Just had an amazing birthday dinner at the South Surrey location. Awesome food and service!

Celebrated my husband s birthday tonight and had excellent food accompanied by exceptional service. We will definitely be back!

Wow night and day difference between this location and the Willowbrook one. We were greeted, given the special the server was so friendly and nice. The food was amazing, hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. I moved my party of 18 to this location. Great staff, food and atmosphere. Oh and trust me get the hummus even if youre a meat eater trust me its great.

Food was delicious to busy for me had to wait 30 mins to get a table

My wife and I shared the Margherita pizza and the gac and chips. Both fantastic.

Brittney is a great server, she helped us ordering some great wines and excellent choice of food.

Ordered delivery, was missing the fried chicken from the fried chicken and Mac and cheese, and a drink that was ordered. Tried to phone them to inform and was passed to the manager who never picked up the phone.

Had a reservation last night to celebrate a birthday however waitress completely missed our request for a birthday cupcake where as the other table got one. Had to remind her about our birthday cupcake request. Completely disappointed

We just want to share that we came to the restaurant today and were advised that they were out of chardonnay, we had decided to just leave because they decided not to open a bottle of chardonnay for us. We were super disappointed ready to tell our family and friends but then our server changed to Morgan, her friendly demeanor and bubbly personality changed our minds. We would suggest move this girl to management because the manager we spoke to prior lacked empathy and business skills that Morgan clearly demonstrated

This past summer we had great service and food and were excited to go again. We went on Saturday the 28th and were seated quickly to our reserved table. We waited more than 20 minutes without seeing a waiter/waitress, so I approached a manager at the host station, who gladly took our drink and food order and brought us waters. We waited another 20 minutes without seeing a waiter or waitress and still did not receive drinks or food. We decided to leave as it had been 45 minutes with tables surrounding us being seated and served drinks and food. We called a manger to the host station and explained that we are leaving, he was apologetic, but made the excuse that someone was sent home/there must have been a mix up. We were offered gift cards and an apology, but refused and left. As we were leaving I saw the first manager finally waking over with our drinks. Not impressed, wont go here again, dont want anything, just leaving my 2 cents

We went for a friends birthday dinner! It was a lovely time and the service was great. As a loud and big group, I felt like this environment was the appropriate setting. It had a cool vibe!

First time at this location, food was really good . Nice atmosphere. I would have rated it higher if the service was not as slow. It was a weekend, but they shouldnt seat so many people if you do not have the staff to accommodate.

Tap and barrel was awesome. It was my first time there and I have zero complaints. Atmosphere, servers. Service, food and quality and defintly quantity was bang on. They were very helpful to one person in my group who had spicy chicken and they replaced it and the food was just delicious. Highly recommend and will be back.

Had pbj burger was very good had to come back for a second time before we left our holiday. Portions are a little small but very tasty food.

Went in with my girlfriends for a nice evening out but it was horrible from the start. Server was not friendly at all from the beginning took some time to come back. I ordered the rose sangria and it was too sweet and looked creamy took 2 sips and told the server. i ordered wine instead. the bill came and the $10 sangria was on it. I politely asked the server if she can take it off if not i can pay for it. She went to her till and started crying and the 3 servers that came to her they started pointing at out table. Another server came took our payment and i said did i make her cry and the thing was she was feeling overwhelmed apparently. But then she was crying at another table as we were leaving. No manager came and i explained the situation to the front desk. It seems like the whole place knew about this. we will never go back and ended up at cactus where we normally go. Vibe kill place.

I was in the restaurant today for lunch. The Caesar salad was delicious I would highly recommend I ordered fish and chips the fish was raw and the batter still wet inside. I was brought another piece of fish which was cooked to the point it was inedible. The batter was so burned I could not cut it. The serving staff were great but the message I feel I got from the kitchen is unacceptable. If you don t have a good cook your serving staff are being set up for negativity. I have no negative things to say about the serving staff at all.

Went for happy hour the crisply chicken was great and the wings were really good not too salty

We had dinner as a large group for my nephew s 16th birthday and it was great! They even had a birthday card for my nephew, which was a lovely touch. Service was friendly, accurate and fast. Food tasted fresh and delicious. Would recommend.

