180 Jozo Weider Blvd, The Blue Mountains, ON L9Y 0V2, Canada
This cool waterfront spot with a deck features flights of house-brewed beers & seasonal pub fare .
We had a truly fabulous lunch here today at Blue Mountain! We had the Roasted Winter Mushroom and beet salad with goat cheese and we shared an order of the BBQ Brisket Perogies. Both dishes were amazingly good!!! We are picky foodies and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. And Kate, our server, could not have been more lovely. Thanks Northwinds, we’ll be back!
If you're looking for a great place to enjoy craft beer, tasty food, and a relaxed atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit. Located in a vibrant area, this spot stands out among many local eateries with its wide selection of craft beers that are both flavorful and affordable. Whether you're a beer connoisseur or just someone looking to unwind, there's something for everyone on their drink menu. The food is equally satisfying—offering a solid selection of sandwiches, wings, and fresh salads, all served in generous portions. While it may not be the most upscale dining experience, the quality of the food is great for the price, and it pairs perfectly with their beers. Overall, this place is one of the better dining and drinking spots in the area. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a cold beer with friends, grab a bite to eat, and relax in a welcoming environment. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a laid-back, enjoyable experience!
Wonderful time and delicious food! We went to Northwinds Brewpub in Blue Mountains with my friends all the way from Toronto. The food was super yummy and the beer amazing. Jeremiah took care of us providing an outstanding customer service and giving us the best recommendations. Super friendly environment. We had a memorable time. I totally recommend to try the blue cheese hamburger and the pretzels. The IPA and Amber beers are delicious. We will be back soon!
We have eaten in many of the Blue Mountain restaurants and wanted to try something new. A Blue Mountain employee recommended this place and we were very impressed. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and attentive. Brittany was our server, she was fantastic and I have to say one of the best we have ever had. The food was amazing! We had the pretzel balls, chicken wings, smash burger, tallow fries and a Shirley Temple. My daughter said hands down the best restaurant in the village. Thank you for a great dinner. We will be back!
Honestly, this may be the best restaurant at Blue. Every year I come I say that about another restaurant, but none of them are consistent and they never live up to expectations the year after. What I like about Northwinds is that it doesn't try to be any more than a pub - the menu is exactly as expected (heavy on burgers, wings, etc) and they have an extensive beer offering. The prices are good for Blue Mountain and the service is fast. I had the Spicy Dill Burger ($26) which was a generous portion and a huge mountain of fries. The burger was great but I really could not finish it. The fries were fantastic. I also ordered a Brewhouse caesar ($16) which was fantastic. I wasn't a huge fan of the cauliflower bites ($15) that I ordered, but that may have been because I was extremely full and could not stomach any more food. My friends' meals also looked good and I heard no complaints. Definitely will be back next year, if we can get a seat! It's always packed, and for good reason.
Super nice place lots of options for everyone. They were able to accommodate Dairy free bread option for burger buns! Bathrooms are downstairs and not wheelchair accessible. Pretzel bites were amazing and super good and served in a jar was interesting and different. The only thing was they got steamy and bottom ones were a bit soggy. Would come back and recommend.
Northwinds Brewpub in Blue Mountain Village is a fantastic spot! The restaurant is spacious inside with plenty of seating options, including a lovely patio that offers a great view of the pond and paddle boat rides. There’s a nice mix of table seating and high booths, and lots of umbrellas for shade when needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and recommended the perfect drink options. Service was quick, and the drinks were both visually appealing and delicious. I highly recommend this place for its drinks, views, and overall vibe. A must-visit if you're in the area!
This place is great. A fun atmosphere, large TVs to watch sports, great beer and the cocktails were excellent as well. We ordered dinner and the portions that came out were very generous. The pretzels are highly recommended, the cheese sauces and mustard that comes with it just makes it that much better. They didn't have any vegan options on the menu. But were very accommodating and made an excellent meal for me the only vegan there. You won't be disappointed here so definitely do yourself a favour and have a drink and a bite here.
Great establishment with amazing service! Went out with a couple of friends and Brittany was able to make a good night absolutely amazing! Thank you for the fantastic hospitality. Great food, amazing food, and brilliant atmosphere. Thanks for always making sure we are well taken care of! If you re there make sure you ask to get Brittany s section! Highly recommend!
Food was good, service was ok, not more. But prices... 16$ for a small cocktail! Beers are more affordable but food and drinks in general are very expensive. The kitchen was very noisy as well. The look of the restaurant is very nice
Great place my favourite place to grab a beer and some food at Blue! Great service Friendly staff! Not sure about these new shirts tho? The staff looks like minions xD
Hi everyone. Me again! Still here two hours after my first review. Great music, great food, great beers! Thanks Olivia for great service!
Great burger! Great lunch spot in the village
Beef tallow fries!!! I was so excited to see this, as well as quality ingredient choices throughout the entire menu (e.g. sea salt, whole grain honey mustard) instead of conventional, less healthy/quality ones. I was so surprised to see fries made in beef tallow instead of vegetable oil and hope they continue to serve with healthy, quality ingredients like this. The fish n chips was the biggest and crispiest haddock Ive ever tried. It was very satisfying and I didnt realize how flavorful haddock could be. Highly recommend.
