A New York-inspired seafood Grill and steakhouse in the heart of the CBD.
Came for my husband's 30th bday dinner and had a very good time. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We love a menu with some unique elements. The oysters metropole was quite fun. The anchovy toast was delicious. The off menu burger was very good. The fish of the day was perfectly cooked. The vodka pasta was addictive. The Ceasar salad was an abomination. I liked how they put their own twist on it but the lettuce was so bitter it was also inedible and I miss the croutons instead of the crumb. Overall had a great time. Would return. Drinks also very good Approx $270 for 2 people
The service here was absolutely amazing and the best I’ve received in a while! However the food did not measure up. The oysters were different with the sausage topping , it was just okay nothing too different though. The beef tartare was nice with the egg and the potatoes were nice with it. The clam spaghetti was a little disappointing and didn’t have too much flavour. The vodka macaroni was my favourite dish! Super flavourful and cheesy. The steak was just okay too, nothing too amazing. Overall I expected the food to be a lot better but the service was so good, staff were so friendly and welcoming and smiling!!!
Very welcoming reservation attendant and table service overall. I really enjoyed the busy atmosphere with a blend of local upbeat girl gatherings, professional meetings, romantic dates, and even solo dinners like myself. The food was muah sweet! I tried the endive ceasar salad and the spaghetti with crayfish (or rock lobster?) as the gentleman described to me. Great choice.
Everything was fantastic. The nuoc cham fish sauce blend for the oysters was an amazing appetiser to start our dinner. After the oysters, we moved on to the beef tartare. I remember tasting some pickles in the mix. The beef fat potatoes that comes with the beef tartare is also available as one of your sides for your mains. The beef fat gave the potatoes the richness in flavour. Beef tartare itself was very delicious. The clam pasta, I should say, you must order once you walk into this restaurant. Given the name, I must assume this is one of their signature dish and they did not let me down. I was not expecting for it to be this tasteful. Steak was also cooked to the perfection. Overall very good experience with the food. Delicious
Clam Bar is every bit as delicious as it looks. The service is incredible—the perfect balance of friendly and attentive, which gives the whole place an easygoing warmth. Couldn't have been more accommodating of my gluten free needs. The whole experience was impeccable. Cannot wait to come back.
I went for dinner with a couple I know. The reviews said the customer service was great, but it wasn't. The service was average. Maybe I expected too much... All the meals were delicious♡However, the pasta was not as good as I expected. It felt a bit soggy. Overall I am very satisfied!!
I had an excellent dining experience at the Clam Bar. Every dish was really enjoyable and made to perfection. The Crudo, a selection of Bonito, Tuna, Scallops and diced snapper with seaweed. Very fresh. The Steak Tartare - the tartare was very pleasant, a delicate flavour with the right amount of salt flavour from the anchovies, easy to chew. The beef fat potatoes was a very nice pairing, love the beef fat flavour infusion. -whole John Dory fish, cooked perfectly. - the New York strip with anchovy butter, oh the highlight of the night for me. Cooked at medium rare at perfection, very tender and the anchovy butter is very refined and a great match. -corn and gruyere gratin, sweet and spicy -Negroni - probs one of the smoothest Negronis I’ve ever had. - Creme brûlée - love the glaze on this one. The service was very accomodating and excellent.
Upon entry we were greeted with the warmest welcome. Not the best place to bring your hyped up 19 month however the staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating saying hi to our little one each time they passed. We were seated on a larger table that allowed us room for a stroller. Food was great overall but a let down was the clam pasta which we were looking forward to. The pasta was cooked to perfection however about a third of the clams didn't open up. The standout dishes were the 600g ribeye which was a melt in your mouth experience along with the gruyer and corn and creme brulee.
I visited Clam Bar for dinner last week, initially impressed by the good ambiance. We started with anchovy toasts, which were unexpectedly divine, along with oysters and grilled calamari, both of which were enjoyable. However, the experience took a steep decline from there. For main course, we ordered the restaurant s best steak Ribe Eye , priced at $165 per cut, and their signature Vodka macaroni. The steak was requested medium but arrived medium-rare and stone-cold, as if it had been resting for hours. Additionally, the meat quality was poor, riddled with silverskin an oddity for such a premium-priced cut. The Vodka macaroni, a signature dish, was underwhelming and nothing extraordinary. Dessert was equally disappointing. The $22 banana sundae was essentially a heap of whipped cream on top of a banana gelato and cut up banana bread at the bottom something I could have easily prepared at home. The worst part of the evening came towards the end. After ordering a few drinks to unwind after dinner, the waiter abruptly placed the bill on our table, asking us to pay and leave because management needed the table. This happened despite us having the table for less than two hours, and no prior warning about a time limit. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant was largely empty, with two-thirds of the tables unoccupied. As someone who has frequented this establishment for clients lunches and had positive experiences, this visit was a significant letdown. Such treatment, particularly at a restaurant positioning itself as a fine dining establishment, is unacceptable. This experience has ensured that I will not be returning, nor will I recommend it to others. Sydney s dining scene is competitive, and it s no wonder some establishments don t last poor customer service and prioritizing profit over patron satisfaction drive customers away. Clam Bar has lost my trust and my business.
Food was delicious and cocktails were top notch. Tables are a bit cramped together where we were a bit too close to our neighbors. Also the ambient noise level is pretty loud where it is difficult to follow the conversation at your own table. Service was very smooth and friendly.
Great for a long lunch. Food and service always exceptional!
One of the best seafood restaurant in Sydney. Definitely will be back soon:)
An amazing venue. Wait staff were somewhat cold. It was my friends birthday and I asked a waiter for a surprise cake to be brought out and it never showed up which was awkward. Food was good but nothing spectacular. I d recommend the anchovy toast and the oysters metropole.
Stopped by for lunch. What a great experience. Good food, great advice from sommelier Sam. Would recommend.
Some great dishes here.
Sam. Thank you. Legend.
Food was good. Unfortunately the service was not so good. Our waiter seemed to prefer socialising with the other diners around us than actually providing us service. Part way through taking our order he actually turned away from us to chat to the diners at the table next us to check their order. When we asked for the wine menu to order another drink he again seemed to prefer socialising with the other diners before finally arriving with the wine menu. No sense of urgency given we only have a 2 hour seating window. He then charged an extra bottle of wine that we didnt order to our table. Lucky we double checked our bill. First time dining here - food was delicious, unfortunately the service did not meet the standards expected of a hatted and expensive restaurant which tainted our dining experience here.
