White Spot Guildford in Surrey

The food was good as usual. We were seated in the lounge area, in a booth with a skylight. It was so cold in there that they had a Presto Heater by the fireplace which doesnt seem to work. Waitress seemed miserable.

I rarely write negative reviews, but am writing on behalf of my family that went to this White Spot on Tuesday for brunch. My dad ordered the omelette, and although he s not a picky eater by any means, he commented that something tasted off about the ham. My mom and sister tried the omelette, and quickly noticed that the ham had a rancid taste/smell and was clearly spoiled. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty, the server didn t check in on them until the end of the meal. When my parents informed her about the issue, she told them that they should ve told her when she d checked in on them earlier, and there wasn t anything she could do about it now - however, the first and only time that she d checked in was when she d initially served the food. My parents didn t push further and paid the full bill, and simply asked for the manager to be informed of the issue. The server chose to ignore the comment and continued serving other customers. I m posting here because this overall service/experience is unacceptable in my opinion. I understand that when people aren t pushy enough they tend to get brushed off, but as someone that s worked in customer service - there s a clear correct way to amend an issue with spoiled food, and unfortunately this particular server chose the clear wrong way.

Brad was an absolutely stellar server. My girlfriend and I are making this location our normal spot, and are asking for Brad. 10/10 service.

Took my aunts and cousin for breakfast here and was very disappointed. Sunny side up egg was runny, bacon was half cooked not crispy and the shredded potatoes half cooked. I just wanted a regular bacon and egg breakfast with coffee and we have to order what is called a set menu which I find was pricey for a regular breakfast. Well it was all good since we had no choice but getting our food half cooked was a total disappointment and embarrassment to my aunts. And the coffee was terrible for how much it cost. I live around the area and thought it was convenient to bring family whos visiting from out of town here but that all change now. I made a mistake I should have taken them to Dennys and enjoyed a regular bacon and egg breakfast.

Waited way too long for burgers and fries and then the food was served cold. I was kind of wondering if it was still safe to eat.

I had car service and they were great. I was shocked at the Burger prices now. $22 and now they charge for onions. Not happy about that. Burger was good though

Worse experience ever! Our family is a regular customer to this white spot guildford location. However yesterday Sat we came for dinner and was not serve when sitting for over 20 mins with no water or anyone to greet us. No waiters or waitress even looked at us they had their head down and never even came to our area. I finally got up and spoke to the supervisor ? (Spanish lady) and she said cant you see we are all busy and your server will be with you. We waited another 10 mins and finally I got up and ask the waitress if she was our server she said yes and to wait. Finally when she came to take our order we sat another 45 mins and when we ask the server where is our food. We have been here now for over an hr. She said your food is still in the queue and gave me a snarky comment that I should have known it would be at least 45-1 hr wait! How would I know? I told her no way you are going to put that blame on us knowing and if we have known we would have not stay. So we told them we are leaving. She eyerolled and yes White spot u officially lost a loyal customer that comes every week. We will not only banned your restaurant but to let our family and friends know. The host should have inform everyone that walks in there that there will be a long wait.

Atmosphere wasnt the liveliest. Fireplaces were turned off the temperature was relatively cool; many of the customers were eating with their coats on. Customers with their coats on eating dinner should be assigned to management to turn up the heat. Temperature was just too cold. The burgers were good and well presented.

We were attended at once when we arrived last night (Nov 24 around 6:30pm) since there were only few costumers inside. The guy with blond hair was nice but not the lady with the black hair. She stamped the set of fork etc on our table and she did it even more with the other set we requested since we found the fork in the first set to still have 2 pieces of rice inserted in between. I ordered the Nat ribs which is too salty same with the 2 salmons on top of the 2 oily Alfredo spaghetti which my daughters ordered. My husband ordered spaghetti bolognese which he said that my personally cooked simple spaghetti is much better. Maybe they just not that good in pasta and the lady was already tired since it s already dinner time. Just so disappointed, it s our first time.

Food was very expensive for the amount and quality we received. We love white spot and its out go too for burgers, but definitely will not be back for breakfast. Both Aldergrove and Langley locations are much much nicer inside.

