Very nice evening at Fabiens with family for a birthday. We all enjoyed our dishes the taste was there and the flank steak was delicious so magnificent I forgot to take photos of this spectacular dish. This place really has chefs in the kitchen who know how to cook, plus the vegetables were fresh in season and well seasoned. The service was very friendly and professional. I will renew as often as possible. Thank you for the quality!!

We found the place a little pretentious... For my part, for my dish: flank steak + Caesar salad (starter) I give it a 5/5, it was excellent, however my partner enjoyed her pasta dish less. For the price, something is missing for us to go back!

Okay where do I start??? The tuna tataki which has always been excellent very very mediocre and cold my partner asks for a filet mignon..$54 dollars filled with ribs!!! Which he had to return elsewhere to finish with a veal parmigiana escalope as hard as a rock. We could see that it had been prepared in advance and that they just had to make it au gratin. Poor him! I was so uncomfortable, I was the one who dragged him there because he wanted to go somewhere else...so we shouldnt have. I had a bottle of wine that indicated $62 on the menu and on my bill it was $65!!!!!! With incidentally no advice because she knew NOTHING! We turn over the filet mignon and the athletic miss waitress with concrete implants answers me: maybe you didnt cut it in the Common sense???? Calisse I spent my life at the bimbo restaurant!!!! Disappointed ++++++++ bad service bimbo and SUPER cheerful with 2 guys at the next table she knew. She came to and from the table very quickly to fill our glasses of wine and hurried back to chat!!!! FINISHED at this restaurant which used to be excellent with excellent service for the price go elsewhere really and if I want to see sexy girls Ill go to pare!

I think this restaurant is riding on its reputation! I went back after a good period of time and frankly the food is really disappointing! We clearly feel the lack of experience in the kitchen. The dishes we were served were extremely disappointing and even horrible. The dish of the day was surely prepared by a cook who had never tasted or designed a menu before! In short, we were served a wild boar that smelled and tasted of excrement! It was the last time for us!

Great experience, a very beautiful and clean place. The food was amazing, beautiful presentation, perfect cooking, great flavors and lovely portions. 4.5/5 stars. 0.5 less for lukewarm water we didnt run out of water all evening but it was lukewarm.

SERVICE 7 minutes of waiting before being served at the table is my disappointment. And that s after we ve looked through the menu and made our choice. No glass of water or anything like that. The service was just ok, nothing more to say. COKTAILS Long island iced tea: very soft compared to the norm. We wanted something strong but that wasnt the case at all. Disappointment. The waitress didnt know what alcohol was included in the Long Island Iced Tea. Lets just say that this is not THE place if you want to have drinks. FOOD The carne piena pizza is excellent!!! Wow!! It is light, tasty and a portion for 1 person; 2 people if youre not really hungry. OVERALL Correct experience. I might give it a 2nd chance with a different waitress and a different bartender . I came on a Tuesday at 5 p.m. so maybe the weekend will be better..

Very bad experience. We sat for 1.5 hours without ever getting our food. The waitress did not come to check on us to update us or offer us anything once our orders were placed. The tables around us, many of whom arrived well after us, had their dishes and some had finished eating when we left. They made us pay for our drinks and offered a simple sorry from the waitress. In short, never again.

Extraordinary atmosphere and impeccable service (professional, warm and smiling). Our starters were superb (perfectly grilled octopus, succulent scallops and a very successful warm goat cheese salad). That said, our main meals (rack of lamb and basil pizza) were a bit underwhelming for the price. In summary, very upscale restaurant, but a little expensive in our opinion.

Small quiet evening with closed terrace and several unfilled tables! But we had to wait almost 1h30 for our dishes which were hardly impressive but hey . The atmosphere was good and the people were courteous :)

What a disappointment! We have been going to Fabiens for over 10 years and the last two times were disappointing and yesterday it meant the end for us at this restaurant. The last time I had the flank steak and it disappointed me a little because it was a little tough so I went with a safe bet with the veal in a walnut crust...sadly, the veal was tasteless and dry, not of blue cheese sauce but also a tasteless brown sauce, the non-existent walnut crust, the orzo with completely charred bacon, boiled asparagus which looked like asparagus in a can (a sacrilege these days- this because there is very good asparagus from Quebec) my wife took the cod with mascarpone which we were looking for on the plate and in the flavors but the cod was still good but much too expensive for the dish in general. Usually I always finish with their famous strawberry shortcake because it was really delicious but yesterday no, I had seen enough of it like that, so no coffee and no dessert. In addition the time elapsed between our starter and the main course was was very long, I had the impression that they were doing it on purpose to stretch out the time so that we could have another bottle of wine Ah yes I almost forgot, the salmon tartare starter tasted so much like water that it didnt make any sense. Luckily the service was excellent, our waitress was very nice Please Chez Fabien tell me that you changed chef because at least that would explain the reason for my disappointment .