Robert and everyone at Clam Bar are amazing. The food is superb, the wine list equally so. We had the best lunch here and will definitely be back next time we are in town. Thank you again!!
Lovely meal - attentive and friendly waitstaff were a highlight. Everything we had was delicious and reasonable for the price. Would recommend.
I have been coming here since the restaurant opened, and have probably been around 10 times. I usually order the steak tartare and the vodka pasta as a side. I went on November 9 at around 12 and was really disappointed with our server and the food. When served the tartare I noticed that it looked (and then tasted) completely different to the past times I had ordered the dish. I asked the server if it was different and she said everything was the same. I then pushed more directly and noted how there was no longer a raw egg. She then said that it was removed because it was an allergen.... Regardless, the differences also did not stop there, this new dish had pecorino cheese all over, smothering the tartare, did not have anchovies and barely any taste of capers. I have photos of the dish that I have taken throughout the many times i have been to the restaurant. The fact that the server did not want to admit anything and had to be pushed to do so was really bad service and she offered no alternative. This restaurant promised so much when it opened and was very well liked but it seems like it is on the steady decline.
Delicious food, professional service from the staffs. Grilled calamari and cheese burgers with the side of macaroni pasta are to die for during lunch. Food
Banging success ! Amazing clam pasta and best potatoes ever
I really enjoyed the corn gratin and spaghetti and crayfish. It was a lovely dining experience overall.
Beautiful nighttime atmosphere. Best part was the service - passionate, warm, attentive!
The atmosphere and vibe was spot on. Food and service was exceptional! They are accomodating for dietary requirements and have so many options for gluten free also.
Slightly sassy staff with slightly sassy menu. Fits the bill for this end of town. Off menu cheeseburger feeds the fantasy too. Seafood tower. Some grilled bits. A bottle of plonk or two. Little sweetie at the end. I love it, just know what you re walking into and you will love it too. A wanky treat
Had an absolutely amazing experience dining at Clam Bar. The NY strip steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had - perfectly cooked and was melt in your mouth. Also highly recommend the spaghetti with clams!
Good job Rob!
Great restaurant. Service is incredible, and the food is delectable. We arrived early for our reservation and they seated us without issue. Definitely recommend!
You come for the food, and stay for the service. Hats off (and add it to the 2 hats this restaurant already has) to the crew on the night of Friday 4th Otcober. Thank you for making us feel like we were the only people in the room. Dirk and the team, well done.
Good old fashioned steahouse
Seriously excellent. The Gruyère corn something was divine!
Always great, never disappoints. Best martini s in Sydney
Fabulous setting, stylish, but not shouting to the eyes. Food and wine selection excellent. Service attentive, but you notice the difference between the trained and experienced specialists and the rest of the crew.
Food was great, dessert was spectacular! Staff was very attentative, however service was a little slow. Highlight of the night was the coconut blini and caviar - what a combo
Influencers with iPhones on other tables killed the vibe.
Loved my whole experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service even better. As I was dining solo, the staff were so kind and accomodating and took such great care of me! I couldn t recommend it more! I will definitely be back. Dietary restrictions: Very accomodating with dietary restrictions!
It was perfect dishes and service. I had been enjoyed all of dishes. If you are planning to visit this restaurant, you must try Crudo, Calamari and Steak. And I tried to Parker house roll with truffle butter, It was wonderful. I definately sure, this restaurant is one of the best restuarant in Sydney.
Very attractive seafood and steak bistrot, with wonderful oysters and great meat (tartare and ribeye were outstanding). Very helpful and professional service (Thanks Davin). Eclectic wine list. Just a little noisy but compensated by a real feel-good athmosphere.
Great food, anchovy toast, oysters hollandaise and crudo were highlights.
The food was fabulous. The hot collars, lamb chop, strip steak and beef fat potatoes were all divine. Had the best banana split ever. The service was faultless.
Good dinner however gristle meat which the Chef explained by being marble 9 Service uptight (except the sommelier). Very disappointing when you spend $250 per person. Food
Everything we ve had is always good but I LOVE their burger. The service is very personal and attention to detail is great.
**Exceptional dining experience!** From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the service and atmosphere. Special shout-out to Sam, who made our evening even more memorable! The food was simply amazing both the T-bone steak and vodka macaroni were a perfect 10/10. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic night out in Sydney. Cant wait to return!
+ Friendly service + Candlelit, romantic atmosphere + Steak was perfectly tender and flavoured + Clam pasta was simple but delicious. The pasta was silky and had delicate flavour. + Most of their meats are halal - Portions are so small and the cost of each dish is very overpriced. Compared to other upmarket restaurants, Clam Bar wasnt value for money. Recommend managing your expectations before visiting.
Fantastic food. But the real highlight has to be the margaritas - hands down the best I ve ever had!
The famous cheese burger didnt disappoint.
Always incredible! Sam, one of the waiters is absolutely divine! Was attentive, knew the answers to any questions we asked and on top of that, so friendly. Food as always, spectacular! So thank you Sam and thank you Clam Bar
Catch up lunch on a cloudy afternoon.
We booked this place for a birthday dinner in the hopes we would have a fantastic experience - sadly, this was far from true. The issues began as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. It was a weekday evening and the clientele were predominantly men in suits who seemed to have come from the banking district nearby. One of these men was stood behind us as we waited to be shown to our table. Just as we were about to be greeted, the maître d purposely swerved us and greeted the man in the suit behind us. Unfortunately, this predisposition for the servers to favour pretentiousness continued throughout the evening. Such behaviour has cultivated an unpleasant culinary experience which is a shame as the food itself was delightful. For example, unlike other tables, servers did not offer to take our coats, nor did they explain the specials or entertain conversation with the same enthusiasm compared to when serving tables with particular clientele. We ve been fortunate to eat at fantastic restaurants worldwide but have seldom received such poor service. Clam Bar should note that there is absolutely no room for elitism in hospitality - every paying customer, regardless of whether they visit for a special occasion or are regulars, deserves to be treated with an equal level of respect and consideration. We will not be returning.
