sushi was not good at all i got a takeout order and the golden dragon was falling apart, the rice was mushy, and it just wasn t worth the amount of money i spent. very disappointed.

Great unique take on sushi, filling, fresh and satisfying. Weve been to two branches and this one was better than Walkersville. Didnt have to pay for parking. Server Nate was very friendly and forward with how things worked. He checked in with us so we didnt over order and get sick or charged. Good vibes, we are a sucker for their playlists and lighting. At first we laughed but then loved the bathroom. 10/10

I like this location better than the lakeshore location. Its a smaller restaurant and it seems to have better service and atmosphere. The sushi isnt the best Ive had but good. California rolls ok. Bento boxes are pretty good. The salmon nigiri is good. The chicken or beef teriyaki dishes arent that great. The Kona sauces are good. Not bad value for food. Parking is a little tight and limited.

Not only is the sushi some of the best quality in the area, but the service is impeccable. These guys know how to show they care about their customers. We had an incident with a Skip driver and the restaurant was incredibly apologetic (albeit not their fault). They corrected the issue straight away and sent us our food with a smile on their face. Thanks a ton Kona sushi. Id give you 6stars if I could.

If youre thinking Sushi just dont go here. First off its not authentic at all, fried food are so greasy and the service is extremely slow even though I was the only one in the place. Sushi was gross, crab salad latrocious which was literally imitation crab mixed with seaweed salad absolutely gross. Im with Biden on this just dont

OMG! The food is excellent, with my favourite being the Eggroll Tempura. It is what cravings are made for. I especially love the sauce they use on that dish. I pick up their original Kona sauce in a bottle with my order and use it at home. I do not like to run out of that. The staff is friendly, the prices are very good and the food is delicious! Parking: There is enough parking for pick up orders everytime I have picked up an order. It is right by the door so that makes it nice and easy!

Food was great- loved the panda roll, highly recommend to try. The beef teriyaki is an excellent rice dish with the meat being tender and presenting more like a stew (fyi) Service was very slow- on our way out we saw a sign that they were hiring so it s possible they were short staffed. Food took almost an hour to come out though and there was no mention of a delay etc. bill presented minimum 18% for tipping, kind of got put off by that as well.

We regularly order sushi from this restaurant for our office lunches, and it s always excellent! The quality of the sushi is consistently fresh, and the flavors are spot on. The staff are reliable, and the service is always prompt, making it a hassle-free experience. It s become our go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying office lunch! Highly recommend!

Rooftop terrace sushi and the One beer on menu was perfect, add sunset and good company, a great place to unwind in town.

For context, Ive had Kona takeout at least 15 times over the years at both the Walkerville and Tecumseh locations, and consider it one of the better sushi restaurants in Windsor. On a whim, we decided to get all you can eat here for the first time. The rolls I normally get were great and tasted very fresh. The Green Dragon was wrapped a bit limply this time causing the julienned cucumber to fall out but thats a minor thing. In the end, it was still tasty. Unfortunately, the fried food was an absolute miss. Konas tempura-battered foods are normally nice and light. This time around they were absolutely sopping in oil and made my girlfriend and I kinda queasy from the first couple bites. Its a shame because the tempura normally doesnt taste like this but this experience absolutely destroyed my insides over the course of the night and into the morning to the point where I dont think I will ever dine in at Kona and I have a feeling Ill be less inclined to order take out as well. They had the best green tea ice cream Ive ever had which was creamy and earthy with no graininess or large ice crystals. They also had the worst coconut ice cream Ive ever had which tasted like frozen sunscreen. No complaints about the service. The waitress was friendly and we were not kept waiting long for water refills or other requests such as the one below. The music was absolutely blaring above us for about half of our meal until I had to politely ask them to turn it down since I couldnt hear my girlfriend speak right next to me due to Justin Bieber rapping in Baby at seemingly 110% volume. I get it, front of house wants to chill and listen to their preferred songs louder while they work but the glare we got through the glass at the bar after they turned it lower was unnecessary. I ate here around 14 hours ago yesterday and my stomach is still making noises I can hear while just sitting here. This isnt something that happens when I order takeout from Kona. Regardless of the bad experience I just had, if you order strictly rolls, you can definitely get your moneys worth for $38.99+tax eating some good sushi.