We went for my party twice, my sister pointed out that it was my party, and no wishes, not even a May West! Nothing at all! $230 for 2 people and only took 1 glass of wine each! The parmesan cheese entree was really not tasty! The bib was good luck! Lol.

One of my worst restaurant experiences ever! Hard to believe, isnt it? Especially since the food was very good and the service was up to par. But the atmosphere? Atrocious!!! If I had wanted to go clubbing and tear my vocal cords to chat, I wouldnt have gone to Chez Fabien! The restaurant is so loud that its almost impossible to chat. We had to shout all evening to hear each other. The crowd at the bar who down the shooters one after the other with the staff screaming, the tables of people who are too hot and who fill the ambient air with laughter at unnecessarily high decibels, people on all fours on the small staircase who are a hairs breadth away from tumbling out while trying to show that they are the ones having the most fun... ridiculous! Lets not forget, we are in a restaurant that prides itself on having a cozy atmosphere: Here is an extract from their website: Come take a well-deserved break and relax in the ambiance of a warm decor with rich and sumptuous colors. A place where you can enjoy a delectable meal in a warm atmosphere, all under soft lighting that calms the senses. FAIL! Conclusion: never again! P.S.: yes the dishes are good and well presented and yes the service is good. 4 stars for each of these categories. But the overall experience remains at 1 star. Because there is no way to score fewer points. P.P.S.: yes, an atmosphere can scrape a menu.

Good evening, we are coming back from our evening at Fabiens and this evening I must admit that it was unpleasant not because of the food or the service but because of the group next to us! Unfortunately they made inappropriate comments in addition to rude behavior!!! Our daughter was accompanying us for the first time (14 years old) and we had to explain that it wasnt usually like this!!! Thanks to our waitress Rebecca because she eased the tension but I would have really appreciated if the management intervened with the customers without judgment!!! I understand alcohol but it has limits with the lights on the right and left. In short when you have customers who are too drunk to call them a taxi! THANKS

Un excellent, mais excellent service et le menu dessert est génial, se n est pas un menu avec des photos, c est encore mieux, il passe directement à votre table avec tout les choix de desserts, c est un excellent concept. Et toutes la nourriture étaient vraiment excellentes J ai même vue plusieurs parents accompagner de leur enfant.

Great experience, the service was fast, we took the duo of dough and the carne piena pizza (cooked in a wood oven). We were also able to taste the salmon tartare and octopus. Generous portions and everything was excellent!

I went there with friends for the first time, the menu was so interesting that we had trouble stopping at just one dish each. The super friendly and professional waitress, knew her menu very well and helped us make our choices. The food was absolutely exquisite (I had the duck confit rolls as a starter with a buratta that we shared between 2 and the braised beef cheek as a meal ). The atmosphere was perfect with good music and the pizza oven next door was simply magnificent!! I recommend 100%!!!

The quality/price ratio is not there, it is excessive. Its good, but still, the prices are way too high. And whats more, the last time I went there (and I wont go back), the waitress got angry saying that I wasnt giving her enough tip, even though I was giving her the equivalent of taxes, therefore 15%. Getting yelled at by a waitress, no thanks!