My experience here was great. The staff were very attentive and I got to say whoever is in charge has trained the staff well. Their suggestions were on point. Everyone was friendly, we were asked several times if we needed anything. Apart from the service stand out dishes are the sausage and oyster dish, the rib eye and the burger!!! All easy 9.5/10 dishes Robert, Mitch and Douglas took care of us they all smashed it. I work in hospitality myself they are great
Happy . The cheese presentation was unexpected and very good.
I went there for lunch. The popular cheeseburger was very delicious with a good balance of patty, bun, and cheese. The pasta had a rich taste and plenty of clams, and the noodles were al dente, so it was a satisfying dish in terms of taste. I think it would be better if there were a little more noodles. I was surprised that it cost $80 per person for lunch and two drinks.
Wonderful. Just like what you would expect!
Every meal we ordered was exceptional. The service even better ! Will definitely be back .
Amazing food and service. Highly recommended.
Good service and even better atmosphere! Highlight was the macaroni alla vodka and spicy margs! Steak was burnt on the outside and spaghetti crayfish was bland. Food
Everything was exceptional. Every dish we ordered was delicious, the service was incredible with such lovely staff and you can t beat the atmosphere
Pretty delicious, I m under the impression you can t go wrong with anything you order here. The burger was fantastic, not sure if I d call it the best in Sydney as they claim but it s better than most. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and my girlfriend said her pasta was almost as good as mine, so it must be pretty top notch. Pretty cosy and intimate atmosphere, it was very welcoming as were the staff. Would I come back? Absolutely!
Everything was exceptional with great atmosphere
Food and services were great, will definitely be back.
As it should be . Attention to detail on point
Great location and atmosphere. Very simple food with great ingredients, well put together. But was disappointed to order the a anchovies starter which came out still in the can with 3 bits of toast. Cost $30+ for the dish and the same anchovies cost $12 in Woolies.
Vegetarian options: Dont hold your breath. Wheelchair accessibility: Small step wide door Food : 5/5 |
Steaks here are absolute killer
We had dinner at this popular restaurant during our Vivid staycation. I know it is popular because the only booking we can get is either 5:15 or 9:30pm and a time limit for next seating as well. The first impression is great. Cosy space with themed decor. Even at 5:15, the room is already half full and it fills up very steadily. The food is indeed very good. Tasty and delivers exactly what is said on the menu. Service is very professional. You know the staff have been working in the industry for some time. They know their trade. They are tested when the room is full. It is an intricate dance. The ambiance is very cosy and it does take mood lighting to the extreme. This is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it is moody and you are transported to a different space. However, it also lost some minor points as well. First of all, it is so dark that you cant see what you are eating. Sure, you can tell you are eating fish or pasta but when my companion digs into her mushroom entree, she couldnt tell what she was eating until I showed her the enhanced photo of the dish on my phone. Ditto, Im sure my scallops entree was burnt on top but everything was just black. Both dishes were tasty but it is counterintuitive to the adage you eat with your eyes. Other issue is the noise level in the restaurant steadily rose as the night wore on. There is literally a buzz. Towards the end, I had to raise my voice to make sure the wait staff understands my order. It makes it hard to have a romantic conversation across the table. Finally, the value question is a bit complex. We had 3 courses (1 shared dessert) and very moderate drinking. It came to just over $150pp. For me, thats on the boundary between reasonable and wow. It was worth it but Id be happier if the issue with the lighting and noise level wasnt there.
Brilliant food including very fresh & well-prepared seafood, excellent service, and nice ambience. Highly recommended
Great service from attentive waiting staff! Oysters were fresh (chef s kiss) And this was one of the best steaks I had! Clam spaghetti was okay.. Cool vibe and mood, perfect for date night, girls night, and or bros night.
Whilst clam bar has a good atmosphere and the wait staff do an impeccable job. Unfortunately the food was mediocre, we ordered the crudo, steak tartare, clam spaghetti and New York strip with a side of greens. This was a very different experience from what other reviews mentioned. The fish and spaghetti were extremely fishy and my partner got very sick afterwards. The food is cooked with a lot a butter and it s quite confusing if this restaurant is French with a seaweed influence as everything has seaweed in it even the butter. Over all I wouldn t visit again, which is a shame as the atmosphere and staff are lovely.
Had a great night at Clam Bar. Fantastic cosy clubby room, good food and exceptional service. Our sommelier was both knowledgeable and fun, when I asked for his name for the review he graciously said, you were served by three people and gave me their names before I asked again for his. Robert, thank you for a great evening.
Really enjoyed our experience. I personally had the coral trout which was divine! The Caesar was nice and so was the wine selection. Only disappointment was the calamari, found it undercooked. The service was one of the best Ive experienced in Sydney. The cheeseburger looked amazing!
In my household there s been a fair bit of hype about Clam Bar. I totally get it. It s a smallish restaurant, fantastic atmosphere. Great old school Latino music in the background. Attentive staff and outstanding food. We started with oysters metropole. Sydney Rock Oysters with chipoliatas. The pork sausage works perfectly with the oyster. I guess a take on oysters Kilpatrick. Next we had the spaghetti with clam. Please don t go past this. It s sensational. We then had NY steak with béarnaise sauce. Our sides were fries and corn with Gruyère cheese a special mention for this dish. It s sublime, I could eat this on its own and be incredibly happy. To end we had the creme brulee. An outstanding meal. So thank you.
Very disappointing. The reviews looked very positive but didn t live up to them. The menu is extremely limited on main course choices. Appetisers were ok, oysters and poke bowl, but main course was terrible and service poor. The trevally special was good but the Boston Cut steak, ordered medium, came out rare with some charring on the perimeter. The 2 sides, spinach and fries, tasted great but were delivered 10 minutes after the main was served. This place definitely does not deserve its 4+ rating.
Had a wonderful night out, food & staff were great. Not inexpensive, but worth it. Enviable wine list, knowledgeable somm
The waitstaff are fabulous Hamburger medium/rare probably more rare but delicious Food
A very New York vibe. Had a great table and wonderful hosts. The food was amazing, along with the cocktail and wine menu. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely beautiful food/gr8t service & unforgettable experience!! Can t wait 2 go back again!! Food : 5/5
Get the burger! Surface was great very friendly. Everything was good.
Great food and service. Highly recommend
Sasha was our Server. She was assisted by others. We are experienced diners and dine out very often. The food was excellent here. We had a LOT of dishes and enjoyed the variety! Very unique and interesting preparation and tastes. The calamari, and the pork chop stood out. Our family of 4 so enjoyed it! Were considering going AGAIN tonight it was so great, Sasha was friendly, attentive and a professional. Very gracious and took great care of us.