We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Northwinds Brewpub. We were a group of two couples, and the service was awful from the start. Despite there being plenty of available tables, we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seated. The situation only got worse when my friend accidentally spilled his beer before even having a sip. When we asked for assistance, the waitress literally tossed two paper napkins onto the table without offering any help to clean up. We had to ask someone else, who finally brought us more napkins something any decent restaurant staff would handle themselves without hesitation. I also had to ask if they could replace the spilled beer without charge, which she reluctantly checked with the manager (something that should have been automatic). In the end, they did bring the replacement beer, but only because I specifically asked (however, I have to admit it was a decent gesture on their part). Unfortunately, the nightmare didn t stop there. All four of us ordered the same burger, and every single one came with the meat overcooked to the point of being burnt. It had a distinct, unpleasant taste as if it had absorbed residue from previous greasy fry-ups. We had no choice but to call the manager and complain. To their credit, they did remove the plates and didn t charge us for the food, but by then the damage was done. We left immediately, vowing never to return to this place. If you care about good service and quality food, I recommend you avoid Northwinds Brewpub at all costs.
They told us they were closed even though doors were unlocked and the website and sign on the restaurant says open till 11 and we came in at 9:30.
it has a great variety of beers and you have to stick to that. The food wasnt good at all and isnt worth the price.
This is my favourite restaurant in the village. Its not the most expensive but its the best. I have been a number of times but this time I came with a group of 19 women. There was no reservation made. They were not expecting us. But the hospitality and the service we received from the minute we stepped in the door to the minute we left was exceptional. And out of 19 people, 19 people absolutely loved their meals. How often does that happen? I wish I could remember our servers name because she was fantastic. Every order was perfect the first time. It was served with a smile on her face and she was helpful and friendly. Also kudos to the kitchen, not only for the delicious food, but also for the fact that we all ate at the same time. It was served so timely...for 19 people! This should be your go to place! Honestly, I wish we had eaten here every night because we did not have good luck at our other choice.
Friendly staff and good beers this was my favorite spot when traveling through Blue Mountain
Use to enjoy coming here when we would visit Collingwood. Seriously would not waste my time here. Services is horrible, there was only us and another two small tables sitting waiting for service. Took over 20 mins to get our food order in. The server was to busy chatting with the other servers and manager. Not once did she come and check on us to see how things were or even ask if we wanted refills. But when it came to payment time she was trying to be so sweet to make sure she got a decent tip. Being in the hospitality industry myself you can see why people are choosing not to bother going out anymore its service and attitude like this that ruins your experince.
I first visited this brewery in 2019 and returned in 2024 everything is still fantastic! The service is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is delicious, and the ambience is as welcoming as ever. The only minor difference was the music, which didn t quite match the vibe like it did before. Overall, it remains one of my favorite spots for great beer, food, and atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Several styles to choose, but I can only review the porter and stout- highly recommended. Porter is classic, excellent, the (black) stout has some welcome and unique notes, but definitely in character.
Northwinds accommodated our large group, finding space on the patio, and my parents for their 52nd anniversary had an absolute blast, the food and service were exceptional!
This place has gone steadily downhill for the last few years. Beer is still OK but the food is crap. Even the go to fries are now frozen and well below average. There are much better options in the village. Also seeem quite ironic to still be showing bike videos when Blue has killed biking at the mountain and done a serious blow to the entire Ontario downhill scene.
Service was great and beer was cold with lots of options. There are not many vegan options on the menu, unfortunately. Youd think a veggie burger on the menu would be standard at a pub in a place like the village!
Tried the flight of beers, and the waitress gave good recommendations. Burgers were satisfying. Nice vibes.
Dinner was just ok. The wrap was mushy and terrible. I told the waitress and her response was, I know it s bad. Why would she not tell me? Choose a better spot.
Great spot. Awesome staff and the food is really solid. Had the smash burger and my wife had the jerk chicken salad (both delicious).
Enjoyed a great meal and our server was amazing Ella did an exceptional job serving 18 of us. She was lovely and and amazing server would definitely recommend!
Great service, beer and beerpub fries!
I tried 4 different beers. They were okish. I was super disappointed with Chicken slider that they server. Slider bread was falling apart making it impossible to eat. Bread alone was not eatable.
Great food. Wide selection. Cold beer. Our server was awesome and funny Will definitely be back
Probably the worst meal I have had in a very long time and disappointing as this is our first time to Blue Mountain village. Don t try the burrito bowl, it was so bad. The chicken Parmesan wrap was soggy and dripping everywhere and we asked for no onions and it was full of it. Server offered to change it and manager came over but by then we were both feeling pretty miserable about the meal. They took off less than $4 off the meal.
Being ignored for 30 minutes The whole time we were there it seemed like we were being ignored by the wait staff. Our wait time before we finally left was just under 30 minutes. The sad part is that my group and I were ready to order with food and drinks in mind, but no one came to serve us. We were not even served a glass of water. Additionally, it seemed making eye contact/waving a couple times seemed useless and to no avail. We weren t in the corner or anything so there s no excuse for us to not be seen. It was quite disappointing and sad because I heard so many positive things about the beer. I was really excited for the 14 beer flight on the skateboard. Sadly, it wasn t meant to be.
Went to northwinds the other night the staff was so amazing. Stephanie the red head was one of the nicest people ever she was so helpful and kind. 10/10 recommend this place and recommend Stephanie
The best burgers in my life! Definitely will come back and recommend this place!!! Also hope bretzels are great too :)
Great place to eat in the village. Food was good and they do really nice flights of beer. Had the smash burger and would definitely get it again. Service was great. Probably the best restaurant we went to in the village while we were here
Excellent food, atmosphere & staff. A special thank you to Ellie for accommodating our toddlers and adjusting the highchairs so our kiddos could reach the table.