Cozy atmosphere, attentive and professional staff, everything was excellent Caesar salad rarely as good elsewhere then pizza cooked in a wood oven with shrimp!!! Their first red wine on their wine list, private import, Bliss is excellent, affordable $37 for such a good wine. Bravo to the chef and their entire team who make this place a popular place. The terrace is lovely at this time of year, but at lunch time on a Wednesday, it was very quiet, perhaps not so much because it was the middle of the week but perhaps because of the prices. The resto was recommended for being the best pizza around. When pizza arrived, i was surprised at the small size - fit inside a 9 inch plate. I ordered the one with mushrooms (counted 4 on the pie), shrimp (maybe 5?), with leak (very small amount cut into tiny tiny pieces so of course they were like little dry flakes that had no taste. My friend had the vegetarian pizza (i ve seen more vegetables honestly on a frozen DrOetker pizza you buy for 4,99$. We had 2 beers, which was NOT COLD, and was warm by the time we finished our 1 hour lunch. I was treating my friend for lunch for her birthday. Left there with an 80$ bill + the tip . The only positive thing i can say is that our server was very nice and efficient. Did i order the wrong thing off their menu ? Perhaps . But i am very sure I will not be returning as i m pretty sure that if what we ate was 26$ for pizza the rest of the menu must be more than the $$$.

Food really does not live up to the reputation and the prices are exaggerated. The warm goat cheese salad with peaches was very disappointing with a handful of mixed greens, a few walnuts and canned peaches...for $29 it was very, very ordinary.

We decided to try a new restaurant in our friends neighbourhood that had GF items on their menu. We made reservations and we re seated immediately I believe that was the only thing that was done correctly as then it was all downhill from there. Although the outdoor seating was lovely the flies were outta control and the tables were wobbly. There was a customer who walked in and tripped on her way in and only the other customers around including my party helped her out. I even said give this woman some ice. They provided us with complementary meatballs (actually everybody got them). We ordered a few entrees, such as grilled octopus, and three salads. These overpriced entrees were small and we were starved. The octopus was hard, overcooked and tasteless at a heaping $29. We ordered cannelloni, and three GF pizzas. Honestly frozen meals would have tasted better. All meals had no flavour. We waited over an hour for these entrees and when we asked the waitress, her excuse was its gf crust! The waitress was insensitive and looked annoyed when asking her when the meal was coming. When the meal finally arrived, the gf pizzas looked like McCain frozen pizzas. I am gf and this was the most disgusting gf pizza crust I ve ever tasted. My two friends were so unimpressed that they boxed their pizzas and as I am typing this, they are preparing meals at home as they are starved. The bill was $205. What a waste of money that is all. Of course we gave no tip how could we possibly do so? I m not sure what all the hype is because it appears that those that frequent this tasteless joint live in a box in their neighborhood as they have no idea what is out there for restaurants as they likely don t venture out of their hood. I am happy to pay this amount for the bill if it s the perfect service, perfect food and has attentive service but certainly not at this place hell no! What a waste of money especially in this hard times. Trust me don t do it especially if you are seeking gf items.

The Italian style food is good. The service very good. Good atmosphere and fairly spacious premises...the prices rather above average so with taxes and tipping, it can add up quickly. Dietary restrictions: Some dishes offered gluten-free.

Its my first experience with this restaurant, so I was well received despite the fact that I arrived a little late compared to closing time, I sat at the bar and I was really well served. and welcomed by a magnificent bartender a lovely girl with a beautiful smile and extended helpfulness, I am really happy and spoiled to spend an hour with this service and this kind person -Allissa thank you very much Le Fabien, thank you Alissa it was a great pleasure.

Nice littel restaurant in Terrebonne. Well located in a lively area. We ate on the terrasse ajacent to the restaurant. They have another in front of the restaurant (in the street) as it is a pedestrian mall. The service was a bit slow as it was a saturday night and they were quite busy. We had the burrata, ceasar salad and pizza. The entrées came quickly but the pizza took a while. In the end they did not charge us for the second glass of wine I had. I would go back as the food and atmoshere was good.

There were 20 of us to celebrate my brothers birthday, everyone enjoyed their meal. In the context of staff shortages and inflation, it is important to highlight the quality of the service, the exceptional dishes that were served to us and the more than reasonable bill. I recommend it!

Very nice first experience at Fabien. We had dinner on a Monday. It is now rare to have a restaurant open on Monday. We all ate well: salmon tartare, pasta and white fish. Succulent! Easy parking.

(See photo) meatball with chef boyardi flavor sauce what could be better than to garnish all from pieces of salad large enough to feed my rabbit. Dish of overcooked U10 scallops with a very heavy sauce of caramelized tomato salsa with maple syrup masks the taste of the food taking over the central food. The main meal was ok but not worth $32 for a pizza and $45 for a flank steak. Restaurant based on a past reputation...

