Way too many items to choose from, and too expensive. I think this used to be a very nice restaurant, but their menu consists of soooo many below average quality items, that tasted like they were likely frozen. Boring. No flavor or uniqueness at all. If they simplified their menu and worked on their core identity, this place could thrive! Its a nice space and the lady (the only other person I saw or heard from at the restaurant during peak hours), was very nice, and attentive. The food was not good. We would not go back unless there was significant improvement and originality. Theres tremendous potential, but not in its current state. I have to say though...the restaurant sign is CLASSIC! That - I would keep! Ditch the SYSCO menu and start over!

About 14 of us showed up for dinner. (W/Reso). Great welcome. Great staff. Broad menu and the most awesome food I have ever had in a Greek restaurant. Seriously, go and eat at this place. Everything was killer. Everyone in the group was similarly impressed by people and the food. A true Wow experience.

There was a group of 15 people and she took all our orders and they came out quickly and were cooked to perfection. Great service from Gurjeet. I recommend this restaurant if you go to Terrace.

It was a really nice experience to dine in here while on my vacation. Place has a really nice vibe to it and the workers were really helpful, but the food is excuisite especially the Souvlaki.

It was a very good dinner. I was not happy about paying for ice tea twice. With the price of the dinner having bottomless soda or ice tea would be nice.

Visited Terrace for the first time, we were looking for authentic Greek food. When we got to Sonbadas, the parking lot was empty. That should have alerted us but it was early afternoon and reviews were generally good so we tried out luck. The server suggested the most expensive item on the menu the large seafood platter for $180. She said it delicious and fresh. All the seafood was less than we below average, we can make better seafood at home. Most of the food was cold but we he snow crab came out frozen. Wasn t cooked, we asked the server to bring us cooked crab. They recoooked the same crab that we had touched and said was not cooked. Same pieces arrived back to our table. The lobster was over cooked, crab cakes were so disgusting and salty. The lemon potatoes were days old. Probably the best thing was the rice and steamed veggies. The server didn t own up to anything, she suggested something that was not the best item. It was simply the most expensive. They are far from authentic Greek. I will be getting in touch with the Heath safety department as they should not recook something that s been returned. Just the worst experience, I suggest you take down the Greek flag as this is not Greek food, just a false advertisement.

Update: New Chef... And somehow even better! Seriously I could not believe the improvements. And honestly now that a meal for 3 with desert and Appy costs the same at BPs as it does at Sombadas my family is just coming here. You get more than your moneys worth, even if it costs $200. Greek food at its finest. The steak here is of the highest quality. Sea food is very good. The deserts were devine. We had three dishes, and almost every side. The fries, were the most disappointing merely being good. Itd be great if they did Greek lemon fries, rather than just standard. The rice, lemon potatoes, salad, garlic bread were all at the quality I expected of the price being asked. The Beef tenderloin kabob was better than I could of hoped. The sirloin Oscar was savory, and saucy. The shrimp well done. The steak perfectly marinated. The chicken alfredo was surprising as well. Loaded full with chicken and a very nice savory alfredo. We had Baklava, a Greek desert and the sizzling brownie. Legitimately the best Baklava I have ever tasted. Warm, fresh, and perfectly crafted. The other two were of similar quality, the sizzling brownie was surprisingly better than expected, which I must admit was for our kid, and I thought silly to order. But the brownie was very hot and fresh, and was a kids delight. Ill definitely be back but at nearly $200 for the three of us itll be a more special occasion rather than a monthly trip.

Awesome food polite service, calamari and Greek salad

2024 valentines day was awful. After tip was over $100 a plate and I think my cat gets more/better quality food. If you are told this is a nice fancy meal dont believe it. If you defend it saying its fancy for the north then dont charge Vancouver prices for a poor dinner, from a falling apart establishment.

I find the food here is a hit or miss. The quality of the dishes is not consistent and the last couple times ordering the moussaka Ive been left disappointed. The Fettuccini Alfredo dish is very bland, needs salt, garlic, and Parmesan. The beef sounvlaki is always very good.

Nice place, great service, and fantastic souvlaki. I will go back forsure.

Great steak, cooked to perfection, calamari also cooked perfectly. The waiter has to be one of the most polite people I have ever met, johnny on the spot with drinks and appetizers, always gave full attention and listened. I highly recommend.