Went here during canada day weekend and sat on the patio, food was pretty good no complaints. View is nice too!
Absolutely delicious food and friendly service!
Atmosphere was nice. Beautiful on the water. Now let s get into the food; shrimp tacos!!! Big rip off!!!! Only two dinky COLD tacos for $22. The shrimp are cut in half, I think in total there s 2 shrimp on each taco. And they re tiny! It was also just stuffed with cold soggy coleslaw. Not what I expected! The cauliflower bites were also horrendous, the sauce tasted like tomato sauce and the mango yogurt was barely on the plate. I will say the diet cokes with the lime were delicious. That s why they get the extra star. Also plastic straws, another win? Will I be back? Only to steal the plastic straws
Terrible food, small portions, terrible service. Good luck getting 2 words out of your server. They are so racist, they assume no one speaks English if you are indian. Yet 70% of their revenue comes from Indian tourists. Stay clear of this place. Garbage EVERYTHING!!!!
Natalie at Northwinds Brewery is a shining star! Her warmth and genuine care for customers make every visit we have had a memorable one. She effortlessly guides patrons through the menu, offering insightful suggestions and ensuring everyone feels welcome. Natalies enthusiasm for the brewerys offerings is infectious, elevating the entire experience. Her professionalism and charm truly make her a standout server at Northwinds Brewery!!!
We visited this restaurant with friends here from Scotland. Each of our meals were well presented and delicious with ample portions. Tasting the home brews was a great experience as well. To top it off our server was Jay the actual owner of the establishment. He was a wonderful host sharing his passion for the business. If you are looking for a great dining experience you must visit the Northwinds Brewpub. You will not be disappointed.
We had a great time here. Service was top notch . Skateboard Flights were amazing. Excellent restaurants
Visited on a Friday afternoon. We were very happy with our experience. Our server was just truly kind. I have a food allergy and he made sure I was well taken care of. Thank you for that. We both enjoyed burgers and flights. Possibly the best burgers we have had in a long time. Fries were pretty awesome too. Oh right and beers were good too.
Decent food but horrible service
Went to Northwinds restaurant in the blue mountain village for my wedding anniversary with my wife. We were staying at the mosaic and decided to go there for Dinner, this was on Saturday May 11 at 6pm. My wife being Celiac had a burger with fries on a gluten free bun and myself the fish and chips. The fish and chips were horrible! Later that night I became very ill with stomach aches and vomiting very bad in the middle of the night. When we got back to Hamilton where we live I had to go to a walk in clinic as I was still feeling very ill. Doctor advised me it must have been what I ate and what I ate last was dinner that horrible fish that must have been cooked in black Tar like oil. We have been to this restaurant before but I really do not know what happened. Warning others to be aware of what you eat there! Don t eat the fish! This experience destroyed the weekend I had planned with my wife. John
Waiters communication is terrible
Awesome skate flight good, view and food are great. Staff are very friendly
When you have good food and beer you can t go wrong! Went twice during our short visit to Blue Mountain. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Great spot with very friendly staff and delicious food. Good selection of drinks and beers. I was with a group and we spent a while eating and never felt rushed by the staff.
Arrived at the restaurant to pick up take out; unfortunately I ordered to the wrong location. Staff was very accommodating and friendly about it. They expedited our order. We ordered burgers, fries; and Caesar salad, all three were top notch! The beer selection was excellent. We enjoyed their blueberry seltzer. We will be back!
Very attentive and friendly service. Lots of craft beer options. We shared a wings and ribs player which tasted alright.
Went here for drinks this past week while on spring break skiing at Blue. Loved the drinks, atmosphere, and service!
Always a great stop for great beer and tasty food!
Finding a restaurant that cooks in beef tallow is very rare. THEY DO THIS. The wings (best Ive ever had) and fries were on point. My partner had the Dill burger. This included a double burger, generous cheese and enough spice to justify the duck fat fries.
expensive but huge portions
This place is great for a pint and food. Craft beer was suggestion by server and she nailed it. The Spicy Dill Burger I would have loved to take two back home. So good! Great service by bar server. Thank you for the great service Northwinds Brewpub!
Northwinds offers more warmth than the other resto s in the village. Monster food portions, many beer options and a diligent staff.
Good beer and food, great service.
Excellent gluten free burger and amazingggg service!
A great spot to stuff your face after a full day on the slopes! Everything we ordered tasted great and the portions were massive. We got the Oklahoma Spicy Dill Burger and the SMASH Burger and they both came with a ton of fries. They have the best tasting fries with the perfect fluffy interior and crisp exterior. They were both loaded and tasted great but I preferred the Oklahoma burger because it just tasted more special. We tried some of the beers on top and the hacky sack might be one of my favourite beers I ve ever tried. They also have a small retail section where you can buy cans to take with you. You definitely get the most bang for your buck here compared to the other spots in the village.
