First visit was disappointed in sandwiches sloppy mess.

A club sandwich has three pieces of bread. Its a fairly simple recipe.

I saw so many videos about Philly sandwiches but never had a chance to try it out. I don t how authentic it is here but Philly sandwich in Carvery is the best sandwich I had in my life. As for authenticity their Cuban Sandwich is as good as I tried it in Florida.

If only the Carvery was closer to Vancouver where I live, we would go there often! Seriously some of the BEST sandwiches you will ever taste! Ive tried finding similar sandwich/deli in Vancouver but none have come close.

Excuse the non-flattering takeout picture but my shoddy iPhone photography doesn t do these sandwiches justice. If you blink you might miss The Carvery while driving by the bustling area, but that d be a grave mistake. I work down the street, my co-workers and I were absolutely amazed by this place. The menu rotates, but never loses its creative flair. It s as simple as that, they make damn good sandwiches and they won t be beat.

Carvery erves up some of the most delicious and generously filled sandwiches I ve ever had. The ingredients are fresh, and each bite is packed with flavor, making it a great spot for a hearty meal. However, the dining experience is dampened by poor ventilation and visible dust on the vents. The place could definitely use some improvements in cleanliness, particularly with its exhaust system. Despite the fantastic food, the dusty environment can be off-putting.

Wanted to initially promote how friendly everyone was as I was welcomed in before they even opened. The food is always great and definitely worth the extra drive to get here.

If you re hungry for a quality sandwich in south Surrey, this is the spot you need to dine at! Fresh ingredients and tasty in house made meat. The porchetta is *chefs kiss* delectable. Staff are very friendly and they play good music, the overall experience was very enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot.

Great soup and sandwiches

Normally dont post reviews... But we stopped here today craving a soup... OMG! This is hands down THE BEST soup and sammy spot in the lower mainland. I might be wrecked now for going anywhere else for a good sandwhich LoL The meat is über good, generously stacked, veggies fresh and bread is amazing... They put it all together like no other.. Dont know where to start on the soup.. Definitely went above and beyond satisfying my craving! Magic in my mouth!! If thats not enough, rhe staff were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Great vibe going on here.. If I was missing something in my life, I found what that was and it got filled today! Wow! Thank you so much! Stay awesome guys! Yum

Ruben sendwich nothing special with a bottle of water $18, plus they expect you to live a tip. Place isnt clean and stinks!

Came here to grab some lunch. Ordered the banh mi sandwich with chicken soup and both were incredible. Sandwich didnt look too big at first but it was absolutely loaded with meat and I could barely finish it. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone whose in the area for lunch.

I came here a few weeks ago and I ordered The West Coast Club sandwich, it was so good!! Especially the paprika aoli my partner and I devoured our meal. However, the service wasnt great the woman who took our order was rude and very dismissive, the man who made our sandwich was pretyy friendly, I wouldnt go back the service but definitely the sandwich.

Have a mango allergy and couldnt substitute sauce. Been coming here for 2 years and never experienced this. Definitely will not be returning along with friends and family.

Had a Reuben sandwich and the Magic Chicken Chowder. It cost a few bucks more than I expected, but that s rising food costs and their obvious commitment to using the best quality ingredients. I really enjoyed it, especially the chowder.

I used to be a regular at the Carvery sandwich shop when Shelia owned the place, and her handcrafted sandwiches were truly amazing. However, since the ownership changed, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality. Recently, I ordered a West Coast Club sandwich, hoping for the same delightful experience I used to have. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the sandwichs construction, and the taste was mediocre compared to what it once was. What really soured my experience was the rude and stuck-up attitude of the new owner. Its a shame to see how they have tarnished the old sandwich recipes that made this place special. I hope the Carvery sandwich shop takes customer feedback seriously and works towards improving both the quality of their sandwiches and the owners behavior. Its disheartening to see a once-beloved establishment go downhill.

These fine folks have been a favorite for years! It s all so good! All fresh, high quality, and made in house. It s become a regular stop-in for us. These folks love what they do and it shows. All their offerings are delicious, and the team is truly top notch. Support local!!

While aware of this place for a few years, I was finally in the area and stopped by to try it. Ordered the Motown Philly. This sandwich was absolutely delicious. The bread was fluffy and the cheesesteak wasnt too greasy. It wasnt overly salty and you could taste the freshness of the sauteed onions, mushrooms, and pepper. The location is nice and clean, with a small patio outside. Will be coming back!