Booked this 3 months in advance for my birthday. 6pm booking. I only booked as I am obsessed with cheeseburgers - arrived and told that (with only 4 mains) that at 6pm on a Wednesday NO cheeseburgers left - should have walked out - so paid a fortune for food I didn t really want - and to make things worse we saw cheeseburgers come out even though they said none left - wow. Just really upsetting.
Everyone told me this was the hot new spot of Sydney but I was disappointed as the food was not up to standard especially for the price point. We came here for lunch and between the two of us, we shared the bread and kelp butter, oysters casino (ok but wouldnt recommend), crab gratin (the curry flavour was not expected and didnt work for me), spaghetti and clams (the sauce was overly watery and not emulsified with an excess of butter and lemon causing an unbalanced flavour) and the cheeseburger (really good, the best thing out of what we ordered) and the tomato (good for a side). Given we spent $121 each, Id expect all the dishes to be executed better. The service was attentive with constant water top ups but it wasnt overly friendly.
I came here in November before and was super impressed by their clam spaghetti. This time I came with such high expectation but the pasta seemed to be less flavourful than before. Nonetheless the service here was good as usual, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. Worth trying at least once.
I mean, bruh.. this place is phenomenal. The lads did it again. Couldn t be happier with out experience. I ll let the photos do the talking when it comes to what we ordered, but one shout out was the service. I LOVE a waiter that actually has recommendations/input when we ask what their favourite is. Not the well it s all good or depends what you feel like . So yeah, everything was great, but the services was incredible as well.
Exceptional culinary creativity meets elegant ambiance at Clam Bar. From the moment you step through the door, youre enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and innovation. Each dish is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients and presented with flair. The menu tantalizes the senses with a fusion of flavors and textures, showcasing the chefs ingenuity and dedication to culinary excellence. The service is impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who guide you through the dining experience with grace and warmth. Whether youre a seasoned food connoisseur or an adventurous diner, Clam Bar promises to delight your palate and exceed your expectations. They said the burger was to die for and they were not wrong. It was the show stopper!!!! We ordered 3. A truly memorable dining experience. Clam Bar elevates every moment into a culinary journey you wont soon forget. Prepare to be thoroughly fulfilled and satisfied.
Great food and good service. Price is reasonable, booking before going because it s very popular during weekday lunch hours.
I visited Clam Bar last Friday for a milestone Birthday and we had the most wonderful time, the food, ambiance, service was immaculate. We had the honour of being serenaded with a Birthday song by the Lovely David , could not have had a better dinner. Thank you for making our visit so wonderful. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we ve had.
What a fabulous venue to dine at. Beautifully decked out with 1920s glamour (check out the clam lights), you will be taken into an old school world where the food is delightful, the staff simply sensational. We note that we were very well taken care of by Maree, whose attention to detail was out of this world (eg. at one point one of the plates was just a little further away from me and she took to adjust that, at another she asked if it was ok that I had clams for an entree and a main because your average person might get sick of so many clams). We had the clam frites which I adored; it was juicy the sauce was just something else - lightly sweet with loads of depth and green notes. I had the spaghetti and clams and whilst it was too soft for me it wasn t soggy (would have liked more al denté). The steak was great, and so was the cabbage. The bread with that special butter, crème brûlée and the chocolate cake dessert were all spot on. We don t drink and so the mocktail we ordered was also great. All in all, a sweet, sweet afternoon spent here, with beautiful food. Will be back soon.
Superb evening out. One must try the clam spaghetti, potatoes and cheeseburger.
We had a great lunch here today! The food was delish and the service was very attentive and personable. We went with the reviews and ordered the cheeseburger and clam pasta - the reviews were right! Amazing! Cocktails a little pricey for the size of the glass but very tasty.
Glam room, sham food is a cruel way to describe any meal. But when Im looking forward to it this much, disappointment is as deflating as a tyre slasher. Keep in mind that places like Cafe paci rate 5* in my book. Alarm bells ring with cafe service starting the experience, ans it slides from there. Theres no guidance, thoughtfulness or holistic experience or sales work here...as opposed to the service I just left at a cafe that cared beyond the call. Not even the ubiquitous have you dined here before and nothing to help us with appetiser choices beyond the script. So we wound up with just mains. And you can see from the photos that our whelmed was definitely under. The sides were woeful. Charred cabbage had all the palate character of the raw material. The char has what kind of wood? Impossible to say...some sherry vinegar or anything would have been welcome..but no. The spinach was a disastrous gloop, where the thickening had been taken to the stage a bricky would recognise. The dessert had all the form of a 1 year olds breakfast, save the occasional shards. It really was an indistinguishable mess. Meal check? What meal check? You have choices. I suggest you exercise them.
Excellent Service & Amazing Meals. Reasonable Prices for a High End Establishment
Dinned here here on a school night. First we ordered a selection of the oysters that were baked. It was nice that the waiter pointed out that they were baked and not served fresh. It was the first time trying this style (except killpatrick) and it was interesting. I would eat it again. We then ordered the Tuna poke and beef tartare. Similar textures so I wouldnt order both these dishes at the same time. I am leaning towards the tuna more as it has truffle which I havent noticed this combo before. The steak was served which came out rare like we ordered but there is room for improvement. This dish didnt hit the spot for me unfortunately. The burger was probably the standout. So mature with flavours and textures. I dont like greasy, fatty food which this burger isnt. The Vongole was my next favourite dish. Great to have it plated Al dente. Tasted very smooth. Over all the staff lacked enthusiasm and the venue didnt feel unique. Perhaps the fact it was Valentines day and there were a lot of couples sitting shoulder to shoulder with other couples influenced my rating however am willing to try it again on a later date.
Best steak ive had in a long time - creamed spinach amazing and the crudo appetizer so yummy. Please visit for an amazing meal!
Took my visiting parents last Wednesday, great dining experience! The ribeye was perfectly seasoned, but that goes with all the other dishes. Robert was excellent and recommended a great wine. Can be a bit loud but not necessarily a downside, feels very lively.
Visited with some friends for a lunch. The food was fantastic, The service was fantastic and a great atmosphere.
This restaurant was truely a masterpiece. The Boston Steak was truely exquisite.
Good food!