We went here after reading many positive reviews and looking for a quality meal while visiting Blue Mountain. We were initially told the wait was 45 minutes, but it was actually only 20 minutes so we thought this was a good sign. Wrong! We sat at a table for 8 - we were a party of 4 (all of the tables are for large sizes which is odd). We ended up with two random people sitting at the same table. Our server looked like she woulda rather been elsewhere. She spent more time talking to her coworkers than tending to patrons. Because of her lack of priorities, she forgot my husband s drink, and brought it AFTER we had basically finished our meal. We spent nearly $200 for a family of 4. One glass of beer cost $16. A little excessive. They also charged $5 per side to upgrade to undercooked, odd tasting mac and cheese. My daughter literally got a cheeseburger (meat, lettuce, cheese only) and they charged us the price of a signature burger. I really wouldn t have taken issue with the cost if it was stellar service and the food was top notch. But I could have made better food on my own kitchen and paid $50. The server on the receipt was Party Time which I assume is to protect their identity to prevent bad reviews. I would never ever return to this restaurant.
Came here after a long day of skiing. The food was great, we definitely ordered plenty as we were starving and had lots of fries leftover. Their fries were very crispy and fresh! Some of the nicest beer I have had!many fun selections to choose from!
Mandy was our server and was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty.
The host was so rude
They use beef tallow and duck fat in the kitchen which is a huge plus. Great wings and fries
I ask for a table and they putted me on the waiting list, they told me between 30-35 min. After 1 hour I went back to ask how long is gonna take to give me a table. they said you are the next one.... after others 15 min I decided to eat in other restaurant. Im still waiting for their message.
Excellent service. We came asking if they could seat our party of 17 and they were very accommodating. Took us all in less than an hour. Very friendly staff and food was great. Highly recommend!
Our waitress Cree was amazing! Made many recommendations that were great! We got the duck pierogi duck poutine, lot so duck on it and it was amazing! We also got burger and I would highly recommend. If you like beer the skate flight is for you!
Pretty decent service and the beer is okay, but they really need some vegan burger options.
Seafood chowder was good and pretzels were amazing!
Ordered the Smash and spicy dill burger with a salad. I prefer the spicy dill burger as the smash burger didnt have tomatoes. The salad wasnt fresh. The atmosphere was nice and has a beautiful patio for summer.
Went in for some lunch and a pint. I had the tuna salad and one of their IPA s called rainmaker . Food and quality of the beer was 10/10 for a better price then other options in the village. Don t go anywhere else.
Fantastic Brewery. Really good prezels, comes with cheese and mustard, two great variants to eat. Beer lots of variety and service is good. One of the better places to go to at Blue.
The food was absolutely fantastic, Chef Phil truly blew my fiancé and I away when we visited Northwinds for dinner last week. We ordered the smoked beet salad, an eggplant dish, and the pad Thai. Everything tasted INCREDIBLE! One of the best meals weve ever had throughout our many travels. The service and music was also amazing from start-to-finish. We will definitely be back!
Service food and atmosphere was great! Food was a tad expensive but portions were large
Best burger ive had all 2022
Loved this brewpub. Food was amazing, lots of beer options, and our server Jay was great. Also probably one of the only restaurants that we visited in the village that had a clean bathroom.
We ordered a stake 3 months ago and it was really good. This time it was awful . No taste... only few pieces of mushrooms for design. Without any salt. two pieces of carrots as the side. For this price, it was ridiculous
Hamburger was dry. Potatoes were great.
Great food, one of the best burgers I have ever had.
Nice place with good food and excellent service. The beer is not remarkable, however. Also too crowded. But compared to other locations in Blue Mountain village, this is a pretty good place.
Bison Smashburger and a pint of PB & J stout was an awesome way to end the day at Blue Mountain
Food is better than the beer for sure . Craft beer is not my thing so that is why I m not giving 5 stars
Excellent stop for a beer + Burger. I had the Bison one and it was really good.
Buffalo Mac and cheese was great. The waygu cheddar burger was decent, but it was flavourless besides the onion. Fries are great. I wish they had a larger cocktail menu. I didn t really enjoy the menu. Service was great.
Cool & modern brewpub located in the Blue Mountain ski village I came here on a Thurs night with no resos and was told it would be a 20m wait, although we only waited about 10m. We ordered 2 cocktails (orange mules) and 2 appetizers (calamari and cauliflower chicken). The calamari was pretty good, but I found the cauliflower bites to be way too saucy and just tasted like wing sauce had been dumped all over them & the cocktails had too much ice and tasted quite watered down It s a cool, hip atmosphere inside and our waitress was nice and polite, however I found it to be a bit pricey - we split the bill and after tax and tip paid $42 each Would I come here again? Meh, maybe but wouldn t be my first choice. I d come back for beers as the beer selection seemed pretty decent (after all is a brewery), but for dinner I think I d go elsewhere.
Great brew pub.
Brutal service. Last year ate here, cold fries and undercooked burger. This year, it was the only place open so we returned only due to having zero other options. Tonight we were told there were only 2 spots at the bar remaining. Our superstar greeter proceeded to let 3 people in ahead of us, then awkwardly saying nothing to us as we all stared at each other for 20 seconds in the restaurant. Terrible hostess girl, who just stares at customers like that. We left, this place sucks all around.
Came here with a party of 4, waited 20 mins for a seat. I got the duck tail poutine which was very good, some duck pieces were a little too salty but mixed with all the flavours it was amazing. The selection of beer is perfect for any type of craft lover. Service was quick and food came out quick! Will definitely come here again. Update: sadly this place is not it use to be two years ago. Beer was flat (we ordered several kinds) and cocktails are higher priced, tasting not as good). Food menu has gotten more expensive with several favourites removed. Personally prefer the Collingwood location as it has variability (more menu items).
