Do not attend if you are above 20 years old. They claim we are too intoxicated at 10pm despite not having a lick of alcohol. Clearly they only want girls below 21 yrs

This world we left and one of the people with us left their wallet behind. It fell out from her coat as they exited the establishment. CJ. An excellent attendant. Chased us out of the bar into the freezing cold night in a T-shirt to make sure our friend had their wallet. A wonderful evening, a great atmosphere.

I do not recommend this place. We came with the DJ last night and the owner was denying us entry. We had brought a crowd with us to help the business flourish and instead they refused our people entry because one smelt like weed. Then began to make excuses as to why he didn t want a DJ after he called for one himself. He was also being rude to his staff. The owner is a racist old white man. Cancelled the DJ last minute because he looked like a troublemaker . Would not reccommend this place. Had the DJs drive down from toronto only to cancel last minute. We will be filing a human rights discrimination case against the business.

My husband and I sat on the patio over looking the Mill pond. It was beautiful. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the ahi tuna Tostada and the oriental chicken salad. If you like red sangria, I highly recommend you order the pitcher. Its sweet, crisp, refreshing and delicious. The best Ive had in a long time.

I was there on Sunday Nice location. The service was good, but I found out why this was the only restaurant empty in the village, over price, small portions, and nothing special about it, I do not recomend this location to anyone, my recomendetions to the manager is, never make french fries a small portion, potato is $1.80 per pound. $34,00 for a sandwich you can make at home for $5,00

This restaurant is in a great location, and the service was decent, but the food was a real letdown way overpriced for the quality. I had the blackened shrimp Alfredo, and it was completely bland. The three small shrimp were the only part that had any flavor. We were a large group, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. They really need to either improve the food or lower their prices to match the quality.

The good: Amazing location with a great view by the water. Accommodating and kind staff and service. The bad: The food ... was not good. The Smoked Salmon Tower was not made with fresh avocado, as one would expect for the price, but rather tasted like a store bought puree that left much to be desired. Blackened tiger shrimp on the farfalle pasta dish turned out to be the tiniest shrimp smothered in a sauce that tasted overly salty. I found this hilarious actually, except the dish cost over $30 and I was expecting what the menu description stated.

Food was pretty good. Service was simply awful. After food landed at our table we didn t see our server again, so extremely disappointing - especially for the prices paid. Finally, my pet peeve: bathroom doors extremely pretentious. Why do people have to put these stupid pictures on the doors rather than just tell you which is which.

I had an extremely negative experience at this establishment after my business partnership conference. Long story short business partner hosted at blue mountain resort. We arrived amazing presentation, event venue planning. After party decided to come into the village to have fun and after party. Upon arriving all was good till the bill was not covered by default. No problem I dont expect our partners to cover the entire night. Fair right? I decided to order a round for my partners, all is well till I thought I made a reasonable request may I have the receipt? The male bartender put in a stern voice you need to request a head of time. I was extremely put off by this. I thought I had asked nicely but instead got lectured that I need to inform for a receipt and invoice in advance. In what world does transactions take place and by default does not have invoice i thought? I proceeded to order more drinks and rounds as requested by my colleagues and each time I felt I was begging putting my hands together each time to ask them (host) for an invoice and receipt of transaction each time. I have never experienced this in other Canadian establishments, US or Asian countries to beg for receipts in my life. I will likely never recommend blue mountain and never personally return because of this experience. Hope everyone else gets treated better due to this review and their management sees this. Likely they wont care I saw other low reviews and is common among high demand resorts.

Music was not good, A group of 15 people kicked out because one person smoked cannabis outside due to a house rule which there are no signs, no refund and cover was $5 each person we barely were in the establishment for 10 minutes. Joke of a place dont come here. Creeps everywhere, cant use credit for purchases under $40

As a group of 14 people, we decided to head to bar. There is a $5 cover cash only, we all paid one taking out money for all with ATM. No body search was done on anyone who went in and no sign/mention of house rules Purchases of under $40 have to be cash, so making ppl spend more on drinks. Most of group stay outside for sometime one who got drinks decided to head out, smokes weed which is legal in Canada wants to head back in and is denied entry. Our whole group is now denied entry due to unsure who is intoxicated or not meanwhile ppl are drinking and who knows what else in the bathroom yet we are the problem. They were watching our group yet don t know who was smoking. Refused to refund our money and even offer any type of apology. Terrible business. Plus one member of the group who showed up later was charged $10 cause he was alone. While two girls in front of him were no charge. Absolutely ridiculous.