Contrary to its name, Clam Bar excels at more than just clams. We ordered the Crab Gratin to start which was adequate but just a bit too salty for our liking followed by the spaghetti & clams, fish of the day with bernaise sauce, asparagus and french fries. The mains were a standout, the fish was cooked to perfection and the spaghetti was full of unami flavour. We had room for dessert and couldn t bypass the summer fruit parfait. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience very much and will be back. The only disappointment was that the size of the dishes were quite small for the price but I guess this is fine dining.
When I first went in, the atmosphere was nice and the reviews were good, so I ordered 7 menu items and 3 cocktails. Sourdough was served as the first aperitif bread, and even though there were hard breadcrumbs on the table, they did not clean it up and served the next dish. I tried to understand up to the second time, but they kept serving on dirty tables and I had to ask them to clean it up. also until this time still didnt get the cocktails. and At a small table for two, the 4 of appetizers came out together and the main menu came out so late. (It was 9:30pm) - The overall taste of the food was salty or tasteless.
Wow, this place is funky, this place has deliciously amazing food and wonderful service but its soooo expensive. Must must must have the chocolate tart for dessert
Nothing special. Good food Poor service . Food : 4/5
The staff attitude is unfriendly and there is no special taste. Nothing that surprises you Overpriced Food
Superb food. Every dish was on point. Will definitely be back.
Everything about this restaurant is perfect. Highly recommended!
Been trying to get a table for months and finally got one. Spaghetti clams were truly amazing and grilled squid was very good. Steak was so so. Service was poor with one guest having dirty cutlery dropped on him twice and the waiter then seemed to get annoyed with us
Our waiter Dan was outstanding and made the dinning experience exceptional. Food was served quickly and was up to their high standards. The place to dine
Feels like a cool old 60 s era restaurant. Brilliant service and phenomenal food. Will definitely be coming back! Food
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a step at the front of the restaurant and they haven t thought of getting a ramp. Very disappointing to be honest.
Unfortunately have to give the place only 3 stars, even though the food was great. Our waiter made the experience less than pleasant as he was quick to disappear and very inattentive. We saw him and the hostess talking about us in manner that made us very uncomfortable. We also saw him continuously rubbing his belly under his shirt which was obviously disgusting. We didn t want him touching our plates or serving us after that. Even though the food was good, I can t see us coming back with this kind of service
Not recommended at all
Slaps every time! Amazing food great service and great vibes. Highly recommend!
Steak was good, but the pastas were next level! The clam pasta was super buttery and bursting with umami, the textured noodles held on to the sauce very well. The side macaroni was broiled to perfection and sauce was garlicky. Steak was cooked to medium rare and good as expected. A little chewy but still beefy and satisfying.
Such a great spot for date night or dinner with the girls. Highly recommend for atmosphere, friendly service and amazing food.
A fantastic meal. We had the tartare, the rib eye, the clam spaghetti and the crème brûlée and they were all incredible. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant, and I couldn t recommend it more for a date night or if you re keen for a good steak.
Wasnt one bit impressed with the food, and the whole atmosphere in this establishment was off. Not once were we asked if we enjoyed our food even though our neighboring table was asked repeatedly. If you like your burgers raw then this is the place for you. Totally overpriced for the standard of food. The chef could do with a lesson in steak tartare, I have eaten this dish many times before and it doesnt come close to what it should be. The staff uniforms look like they are straight out of a Japanese concentration camp and does not fit the aesthetic of this, or any restaurant for that matter. I felt unwelcome and constantly watched by the staff making this whole experience unpleasant. The shining light was the first waiter who greeted us with a smile, its just unfortunate his colleagues couldnt replicate his kind nature and instead opted for a condescending approach. Avoid.
Great addition to the Sydney food scene - favourite entree was the beef tartare with the baked potatoes, a great pairing and beef was so fresh and well flavoured. For mains the steak was amazing, cooked medium rare with a beautiful crust but soft and buttery on the inside. The clam spaghetti was also very enjoyable, I loved the buttery garlic sauce and the clams were fresh and delicious. Great place to spend Valentines with my buttercup.
Loved the food and service. Highly recommend the fish collar, steak and vodka pasta. If you love burgers youve got to get that too. Definitely coming back here and had a great evening out.
Service is really good. But overall all the food we had were quite salty. We had the clam spaghetti, beef fat potatoes and new york strip. For the price, I wouldnt go back.
Fantastic food and service. Oysters, tuna tartare, and ribeye were excellent. The clam spaghetti was delicious. Highly recommmend!
Chefs kiss excellent!
Steak and pasta are really tasty. Cocktails are great too. Food
Good- service was lovely and attentive. Great fit out. Food selection good. Bad- Food is extremely salty. From the steak to the burgers and sauces to the side dishes. Return frequency: probably a once every two years proposition. Good to try out once or twice.
We came here for a girls night on a busy Friday night. Nice cosy place with fantastic food and wonderful flavours. I enjoyed every dish. Service was polite and attentive. We did not feel rushed to leave at all.
The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was pretty good too. To start off, my friends were more than an hour late and I was already there at the restaurant! I explained the situation and gave me a table where I could wait for my friends. So I just drank wine while waiting and the wait staff kept checking on me. As for the food itself, we liked all of what we ordered. You can t go wrong with the rib eye and the empanada. And their wine selection by the glass was decent too! Overall a place I d recommend going to!
Not overwhelmed with food. It says crab cakes on menu but it is crab meat in a sauce. No meat on the Coral Trout crumbed wings.
Awesome experience. It is expensive, but food is next level
Vongole and rigatoni were delicious. The John Dory and the cabbage side were great and the staff were lovely.
The service was great and some dishes, especially the fish were excellent. But can it be justified - entree of anchovy toast and which they charge $38, and they bring out a can of Ortiz in its box which I can get at Woolies $14 served with some burnt toast, butter and leaves? I was gobsmacked and almost felt embarrassed for the chef. Similar with charging $16 sides and all it was was less than half small bbq baby cabbage. Pure robbery.
Reasonable food, bit boring, service a bit pretentious and intrusive. Tiny servings, not much for what you pay. We had the rib eye, bread, calamari, empanadas, oysters. Bread was probably the best, empanadas the worst
My family and I loved this restaurant:) the food was amazing. Atmosphere was beautiful. The staff were lovely!! My favorite dishes were Salmon trout Poke Crab Gratin Spaghetti and Clams Macaroni Vodka Creamed Spinach I think those are must ! Especially Crab Gratin. I can t wait to go again
Amazing retro Australian-Italian ish bistro in the CBD. We had the steak tartare which was the best one we ve ever tried, the oysters casino, spaghetti and clams, and clam frites and everything was delicious. Wine list is thoughtful and reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return next time we re in Sydney.
