Special occasion dinner @modekitchenandbar. We ordered Steak Tartare, Wagyu skewer with Balsamic and Onion, Iceberg Lettuce with Sesame Dressing and Furikake, Chips, Lamb Cutlets with Eggplants and Salt Bush and a Snapper Special. Food was delicious and service was good. Tried a German Gin, Monkey 47, for the first time. Excellent botanicals.

My husband and I visited Mode for our anniversary, and it was a delightful way to celebrate. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Kingfish, which was recommended as the Chef's special. It was superb. We also highly recommend the seafood tower—it had the perfect mix of everything. Dilshan and Catherine went above and beyond to make us feel special. Their exceptional care was evident not just for us, but for every guest, showing genuine hospitality and attentiveness. James was fantastic with his drink recommendations, rounding out the experience perfectly. I would recommend Mode to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. It’s conveniently located right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the city, making it an ideal spot for memorable celebrations. Impeccable service by our wait staff, James and his team. Nothing to fault. If you are into cocktails, you must try the Singapore Sling at Mode. It's the best we've ever had, which was a surprise, considering we tried half a dozen renditions in Singapore itself but nothing came close to the smoothness and fizz Mode's version delivers. On the other hand, the Mixologist choice with dark rum and peach liqueur was less appealing despite the price tag of $27 each. However, we managed to finish dinner with a bottle of local Sparking recommended by James, who was also Mode's trainee Sommelier. The Truffle menu was a delight. We started with starters to share: Oysters, Zucchini flowers, Tuna tartare and Wagyu Truffle tartare on flat bread. Next, we got ourselves a bowl of hearty and creamy Truffle Risotto. Then, the T-Bone Steak. The meat was not just beautifully carved, but also decently tender. Paired this juicy steak with a plate of mashed potato - there were generous shavings of truffle on top. Last but not least, desserts. Truffle Tiramisu and Chocolate Egg. James threw in a few complimentary extras - Frozen Pavlova with a Birthday wish message for my friend Adam, along with Petit Fours to finish the wonderful evening. Needless to say, Mode at the Four Seasons Sydney is highly recommended and in my opinion, has the best Truffle Menu in Sydney this Truffle Season, compared to the pricier menus at the 5 star restaurants in Sydney like Aria or Bennelong. The service at Mode lives up to the quality delivered by premium dining experiences I have encountered at other premises in the Four Seasons.

Beautiful decor and excellent service. But the real stand out is the food. The simple salad was amazing. Beef tartar outstanding. The french fries I have were very serviceable. But the real star of the show was the Steak. I can’t remember the last time I had a steak frites with the meat. Sadly, my time in Sydney is growing short, but hopefully I’ll be back and eat here again.

Had one of the most amazing dining experiences here with impeccable service (James deserves a special mention for taking care of us, super attentive and friendly) and the food was fantastic. For starters, we thoroughly enjoyed the Sydney rock oysters, tuna and beef tartare, amazing freshness and light. For our mains, we had the angus beef tenderloin, shark island prawns and lobsters pasta which were cooked to perfection! To finish with a special birthday bonus of a dessert was great! The Express Lunch is a two-course menu with your choice of a full meal and main for $55. I chose tuna tartare and steak, but the amount of tuna was so small that it was meaningless to call it a menu item, and the quality of the tuna was not good. The steak came with just the steak and French fries, without even a side of onion garnish. It was so overcooked that it was closer to well-done than medium-rare. When I tasted the end of the meat, it had a slight smell, so I thought it had to be grilled this well. The only advantages are that they serve tomato sauce from scratch and the price is $55, but I dont think Ill come back for lunch again.

Had a Birthday Party at Grain Bar on Saturday night and wanted to get a quick bite to eat at Mode before attending the party. My wife and I went to Mode and unfortunately, they had a fixed/set menu available only - which was disappointing as we browsed online and found the full menu to be quite good. We asked if we could get the full menu, but they told us that unfortunately it was a set menu only due to the Vivid Sydney festival. What I found out in the middle of dining was that the table next to us ordered steaks and had access to the full menu. The double standard is shocking. I get having a set menu if youre expecting a large amount of people, but the restaurant was basically empty and then they opened up the full menu to people staying at the hotel only? The set menu was pretty shocking, for the main course we selected the Duck, which was basically 100grams of Duck meat, and 4 pieces of lettuce with some plum sauce. No other sides provided - just four (4) pieces of lettuce. I had to order a bowel of chips as a side otherwise I would have left starving. Absolutely shocking. Giving this 2 stars, but granted and HOPEFULLY, this is not the experience on a normal night where you can access the full menu. Hopefully this review will have you change your stance (and fixed menu options) on other Vivid nights!

