We stopped on a whim and it definitely did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very peaceful and calming; we had a lovely seat by the fireplace. The staff was so inviting and went above and beyond. I had an apple cider mimosa; it was phenomenal. They have an entire menu of seasonal drinks that all look amazing! I had the gyro platter which I shared with my husband; it more than filled us both. Our family ordered a steak and cheese sub meal, a chicken sandwich meal and a chicken tender meal; all were raving about it! The butternut squash soup is also a must have! The owner was so attentive and I walked back in to let him know that it was getting slippery and he immediately grabbed the salt to take care of the ice patches. I truly cannot wait to come have another great meal and a nice cocktail too!
Just stopped here while passing through! We ordered the heavenly chicken sandwich..and it was phenomenal. The customer service was amazing. Our waitress Emma, was so accommodating, kind, thoughtful, and great with children!!!!! She suggested the bread pudding and it was a hit! Will definitely be coming back!
Had a rehearsal dinner in the separate dining room with 34 guests. Room was plenty large, and the professional, attentive staff could not have been better. They got our orders and dinners correct, timely in serving and delivery for such a large group and made the night extremely pleasant. Spiros, the manager/owner was very accommodating and patient and so helpful. Could not recommend a place more highly for honest drinks, good food and terrific staff in making a group get together run smoothly. They cared, we appreciated!
Ate lunch here for the first time today. Our server was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. We both had gyros and loved them. There was a generous amount of meat and it was seasoned really well, and the bread was soft and delicious. They came with fries which were also very good. My husband got a side salad and it was fresh, and the ranch dressing tasted house made and was really good. We will be back!
We usually pick The Station for special events so it was our first visit since a major menu redesign. We were pleasantly surprised at how many options were added. All of us were happy with our food and as usual they were great with our kids.
Went here last week with my sister, brother in law and husband. We were seated right away and James was our server. He was attentive and provided refills took our order was kind enough to bring boxes, give advice on the menu and very kind. The food was AMAZING! My sister and I got the burger with the mac & cheese on top with the toasted brioche bun. It was phenomenal. It did not disappoint! My husband got the chicken Parmesan sub. It was very delicious. My brother-in-law got fish and chips. He said the perch was very good. Their fries are amazing as well as the onion rings. You can’t go wrong, either way!
We visited for the first time last weekend, we are not local and had no idea that this spot was literally right behind where we were staying (upstairs of the Boulevard Market). We always love to support local, and this seemed like the easiest and best option for our Saturday night at 6:30. I bet it's much busier during spring and summer, so we were happy to be seated right away. Our drink order took a little bit, but we were looking at all the interesting things on the menu. But since they had just cleaned our table (but didn't dry it), the paper menus stuck right to the table and it felt pretty low-end and avoidable. Our server made up for it- he seemed to be bored with the night but was really in tune with our questions and choices. We got the feta/toast app (tyrokafteri), it was basically perfect and we are talking about how to make it at home. Then we ordered the steak combos, which we thought were reasonably priced for what you get. My house side salad was dismal though- dressing was great, but having seen that you have nice mixed greens in house/on other plates, WHY are you using old-boring-leftover romaine and store-bought croutons? Side for the most expensive entree on your menu gotta be cheap and sad? Maybe that's what normal people like? Yuck. Ok moving on. Here comes our steaks, plates look beautiful. Didn't take too long, but we were not in any hurry anyway- so we cut in and they were both under the mid-rare we requested. BF just dealt, but I had a crab cake to hold me while I asked for my filet to be cooked a little more. Server and I agreed that it's better than an awful overdone situation for a nice piece of meat. It came back in a few minutes, it was closer to my temp but still pretty rare. Oh well... the seasoning was right on, and that crabcake was not all filler either! In closing, give this place a shot. Apparently, based on other reviews, don't get cajun pasta or stuffed mushrooms. DO get some drinks and chill out in a booth, take your time, eat some cheese and bread, be nice and honest and they will help you have a satisfying experience for sure. We found so many cute things in town we can't wait to come back. Maybe you'll have scallops again by then? Please? Thanks you guys! PSA: I must warn any cumin haters- the chef apparently regards it as their 'secret ingredient' in the mashed potatoes... I basically love taters of any variety but that was just SO WEIRD. I tried, could not get past it.
I have tried this restaurant 3 different times. Each time, the service has been great but the food has been lackluster. The last two times I ordered the Cobb salad. The first time they forgot to put avocado on it. I called and spoke with James. He immediately apologized and told me they would give me a free Cobb salad next time. I ordered it again and wasn't charged for it. James also told me he checked to make sure it had avocado this time. Unfortunately when he checked, he didn't notice the avocado slices had the remainder of the pit and peel on them. They were also completely inedible because they weren't ripe. They were like flavorless hard rubber. My fiance ordered the Cajun pasta and he said it was "okay" but lacking in flavor for something that was supposed to be cajun. I feel like this restaurant has potential but always comes up just a bit short. Unfortunately I will not be coming back here.