This was the second time I ve been to the SS location. I waited a bit to be seated and serviced. Once we received our food my friend was not impressed at all he ordered chicken and mac and cheese. The chicken was literally 2 ounces and the Mac was huge not what was written in the menu. They did give him a new meal but honestly the food service etc I m just not feeling it. I m probably not going to go back. It s unfortunate because in SS we don t have a huge selection but for a chain restaurants we do.

Very slow by white rock restaurant standards so really no excuse for seating us and then ghosting us sat for 8-10min without even acknowledgement not even drinks so cant comment on food we left very poor service...

We have visited this location a number of times. Staff have been prompt and efficient. Food has been great. PB&J burger was cooked perfect and tasted great. Had truffle onion ring burger, mac and cheese, pumkin soup and chicken burger all were great. Plus a nice selection of local beer.

I really liked the sandwich but didn t like dessert. The service was glacier drift slow. There were some bugs in water and plates served. A thorough approach can be taken towards cleanliness and customer service.

Went here for happy hour and it was great! We ordered a couple of drinks, honey Valentina lettuce wraps with deep fried chicken, truffle waffle fries, chicken wings, and deep fried pickles. Everything was good including the patio service.

I have been meaning to come here for a while and I honestly should have just stayed home. Decided to come here with the misses as I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner; well the dinner was everything but nice. I decided to order the fish and chips and when they came around they looked really good. Its when i took my first bite where the disappointment started. I was met with a soggy and mushy piece of fish that lacked any sort of flavour. It was genuinely tasteless and I wish I had ordered something else. My girlfriend ordered the nachos with no black olives and no sour cream. The nachos came not only with sour cream, but with extra sour cream. An honest mistake Im sure, but mistakes are what make a good restaurant a bad one. We are not the type of people to return the food back to the kitchen so we reluctantly ate our dishes and quickly left. While my experience here was bad, I do want to come back here in the future and see if the staff can redeem themselves.

We still continue to go back here, but not as frequently as when it first opened. I love the PB&j burger. Its such a change from a traditional bacon cheeseburger. My all-time favorite dish of theirs is the hummus flatbread dip. It cant be beat! They have an amazing selection of draft beers. My wifes only wish is that they carried more California wine. Its very heavy, if not all BC. Ev charging right out front too

Its nicely designed inside. No views r anything like that. The food was marginal at best. The 2$ hidden fee for a very small cup of Parmesan was not appreciated. The squid was okay. The pizza itself was dry and boring. Staff were plenty and friendly. The bussing was subpar. Sat beside a dirty table for at least 30 minutes. It was never touched. Place wasnt busy.

Did birthday dinner celebration with family. Waitress was amazing- friendly, accomodating and attentive. I really enjoyed the basil linguine with chicken. Very tasty! Nice that it wasnt overly noisy. Sometimes can be difficult to have conversations around the table and it wasnt a problem. Great selection of beers and waitress was very knowledgeable and able to guide me to something I enjoyed. Very positive experience.

I was at the Tap & Barrel South Surrey today and had a fantastic experience. Great food abd cocktail choices and I would highly recommend the Cajun chicken burger and the Gyoza was very flavourful & perfectly cooked. The Manager provided a top-notch service and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely be going back.

The food was okay but we weren t really satisfied with the service, we waited for half an hour to someone come and we could ask for a napkin and glass of water and we waited for another half an hour to receive it Also, I asked for a very small extra sauce they charged me for it without letting me know before I ordered it.

Sevond visit and it has not changed much. Good and service is average. Prices are a little higher than average. Food : 3/5

Today, I went to eat here, and got treated really bad. We wanted to sit inside but they forced us to sit outside even though it was pretty cold out. There were clearly spots inside, but they said there was probably a reservation on the tables. We were fine with that but after some time no one came to sit on those tables, so they let us sit on the table inside but said we could only sit here for an hour. We were fine with that and sped up. However, when an hour came, they said that we did not have to leave and made us feel like bad people who were hogging the spots. The people who supposedly made a reservation never came. As one of the only Asians that was in this restaurant, the servers, this girl, treated us the worst, and I don t want to, but I see this as them being racist towards us. In the end, the food was not even that good and I feel as if my friends and I wasted our time here.