The Mog Champ sends his regards. I was here recently to celebrate someones birthday with a nice fancy dinner and we had a great experience here! Shoutout to the energetic and passionate-sounding Dishan for setting us up with the menu and and orders. Also to Catherine for following up with us later on. After the special menu was gone through, we decided to order the lobster which wasnt on the menu. Who doesnt wanna splurge on some seafood sometime amirite? For entree we had the Blackmore Taretare and a Sicilian eggplant. Follow that up with some prosecco and a mocktail recommendation called citrus for drinks and we had a nice surprise by the end our meal with some finger-sized desserts. Enjoyed the wonderful 3 course set menu in this restaurant while staying at the hotel. From the moment we arrived service was welcoming, friendly and attentive but in a laid back kind of way. We started with some really first rate sourdough. There was a choice of two for each course and we both opted for the kingfish for the starter followed by the tooth fish as our main. Wow!! So tasty! The kingfish was crudite style with Asian flavours and nasturium flowers. The tooth fish was meaty, but delicate at the same time. Gorgeous crispy skin and melt in the mouth flaky flesh. Served on a bed of pak choi with a dashi sauce. I then chose the frozen pavlova with apricot sorbet while my husband opted for the chocolate and raspberry cremaux. Both desserts were fantastic. A beautifully balanced meal accompanied by a lovely Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Finally some dark chocolate truffles to complete a great experience. A lovely touch was when the restaurant manager came to speak to us and we shared some nice memories of our Four Seasons stays around the world. Congratulations to all the staff (and the chef!) - we will be back!

Honestly not the best food for being a restaurant lounge inside a four seasons. We didn t stay at this four season but of all the ones I ve been to this is the most run down looking one. Back to the food review, I order the steak frites and it was not that good. I also thought the presentation wasn t great. I feel like I could have ordered this back home from a cheap dinner somewhere.

Christmas dinner experience disappointing. Staff friendly and efficient. Food got cold quickly when brought to the table. Turkey was not fresh, but deli style meat .Full roasted bird was on display but you could not have a cut from it. An American customer was complaining about how rare cooked the beef was in the serving dish, I joined in we requested fresh cut from the full roast on display, we got some push back but the chef gave us our request extremely over priced and poor value for money.

The ribeye and fries were 5-stars. Steak was cooked and presented perfectly medium rare as ordered. It s 1kg and could ve easily fed 3-4 people! The big bowl of fries as a side were perfectly crisp and delicious. I d come back for these two alone. The octopus and oysters were good too. Service was okay and could be improved. Sparkling water was requested upon seating and still water was brought. Upon asking for wine recommendations the waiter should have asked for the sommelier instead of trying to wing it at first. Also a bit pushy on ordering some entrees in addition to the 1kg Ribeye and fries for two citing it takes 30 minutes to prepare! At the end of the meal, our bill was not correct in our favor and out of honesty took a while to figure out. Despite some of the issues we faced with the service, Mode has a delicious 1kg Ribeye and fries!

Seeing as Mode had a high tea option, and being an avid high tea aficionado, I definitely had to try it out. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Sadly, the food felt lacking for some reason. Im not quite sure what it was that was missing though. Perhaps it was just that my palate wasnt attuned to the menu on offer? It was still a good experience overall though. (also note that this was 6 months or so ago that we visited the venue)

We had the valentine menu for $180pp. Honestly, taste of the food was average,nothing stood out from starter to dessert.We were just disappointed with the seating allocation on the edge where cutlery/cloth table was. The waitresses/staff kept passing by every minute, either dropping cutlery or opening the drawer etc. The host/manager should have at least allocated our seat in a much private location/less traffic(eg: booth area) especially after we requested and indicated we were celebrating a special event (Anniversary) in the booking.The restaurant ambience didn t make it enjoyable, especially because of the lack of five star service/gesture given and the location of the seating. The restaurant didn t do anything special to acknowledge that it was our special anniversary and on valentines day. At least the dessert could come with Happy Anniversary written instead of being empty. One simple gesture can make the experience memorable and make the customer happy. Overall, this experience was definitely not worth $360 plus surcharge. Many other venues in Sydney can deliver a five star service with less or equal value than MODE Four Seasons. Dietary restrictions: The restaurant should advise the customer if any raw food is served in the set menu.

