Ruex Cafe and Bar in Surrey

Really interesting and fun fusion mix that you wont find elsewhere. Cant go wrong with any of their dishes.

Such a cute place for brunch! They have a gluten free, a dairy free, and a small vegan menu, which was great for me. They dont make substitutions, but they will put things on the side if needed. I got the gluten free chicken and waffles, with the cheese on the side. The waffles were a little dry without the ricotta but the red sauce helped with that. The corn fritters, however, were to die for! The avocado and pickled red onion were the perfect pairing. My friend got the peach hotcake and says it to was fantastic. The drink menu is also very good, lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to choose from. We did arrive just before a rush, so it might be a good idea to make a reservation on the weekends.

The menu has amazing, creative fusion dishes that are beautifully plated. And delicious, so delicious! The place has a casual vibe. The menus were a bit sticky but te food made up for it.

Been here once before and its just ok. This last time however was awful, the place just looks half done, the music kept turning off and then was way too loud and then utter silence again. The table next to us had half eaten food sitting there for 20 minutes just gathering flies. The server didnt seem to be able to answer basic questions about the menu and then served us watered down drinks. Our food wasnt served to us for over 30 minutes and we were one of two tables in the restaurant. When it finally came out after I had to ask a server what what going on, the food was lukewarm and the fries had a stodgy texture of being fried in old oil. Very dissapointing experience, probably had to do with the fact that it was so slow and everyone was just doing nothing or hanging out in the kitchen. With the amount of people in there you would think the food would be out quicker.

Went there for brunch yesterday. Place was not busy since we were there 10.15 am. Waiter spilled water on the table while filling up our glass with water. He didn t care to wipe the water. We ordered Aussie brekky, it was ok. First he said they had decaf coffee but later came and said they don t. We asked for butter and they came back with frozen butter which was so hard to spread on the bread. For me when I am going out I expect a good service and enjoy my outing. Going out to eat is not cheap so better service makes a huge difference.

Ladies!!! This is your sign to have your first dates at Ruex Cafe & Bar. I recently had a first date here and though the date wasnt memorable, my experience at Ruex was. I arrived early and told the bartender and hostess that I was going to have a first date. They both kept an eye on me, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and even debriefed with me after. Its such a comfortable and safe, yet fun and sexy place for a first date. 10/10 recommend.

The presentation was good and food tastes good. It could be a hangout place for girls day out. Nice effort by the staff. Good job everyone keep it up

Super disappointed. Everything looked amazing but quality was lacking as was seasoning. I had chicken and waffles, waffles tasted like the had been made earlier in the week and were going stale. They were also not warm. The chicken was OK the sauce was bland. Too bad. Staff was friendly though.

The food was terrible. The Chicken Supreme, was supremely dry. The vegetable medley they described on the menu was actually A vegetable. I wouldnt have dinner here again. Drinks were ok.

Wow again and again... Do you want to try a new taste? Try whatever you want here. Honestly, every time I am super impressed with the taste, quality, and design! Well done everybody and keep shining! This time we order Chicken shinty waffle + Vegan bruschetta avocado toast + seasonal sorbetto dessert. All were amazing.

Lovely spot for brunch in North Surrey. Lots of vegetarian options and delicious food. Coffee was exceptional. Vegetarian options: Most of the brunch options are vegetarian. Ambience of the café was okay. Server/s were attentive though it could be better. Food was okay. I had the Udon Carbonara for myself presentation wise, it s good. Taste was basic. But points for the innovative fusion of udon to pasta. Was able to taste the chicken and it was okay. The lamb was quite dry, though. :) the espresso martini was great. Might come back again for casual drinks!

Not a very good brunch. Everything was overly citrusy/sour, from the hollandaise, pork belly and every vegetable on the plate. It looks appealing but flavour is not good. Pave was very salty, and the spicy mayo is not good. Overall, everything was bland and too citrusy.

Excellent food, service and cozy place. Too bad it is minimally accessible by my 82 yr old mother who cant walk too far.

