Palazzo Salato in Sydney

I booked this restaurant for my partners 30th birthday and emailed in advance to inform the restaurant and requested a nice table. There was no acknowledgment of the special milestone birthday and we were given a very poor table. Food was average. Do not recommend especially for special occasions. Disappointing.

Amazing food! Amazing red wine! It was a pleasure to see Gui (ex 6Head chef) manning the pass. Absolutely made my night! Will definitely come back here again sometime!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Palazzo Salato. The flavors were incredibly rich, and every dish we tried was memorable. We ordered nearly all the pastas (skipping only the gnocchi), and the Cavatelli with pork sausage and red sauce was an absolute standout perfectly seasoned and so flavorful! We also tried the Trippa alla Romana, which was a great twist for adventurous diners. The Flat Iron Steak was cooked beautifully and had great depth of flavor. Service was impeccable friendly, attentive, and efficient making the experience all the more enjoyable.

Where do I begin?! My partner and I had the best experience here. If youre a fan of wine and genuine Italian food, youre in for a treat! This is the best course Ive had in forever. The food and and wine pairing is spectacular, so if youre in doubt, take this as a sign. Not to mention that the service was impeccable!!!! Scarlett and Julie were phenomenal and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. The chefs course and wine pairing is to die for. The waitresses were so sweet and very accommodating, thank you so much Scarlett and Julie

Came here with my husband, FIL, and my parents who were visiting from America and we were all blown away by the spot on service, incredible flavors and extensive wine menu and cocktails. This was the only photo I took because I was too busy eating and chatting but the mafaldine was insane. Loved the scallops, beef crudo, agnolotti and looking forward to going back and trying more. Don t think. Just go.

Superb, tasting menu was fantastic and glad we went with the tasting menu - matched by the energy of our sommelier. Nice environment inside, decor compliments also. Tartare the highlight.

At this level is how reviewers love to frame places. And here, the level should be pretty spotless. Sadly, there are spots aplenty in the execution of some dishes. The bresaola is excellent with fine grissini. We fight over the miniscule olive oil with the bread, in the two occasions we are given a piece. The scallop cervice and crab pasta are well executed dishes. But both ask the diner to imagine a lot more of the protein than a balanced and value dish would provide. The pork ravioli were well executed and the sauce a gentle and faithful companion. Tasty, yet wanting as two of 3 were, they shone above the other offers. The blue eye had met its match in the kitchen, yielding to a quantity of heat that little could survive. This didnt. I wonder how fresh the fish was, but Ill never be able to assess with confidence after the beating it took in the oven, which isnt my preferred method of cooking blue eye (it prefers slow pan, or steaming to the pan then oven technique that softer fish love). The potatoes were stale before they were fried. Once boiled, there is a 12 hour window within which theyll keep their character. No amount of high fat heat could save these. The salad looked like a post psycho shower scene. I love the Italian torn salad culture. But here, the mediocre leaves were really unsightly. The dressing, however, was top shelf yumness. The service was attentive and genial, and very helpful, and the room was charming. Ive had friends report similar experiences to mine and better experiences. Vegetarian options: Maybe a few. Staff are very accommodating with the variations though.

Food flavours were not authentic. Mafaldine spanner crab pasta sauce tasted like a sweet chilli sauce and not an authentic flavour. Cavolo Nero dish should not be on the menu. Potato side dish tasted like it was from Nandos with the loaded chicken salt. Portions size small. Reviews on google very misleading.

Highly disappointed with our experience here. We dined on a Friday night. The waiter told us not to Google the pasta names even though we were Italian and he assumed we just didn t understand the menu before we even had the chance to read it. The food was extremely disappointing. The stracciatella was so bland it lacked anything flavour! The ham dish sounded nice but when it arrived it was simply slices of ham with hot sauce? The pasta was not authentic and tasted like a sweet chilli sauce? Crab pasta with hardly any crab at all If you filter the reviews from low to high you can see a lot of people have similar experiences here. No idea where the 5 stars are coming from in regards to GOOD food as it just wasn t it.

Delicious pasta and dessert!! Harrison recommended the best dishes and his service was exceptional! We had the Mafaldine, Spanner Crab, Uni Butter, Chilli, Sea Blight, Agnolotti dal plin, Wessex Saddleback pig, prune, pistacchio, Mixed leaf salad and Sour Cherry Clafoutis, Vanilla Gelato. The pasta was cooked well and the balance of flavours were on point. We recommend soaking up the sauce with the bread. The cherry clafoutis was incredible and we cant wait to come back to have more!