I had eggs benedict, and it was good cooked the way I wanted it to be. Coffee was freshly brewed, so I appreciate that. My colleague ordered a steak and it was not cooked properly it was too well done. But credit to them when he mentioned it they brought him back a new one that was very good. So nice recovery!

Me and my partner had dinner here for the first time as it was suggested by some family. Wasnt expecting much but were blown away by the food, service, and design of the place. Big thanks to Gurjeet, our server, for suggesting many of the items we had, and checking in on us throughout the evening.

Service was impeccable. We noticed immediately the server was working alone, but that didnt effect his great service. Food was OK. I had the steak & pasta, ordered medium rare & got medium well. Steak also didnt have much flavor to it. My MIL had shrimp skewers with greek salad, rice & potatos. No complaints, she loved it! Deep fried mushrooms were very good, and my fiancee said his shrimp Alfredo was very good! All in all, Id recommend coming here but get a Greek dish or pasta.

Very good place to eat. Friendly and welcoming service. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. I will be going back again. I recommend you do as well when youre in town. I had the lamb for my meal. Overall a very good choice. I was satisfied and happy as I left.

Absolutely Beyond fabulous service! I meant to call the Prince Ruperts location but got the Terrace one instead, and I couldnt have been happier with my mistake. Gurjeet answered and listened as I explained that my son had been injured at work and was unable to cook, cut his food or drive to pick anything up to eat. I picked out some meals and she made some suggestions leading to my final decision of their infamous lamb meal and lasagna meal. Boy did she pick the right ones, the lamb literally fell off the bone it was so tender juicy and tasty and the lasagna was mouth-wateringly delicious! She personally called The Prince Rupert location and set me up where they went above and beyond to make payment and delivery as easy as possible and meals that my son ate for 2 days that he was so incredibly grateful for. Thank you again Gurjeet for being the fabulous woman that you are!! If Im ever in Terrace I will be coming to see you and eat your delicious food! Although I did not get to go into the restaurant, I would imagine any business thats willing to go above and beyond like they did would have an atmosphere that is welcoming and makes you feel like you are VIP

Was super excited to go out for a nice date night to Sonbadas but was definitely disappointed. Waited over 2 hours to get our food; Once we received it the 12oz rib eye steak my partner received was less than 1/2 thin, had a huge piece of fat on it, looked like a steak you d get from dennys or something. The potato was served in one big piece and didn t have any flavour to it. We sat waiting for so long with empty drinks multiple times without being checked on. Definitely won t be going back any time soon unless big changes are made. Sad to see things have changed and not for the best

Long wait for drinks, long wait for food, nice server, wings were to be tossed in spices but came out plain, steak had no seasoning and veggies overdone. NEVER gave a bad review before but I should not leave a restaurant KNOWING I could have done better. Need to apologize to my coworkers who recommended this place for whatever slight I did that caused him to recommended this place. Kyle, Im sorry.

Went to Sonbadas with family last week. Food was fantastic. Our server was very professional. I love Greek food and this is probably the best Greek food I have had in long long time. Chef came from the kitchen to attend to our request for kid s special meal. Manager (can t remember her name) I think is probably the owner too, she double checked everything coming to our table was perfect coz of our kid s gluten free meal. She was very polite and professional. Appetizers were great, we had roast lamb and streaks. Roast lamb was so good and portion was huge. Even after eating so much I didn t feel like full and heavy, sign of great quality meat and other food ingredients. Will be going there again. I recommend everyone to go and try their food. You won t be disappointed.

Impressed by the warm welcome and the service. I was visiting Terrace from Toronto. Someone from my family in Terrace suggested Sonbadas to me saying this is best Greek food and steaks in Terrace so we went there on Sunday evening. Restaurant was busy but our server was on top of everything ensuing we were getting everything in time. Drinks were very good, loved Spankopita dinner and Sea food platter. Their homemade Ekmek desert was great. Never had that anywhere before. Highest recommendations if you are up for good quality proper cooked food with real Greek taste.

I was in Terrace for training classes for a week. Had dinner at Sonbada s for last 3 nights and they are absolutely fantastic. great Greek flavours and the best food in the town. Wish I had tried them earlier.

