O Bar and Dining in Sydney

We went there for a birthday and had the silver experience. The food was tasteless and I almost broke a tooth with uncooked rice. The cod in the main course tasted absolutely nothing and was overcooked. The dessert we wanted was no longer available. We ordered something else and waited 40 minutes to receive it. Like the rest of the meal, the desserts were not very good. To make up for it, the manager gifted us chocolate truffles. The truffles were included in our experience so we paid for them. The service left much to be desired. The waitress was never able to answer our questions regarding food or wine choices. My water glass was refilled once during the entire meal. The view was beautiful. In summary, for a bill of almost $500, it is absolutely not worth the price. Very disappointing evening.

The views from the 46th are amazing. The restaurant floor moves, so you have a 360° view of Sydney. All the staff is extremely professional. They are very kind and helpful. The food is very good. Standard portions for a fine dining restaurant. It is perfect for special occasions and celebrations.

The view is, of course, glorious. My lamb rump was over salted & disappointing. Prices have jumped a lot since I came last. $26 or more for an appetizer, $45 at least for a main. They charged us $5 each for table water. Not rushing back. $180 for 2 courses each, & one drink. Food

Fabulous plant based menu and service

Really great food (5 course taster menu plus the additional duck course was enough!) and the views were amazing - cant fault the ambience and would happily come back. Only thing that was disappointing was that despite marking the dinner reservation as a Birthday dinner, we missed out on the birthday treat that fine-dining restaurants usually provide.

Most perfect date night stop. Filippo was the best waiter. Highly recommend the pork belly and steak tartare and lamp main! The white chocolate dessert was sensational too! Views ambiance were 10/10

It was a wonderful lunch, our client from New Zealand and her team from Sydney were super impressed, they loved everything about the whole experience, the staff, the food and the amazing views. Came with my wife and I must say, the food is excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. Would recommend except for the fact that the service was average and the hidden fees that really slap you as youre leaving. It took ages for us to get served and we struggled to get a server to notice for more drinks. I understand they were busy but still, it was very noticeable. What really annoyed me and thus the 1 star review was that they just automatically apply a 7.5% Gratuity to your final bill at the end. This is ridiculous. This is not the USA, stop forcing me to tip to account for you not paying your staff better. The food is already quite pricey so this was definitely something that we noticed. This was further exacerbated by the fact that the service was in fact not great. It really put a downer on the end of the night. Really frustrating and we probably wont be back.

Incredible experience with the view of Sydney! The good was also really good, but I was expecting a little bit more flavour in each dish.

Lucky this thing spins otherwise there are no redeeming qualities. Poor service - constantly neglected, they wouldnt even bring out water for the table. Despite being an early dinner booking, they were sold out of what we wanted on their dinner menu. Paid for the premium experience but was far from any actual premium offering. They tried sitting us in the lounge instead of the restaurant and claimed it was the same thing. Food was average at best and not what you should get for $220+ per person. An ordinary steakhouse would put up better food for half the price. Dont waste your time or money, find somewhere else to go.

Great place with amazing cocktails

Everything are wonderful, especially the waiter who served well. And the meals are really tasty.

We were excited to visit O Bar and its rotating restaurant, which offered a lovely vibe and environment. However, the service left much to be desired. Our waiter seemed rushed, juggling tables, and completely forgot the drinks we ordered. Another staff member eventually came to retake our order. The waiter didn t introduce himself until the very end, seemingly just to request reviews. The food was a mixed experience. The oysters were delightful, and the smoked pork belly was excellent. However, the cold-smoked duck was average, and the steak tartare was overly salty and not up to par. The sweet potato fries were particularly disappointing over-fried, excessively hard, and difficult to eat. On the bright side, we did enjoy the main course.

I was simply blown away by everyaspect of O Bar.

Our waitress Thais was excellent. She was friendly and professional, making sure all of our needs were met and consistently checked in to make sure we were having a great time and enough to drink. Would definitely come back.

Great quality drinks and food, top shelf and prices to match be fairly warned. Rotating restaurant/bar, quite unique and classy for special events.

Very disappointed with our meal and service here last night. Our main dishes were served without our sides, as our waited had forgot to put them through. We were rushed through the service and the food was sub par for the costs charged. Just to top it off, we had already spent a considerably amount in their bar and restaurant and they charged us an additional cost for serving tap water.

