Lucky Garden is great take away. I always get the Diced Chicken with Almond and a steamed rice. The folks are friendly and their time estimates are bang on. It is a bit of a hole in the wall but that is where the greats usually hide is t it?
What a hidden gem within a small town. Usually Asian restaurants in small towns are terrible but this one surpassed all expectations. The dishes were very tasty. Well seasoned and using only high quality ingredients. You can really tell that the chef cares about the quality of food that they put out. Service was quick and staff was attentive and friendly. It may not look like much from the outside but once inside with food on your table, you will not be disappointed. Staff is extremely hard working and I appreciate everything that they provided for the evening. 100% your choice if you are looking for an Asian cuisine.
Ordered dinner for 3 for take out, everything was excellent! So flavorful and delicious! Great portion sizes aswell and decently priced 5☆☆☆☆☆ definitely recommend.
Had the Cantonese style Chowmein crispy Noodle it was good! Nice Wok Hei and good sauce. I also had a spring roll it was nice and crispy and the Chili Oil was fragrant and spicy 🔥
We did takeout during a road trip through Terrace recently. We order the chow mien spareribs combo, a workout wonton soup and squid with broccoli. Order was quick and pickup was easy. The chow mien and wor wonton soup were excellent. The squid and broccoli was subpar, lacked any flavor, squid was chewy and broccoli was overcooked. Might be an acquired taste, but was disappointed. I guess 2 out of three is not bad
Update, i see the dolllar amount, so I decided to explain. I got the 3 dishes for 49 dollars. Chicken chowmein, lg serving, s&s boneless pork, lg serving, comes sauce on the side, won ton soup, always decent, a large bowl, fresh broccoli cooked el dente everytime,not over soggy. Perfect. Omg, the prep work and quality. I always thought Golden Star was top of the chains in Terrace for Asian Quisine. Well, both have good dishes imo. But Lucky Garden takes the cake for "Chicken Chowmein." We got way more than we bargained for. It had fresh shredded onions, carrots, scrambed egg, sesame seeds, chopped green onions, chicken and noodles. And who knows what all sauces as well. Golden Star dish is just noodles topped with only chicken. But, not knocking Golden star, they got a dish called "Hong Kong Style Chowmein" that is great. They do have a better "Sweet & Sour Boneless Pork" as well at Golden Star, topped with chunks of onions, peppers and pineapple. Lucky Garden was just the pork and sauce. Oh, and back to the Chicken Chowmein Lucky Garden, you can see some of the onions and such sauteed as well. So along with quality prep and ingridients, you will also see extra cooking steps added to improve quality and flavor. I can go on and on about many more things about each restaurant's menu. But I will be writing a book at this point. Thumbs up to both restaurants and the owners. Good work, and God bless.
I just moved here. Glad I tried this place out. It's a very cute and tiny restaurant. Very clean. The food was sooo good. Best chow mein I've ever had. The lady who served me was very friendly and seeing that I have a walker she even opened both doors for me. Can't ask for better service.
Had a quick lunch while visiting Terrace from Victoria. The restaurant is a little run down and the buffet quite limited. I ordered from the menu and had the curry chicken which was excellent. I would go here for the food, not the decor. The service was also very good and polite.

Disappointing to call for takeout a few times over a half hour to never be answered, and have the message repeatedly tell you they re open. No updates on the Facebook that they d be closed.
I was getting sick of Chinese food, to the point where I didn t want any anymore! Then I decided to get some from your restaurant! Sooo good! Was even better the next day! The only Chinese I ll eat from now on honestly!

COMPLETE TRASH! Ya know.. what ever happened to putting an effort in, and making your customers happy? And for real, how expensive is soy sauce, really? Can you honestly only afford to send out one packet per order? The Sweet & Sour pork is tiny little, dry, rock hard pieces. Throwing this garbage in the trash where it belongs. Welcome to Canada the best country in the world Hahaha what a joke

Love Lucky Garden! The portion sizes are huge. Excellent value for the money. I havent had anything yet that I didnt like.
Who doesnt love variety
I enjoyed the fact there were Vegetarian options, I really enjoyed the mixed vegetables with deep fried tofu. Vegetarian options: There were at least 5 vegetarian options.

First off, not entirely certain how others have much more pleasant experiences with their food from this restaurant. I am a little saddened by having to rate my experience so low.. only because it seemed like there were 2 workers working at the restaurant at the time, it was quite busy and could tell they were having a tough time keeping up. Ordered a combination dinner for 1 D which is the chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork and deep fried prawns. Chicken chow mein was pretty bland in overall flavor and could not be saved by the one packet of soy sauce that I received with my meal. The sweet and sour pork was bad, really bad... absolutely no flavor and either the pork seemed extremely old or just incredibly over cooked. The deep fried prawns were the pleasant surprise! Other than the fact that I did not receive any of the duck sauce that usually comes with an item such as this which pretty much go hand in hand with each other. Overall yes, the portion was big, but the reason I didnt finish it was mainly because I didnt really enjoy it. Sorry

One customer at a time pickup only with hand sanitizer with a plexiglass shield separating you from the workers. We ordered - Szechwan prawns - mushroom chop suey - vegetable Chow Mien - Beef and broccoli These dishes all tasted exactly the same including the Szechwan prawns and there must have been a sale on broccoli because these dishes were 70-80% broccoli. But for the Chow Mien it is without doubt the best in Terrace.

AMAZING! The large wonton soup came with 15+ wontons; ginger beef was a little spicy and crisp; mixed veg had some nice garlic going on. All in all I would def recommend. The BEST PART was the SERVICE! Fast and incredibly kind. Even gave us extra fortune cookies. Def 5 stars!

This was the worst experience regarding Chinese food. Coming from a melting pot like Vancouver, we were expecting good local eats. Upon arrival, the atmosphere seemed ok but when we got our food it was a total disappointment. We had ordered shrimp, scallops, and chowmein along with other dishes. To start off, the chowmein looked and tasted as if it were boiled in hot water, and doused with sauce to mask the lack of flavour. The shrimp to my surprise was a mix of undercooked, rare, and cold. We were incredibly disappointed. The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star is because of the service. If after a long drive, you want to stop and have a decent, COOKED meal, this isnt the place for you.
Too salty food. I ordered chowmein with shrimps and beef stir fired. The taste is so terrible!!! A potion was so big which is enough for two.

Well this is not what I was expecting lacked in variety flavor service buffet line had about 7 items. I was surprised as seemed busy and popular. I will make this error once. I gave it a star for price and a star as I did not feel ill after.

sub par. Rampant use of salt masking any real flavor. Over use of celery which is cheap is used as a filler in dishes it does not belong in like the sliced beef and green pepper. Soup served in plastic bowls, Im not a child thanks.

Very very greesy and waited 1 hour and 15 for delivery when I called back lady was so very rude like it was my fault they were late. Meal made it five mins before hockey practice and was soggy and greesy. The only thing that was ok was the fried chicken wings, also portions are small compared to number 1 and Pollys won t order here again