We went on a saturday and the dj was great. The dancefloor was packed all the way until pass 1am. The staff also allowed us access to the vip area for our party. I highly reccomend to come out if youre staying in the area

A group of 15 of us decided to go to Kaytoo for our night out. We were charged $5 per person for our group (cash only) and one of our friends who arrived later was unfairly charged $10 just because he was alone. To make matters worse, the two women in front of him went in for free this is inconsistent and unfair. We were inside for about 15 minutes. The music was okay. Some of our group members decided to go outside and we later all went to join them outside. The whole group was then DENIED re-entry due to one member of our group having had smoked weed (which is legal in Canada). The bouncer said according to house rules we d be too intoxicated and they were unsure of who was intoxicated . They must ve been unsure because no one in our group was acting disruptive or uncontrolled at all. You can get more intoxicated inside the club than outside especially when the minimum purchase amount for drinks is $40 if paying by card. These house rules were not explained to us beforehand and the bouncer should have approached us and given us a warning when he noticed someone about to smoke since he was clearly watching us. They would not give us a refund or any sort of apology. We just wanted to have a fun night with our friends but definitely won t be coming back here.

Overpriced mediocre everything.

Pretty mediocre dining experience. Looking at the menu and prices, we were expecting much better. The $50 steak looked and tasted like it had come from a grocery store. Our meals were equivalent to an okay chain restaurant but double the price. The positives were that the hosts and servers were very friendly and the patio was lovely. Huge drinks menu.

I want to share a review about our server Mika who more than made our elderly mother feel special. Mika made her day by giving her special attention and really making her laugh. We really appreciated his thoughtful ways of taking care of our family. The restaurant patio was beautiful overlooking Mill Pond and the food was delicious and pleased a variety of ages and palates, but the service stood out above all. Thank you Mika and Kaytoo for a lovely lunch in The Blue Mountains. Wheelchair accessibility: We were able to access the patio with a wheelchair.

The food was terrible and the prices are ridiculous. $40 for Nachos that barely had any cheese and the meat was dry. Drinks are outrageously priced. If they were going to be that expensive the food should be At least half decent! Edit based on owners response below - Correct Nachos are $28, you will notice I said the beef was dry, adding beef was $12 hence, $40. Also the wrong order came out. The server asked us if we wanted it anyways, we asked if we would be charged to which she responded yes. Please dont assume nothing was said about the quality of the food. Things were said just nothing was done about it. The owners response however is everything you need to know about the service youll receive, take it for what you will.

Where to start with the awesome most thoughtful manager and waitress that served us. The moment the manager knew that our order was late, he came sat down and assured us that it s on the house and refused to charge us even after ordering two more dishes! I love this restaurant and I will always go back there when I visit Blue Mountain.

Holli and Kristian were unbelievable to our large group that were in need of a place to host children and parents tired from a dance competition. They stepped when other restaurants in the village would not due to the hour. They gave us the red carpet treatment along with fantastic food and beverages with smiles on their faces. They treated the kids with amazing patience. Holli even saw us the next day and wished us good travels. We can t wait to go back! It will be the first restaurant we go to in Blue Mountain!! It is a must for all!!

I always want to support local and singular restaurants. Kaytoo has been a happy spot for 20 years. My husband and I happened to go Wednesday after a memorial event. Food: just ok, needing a lot of heat/acid/salt/love. (Tuna tostada, still a better value than El Camino though.) Service: special thanks to Mika and our server for just being top notch with making sure we were well attended along with our dog. Dog friendly is a necessity at blue. Thanks again Kaytoo.

On the menu they talk up the food to sound really good, but a lot of it is store bought or frozen food that doesn t justify the prices they charge. My dad and I got burgers and by default the side dish was 1/4 of a bag of miss Vickie s chips. You have to pay extra to upgrade to fries. The rice in my step mom s jambalaya was really dry and hard. If the prices were cut in half, it would be worth it. The waiter was really honest about where they source their ingredients from and what were good items on the menu. The waiter provided a great service and he was really funny. There were a lot of seagulls waiting to snatch food away from the people eating and it made me kind of nervous to eat in the outside part. Overall not worth the money, firehall pizza is 30 meters away and you get more and fresh ingredients there.