Stopped by during one of the playoff games and the atmosphere was absolutely electric!! I have been a couple times before and my experience is always great! The hummus and gyoza are two of my favourites!

Very bad experience with the manager -Lauro, who wouldn t serve me an alcoholic beverage with government ID. Overall, there was a lack of Serve it Right Knowledge & competence. However, our server, Alex, was helpful.

I recently visited Tap & Barrel and had a fantastic experience! The food was incredible I highly recommend the Cajun Chicken Burger and the Gyozas, which was flavourful and perfectly cooked. The service was top-notch as well; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Whether youre looking for a great meal, watch the game or just a relaxed evening out, Tap & Barrel is the place to be. Ill definitely be coming back! Parking: There are charging stations galore! Kid-friendliness: They have split into a pub/sports bar section and a family friendly restaurant section. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator in the lobby that takes you right to the reception.

Service was seriously lacking. The watermelon margarita was gross, so I asked for a shot of orange juice to try to make it better. That never came so we had to flag down a different server 20 mins later for it. Our friends bday was never acknowledged despite making resos for 10 people and telling our server. Very overpriced for the quality. Steak was awful. I didnt bother making a stink about it. This was the second time we have been disappointed with this place. Upon reflecting, the server didnt tell us if there was auto gratuity and now we are thinking we shouldnt have tipped if that was the case... To make it worse, on our way out we saw 2 staff walking up the stairs, so I asked them to take a quick photo of us before leaving. They said they were off the clock and pointed to another girl. This could have been handled very differently - perhaps with a smile and/or a more pleasant tone. No plans to return. Fried pickles were good though.

Always a great experience

So pleasantly surprised. We had a group of 7 women with a toddler and senior with us. The server, Jag, went above and beyond to cater to our needs, allowed us move to tables when we noticed our grandma was getting uncomfortable. Food was exceptional, fresh, and savoury. Highly recommend this spot. Kid-friendliness: Staff is incredibly friendly with kids. Someone needs to give Jag a raise!

Order lunch for my whole office. The worst food I have ever encountered. Wings were over cooked and no flavor to the spicy Korean wing.couldnt even eat them they were so dry.forge chicken was over cooked like leather. The sauce was sour. Too many capers Too many mushrooms. Was like chewing on snails.pizza dough was very rubbery.veyr little toppings.carrot cake way over priced.wasnt even a full slice.club sandwich was dry.fish and chips were soggy.lettuce wrap was so so.cant screw up lettuce. This place has so much potential with their location and ambience. However, every time I ve been here (3 separate occasions since they ve opened) I ve been continuously disappointed. Food was mild but the service was weird. Recently when we went my partner has asked for their pepperoni pizza and was told that it s not available during normal hours- only happy hour. Just for another server to say absolutely we can get that for you . Staff seem confused and tbh every experience has been frustrating. Stick to the tap and barrel in Vancouver locations.

Big Restraunt at least 3 level. Lots of seating by the bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. We went on mothers day. Crowded all 3 level , but we had reservations so they had indoor seating for us indoor and out door. Sunny and hot so we picked indoor seating. Nice choice of drinks and food they even had a gluten free menu. The waitress was quite willing to split the bill. She also split the rice bowl salad in two separate dishes. The prawns were delicious,. The waitress made the whole experience superb.

Great attentive service, delicious food. We loved it our server Brinn was helpful and attentive! This is our second visit, we noticed our food always comes to the table together and piping hot! Also wanted to note we booked through OpenTable. Tap and Barrell staff followed our request for quieter area for our sensory sensitive child! Really appreciate that! I had a really good time here a few weeks ago! Our server was Charles and he did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed at all times. The general manager also came by to ask us how our night was going which was a nice touch! Would recommend coming here for a fun night out.

It wasnt busy and yet service was extremely slow. Food was okay but small portions. Kinda feels like they are reducing quality and service in order to save a few bucks.