Excellent experience in the mode kitchen and bar. Love the environment and vibe, service was perfect. We loved how the waiter introduced every dish to us. A lovely dinner for four, we ordered three entrées, four main dishes, a dessert and a bottle of Shiraz. Rock oysters - quite fresh, love the vinegar and shallot sauce which helps to remove the fishy smell Kingfish crudo - raspberry sauce was surprisingly good with the sashimi. The nutty flavour of the pine nuts helped elevate the whole taste. Tasmanian octopus - the octopus was wood roasted but still remained soft and tender. We loved the octopus but just not a big fan of the crunchy chickpeas underneath. Grilled tenderloin - we ordered medium rare and the beef was cooked beautifully. Super tender and juicy, matched so well with the mushroom sauce. This is our favourite dish for the night !! Dry aged duck breast - crispy skin and tender juicy meat. The apricot on the side gave us a fresh and appetising flavour. Love how they were out together. Glacier 52 toothfish - the capsicum sauce was interesting matching with the fish. The fish was cooked nicely. If the skin could be more crispy then would be perfect. Risotto acquerello - the colour was very green but actually it tasted good. You can tasted that they have put generous amount of asparagus. The sauce was not too heavy. We enjoyed all dishes and for a hotel quality restaurant, the price was very reasonable. Would love to come back again!

We arrived early and had drinks at the bar, the drinks were fantastic. The bar tender mixed an off the menu cocktail and it was by far the best thing that I have drank. Thus why I have given two stars instead of 1. However, then we had high tea, as someone with a gastric sleeve, I still managed to leave there starving. Almost a miracle. Apart from the fact that some of the menu was not tasty to say the least, there also was not enough food. When compared to the Tea Rooms, this place was absolutely horrible. I could have gone to a fancy restaurant for what I had paid for this, actually it cost me just a little less than Margaret. On top of that, when asked for extra egg sandwiches, we were told that there was none as they only made enough to cover the bookings they had for the day. After getting a little frustrated, we were finally given two extra quarter egg sandwiches which cost an additional 16 dollars. Ridiculous, it s essentially half a sandwich with egg on white bread! Waste of money!

We went late lunch so the restaurant was quiet but people were coming and going from the bar having drinks. Steak was amazing. Cooked phenomenally and even though its not a high marble score cut it was tender and delicious. Mustards were a bit too strong for my palate - iceberg salad amazing. Dessert was cool but the seasonal pepperberry didnt do much for me. Would recommend!

You will love the new Aperitivo experience at @modekitchenandbar located in Sydneys luxurious 5 star hotel @fssydney . The perfect spot for after-work drinks and catchup, you can unwind with a cocktail in one hand and a plate of delicious Italian street food in the other for a bargain price of $30. The food is an endless buffet for 2 hours, prepared by Chef Mannelli and his team including crusty foccaccia, watermelon salad, cured meats and a selection of olives, pickles and cheeses. A great spot for drinks, snacks and laughs, and if you are still thirsty they have an Italian themed cocktail menu at $15 per cocktail making it one of the cheapest cocktails in Sydney. Its the perfect way to unwind after a long day and get ready for a delicious dinner after or for some they dont need dinner after. Aperitivo is a pre-dinner drink and snack thats served particularly in Milan. @fssydney between 4-6 pm Monday to Friday they serve a special $30 menu where you get a signature cocktail like a negroni, bellini, Americano and a buffet of light Italian bites. Prosciutto, grana padano, salads, panella...a feast by chef Francesco Mannelli. If you just want a cocktail its $15 which already is a great price for sydney in a nice hotel. Add the buffet and youre getting a wonderful deal. Its a time to catch up with friends, colleagues and family, enjoy some light bites, and sip on some refreshing cocktails. A beautiful bar and restaurant on the ground floor of Four Seasons Hotel. Luxuriously finished with a simple but noteworthy menu and helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend coming here for dinner even if you are not staying at the hotel. If you are staying, make sure you attend the buffet breakfast, the options are wonderful!

