Lake Simcoe Arms Pub in Sutton

Definitely better since they changed the lighting and paint back to traditional. I was there a few years back when the had bright LEDs and bright floors and walls. It felt like a hospital so I swore I wouldnt go back. Much better now as it feels more traditional. And food and beer was good.

Like you re taking a trip to little Britain! Very cosy and welcoming restaurant, live music, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Brought my grandparents here for brunch and they loved it Food

Lovely place to meet up with a friend after work. The server seemed young and my only concern was how loud she was when expressing political opinions with a nearby table.

The food was great, the service was good too and the veranda was awesome watching the stars at night too.

Its an okay spot great beer selection.

My Mac & Cheese was $20 and was most certainly made with Kraft Dinner powder cheese and Cheese Whiz. Appalled to say the least.

We had lunch at Lake Simcoe Arms. The food was delicious! I had the chicken club sandwich on a pretzel bun and fries and my friend had the nachos. Becky was our server and she was absolutely lovely and so friendly!! We are from out of town but we will definitely go back there again!!

We enjoyed our dinner and experience very much! The service was excellent as was the food. The restaurant has a great historical vibe and is so clean that even my boyfriend commented on the cleanliness!!

Was in the area yesterday, I needed gluten free options as I am Celiac.Our server Becky was fantastic!! Very noligable and helpful and she suggested the open face steak sandwich on the he gluten free bun was perfect. I was happy to have gf options. My hubby had a homemade burger( he is not celiac), it was delicious as well. We will be back !! Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac, this place had good gluten free options

Once again had a great meal but what was outstanding this time was our server, Indica. She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and always smiling. We hope we have her serve us again.

We see staying in the area for a few days and our hotel recommended Lake Simcoe Arms. The food was great. I had steak and blue cheese. It was done perfectly. My husband had jambalaya, and in was great too. Our service was excellent. We will go again to try some other entries that looked yummy.

Honestly I mostly leave good reviews but this experience was beyond bad. First off 4 different people and the same one twice came to offer us a seat after we asked to order take out. So then finally ordered, received and left only to discover that the food was absolute garbage. We had BURNT Sweet potato waffle fries, jambalaya that looked like it was scooped out of a pail Accompanied by burnt garlic bread. Id say the staff are very negligent and clearly dont care what they are serving people.

We waited in parking lot for friends in our car a cordial young lady came out and asked if we were comming in because ppl had been calling asking if they are busy because the parking lot is full as it turned out the parkette next door was having an event and those folks were taking away the spots when our friends arrived we went in and had a lovely time and good food the waitress was wonderful as we left the young lady (hostess or manager ) took time to thank us for our honesty when she questioned our intent in the parking lot ...let me say that was a welcome warm feeling thank you lovely spot will come again !

Always reliable for tasty pub grub and speedy service. We always sit far from the main dining area to avoid the noise.

Cell service in the area is crap but great patio n close to lake, n u can take a yrt bus(year round 7 days a week) all the way to its door step. That mean I can public transit from downtown Toronto to here :)

English Pub feel where everyone knows you. Curry chicken spring rolls were good and chicken Caesar salad was on point.

We always have a meal at the Simcoe when were in the area. Its always a great experience and this time was no exception. The food was great the staff was friendly as always. Highly recommended.

Sydney made us feel at home in this fantastic British style pub. Great food, great atmosphere and they even had the England Euro cup game on!!! They don t allow dogs on the patio though. Food : 5/5

This restaurant has been a favorite of the family for years. We ended up here after a Keswick restaurant (that was closer) was packed and noisy. Im glad we made the drive to nearby Jacksons Point and had enjoyable dinners celebrating a birthday. The atmosphere, waitstaff, and food were all great. We will return for other birthday dinners.

Well, if you run out of truffle oil - just say it. Admit it and take away the plate. No need to explain that I should not expect truffles in the fries, neither recommend me the Ice-cream place across the street emphasizing they do NOT have truffle ice-cream just because I mentioned clearly and loud that there was ZERO presence of any kind of expected truffles in my fries (neither artificial nor natural). Neither I am interested to know how many of those truffle fries you sell. I usually care about my very one plate only. Also, I do love truffles and can sense a very subtle aromas overall, that is why I asked the waitress right away - are you sure it is Truffle Fries? Well, well - no truffles - no stars...

Made a pitstop here while cycling to get some lunch and the staff were nothing but amazing. They had no issues with me bringing my bike in and my server, Indika, the sweetest person. She made my day and was very helpful. The food was great as well.