Blue mountain in Christmas
We had the boards with different beers. Great experience. To eat we had smash burger, chicken mac and cheese, wings and pretzel bites. Everything was delicious just the pretzels were too much bread for two, maybe share with 3 people. Cool place and great music.
Decent beer and good service.
Food was pretty bland and small amount for the price. Ive eaten here years ago and remember it being better. I had the Brewhouse salad which was pretty small for $15. I paid an extra $6 to add chicken, but it was a tiny serving and also bland. I think adding cheese (feta or halloumi) to this salad would help and maybe pistachios or walnuts for some added taste. I wish it was served in a large bowl so its easier to mix and eat. Probably wont return even though staff was nice.
Really rude hostess
Best place to chill in the village
Delicious meal! The waygu burger was fantastic and the fries were delicious. My wife had a Caesar salad and it was a great portion with fantastic croutons!
Pretzel bites are a must
One of my favorite local craft breweries. Always a great selection of beer and food is amazing as well. Highly recommended stop if you are in Blue Mountain
Great place to sit and enjoy a flight. We ordered the skate board to try all the beers... Fun to do. Our order of the pretzels, the calamari, tacos, periogis and a burger were all tasty. The view from the patio was comfortable and enjoyable in this weather. The rotating tap also had a great selection.
Best pub in the village with excellent customer service! Awesome cauliflower bites , must try. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely a place to try if you re in the village.
We ordered fish & chips, and the salad with beet, mandarin, nuts. To our surprise, fish & chips is good without doubt. But the salad is even surpassed my hubby expectation!
The jerk chicken tacos in boa buns were delicious! Extremely spicy, but delicious!
We needed to warm up and grab lunch after walking around the village for a bit. We had to add our name to a waiting list, but to me, that s a good sign that it might be worth the wait especially when many of the other restaurants were not busy at all! She told us it would be about 20 minutes but we heard back within 10 minutes; awesome! I liked that they have a texting system to let you know when your table is ready. This allows you to keep walking around if you have time or at the very least wait outside to enjoy the surroundings until your table is ready. Once you receive your text, you have 10 minutes to arrive to the restaurant before your table is given to someone else. We had their coffee and their Niagara Rose Gold Cider. Both were really good! Although there was a lot of people in the restaurant, the noise was quite tolerable. They played really good music and the views of the ski hills was an added bonus. After looking at the menu online, we decided on the Beef Tacos, the Smashed Burger, and the Smoked Beet Salad with Bacon. The beef in the tacos was extremely tender. There was also a generous amount of beef. The tacos were very juicy between the beef and sauces it wasn t pretty to eat but oh my they were delicious. The Smash burger with fries was a filling meal. This burger is made of two juicy Wagyu patties: delish! The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Good til the last bite. The Smoked Beet Salad was, visually, a work of art. It was a beautiful plate! Both the beets and bacon were smoked which gave a different taste and may not be for everyone. Because the beets were smoked, they didn t have a lot of taste but nevertheless they worked well with the rest of the ingredients. I would most certainly try this place again in warmer months when we can eat on their patio. They are currently building a huge extension off of their current patio which overlooks the pond and the mountain, that will be the place to be in the summer.
Burger and fries are excellent. Buffalo Mac and cheese was meh. Nothing special, I feel like the chicken thigh ruins it. Bearded cook without a beard net.. that s a no from me dawg.
Small but great spot in the village. Fantastic and friendly staff. Awesome happy hour specials. Really good vibe. And great craft beer!!
Our food was good. Server wasn t! Super abrasive.
The wings and calamari (spicy for kids) are very good. The wagyu smashed burger can be passed.
You have to scan a QR code to get the menu?? Very bad.. we spent 5 minutes trying to get the menu on our phone and decided to go elsewhere
Meals were not tasty.... My wife and I had the lamb burger and my daughter had the fish and fries... Service was good but it unfortunately doesnt cover a meal with no taste..... There are lots of options to rest at the Blue Mountain village.... This should not be your first choice....
Great place, great brews, great food. Id be here everyday if I could. Smash Burger is tasty and beers styles all taste awesome.
Good vibes, Friendly staff, Great staff
We came here on a Sunday at 330pm. A group of 9. We ordered our food/drinks and honestly, it was good. Solid meals and portion. However, the service staff did not inform us it was happy hour, they kept snickering behind the bar and clearly laughing at us, for what reason, we have no clue (south Asian?). The very small brunette bartender and the blonde waitress together made us feel so unwanted, it was appalling. We spent $600 and tipped 18% which was not deserved tbh. When paying, I mentioned to the server that it was happy hour, and why they never told us. Her answer, oh I wasn t your server And again, she went back to the small brunette bartender and began laughing and gawking at us blatantly. Please be respectful. I would not bring my family back here in any capacity, nor would I recommend it to anyone. 1/5 star service. Go to other places in the village.
Best pretzels to snack on with your beer!
Nice venue, welcoming service and good food. #LoveYourFries
The smash burger is good and the portion is good as well. Will be back to try the beer next time!
Great beer ...amazing food unique items been a half dozen times ..vibe is good ..atmosphere plus ...its on the water .never disappointed...severs are amazing
It s an average pub, which I am not sure why the rating is so high. Maybe people just hungry after ski and a day out and about? Ok so beer wise, it s beer. I think it s fine. Food, I really don t get the good reviews. Maybe the dishes we picked weren t their best, but we had 4 things and overall the taste vs the price didn t match up. The salad was suppose to be sour and sweet, typical greens with dried fruit, fruit and vinaigrette right? Well buck up, unless you just like sour, as the predominate taste was the dressing overpowering everything else. Fish and chips, the fish batter was heavy and soggy. Lamb burger was ok but again nothing to write home about. The tuna bowl, we struggled to figure out what exactly the point of it was. It almost seems like they decided to throw bunch of random Asian ingredients together and called it a day. If you must eat at Blue, there are better options I think. Drinking, maybe ok, don t really know.