I can t say enough good words about this restaurant! The food was incredible. The clam pasta was amazing (The best I ve had) and the steak melts in your mouth (Get the Bearnaise sauce). The crab gratin was also a tasty entree! The key lime pie was delicious. All the food is presented well and it had a lovely French wine selection. The service was perfect and the staff were very helpful and attentive! One of the best dining experiences I ve ever had! A must visit in Sydney.
Beautiful food attentive service - who could ask for anything more? My only minor issue is that it was a bit hot and a tad too dark. Otherwise - get thee self to the Clam Bar!!
First time. Went with my partner. Early sitting, 1715. Great atmosphere, had a New York sort of vibe. Excellent staff and service. Attentive, knowledgeable, but not in your face. Good portion sizes, and decent set of menu options. All dishes were prepared as explained and fresh. Highly recommended, we will return.
Perfect every time.
Fantastic food and drinks, great service and a lively atmosphere. Prices are high but that s Sydney!
Very average food all round. For those who dine regularly, I assure you this place will be mediocre.
Great vibe but the portions were tiny and all our dishes were too salty
What a great place. Took my wife today and it was fun. The staff are so lovely and cheeky! Food is fantastic, wine is beautiful and the Martini is dry and cold :) Love love the Tuna poké
Wonderful experience- extremely kind staff, the food was fantastic and the restaurant has this vibe which makes you feel like you are in last century New York - cosy and alive.
A wonderful old world-esque addition to the sydney food scene. Food was on point. The burger, hands down BEST IN SYDNEY. I DO NOT KID! Drinks were on point as was the attentive and charismatic service. Will be back!
Fantastic evening at Clam Bar. Delicious food, incredible service and a lovely vibe. Hard recommend!
Everything we ate here was outstanding but the standouts were definitely all the sides and the steak tartare
Food, vibe, service and drinks all absolutely delicious. Beautiful range of food options, gorgeous martini s. Can t wait to come back and try more of the menu!!! Food : 5/5
My partner and I loved our experience at Clam Bar! After reading many reviews about the cheeseburger, I can confirm that it definitely does live up to the hype - the burger sauce, patty, cheese are each all so delicious, the thick cut slice of bacon was great too although not sure if it was necessary. The gratin of the Scallops casino was the perfect texture with the right combination of rich flavour profiles, we loved it. We also had the New York Strip steak, which was cooked perfectly to our request of medium rare, and a side of fries which were delicious. The sturgeon caviar was great as well - I loved the amount of Bellinis that accompanied it - not too little and not too much, the perfect amount that allowed you to be indulgent with each serving of caviar. The cocktails were absolutely amazing as well, although I didn t get a photo of them. To finish we had the Maple Syrup Pudding which was divine. Overall fantastic experience at Clam Bar, I look forward to returning. :)
Clam Bar has completely won me over. After experiencing their incredible steak last week Friday, I was so impressed that I returned again on Monday for another round. The exceptional flavour and quality of their steak left me craving more, and Ive already booked a table for another visit in a weeks time. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, what truly sets Clam Bar apart is the amazing service and the staffs remarkable knowledge about their offerings. Their attentiveness and expertise contribute to an all-around outstanding dining experience.
The food and cocktails are outstanding. The service is good you are put under pressure to eat and leave - reminding you from the moment you sit down that the table is rebooked. We ve eaten at clam bar a few times and the most recent experience was the worst- we had a 6pm sitting, hadn t opened the menu and was reminded about the next sitting which was at 8.30. At 8pm we were made to order our desserts and we re unable to order another bottle of vino only a glass or cocktail as there wasn t enough time to consume another bottle . It s a shame that the staff have been trained in this way as the restaurant is fabulous but we won t be going back after our most recent experience.
Loved it. The vodka macaroni was exceptional. The scallops excellent. Good cocktails, good steak, good service.
Wow.
You have to be very careful about your wallet before you go. I ordered a hamburger lunch for 35$, but the bill was 42$. It was a mystery why the money was taken. 7$ for water? However, the atmosphere is quite good Vegetarian options: There was also a vegetarian menu. Dietary restrictions: There was also a vegetarian menu. Parking: No parking lot Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for children Wheelchair accessibility: Ill put it in
Great food and service, we all really enjoyed the meal.
Went there for my Sons birthday and since its new a bit of an unknown. But wow! Excellent food, service is prompt and staff are very welcoming. Servings are generous, tasty flavour combinations. Desserts were good too! The bread is a must as are the corn & Gruyere and the vodka Macaroni. Steak was cooked perfectly. The beef Tartare is also excellent! Can definitely recommend this restaurant.
Returning to try their steaks! Loved the pasta and their ginger mocktail concoction! Coming back for them also.
I tried the burger and it was so good, special thanks to Robert who guided us through the menu also was so kind
It was surprisingly underwhelming given some of the reviews Ive seen. My friend and I had the tri-tip Boston cut and have to say I have had better in other steakhouses. They recommended the off-menu lamb platter which did not impress. There are better restaurants for the same price point.