Second time I ve ordered from here since the new owner change. First time I got the spin dip and French onion soup. Both way overly priced and lacked flavour. Chalked it up to perhaps a bad day. Tried again with the Mac& cheese it came to 20$ for a flavourless bowl of noodles. Barely any cheese and had to season it myself at home. Very disappointed.

Jalapeños poppers were amazing! French onion soup was excellent!

We had our wedding reception there jan 13/24. From the very begining, every interaction we had with the staff ( primarily Becky) was exceptional. The location was perfect , the hospitalty was over the top , the food was excellent and everything as far as plans, arrangements etc was delivered with excellence. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning a function and special thanks to Becky for going the extra mile every step of the way.

Claimed last call at 10:30pm. Suggested pub nearby but closed at same time. Website says closes at 12am.

We were here for a weekend of ice fishing. Stopped in Thursday night for dinner and the food was terrific. Decided we needed a treat so had the bread pudding for dessert. We would come back just for that alone, served arm with caramel sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. Saturday night dinner decision comes around and we went back, and had the bread pudding again! The staff was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice. Will definitely be back

This past December, we held my dad s 70th birthday party here at the Lake Simcoe Arms. We rented the private room upstairs. It was very clean and nicely set up .Becky was wonderful, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything I requested was possible. The food was great, nicely displayed. We had a great time and we will be back. Parking: Lots of room in the parking lot close to the front doors. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly environment

Went to a private event in the upstairs area with my two young munchkins and the service was fantastic! I wish I remembered her name but she brought art supplies for the kids & chicken strips and fries because they wouldn t eat what was served. Was friendly and quick to fill glasses

Weve dined in here a few years ago and loved it. However, weve ate here 3 times over the past 6 months now - both dine-in and take-out and its completely changed. We were hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt because the menu looks good but thats where it ends. Portions are inconsistent: Fish & Chips take-out order had less than a handful of fries; the Nachos didnt have any salsa or sour cream on the side (and was way over-cooked/burnt). Previously, Id eaten a salad that looked like it was put under the heat lamps and drowning in dressing. It wasnt edible. To top it off, prices are through the roof. When you spend $80 on two fish & chips and one nachos only for it all to be either gross, missing items or just meh - it was the final straw - we wont be back. As someone else stated in another review - if the menu was updated for burgers, fries, wings, etc - basic pub food only - this place would be fine.

Staff are attentive and this pub is very cozy, the only complaint is about the food, doesn t taste fresh, have been to this pub several times and its always the same. I hope they do sth about this.

My wife and I went there for St. Paddys Day. We ordered the cornbeef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots. I ate mine because I was hungry. My wife couldnt eat hers said it was horrible. Now were not talking, so much for our night out. This place WAS one of our to go stops for dinner, not so sure now. We moved here just over a year ago, and up until tonight, everywhere weve have been to has been great. As a person with close to 40 years in customer service, Id have to say that tonight was the worst Ive seen. I would be interested to hear what the owner has to say about this.

Great service and the food was good. We were there today for lunch. I can t remember our servers name. The carrot cake cheesecake was amazing. I looked up a recipe to try and make my own. We ll be back for sure

We live 2.5hrs away from this location and a local recommended this place. So happy we stopped here. Possibly the best fish and chips ever, and the sweet potato waffle fries! Wow! Our server Mackenzie was on point with the menu and offered amazing service. I rank this as one of our best traveling restaurants. Karaoke was happening during our visit. A must stop if you are passing thru the area.

Couldnt find the hockey game, very disappointing

Food was terrible, they messed up fish and chips and liver and onions, but our server was terrific.

We went for dinner on Mother s Day and both of us had the Prime Rib. It was done to perfection! The server was very friendly and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The price for the Prime Rib was very reasonable! I would recommend this place. We will definitely be going there again!

Me and my friends came to have a nice dinner here however we found a hair in one of our friends mac and cheese we complained and the manager accused my friend of putting the hair in himself. The manager then continued to raise her voice at us and was rude about giving my other friend a discount as the hair may have been in our plates as well. We were uncomfortable of eating our food and therefore did not eat even half of our food. Two of us ended up paying over $30 for the food that we BARELY ate. This was completely disrespectful and a horrible experience. We are disgusted and do not recommend this restaurant. We were polite but received very poor service.