You do this for the experience, not the cuisine. Service was excellent and we loved the revolving floor but in terms of fine dining it didnt really hit the mark and was extremely expensive relative to the quality. But we enjoyed our evening nonetheless.

We were visiting from New Zealand on our wedding anniversary the first night then returned another night to revisit the atmosphere. Great place, the Pino Collatas and lobster (crayfish) were very special. Great views and great lighting to allow photos. I suggest you book in advance as its very popular.

Its a best place

I visited the place twice in a month. Back to back birthday celebrations with my best mate. First was excellent which led me to recommend another group of mates. Unfortunately the 2nd time, the pork belly was chewy, so was the lamb shoulder. The dessert was hitting the right chord and was incredible. The consistency was not there.

This will definitely be a regular spot for me from now on. The customer service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I even proposed to my now-fiancée here, and they were incredibly accommodating. Thank you all!

If you want a dinner with a breathtaking view over the whole of Sydney, go to this restaurant. The tables go all around the room allowing you to see Sydney in 360 degrees, the movement is imperceptible, you dont even notice it. Basic 2-course menu $108 each, excluding desserts and drinks. We ate very well, you can find the menu on their website. We were also lucky enough to meet Filippo, a very professional Italian waiter, who followed us throughout the dinner, helping us with the choice of dishes. Our dinner couldnt have gone any better. An experience that we will carry forever in our hearts

It was one of the most expensive dinner I ever had, with 3 course meal plus service charge as well as sunday surcharge. However it was a good experience with the scenery of all the way around Sydney in the beautiful summer evening. Food was beautiful too, not too experimental but not too ordinary. Good portion size, not too much but too tiny. The service was good too.

The service, venue and view are amazing. Food was ok but not incredible.

We had an amazing meal and great waiters, however, we still had a small amount of wine left in our bottle at the end of our meal, which we took with us. We went into the bathroom before leaving, we were then chased into the bathroom and yelled at about not being able to take the wine with us. We understand why we couldn t take the wine with us, however, the way that they handled it was very unprofessional and has really put me and my wife off going back.

From entree to dessert, eachdish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The creativity in the menu was impressive, and every bite showcased the chef s talent and attention to detail. The diverse menu offered something unique for both me and my partner, and every choice we made was delicious. Even the complimentary birthday dessert was very delectable. It was much appreciated! A truly memorable highlight of the evening was when they brought out the birthday cake for my girl, and sang Happy Birthday to her. Such a thoughtful gesture added a personal touch that made my partner s birthday celebration even more special and created a lasting memory for her. Overall, O Bar and Dining exceeded our expectations in every way. It s a fantastic spot for any special occasion. Stunning location and restaurant, the revolving floor gives you a 360 view of the city skyline. The food was so amazing too! The kingfish entree was some of the freshest sashimi I ve ever had, complemented with some sweet oranges. The lamb spring rolls was spectacular, the flavour kick was unexpected and gave me a pleasant surprise. The mains was equally good - we had the lamb and steak, both were super tender with great flavours. The dessert was amazing too!

The food is delicious, the cocktails on point and they have the best AV team Ive ever worked with. It s clear why we keep coming back year after year. As I saw on SNS, the scenery was very beautiful. It was just in time for sunset and the scenery was spectacular. The food was also delicious. It felt like a bar with a formal atmosphere rather than a place to go for a casual meal. The staff was very courteous, frequently changing dishes and asking if I would like some water.

Came here for a work dinner a few weeks ago and had an espresso martini spilled all over me, my coat, scarf and handbag. It ruined my mood for the evening as I had to sit through dinner with my back and skirt soaked. Food was really mediocre and not worth the price. I was only in Sydney for a few days for business and had to fly to Melbourne the next day - it s winter and I had no coat to wear. They offered to pay for my dry cleaning but the stain on my coat is so bad the dry cleaner wouldn t even take it. I ve emailed them and followed up and have gotten no response. UPDATE: O Bar and Dining has since reached out and reimbursed me. This matter was resolved promptly which I appreciate. Thank you.

Honestly so amazing, from the moment we got there the staff made our night amazing. it was a surprise for my partner and they absolutely over delivered. Had the fine dining experience with the wine pairing and would recommend it to everyone. Every piece of food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing but most of all the service was incredible.