We held a baby shower last Sunday here for our 1st grandchild. Savannah helped to coordinate and make the room and the event Special. I recommend the Station for any event!
Ashley was a wonderful bartender/ waitress. polite, kinda, great suggestions, good conversation.
Ashley our server was FANTASTIC! She s so kind & patient. Really made our experience fun. Good food too
Great experience! Trinity my server was awesome and did a great job!
It was quite evident that Ashley our waitress did not want to be there. Took a long time to get drinks, appetizer and food, when restaurant was not that busy!! Food was warm ; for the length of time it took to receive. My meal came with a side of vegetables , which menu stated & asparagus. When my food arrived; had multiple carrots and one sliver of asparagus. Ashley s response was I don t make make the portions . . That comment alone solidified we won t be back . Many other restaurants to patronize for sub par service/drinks and Luke warm food and horrible customer service! Think twice before you patronize !!!
Ashley was great and the Brioche blaze chicken sandwich was delicious.
Nice place to go for lunch or dinner. Salads are wonderful and their appetizer fries are very healthy BUT so delicious. They may just be worth the calories! Haha!
Loved my burger and the fries
Wow turning away customers and closing at noon on a Saturday. This place will go under soon. We wont be back
The food was delicious and prepared with care. Our waitress, Ashley, was very attentive and had a pleasant attitude even after a long busy day. Dietary restrictions: Accommodated to special needs.
Very good food and quick service. My waitress was awesome.. Thank You for a pleasurable experience in your establishment
Really great food and really good service.
Came in a half hour before close. Service and ambience were perfect. Shrimp Santorini was tasty. Beef pasta dish was OK.
Friendly staff and decent service. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious but the onion rings were very greasy
Awesome Place, My favorite in the Area. Great food, Great atmosphere. My wife and I go here often for date time.
Ordered a 29$ steak (medium)..it was very thin and well done, hard to cut. Super disappointed will not be back. Assumed the price would reflect the quality. Ceasar salad was good. Mashed potatoes also not a good flavor/texture in my opinion.
Great food, reasonable prices! The bar area is great!
I had high hopes for a nice place to eat close to home. I was extreamly disappointed. The food was very sub par with a high price point. I ordered a cobb salad, the avocado was brown, some of the lettuce wilted and brown, blue cheese dressing was discolored and lacking flavor. Fiance got a spicy chicken sandwitch that was less then desirable. I ordered a martini that was so sweet I felt like I was sucking liquid sweet tarts. Im so disappointed we most likely wont be back. The only positive is the server was super nice and attentive! Its not her fault the food took forever even though there was two people in the restaurant and that is was terrible.
My family moved to the Tecumseh area a few years before the COVID thing. We had intentions of eating at the old setup, but it looked to be a little fancier and wanted to hit it for the right event. Well, we drug our feet and it closed. It looks like it opened back up a while back, and we just overlooked it. When I was pecking around a few weeks back, it looked like the menu and establishment were dialed back in formality. Anyways, weve now eaten here 3 times in the last 2 weeks... once via door dash, once at a booth for lunch, and the most recent at the bar. I think their burgers are as good as it gets. Eat here, vice TBC and save $3-4 per person and they come with fries. Their fries have to be made in house... never had any like them. Theyre delicious. The bar seats are the most comfortable I can ever remember sitting in. The bar is well stocked and the bartender we had was quite good. The whole staff seem to be happy, which I take as good ownership and management. I hope others have the same experience our family has, as I really want The Station to boom and stay put.
We went here for lunch, and I can finally say I have a favorite restaurant now. I am EXTREMELY hard to impress and please when it comes to Restaurant food. I am picky, judgemental, and fussy lol, (although I never complain, because meh, I dont want to be THAT person).... but this place was amazing. We ordered the Cheesteak with fries, all of which were amazing (the fries were potato chip shaped which I was a smidge on the fence about at first but upon eating them I was blown away) We had a side salad that was wonderful as well. (Lets talk about the ranch dressing!!!) Our friends ordered a Mac n Cheese dish that was very tasty. Service was great, atmosphere was wonderful, and we will be back!!
Food was just ok. Our server was exceptional even though it was her first week
This was my first visit to The Station. My boyfriend s sister had invited us to dinner, and she lives in Plymouth! The feta cheese and balsamic glaze fries were absolutely delicious! I had the pineapple salsa salmon, my boyfriend had the New York strip, and his sister had the mushroom and Swiss burger. We sipped cocktails with the appetizer, and then enjoyed a bottle of Cabernet with the main meal. Our server, Ashley, (I hope that was her name. I will have to make a phone call to double check) was a delight. My salmon was acceptable as was the salsa. I had hoped for it to be a bit more moist and flavorful. The New York strip was ordered medium rare. However, it came out well done. And before you asked the question, no, we did not complain. I am sure they would have fixed everything. The mushroom Swiss burger was fabulous! The mashed potatoes, the fingerling potatoes, and the carrots with asparagus were quite tasty. I will be trying this restaurant again the next time I am in Tecumseh. I live in Toledo.