Just finished up eating at Mode We purchased the Tomino, Octopus, Celeriac and Polenta Chips Firstly the menu changed from an extensive vegetarian list to only a few options Secondly i don t think i can recommend any of dishes we ordered, all not making much sense or having much flavour, bar the Octopus, which was okay We were also not asked how the dishes went after leaving half of the food on the plates I was expecting a lot more from a high end restaurant such as this

During my stay at the FS I discovered Mode as it was my daily breakfast place. And what an awesome breakfast buffet with everything imaginable one could want. It was so good that I decided to try it for dinner. Much to my delight, the dinner was also fantastic. My starter was Tasmanian octopus, wood roasted, chick peas, sambal, sea succulents, and my main was the grilled cod with brussel sprouts in a creamy buttermilk dill sauce. And when I said no dessert they brought out house made chocolate truffles that paired well with my Joseph Faiveley Pinot Noir. I will definitely return here when I am back in Sydney.

The service is dismal at reception, the staff took so long pleasing a white customer and since I was asian I had to wait for so long. Pathetic. My first taste of racism in Australia came from here. Lost all my appetite from the beginning. The staff at reception should be changed but the rest of the staff seemed fine. There are better places in Sydney without white preferential treatment at the reception. This is a must avoid.

This is a contemporary Australian cuisine restaurant located on the first floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. Perhaps it was just the dishes I chose, but the dishes I was served were inspired by Japanese cuisine and ingredients. Toothfish, which I chose as my main dish, is served with dashi soup right in front of me. The taste of the soup stock has an ethnic flavor, so it was quite different from the taste of Japanese cuisine, and it was a strange dish. Iceberg Salad wasnt what I expected from the name, but it was a salad with sesame dressing and furikake, and it had a taste that Japanese people are very familiar with (so it didnt feel special). It was refreshing to be able to eat these dishes at a restaurant that is not a Japanese restaurant. (October 2023)

I struggled with my rating as the food was tasty but the service was horrible. I m staying at the four seasons and the service has been phenomenal so I was quite surprised with the lack there of at the restaurant. Breakfast service great, dinner service not so much. The breakfast buffet has a great variety and they open pretty early 6:30, which is great if you have an early morning tour planned. I had reservations at another restaurant but was feeling exhausted and just didn t want to go far, so we decided to eat at the hotel s restaurant Mode. We opted to sit at the bar, which gives me a great view for people watching. The bar tender did not greet us nor was he attentive. I may have given a pass if the bar was full but it wasn t. A waitress took our drink and food order once we had sat for a while, so thank you for that. The bar tender seemed more interested in showing off his overly loud and non impressive shaking of drinks then tending to guests. The food was great! I had the romaine salad, which is literally just romaine but the dressing was fantastic and made this simple dish fantastic. I also had the crudo, which was delicious as well. The citrus and apple contrast was phenomenal and the portion size was just right. We also had a fish that I can t remember the name of that was paired with mustard greens and a broth poured over. The fish was light with a crispy skin and paired very well with the mustards. Drink wise I d stick with simple, it will save you a couple of bucks and just a better option in my opinion. I had a Hendricks and tonic $14 and then an expresso martini $27. My spouse had an old fashioned $26, which includes a single shot but could have gotten a double whiskey neat or on a block for the same price. All in all I was thoroughly disappointed with the service but enjoyed the meal. Just to show how inattentive the bartender was, after waiting forever we walked to the hostess to ask for the check. Thank you bartender Hi (that s their name) your service needs some work

So happy we chose to eat here last night. We absolutely enjoyed everything that we chose! A special shout out to Dilshan our waiter for the night, he was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely attentive without being obtrusive and fake! All the dishes were delicious but the highlights would have to be the toothfish with the pour over broth, the woodfire octopus that was soooo tender it almost melted in my mouth and the Wagyu skewers! Overall very impressive if you enjoy fine dining and want to get quality for your money.

Group booking at Chefs Table on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. Took 2 course meal option plus 2 cakes. Service leading up to event was excellent, and largely happy with food and service (thank you Adan). They prepared for my vegetarian guests. Few little things took score lower - think they were a bit understaffed on evening, hard to track service down when wanted, had to ask for some things like drinks fir kids twice, messages from booking and pre-night communications appeared to not be passed on (like wine selection and no fruit alternative for desert), cakes delivered without knives to cut, and felt that the connection with Chefs that had expected from website description was not delivered on...I had people at table who would have loved to have known how some dishes were prepared. If you like greens, you will need to order these in addition - not provided as sides, and really only added as garnishes to meal. I dont expect perfection, but for the price paid, just a bit better. The ambient sound was not too loud, so could have conversations without shooting. Vegetarian options: Had veggy and fish eaters, and they were happy.