Asked to sit at a bigger table, and we thank the girl. Owner comes back accuses of acting inappropriate and she wont serve us. Turns out she was just uncomfortable serving a table full of camp guys cause they hit on her frequently. He apologizes but offence given already. Should have clarified with her on the why before offending the table. Food was good but they kept dropping it.

First time, last time. Was told I wouldnt be charged for the meal I did not get.

I would say this is the best steakhouse in town. Apart from a very friendly owner and staff, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is good too. Strongly recommend Steak Neptune and Roast Lamb and Saganaki.

The food here is a touch on the pricier side, but is always worth it. I have never been disappointed with the service or food whenever I go. And do yourself a favour and always order some Ekmek for dessert!

Passing through town and went here for dinner with my wife and two little girls. I had the Donair and my wife had the Chicken Souvlaki. Both were very good and a large helping. Wed definitely eat here again.

We ended up eating here both nights we stayed in Terrace. It was really good food. Odd though I only got a half of a potato the second night? Either way would recommend it.

A very memorable meal started off with the Saganaki, a Greek cheese fried and flamed with ouzo followed up with a 10oz. New York steak Oscar accompanied by roasted lemon potatoes and veggies. The hollandaise sauce was on point and the baby shrimp were as tender as they should be. Waiting staff were doing their best considering they were short-handed, and remained cheerful and friendly throughout the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Kalamarakla Kalamari Calamari. This is definitely the real deal. Beautiful ambiance. Super nice Server Leah. I know this is apparently the best place is Terrace... Wrong. Best Greek spot in Western Canada and maybe actually better than quite a few places in Montreal. Montreal is very diverse on its cuisine but sorry. This was just amazing.

I got the lamb with a side of garlic bread. For the price of $52 I dont think it lived up to the reviews that I was seeing. It was $4 for a piece of garlic toast. Overall the food was ok, I dont think it matched the price

It was mine and my husband s first time ever trying this restaurant. We drove by and I happened to see this place by chance and noticed how packed the parking lot was. Usually a sure fire sign of a good place. Tonight we decided to give this place a try and I was not only impressed but blown away. The atmosphere is warm and homey. The service is prompt, friendly, and inviting. We had a spectacular dinner for my birthday and polished it all off with one of the best desserts I ve had in a long time. Needless to say, I understand why this hidden gem has been in business for so long. I will definitely come back soon.

The food was good but the owner kept breaking plates and cussing afterwards, it was very loud, when we went to pay he started taking pictures of us hiding behind a plant.

Its alright. The food was average. I ordered the lamb sirloin. It was cooked alright; lacked seasoning, but theres salt on the table, so who cares? The service was alright too. They were short staffed that night and despite that fact, they pulled it off without a hitch.

The food was good for the location, I just really liked the fact that it had the godfather as there logo although it didn t really make much sense because it s a Greek restaurant and the godfather was Italian. I guess it s more of the novelty aspect of it. Anyway I guess that s what attracted me when I passed by it. Overall the food was decent, I had the lasagna and calamari.. If I go back to that town I would probably eat there again.

Great service, just had a few apps and dessert: Calamari, very good as it should be in a great restaurant Wings, unique spice, worth trying, I really like them but some may not like the spice combo Saganaki, very good, salty cheesy goodness with bread. Fun flaming presentation as well. Dessert: Ekmek, made in house, very very good, not too sweet with a refreshing taste and unique flavour colaboration. Theirs is raspberry.

The waitress was officiant and polite. The food was good. Menus could be written clearer and the seats could be better suited for the tables but over all it was good experience

Excellent! Had a rib eye and added an 8oz. Lobster tail. Cook on the steak was perfect, I mean perfect. Lobster tail was cooked perfectly as well. We were a group of 7 and showed up about a half hour before they closed. Had no problems. Every ones food was excellent from the apps right thru to dessert. Ill be back for sure and I recommend any one to try it.

Great ambiance, great service, fair prices, Popular restaurant, better book in advance, we were lucky to find a table, The vegetarian skewers on a bed of rice with lemon potatoes was delicious, I wish they had a vegetarian mussaka since we dont eat meat to have more options for vegetarian and vegan people.