I celebrated my birthday with another group of girlfriends at Palazzo Salato. The food was not too heavy. Our favourites are the Stracciatella di buffala and Mafaldine with spanner crab and uni butter. The cocktails have a strong kick which is just the way like it. Ive been here twice and both times I have been very impressed with the food. The set menu with the wine pairing was excellent, and I think quite well priced.

Just had lunch here - you must not go past the spanner crab pasta. You will not be disappointed. We had the tasting menu, amazing value for money for delicious food! Just go.

Awesome Chef Hat quality restaurant in the heart of Sydney. Last minute booking for a group of 6 of us from Melbourne and given the best seat in the house. Food was amazing. Their Jazz Bar was also incredible after dinner. Highly recommended

Our waiter was amazing, the wine list comprehensive and the food delicious, especially the tartare and pasta. The set menu was on the smaller size (could have done with some larger servings for the pasta) and the tart wasnt the tastiest. However we were not able to enjoy the lovely vibe due to being berated like a children by the host (I had accidentally made the booking in error the hour before, but had tried to call 5 times over an hour to rectify).

The Spanner Crab Malfadene is the best pasta dish I have ever had, and that includes during my time in Italy this year. It s so delicious I didn t want it to end.

Came here to satisfy pasta cravings and it did not disappoint! The interior is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is beautiful. The spammer crab malfadine was a standout - so delicious. The staff who sat us down and our server were both super friendly and the service overall was exceptional.

We chose the Palazzo Salato based on the very good Google reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. Not a single course from the tasting menu was convincing. The taste is boring, the food presentation is loveless. I cant remember eating so poorly at a restaurant with such good reviews. At least the service was mostly friendly and competent. No recommendation.

I think most of the dishes were too salty.

Went there for our staff Christmas dinner, and it was great! The food was delicious, and the service was really exceptional. Tim was our server, and his speed, attention to detail, as well as being a genuinely nice guy, made the evening wonderfully memorable. If you are into whisky, Jacob really knows his spirits and gave me an excellent recommendation. Their entire team worked together seamlessly. Again, it was a great night for us all. Thank you!

What a lovely restaurant and group of wait staff and obviously chefs and artisans behind the scenes to make this place so much fun to be in. Very accommodating to my guest with a nut allergy and a request for a change in pasta type was no problem so I just say what a wonderful experience and exceptional food. A must visit and return

Over cooked pasta in Italian restaurant, not acceptable. For a $120 tasting menu/set menu, dividing a not-so-big slice of chocolate tart and a small scoop of melting gelati amongst THREE people is hard to believe, and made it an very awkward experience for a business dining, we dont mind if it happens at dating or dining with very close families. Everything else was also small portion, inconvenient and messy when its not served individually to each diner. Each of us had two slices thin and small steak, one small slice of bread, and again - three people shared one standard serving size pasta, each of us had a few pieces. Short-hair waitress took away my red wine glass before we ordered drinks, she couldnt put it back until I repeated the same request three times to her please leave it there, Ill have red wine later.

Me and my mates had such an incredible evening enjoying great food, drinks and service. The chefs did so amazingly and the servers were efficient, friendly and happy to have a chat about the food, laugh and check in with us during the evening. That goes for all staff, even those that brought out the food, drinks or cutlery were checking in and were so friendly. Thank you again, I will be back!

We had a surprise birthday lunch with 16 guests and Palazzo Salato was the perfect spot. Amazing food, great service and a restaurant with beautiful decor. We ll definitely be back to try a few more menu options. Also a big thank you to the staff who were a big help with the surprise!

Second time returning to this restaurant. I can t get enough of the pasta here! We ordered a few different pastas to share, and had to order some more! They all had such intense and interesting flavours and textures. My parents loved the spaghetti alla chittara with mussel ragu whilst my brother and I fancied the gnocchi with escargots. The iconic mafaldine had a fantastic curly texture making for an engaging mouthfeel, and as with all the pastas, was cooked to a lovely al dente. The cavatelli with red sauce wasn t as big of a hit as it was a bit sour, but my boyfriend enjoyed it the most. Service is fantastic and ambience is excellent too.

Experience, food, service, wine all absolutely top. I would comfortably put Palazzo in my top 3 restaurants in Sydney. Go, spend some money and get the full experience. I didn t know that the mafaldine was their signature dish, but I can see why it t is. Can t wait to go back.