Highly recommend, fabulous seafood and sides. Worth a visit or two
TLDR: Overall I felt that everything I ordered was good! Nothing was a miss and a great dinner spot in the cbd!! i love the new york inspired ambience and vibes Food pictured [ =must order]: Scallop casino (5pcs) ($35) [ ] - the crispy garlic was salty and made it yum Spencer gulf calamari ($44) *reserve menu Fried fish collar ($24) [ ] *reserve menu - loved the batter, kind of a high end fish and chip lol Clam spaghetti ($38) [ ] - if this wasn t good that would be ironic, sauce for this was flavourful! Rib eye ($120) [ ] - normally not a huge fan of steak but i felt that this was yum and super well cooked. We got it with sauce bearnaise which i d recommend. Corn & gruyere gratin ($16) - great side to order Fries ($16) - reminded us of maccas fries (which is good!) Key lime pie ($19) - sweet but light Ambience: The interior was super beautiful + dim lighting. Great place for a catch up, but since we booked an early dinner - we had a limit on how long we could dine for, so we felt slightly rushed. Instagram for more @kellyfeasts
Cute restaurant with a good atmosphere and friendly staff - great for date nights! Food was overall pretty good. We loved the oyster metropole: the nuoc cham sauce was fantastic with the oysters, which were very fresh, and the chipolitas were very tasty with a nice touch of lemongrass. Some other highlights were the creamed spinach (so creamy & comforting), the beef fat potatoes (nicely seasoned), the tomato salad (refreshing & fragrant from all the herbs) and the coconut sorbet (a beautiful complexion of sweet & sour!). The mains were alright, not bad but not excellent. The spaghetti & clams had perfectly al-dente pasta and a tasty buttery sauce, but the clams were overly salty in my opinion. The New York Strip was good, but nothing extraordinary. The snapper ceviche was the only disappointment. The fish was fresh, but the sauce was quite basic and the presentation was underwhelming ($26 for a tiny bowl of ceviche?) Overall, I d still recommend to try this restaurant out for the vibe & their amazing entries, side dishes & desserts.
Nice place, but when charging $35 for a burger with no sides, it needs to be perfect, and ours came out slightly black from the grill in places and had a corresponding slight burnt taste. Lamb grill was delicious though.
Nice addition to the Sydney scene, don t know how this flew under my radar. Nice to be back in the old Bridge Room premises and the fit out/decor is outstanding. Service friendly and knowledgeable. The $210 steak was worth every cent. So many restaurants with fiorentina on the menu that can t back it up, here however it was cooked perfectly, enough caramelisation yet buttery on the inside. Key lime pie can t be missed.
Clam Bar - Honestly, this restaurant exceeded all expectations and is currently one of my favourites in Sydney. The dimly lit ambiance truly set the tone for the night and layout was great. Every plate is a testament to the chefs meticulous attention to detail. Highlight dishes: rockfeller oysters, the burger (can confirm best in Sydney), New York strip steak (medium rare executed perfectly), rigatoni, cocktail prawns. Service was phenomenal and cant wait to be back!
Didn t get a chance to snap all the meals, however, they were all equally delicious! This was on their specials menu, the calamari - full of flavour! Great location, great atmosphere, service was excellent and quite quick turnaround.
Pretty good in general A little bit too salty except the steak Food
Waiter seemed upset at the amount we ordered and was pretty testy the whole time, which was quite uncomfortable. And then at the end they forced a service charge. Left a sour taste in the mouth. Nice burger though.
If you know you know
One of the best (and priciest) burgers in Sydney. Definitely worth a visit.
My wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here last night and I have to say dining at the clam bar was an amazing experience. The staff were very knowledgeable and were happy to explain the dishes and advise us of what would be safe for my wife to consume as she is heavily pregnant. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, they regularly topped our drinks up and checked in to see if there was anything else we required. My wife had a strawberry/watermelon mock tail which was advised by our waiter and she loved it, I had the zombie cocktail which was honestly one of the nicest cocktails I ve ever had (so good I had two through out the night) For a starter we shared the scallop dish and I have to say it blew our minds (I m not normally a huge seafood eater) it was so tasty, I can t honestly describe how amazing it was. For mains I got the lamb and my wife got the spaghetti. The lamb was so tender and flavourful I could have cried it was that good. My wife was extremely happy with her spaghetti aswell. We got the corn dish as a side to share and to me it sounded a little strange on the menu but I thought let s try it as it was mentioned by the waiter as a popular side. The corn dish was incredible it had such a beautiful aroma from the moment it was placed on our table and the taste more then matched (we both looked at each other stunned as we consumed our first bite) I d say it s an absolute must if you dine here. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie which was again out of this world and we had a complimentary fromage ice cream Sunday which was also delicious. I honestly can t stress how much we enjoyed our night here, everything came out fairly quickly considering how busy they were, the staff and the food were amazing. I hope the clam bar never changes, it s worth every cent
Fab long lunch. Sensational food, top drops & fun service with an elegant New York steakhouse vibe. Comfortably nestled in a corner spot perfect for viewing, it was a very pleasant afternoon.
CBD eateries tend to be either a miss or a hit. I think the true test of any restaurant is a returning customer. Restaurants that have a flood of journalists writing great reviews should always be taken with a pinch of salt. The restaurant has nice night time vibe. The service was the best part of the experience. Spaghetti claims average, New York Cut, over cooked. Desert was the best thing after the service. But not good enough to attempt a second visit
Brilliant food and done so well
Amazing food and overall restaurant. Best in Syd A+
Really like this place, plenty of seafood choices, great quality, service all to a very high standard.
Loved this restaurant. The food, atmosphere and staff were fantastic. The clam pasta, burger, steak and macaroni are a must when going here. Very reasonable priced for the food and the experience. Food : 5/5
Came here for lunch and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was amazing. Loved the deep fried fish collar bone, spaghetti & clams and the cheese burger, though the cabbage was really salty. Desserts were surprisingly tasty too. Staffs were very polite and attentive. Portion size was quite small in my opinion. Would definitely come back again for the steak! It looked amazing.
Sophisticated stunning restaurant Hidden behind a charming door is a beautiful and elegant restaurant fit for stylish lunches. The decor is lovely and table setting and layout good. Food excellent with good choice of fish, steak and of course clams. Service efficient. We went here for a lunch and enjoyed it very much and will definitely return. Recommend this, not cheap but worth the spend. Would like to have been able to order just clams as an entree but not available as I asked. Love your local guide/-M Dietary restrictions: We spoke to waitress and she was not helpful it was that s what we have on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Not good access
The food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed all the meals we ordered, which totaled approximately 5 plates between the two of us. However, despite informing the manager about our 30-minute delay caused by parking issues, the staff constantly rushed us while we were eating. They made comments about our lateness and the parking problems, urging us to quickly move from appetizers to main courses. They even attempted to take our dessert orders while we had just received our main dishes. Furthermore, while I was still enjoying my wine, which was nearly full, they abruptly placed the bill on the table and requested immediate payment. The staffs rush was disappointing, as I have never experienced such a hurried dining experience from beginning to end at a restaurant.