Ive wanted to eat at Chez Fabien for several years because Ive heard a lot of good things about it in the past. So I make up my mind and were going to have a romantic meal with my partner. We had a starter of scallops, a Mediterranean pizza and fish. We received an appetizer, the famous meatballs with the chefs sauce. Meatballs too soft and the sauce had a burnt taste. When the scallops arrived, a slight smell of not fresh fish came with them. My partner points out the smell to me and I confirm. I smelled the scallops, there was a slight smell but nothing too serious so we decided not to say anything. The cooking was perfect but the accompaniment, a kind of bitter ratatouille, spoiled the experience. The fish was excellent, the beetroot and pistachio crust crispy and delicious. The cooking of the fish and vegetables was once again perfect but the crunchy rice was dry and unpleasant to eat. The pizza was ok but nothing more, the sauce tasteless but plenty of cheese. The service was courteous and intentional. On the other hand, my comment about rice went in one ear and out the other, it changed the conversation. Average experience, below my expectations given the reputation of the restaurant. We wont go back, its not worth it.

Very disappointing!!! Its no longer Le Fabien from a few years ago. I went there to eat a wood-fired pizza. What a disappointment!!!!

Fabien is my favorite restaurant! I come for the Fabien pasta, our family goes there often too. My partner used to go there before for the mushroom risotto which is unfortunately no longer on the menu. Everything is delicious! I have to try the squash pasta (had good reviews). The salmon tartare or bouratta as a starter is incredible. The atmosphere at Fabien is fabulous, good music, not too loud, dim lighting, good drinks, the red sangria is very tasty! The waitresses and waiters are friendly and even charming! A great team. Every time someone asks me for restaurant advice, I recommend this place and I still do today. A place to discover and adopt! The prices are expensive but its better to pay a little more for such good quality! Wow wow wow, see you soon

Impeccable service from Maxyme this afternoon. Very very attentive to our group. Excellent suggestions for meal selection. Everything was delicious, presentation out of the ordinary, tasty and very fresh ingredients. Beautiful touch of originality in each of the dishes, the art of transforming certain classics! Good choice of table d hôte at lunchtime, but for the price you would have to consider adding a dessert

Les plats principaux étaient correct mais cétait dispendieux. Un veau parmigiana pour 35$ cest un peu abusif. Je pense que jy retournerai mais peut être pour une pizza au four à bois.

It s a shame that the art of cooking is being lost! Very disappointing!

The cuisine seems exceptional at first glance but the mixing of certain flavors is very risky, scallops with fruit ketchup?? We didnt like it, however, nice place, Ill go back, the little meatballs as a starter are very good, very tasty!

Disappointed. 1. Wine: a pinot noir, funny smell and effervescent taste, according to the sommelier its normal, suggests decanting it, it has improved but a wine rated 3.2 on Vivino is not worth $64. We should have chosen another wine after tasting it at the beginning. 2. Starter: grilled octopus, too grilled, one part was completely burnt. Difficult to cut with a knife. Really limited cooking. 3. main dishes: Tuna tataki very good. Gratinated meat cannelloni, good. 4. Dessert: Crème brulée, indeed, the caramelized sugar on the surface tasted like brulee. AVERAGE. 5. Service: Good service. 6. Dont trust the sommelier, he wasnt there for us but to sell. For an evening over $200 for 2 people I dont think well go back, not good value for money.

Quite disappointing ..as many have mentioned, this restaurant has built on its reputation a few years ago. It was our first and last visit. Meatballs in sauce that appeared to be canned sauce. Tomato soup .it was like eating blender crushed tomatoes ..no taste. Rice not cooked and very dry, the waitress quickly changed it. White fish no flavor. Side of pork blackened, but passable. Ordinary desserts, all for a bill of $220 before tips. Oh yes, everyone should know that you never tip on the price of the bottle of wine. I was so excited to go value for money, it s our worst experience ever. But I give good marks to the 2 waitresses!

Thank you for the beautiful evening it was simply sublime, Julie our waitress was really A1. Our dishes were incredible. Fabien, Émilio and Victor ensure that this restaurant is and will always be a must in Old Terrebonne.