We had an incredible experience! Many of the cocktails were unique or a twist of an old favourite. The wine and beer selection was great too. Known for their Melbourne brunch style, we had an awesome dinner. Again, some great choices but new and twist on the usual. The service while busy was so good, she explained everything well. Tasty and satisfying! This is a gem in Surrey and I hope she opens a 2nd in the area of BC I live in! Love it here!

Dined here with a friend today. Although we were seated to the table right away, it took 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. No one actually came on their own initiative, I had to flag someone down for service. When the drinks arrived, they gave my latte in a glass. Why not just serve in a proper latte cup? Makes absolutely no sense to serve in glass. Next finally the food came except for my friend s order. So we waited and waited and waited. Until finally I had to flag the server (again) to ask her where the order was. Well, they forgot to put the order in. They removed this from our bill for the error made on their part. When we finished our meals we again, had to flag the server down to get the bill. I didn t tip given the terrible service today, and once I finished payment the server just walked away with no bye or thank you etc. unbelievable. I ve raved about this place so many times to friends and family and now I m incredibly disappointed given the experience today. In a tough restaurant industry, this is not how you treat your customers.

Came for brunch with friends. I had the tostada Benedict on recommendation by the server and it was delicious. The gluten free and dairy free menus are hard to navigate because they kind of assume you have one allergy or the other even though they often accompany one another. Only complaint is that it is LOUD! So if you want somewhere to have a quiet conversation, this is not the spot.

We came in for dinner. Music was very loud. They had artificial scent sprayed in the restaurant. So if you are sensitive to smells, highly do no recommend. The lounge seats were not comfortable. Food was mediocre. Lamb chop was salty. Salmon was dry. Burger was alright. Overall, would not recommend based on the scent alone as it was nauseating.

The service at the restaurant was so nice, and the food was really good to share with friends. Highly recommend to have brunch with friends or family!

Wonderful experience at Reux. The service was very attentive and they regularly checked on us to make sure we were taken care of. Food was wonderful. I had the Rigatoni and it tasted as good as it looked. We will definitely be back.

I dont often leave reviews, but Ruex is a beautiful hidden gem in Surrey. This restaurant has amazing food and drinks. There is a diverse menu that has something for everyone. The service here is wonderful, Jappan was so attentive and made sure I had everything I needed.

This is such a nice spot, so many delicious options to choose from. I tried the Veggie burger, the veggie patty is made in house and the chicken salt fries are outstanding. The restaurant is very bright because of the large windows, and the decor is modern and earthy. Service was amazing, my server Japan was very attentive and friendly. Overall, a really good experience and I will definitely come here again!

I ve been coming to Ruex quite often, as my friends and I love the brunch menu. Somehow everytime Joppin has been my server and she is so hospitable and she genuinely cares about our experience from start to finish. I wanted to go out of my way to really thank her for her service!!

Such a great little spot. Awesome aesthetic. Food, beverages and service were all dynamite. Highly recommend. Only issue was deciding what to order because the offerings were all so tempting

First off let s talk about service. Server was nice although it seemed like they had 3 jobs. Host, server and bartender. Table was very sticky, didn t seem like it was cleaned all day. Drinks were extremely small, half sized. For the price completely unacceptable. Didn t really taste any alcohol, leads me to believe they were half shots. Food service was timely but omg the salt content in the sauces were through the roof. Made my mouth feel like I ate a whole bag of movie theatre popcorn. Really ruined the entire meal. This was on both plates we had. Calamari was very boring. Breading was ordinary, fried okra had stem ends, my first bite made me think of premade from frozen calamari. I don t understand how they could get so much wrong but be so pleasant. The price is too high for the quality of food. 10/10 this restaurant is not gonna last long

I was surprised by this cafe, cute and friendly atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but the food was amazing, servers were friendly as well. We got the chicken and waffle which was savoury and delicious. The only issue I had with the meal, was that it got soggy fast in the tomato sauce. The drink options were perfect, especially the Matcha strawberry drink, it was delicious!