This is our first time dining at O Bar for my wifes birthday. Overall, we had a pretty good experience. The food was amazing and ambience was great. Could have given a 5 star but we didnt like some of the service given by one of the wait staff (Cardim?). He seemed to be rushing us with our food. At one point he asked 3 times if we are done with the mains and we have told him our son is still eating his food and the chips. There was about half of the plate left with chips and we want to finish it all but on the 3rd time he asked us, he did not wait for our response and just took away my sons plate and the chips too. He also keep on mumbling about how we have swapped seats around (to get a better photo and to hide from the sun) and that it confuses him in serving the food. We find it very unprofessional to say the least. One of the food servers was great though (Mark) as he accommodated us better than Cardim (even if Cardim was our main waiter). He even asked us if we are celebrating an ocassion and when I told him it was my wifes birthday, he came back later with a surprise birthday cake and a song. The service from Mark makes the experience wonderful. As for Cardim, id say he needed more training on how to make the guests feel special.

I had a dinner reservation here . Me and my partner were completely disappointed and I would never want to tarnish a business but the food was unacceptably bad . We paid $160 for a lobster that wasn t cooked properly. The fish was overcooked and the whole dish tasted like an expensive version of Pad See Ew. Our side of potato s was undercooked and tasteless. Both me and my partner ended up with a case of food poisoning that kicked in as soon as we left the restaurant and were vomiting into the night. It Completely ruined our evening. The service was great however and it is a nice restaurant with fabulous ambience so would be a good place for a cocktail to enjoy the view .But it s unacceptable that we had an almost $700 bill with 90% of the food being a disappointment. I don t believe this restaurant caters to locals because no one that lives locally would return when theres so much more competition in the city serving up amazing food. I ll be sticking with the Merivale and Swillhouse group of restaurants .

O Bar was amazing! The fact that it spins to give you great views is one thing but the staff were really helpful, polite and welcoming. We got the tasting plate consisting of 5 dishes and the duck, pork and crème Brûlée were to die for! Also the mock tails were yum! It was our birthday and they bought out a little dessert with a candle.

The vibe was amazing, bread and entrees were great but the mains and deserts have room to improve ;)

Recently I held a birthday dinner at the private room, Salon Prive of O Bar & Restaurant. Everything was absolute perfection. The food, beverages, venue, the service of the staff, the ambiance, the background music, the event management team who ensured the evening ran smoothly for us. My guests are still talking about how incredible the evening was. I thoroughly recommend O Bar for your future event. You cannot match the spectacular views & ambiance & delectable & visually stunning food & extensive wine list anywhere else but at O Bar.

Such tiny portions. Scallops were burnt, I will attach photos, cocktail was tiny, quarter of a glass size, it was a miniature glass, again I have photos of it in my hand. After each meal, we sat there waiting for the wait staff to take away our places for atleast 20 mins then waited some more time for the next round. Then to top it off they overcharged us on my drink by a few dollars, I showed the waiter and he fixed the price to the correct amount my drink was priced at, but again no apology. Very disappointing night.

Restaurant, gastronomic, of very very good quality, welcome, perhaps a little cold at first but largely made up for by Karim our butler, we started the aperitif in the Lounge area. Bar we were a little ahead of our reservation schedule. Dinner was perfect with an incredible view of Sydney. No complaints about the service. He was exemplary. I wouldnt give it a five for the atmosphere because the music can be a little too loud, and not necessarily suited to this kind of hushed uprightness. I will return there without any problem

9th August 2024 - Dinner How can you not score this restaurant with 5 stars. The experience is fantastic... beautiful sites of surrounding Sydney CBD whilst dining on some delicious and well plated food. The service was just incredible. Attention to detail and always willing to be of assistance. At first I was concerned about the low lighting at the table (its an age thing) but then any increase in the lighting would only distract from the amazing views. We pre-purchased the Silver Package and was not disappointed. Whilst a little more costly than we are used to, it was certainly worth the money in all aspects, especially the experience of a revolving restaurant. Special mention to the amazing Cafe Negroni cocktail that I enjoyed before my meal - delicous

Absolute stunner of a fine dining restaurant! I took my boyfriend here to spoil him, and O Bar went above and beyond our expectations. The food is highly delectable and carefully crafted with the perfect balance of flavour richness and aesthetic appeal. I highly recommend trying the Three Course meals, as the dessert is mouth-watering. On top of the food, the scenic view of Sydney city (particularly during Vivid period) is so gorgeous to look at whilst enjoying your food. The revolving restaurant and city lights added so much to the already enhanced experience. Words cant describe how much my partner and I loved the whole dine-in experience here. 5/5 - Would highly recommend O Bar & Dining if you would like to spoil your loved one/s!