Beautiful resturant with great food!!!
Great lunch here today. Juicy, flavorful burger. Unique fries that were almost perfect. Left wondering why we didn t eat here more often.
The food and service is greatly improved from the last time we visited. But they need to figure out if they want to be a pub or a fine dining experience. The prices indicate fine dining but the ambiance is missing. It would be nice to get a burger that is less than half a pound.
Great lunch spot on Sunday. Not too busy. Fun lunch menu with sandwiches, salads, Mac & cheese, and sub options. We enjoyed the Spicy Chic chicken sandwich with onion rings. The rings were thick and came with a nice dipping sauce. The sandwich was perfectly cooked with light breading. It wasn t really that spicy, but had a great flavor. We also enjoyed the Villager s Salad with Steak. It was excellent in quality, presentation, and taste. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The baklava and ice cream was tasty, though very dense and difficult to cut into. Parking: Behind the restaurant. Shared with other local businesses.
Grrreat meal: Western Burger with some kind of air French fries, delicious, cooked to order, prompt, polite service, fair pricing. Overall great late lunch.
My husband and I heard about the Station from one of his co workers. Let me tell you it was the best burger Ive had in a long time. Also the potatoe fries were not your typical French fries. Great food and awesome service. We drove 40 minutes and it was well worth it. Yummy ill be back.
This was our second time at the Station and let me tell you each time was phenomenal. James our server was so polite and helpful and refilled our drinks as quickly as we drank them. The food is so amazing you cant help but to eat every last bite. The atmosphere is so relaxing and calm. This place is definitely a 10/10. Overall this place is wonderful. Thank you for all yalls hard work. Great job
A must for lunch. It s a nice sit down place and it s upper scale without the prices. I had Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken and blue cheese. Yum! Such a huge portion. The salads are really good too and pretty big. My friend had a Philly cheese steak and fries, very good. It s a notch above your ordinary place. They have good drinks too. The waitress was very good and very nice.
Love this place
Our go-to place in Tecumseh. The staff are very welcoming and attentive (and fun!) and we love the food, especially the Horiatiki salad! Vegetarian options: Some great veg options
It was Mother s Day and we made reservations for a heavily advertised Mother s Day Brunch . By looking at the restaurant, you would never even know it was Mother s Day. The server, hostess, or owner, never even mentioned Mother s Day. We made reservations for a Mother s Day brunch, so obviously we were there to celebrate. There were no flowers, tablecloths, or decorations of any kind. The food was mediocre and way overpriced for the minimal selection of food. There wasn t even horseradish available for the reheated prime rib. The waffles were pre made (many burned) and kept in a warming station which made them soggy. The vegetables were bland, as were the mashed potatoes. The desserts were also mediocre, and only two options were available. I didn t even try the chicken because it looked soggy. Worst of all, even though our service was terrible (We were never offered refills, plates weren t cleared off the table until we asked, he did not say anything about Mother s Day, spilled food on the floor and never cleaned it up) we were still automatically charged a 20% gratuity on an already way overpriced meal! I do not usually give bad reviews or leave negative comments. However, this was an exceptionally bad experience on a day that was advertised as a special brunch for Mother s Day. I will likely never return to your restaurant.
Food was great..server...not so good.....also very quiet, no music, just silence....
I met a friend for appetizers and drinks at The Station. Everything was very good.
Awful fathers day experience. Watched 3 tables get up and leave due to no service. We had reservations at 5:15 , we were seated fast. Ordered New York strip , Fillet minion and and childs butter noodles. Our food came at 6:45 , the fillet was raw , chewy and worse food I ever paid for in a restaurant. Chikds food was cold and under cooked. There were dirty tables left for the entire time we were there. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Horribly dissatisfied with choosing to celebrate at this establishment.
Have enjoyed the lovely improvements made by this landmark restaurant . Always a favorite in Tecumseh. Love to see so many out of towners frequenting this gem. The customer service is stellar. The special touches of their own olive oil, Greek olives and warm bread is welcomed. The chocolate mousse is way too tempting. Glad to have an upscale option in town.
Taylor was great, awesome service. Really made it a great experience. She deserves a raise.