I desperately want to love this place with its cute decor but the food is just not worth it. I went when ruex first opened up and loved it but the last 2 times I went (latest being this month), I found the dishes were just ingredients thrown together. The meat was over cooked with sauce thrown on top with a few garnishes. The waffle was cold and tasted like it was pre-made... even store bought? With whipped cream and fruit thrown on top. The mocha tasted like it was made using schmuckers chocolate syrup. The time before, I went for happy hour and all the food tasted cold even though there were not that many people dining in that time. I do not recommend. There are better restaurants in the neighborhood.

We loved our drinks. The presentation of food and drink was great. Portions are a decent size. Interesting fusion ingredients. Beautiful interior with nice washrooms. One of our eggs Benedict was overcooked. They fixed it right away and we were happy

The Mocha and Latte were way better than I expected from a place thats not coffee focused! I didnt like the Bruschetta Avocado toast that much, but the Mushroom Frittata was tasty.

Service was incredibly slow from taking our orders, to serving drinks and food. We had to wait a while for our bill as well. Waffles tasted stale, went home with a stomachache. Not sure if it was from the waffles or the Brusetta Avocado egg toast. Food

Atmosphere vibes was good. Food presentation was nice, but the quality & taste of food was not great. Waffles were dry and not good. Avocado toast had brown spots all over it and served like that. Service super slow. This place is hyped up, but not worth it. Effort is put on food presentation but quality of meals sucked and 3 of us in our group immediately felt sick after . Would not go again.

We had Ruex cater at an event and they did a fabulous job from communication to setting it up and taking it down. The food is tasty and highly recommended. They were even kind enough to provide boxes and bags. 100% recommended!

From the interior aesthetic, down to the music playlist, this place has the perfect ambience. I love that they offer a variety of coffees and brunch options but can also be a great dinner & drinks spot in the evenings. Food is a little pricey even for happy hour, but we liked the drink options. Our server was the restaurant owner and we found her really outgoing and professional!

It it hard to find a good brunch spot in Surrey but this place is very good! The restaurant is so pretty and I was in love with the pastel color and the little forest vibe brought by the interior! The food was also pretty decent and I would definitely recommend to anyone who comes to this area!

After checking out my new apartment condo @ King George Hub-Hub Two, my mom and my family friend wandered to Ruex for a delicious dinner experience!! Kid-friendliness: There was a huge family with lots of children dining in Ruex Restaurant during the time that we were there! Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is located on the first floor at the street level. People could enter the restaurant with a wheelchair!!

Ruex is my favourite restaurant in Surrey. Im always glad to come here, spontaneously too - because the food and service always wins! The vibe is great too - modern, contemporary interiors that have set a benchmark for Surrey. We always love the Udon Carbonara, Paneer Fries, Corn Fritters, Champagne Mojito and we make it a point to try everything on their seasonal menus over many meals. lol. The staff is attentive and hardworking. Jasmine the owner is a force to reckon with - shes always on top of her game as an entrepreneur and host. Their desserts are to die for! The vibe changes every season which is refreshing. Whenever we want good food, and dont know where to go - we show up an Ruex and leave with food coma. Vegetarian options: They make alterations when possible. Parking: Parking is available free for an hour under King George Hub.

WOW! What a gem! The menu is incredible and the 3 of us shared their curated brunch board. Today it includes Bruscetta Avocado Toast, Truffled Mushroom Fritatta, Chicken Schnitty Waffles, and Peaches and Cream Baby Pancakes. Each item has 4 servings and we took one of each home. They have an entirely separate vegan menu available from the regular menus, and every dish is creative, beautiful and (based on what weve tried so far) DELICIOUS!

Had the Hannah banana dessert and it was delicious. Small portions but delicious and the decaf lattes are pretty good too! Service was fantastic and very friendly! Great atmosphere

Order the falafel waffle. Tasty and a good portion size. Servers were friendly and nice. It was busy inside, so had to sit at the outside tables. Best to make reservations beforehand. Total price for falafel waffle and iced shaken espresso with tax was $27.30. Parking: Underground parking is free for one hour and then pay $3.25 plus tax.

