 22nd birthday! we loved our server Joanna haha she was our server twice both times we went ! We loved her lots ! She was very kind !! Love our food !! Soo good !! Recommend to bring your friends or family for any event !!

Visited this location recently and didn t receive the best service. After we spoke to the duty manager then things picked up. They have a kids menu but didn t have kids colouring and crayons like other locations. Consistency would be nice. As well for being a family restaurant it s way too dark at this location and when asked if we could increase lighting we were told it s controlled by head office.

Great food, great service, bad music. Fish tacos are excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Music too loud and not well suited to older crowd in for dinner on a weeknight before 7pm.

Restaurants are really in trouble... I used to love this location but like all restaurants they have cut quality and increased costs. The last time I received an order from here was the last straw. I ordered through Skip the dishes, first mistake. The total for 2 people ended up being over $70 with tip. Thats for a chicken burger and a rice bowl!! $70!!! lol Ok so the foods going to be great for $70 right? nope it was inedible. The crispy chicken sandwich I received which Ive had plenty of times in the past from this location was literally inedible. This sandwich has a fairly thick crispy batter which is fine as long as its actually cooked. Chicken breast covered in uncooked batter? essentially chicken breast with a half inch of gooey batter slime yummy. The dragon bowl my mom ordered was laughable. Keep in mind this is a RICE BOWL. This rice bowl literally had a tablespoon of rice in it!! like is this a joke?? lol anyways wont and havent eaten here since. Im pretty sure restaurants will be one of the first classic industries to go down the drain in these incredibly expensive times. If you read below that was my review from 2 years ago when this place served edible food still... This is a nice convenient location near Surrey Central City Mall. Very friendly staff here. Whoever does the hiring knows what theyre doing as I am always very pleased with the service. The food is good but a tad pricey. The crispy chicken sandwich is really good and huge I mean this burger looks like they do in commercials its huge and stacked with fresh veggies. I also recommend the Dragon bowls also fantastic. Keep up the stellar work :)

I was late getting to the restaurant. My friends ordered for me and it really wasnt to my taste . No fault of the restaurant or the server but I didnt eat it. The server noticed I had barely touched the meal I told her the story . I was willing to pay because it was my fault . She returned with a smile and a bill with no charge. Excellent customer service. I will definitely retun. Other people in my party will as well I am sure

Everything was awesome! The food was delicious! I have ordered the steak + pasta (a delicious fettuccine Alfredo). I will be back for sure! Tony has provided us an excellent customer experience!

Don t get the guac and chips. They charge u 8 bucks and give u 10 chips and an ice cream scoop of guac that looks pre made.

Worst Browns restaurant Ive ever been to. We went on December 13 2023 for Christmas lunch from work. We were seated in the main lobby area where there are no windows at the top so it is basically open. There was a black curtain hanging in front of the opening but that didnt stop the King George blvd traffic noise or construction noise. They had the overhead heaters on but the noise was unbearable. We couldnt hear each other talking especially with other guests seated in the same area and proximity. Our waitress was too busy serving a majority of the restaurant so we sat around for 30 mins before our food order was taken. We waited another 45 mins for the food to finally arrive. The restaurant needs to understand that people come during work and that means they have to return to work on time or at least within a reasonable amount of time. We pretty much spent our lunch break waiting to be served. I asked a male employee who was dressed up so Im assuming they were the manager for some salt and he said ok. He never came back and so I had to call upon a different waitress. My wife and her co-workers went to this restaurant for lunch earlier this year and had the same experience. After waiting for so long for their food while their lunch break was about to end, they told the waitress that they would be taking the food to go as they were not able to eat in the restaurant. Management needs to be fired. I would never go back here again.

This was the worst food and drinks i had in a really long time. The food was not fresh, I ordered crispy cauliflower and some fries but it made me and my friend sick. We also asked for less ice in our drinks but more half of the glass was filled with ice.

Just ordered through Skip. I just paid $15.50 for these 4 potato skins.. Just an FYI to anyone out there..

We came in for dinner and drinks, we were seated in the corner of the patio and forgotten about for 30 min. Ty (assistant GM) noticed this and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I would have left a 1 star review if it was not for her salvaging the evening. Thanks again Ty.