We enjoyed everything we ate. The asparagus with soft egg, trippa alla Romagna, and the ricotta gnocchi with escargot were particularly outstanding. Every single person who waited on the table was fantastic. The service is amazing, the tip for dessert - torta della nonna - was spot-on. We loved everything about our meal here and will be back with other friends.

The food here is to die for! Normally I make really nice pasta that some famous places that I ve been to have been nothing but disappointment. But not this place though. I can proudly say that my pasta has been topped by the restaurant s spanner crab pasta! The portion is not enough for me urgh can t wait to go backk 100/10 The vibe is all round classy yet very casual.

Very comfy and sophisticated but relaxed vibe. Pasta is delicious and just the perfect portion. Great drinks list - theres a massive selection. Only drawback is we did not get the salad we ordered but Ill try it next time! Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Thank you so much for accomodating us! My friend and I yammer on for hours and we both appreciated you letting us move to the bar to finish our meal, despite us being there for three hours. Everyone was so friendly, from the passionate sommelier, all waitstaff and the manager of the night to the gorgeous bar staff who introduced us to our first dirty martinis. Really nice Italian , borders between traditional and creative on its dishes , which makes the food delicious and the service is good albeit a little slow , I think our mains had been forgotten ? Wine list is interesting , as you have the option for half size bottles , plus a very comprehensive cocktail list . Sadly the couples seating is uncomfortable for couples as some tables the seating is not opposite to each other , it s one on each side meaning you don t face each other , you face other dinners which isn t ideal .. and a little odd .. Would return but be more adamant on the seating selection .

The sun rose, and with it, I awoke. Friday, the 13th, no less, and of course I had an exam in the morning. The adjudicator commands us to commence and the pages turn over. 90 excruciating minutes of fettered mental energy. Where was my mind? As the Pixies would ask . Not on my exam paper, but in fact, elsewhere, to a far away time, a future time, where soon I will be dining on the most scrumptious delicacies at the venerable Palazzo Salato - and O! Served by the attentive, inviting and uplifting Scarlett. My mind leapt from scallop to artichoke, from Riesling to Negroni, what delight shall my palate indulge in next? Who knows Scarlett knows, and with Scarlett s guidance through the Cretan Labyrinth of Palazzo s menu, she ferried me to an after world with gold on my eyelids like Charon across the Acheron. Thank you Scarlett expect my return.

If youre looking for the ultimate dining experience, Palazzo Salato is it! From the moment we walked in, everything was impeccable, but the true highlight of the night was our absolutely fabulous waiter, Scarlett. She wasn t just attentive she was an absolute delight. Her warmth, charm, and perfect recommendations made us feel like royalty! Honestly, Scarletts service was so flawless, it felt like she could read our minds. She had an innate ability to know when to check in and when to give us space, all while making each dish sound like the most exciting culinary adventure ever. As for the food? It was divine! Every bite was an explosion of flavor, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. I m talking food so good, it makes you rethink everything youve ever eaten before. In short, if you havent been to Palazzo Salato yet, book a table ASAP. And if you re lucky enough to have Scarlett as your server, prepare for a dining experience you won t forget!

We really enjoyed our night out at palazzo. The venue is gorgeous. The staff were very attentive, caring and friendly. Food is incredible, good quality. One thing to consider when you order is that the serves for pasta are quite small, but worth it!!

First time visiting Palazzo Salato and after hearing so many positive reports from friends, it absolutely delivered! We had a beautiful table near the front and from the moment we sat down, had excellent service and recommendations from the food to the wine. The spanner crab pasta and bresaola were standouts but everything was lovely. We weren t hurried out which was appreciated as it seems to be a rarity in Sydney these days. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely LOVE this place. Perfect for a long lunch with the girls or fam. Staff were sooo lovely and accommodating. They even have a sommelier in house to help you find the perfect wine. Food was 10/10. Set menus for groups of 6+ but everything was fabulous. Will definitely be back!

Amazing food, amazing service! Our host (I forgot her name but she was from Marseille) was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, very personable, excellent food knowledge and superb service skills. Our whole experience was top notch. I highly recommend the Tathra Place duck, the beef crudo and the salted dark chocolate tart. All the pastas we had were beautiful as well, you cannot go wrong. I look forward to visiting Palazzo Salato again soon!

