Dinning here, I thought it would be great with the 4.6 stars for here.. I was mistakenly wrong. We were rushed around for table and a seat. Our waiter was at our table for enough time to take the order, then leave. Clearly, I would have thought understaffed... but the food, I was excited to see butterfly shrimp on the menu, as usually they are delicious! This was not the case. There was some weird soggy topping, shrimp that is overcooked and rubbery, and a better sauce that was flavorless. When it came to getting the bill, it took over 45 mins, as again our waiter was so busy, and didn't make it back to our table. There are also no pictures for what was served, but we had 6 to our party.
We sat on the patio, my jaw dropped when the plates arrived. So much food for the price. Definitely will go back the next time we are in Thetford Mines!
We had a lovely supper at this restaurant. Excellent food. Place was pack. Make reservation. You can bring your own wine or beer.

La Cité is a place you never finish your meal as it's way too big. Some love it some hate it. I enjoy it. Food service was good but Wine service was terrible. ( Bring your own wine and beer). Taking in consideration that, it's not a bad place. The thing that kills me every time I go there, the very annoying RED LIGHT everywhere. You wonder if you traveled to Amsterdam Red Light District. The light makes it impossible to appreciate the colours of the food and gives a weird wibe.
Surprising restaurant in a town where restaurants seem to disappear as fast as they came to exist Fair prices, huge plates (almost to an excess for those with smaller appetite), tasty and somewhat classy. The staff has been amazing. A place to go for any tourist, for certain.

Everything is number 1. We arrived last minute, they made a place for us. We laughed throughout the dinner with the waiter. The portions are huge and the taste...wow!
Ordinary food and requires that each person eat at least for $16 without any tolerance, even if you are sick and can only eat a few bites, your presence is not appreciated (and do not try to negotiate, no tolerance or empathy) . Twice we went as a group and both times we were told that each person must order for $16 minimum. Never again for us.
The food was excellent! The waitress was great! Fast service! I recommend 100%! We ate starter cheese stick (excellent) bruchetta (excellent) chicken skewer plate (excellent) burger plate (excellent especially the sauce that comes with the fries) only thing we liked less is the rice with the chicken skewer but everyone its taste! Overall it was really good!

This restaurant is crazy! The only drawback is that you have to book extremely early to get a place. Bring your own wine for $100 all inclusive for 2 people, you will have the best restaurant in town!
Never disappointed, we often order for delivery. Fast service, well-filled plates, its always hot, we get what we pay for. I recommend it to everyone, it s my favorite.

A beautiful restaurant, plus its a bring your own wine restaurant. Our meals were good, the plates were expensive, but they were well filled. I am removing one star because it does not accept credit cards as a method of payment.

The menu was changed without giving notice we loved the fried squid but it is no longer like before the service is good but the food has become average and according to the waitress it is because of covid....two people in the group were sick 1 hr after the meal.

This restaurant charges fees which in my opinion is completely illegal. Customers are not allowed to have a dish if it costs less than $16!?!? So if you decide to have a starter because you dont have a big craving that evening, you will be told that it is not enough and that you must have something else! Since when does a restaurateur decide what I eat???? Additionally, if I book for a group and one person does not show up, I have to pay a no-show fee!! AVOID! We should not encourage such practices!
We were a large group with several regulars. We liked the food and the service was great. It was sometimes difficult to chat since the restaurant was full and really noisy. There is plenty of parking.

We were passing through and looking for a BYOB restaurant. Great choice, big portions, A1 food quality. Very reasonable price for the quality and quantity. And, in our case, great service from Sonia, very attentive to our needs and cheerful. We highly recommend!!

We were looking for a bring your own wine restaurant in this beautiful town of Therford Minrs several were closed, and we found this marvel, super brilliant atmosphere, impeccable service, and excellent food, well-filled plate, you get what you pay for and I will swear you dont have room for grignonnote in the evening . Congratulations to the prpprio, their cook and the charming waitresses who always have a smile. I highly recommend it. We were so happy we passed it on to the next ones. You will not be disappointed. FRAUD! I dont recommend at all! This restaurant operates and establishes completely illegal fees! If you book for 14 people and one person doesnt show up, they will charge you $20 per head! I was even given the example that if 6 people dont show up its $120 for the person who booked!!! Its illegal! Ask the consumer protection office before getting scammed! At worst, pay by Visa they reimburse the illegal fees.

What a great discovery this evening! Excellent service from our waitress and staff in general. The years of experience of our waitress made all the difference (40 years of service) The food was excellent. I asked to make changes to my plate (no rice or potatoes) and everything was respected, this is a shortcoming in many restaurants unfortunately. The portions are generous and a very good price. Plus we can bring our own wine! Thank you for an excellent meal and we ll see you again soon

Being in Thetford, we decided to order a take out pizza following the reviews which seemed good. What a disappointment, the pizza was greasy, all wet in the box with too much sauce which looked like spaghetti sauce and not pizza sauce.

Seriously, I am very very very VERY satisfied with my first order and especially that asteur has delivery. I recommend everyone to try this restaurant, I had a AAA filet mignon skewer and I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY NEGATIVE. Everything was excellent, rice, potatoes, salad and even delicious bread. A very good portion. Hoping that the delivery will last a while because it wont be the last time I order. Arrive in no time. A big thank you for this wonderful meal. 5Star