The food was phenomenal, and we truly enjoyed ourselves tonight. Japan was so lovely and attentive and the chef Greg was so very nice and the food was so good! Will definitely go back.

Food looks good but is very average; not worth the price. Frustrating that you cant make any changes or modifications to the food, like taking out sausage to make the omelet veggie. Servers were very nice, but I got incredibly put off when the waitress auto tipped herself 25% on my one person receipt. I had to get her to redo the transaction. While the sofa seats are incredibly comfy, they are a little low for their table.

Delicious food. Just be careful with add-ons. The fries have options for adding different oils and flavors, but when the server mentions them it sounds included. Then was charged 3-4 dollars for each oil etc. ended up being $15 extra dollars because my girls thought it was included.

We went to Ruex s for brunch recently and it was outstanding! We eat out often (too often) and this was a refreshing new take on taste and presentation. The red pepper hollandaise sauce in particular was a hit, not overpowering, just delicious. The iced matcha strawberry drink was also a wonderful mix of both flavours. Each dish was a new set of flavours we had never had before. The owner, Jasmine, was so kind to take time to talk to us despite how busy it was. It was fascinating to hear how she made her vision happen with an Australian chef for the menu. Our servers, Shaz and Nikita, were just as kind and outgoing and helpful! We can t wait to go back and have been dreaming about the flavours!

Beautiful place to dine. MCM style interior. This is a great place to go to if you re taking your lady for a beautiful brunch date. The plating is fine, and the drinks sounds great. I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict (the pave potato is salty & delicious, you get 4 pork belly pieces with your benedict, the hollandaise sauce kind of tasted sour and chipotle like.. it was interesting)

We went in last week and our server was nice. She did bring the wrong food to the table and we had to correct it. We were so busy talking that we ate and left without realizing that we didn t get potatoes with the Benny. We called the restaurant back and was told to email the manager. The manager had a passive aggressive response: We re really sorry that we missed the potato on your eggs benny. Mistakes happen and we are human. Next time, please let us know while you are dining and we will fix our error right away. Should you decide to dine with us again, we are happy to gift you a free potato for your troubles It definitely feels condescending.

Ambience is great, love the modern contemporary aesthetic with tropical vibes. Sadly the service is not that great, we went there a couple of times and had similar experiences. Food is also average other than a couple of items nothing outshines as such. Overall great place to chill but there is room for improvement in the areas of food and service.

The burgers very subpar and quite expensive for the price you pay, even with the happy hour discount. The atmosphere and service were fine.

Visit to this place from out of town was very disappointed went in for good food turn around was waste of time and money order there shakshuka with paneer and toast was suprise to receive six pcs of paneer on cold tomatoes paste sauce did not even stand to the what menu showed and to my surprise the bread toast was dry and for price of 3 dollars more got one piece of dry bread wonder if had malai panner and naan would have been cheap why do we make good dish into some shaddy dish and spoil the taste if you a running breakfast place keep it a good breakfast place and dont spoil the dishes tastes and looks to make desi dish look like some dish from other world will not recommend this place my wife had been there before on her last visit but she also said the food was no good will not recommend them and this is from food loving person from out of town

Good vibes & customer service

There s not many good brunches in Surrey imo so I think Reux offers a unique experience! It serves good brunch food and I ordered the chicken & waffles. It was super filling but more on the saltier side. This was my first time trying this place and I really liked it! The interior of the restaurant is also very pretty and the dishes are very aesthetic as well.

The service and food are both top-notch. This is my fifth time there. Its the best brunch place in Surrey.