Always live a great meal at Whitespot, Thier Turkey on my last was great, to bad the management didnt have enough people working that night.

Came here for lunch with the family. Appetizer: fried coconut shrimp Chicken strips Onion rings Mains: mushroom burgers Double cheese burger. Fish and chips Chicken qaesadia The service was friendly and the restaurant had the space to accommodate my 7 months old nicely, with booth seating/high chair. The sever could have checked up on us for more water, especially the coffee refill. The main driving factor that pushed me to make this review is the fact the double cheese burger I ordered arrived to the table cold. The fries were definitely not fresh from the fryer and the slices of cheese on my burger was not even slightly melted at all. I was extremely disappointed, as we ordered literally 5 burgers in total, one would assume the fries and patties would be piping hot when they arrive at the table. I tried my wifes Chicken qaesadia, it was not bad. To the very least, it was hot and the cheese was melted, so thats a bonus. The chicken strips and onion rings were nice and hot. However, the fried coconut shrimp was not very appetizing. It looked dark and shriveled up. We finished with a blueberry cheesecake, it seems like the kids liked it. No complaints there. I didnt get to try to fish and chips, but it seems like it very nicely fried and the fish was moist. I personally would not come back to this location. Reason being: lack of standard for the food they send out from the kitchen. There are way better options to go eat for the prices they are asking.

I came by on August 9th, 2024 and was serviced by Taj. They were solid as a server. Food was goated tho. Loved the fries and my chicken fettuccini was mouth watering. The bacon pierogis took a bit for an appetizer, but overall a solid experience. NO CAP!

White Spot is a Vancouver classic. Good diner-style food. Great place for breakfast. Some of the booths at this location are too small but we moved to a larger booth which fixed the problem.

We went for a pre-planned end of year staff function. (Approx 25 people) It was pre-booked with a limited menu. This was 1pm (weekday) and the restaurant was not busy. We had ONE server for our entire group - which was NOT ENOUGH. It was an absolute gong show. Drinks took forever (excuses were given) ... food took forever ... fries were cold, dip was missing. Refills on drinks were non existent. Nobody asked how our meals were. Considering they knew well in advance that we were coming; and how many of us would attend - we deserved better. I later learned an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our group bill (which was paid). This shocked and disappointed me as we absolutely did not receive even standard acceptable service. I personally will never go back. Give me your ear and Ill tell you my story!!

Did the car hop service where u stay in your car and food gets delivered to u on a long board that fits inside the window track so it doesnt hurt ur car.

Dont bother coming to this location, go to whitespot in surrey central or milestones nearby We waited 50 minutes only to have a STONE COLD plate of breakfast to arrive. We walked without touching the food. Sunday morning so we get its busy, but that should be communicated. And if your customers are willing to wait 50 minutes, you better make sure their food is at least warm. Really shows you the standard of food the cooks and staff have at this location Went to a&w in the foodcourt for an amazing warm breakfast at half the price and a 2 minute wait.

Good restaurant, great staff! We came by a cpl weeks ago and Jason was very knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond helping my daughter with directions to some store inside the mall. Even tho he was only bussing tables he was on point and helped our table with cleaning and directions. Outstancustomer service. Highly recommend, not sure howcome hes not serving tables

We went in for dinner, sat there for 20+ minutes, nobody came to take our order. It was not busy. We tried to flag someone down, but nobody was looking our way. So eventually, we just got up and left.

My kids love this place.

I always come here. Somehow Im always drawn to go here for breakfast. Service is nice and friendly and get greeted fast( but maybe coz theyre familiar with me). Anyways, food is ok and not bad. Its just I can make my food at home better and cheaper. Like I said, I come here just as a ritual for me and my 3 kids just to get out of the house and that gets pretty expensive. Overall, just doing my part to support the economy.

The clubhouse sandwich is always the only thing we eat here and it is always good. As for the service we waited a long time because our server was chit chatting with another customer. We finally got frustrated and asked another server for our food. We have been going to White Spot since the mid sixties and overall it has gone down quite a bit since the earlier days.