What a gem! Excellent food, taking pub fare and elevating it with thoughtful ingredient additions and flavour combinations. Great service, fun beer flights and very family friendly, with a family washroom on the main floor. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and OUTSTANDING customer service from the manager Toban !!!!
No photos. My beef and mushroom burger was so good. I forgot to take a photo and it s gone. I can assure you that the patty was juicy. The portobello mushroom was flavorful. The sauce was just right. I didn t expect I had arugula and pear for house salad. The nicest part was we had the great view of the pond and the ski run. Very impressed.
My wife and I ate at Northwinds in Blue Mountain and we agreed that the meatball sub was anything but simple and was the best we had ever had. The Bison bacon burger was fantastic as well and the fries were exceptional. We will be back!
Stopped in for a bite with my baby while the wife was getting a massage at Scandinave. The staff were very accommodating, the food, beer and bill arrived quickly. Fries were tasty and crunchy, the beer was cold. Cant ask for much more.
A great day to eat on a patio at Blur Mountain village at NorthWinds. I had a very good hamburger but a touch dry. Which normally isnt, thats okay. Service was average. It just seemed like we were just there as task. Hard to explain. lolol Next time we will go to the city location. Seems better.
Excellent staff food and prices on the patio and water. Very family friendly
I ordered the lamb bergur!!it was too bad.. it burned and it has bad smell!!
Just left this place, probably worst place I could have gone. Dirty water glasses, food was terrible.
Another horrible experience. Twenty five dollars for a burger and $4 for a childs drink. The server was confused and dumbfounded. Horrible service and horrific prices equal zero tip. Terrible experience! Server was looking to upgrade everything. Additional $4 for dipping sauce, additional $5 for the salad that actually comes with the meal. Yikes! Zero % tip on this one........
Food is ok. Service is very good and food came fast. I ordered their craft beer sampler, and all the choices tasted good. The kids mac and fries was bland, not much cheese flavour. The French fries were good. Fish and chips give a single large piece of fish, which is mostly batter that was quite salty. The meatball sandwich was good with 4 large meatballs. Overall, the food is just ok.
Great atmosphere, and best smash burger around!!!!!
Happy Hoppy Hour Caesars were were perfect. Great beer selection & pretzel bites were awesome.
What a fantastic find! The Beer is made on site and sold in store. I had a few type and they were all great! These are some of the best wings I ever had! The fries were so amazing! I didnt want to share. If you never had duck fat fried food, you definitely have to try it once in your life! This is absolutely a place we will return next time we visit blue mountain! - Update 2023 Beer is great and still available on site. Food wasnt tried but looked as good as it was before.
A good place to eat, take a break and continue, its not worth staying so long, the service and attention are very good, the food is good, nothing spectacular. You already know, more photos, videos, recommendations and suggestions, on all my platforms, Xíimbal, La Chula and I are like COMBIAJANDO, on Instagram, Twitter (x), YouTube, Facebook, WordPress, TikTok, etc.
Pleasant terrace facing the pond. Important choice. Very hearty salad for a reasonable price
Perfect place to enjoy a pint with food at Blue Mountain. Beer was good, great location and our server was amazing. Recommend!
Service great food not good
Great beer. Food was excellent. Our hostess made some great choices for 2 beer flights. Highly recommend
Our waitress was miserable and had no interest in providing any gesture above and beyond her basic duties. She was also insulting; blamed us for the machine timing out. When we asked a question about the kids menu she just shook her head instead of explaining. Crazy. Food was decent but overpriced, as expected though
Great atmosphere, scrumptious food and great service.
The best spot in town to check out the scenery and enjoy some good food
Overall good - the head chef was yelling at the kitchen staff more than once (borderline verbal abuse) . Very awkward lol
If there is a negative option I would select that. I am not sure if its post COVID, services are definitely going downhill. I arrived requesting a table of 3. A teenage-like girl took me to a seat with high table which is considered as inconvenient for my son. Right next to it there is a booth available so I asked if I can wait for it to be cleaned. She agreed. Then I went back to the front. Next thing you know they took someone in to the booth. So then I expressed the arrangement to another teenager like girl at the front. And her attitude was what really set off the fire. She basically gave me a cold shoulder and said it is what it is , its first come first serve, there is other table if you want. Then I asked could you please communicate with the other girl. Then she came out and both accused me that I left the restaurant. I really wish they have a security camera handy to verify my existence inside the restaurant before accusing me. The issue I have is their attitude. No apologies, cold shoulders, dont care. Then I asked for the manager. This is even funnier, he was right behind me which I stood in front of him at all time. All these young adults then gathered a total of 5 basically said I was over reacting. Omg with this kind of service I would never come back to this place and clearly they do not care about customers. How unprofessional! Food is mediocre overrated anyways. If I want a beer there are other choices. If you want to have a good time during your vacation, you should not come here. unprofessional staffs!