Service is shockingly slow/horrible for a empty restaurant. Almost like the server is also the cook. Or just doesn t care.

It initially looked like quite a nice restaurant.... The service was good, but the food quality wasnt great, the portion size was small and the price was on the expensive side! There were kids misbehaving at 8.30pm. They muted the ambiance music and blasted the hockey game, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Dont think well be going back...

Don t get me wrong, they have decent food and drinks but I do not trust this location. I was double charged by the server - I told her I saw it go through and she assured me it didn t and told me to do it again. Fast forward 6 months later they did the same thing to my husband - he said I saw the confirmation and server said it didn t work. In both cases we had to call and get the manager to reverse the charges once they showed up on our cards. I can understand this happening once with a new hire but twice? Seems very suspect - like they wanted to get double tipped, especially since these servers have the ability to speak to a manager to check the system and verify before charging again. I m not sure we will be back.

It is a nice place if you have kids like a red robin, very different from the other tap & barrels

Horrible experience. Super bad management. They didn t take my friends order who waited 1 hour for his food and ended up getting McDonald s. They messed up our bill and overcharged us. Management was super unsympathetic to top it off. Bad job overall!

Have been to tap and barrel Im Granville island and Olympic village so knew the food was great. Came here for a birthday celebration and service and food was excellent. Only downside is my first two choices of beer were both out of stock but had the red truck sour and it was bomb!

I had been waiting for this place to open for so long since it is really close to my house. When it first opened I saw the reviews on Google and I stayed away. A few people who I talk to said dont bother going. And I talked to another friend and he said definitely go. Id give it four and a half Stars overall. Great choice of happy hour beer, much better than a lot of other places that give you very bland big factory beer as happy hour choices Eg Sammy Js and Browns. I think they could have done a little more with the decor seeing as they had a blank slate. Food portions are a bit on the small side I just finished a blackened chicken bowl however the service is great. It is very much a team effort something I appreciate a lot

This place is big! The food & drink is consistent, fairly good! The service is kinda slow no matter what time you go so plan to hang out. Menus has some fun items. Happy hour menu is ok too!

Went there on the 13th with my family, started out good service was good but left without water a few times and drinks at one point didn t see the server for awhile. When the food came three of us got our food and we waited on the other two. Pizza was great but when the nachos came it was loaded with pickled jalapeños that were extremely hot. I have been here and had nachos before but never have I seen more than 30 jalapeños on a think of nachos. I mentioned to the server there were so many jalapeños on here we couldn t even finish the food she mentioned to me oh you know it s a different cook Everytime next time you should ask for them on the side.. I ve been multiple times and never had seen that and also when a guest is complaining why are you not helping with the fact we couldn t finish the food because it was so spicy .. probably wouldn t go back to this location always go to the Granville island one and it s great.

I didnt have a good first experience, I wasnt able to hear the hostess when the place was empty. I was trying to get a table, but apparently I had to wait two hours for it.

I have been to this location a few times now, and have always had such a welcoming and delicious experience. Jared, may have spelled that wrong, always makes our dining that much more enjoyable whether he is behind the Bar or Managing. We are looking forward to the new wine selection and menu items coming in March! Cheers!

This was rather disappointing. Access is limited and parking is a challenge. Ambient noise in the place especially the background music makes conversation difficult. Menu is limited and nothing on it is unique. It is apparent that cost cutting is foremost as the green salad does not come with a tomato or anything apart from lettuce. Great service, and very freindly server.

My husband and I went for pizza and a beer Friday night and the service was bar none the best service we have received in a very long time! From the moment you walk in, right through getting seated! Reece was our server and she was more attentive than possibly any server we have ever had! I can t recommend this location enough

Went here for a birthday, the server was extremely friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were both good and came out fast. The prices are decent for todays standards. The tables are pretty spaced out which makes it less loud and crowded like the tap and barrel locations in Vancouver.

Pleasantly surprised as I thought it was going to be the same-old, same-old. However, I loved the layout and design of the restaurant which gave it a nice atmosphere. Food was also delicious! I have a quinoa avocado bowl and sangria.