All the pastas were great but the truffle gnocchi was definitely a stand out dish, we had to order a second serve as our group was sharing one. The steak and duck were also delicious. Looking forward to coming back for new dishes and hopefully more truffle gnocchi.

Attitude and personality of our waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating. I struggle with a lot of food intolerances and made sure I was still able to get an amazing dish that wasn t just a lousy appetizer. He made us feel very comfortable. The food was amazing. Somehow their gluten free pasta tasted like normal pasta and was fantastic. The appetizers were also so delicious and all the flavours worked so well together. The atmosphere is much more suited I think to a date or more personal outings. The price is higher but I think what you get is well worth it.

All the food was great. Pasta is made in house and the truffle gnocchi was the stand out. The marron was perfectly cooked. Can t fault any of the food. Service was excellent with very attentive staff. Leave room for dessert and the rice pudding with pistachio ice cream was delicious. Impressive wine list to match.

I recently visited with some friends for the first time, and the food was truly amazing. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. However, the customer service really let us down. I get that theres a two-hour limit for bookings, but when I asked for another glass of wine with 30 minutes left, the server questioned if I could finish it in time. It felt pretty rude and unnecessary. Even though the food was great, the service was a dealbreaker for us. We probably wont be going back, which is a shame.

Went here on Saturday and had the $90 tasting menu for lunch. From start to finish we enjoyed everything on the menu. Portion size was just right for the number of courses. Staff were friendly and helpful while not being obtrusive. The chocolate tart was to die for!

I was here in a business lunch, so I didnt pay, but the food was delicious, and the service was great. I was here from just after mid-day and I didnt leave until 6pm. The atmosphere at lunch time is perfect for business meeting. We also got the opportunity to see the dinner crowd and spotted various groups of friends dinning together, the place just has a good atmosphere.

The food, service and the atmosphere. I had such a great time at palazzo Salato. Food was top notch, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Just loved every aspect of the experience! Unfortunately the food was overpriced, and all dishes were underwhelming. The duck was definitely below average, in addition to the Cappelletti of broccoli, chilli oil, watercress sauce which only had 7 pieces in it (as a main). Again, lacking flavour. Overall our mains lacked flavour and our entrees were also average and so overpriced (ham, anchovy entrees). The bill was just under $200 in addition to having a red wine and ginger beer. Having been once before, this was by far the most disappointing

This place is racist at its finest and white superior. They give tables to Asian guests right next to the toilet. When we arrived, we observed all the Asians were seated next to the bathroom area and all the white people were seated in the nicer centre area, it s like the movie Snowpiercer, where people are categorised and separated into different classes and treated differently. I ve been to the best fine dining restaurants in town, oncore by Clare Smyth, Catalina rose bay, Aria, Yoshii s and such, never been treated like I m a second class citizen, but Palazzo Salato is where I feel the worst and they are just a regular street corner restaurant in my best opinion but they served food to us with a fairly terrible attitude unfortunately, and we also had food poisoning.

Waiter was prompt and lovely. The food however was underwhelming. Small portioned and well and truly overpriced by some margin. The black truffle gnocchi lacked any flavour of black truffle and more akin to summer truffle. Sadly our first and last visit to palazzo Salato

Excellent food and service from the team at Palazzo Salato for a work event of 40+. Everyone was very accommodating to our budget, communications beforehand were always welcome/timely and the alternatives for dietary requirements were really well considered. Would definitely dine there again!!

Went here for my Husband s birthday and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the flat iron steak, potatoes, and spaghetti with the mussel ragu- all extremely delicious. Definitely on the pricier side but I would say well worth it for a special occasion

The atmosphere, the service (!!!), and of course the food and drinks were all exceptional. Would highly recommend doing the wine pairing. The fish of the day (rainbow trout on the day we went) was by far the standout dish, but we enjoyed everything we ate

All the pasta dishes were amazing, but the truffle gnocchi was the star of the meal. We loved it so much that we had to get a second serving. The steak and duck were also top-notch. Excited to come back and explore more of the menu, with another helping of that incredible truffle gnocchi!

Absolutely unreal! Went last night 22/08. Totally blown away. Has a low-key New York City feel about it. The head chef claps when food is ready for waiters to take instead of ringing a bell. Do yourself a favour and get the Warm Rice Pudding with Pistachio gelato. AMAZING. Will be back.

Monday night isnt a night for a lot of restaurants are open (everyone needs a night off), but lucky for us Palazzo was! Group team dinner of 10 and was just amazing from start to finish! Staff, food, wine, atmosphere you name it, they nailed it!