Food here probably the best in town. However I have eaten here since 2016 with my friend when they was in Walkerville so I give you the warning to the owner. Food price going up that is understandable but the move to online and not answering call or take order in the restaurant is not very friendly. Id not like to be answer by a machine or AI any bit at all. I Cannot get any phone call in since they move everything online now. which include the main location called 5 times and this location called 4 times. I will still come and support the business but the move to online or technology need to have some human touch otherwise its a waste of potential

I love Kona. Every time I come here, I have a great meal. The choices are broad and the fusion rolls are fun. Whether you choose a tradition roll or not, everything is fresh and amazing. Also they will tempura just about anything. Want a cheesecake, ice cream, or a twinkie? Theyll tempura that!

Its my second time at konas and once again it did not disappoint. The food is great and tasteful and the atmosphere is great. Our server Chiara was very welcome and was always making sure we had food on our table in a timely manner.I would definitely recommend this place.

Very bad food

I went there for the first time just for the vibe (the patio) but was super disappointed with the food. Went for ayce and the apps are horrendous- super huge pieces for apps and super oily. The sushi rolls were disappointing too. Super large pieces and unnecessary vegetables topping the rolls (like sweet potato and bell peppers). I ended up barely eating there because everything was oily and heavy. I also ended up throwing up that night. If you go for the vibe, get a roll and call it a day.

Perfect date night on the rooftop! Will definitely be back for the amazing food and service!

We found the food tasty and the service was good, however I have never known of a sushi place where sashimi, Nigiri, and desert ice cream are NOT included in the all you can eat price... you have to pay extra for them... per person. Also the edememe were plain... absolutely no seasoning so avoid that.

Please don t go here if you are gluten sensitive or have severe gluten allergies like myself, they have items on the menu marked as gluten free but they aren t at all, waiter came back after I ordered and said what you ordered has gluten ingredients in it, but it s only a little bit is that okay? It obviously was not okay, if I didn t speak up at the beginning saying I had a severe allergies and just trusted the menu, I fear nothing would ve been said and I would ve been going home severely sick within 20 minutes of consuming it. PLEASE BE AWARE AND SPEAK UP ABOUT YOUR ALLERGIES WHEREVER YOU GO!

Even the kids that don t like sushi like it here!

Kona used to be one of my favourite sushi places in Windsor, but it fell off over the last year or so. Kona Tecumseh was the last good location but even they re pretty bad now. The appetizers are super oily, you can bite into them and oil drains in your mouth. The sashimi tasted like it had been sitting for a few days and was not fresh whatsoever. It smelled like rotting fish. The karma roll is the only redeeming thing about Kona, the staff is still very friendly and the ambiance is nice, but strictly speaking food quality wise, after the last experience, I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

The best sushi in windsor hands down

Kona Sushis all-you-can-eat promise turned out to be a culinary mirage. For $35, we were met with a monotonous array of maki rolls bulging with rice and lackluster, mostly deep-fried appetizers. The premium offer of adding unlimited sashimi and nigiri for an extra $5 felt like a reluctant concession rather than a genuine upgrade. Desserts? Overpriced and unappealing - imagine paying extra for a deep-fried Twinkie or cheesecake. The service was the icing on this disappointing cake. It took almost an hour for our order to be acknowledged, and the need to write down orders on a shared sheet was cumbersome and inefficient. The servers disappearance act meant we couldnt even order more if we wanted to, not that we were tempted by the initial food experience. In sum, Kona Sushi is a letdown wrapped in rice. Overpriced, underwhelming, and utterly forgettable. Save your money and your appetite for somewhere else.

Previously I only ever ordered from Kona through apps. Today was the first time I went in with a friend for Eid and immediately I loved the look of the restaurant and the lighting. The waitress was very nice and attended to our needs. My main criticism of the service is wishing the waitress had a helping hand, other than that, amazing food and one of the best sushi places in Windsor. Dietary restrictions: It lists if something has pork.

I had high hopes for the sushi I ordered due to the great reviews, but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The Red Dragon and Gold Dragon Rolls, which cost $32.77, were not what I was expecting. The Golden Dragon was topped with sweet potato instead of salmon and missing avocado. Similarly, the Red Dragon had a bell pepper and smoked salmon and missing cucumber, masago and tuna (which should be on top). I must admit that these sushi rolls are the thinnest I have ever seen. I strongly suggest that the sushi rolls be renamed to avoid confusing customers who are familiar with their traditional ingredients.