Four of us decided to eat at the hotel as we were. staying there. All agreed that the food was ok at best...with two people having to revert to spaghetti bolognese...which apparently was a chefs special; it certainly was not. Several reviews have commented on the fact they were still hungry afterwards and we felt the same. The service is marked higher as our waiter was honest enough to chase us down as we left a 100 on the seat. Atmosphere, well Im not sure there was any. Overrated for a 5* hotel, which we all agreed. The entree was so disappointing, I had a tomato tart that was served cold, I had 3 mouthfuls and could not finish it. Not my cup of tea. I do not eat seafood so options were very limited. I voiced my disappointment at the time of paying the bill when the waitress asked how the food was; however did not seem to care much. Main was much better, hubby and I shared eye fillet which was really nice, so I ll give two stars just for the main. Unfortunately I do not recommend and won t be returning to Mode.

Food 4/10 - Truffle rissoitto, used long grain rice and reheated, steak asked for med/rare it was well done. I just went to Mode today with my friend for my dinner. First of all, we need to wait a bit long to have attention from waiter and have water. But overall, we can understand since we know she just worked there around 1 month. She was very friendly and nice. For drink, not really special for cocktails. But I enjoyed my Moscato wine from recommendation of sommelier. For food, breads were dry and hard to eat. Entrees were oke with scallop, king prawn and pumkin. Main included duck breast ( not really flavoured), tenderloin ( tender and fat) with some sides were polenta chips and iceberg (recommend this salad) Finish with four deserts, but the best for me was Ile Flottante poached meringue, vanilla anglaise, almond & caramel.

The food is fantastic and presentation is impeccable. The ambiance of the restaurant is expected from a fine dining restaurant in a five star hotel. The staff could be a lot more attentive or enthusiastic about their job considering we were almost the only large group of 10 in the restaurant dining. We always had to flag them down for more drinks and a couple mood lights in the restaurant needed the bulbs replaced as a couple people couldn t see what they were eating. For the price point I could recommend other options in the vicinity.

We visited for a family celebration for the buffet breakfast. We weren t staying at the hotel so glad we were welcomed. There was so much on offer from middle eastern, Asian, English breakfast, lots of pastries and cakes, and much more. Also eggs and omelettes to order and barista coffee. I dined here last week after seeing some posts online of their desserts, so I very much looked forward to the night. While some dishes, such as the tenderloin with jus and scallops crudo, were stars of the evening, unfortunately some dishes fell short. Drinks took far too long to be served and I was served flat champagne which was only replaced after an insistent prompt and it arrived significantly after we finished the entrees they were meant to be served with. The chocolate tart was served without the chocolate disk so this again had to be replaced with an insistent prompt. As an establishment that markets themselves as a fine dining option, there were some faux pas that could have easily been avoided and I am confident if they slightly reduced their pricing to match their offerings and were more attentive with other areas of their dining experience they would be a much more sought after option. However, as it stands, and after spending $450 for two people, I am unfortunately reluctant to dine here again.

I had pre-paid the afternoon tea experience for my Sydney trip ahead of time once they confirmed that they were able to cater high tea for for one person. Generally, high teas are for a minimum of 2 people. Eloise the waitsperson was friendly and knowledgeable with the tea selection. Along with her counterparts, they were very attentive and checked in from time to time. Quick to re-fill my pot of tea. The savoury and sweet morsels were petite and delicious. Scones were recommended for devouring first. It wasnt dry/crumbly but arrived warm, a bit of crunch on the edges and softness in the centre. The classic egg sandwich but with white truffle was definitely fragrant. The lemon tart is favoured as the last bite for the tang. Would come again to try the other seasonal menus.

We were very excited to go to Mode. Flavour of the food was great but the portion of food was abysmal for the price you are paying. $46 for a small steamed cod fish with sauce and lettuce? I don t think so! My husband has the pasta with the crab. While it was good, the amount of crab on the pasta was so small it was disappointing for him too. The setting of the restaurant was nice but had poor lighting. Felt disappointed afterwards and wish we went somewhere else that was more affordable or was worth the money. Won t be going again.

