I walked into this establishment today. Not knowing what I was looking for. I was greeted by, I believe the owner as I about to purchase. He was kind and welcoming. I loved the garlic bread and panini I purchased. Very good product. I recommend. +++.
Really pleasantly surprised how much I liked this place, was expecting generic fake food with a name like "Homestyles" but this reminds me of nice italian delis you see in Hamilton or Montreal. Fantastic sandwiches at great prices, many niche items that I love. (hopefully they can start getting red pizza soon!)
I’m so thankful for this amazing deli! The staff is so welcoming and I can always pop in to find the perfect something special for dinner or entertaining. The meat and cheeses are beyond anything I can get at a regular grocery store and I love knowing I’m supporting local.
Don't waste your money at this store. You can go to Mercato fresh on banwell and they have everything this store has and more for cheaper prices. If you do happen to shop at this store, check the best before date on EVERYTHING because chances are it's expired. Have found bugs in the homestyle breadcrumbs, mold in the cookies (their baker doesn't know food safety at all, jam, lemon juice, etc not refrigerated). The owner doesnt know what he's doing and I feel bad for the employees. Oh and their "famous potato salad" is just Costco's potato salad and he jacks up the price.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! This place Jack's up the prices!! There's lots of other place that sell the same product for way lower cost for example Mercato, Demarco fine food etc!! The owner at homestyle on manning was so unprofessional and rude not only to guests but to his employees alike, I can't imagine how he treats his staff behind the scenes. I will NEVER go to this poorly run establishment ever again and will be spreading the word about how horrible this place is after many experiences with this place.
We popped in today hoping for some deli sandwiches and they did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious. We took the recommendations of who we assume to be the owner and were so pleased. Will be back in the future! Thank you!
Excellent customer service!!!!!. The lovely people here went above and beyond to answer several of my questions and more. -The rolls were fresh. -The carrot loaf is delicious! (It was fresh out of the oven) -The hot pepperoni sticks were enjoyed by all. I discovered: -They make custom sandwich platters for parties. (super affordable) -LaRocca cakes selection. For last minute planners like me, if you call, they will let you know what they have and even reserve one for you for the next day or upcoming weekend. Thankful for the friendliness and quality products. It does make a difference in people's days.
A great place to grab some fresh buns and deli meats. Also an assortment of Italian speciality snacks and food. They have locations that we frequently visit depending on the side of town we are travelling through.
Great store but hours are brutal. 10 to 4?!? Are you only open for retirees?
Clean and organized. Hours of operation are very limited. No fresh bread or deli before work or after. Doesnt really work for Mon to Fri families. Bread and options are good when I can get them, but also a bit over priced. Unfortunatley not many other local bakerys to go to.

Good selection, can get much cheaper elsewhere, but for convenience its ok. Biggest problem is that the staff are unkind and always on their phones....

Products are great. Great local place with products typically associated with Italian culture - typical Italian pastries, food/condiments, and small appliances. Customer service is lacking, especially from the older gentleman who tends to be friendly with other customers, and my husband, but just goes dead when he speaks with me, though Ive never been anything but polite. Service is still better than the old owners, but still not the best. We also have gotten attitude from certain staff when we can only make it in 30 mins prior to closing and theyre already cleaning. They have shortened hours due to COVID, which i understand, but then that makes it harder for us to get there. And i understand being frustrated when someone comes in after youre cleaning, but youre open until youre open, and Im sorry that we cannot get there earlier. I still want to support the small local businesses where i can and not go to the big chains, but do not like the attitude we get for it. So shopping at this place is highly recommended, but allow for lots of time if you can, and let the attitude roll if you cant.
Excellent products and customer service
Went in for some fresh deli meat and cheese and I picked out my panini buns to make my sandwiches and realized the buns were still warm!!! Needless to say they were so tasty!! The service is always so friendly and I always leave with a little something sweet from their homemade dessert counter!! You will never be disappointed!!!
Had a wonderful experience here. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They were patient, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. Ordered a meat platter for a work potluck and it was a huge hit. Will continue to order from here for future events. Highly recommend.
Bought a very impressive Charcuterie tray as a gift and staff did a Beautiful job! Bryan gave excellent personal service and I would highly recommend Homestyle!

If I could write 0 I would! Terrible customer service! I just returned prosciutto that supposed to be sliced thin but it wasn t. They didn t even give me my money back! This is ridiculous! Shame on you whoever is the owner!

Super meats, buns and pastries. I think this store broke off the original south windsor store but pretty much has everything the other store has and more. I have not tried their subs but will at some point. Very pleasant staff.