What can I say nothing to fault. Amazing service from Jacob, food that is to die for (I had the kingfish/gnocchi and caramel tart) and lovely atmosphere. If you are a goodie do not miss this place a perfect 10

It was my first time to have dinner here with my family. The spanner crab malfadene was not as people had hyped it up. The sauce was watery, the pasta tasted like it was store bought and there was no crab, just a sprinkling of crab dust. The dessert was the hero on our night. The caramel tart was smooth and very well balanced. Food

I could not fault our experience, from making the reservation for a business dinner to the whole experience, I couldnt recommend this more highly.

The food is super good. A specially the service. We may have order the wrong food. But the waiter just helped to order the correct one for us. And we just find the food order accidentally super yummy also. We must come back for the yummy food when we come to Sydney. Thanks to Tim, the super kind waiter!

Was quite underwhelmed with the food, having been looking forward to coming here based on reviews and great experience at Ragazzi. The entree marron was bordering on cold and for $52 quite unacceptable. For main we were given the incorrect pasta and when the agnolotti we ordered did arrive, it also was cold and tasteless. All in all the food was heavily salted and badly presented apart from the flat iron steak, which was accompanied by a lovely anchovy butter. Our waiter was nonetheless very attentive!

Wow! Incredible food, atmosphere was phenomenal, the venue is lovely, but the service was next level. Everyone was so lovely, and made the overall experience so enjoyable. The waitress was lovely, and they paid such attention to detail. They noticed it was my partners birthday without prompting, or it being mentioned. They brought out our (amazingly delicious) dessert with a candle, and made her feel very special. Even further above and beyond was the sommelier. She made an absolutely banging recommendation, and shared some great insight, personal connection, and background knowledge which just elevated it. Nailed the brief we gave, and then added all of that again. 11/10, props to everyone!

Id definitely go for the 120 menu instead of the 90 one given the appetizers and the pastas were the star of the show. The steak on the other hand was decent but nothing to write home about.

From the moment my husband & I walked into Palazzo Salato we knew it was going to be a memorable evening. Friendly, attentive staff, beautiful decor & delicious food.

We were visiting from Adelaide, and this was the highlight of our trip! The staff were so warm, my severe allergies were catered to and we felt very welcome. What a beautiful establishment, the meal and entire experience was perfect. That mussel ragu will forever be in my dreams, we cannot wait to visit again one day!

My wife and I have eaten at Palazzo Salato multiple times now, and have had a wonderful experience on each occasion. The restaurant has consistently delivered delicious food in every course, warm service and a very inviting atmosphere. Both for locals and for overseas guests, its a terrific taste of Sydney and highly recommended!

Highly recommend this restaurant, one of the best pastas I have had in Sydney. They were also super helpful in making some options suitable for a vegetarian. The atmosphere was pumping and the service was fantastic. Can t wait to return.

The food was lovely, and our server was absolutely delightful. Dietary restrictions: We ordered the set menu for six people, and the restaurant was very accommodating in catering to a dairy intolerance when we arrived, even though I should have mentioned it when I made the reservation.

Went here for a friend s birthday and it was the best Italian restaurant I have gone in Sydney. Everything was perfect, the drinks, the food, the atmosphere. Even the sourdough. Mwah. Chef s kisses. If I had to choose my favourite, it would be the malfadene. That dish was so delicious, definitely a 10/10. I would have eaten three plates if I could. Honestly everything we ordered here was perfect. Trust me this restaurant is a must visit and I hope everyone that comes here experiences what I did.

Beautiful decor and atmosphere. The staff provided great service on the night which made it more enjoyable. The oysters were standard. I usually don t like anchovies but I feel like it complemented the stracciatella very well The beef tartare was also a must order! I liked the egg yolk with it super yum! I would skip the spaghetti alla chittara if I was to return. But I loved the flat iron steak and the mafaldine and would definitely reorder if I came back. The portions for the main were small so perfect for small groups or between couples but would recommend ordering a few more for larger groups. We had three people with us and we were quite full!! I forgot the name of the dessert we had but it had pear and cream. So creamy yet refreshing! I loved it and highly recommend!