Their chicken salt fries are awesome! Maybe their brunch fare is better, but we came for dinner and werent impressed. Food is not bad, but portions are definitely smallish for the price. Nice drinks though. Only half the tables were seated, but we had to wait ~1hr for food, and another 20min for dessert. I had also asked for a quiet table on the reservation, but got seated in the bar area where they were blending slush drinks, so it was horribly noisy until we asked to switch tables. Overall, didnt have a pleasant experience and feel like they are not worth the price.

Decor and atmosphere was trendy and hip for Surrey. Came here for brunch on Father s Day. We all ordered dishes from the sweet corner. Foods was delicious. The portion was small for the price. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Wish they had regular coffees. The experience was in a nutshell, pleasant.

We have lived in Surrey for 17 years. Today I had the best breakfast Ive ever had in a Surrey restaurant. Our server was delightful, on point and efficient. The menu is upscale, thoughtful and interesting. Everything was perfect. This is our new spot without question. Super looking forward to trying thier dinner menu. Food

We ordered the pork belly Benedict, the chicken and waffles and the biscoff dessert and they were all incredible! My favourite place in Surrey for dinner and drinks!! Im gluten - free and never have an issue eating here with my restrictions - the staff are also really knowledgeable about the food! I went a few days ago to try their new summer menu and loved the Matcha - tini!! My go - to dinner is the Steak Rosti!

Nice place to be, service definitely needs work, my server spilled some of my coffee on my table when placing it down, no worries, except it took a long while for extra napkins to clean it up. The prices are pretty high for what you get. The menu is plain as well, instant oatmeal.

I have been here for brunch and loved it! However came in a Saturday night for dinner for the first time and it was nearly empty (red flag) ordered steak dinner and the salmon, appearance was beautiful but flavour wasnt there, steak was overcooked (they offered very kindly to make another but I declined.) I felt bad because the service was amazing and lovely location but the food was so lack lustre I struggled to finish it. I had to revoke my suggestion of this place to my colleagues as I was very disappointed...paid a pretty penny and just missed the mark. Corn fritters were tasty but entrees not so much.

Reux offers a delightful mix of contemporary and classic cuisine in a cozy, modern setting. The dishes are beautifully presented and full of well-balanced flavors. Ruex is my favourite Surrey restaurant. Hands down. From big celebrations to intimate conversations, it s the space that holds all of my experiences. I often gather with friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances. Surrey is incredibly lucky to have a world class restaurant right in our neighborhood. The food is incredible, the staff is outstanding, and the vibes are immaculate!

The price isn t adequate to portion size. However, food was really good, and the servers were lovely.

Came back to Ruex a few days ago and learnt they had just done a nearly complete overhaul of their menu with some fascinating additions. Happy hour was great with wines at $6 a pour. The food was as delicious as it was aesthetic. Service was great too. The server was very friendly with an authentic and yet respectful demeanour. I ll have to circle back after I learn his name. For the bites, this time we had the - fried chicken and shrimp wontons. - cauliflower bites - chicken wings, which had a drizzle of fish sauce (a delightful twist)

Not worth it. The place looks nice, you can see that they put a lot of effort into the looks. However, they failed to put that same amount of effort into the food. It tastes cheap, like dollar store canned food put in a plate with a fake nice touch. Theyre serving sugar syrup and calling it maple syrup. Wont be going there again.

First time experienced this type of Worst customer service and food. Ordered drinks which felt much like drinking cough syrup. Cafe being not busy at all, served the food after too much delay. Ordered two appetizers at 9:15 and got it at 10pm. Atlast they rip off your hard earned money.

The food I ordered was delicious and you could tell it was freshly made (I got the avocado bruschetta toast). Service was quick and friendly!

I heard about this place from a podcast advertisement. As I was in town, I decided to venture to Surrey just to try it. I had the pork belly eggs Benny. Very good. The potato that came with it was crispy each bite. Probably loved it the most. My friend had the avacado toast. She loved it and wished it was 2 or ordered another. Her latte came out cold so she had to send it back but it was no issue. I had an espresso martini. It was different (like it when its their own twist) and sweet. Always like to try espresso martinis at different restaurants. Staff was very nice. Looked like great other things to try judging from the menu. Nothing bad to say. Worth trying for sure. I also was pleased with the free 1 hour underground parking.