I booked this restaurant as a surprise for my partner and his friends. Ms Wezeman at the Four Seasons couldn t be more helpful, accomodating and responsive to all my queries. The gentleman greatly enjoyed their dinner, the four course menu was a great suggestion. The gentleman especially loved the Black Angus Tenderloin MB 4+ and the Coconut and Mango Pavlova. All steaks were cooked to their personal tastes, compliments to the chefs. Thank you Ms Wezeman for helping with the surprise and celebrating this special occasion. Tried Mode Kitchens new high tea menu over the weekend and was blown away by the taste, technique, service and experience. A laid back and highly personal experience from 2pm to 430. The food was extremely well balanced in terms of flavour. The savoury bites were very unique in flavour and combination. Each item blended well, at a glance the bites looked small but the flavours were huge. - The smoked salmon sandwich highlighted the smokey flavour of the salmon, taste of the bread was very subtle such that the emphasis on the fish was the focus. - the Vol au vent was pastry mastery with a well blended lemon cream interior. The most impressive texture and flavour of pastry. The sweet bites were just right in terms of sweetness, where no item was overly sweet but pockets of sweetness, texture and some tangy elements combined for a complex and delicate bite. - the mini pear being a highlight of the sweets, was a visual marvel with a gentle green white chocolate exterior and a burst of pear mouse and a hint of vanilla in the interior. - the scones were amazingly well balanced with a firm but soft crust exterior and a buttery crumbling interior. The cotted cream and raspberry jam was unique and blended together amazingly with the scone. The combination of scone is a must try. As a whole every item on the menu was flawless and expressed exactly the flavour it was trying to achieve. The tea available on offer were high quality and flavours were more traditional, great with the food and not trying to be too adventurous in terms of flavour. What topped up the experience was that the the pastry chef Elliot would personally come to your table to enquire on the experience from the customer and share his vision in creating the food serviced in the high tea. The conversation and his ability to express the techniques used to create the menu was a cooking masterclass experience in itself. The high tea is highly recommended, the menu is far and wide ahead of other high teas tried in Sydney. What I felt in food very much resembled in visual and flavour of what my expectation would be from a pastry chef and head chef were they to create food for a world class showcase. 10/10

The only thing I wish they did better was the FOH service, I wish the waitstaff paid more attention to the customers because there were only a few couple tables during that night we dined and they took quite a long time to get our order and we struggled to get their attention for most of the night. Me and my friend we went for the fine dining experience at this spectacular restaurant located in heart of Sydney at the Four Seasons Hotel. The level of service is one of the best I have ever experienced and I have nothing to compare with. Chef Francesco Manelli and his team are doing a fantastic job to create delicious fresh dishes using the best ingredients. I had the duck, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely superb with an orange zest sauce, the side iceberg salad sprinkled with sesame and Furikake. Then Pastry Chef Quentin from France prepared the most delicious Frozen Pavlova: Bravo for the most delicious dinner and special mention to Dilshan who superbly took care of my table and gave me wise advice.

Fine dining prices without delivering a fine-dining experience. Food was really good, but the service was poor and lacked polish. Ate there for dinner 2 weeks ago, table of 4 people, only 24 people in the entire restaurant section. Big improvements required in wait-staff training to be worth the cost. Had to ask several times for drinks, we were never asked or offered. Meal-specific cutlery arrived after the meal was on the table, so the food was sitting there while someone rushed off to get steak-knives (I saw this happen to multiple tables). Everything was so unbelievably slow and disjointed. We sat for nearly 20 mins after finishing mains with no drinks or food or attention before I had to ask a waiter to clear the table and offer us the dessert menus. Reading other reviews this seems to have been an issue for quite a while. With so many better places in Sydney at the same price-point , Id pick somewhere else.

We had high tea today for my Birthday back in May - yes it s November - but COVID and all that. So, there was a lot of anticipation, I can tell you. .and I can t say enough about how wonderful the high tea was! The food was yummy and gorgeous to look at. They went out of their way, as I m a Coeliac. The Manager and I had a lovely chat and turns out she s gluten intolerant too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The social distancing was all happening. So, it was a relaxing and enjoyable arvo all round. We both enjoyed it thoroughly. The complimentary free glass of bubbles went down very nicely too! Thank you Four Seasons, Sydney. It was a long time coming, but today was perfect.