I went with a group of more than 30 tourists, people wanted to have a drink or two and pay for it , the staff didn t allow us, they wanted just one person per table to pay for ALL the drinks , I don t understand it would have been so easy to take the drink order and swipe the person credit card , that s all. We had a Pre fixed menu paid in advance so it would ve been just the drinks . In conclusion most of people didn t order drinks, including me, because they didn t want to be the one who has to pay for everyone else s. Also staff arranged the tables so close to each other that for them to serve us they needed to keep asking the guests who were sitting to move forward, many times . For an expensive restaurant like that the service should be much better.

Tried their silver experience for my wife s birthday. Entree and main were good considering restaus with great views usually have so-so food. Didnt like the dessert tho. Also I was really disappointed that I ve added a note on the booking to do a little something for my wife s greeting. It was a special occasion. A simple dessert with a happy bday note usually will do the trick or some sparks gimmicks atleast but nothing arrived Also their restrooms were dirty In terms of service, the ladies who greets guests were nice and graceful. But the gentleman who was serving us didnt have that premium service feel to it. Will i dine there again? Probably not. Will i recommend? Maybe just a one time experience.

Nice view with abysmal service. Went here tonight to cap off a friends birthday and we were immediately told that there was a $25 minimum spend per person, which was fine. What we were not told until after we had placed our drinks orders is that apparently it had to be $25 minimum per order which we were only told after we ordered when the incredibly rude waitress came over in a tizzy and flat out told us we hadnt met the minimum spend,resulting in all of us having to modify our orders and ending up with drinks we didnt originally want. We were also told we could split the bill which was prefect as I was paying for my friend, only once we went to pay we were told no, apparently the bill can only be split dead in half. Again by the same incredibly rude waitress. We had exactly one drink each and could not wait to be somewhere else. Definitely a one and done for O bar. So yeah, good views but really bad service.

The O Bar Restaurant is truly exceptional! The 360-degree panoramic views of Sydney are absolutely stunning. The cuisine was exquisite, the service exemplary, and the overall atmosphere was just right. A must-visit destination in Sydney! They also added a delightful touch for our anniversary celebration.

Such an amazing place to visit; the view is stunning, inside was spacious, and the food was so delicious. As there were three of us, we tried the plant-based and normal set menu, both were so delicious and very filling, and of great value. Will definitely be adding this place to my list as venues to visit on a Friday night! Vegetarian options: They have a plant based set menu and it was extremely filling with amazing flavours.

I ve been there twice. Once for dinner and it was absolutely amazing experience. Such a cool view over Sydney Harbour. Second time, just for the cocktails Must book in advance though and there is minimum spending of $65pp if you book for bar side with view. Enjoyable experience and good service.

Beautiful spot for cocktails with a view! Looking at the other options I would say it s worth it to pay extra to have a reserved rotating seat by the window for the exceptional views of the city. Only downside is that there is no bridge view but it s certainly a one of a kind view of the opera house. The cocktails were well crafted and service was personable and efficient. Everything is quite expensive but you are paying a premium for the view. We came for some drinks and nibbles before dinner but I probably would ve skipped the nibbles as they re a bit average for the price. You get a lot more value spending your money on the drinks

Food was very average but I guess you are paying for the view. Worth brining friends who are in Sydney for a holiday as the night view is amazing.

Location is absurdly great, the view is astonishing. No complaints about the service. Food is not really good, the price covers the over all experience, food is a bit below average. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift and space for accessibility.

First time dining here and we had great experience. The hostess at the front were very lovely, our waiter was super attentive. Food was great and portions were very generous too. We were super full at the end of the night. It was a 2 hours reservation but we dined for almost 3 hours, we got to enjoy the food and views without feeling like we were being rushed. Didn t expect anything for a birthday celebration but we ve got some treats from the restaurant which was nice and unexpected. Overall we had great time and this is probably one of the best fine dining restaurants in Sydney we ve tried so far and will absolutely be back.