Have dined in as well as ordered take out. Great customer service and attention to detail. Be aware white spot stops breakfast at 10am! So if you enjoy their breakfast as much as I dont be late! They have gluten free options as well as vegetarian. Parking lot is spacious and free. Restarant is on ground level and only has one level. Looks handicapped accessible. Child friendly and have a nice child meanu. A bit pricey, but the quality of the food is definitely better than other fast food restarants! Vegetarian options: Yes:) Dietary restrictions: Please ask your server as they do have options! Parking: Spacious and plentiful Kid-friendliness: Yes can be family restaurant. I m currently sitting here, 15min to someone show up and take the order now I m waiting for two burgers and a kids plate for more than 30min in calm Monday afternoon says it all not coming again.

Their pasta is premade in the morning, so at night, the pasta is really gross, and the grilled cheese tasted like burnt oil Im really upset, I have autism, and when I usually go to white spot their grilled cheese taste good, Im very sensitive, to Taste and im very disappointed that They would serve burnt oil in a grilled cheese And pre make their pasta And Im not sure if having ice in the ice cream was normal, but that was their to The fries were really good though and the workers were really nice About it But Im still a little discussed that they would premake their pasta and serve it hours later and just warm it up. the place wasnt that busy Though But they didnt Really have a lot of vegetarian options

My daughter and I went there and tried calling twice before we arrived about the time-no answer. As soon as we arrived they said they close at 10 with attitude. She asked 5x whether we wanted fries. No coffee refill. She didn t use the till to do the bill and tried using her mind to do math. She was wrong with the change. And she forgot about our take out order. I don t usually leave reviews.

Off White Sometimes we just eat wherever is convenient and this Spot was the convenience of the day, it s located outside of Guildford mall along 152nd street with its parking lot at the back. Not going to lie, these are one of those restaurants we grew up with when we were young and occasionally we still go back to them for whatever reason. Upon arrival, had to wait 10mins before someone miraculously came to show some existence of life in this place. Inside was pretty clean and could sense a silent atmosphere. Here were the food I ordered; 1. Chicken noodle soup. The soup was lukewarm, when soup served lukewarm its an automatic failed to me most of the time. 2. Coconut prawns. Pretty decently done, light little crisp with a nice light crunch to the prawns. 3. Steelhead florentine bowl. It was okay, the tomatoes and rose sauce was a bit too overpowering the fish. 4. New York steak. On the menu there s a section next to the main course read, RED SEAL CHEFS - Our red seal chefs spend roughly 5,000 hours (that s 3 years, if you are counting) apprenticing and perfecting their craft in our kitchens. That s a lot of New York steaks! Okay with that being said, how come my medium rare steak came out medium well?? My neighbour s friend s uncle in a remote village of Timbuktu can probably cook a good steak with 5 hours of training. I can t imagine how many steaks being wasted in that 5000 hours and still counting cooking 101 failed! Overall, the service was pretty basic but could be better if my server was around half the time. It was almost like dining at a ghost town with the food being subpar or failed. Yes I know I hear it all the time from people saying, I shouldn t expect much from dining at places like this but first of all it s not free, the prices are not cheap nowadays, and it does take up 1-2 hours of my time. (Honestly my time worth more than the meal lol). Unfortunately this Spot wasn t meant to be for me and the food quality was white OFF

Amazing food, sublime service! However there is a detrimental flaw Some of the forks and knives are magic, and are capable of super natural things, some others not so much, I myself received the latter. This left me crying and depressed inside; watching my friends float their forks had shattered my heart, as I watched them laugh and enjoy life.

Food was good, and it was relatively quiet for a Friday evening around 7:00pm, which is why I was wondering why it took 35 mins after being seated, for a server/host to ask us for our drink order, let alone what wed like to eat. We almost missed our theatres showtime.

It still has the tray that goes into each sides window slots . I still remember when I was little and in the back seat ...the tray was way above my head and Id grab my drink ever so carefully with both hands and lower it down to my mouth. The French Fries were in paper tubs with a foil back paper and when you opened up the fries steam would be rising up from them . I was about 5 or 6 and. Im 71 now and still enjoy that type of service. White Spots been in my life for a longtime .