I ordered the fried chicken mac & cheese on Uber eats but I found hair in my chicken. Very unsanitary. As well as, I specifically asked for no bacon in my mac & cheese, yet there was a lot of bacon. I have ordered many times from here and never had this experience until today. Very inconsiderate of the person who took my order. Please fix this issue.

Have been here multiple times Bianca always gives great service and the food has always been very good. I would definitely recommend.

I made a reservation for a regular table they sat us at a high table. I asked to switch. They never switched us. We had Calamari as an appetizer which was good but way too small for the price. We ate it with our hands because they sat us at the only table that had no cutlery. No lie every single table had cutlery and was empty except the one in the WORST spot and thats where they sat us. Which as a side note was right beside the waitress station next to the bar where we enjoyed lots of storytelling and swearing and loud laughing between the bartenders and the waitresses. Did I mention the menus were greasy and dirty? When out Mains came we still had not cutlery but when I asked we received some. Still no move to a booth even though two were empty just needed to be cleaned. I guess that would happen once the stories were exhausted behind us.

Waitress ripped me off! In my opinion the prices are on the high side and the portions on the low side but then again it s a sign of the times. My club house only had two slices of bread instead of the normal three and I was still hungry after paying for my meal. Food tasted just alright. My elderly mother had to be reseated in the vacant area of the restaurant because most of the seating is too high. The worst part is we caught the blond waitress around 40yr to 50yr increasing the tip percentage! It wasn t the amount that bothered me, it was just the point that she would actually do such a thing. When it came time to pay she made it seem like the POS machine had a problem and took it back after I entered my PIN and fixed the problem and then said they don t provide printed receipts and abruptly left the table. Found that odd so we went back for the printed receipt and sure enough she changed the tip! Should have spoken to a manager but didn t feel it was worth the time. Like why would you potentially risk your job for a few bucks? Unbelievable!! Hopefully management reads this and is able to identify the person. She seemed frustrated with having to serve our table because we were in the far end of the restaurant by ourselves.

Yesterday me and my friends came to Tap for dinner and to watch Super Bowl. We had a great experience at the dining room Thanks to our server she was great( sorry dont remember her name). After little bit we decided to move to the bar to join group of friends who was there. It was probably the worst bar experience ever! At the bar we had first round of drinks and then we ordered another one. One of the girl bartenders stoped us and said that we have to wait 15 min with a comment: its not a Bar its a Restaurant! Well okay i explained to her that we just had full dinner here. Well it didnt change her mind. We were not intoxicated not even tipsy. BC rule requires the beverage contain no more than 3 liquid ounces of liquor per person. The first must be consumed before a second may be served and the server must be aware of and watch for signs of intoxication before serving a second (or third). Well we wasnt drinking much, and after every time when we wanted to order a drink she kept telling us we have to wait... like really? Can I have a drink without bartender making this comments every 5min? Management please train your staff, this makes your guest feel very uncomfortable and you just cant enjoy your time there. Second thing that really made me laugh its when I asked if we can get: Chicken strips but can kitchen chop it please? When she replied: noo we cant do that but I can bring you a knife! What a service.... is it that hard to chop a tender? As a Sous Chef I can tell you that it is so easy! It was my first and last time @ Tap&Barrel.

Stick to the pub grub. Dropped $50 for the Valentines 10oz Ribeye Surf & Turf and it was not appetizing...just look at that plating. The steaks were not cooked hot enough and the shrimp and scallops were cold, you can tell cause the butter didnt melt. Hardly any grill marks to get that tasty Maillard reaction and there was silver skin and tendon all over. Scallops were over cooked despite somehow having no browning? To round it off the Broccolini wasnt seasoned at all. Honestly can get a better steak at Dennys. The mashed potatoes, Calamari appetizer, and pint of Guinness were the only things enjoyed.