This is such a cozy place with delicious food and atmosphere! They also have an outdoor space that s perfect for our dog to chill with us while we enjoy our lunch.

Let me preface that the service was only a 3 cos it is deli or caf style service which is just fine cos the focus here is solely on da meats! Who gots da meats? THE CARVERY def have da meats and then some! Best smoked meat I have ever put in my face hole! The emphasis is on smoke. Rick,dank, smokey goodness is what I personally seek out in meats and only if they arent dominated by liquid smoke but rather ample time smoked over real wood. Nothing can duplicate smoke essence better than time over real wood smoke. I noshed a savoury Cubano laced with the best smokey proteins to ever grace a sandwich. The tart mustard nicely emphasized the tangy dill pickle that cuts through the rich saltiness of all the ample meats.The bread harnessed all the satisfying meaty goodness successfully. Not cheap prices but in-house, home- made from scratch quality typically never is cheap and these meats r def worth worth the extra cheddar. Come at me with da meats again and again at the Carvery! Went here on a rainy day. Tomato soup was delicious. My pulled chicken sandwich was alright, but my husband really enjoyed his beef dip sandwich.

The Cubano Sandwich I had at The Carvery Sandwich Shop was delicious. The cost of my sandwich was CAN$15.75 The only issue was finding a parking spot outside at peak lunch hour.

A friend told me about this place, tried it, it s absolutely the best sandwich I ve ever had in my entire life . Their sandwich, the soup, everything they make is amazing . Best sandwich shop in town! So many flavors in one bite! As you order you get to watch the chef(s) prepare the sandwiches! Always 2 or 3 soups to choose from (none of them ever disappoint). No hot coffee or tea but they do have a stand up cooler with a wide selection of cold beverages. Lots of unique decor and only a handful of tables to choose from! Soooooo good and service is always quick and friendly!

Masterful sandwich crafting. Yep, this place is on point. On my first visit, I decided to try the Cubano, and wow, was totally blown away. Bun was soft and chewy, sauces flavorful, veggies fresh, and the meat was straight up divine. Some special pork rub made the meat crazy delicious. The texture and tenderness of the meat got extra points too. These guys are passionate about their meat making and you can definitely taste it. Edit: Customer service here is super nice. It was so cool chatting with the staff there. They seem passionate about the craft. 5 stars for jolting my taste buds to the next level and happy customer service. Definitely recommended.

The framed awards all over the wall says it all! I finally had the chance to check out this literal hidden Gem for lunch and the food was fantastic. My West Coast Club was loaded and so yummy. It s great to see the business get back on its feet since the flood! The Carvery has been packed every time I ve gone since the reopening, and for good reason; the quality haven t changed and they still serve the same sandwiches and soup that they ve built their reputation on.

The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. What more could you ask for from a restaurant? When we re in the neighborhood we almost always stop by for lunch. The Classic Chicken soup was so good it s insane. However, the sandwich (Westcoast Club), wasn t anything special at all. Definitely not worth $13.50. I ll go back for soup, but I ll just make my own sandwiches in the future.

i had the Turkey sandwhich with sour dough bread when I was there and it was really good, with their own aoli sauce, THE SOUP THO. Their soup is insanely good.

ugh! i use to sing your praises for people to come here. I still think your sandwhiches are good but not out of this world. I was craving one recently. I Ordered 2 sandwhiches and 2 drinks tipped 18% and it somehow came to $50 dollars which in my personal opinion is a tad steep $$$

We visited this place for the first time over the weekend for a quick lunch. The soups were delicious. We took away some wraps for a pot luck and did not get a chance to try them as they were the first items to evaporate. We will definitely be back for more.

Great staff. Highly recommended to me. Came here for lunch and it was busy. Sandwich was very good. It can be a bit of a pain to get I to the parking lot.

My favourite sandwich and soup shop

Just went with the wife for our first of many many to come visits. I had the motown philly with a cup of cream of mushroom soup the wife had the chicken panini. Both of us really enjoyed every last crumb and had to leave with a bottle of mango hot sauce .. I cant get enough of the flavors and already am craving another

WHY ARE YOUR SOUPS SO GOOD!!!! The sandwiches are extremely filling so for someone who doesn t eat large portions I suggest sharing a wrap or a sandwich with a friend and get two small soups! 100% try the soups the Buffalo is incredible (they made them on Thursdays)

The best best sandwiches in the Langley/surrey area. Their brisket on the weekends is delicious but honestly all of their sandwiches are. Everything tastes & is homemade . Big portions too!