Really amazing food and service! I loved the ahi tuna salad but they took it off the menu awhile back and I was super sad so they changed a few things from another salad dish and came up with something similar that was just as amazing! Highly recommend this place. Side note- The burgers are always amazing too and the ALASKAN GRAVY. YUM. Update.. the cauliflower bites were very good but the portion for $14 was INSANE. i paid $8 thankfully it was happy hour special but even that was kind of ridiculous.

Have visited Browns Socialhouse locations multiple times during my holiday in British Columbia. Great casual spot for a meal with friends & family with reasonable prices. Big & spacious with plenty of seating. Delicious food and big portions; they have a huge menu with several options for everyone. Lots of drinks to choose from aswell from their fully equipped bar. Would highly recommend the loaded nachos - make sure to add on the chicken and the charred tomato salsa! Also the chocolate brownie was incredible!! Giving this location 4 stars rather than 5 as the service was quite slow even though it wasn t that busy. Our servers were friendly and attentive, but a few of our drinks were forgotten, and the food took quite a while to come out, with all the mains arriving at different times. The last main (fried chicken burger) came out so late that the rest of us had already finished eating - the staff did give him free dessert as an apology, which was a nice gesture though.

I had a bowl. The sauce was so salty, everything was very salty. Enough to give anyone hypertension. The staff are very friendly.

It was a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Especially the one at the bar. I went twice to this place at different times and will go again whenever time permits. If you are a vegetarian like me, they have a few options to try like the Loaded/little nachos and crispy cauliflower. I hope they add more options for people like me. The beer on tap is great and make sure you for any specific cocktails as they dont have everything written on the menu but the bar attender is very great to make sure he will do his best with available liquors. I recommend this place. Vegetarian options: They have very few options for vegetarians. Crispy cauliflower, nachos and veggie burgers. Look for their full menu to make sure you know what you are looking for.

Service was not gud

They had a medical emergency while I was there and everyone acted professionally with class. Food was amazing, definitely coming back.

I dined twice this week and was cheated with recipe on the menu. Although server was nice but both time recipe did not have chicken as per menu, especially on April 14 butter chicken has roasted cheese/tofu pieces instead of chicken. Chef might be thinking that no one can find the difference between cheese and chicken in a thick curry, other time , the menu item was Bowl with teriyaki chicken. They should say we dont have enough ingredient today for this recipe instead of cheating.

Very nice restaurant with good food, good ambiance and very good customer service. We had yam and avacado roll, crispy cauliflower and nachos. Everything was very delicious. The customer service is excellent. We had an amazing time.

I ordered food from this location twice for lunch takeout first time ordered fish and chips got the fish but no chips second time ordered blackened Alfredo chicken pasta the pasta had no Alfredo sauce dry pasta dont know whats going on there but the chefs/cooks dont know what they are doing never getting food from there again Id give them zero stars if I could.

Weve gone to this location a few times, and keep getting the same waitress: Gabby. Shes attentive without being overwhelming and went the extra mile to make us comfortable with the glaring sunlight. The food is great (thats why we keep coming back). Vegetarian options: The tofu dragon is not a consolation prize but a killer good dish.

Browns Socialhouse and this location specifically has been my go-to restaurant for 2 years now. Theyre consistent with the taste of food and quality, and the servers have all been nice and friendly. I recommend getting their dessert, especially the brownie. Its so delicious and melts in your mouth!

This was our first time at this location, the server messed up our order, but we understand that it happens as it was so busy, they really wanted us to feel comfortable after that and we were able to feel that warmth and the efforts they were making to not make us feel left out . It s been years , this place never disappoints.

Our first time at Browns! We are going to return. Very friendly and welcoming staff!! That s is a refreshing change from some other restaurants. The server was friendly, in helping with ordering, she was attentive to our requests and quick to return to ask how we were doing. The floor manager Arti was very helpful and checked in on our first bites. I was very impressed with everything and will definitely be back! We also noticed that the music was too loud and we could have a conversation without having to raise our voices (that was nice) 5/5 stars!