Food came out cold and our server seemed like she was lost. She didn t come back to check on the table until the food was done, and the drinks were empty. And they cut you off after 5 drinks in 5 1/2 hrs

We came to the Tapand Barrel lastnight. Reservation was for 630pm. Was there for a friends 40th birthday. I was one of the designated drivers. Dinner was awful. Ordered steak, entire meal was cold. Server offered to take it off the bill. I continued to eat it, as I was starving. Service was extremely slow, slowest place in a long time. Our servers name was Otilia. At around 1030. The Manager came over to our table and cut us all off Out of the 14 of us, 5 werent drinking. He claimed the server didn t feel comfortable serving us anymore. WHAT!!! In all my years in hospitality I was shocked. If we were drunk and out of line I can understand. But we weren t. A couple of the people sitting at the table had only had a couple of drinks in that 4.5 period. All had ordered appys/dinner/dessert. And were enjoying a couple of cocktails for our friends birthday. Not only was it a hassle getting the bills organized. The establishment embellished the entire situation, and called the entire police force. Totally not called for. As 30+ gang task force/cops showed up. I m embarrassed for this restaurant that it had to come to that. I will never return to that tap n barrel. EVER! And it was my first time ever going. And I recommend anyone thinking of going there to think twice.

This was the worst experience ever our server was horrible we had to wave her down and had to get the other servers attention that were walking by that we wanted to order, ordered a bunch of appies and when they came out one of the orders were missing that she never even punched in and blamed the kitchen for it, the appies were picked up off our table without even asking anyone if we were done with them, I had specifically told her what food was on my bill, the food came out cold and still everyone was being patient with her and after all this at the end she sent the manager over saying she didn t feel comfortable serving us, this was a group of 15 people celebrating a 40th birthday and around 1030 they cut everyone off from drinking half the table was barley drinking or not drinking at all when the bills came everything was all mixed up and it was a complete mess and everyone was getting frustrated then they called the cops and the gang task force kid you not 12 police cars and 15 cops showed up unnecessary for all this, we all work hard for our money so yes it is frustrating when your bills are all mixed up the server should of asked for help with a big group from another server or even the manager them apologizing after and saying yes it s our fault and the manager admitting! this should of been managed way better in the beginning especially when reservations were made weeks before!!

I came here for a work Christmas party. Although there were a lot of us and we were quite demanding, the staff did a great job and provided good service.

Sports bar extravaganza! Finally a place with mega TV screens at every angle to watch. Happy hour available everyday. Good selection of Beer and Wine.

First time at this location and won t be my last. I had the clubhouse sandwich and it was up there with the best I ve had. My server recommended the coconut margarita and my friends loved theirs (I wasn t drinking). The service was also great. I ll be back.

About half of our party was disappointed with their food. Mine mask was fine as was my husbands. We found it expensive. 10 dollars for a beer?? My chicken burger was over 20. Shouldnt have been more than 17. Not sure if Ill go back

Always fast even when extremely busy

Had a fantastic time at tap & barrel in south Surrey. This was largely due to our server - Grace. She was very knowledgeable about the products and her suggestions were spot on for what we were looking for. If you go, ask to be sat in her section, you won t be disappointed.

Had appies last week and it was amazing. Grace was our server and she is a wonder bright young lady. Great experience.

Normally I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants but when you live in the burbs its pretty hard to avoid. This place is huge but the layout is well done and makes it feel more intimate. Food was good and surprisingly not crazy expensive. There are lots of great beers on tap. Family friendly. Nice addition to South Surrey/White Rock and will definitely go back.

Food is pretty underwhelming. I could do a better steak at home. My friends didn t particularly care for the burgers either. Pretty mediocre. Great selection of beer and atmosphere. Service is so so. I d probably go back for a beer but never for the food.

Food is expensive and not any different then whats offered at any other bar, pub, keg, social house, or cactus club to be honest this place is loud so you cant really have a conversation yes the drinks are flowing and the place is nice and clean servers are available but nothing really makes this place stand out above the rest of the options in our area go to the keg for steaks and great food go to the local pub for nachos and other bites go to cactus club for other popular dishes cause theres nothing worth coming here for I paid 14 50 for nachos with guacamole and salsa and what chipolte offers is a lot better for half the price we went here for a social event before Christmas someone else picked it I did not but since we have never been we thought wed give it a try husband had the steak and the keg is much better for the same price sad but In this market go where you trust and sadly this place isnt worth going to