Went for brunch/lunch on the weekend. Service was great, super friendly and gave us some suggestions in the area. Food was great, we got eggs and steak, eggs and peameal, eggs and bacon and chicken tenders. All delicious!! Drinks were great too! Just a note: patio isnt dog friendly but we were allowed to have her on the grass beside the patio. Appreciated them allowing that. We were up there camping so it wasnt like we could leave her at home. Tabby (the dog) appreciated the comments that she was very well behaved and welcomed back anytime. Great patio too, def will be back when we come camping again!

Spent a week camping at SIBBALD POINT, needed a good meal. Stopped in and will do it again without a doubt. Cheers to the staff!

We are new to the area and have come here a few times. Staff are very friendly, atmosphere is great and the food is delicious.

Went with a group of 10, service was fantastic, everyones meal came basically at the same time. Waitress was fun and accommodating. Very good job. Typical pub grub, hot and fresh.

We didnt actually end up eating or even having a drink here, the selection of beers was from 1980. You are a pub, get something other than Coors and Bud on tap, or even in a bottle.

We went here for a late night drink for my bachelorette party, and we had a such a great time. There was karaoke which was amazing and so fun. Such a great night!! Drinks were good and the service was good :)

It s our go to pub . It s about 30 min drive one way for us but we ll worth it. We try to go there once a week . Food is always great , we love the lattice cut sweet potato fries and the service is fast and so friendly . Food : 5/5

A little disappointed, we were excited to eat here with our kids. We came on a Saturday when they were not busy and were seated right away. We waited 20 minutes to be served and decided to leave as no one came. If it were my husband I, we would have waited, however, with children its much harder. Hopefully they resolve their staffing issues.

Hi. I used to go here often. It was hopping. Great food. Great service. The management seemed to care about the restaurant and the staff. Now there is not often staff or kitchen cooks for busy times like lunch and dinner. One girl who was awesome but having to do the job of 2 if not 3 waitresses. Management did not come out to host, clear or help. She was running trying to get to everyone outside and inside. It was pretty full and it s a large space I didn t feel it was fair at all. It s too bad. I hear other visitors say the sane thing. I have been three times in the last two weeks. It s just sad to see such a great place stress their staff out unnecessarily and their visitors. I really hope that changes. There are so few places to sit outside in the fall or summer to enjoy this amazing community. Indicate was amazing. I couldn t believe she was doing it all with a smile and kindness on her own. It should be 5 stars in a place like this.

Ordered chicken wings which were rather dry. Couldnt really eat them so brought them home. Theyre still in the fridge. The waitress was nice.

Have been coming here for years, but usually in summer, and sit outside, which is fantastic! The servers were attentive but not crowding and sitting inside was just as nice! Dinner was yummy, typical pub food, and was served quickly. Sutton doesnt have many pubs and if youre up this way I suggest you stop by here, at the very least for a pint!!!

My friends and I live right down the street from The Simcoe Arms and absolutely live to go for dinner, music, dancing and watching hockey games.

Pricey, underwhelming food. Ordered the trout with salad and whoever made the salad clearly doesn t eat salads. Completely lacked appeal.

A historical old pub with a modern day twist on food. Weve only recently in the last fewo that been coming regularly. Im happy to say its one of our regular spots now. Great food, good service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Good food and atmosphere

My family and I have been going to the Lake Simcoe Arms for years. While the food is good, the service is great. We have had the pleasure of being served by Becky on multiple occasions, she is always cheery, attentive, personable and professional. Becky along with her server team, Amanda, Diane & Felicia is what makes the Arms feel like home away from home.

The best fish and chips Ive had in years. The beautiful Indica had a great attitude and was very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch today and left with absolutely no regrets! Our server Indica was so friendly and personable! The burger, fries and side of gravy was a great recommendation. We can t wait to go back and have that meal again!

Visited there yesterday afternoon. Food was great. Fish, reuban, wings and wrap were ordered. Our server was friendly and efficient. Patio was busy but we sat inside. Very nice restaurant.

The Food was good. The Ambience was great.. No issues with parking.. But the food price was bit high as compared to other Fine Dinning classy restaurants. The meal I ordered was generic Grilled Salmon with rice.. It was very pricey . So I may not go again there.. When I can dine the same item for less price at The Keg or Chopsteak House or Red Lobster ...why would I go to this Lake Simcoe Arms... Over all..A good restaurants for fine dinners

I usually don t rate high but yesterday Becky and her team were outstanding and the food for lunch was awesome. Staff here are kind and offer delicious food. They pay attention to their guests and you can tell there is a great sense of variety. Would recommend anyone visiting Georgina to definitely check this place out. Good food, great service, awesome sense of community!

Very disappointed with over cooked fish. chips were good. But had trouble cutting through hard batter.