Cobb salad was large and very good
We made a reservation for Mothers Day Brunch. I didn t see any prices, wasn t given a menu. The service was horrible I didn t get my drinks until it was to late and they were not good. The food was mediocre at best and charging $25 a head per child when my children ate NOTHING but a few pieces of watermelon and a piece of waffle is insane. The fact that my bill was $200 for two adults and two kids under 3yrs old is just unacceptable. I would have expected much better food and service for this price. The waffles were undercooked. The buffet itself was warm at best and I feel we could have been better off at a hometown buffet. This is what we d pay for a five star in Colorado. We worked as a chef and restaurant manager. This experience was outrageous. We will NOT be back.
Overpriced brunch with few choices and undercooked bacon and pathetic desserts
Prime Rib was delicious, fruit salad was so fresh, mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty, breakfast pastries were fresh and delicious. Desert was nice, too.
We went for a mothers day buffet. There was a wide selection of choices that were all delicious.
Nice place for something different. A bit pricey, but will stop in again. We arrived just as they were unlocking the doors. Service was wonderful and the food very good.
Wonderful evening out in our hometown. Food was good and our waitress Taylor was amazing.
Taylor R was our waitress and she was on point. She did so good she is getting to know the menu she suggested items for us and she was spot on we were drinking tea we never had a empty tea glass. The food and the value are very good when you pair that with a waitress like we had with Taylor awesome experience good job Taylor
The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. They dont interrupt asking if everything is ok every 5 minutes. The atmosphere is relaxing, low lit, and quiet. Sometimes in the colder months, they have the gas fireplace going. My wife and I have eaten here on 4 occasions. All but one time the service was exceptional and food really good. The most recent time we had dinner there, the shrimp scampi I ordered had a really bitter aftertaste that made it almost unpalatable (too much oregano I think). When the waiter asked if I wanted a box, I was honest and told him I had tried to eat it but the meal was difficult to finish because of the bitterness at the end. I had poked through about 30% of it before I called trying to eat it quits (not one to complain, dont like to be THAT guy). Waiter stated others had made the same comment. He offered a replacement but at that point my wife was mostly done with her meal and I just didnt have an appetite any longer. It was a $27 plate of shrimp scampi but on the final bill I was only charged $13.50. That seemed fair as I had not complained initially and had eaten close to half before giving up. 4 stars because of this bad experience (only one so far) and their prices; they are a tad steep. Even with the discount on my meal on the occasion mentioned above, by time I tipped, it was a $75 dinner for two. Despite all this, I do recommend the place due to the initial comments of my review. Updated 2024: Since the initial above posting, we have come here on 2 separate occasions. 1. Fathers Day breakfast 2023: The food was cold, overpriced, and almost unpalatable. I walked away utterly disappointed and felt like I had been had. It was buffet style and the most low quality options were available and the food quality was worse than a Big Boy breakfast bar. Wont fall for that one again. I wasnt happy when I left but figured it was a one off. Every place has a bad day right? Valentines Day 2024: This meal was it for me. After the bitter shrimp scampi experience, the Fathers Day heist, and then this meal, I finally accepted The Station had either fallen off and was living in past lore, or they fired their best cook. Though their food quality has hit rock bottom, their prices remain steep. We came here for Valentines dinner and waited over an hour for our food. I ordered this amazing sounding chicken breast and my wife ordered whitefish. We were getting close to church time and so when our food finally arrived, I asked for our bill immediately. We needed to pay quickly to get to church on time. I sure wish I hadnt! The chicken was dry and flavorless. Worst chicken I have ever had. The mushroom and onions on top had no flavor and the onions were not cooked. I couldnt eat it..... the cook forgot my broccoli and the mashed potatoes were flavorless, starchy, and dull. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a high quality meal. I had only a few bites and was unable to eat any more of it. 90% of my food and plate was a waste. They say their food is locally sourced and the whitefish my wife got from one of the great lakes..... thats baloney. Her fish was fried to oblivion, and looked like it was stolen from long john silvers. She was able to at least pick at her meal. We paid $85 for our meal for 2. We were robbed. I dont know what has happened to the quality control here, but theyve lost us. We will never go back.
Arrived on a Friday evening around 6pm. Seated immediately and waited 30 minutes with no service. Restaurant had maybe 7 tables filled. Got up and left. Very disappointed
Great restaurant, service is always superb. Only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is value. The food is a smidge over priced for what you get. Craft cocktails are very good.
Do not recommend.
The good - The restaurant itself was clean and not too loud. Plenty of room at tables. The food - lacked flavor - I had to add butter, salt, and pepper for it to have any flavor. Chicken was dry, and the presentation was not appealing to the eye. Prices are insanely high. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere. Will not be back.
Service was good but the food wasnt worth the price. Brussel sprouts were charred into nothing and the potatoes were bland and the fish and crab cakes were fine but not worth $29. The cherry cobbler was I think just jarred maraschino cherries with some shortcake on top. Went there on a date. Apparently the quality was better a year or two ago and things have fallen off.