Great night celebrating a friends birthday. The night was made extra special with the excellent service from our waiter.

Staff is a bit obnoxious, but this is expected in a touristy classy place. We went 4 times and enjoyed the cocktails (try several if you can), the amazing view (it takes less than one jour to do the full 360° turn of the city, and the food is good. Expect higher prices than usual, aligned with the view and the quality of the items served. Quite good for visitors or special events! We could go 3 times without a booking, but one time we had to come back another time. So if youre here for a short time, I recommend booking.

Fabulous views that constantly change as you enjoy your cocktails. Expensive menu to be expected given the premium location. With one exception the staff were trying so hard to be professional that they were almost cold in the interactions with us, their personalities weren t showing. Other than that a great experience.

Lovely food presentation, friendly service ,steak tartare disappointing, had to ask for glasses to be changed,and poured ,they forgot the sides .Considering what we ordered and it wasnt busy ,couldve been better.

I had the most amazing birthday experience thanks to all the staff and the beautiful bar & restaurant!!! I seriously would like to command how amazing each and all of the staff there were. They were so kind, always smiling, and SO considerate of me and my friends needs all the way, from booking until the end of the night! Especially with the booking, I had some issues due to invitee changes and the heavy rain, but they were so understanding and accomodating! I was able to make it into the building without any worries!! I will always be so grateful to their service This restaurant also has beautiful view of the city that you can see in 360 degrees as you know, and it was really fun tracking the movement hahaha Amazingly delicious food, the bar foods had bigger portions than I thought, and I was full by the end of the meal as well. As a Vegetarian, I would recommend the cauliflower menu at the lounge bar. It was DIVINE *chefs kiss* AND they brought me a lovely complimentary birthday cake as well!! Wonderful luncheon experience, food was exceptional and great 360 views of Sydney although the harbour bridge view is now greatly blocked by the Salesforce tower.

Breathtaking view and like someone else said that is about it. I will keep it super short and simple. Service was very slow despite the place being almost empty. Presentation of food was great and that is also about it. Never paid a $780 bill for two people and such poor quality food. Everything except for the oysters we left in the plate. Sorry but never again. Shame we had high hopes for this place. Please close down.

My partner and I decided to celebrate our first anniversary at O Bar and Dining, and while the evening had its ups and downs, the overall experience was pleasant. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, we felt a bit let down by the food package we had set to order. We had ordered 2 dishes from each entree, main, and dessert which also includes bottle of alcohol and box of chocolates. Instead we were told by a lady that their is no longer the option of the bottled alchol due to low demand and so we had orderd two cocktails instead, and in the end we didnt receive our box of chocolate. Despite this, the food we did receive was delicious, and the views from the restaurant were stunning. Overall, while we felt a bit ripped off, we still had a nice time at O Bar and Dining. Recommendation: Double-check your food package and ensure you receive all the promised extras. Enjoy the views and the friendly service!

Overall experience is very good. Roberta is very accommodating and is always ready to assist us. She knows the menu well and patiently explains to us each item and recommends well based on our preference. A good service and experience, will definitely go back.

Amazing view, excellent service and food.

This is a great restaurant to enjoy a meal while enjoying the night view of Sydney. Two people drank 3 glasses of wine for 2 courses and it cost about 267AUD. 2 glasses of different types of Australian red wine and 1 glass of white wine I ordered the red wine and it was great. But the beef I ordered as main It was disappointing because it was a bit tough. There is also a bar so it would be nice to have a drink.

I have to say that the experience was absolutely amazing could not fault it even if I tried the service on the night that we went was so superb. The hostess ladies were the most kind and caring people which is so rare to find these days we dealt with more than one hostess and all of the girls were so lovely.

Second time here. Group of 9 ppl. Nice view, food is ok. But service is so slow. There is only 1 waiter, for about 40 ppl. Around 6 tables. A group of more than 8 need to pay 10% surcharge of servie fee. But we have to wait and wait and no service quality as one person doesnt have the capacity to service 40ppl. The lunch dragged for more than 2 hrs. We even need to wait for more than 10 minutes just to bring us the cake from fridge as it is. Its quite poor arrangement / management from the resturant.