Amazing flavor and good value! They forgot our bread but the food was so good I didnt care. Food
JUST STRAIGHT BANGERS. LOVE U CLAM BAR THANK U SO MUCH JUST ALL ROUND BIG LOVE FOR THE PREMO FOOD APPRECIATE U
Dont bother trying to call them, I have tried 4 times and no answer
Dinner was exceptional, delightful ambiance, superb seafood and seamless communication during the reservation process. 5 stars
Food is almost surprisingly good. Simple dishes done very well. Great cocktails, very good service and a solid vibe.
Great service, atmosphere was really nice and the food tasted so yum!!
I came in after 9pm and, luckily, there was an open table. Pellegrino 2000 is one of my favorite restaurants so I was very excited to try clam bar. I really wanted to try the calamari but that was sold out. -(4.5/5 stars) The fried fish collar and scallops were very nice. -(5/5 stars)The vodka tomato pasta was very nice. However the waitress didn t tell me the handle of the pan is scorching hot and i got burned badly. -(1/5) The ny steak was awfully over cooked. It had a nice crust. But i asked for medium-rare. They overcooked the steak two levels up to medium-well. Being that it was almost 10pm and i didnt want to send the steak back and wait another 30mins i ate as much as the hard and dry steak as i could. It ruined what was a nice meal up to that point. I read some other reviewers also write their steaks were overcooked. This is completely unacceptable and i ve never experienced a steakhouse over cook a steak two levels pass what was asked.
Great food, vibrant atmosphere. Clam bar is gets very busy during lunch and is a local favorite for business professionals. Make sure you make a booking if you are planning to give them a go. Cost can vary as they have both budget friendly lunch specials and higher end seafood mains but you will find something suitable for most.
Food was absolutely delicious 10/10, we had the prawn cocktail, steak tartare, squid (to die for), spaghetti clams, corn gratin & bread. Sensational!! Will definitely go back.
Very average experience. On a not busy night, it took 4 hours to eat 3 courses. Dessert took one hour. Midway through our meal, our server sat down at another table to relax and hang out with his friends. The food was nice but not enough to make out for the service.
Sensational experience at Clam Bar. Most delicious flavour combinations and showcasing meat and seafood cooked to perfection. The martini s and wine list were on point. Staff were attentive and timely despite how busy they seemed. Will definitely be back!
Food was ok, but this place is deafening, it s an echo chamber of squawking shrills, where you can barely hold a conversation
Came here for dinner and the atmosphere was so lively and vibrant! We had to make a reservation in advance, and the food did not disappoint. Fish of the day was a Flathead that was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful with the accompanying sauce. Paired wonderfully with the spicy gratin on the side and we ordered the octopus to start. The cheese burger was probably my favourite that night. Wonderfully seasoned with crunchy sesame seeds on the buns. Yum! Parking: You cant park at Clam Bar, but there are paid parking lots around the restaurant and in the area. As we were there in the weekend, parking gets filled quickly as well. Its also expensive to park in town! My recommendation would be to take transport as it is so accessible with so many public transport options!
I recently dined at Clam Bar in Sydney CBD, and it was an exceptional experience. The nostalgic decor, reminiscent of the 60s and 70s, created a charming atmosphere. The clam shell glass sconces lights added a unique touch, and the warm welcome upon entering set the tone for a fantastic evening. As two diners celebrating a birthday, we were pleasantly surprised by our bearded friend who not only exhibited superb friendliness but also had a personality that resonated perfectly with the Australian market, enhancing the overall vibe of the place. The atmosphere inside was just perfect, with soft lighting, light smooth music, and comfortable seating. I opted for the burger, a choice I can confidently say you cant go wrong with. The Beef Fat Potatoes were an absolute delight; we loved them so much that we couldnt resist ordering a second serving. The spaghetti with clams was a beautiful dish, showcasing the culinary excellence of Clam Bar. The selection of wines complemented the meal perfectly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In summary, our night at Clam Bar was nothing short of great. From the welcoming ambiance to the delicious food and excellent service, it was a memorable experience. I highly recommend Clam Bar for a delightful dining experience in Sydney CBD.
Cannot wait to go back. The food is amazing. The standout is the friendly and attentive staff. They help each other out and rotate based on who is available which I think helps diners get service much faster and more efficient. Its worth every cent. The ambience and decoration are just to my liking. One of my favorite restaurants in Sydney. The scallops, the steak, and the humble cheeseburger were the highlights for me but tough to choose a favorite.
Flawless. One of our favourite restaurants in Sydney.
Food (1/5) and service (0/5): Ordered scalop for entre: which just full of breadcrumbs makes your throat dry. Then for main we ordered NY steak with diane sauce: they managed to highlight the bitter taste from burned charred as thats whay mostly it taste like, order medium but it came like medium rare to rare side, diane sauce was just like plain mayo. Also, the burger was fine although the inside still like tartare but we ordered medium for sure. Lastly, the waiters were super unpleasant, no one taking our order i have to asked for 3 times for someone to finally get our order. Even when the food came, the waiters did not even explaining what are they serving and just dump the plate on our table and gone. At the end, none of them asking on how was our food and even when we pay our bills, not even single thank you. Seems like they allergic to talk. Wont recommend to come here, not worth every single $.
Had a great time here tonight with a friend. We ordered 2 entrees (tuna poke and steak tartare), 2 mains (spaghetti clams and coral trout) and the tomato salad side. Steak tartare was the highlight, the chunky pieces of beef really adding to the dish. The poke was also nice and a bit different with toasted sushi rice throughout. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly, serving was on the smaller size than some of the other pictures Ive seen in reviews. Tomato salad was tasty but quite small (3 large pieces of tomato in a stack) We left satisfied with the amount of food but could have probably ordered one more side/entree or a dessert. Definitely a great restaurant overall. Other feedback: similar to some other reviewers, we were reminded a number of times about the next seating during our visit. Im surprised about other diners quoting $60 per head as we spent double this with 3 drinks between 2 people. The tables are quite close together so youll also be elbow to elbow with the diners next to you.
We had a pretty average experience, was rushed out and strictly on a 2 hour seating. Given the amount of money you are paying per person, it was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend dining here or will I go back. You are better off spending $500 elsewhere.
Best cheeseburger we have had in Sydney (pricey though)! Spaghetti with clams was nice but not what I was expecting - thought it might be more Italian style vongole with olive oil but the sauce was more clam juice like (still not bad!). Meat cooked to perfection (medium rare bordering on rare). Macaroni alla vodka yummmm. Room was very loud so had to shout! Service amazing (shout out to gentleman with thick moustache!)