The worst customer service I have encountered in a restaurant setting. My 3 year old choked on the kids chicken tenders and they were so tough and overcooked. I was initially told it would be taken off the bill to be delivered the bill with the tenders at full full price. The waitress then argued with me telling me half was consumed which was not true. Requested to speak to the manager three times was told he was busy in the kitchen and could not talk to me and the best that could be done was charged half price. I will not return I would encourage you not to dine there either.
Dined there last night! We are very upset! Will NEVER go back! My 3 year old granddaughter choked on the overcooked dry chicken tenders! It traumatized all of us especially her and her 6 year old sister The manager would not talk to us He did not ask how she was! He did not offer anything at all but instead still wanted to charge for the bad chicken ! The owner did not ask how she was! Very very poor management!!!
Went on a date with my wife tonight and we decided to come to the station. Service was fine. Her dish was good. My main dish was just ok. I had the cajun pasta noodles were a little undercooked and steak tasted like old round steak chunks. Not like a good cut of meat. It was tough and gamey. We ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer and honestly it was nasty. We both couldn t believe how bad it was. I later got sick after eating it. (I would take this off the menu asap as it s not even remotely close to good) It tasted like old stove top stuffing and Parmesan crammed into old mushrooms. I was really hoping for a good experience and it just underwhelmed in a major way. The bill was a bit high for the quality of food for sure. We eat at nice restaurants fairly often and unfortunately this experience wouldn t fit in that category. Maybe we just needed to order better items, I don t know.
Great service and food.
We went there with friends on Friday night and had a great experience. From the moment we walked in until we left, everything was top notch. The service was awesome. The cocktails that they served were great. The food was prepared perfectly for all four of us. I highly recommend the ribeye, seasonal vegetables and jalapeño rice. The owner, stopped by our table and chatted to make sure everything was to his standards. Definitely a return for us, even though it is 45 minutes away it was well worth the drive!!
Great wait staff (friendly) great food.
Food was amazing Cocktails were amazing Service was amazing Definitely the best restaurant in Tecumseh! 10/10 would dine again P.S. Ashley is awesome!!!
Drinks were good!!
Delicious Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo! Wow, so good!
We had an excellent experience at this restaurant, both from the food and service. Our server s name (I believe) was Kayla, and she was one of the best servers I ve had at a restaurant in a long time! The food was delicious, everyone happy with their choices, and it s a reasonably priced menu for what you are getting. Bonus, the women s bathroom was very clean/tidy, which is always a good sign of how the overall restaurant is managed. Highly recommend The Station for your next culinary outing.
So disappointing. Based on all the other reviews my husband and I wanted to give it a try. Stuffed mushrooms were not good. They were topped with what appeared to be a cheddar cheese. I ordered the Black Bean Burger and it was complete mush. Fell apart and ate a few bites with my knife and fork but it was just an awful texture and bland taste I could not choke down. Didnt even eat half of it. I got the homemade chips as a side and they were so oily it left a film in my mouth. My husband got the Pork Belly with Cilantro and Jalapeno Rice and Brussel sprouts. Pork bland, rice.. descent.. but the brussel sprouts ugh...we have no idea what was on them. Some sort of cheese. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was my martini and our waitress was very kind. Update.... when we got home I was very sick to my stomach. Next morning..still having stomach problems. Never again will we go here!!
Ok
The cocktails and wait staff are top notch! A++
The service and drinks were excellent. However, my (nearly $30!) burger and fries were terrible! The burger was completely dried out and burnt on both sides. My party s food was edible. I could understand my burger coming out so terrible if the place was slammed, especially since we were sitting on the patio on a Saturday night. However there were only 7 tables seated in the whole place. For them to ask $50 for a burger, cosmic fries, and one cocktail plus tip - it should be an all-around amazing experience. It wasn t, not even close. I m only giving two stars because the service was great, my party enjoyed their dinner, and for patio seating in downtown Tecumseh. The old saying, you get you pay for , need not apply at The Station.
I have been here 3 times recently and all 3 meals were perfect and plenty to share with a friend or take home.
Very overpriced. Paid $36 for a palm-sized piece of beef tenderloin (adequate) that I thought included 2 sides. Wrong! Paid $10 extra for the sides. Menu confusing. Very VERY unhappy and complained. $93 for this less than adequate OVERPRICED food, NOT including the tip. Wifes crab cakes were dry, sides, barely adequate. GREAT server, however, did his job VERY WELL & tipped him well. Got free dessert; BUT will NOT BEING going back anytime soon.
Wow! The pricing is super high. I mean really really high. The food is good, but not for that amount. You can get better food and value elsewhere.
The service was fantastic! The food was at best mediocre . I am a fan of fine food and have no issues with paying for such. This has the fine food pricing but the fair doesnt fit the cost.
A delightful place with such delicious food. Come today!!
This retaurant has declined drastically since it was called Evans Street Station. My first, second, and third menu choices for my entree were not available. So, I selected the New York Strip ($36.00). I couldnt have had a worse piece of meat if I was at a Ponderosa Steakhouse! Steer clear from this place. How sad!