We dined at this white spot location with our sons whole soccer team. I think there were over 50 people and we had one incredible server. He made sure all of our meals came out and kept the kids drinks flowing. It was very impressive as he was relatively young. Our server didnt seem to break a sweat as he handled all of the 13-year-old boys milkshake requests. The food was delicious and it was a great night.

Service is painfully slow. Bathroom was dirty. Id recommend drinking here but the drinks suck too.

My kids love coming here, we have a favorite waiter, his name is Nick. He goes above and beyond each visit. Tonight we had a waitress that spilled food on me. I was super grateful she clocked out and Nick was our waiter afterwords. The food was great, the drinks were great.

Foods are good and tasty. Pasta portion is big, not even can finished it and its super hot too. WhiteSpot Porkribs is always my son favorite when dining here. The place is clean and busy. Food served very quickly too. Recommend this place

I wish every white spot has the same quality of food. This is at the Guildford Mall location. The service took a hit because we sat down for 10 minutes before our server arrived. I think they were changing shifts because it wasnt that busy at the time. Atmosphere was good, not spectacular but not bad. The washrooms were clean but hard to find. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They were thoughtful and asked about food allergies. Lots of diet options. Parking: The parking is at the rear of the restaurant. My wife picked up a turkey dinner for two for $50 CDN it included a pumping pie .They dinner needed to be warmed up but presented us with a very generous portion of turkey and vegetables (not mushy vegetables either) with a very delicious flavour. The central city one is better, they don t just randomly cancel your order or consistently mess up your food (undercooked, overcooked, what have you). I wonder if this place is run by a bunch of kids

Not as good as it used to be. They are trying to improve. The burger was the best Ive had for a while but the new staff needs a little more training. Very pleasant meal over all. Went again and the service was excellent and the burger was delicious. A little noisy, but thats not the staffs fault.

I was at this location few days ago. The bartender guy served me. He was super friendly. The service, food everything was on time. I had an impossible burger and Bellini. The burger was really good.

Some woman was causing an absolute stink over nothing. It was mildly cold in the restaurant (there s an unprecedented arctic chill happening right now) and she demanded that her table s meal be free. She was there when we arrived and was still there chatting it up with her friends when we left, without her jacket on. The staff handled the situation beautifully- such grace, such patience. Tip your servers people.

Not much food varieties. The sandwich I ordered didnt know was a cold one, but thats not the bigest problem, the problem was that says it has spicy sauce...ketchup is more spicy than that sauce. Coleslaw was terrible

Came here for fish & chips, what I usually enjoy when I m in Whitespot. The meal came fast and the fish was way overdone and burnt. When asked by the hostess how everything was I told her . She came back and said the kitchen was made aware of it and sorry bout that Eventually the waitress ( with the blue fingernails) came by and asked how everything was when I was just finishing my meal said she heard about it and walked away. She brought me the bill and change and charged me full price and quickly walked away. Waitress didn t seem too cordial at all, personality of a dial tone. I always tip but this time I just couldn t bring myself to tip. Don t get me wrong I have been to this particular place a number of times for delicious food , good variety. Better luck next time I guess

Took longer than it should. Was waiting around a while for our drinks and food. Had a bug in my food too!!

So I have been in the hospitality for over 20 years. The reason I come here is my kids love the pirate packs. We entered and waited 5 min before anyone acknowledge us. Then we were seated and the hostess immediately took our drink order and brought it over very nice. Server didnt seem happy to be there and her attitude was horrible we were seated at a booth which had a view of the pass where the food comes out. As I noticed our food sitting there for over 5 minutes and watching 3 staff members pass I ordered Humboldt squid by the time it came out to me it was not crispy and it was soaked in the oil. Because it sat there It seemed they just through it on a plate. The rule of thumb is to do a quality check after customers taste and it was probably 20 min i felt we were just a hassle Where the food comes out it says are you proud of it? If not dont serve it! I guess there was a missed opportunity at the time of delivery. With prices of food rising. The staff should have a little more care about the food serving. For myself and my 5 and 8 year old its almost 70 dollars for lunch. Coaching your staff and doing a little more quality check would be helpful. Thank you. My kids love the milk shakes.

The food is always good and service is even better in Nicks section. My husband and I have been served by Nick more than once. He always gives the best service!