We had a lovely dinner as a family of four to celebrate a birthday. The team were lovely and very attentive. If we need something there was always someone to ask. The kids enjoyed all the food and wanted more so the speedy service was much appreciated! The dish (kingfish crudo) was even cut into smaller pieces for easier sharing for us. A good selection of minimal intervention wine by the glass if you don t want to commit to a whole bottle. The pastas were excellent! The prawn one a winner and the mussel ragu too. Such a treat to have fresh pasta, they were all done very well. The kids also hoovered up the steak! Thank you for a lovely evening. We were done in 90 mins which is what you need sometimes. I only managed one photo as we were too busy eating.

Went there for my fathers birthday. The food was delicious, but what was more delightful than the food was the service. Particularly the blonde haired lady who was waiting us. Extremely attentive, cheery and polite. Thank you for your service!

From the minute I walked through the doors, I knew this was my new place. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious. We were seated at a lovely window table which I really enjoyed. Next came the service which was exemplary. We had eaten at another city restaurant the day before and the service was nothing compared to this. Everyone was so friendly and happy and knowledgeable about the menu, particularly Julie who looked after our wine selections. Lastly, the food. Simple yet unbelievably tasty. Food doesn t have to be tricky to be delicious. Every dish was a winner and they just kept getting better and better. We can t wait to come back and I wouldn t hesitate to recommend Palazzo Salato to anyone who is looking for a quick spot of lunch and a glass of wine or along, lazy lunch with friends. Best experience in a long time.

It s been a while since I tried somewhere new that impressed me! Can t fault anything we ordered from here although the highlights for me are the perfectly cooked pork chop and the straciatella anchovy dip for the sourdough. The spaghetti and mafaldine hit the spot too. That lemon grappa gelato also had that zesty zing I was hoping for. It was a full house tonight and I can see why.

Great pastas - completely satisfied our craving for some Italian food. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the tailored wine recommendation. My personal favourite was the mussel ragu spaghetti.

This was my second visit to Palazzo Salato and it was just as delicious as the first time! The team are super friendly and knowledgeable, the food is terrific and fresh. I will dream of the Stracciatella with anchovies!

We dined on a blustery Monday lunch at the recommendation of many city working mates. Everything was spot on-great location, friendly efficient booking process, lovely room/fit out and warm cheerful staff. Our waitress was lovely, very much across the food offerings and impressively wine savvy given her youth. I had a pasta stuffed with crab with a lemon and foie gras sauce which was epic. And generous. My friends both had a pork pasta (men!) and we shared oysters. Everything was of high quality. Very strong wine list too-though we only went by the glass this time. I ll be back for sure

Tripe is the best

Trevally fish (top left) was fresh & remarkably made. Its skin was well-crusted while the meat inside was kept moist. The prosciutto XO sauce was outstanding - flavorful, refreshing, and fragrant. The agnolotti (top right) & mafaldine spanner crab (middle right) was delicious but nothing special. Sourdough was excellent. First plate is free, but the plates requested afterwards will be charged.

Crab Mafaldine is very delicious! I also ordered the special of the day. The shrimp sauce was very rich and I was pleasantly surprised! I especially like this rhubarb dessert, it s very balanced between sweet and sour and very creamy! Service is OK

Amazing modern italian with a beautiful romantic vibe. Every single dish was spectacular (artichoke, truffle gnocchi, brocoli capeleti, pork cotoletta), floor staff was very well trained and we will come back for more. I do recommend the 375ml red wine nebbiolo for a deep fragant pairing.

Good food good service however the place has a lot of echo from the walls. Maybe some sound deadening might work. Entrees and pasta definitely a hit. I think the pasta is the best around sydney. Steak/oysters/bresaola was ok, nothing to shout about. Sauces were on pointe

I have eaten here twice in the last six weeks. The pasta is the go to. It s remarkable. Delicious. Beautifully cooked. Designs and flavours that are less common. Strong recommend!

Great food. Service from some is great but not all waitresses. Insisting on set menu for a group of six is just greedy and not good for business in long term. Mandatory 10% surcharge for six ppl is outrageous and deprives your waitresses of a tip. We won t be back unless management eases on Charging like bulls for small groups.

Beautiful setting, staff, wine and food! Highly recommend a meal there. We had the crab pasta, special gnocci and straticella entree which were all amazing.

I wish the rating system would let me give 4.5*. We had a wonderful dinner experience. Both our waitress and the first Somm were brilliant. Marks deducted for service though as the third bottle of wine we ordered (which wasnt inexpensive) wasnt opened at the table, and it was brought to a table by a different waitress and simply poured into existing wine glasses which still contained wine.