Food was very taste but service was so lazy. Visit again Thanks Food : 2/5
Great food, but expensive.
Exceptional food, service, and music. Chief Tecumseh would approve!
Delicious bison burger and BEST chocolate mousse ever! Parking: Lots of parking available! Food : 5/5 |
The meat was not cooked to order, service was very slow, food was about the same as going to a fast food drive through. Meat was sent back and still not cooked to order
Their cocktail are very good! Dont order the pork chops...they were way too dry and very thin for the price. Ive been there quite a few times. Service always is 8 out of 10...burgers are really good and brunch on Sundays is always good, too!
Wonderful place worth the price too
Beautiful. Great staff. Wonderful food. A little pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommend, especially for special occasions.
Drinks were good. Burger and fish were not cooked to order, but the problem was quickly and kindly resolved
Shrimp tacos and burgers are great. Dont forget the stuffed mushrooms, freaking amazing
Nice atmosphere, very good food but pricey. Staff were efficient, well versed in menu and helpful.
Nice environment, great service, slow getting food, good prices
Good food, a bit pricey. Friendly staff.
No disco on my fry s, no bacon on my burger, more attention from the fruit flys then the waiters, but that one waiter (James) is the most amazing waiter iv ever met
Superb food! Fish was amazing!!! I had a whitefish but my bf had salmon and it was fabulous.
UPDATE: This is a new review after a couple months since we were in: We called ahead to see what we could do for brunch with my wifes egg allergy, a usually impossible feat for many restaurants, and we have only great things to say about everyone we worked with. We were informed on the items we could and could not have, but even more so we had the support of everyone we talked to in the staff. We worked out ingredients with cooks and the chef offered to make a custom dish separately to make one of the options possible. To the Station and everyone we talked to today: Thank you so much for your time and for taking allergens seriously. This is such a huge deal to my wife and many others who have to work around this, especially with the more severe cases. Photo is prepared take-out at home
Used to be called Evans Street Station, had great food. I was disappointed, now more like bar food but more expensive.
Wonderful as always. Now that the Governor is done acting like an idiot the menu needs to expand.
Update: When we called in for brunch they were much more accommodating with my egg allergy. Im so glad and hoping the next time we go in will be another good experience. NOT Allergy friendly I was really looking forward to trying The Station for dinner and brunch but was disappointed by the quality of care and food options provided. Unfortunately they are not allergy friendly and didnt even try to be. I have an egg allergy and I couldnt eat at least 80% of the food there. 5 out of 7 appetizers alone had egg. I tried to ask if they had any other suggestions and they didnt care to try. I assume we were too much work for the first waitress because we were passed off to another one. We had to ask about a lot of different dishes because every dish included egg, from all of the buns down to even the taco shells. The second waitress we were given rolled her eyes at us when we explained that brisket can sometimes have egg in it. Someone acting rude when you are expressing concern about your life can make for a very bad experience. Im being generous with the 3 stars because the food that I had to choose from was cooked well and the overall restaurant has a nice atmosphere. My recommendation to The Station is to research the top food allergies and try to find some replacement foods that do not contain an allergen. Example, eggless bread or pastas. Also support vendors that provide enough information on what is in their food, not may contain vendors. It is an easy fix that includes a growing group of people that is frequently ignored, 10% of the adult population have food allergies. You can develop an allergy at anytime and probably wouldnt want to go to your own restaurant if you did.
Very good cobb salad. Chicken dish with rice was average. Service was friendly and professional. Several of the booths are wobbly--we had to move. The music was much too loud for conversation when we arrived. They were kind enough to reduce the volume; but then raised the volume again towards the end of our meal--higher than it was initially. As a former restaurant and nightclub manager, I have noticed that restaurant managers often dont realize how much a small negative detail can lose customers. People dont want to go to a fine restaurant like The Station and have to deal with unstable tables, and music too loud for conversation. This could easily be a four or five star restaurant.
Super bummed I didnt get the chance to try it this time around. They close at 8p on Thursdays. I havent been in and dined with them since they reopened. It looked great on the inside. Loved this spot when I lived in the area
Bacon Brunch Board.....VERY DISAPPOINTING; NOT as advertised on menu! The crepes are pre-made, not fresh to order. They come folded in fours, right out of the fridge onto the platter....Yes, they were that cold! The advertised macerated berries was nothing more than a SMALL amount of thinly sliced strawberries in a dish and plain whole blueberries in another dish; this is not how you serve fruit crepes! The bacon-egg bundles were so-so. An egg is placed inside a piece of bacon formed in a ring. Im assuming it was then baked because the top half of the bacon was cooked, the bottom half of the bacon (which would have been in the baking dish) was uncooked (raw) so had to cut that section off and not eat. As far as the menu-advertised rosemary-parmesan potatoes....that was nothing more than a thin wedge of a potato seasoned with rosemary and wrapped in bacon. Again, I assume baked because the top of the bacon round was cooked, the bottom half of the round was raw. It looks on the menu like you are getting a side of potatoes, which you are NOT! Lastly, menu says it serves 2-4. Two people if youre not too hungry, yes. Three or four people, it would be an appetizer and you would need to order an entree. The only reason I gave a two star rating was our server was very pleasant. Wish we would have saved our money and gone elsewhere.