Awesome beer, food and staff! Large selection of beer. Flights available if you want to sample! Food is delicious and presented very nicely! Staff is very helpful and accommodating. They moved us indoors when it got a little chilly outside. We also had a little issue with a salad and they fixed it right away and gave us half off the salad (they didn t have to do that but the offer is genuine!). Thank you for a great meal and time! We will be back next week!
Food and service was incredible! Our server Sarah was amazing and gave us the best experience we could ask for. 5 of us ordered different meals. Meatball sub, surf and turf, burgers, fish and chips, everything was perfect. Weve been coming to Blue Mountain for years and been to all the restaurants and believe me when I tell you its the best restaurant in the Blue Mountain Village, hands down !
We got served by Olivia . SUPER helpfull and friendly . Love the food got the beef tacos , beetroot salad with shrimps , and nashville chicken sandwich !! A must try place Oh and lets not forget the beer !!!
Dear Olivia, thank you so much for your excellent recommendation on our food choices. I highly recommend Northwind Brewpub to everyone who visits Blue Montain.
Excellent Smash Burger and Fish and Chips! Great service too
Really good place for dine in- food and beer were good, wine for the non beer drinkers as well.
We went for lunch. Food was good, really good French fries. Waitress was super helpful and patient with us. I am giving this four stars because I found the prices were a bit steep (are these just Blue Mountain tourist markups?) I am a craft beer enthusiast and I find that spending over 30 dollars for a six pack of cans is a bit much.
Great place to eat! Food is amazing! Staff is fantastic and very friendly. Food came out quickly as well. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!
Great service with good food
The beer here is great and I would come back every weekend for their soft pretzels if I could! They are the best I ve had! Good atmosphere as well, they can get kind of busy and don t take reservations. The ceaser salad was pretty good but the rice and chicken wrap needed something crunchy and most flavor added to it.
Visiting from the UK. This is a friendly bar/restaurant with good beer and good food. Decent value as well.
Amazing staff, food is great and the ambiance is perfect for the weather .
Limited choices and rushed out after lunch..... not nice, bad service.
We have been loyal guest of Northwinds since the day they opened. The food is always consistently delicious, with a solid season menu rotation, keeping it fun and fresh. The staff are fantastic, with a real team service model, you re looked after by everyone. The atmosphere is a cozy, welcoming micro-brewery pub, with lots of tv s, view of the beer vats, and speaking of beer, their selection is impressive, their flights are served on a custom skateboard and is bound to offer many options to suit anyone s flavour profile. 10/10
Great atmosphere. Prompt, friendly service. The turkey club sandwich was delicious, as was the smash burger. Generous portions.
Probably the best burger I ve ever had. Laura was our server and she was so sweet and provided excellent service! Food 5 and service 5 Highly recommend!
Food was delicious!
Was excited to grab dinner unfortunately they had closed before 9 pm when hours were listed until 11. Very unfortunate for the number of customers they turned away.
Phenomenal atmosphere, service, and food. Great vegan options! 10/10
On vacation and my sis and I felt very out of place here .bad attitude I thought of host that sat us down .as we were only buying a drink .would not recommend going here on a Sunday night when I paid with cash at end .he did not return with my change which was 9 dollars finally had to say something.
Great service, wide variety of dishes and drinks
The most disgusting food I have ever eaten and I ve eaten food in Third World countries .. Waitresses stand behind the bar texting away It wasn t until we got to the front to leave after trying to choke down there beer soaked pub grub and then they asked us if they could get us anything else . Little late . Also, never heard of a fully stocked bar that doesn t have grenadine $70 for garbage .
First of all The mountain burger is fantastic! Service is incredibly fast, efficient, friendly & accommodating. This place is a well oiled machine. Management I love IPAs & craft beers, but I dont absolutely LOVE the beers here so much, they are all good just none that really excite me, but the food is more than enough to keep bringing me back whenever Im in Collingwood. The smash burger was insane!, the deep dish garlic bread WOW!, a had dreams about their steak or brisket poutine which is no longer on the menu for some reason . But, they have alot of excellent food choices, both Northwinds locations are the Bomb ! But this one was like 200m from our Hotel Room @ the Mosaic. So convenient!
Great location by the lake, food was super tasty and the house beers were enjoyable! Price was what you would expect at a tourist destination. The staff had very warm and welcoming attitude.
Good food ceasers not so great
What a great experience!! Beer was great! Food was delicious and staff provided excellent service!! I will definitely be back!!
Good service but food acceptable. Had fish and chips great portion but fish was greasy!!! and coffee cold. Probably wont return, sorry.
Good food and music but definitely overpriced for what you get. Should be tagged with three dollar signs not two. Service is slow despite the place being half empty.
Been there today for lunch. Awful dry burgers and cardboard fries but this review its not about the food. We were served by Rob the long hair man, who appeared to be polite but was just ironic. He came with the bill and the machine and was looking at my husband in terms of how much tip he will give him. Well for a 100$ bill we gave him 10% (because the minimum tip was 18% which makes no sense) and as soon as we completed the payment we said thank you Rob. He didnt even reply back, took the machine and left, didnt even ask for the receipt. We should have called him back and say come here we made a mistake, and leave 0 tip. Is the tip mandatory now for tourists that visit 3-4 times a year? Awful service. Be aware of what kind of humans you hire!
Expedition Harvest Moon ! The autumn seasonal beer is amazing. Hints of pumpkin with a cinnamon finish. Absolutely delicious and possibly one of the best fall craft beers Ive ever had!
Great place to go to get some pub grub, watch the game or hang out. Great service and staff is really friendly.