The udon carbonara and the fatty pork belly Benny were great!

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and layout of this trendy restaurant. One can have a bite in the lounge area or restaurant. Will definitely go back and will certainly use this venue for a party in the future. Vegetarian options: I had the cauliflower bites and paneer fries, it was delicious.

I loved brunch at Ruex! I had the Udon Carbonara and it was like nothing else - so delicious. Also loved the Rose Latte. Looking forward to coming back to have dinner and drinks. The decor was perfect for pictures!

Exceptional quality food in a beautiful space. Really great friendly staff in a cafe that wouldn t look out of place with some of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Highly recommend

Attentive staff, great food and drinks!

Edit: ended up coming back for a friends birthday dinner about a year after first visit. Service had improved vastly, and our cocktails were delicious. Food was still excellent. Miso maple salmon was wonderful. Espresso martini was extremely bitter. Kudos to the kitchen, but wont be returning due to overall poor restaurant experience. Service was sub par.

Had a great experience here, although as others have mentioned the food could be better for the price. Great cocktails, great brunch options and if your really hungry try the Aussie Burger it was delicious!

Justine was super attentive, friendly and offered great recommendations! The chicken and cheesy waffles was excellent, almost like a chicken parm with a sweeter twist. The portion size was generous and my husband had to help finish it off. The Tall & Beautiful cocktail was lovely, although almost too sweet. But the london fog creme brulee was absolutely divine and so creamy and smooth. Do not miss out!!

Surrey needs more places like this. No TVs. Nice cocktails, good food. Bartender was extremely friendly.

The plants and flowers were awesome, and I dont generally notice that stuff. Service was great even on a very busy Sunday morning brunch service. I had the savory chicken and waffles which were fantastic. Split the Biscoff waffle for desert and I wanted to order another to take home for later. Need to head here again for dinner menu and drinks, I bet theyre fantastic as well!

My husband and I ordered take-out this evening. We decided to share an order of the calamari and then had two crispy ranch chicken sandwiches. Weve eaten here before and enjoyed the food so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience this time was radically different. Although we ordered to-go, we live nearby and started eating the food almost immediately after pick-up. The calamari was mediocre. We found that there was not a lot of squid, but there was a ton of deep-fried okra and baby green onions. This would have been fine, but it lacked flavour and was quite bland. Next, we tried the crispy ranch chicken sandwiches. They looked really good, but as soon as I picked mine up, I noted that the bun was pretty hard. I took a bite, and the bun immediately started crumbling in my mouth. It was extremely dry, almost inedible, and my husbands burger was the same. We both had to take the top bun off completely and the bottom bun ended up falling apart as I continued to eat. And annoyingly enough, the chicken salt fries were also really hard and overdone. This was such a different experience from when we dined in, so were both pretty disappointed. We definitely wont be ordering for take-out again anytime soon.

One time place. Decoration was nice, food and service not worth the price. Dishes were salty and greasy, servers chat loudly and took long time to get back to you whenever you ask for something. Good for a date or special event maybe. BTW tip starts 18% Food

My co workers had our Christmas dinner here. The place is intimate yet modern. Love the food but we love their booze the most.

Food was decent. I found the options limited. Lots of fancy names for basic ingredients. See my comment about dietary restrictions. We were a large party, hence tip was included. Not sure if this influenced the server, but she came over 3 times: 1. to take drink orders 2. to take meal orders 3. to tell us it was last call we had to get up and call over another server for sugar, and to order a second round of drinks. Atmosphere was nice. Dietary restrictions: They do not allow ANY changes or substitutions. IE. You cant ask for :no onions or hollandaise on the side. Doesnt really appeal to people with dietary restrictions

Finally what Surrey needed! an upscale restaurant with affordable pricing that has amazing food! The vibes in here are also immaculate. Jasmine and her team are dialled in to create a 10/10 great experience, and know exactly how to do that. I recently went for their Valentine s Day event with my fiancé and the place was decorated soooocute, as well as a bridal brunch which again the team did a great job with!!