Great food. Had the Disco fries and the wife had the mac and cheese with brisket. How can you go wrong with fries, bacon, cheese, and gravy. Mmmmmm.
Delicious food and a great selection. We brought my sister in for dinner and drinks for her 21st and the bartender was happy to help us with a drink selection she would enjoy. Highly recommend the blimey if you love blueberries!
Great food and service.
My wife and daughter both got very sick after eating here. They both had the same meal, and ended up with the same sickness. I called to ask if anyone had gotten sick and the manager told me no, but then the restaurant closed for a few days right after that. Maybe it was coincidence, but I don t think it was.
Super place. Great fine dining
Great food, great service
Great food, great owners
Tried for the first time 8/27/22. We were excited to try it, but maybe our expectations were too high. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food, however, though plated and presented well, was sub par and not worth the price. I ordered the steak, expecting a steak...instead I got cold steak fajitas that were chewy, both for the fat content and for being over done. My wife ordered the chicken and it was over cooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside. She could only eat parts of it, due to a concern of salmonella and the general unpleasantness of chewy chicken that feels more like sushi. The mashed potatoes were decent, though. The cast iron table on the patio was sticky, the menus were torn and stained by drinks and all around gross, and the music selection was obnoxious and too loud.
Service, drinks, and food were good. Nice atmosphere. Its good to have such a nice place nearby.
This is how my visit to The Station went last night. I really wish I was making this up. Were told theres a new menu. Order drinks, and the waitress brings 2 pieces of cold, store-bought bread to a table of 4. I ordered a Shorts Hard Cider, and when the drinks arrive Im given a totally different drink; Starcut Peach Hard Cider. Okay whatever, Ill still drink it. I open the can and it explodes all over the table. I unravel my napkin to clean up and find that my silverware is dirty. The waitress tries to help me clean up with cocktail napkins. We order French Onion soup, and ask for more bread. Soup arrives, I had to steal silverware from another table because our waitress disappeared. The soup; cheese on top is not melted, and the cup is filled mostly with bread. I had maybe two spoonfuls of broth. 30 mins goes by before we get another 2 pieces of bread in a basket. I guess they were making up for the insufficient bread basket by overloading our soup bowls. Food arrives. I ordered Shrimp Mac n Cheese. My food is cold, and the quality is more on par with a cheap diner. I politely ask the waitress to reheat my food. My moms salmon was horribly fishy, clearly not a quality piece of fish and certainly not worth 30 bucks. Her side of Mac was also cold. My dads smoked pork was dry. The mashed potatoes were unsalted and there was no salt on the table. The only thing any of us thought was decent, were the Brussel Sprouts. If it wasnt for being at a family dinner where I wasnt paying, I would have refused to pay this bill. My parents took to-go boxes, not for themselves, but to feed the dog. This restaraunt is serving sub-par diner food and charging Gandy Dancer prices. If youre going to market and price your restaurant as upscale, you better serve upscale food and you better have good service or youre going to keep seeing reviews like this. The service was terrible and the food was terrible. I am never coming here again and I am furious my parents paid for this absolute garbage.
Lemon martinis
Get the filet it s awesome!
Good choice when you are in Tecumseh. Nice wait staff drinks came quick. Decent burger
ALWAYS enjoy going here- at least a few times a month. The new menu is a little broader than the capsule one they reopened with, although the 2 NEW THINGS we really wanted to try were already sold out!! We had a 7pm reservation, so it MUST be good! Well be back Im sure in the coming weeks!
Food was not that good. Waited an hour at our table for food to arrive. Was not very busy either.
Loved the food and atmosphere. Family friendly place.
The food and service were great! I cant wait to go back there!
Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had anywhere from chicken fettuccine to the white fish. The jolipeno rice that came with the fish was lacking in jolipeno and flavor for that matter. It was in no danger of upstanding the fish which was very good. The service was ok. Seemed like it took a long time to get our meal. Usually I have my meal by the time Ive finished my first beer. Am not a fast drinker but meal didnt make its way to our table until half way thru my second beer. The restaurant wasnt very busy when we got there. Though the timing seemed long the restaurant had just reopened 3 days prior. Overall experience was good, we will be back.
We sat outside which was really nice and our young waiter was fine. Took forever to get our food when others who ordered after us were getting theirs first. Worst part was the $25 whitefish was the tiniest piece of fish we ve ever seen in a restaurant. Unacceptable!