Our party of 8 absolutely adored Jacob. He was our best server from our whole weekend stay at blue mountain. He cracked great jokes, was very attentive, and quick with every service. We really appreciated having such great service for our Saturday night meal! The food was also really great too - I ordered the falafel burger which I appreciated so much it not being a fake meat patty but instead something curated by the restaurant! Would recommend to future parties thinking of going here.

So fun Dietary restrictions: We had a Celiac and a vegan/gluten free person with us and both were happy with the stir fry with rice. Kid-friendliness: The kids were thrilled with the treasure box and we loved that Meghan asked if we would like the kids meals brought out first.

Only reviewing from dinning experiences. As locals, we have had several meals here over the years. We usually find the whole experience mediocre - not horrible but it leaves alot to be desired. The location is nice and if weather permitting, sit outside! Food

This review has taken me awhile to get to as life is busy . We had booked a team dinner at this restaurant October 21 2023 as we staying at the resort for a hockey tournament. When the reservation was made we were told we need to pre order our meals , which is fine as we are a large group and this is not the first time a restaurant has requested this . Now onto the visit . When we arrived there was a 6 top , 2 2 tops and 4 people at the bar , I will also mention the 4 top that was there but was related to our team . Our servers Brad and Aspen were quick to grab all the kids drinks and then shortly after the kids got them they moved on to us . At this point I would like to point to out that Brad and Aspen did a wonderful job hence the service rating . They were basically left alone to handle our party of roughly 50 . The GM did walk by many times never made any eye contact , spoke to anyone of us nor did he assist Brad and Aspen in anyway ( his name is Steve) . The kids food came out promptly, however the adult meals did not come out until about 45 minutes after the kids food , anyone with kids know when they are done they are done so this lag in between meals was not good at all . Finally the adult selections came out and we had to rush through eating as the kids were getting restless , at this point most parents were wondering what was taking so long as we PRE ORDERED a week in advance . Not once durning this whole stay did we see anyone besides our servers lift a single dish to help out . While our servers were putting the bills together ( they looked very stressed out and sad ) I found the manager as I wanted to address our concerns , she really didn t seem to care so I asked her to find the GM so I could speak to him directly . Steve the GM never came . I was the one who found Steve and talked to him about our service ( again nothing to do with our servers personally , just the speed or lack there of ). When I brought up our concerns his response was we were told to get the kids drinks and food and let the adults have a drink before their food came out ( not true as I spoke with the person who made the reservation) . We were there for almost 1.5 hrs before the adult meals came out , when I asked him if he thought this was acceptable his reply was that s what we were told to do so we did it . Absolutely no care at all from Steve . I would like to mention we were there for 3 hours , ridiculous. No we were not looking for a free meal or compensation. I know sometime has passed since we ve been there and I can only hope that Steve has been removed from his position and Brad and Aspen have been recognized for their amazing abilities . I would like to apologize to Brad and Aspen for taking so long to write this review and I hope they are doing well with whatever they are doing . Bottom line here is don t go there with large groups unless you have 3 plus hours to spare . Also thank you to the chefs as the food was delicious.

I highly recommend hosting an event at Kaytoo Restaurant & Bar. We recently held our second event at this lovely establishment. We had excellent communication and assistance with the planning and executing of this event with Magdalena and we look forward to working with her and the staff at Kaytoo again in the future.

Had the best lunch time experience at Kaytoo thanks to Jess and Mika. The food, atmosphere and service is incredible. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the village. The Canadian club was delicious and our children loved the treasure chest at the end!

We were here for a 30th birthday celebration. Our service was phenomenal!. Our waiter was friendly and funny. One of the best servers we ve had! The food was also great! And it came out at a decent time. For critique I would say the appetizers on the menu are over priced for what they are hence the 4 stars for food.