Enjoyed a delicious birthday brunch with a couple of friends. It was our first time here and everything was perfect. Plenty of options it was hard to choose! The staff was super friendly and thoughtful too. Will definitely be back.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn t crazy busy but the service was awful. Waited 25 min just to ask for our bill and the waitress seemed upset that I had asked. As we were paying the tip % starts at 18%. Insane. Food and coffee was good but I would not return.

The food was fabulous. The presentation was great. The wait staff was busy, and it took a while to get our initial coffee and drinks. The place is small and adoreable, but the noise level was high. I dont know if its the acoustics, but we had trouble hearing each other across the table. I suggest that you make reservations as the wait time was lengthy. Parking: 1st hour is free, underground parking

Really beautiful ambience, perfect for Instagram. The good was really delicious and the cocktails were really exceptional. Brunch is my fave.

Loved the atmosphere it was super cute. The food and menu were unique and not your average brunch. It was also beautifully plated, delicious, and reasonably priced. Definitely going back!

Be prepared to be let down when you order from this restaurant. I am so disappointed with my recent Uber Eats order of the Ferror Rocher Fried Brioche. It is just SOAKED in oil! When you take a bite of it, there is oil dripping. How can you serve this and at a $21 price? I also ordered the veggie burger and there is no flavour - just bland chickpeas. For the prices, I expect better quality. This is just unacceptable. In the photos, I tried my best to show how 1. the bottom of the box is just a layer of oil and 2. inside of the dessert its just soaked in oil. You can see the colour difference where some spots are white and the majority of the inside is a bit darker - this is all oil. Ive ordered from them before and the prices in general do not justify how basic their menu is and how theyll make their food sound more interesting than it actually is. Edit: no one from the restaurant has reached out after posting my review which tells me they dont care about their customers or quality concerns/feedback. I wont be ordering from them again.

Our sever was amazing, and host was so quick to seat us even though we ran late for our reservation. We had the Ferraro Rocher brioche, which was 100% worth the hype. The tofu noodle salad was covered in the pickling vinegar they used for the veggies, it wasn t quite what I was expecting for a salad over $20

Close to a fine dining experience, but costly per head. For 4 of us it came dwn to about 55 Cad per head! Food was pretty decent with good portion sizes.

Cute spot by King George station, no free parking but this is a cozy place. Alcohol free drinks were tasty and the food was tasty, decent portion. Prices were a little on the higher end but it was still good. They have some really cute decor setup right now for Valentines Day and a Dine out menu. I recommend checking it out!

I come here often as Surrey does not have many places like this and Im so glad I came to try their limited ube oreo hot stacks. Coconut whipped cream, oreo and ube is a deadly combination. I loved it! Also enjoyed their chicken and waffles. The sauce completes it. Im so glad they are experimenting and adding new items to the menu. Will definitely be back for more :)

Chanced upon this place and was surprised with great ambience, drinks and food. We had a great time here. Tanner had some great recommendations for cocktails off menu - even having mezcal in the selection. Steak and potatoes rosti were fantastic.

Falafel waffle and pork belly Benedict were both incredible! The French toast was very sweet.

Very expensive the chicken salt fries are just French fries nothing to write home about. My husband was very interested in trying this place. We won t be going back.

The actual dish was great, the only food related complaint I have is that they served a matcha latte in a bar glass that is much too small for the drink and super awkward to hold a hot beverage from. I requested a mug and a tad more vanilla and oat milk and it was palatable. Vegetarian options: More options then when they opened but still very limited

Stopped by for coffee on a weekend and opted in for the bar seats as they were busy for brunch. We got a cappuccino and the rose latte and both were good. The rose latte was a bit too sweet for my taste tho. The place is cute. We might try the brunch next time!