We just enjoyed the best fish dinner we have had since we moved here 8 years ago ..cooked to perfection, excellent batter .I normally give the fries to my husband but not this time .the fries were perfectly seasoned & crispy .a def Friday date nite welcome back Station
Good service. Nice atmosphere. My steak was not as tender as I expected, but it had good flavor. Nice selection on the menu. Server was well versed on the specials and knew her stuff!
Had a lovely time! Good food, good service, good environment.
Nice char on the grilled chicken and delicious red raspberry balsamic vinaigrette, but that s where the good ends with The Station takeout. My husband and I ordered Cobb salads that had 3 small slices of under-ripen avocado and barely any of the rest of the ingredients for $14 each. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Fettuccine which is supposed to have Mushrooms / rosemary cream sauce / parmesan but instead I got half a grilled chicken on a bed of cream of mushroomed fettuccine for $18. But the grilled chicken was great.
First time at The Station (breakfast). Food was good, service was good, reasonably priced. I will be back to try the stuffed French toast. Thank You
Great brunch. Love the food and the atmosphere.
Excellent service and excellent food. Will definitely be going back for brunch often
Great atmosphere
Great place for a nice meal. Wonderful ambiance, friendly service and delicious food. Glad we drove out to visit and will be returning.
Really like it since the reopening; more relaxed environment.
Great food and great service.
Nice place!
Great food, maybe a little limited menu...great wait staff!
Chop house worthy. Very good atmosphere. Outstanding food
Food was great the portions were small walked away not full for what the price was.
Excellent!!!!!!
My fiance and I went there on Xmas eve for a buffet of the finest food my pallet can ever ask for.The food was superb. We had the taste of Evans street station and werent disappointed at all.We almost cant wait until next year.My only regret is I wish I could of ate more but unfortunately I couldnt. Waitress was nice and busboy never let our drinks empty.I would of gave them 6 stars if it were available.I must mention the shrimp were huge.3 bites per.
Honestly, we wouldnt go back. It seemed they had forgotten us, once we were at our table. After waiting a while, I had to find someone to remind them we were here. It was about $48 (before a tip) for two burgers that were almost unpleasant, and we split a caprese salad which was exceptionally good, no drinks. Its so easy to make an fulfilling, delicious burger. Well go to Twelve, in Clinton, next time. Its way better, and friendlier. Seriously, whats with a drink menu that doesnt have prices? The real measure of a place that proports some expertise in accommodating their clients is in the spotlight when they seat you in a cold, drafty location. I mentioned it was cold. My wife argreed. By the end of the meal... still cold. Perhaps other menu items would be more delicious but we probably wont go back to find out. Overall, it seemed rather insincere. We give it a Meh, for not impressed. Not even satisfied. My wife suggests two stars. It commits one of the greatest restaurant sins: It sets a bar for itself, that it does not meet.
The cuisine was exceptional, a visual delight, an absolutely amazing experience in every way! Service, ambiance 100% Dining PLEASURE!
Most wonderful food! Very upscale and elegant. I always feel special eating here.
Dined at this restaurant while visiting family in Michigan. Lovely place, nice and quiet. More on the upscale fancy side. Wait staff was very nice. Definitely pricier but food seemed worth it.
Too high of prices and too fancy of food choices
Excellent food and excellent service!
Love the new crab cake sandwich.
Family order, excellent food
Excellent food and service. Love the brussels sprout appetizer. The seared scallops dish with the egg on top was great and very original. Love the creativity in their dishes. I would like to see more vegetarian options.
Had the pork sliders and blackened halibut special with orzo and pineapple salsa and asparagus! Food was awesome, bartender was fantastic! Only reason for the 4 stars is the pork was a little salty on the sliders I felt, but nothing too intense.
Lots of stores and a couple of restaurants
Excellent dinner, service & setting!
Dinner date
Ordered the charcuterie (not the plate name) appetizer. Not cheap. They didnt provide enough toasted bread for the pate, cheese spread etcetera and when we asked for more they charged $2 more. Not happy.
Upscale in a small town. Great food
An absolute gem! The Brussel sprout appetizer was delicious and the scallop entree was amazing. The service is friendly and efficient. A great place to dine with friends and family. Overall a great atmosphere and experience!
This place is absolutely amazing. Awesome staff and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend!!!
Always great good and great service!
This is a hidden Gem in this part of the State. This restaurant is a quaint place with excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very professional. A bit pricey, but well worth it.
The flank steak dinner was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, sliced on a diagonal and fanned out over a bed of homemade mashed potatoes and green string beans. Very fulfilling meal and experience.
Great Food, Excellent Service
Very good but i went home & ate more.
Overpriced Garbage
Excellent Thanksgiving Buffet... super service by all!