Whats happening these days, no gardeners? Garbage under the trees at the entrance, and no garbage cans anywhere outside. Clean up your entrance, its important. Your not the only restaurant that doesnt seem to care anymore. Often I see new places being built,new plants being planted,then, all that expensive landscaping is left to die.

I was disappointed in my food ... fish and chips...it seems White Spot has changed the batter for their fish...it was a lot thicker and greasier than before...then the chips were like from the bottom of the basket...plenty of little bits and pieces. Not what I have come to expect from White Spot. Service was very friendly and quick.

The Restaurant was clean and we had good service. Unfortunately after we ordered we went to the restrooms, then we became nervous. If the restrooms were that bad, how was the kitchen? The restrooms were bad! Really bad ! I had to mouth breathe bad. When telling staff and believe me we were not the only ones. No one seemed to really care. We will never , ever go back there. Never. We payed , left and I thought hope I don t get sick. Normally I m not so critical, but it kind of scarred me to be honest. And White Spot I m just being honest on my experience at your Restaurant.

Not happy with the meal we had sauce was piled on top of the plate and as we stated to eat our main meal came out. Had to go up the bar to cutlery and napkins and we didn t see the waitress much. Not a happy camper and won t be back for a while White spot

Irregular location for me and my family to enjoy dinner, always know what were going to get with no exceptions. Went for brunch the other day on the weekend and it was fabulous and enjoyed the wonderful Hollandaise sauce!

Everything was good. But they put hot food in front of my little granddaughter and she grab it and burned her hand. All they said was they were sorry. Her mom took her to the hospital and it was second degree burns. Not sure if I will go back with my grandchildren again.

Hostage was a sweet heart,our server wish I knew his name was friendly and efficient. Very attentive new we were in a hurry and came through for us. We had 2 -1/2ribs and they were wonderful, would recommend having. Order a refill of fries and In no time they were at our table. Our server was a guy like I said wish I got his name cause he was fantastic.

Visit many Whitespots have not been to this one for years. Asked for honey and lemon with my hot water a slice of lemon balanced on the mug...no honey no spoon waiter finally brought tosses it on the table thanks whete should I put the sticky spoon as thete was no saucer no no napkins. We both ordered the Mushroom burger they forget the lettuce on mine but did remember It for my friend. The fries were old and cold they did bring some fresh ones when we had finished our burgers. No refill on my coke no refill on hot water asked repeatedly. Guilford Whitespot really needs improvement Now the best part of this review is I received an email and Whitespot customer service was sending a gift card well that has never been received. What a total fail on Customer service promise something receive nothing Your customer service is deplorable

Nick has positive energy!, he is happy, genuine, enthusiastic, friendly, funny, abundant, amazing and gifted. I had great talks with Nick in between his serving, when he had a moment to spare, that was fun. Enjoyed myself Sunday, ate a lot, the pumpkin pie was great, and the Turkey dinner, perogies were perfect too. Nick made the whole experience better, I noticed, all patrons in Nicks section were having a Great time. Nick is a great people person, the type of person you can have a great friendship with. Update for November 21, 2023. A Manager Pat is friendly, easygoing, a working manager, an awesome person. A shout out to Jason Whitespot Guildford is #1 Great local community, comfort restaurant feel! All the Best, The Greatest servers, great food Raymond :) ps. Bring back the squid, pleeease.

Extremely pricey especially when you pay more than IHOP prices

This is definitely one of the better White Spots!!! The food was amazing, staff were so polite and helpful and the atmosphere had lovely music playing in the background, not too loud and very clean!!!! 5 stars for this one. I had a great time Kid-friendliness: Family friendly

Comfort food when nothing else will do.

Been going to this restaurant my entire life, but they just raised their prices again for the third time in 3 years and I am officially priced out of eating here. With tip and taxes a burger is now $30. Sorry to tell you, but it s not worth half that.

This white spot is amazing I was here the weekend before Christmas and had a great time with 8 family members, with that to say the least about the Willowbrook location.

You cant go wrong with White Spot. Its one of the few places my daughter absolutely adores, mainly because of the pirate pack. The service was excellent, and the food was as good as it always is.