The Carvery has, without a doubt, the best sandwiches in South Surrey. I always try to go on Fridays to get the special, which is an amazing pork Bahn Mi. My husband tried this place once during a lunch break and subsequently wanted to take me here because the sandwiches were amazing . We would run errands as a family and stop by to get some sandwiches only to forget they close at 4pm. Finally, after the birth of my youngest, he had the idea to bring me sandwiches to the hospital for lunch, and that was my first time trying their food! The sandwiches are delicious!!! The club is my favourite, and has me appreciating sourdough (a bread I had previously hated)! Yum yum!!

I left my first review 4 years ago but wanted to add to it! This past weekend we ordered sandwiches for a party, and they were ABSOLUTELY fabulous! Everyone at the party was raving about how amazing they were and were asking where we got them from. If youre looking for the best sandwiches in South Rock either for lunch or to bring to a party your first stop must be the Carvery! We even had two vegetarians in the group and Bryan and the team were able to easily accomodate them with equally delicious sandwiches. Thank you Carvery team!! My Original Review: The Carvery is White Rocks answer to Meat & Bread in fact I think its better! Having moved out here from living downtown I LOVE that this place is in the neighbourhood (even walking distance). All of their sandwiches and their homemade soups are so delicious but especially the Porchetta on weekends.

Really wasnt impressed for what you got for the price you pay. And a place called the Carvery i really expected to find a smoke meat sandwich on the menu. Everything but....

If you want an excellent sandwich, this is your place! Honestly, every time I go in, they constantly deliver an awesome experience. This place excels at consistency and produces an entire menu of sandwiches you cant get anywhere else including daily specials. I love this place. My only hope would be that they opened for dinner.

Had the best cream of mushroom soup here the other day. The sandwiches we got were also amazing, though the soup exceeded our expectations

Instant 1 star for not having water for customers. Id have given 3 if not. Average sandwiches over priced. No indoor dining. Not much going for it, unless you like spending 15 bucks on an average sandwich at a place that wont give you a cup of water yet have the audacity to ask for a tip.

Finally got the chance to try their famous chicken sandwich on a Wednesday, and ordered a lambwich as another tasting. Im feeling ridiculously underwhelmed. The portions are not congruent with the prices charged. And Im not feeling blown away by their sandwiches. The cabbage slaw in the chicken sandwich wasnt chopped/shredded finely either - just sloppy chunks. The value isnt there for me. Some of the clientele are uncivilized folks allergic to masks. That was annoying waiting in the same room as them, but its not the restaurants fault.

Got a Motown philly and when I bit into it, there was a plastic paper stuck in the inside of the sandwich. When I brought it back the guy taking the orders said okay you want a new one or your money back, no apology and just a smart attitude. When I said if I owned this place the man said I don t own it and brushed me off. Disappointed since I used to come here from a couple years now

The sandwiches are delicious but have had issues with not getting the whole order, e.g. missing a soup , or today, missing the Au Jus for a beef dip. Super disappointing when youre paying so much for a sandwich and discover when youre already at home.... called to let them know but staff didnt offer to do anything.

A bit pricey but good

I had such high hopes for this amazing looking place. To give them credit they were so so soooo busy. Due to them being busy they were putting food out in my opinion just a bit too fast. I would have been happy waiting a little longer for it to be done properly... the photo says alot... what could have been amazing just needed a bit more love. Taste was good. So the potential was there.

Our sandwiches and salads we re good. Ordering online was a bit cumbersome but we have some dietary details so did it over the phone and it worked out.

After reading the positive reviews about the Carvery, I decided to go with my friend to check it out myself. We ended up splitting three sandwiches, the cubano, the beef brisket and the philly cheese steak. The philly cheese steak was cut thinly so it was very tender, but the cheese blend left a little to be desired. In terms of sandwiches, it was a pretty decent sandwich on its own, but compared to the other two, it came up a bit short. The beef brisket was phenomenal. It was saucy, fatty and wonderfully messy. I could eat a plate of the brisket on its own, but the crispy loaf wraps things together nicely. Finally, the cubano. Oh man. This sandwich should not be called a sandwich and is more of an out of body experience. This is a work of art, layered between a delicate bun and perfectly compliments the various rich components of the sandwich. The roast pork was nuts, and their chili mayo was a very interesting twist that elevated the cubano. I ve lived in the area for 18 years, and I m kicking myself for discovering this joint so late and lamenting all the lost years of delicious sandwich enjoyment that could have been.