Literally waited an hour before a server even talked to us and then another half hour for our menus (only reason we waited was cause we were curious how long it could possibly take) and then they somehow gave the food to the wrong table and still didn t realize they messed up even after just sitting down the people who got our food so they had to redo it for us which ended up being the wrong order. ultimately about 2 hours for one of us to get the wrong food. They did however apologize and give us a little discount

I could live off their appetizers alone! You must try the fried pickles, cauliflower, and perogies. Just a heads up if you go late, the atmosphere changes (more of a club scene). I enjoyed the music but it was difficult to converse.

Food so bad! No wonder the restaurant was almost empty while the others are fully booked. Didnt have any choice when I decided going there! Never ever again...

Food was bland, and the bill was erroneously charged for double the drinks and there were add-ons added to the bill for montreal smoked meat sandwich without them being ordered and the bartender was very rude when this was brought to his attention ... A pint of corona beer , a ceaser and a montreal smoked sandwich ended up costing $93 (without the tip) .... go figure ...

Jordi was our bartender/waiter and Steve was the manager for happy on Christmas Day. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable and polite and spent a lot of time answering our questions as we are from out of town. Enjoyed the time immensely. Very disappointing. Expensive food and small Portions for the cost. They were not busy, service was not great. We will never go back. Paid $180 for 2 orders of Reuben and fries, perogies and chicken fingers. Ridiculous. Oh and the server forget the perogies and only took half the cost of that off. We should have complained when we were there but it s not our style but now I wish I had.

I have restaurant experience and for what they are charging for food here is absolutely crazing compared to what you get. My husband and dad had the Rueben and one had the smallest amount of sauerkraut and the other didn t have any, as well as, 2 pieces of cheese on each. Not worth the $6 upgrade. On top of that our server forgot my order, which happens and is understandable if it is busy, however in this case, there were only 3 other tables and she was only serving us. When correcting this rather then comping my whole meal, as they should have, they gave me 50% off my meal. She also only checked on our table twice maybe 2 times after the food was dropped off which includes us having to remind her about my meal (which I don t think is appropriate given that she had no other tables, other than one other table that came in near the end of when I got my meal). The only thing that was good was my mother s chicken fingers (which are hard to mess up). Summary: Don t go here, food is not good for what they charge.

Easily the worst restaurant in blue mountain village. Theres a reason this place is always half-empty. The food prices are absurdly high and the quality of the food is, at best, mediocre. Service is also pretty slow.

I would love to go again ,again and again. The staff, atmosphere, service and food are a-class Vegetarian options: Pesto - Pasta.. must try for veggie ppl

Waiter was amazing! We had a one hour time limit. We got pretty drunk. Burger isn t worth $28. (Not worth it). Great over all time with the fellas

Service is great! Kaytoo Burger and chicken strips eerily delicious, visually youd think its normal food but it felt like for a moment I had taken a detour through Flavortown. Unfortunately it turns out this Ontarian Flavortown is mega gentrified or something, because the food is roughly $25 for like five chicken fingers or $25 for a burger and Ms Vickis chips. If this food was $13 or even $15 Id come here every month but unfortunately it costs more than an evening lift ticket. It does also provide a warm indoor place to sit though, and if you happen to be coming here on a company credit card or something...

Food was acceptable. Service was a little slow. Great atmosphere with a cabin feel and views of the water. Cozy!

We chose this restaurant for dinner at Blue Mountain on a weeknight. Since there were not many other guests, we didn t have high expectations. However, we were very pleased that not only the food was delicious, but the service was also quite good. We had a pleasant stay. One dinner time.

The kaytoo stir fry was so bland, the texture of the noodles was really odd and the spicy peanut sauce had barely any taste. I felt like I was eating plain boiled noodles with no flavour and salt. Service was ok but the food was so bad. The burger was dry too with barely any sauce. Very underwhelming. So not worth it.

Great atmosphere and good food. Our food took a bit long to be served, but the waitress was very apologetic and explained that the kitchen got swamped with a bunch of orders at the same time. Overall it was a good time. Well be back again.

I ve been to this restaurant before and thought it would be a great option for my family and I because the menu has something for everyone. However, our server was nice but messed up a few things and took so long to come back to us every-time. The food was worse than the service we received. 3/4 of us didn t even eat half of our meals. To describe the food as mediocre would be putting it nicely. I hate writing this but I would avoid eating here.