Food was amazing. Had the Smash burger which was great as well as pretzels, all of it was top-notch. Thoroughly enjoyed the beer and for being in the The Blue Mountain area the prices were reasonable enough. Will definitely check it out again if Im in the area.
I went to this location with friends last Friday. They have a wide selection of beers, we got the SKATE FLIGHT. I only liked couple, the rest were very citrusy. Great service. Big portions. The smash burger was AMAZING. The cauliflower app and the veggie burger were great options for the vegetarians in our company. Definitely check this place out if you re in the area. I recommend this place and will visit again.
What a great place in the village for the friends and fam! Service was stellar, Fish Tacos were really good, kids MacnCheese was a hit, Calamari a bit salty, and best lemonade Ive ever had! Ever!
Had the smash burger and fries, highly recommend.
Service was terrible salat was whilted completely disappointed its not worth visit
Food is great service even better. Haley is amazing
Food was decent, service was disappointing. Not once did our server ask how our meal was during or after the meal. She just planted plates/drinks on the table and walked off. Very poor hospitality and no interaction whatsoever. She didn t even introduce herself, otherwise I d name her here. Genuinely so disappointed.
Service is awful
Love the finsh tacos and the calamari. The skate board really good but a lot if you are only 2
I had the beef rib special. The rib was dry, but the brussel sprouts were amazing, and I earnestly hate brussel sprouts. With a fiery passion. If global warming killed off all brussel sprouts it wouldnt be soon enough. The Caesar salad rocks, the Caesar drink rocks, and the duck fat fries are amazing
I went with a Party of 9. We had been told of their no reservation policy, which was fine. We put our name down for a table and were told an hour and fifteen minutes wait so we went to another lounge to have a few drinks and wait. We went by Northwinds again after an hour and fifteen minutes and were told there are no tables ready. We wandered around the village for another 45 minutes and still no text of the table being available. Very disappointed with how long of a wait there was. I get the place was busy, but then why not come up with some sort of reservation system. If it s like this in the off season, I can t imagine how it would be during the summer and winter seasons. We were finally seated, the beer selection was good and 3 or the 4 beers I had were great! Food however was not worth the wait. I got an order of the wings to start: underwhelming. I had ordered Sriracha Honey but could only taste the honey, no spice whatsoever. As my main I ordered the Smash Burger: again underwhelming. The food was not worth the wait. Our service was okay, however she mentioned to our table that we were getting discounts because of the exceptionally long wait, but no discount appeared on any of our bills. Overall disappointed with Northwinds. I d recommend for the beer, but not for the food - especially if it s a long wait
The food was just so delicious. We most of us had burgers and they were hust so juicy and amazing. Cocktails werent too great ans staff was friendly. We enjoyed the time there.
The best pretzels you will ever have in your life and quite literally the nicest, most thoughtful staff. If you have the opportunity to go here - do it!
V.good
Beer pretzels, beer pretzels, beer pretzels!
Good Caesar..
Went there on a Monday night. We got pad Thai and fish and chips. The food was ready in 5 minutes. !! And we realized where that came from. The fries were freezer bag stuff and the fish was bitter. Very weird. Pad Thai noodles were soggy and drenched in oil. Don t go there and waste your hard earned money down the drain. If this is the best rated resto, imagine the rest of this tourist trap zone.
Always enjoy coming here. Cool atmosphere, great servers, good food and drinks. I Had the Bison burger and fries. Fries were perfectly flavoured/salted, but the burger was a tad overcooked. The Pomeroy sauce wouldve made it better, but it seemed like I only got two bites of it. Wouldve been nicer if it was spread throughout the bun. Beer was pretty good. I had the Hill Top Lager which was refreshing.
Great atmosphere, very limited menu, our server was very attentive and over all friendly. i ordered the pad Thai with shrimp as I am pescatarian, my food arrived with chicken. When I told our server that my order was wrong he argued back with me. His comment yes i wrote down chicken after I told him I had ordered shrmp when he never wrote down a thing, was totally un called for. He thankfully replaced it with the shrimp. My husband and I were shocked with his rude response, i understand as a server myself, that we all make mistakes, but his comments were totally unnecessary. To top it off, i found a bug in my drink. At that point i wasnt enjoying the experience anymore and didnt want to try anything else. We finished up quickly and left. Will definitely reconsider coming back to this location
Nice service, food was good tried the pretzels, and Cobb salad .
Food was amazing. Their own beers are very good. Service was ok. We had to wait at the bar for a table to free up... thats OK it was busy. Sat at the bar and were ignored by 2 staff members who were chatting and not clearing the cans and glasses left on the bar in front of us. Eventually got some drinks. My beer glass had a chip/crack in the rim. Got the message our table was ready, and were taken to a table with dishes, spills cups and glasses on it. Table was not ready...it was gross. Service after that was good, and the food was excellent. Bought a holiday pack of beer from their on-site craft beer store.
My fiancee and I were walking around and decided to have dinner here. Wish we checked out the menu first. Pros: Friendly staff, good beer selection, affordable. Cons: Place is small, the menu is small and theres almost no healthy options on it, food was just ok.
great service and great beer
Awesome food and service! Great beer too.
Hands down the best bar in BM. Excellent selection of craft beers on tap. Very juicy wagyu beef burger and the fries were top 5 all time cooked in duck fat, nuff said!!!
Great food, great beer, friendly staff, loved it. Ambience is great. For sure to visit again and recommend highly.