The food was fun to eat, we mostly picked from the entree and starters and had the duck as a main. The duck was a bit chewy but it turns out I didnt cut with the grain. Once cutting with the grain, the duck wasnt as chewy. The atmosphere was not spectacular but thats okay. The highlight of the night was the desert : Frozen green Pavlova, pear, green apple, cucumber & dill $22. It had a theatrical entrance and was quite refreshing! The Iceberg had a tasty dressing. The Zucchini flowers, wood roasted, buffalo ricotta & truffle, fresh peas had welcoming taste and texture.

I really enjoyed my experience here. We booked for a table of 6 and were seated on a rectangular table. If you had 6 or more, you would probably get the round table which I thought was better. Restaurant - Warm and inviting. Modern, classic and simply beautiful. Although it is a semi opened restaurant & bar located inside the Four Seasons Hotel, it still felt private. Food - We chose everything on the entrée and it did not disappoint. The Hiramasa Kingfish was definitely my favourite out of the 5. Mains - The Risotto was definitely the star from the mains. Full of flavour and simply delicious! The Angus tenderloin was cook perfectly and the chef was nice enough to slice them for us because we were all sharing the platters. Sides - The side were standard however, the Iceberg salad was amazing! Its a salad that you would go back for. Overall - Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and the service was good. Pricing ended up being $107 per person including alcohol (we had 1 bottle of Rose and 1 bottle of White). I would definitely recommend going here for group celebrations.

An all round great experience. Booking was easy and when I needed to push back by half hour it was accommodated with a smile. The decor and atmosphere is very nice. Service was excellent - not too quick, not too slow and plenty attentive. The food was excellent. Following entrees of lovely polenta chips and zucchini flowers we shared the 1kg steak with some sides - it was too much food for us but it was great quality and lovely flavours.

Please do not eat at this restaurant. Sydney is so full of amazing food and this is not it. Came to Mode with friends for an end of year dinner and nothing was done well. Cocktails were awful, environment worse, and most importantly, the food was a disaster. Two friends had the blue eye travella and glacier 51, both of which were bland and poorly conceived. I had the crab rigatoni which tasted of store bought pasta and mediocre tomato based sauce. For the prices charged ($38 for the pasta, $44 and $45 for the fish) the quality of food served was a travesty. To repeat, please consider dining elsewhere, Mode is not worth a quarter of the price charged and there are many fantastic alternatives throughout the city.

A lovely, quiet restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel. The food was good and presented very well. Although my Lamb Shoulder was a bit dry, it was presented beautifully, and the rest of my party were highly complimentary of their dishes. The service was also very attentive. Unfortunately Four Seasons is just off its game lately. Dinner at Mode was really disappointing. This used to be one of my favourite spots and its just missed the mark. The chef texting then touching the food after his dirty phone was a rough start, the tables are old waxy wood like dive bars that could have been covered. The servers either were on their first day or were never taught fine dining service. Empty drinks, no plate removal, just plain indifference. Food was meh, literally every piece of bread was burnt, however the steak was insanely delicious but presented sloppily. Wont go back. Just really expect more from The Four Seasons. Whered your passion go hey?

We dined at Mode last night as two couples It was not overly busy. It took 2.5 hours to have a 3 course meal. The service was appalling. It took 30mins after sitting down to get a first drink. It took a number of prompts throughout the meal to get service. The cost was around $130 per head. The quality of the food was good but the quantity poor. The men in the group joked about going to McDonalds afterwards ! Need less to say I wouldn t go again. There are much better places in this price range

Overpriced bland Hotel restaurant. Average two hours spent there. We went for our anniversary to celebrate. It started well with the oysters but went downhill from there. My starter came 10 mins later, the sauv Blanc we had to go with it was average. The mains took over an hour to arrive after we entered. When we enquired why they told us they were having a busy night but failed to mention to us our courses would be late. Poor customer and impersonal service if you are charging $49 for a main. They did apologise and offered us a free desert and tea but by then the damage was done. I would have walked out but as it was a special occasion it wasn t worth it. I couldn t get out of there quick enough. The next day I regretted paying the full amount. For the hassles it wasn t worth the free desert and a hot drink.

Food and service are absolutely phenomenal - highly recommend the rib eye. Not the first time tasting their rib eye and I can guarantee that this dish is always perfect. Drinks menu consists of a range of variety to complement the food. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an open kitchen and very very friendly staff. Another memorable night, definitely recommend for any occasions, also perfect for festive season.