Grocery store level sushi and charging price is as though they re giving high quality. The amount of seafood per role requires a magnifying glass to see and they double up the rice on some roles to make it look larger and so you get fuller quick (all you can eat). I have no clue how there s a high rating clearly not from regular sushi lovers. Tried this place twice to give it a second shot with my husband - absolutely a huge disappointment

**EXTENSIVE REVIEW** *2 star formulation, not 5.* First time here. Probably the last. Relatively, it is a professionally questionable establishment to layering degrees at worst. At best, it is a breakage underpass to a lifeless local, in a geographical domain with an unconfident fog of assimilating a tucked serenity if mediocrity was a quality approach. It is cosy inside, while being audibly intrusive. It is tidy, while it is careless in food being dropped by employees, left on the floor to gaze customers, while not warning customers of appetizers being boiling hot in preparation, causing burned pallets on all dimensions. I watched as a waitress and another employee looked down at the food on the floor, look back up, disregard it s mention, disregard self accountability to its cleaning, and re-engage an outstanding social calling with the entire staff over the Sushi Maker with the duration of a flight to the United States delaying the process of customers orders, forcing them to watch and listen without acknowledgment of their honest impatience. The formality and demeanour of the waitresses is akin to robotic corporate drone; inattentive, and minimum effort with the impressionable outward expression of repressed depression, and tonal of notes of nihilistic cadence, with tonal hints of forced engagement in agreeable politeness that results in artificial, impersonal customer service experience. To no surprise, they were preschool school teachers in previous profession. I m not sure to what extent they are no longer, or the statical influence for turnover students provincial homeschooling alternatives.Your children children are a likely also subject to these individuals on a daily basis. Perhaps they had a bad day. Or, bad life, with deep afflictions scored in demeanour. The latter seems more likely to be originated from the Manager in reactions. I don t recommend one would take it personally if they decided to be a customer here. Certainly I have not outside of my thorough observational and unimpressive experience. Neutral overall. The waitress manager wa courteous somewhat, in the least. I would go again - though, with the preface of an additional two or more people to draw away from the lively, yet obsequious nature of the environments impressionable ambience of dull and depriving of soul. I don t suspect is a singular event based up the faces of the employees, and non verbal language of the employees, when engaging with the manager away from customers. An off-putted individual. Kohima Tecumseh is not dissimilar to a room of Dementors, but Harry died. Turn down the music. I can t hear myself talk or thinks. Reinstate employee training to include more interpersonal personality dimensionality when implementing interaction, through inward socializing. Or turn over the manager, with a holistically brighter replacement. The male cook responsible for the mess was a sweet boy, though clumsy. He requires operational attention. The Sushi Maker was found focused - equally disenfranchised in efficiency by the overbearing unpleasantness, and interruptions of the ascribed waitresses in her work environment despite her cordial responses with talkativeness, it was consuming. Excellent sushi though, Sushi Maker girl. If you didn t indulge your coworkers your effective value with not be comprised through a faster delivery. To the extent I could taste her sushi at all, Cook Boy. Warm your customers with a warning of hot items, prior to boiling them in a steel pan. As a relevantly helpful resource for the waitresses, I recommend the Jordan Peterson personality course utilizing the Bug Five Factor Model - especially for managerial growth, for applicable application in your restaurant environment. As the employer and franchisee, heed this - or not - at your own expense with the cost of organizing due diligence, either with the support of informative feedback from your highly empathetic, caring, and valuable customers, or the effects apathy.

The sushi selection is mind boggling and presentation of the food is delightful - youll want to stare at it for a while before you dig in, and it tastes as good as it looks! Food is always great! The service has always been fantastic, Dominika always remembers us and is such a joy. The lighting to the music is one of my favourite things about this specific location, such a great Playlist.

Came here with my daughter for dinner. Our waitress Courtney was amazing. They made kid chopsticks for my daughter too. Overall great experience. Kid-friendliness: The staff made kid chopsticks for my daughter.

Had a great dinner with friends. Food was fantastic. Drinks were great. Atmosphere was perfect. Will definitely come again. They will also make substitutions/additions to their rolls for All You Can Eat.

The food was amazing service was amazing Marta was amazing!! Fast service food was fresh I m not one for dessert but let me tell you we tried all ice cream flavours and the deep fried Twinkie and bananas amazing all around!!! Will be back thank you guys for an amazing experience!

Domenica served us at this location and she was fantastic!! My sashimi was super fresh, she answered all of our questions about the menu, and warned us of any up charges before we ordered. 10/10 highly recommend Food
